HOW WE BECAME PRIESTS
“You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” — Psalm 110:4; Hebrews 7:17 Like almost all peoples throughout history, the Jewish people believed that sacrifice was one of the essential elements for dealing with sin and setting humanity free (see Lv 4:13-14). The person who offers sacrifices to God on behalf of the people is called a priest. Thus, priests are an essential part…

“Hidden but Not Hidden” By Bible Love Notes:
“Psalm 119:11 says: “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
In this verse, hidden doesn't mean concealing God's Word. It means storing it up and treasuring it in our hearts.
If you read all 176 verses of Psalm 119, you'll discover many ways that the psalmist hid God's Word in his heart. For example:
Psalm 119:9-16: “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. 12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.”
In these verses, the psalmist hides God's Word by:
1. Obeying it – verse 9. “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” —James 1:22‭-‬25 (NLT)
2. Seeking God in it – verse 10. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” —Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
3. Studying it with the Spirit's help – verse 12. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” —John 14:26 (NKJV)
4. Reciting it – verse 13. “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” —Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
5. Enjoying it – verse 14. “The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.” —Psalm 19:8 (NLT)
6. Meditating on it – verse 15. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” —Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)
7. Spending time regularly in it – verse 16. “—”Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” —2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)
Are you “hiding” God's Word in your heart?”

Giving Our Feelings to God
Today's inspiration comes from:
The Weekly Habits Project
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." — Isaiah 43:19
"For better or worse, our emotions carry a great deal of influence over how we choose to act. When fear gets in the way, we become impulsive and reactive, losing sight of what God has for us. We trade in the rich, new thing He promised for a cheaper replica.
So how do we know this new thing is happening? We put our senses to work. We see and feel what God has set in motion.
The Father intimately knows your needs, and He will provide for them. Prepare your heart to experience the good He has for you.
Conditioning the Heart
For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart. — Hebrews 4:12 AMP
Every new year, people resolve to be healthier. Gym memberships skyrocket along with the sales of athleisure wear. A month or two later, ambition has faded, the gym crowds have thinned out, and athleisure is just a style. We wait for a more pressing call to action to pick up healthy habits... or we wait for the next new year.
So it goes with an on-again, off-again relationship with the Word. Even though we feel lost, overwhelmed, or burdened day after day, our Bibles sit untouched.
To condition your heart, you need to spend time reading the Bible. This week’s verses reveal both the power of God’s Word and why you might shy away from it — because sometimes confronting the truth hurts. But conditioning your heart this way will give you energy, make you whole, and bring you into alignment with God’s heart.
Use this week to meditate on a Bible passage. Read it every day.
What is God saying to you in this passage? Listen for His voice.
Feelings can make or break a habit.
Change Needs Roots
But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. — Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT
It’s a fact: hard times are going to come. And when your resources begin to dry up, you’ll need to connect to your life source. (Remember that stream God promised in the wasteland in Isaiah 43:19?)
Jeremiah reminds us that those who trust in God are blessed, like a tree with deep roots. But God wants more for you than mere survival.
He wants to see you thrive, which can only happen when you tap into His life-giving goodness.
As you start to carry out your habits, check in with your heart. Remember, the fruits of the Spirit you’ll produce as a result of your habit will not only yield actions like love and self-control; they’ll also give you feelings of joy and peace. When our roots reach deep into God’s love, the effort to change comes with more ease. As a result, more fruit follows.
What hardships are you experiencing in this season? Choose one to trust God with this week.
Have you been able to make small changes? Have you seen or felt the fruits of those changes?

My Thoughts and Review of the Evangelical Study Bible (Thomas Nelson Bibles, 2023)
It’s summertime here along the coast of the smallest state in the USA. It’s time to kick back, relax, sip tall drinks, and wait for the next cool breeze. Or one could amp up their summertime scripture study. Maybe a bit of both is good advice. At least not languishing spiritually during the hot, summer days seems wise. My daily routine includes bible reading, meditation, and scripture study…

Daily Devotionals for May 8, 2023
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 16:1-3 (KJV):
1 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 16:1-3 (Amp):
1 The plans of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the (wise) answer of the tongue.
2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits -- the thoughts and intents of the heart.
3 Roll your works upon the Lord -- commit and trust them wholly to Him; (He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and) so shall your plans be established and succeed.
Thought for the Day
Verse 1 - When a man has the heavenly Father's heart, he orders his speech to reflect God's wisdom. As His children, we prepare ourselves to receive from Him by filling our hearts with His Word. Reading the Bible renews our minds, changing our carnal thinking to godly thinking. God's Word cleanses us like water, washing our minds clean (Ephesians 5:26-27). We must not only meditate on God's Word but also ask Him to help us apply it to our lives. God's Word is full of power and able to change us, as we call upon Him in faith to help us obey it. "For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power-making it active, operative, energizing and effective; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and (the immortal) spirit, and of joints and marrow (that is, of the deepest parts of our nature) exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12, AMP)
Verse 2 - Without God's light, man always thinks himself to be pure. He is unable to perceive that his thoughts or deeds are wrong. God sees the thoughts and intents of men's hearts and weighs our spirits, revealing Himself to those searching for the truth. Without God, a man walks in ways that seem right but which actually lead to death (Proverbs 14:12). He will perish unless he gives his life to God and follows Him.
Verse 3 - As we commit our works wholly to the Lord, He causes our thoughts to come into agreement with His will. Our plans will then succeed because they are His plans. When I am in doubt about what to do in a situation, I ask God to make my thoughts and feelings about it stronger if they are from Him. If they are not from Him, I ask that He will remove them from my mind and replace them with His thoughts. We must not be led by circumstances or by emotions, but by the Holy Spirit's guidance. The sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. Our thoughts, circumstances, and emotions should line up with what the Spirit has revealed to us. He leads; we follow. "Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:12-14).
If we strive to please God, we will not live to please our flesh. When we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we are promised success in whatever we do. Our all-wise Father in heaven will not allow His sons and daughters to be defeated if we follow the ways of the Lord and desire to please Him.
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for your promise of wisdom and guidance. Lord, help us overcome our carnal desires and live to glorify and please You in all of our ways. Fill us with the Holy Spirit daily, so that we can walk in Your power to overcome those things that the devil uses to try and defeat us. Lord, cleanse our hearts and minds of the things that do not agree with Your Word. Lord, bless Your people everywhere and meet their needs this day. Lord, bless each brother and sister in all the countries of the world. Meet their needs, as well as ours, so that we all can share the gospel with others who need You. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

New Post has been published on https://andybondurant.com/2023/01/24/step-into-peace-be-set-free/
Step into peace. Be set free.
In the Gospel of Mark is a wonderful combination of stories. Mark 5 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible, in which we find three stories of desperation. A man is desperate to be set free from demon possession. A woman is desperate to be healed from a twelve-year sickness. A father is desperate to see his daughter healed from a deadly fever.
2023: A Year of PEACE
This year, my Word of the Year is PEACE. So, as a note of warning, expect to read more than the expected posts on the subject of peace or shalom. Also, remember, desperation is a key to growing from your Word of the Year.
With this in mind, I want to focus on the middle story of Mark 5, the story of the sick woman. Jesus has just arrived from across the lake (where he set free the man from an army of demons), and he is on his way to the home of the little girl. On his way, Jesus stops because he feels healing power exit his body.
This woman, desperate for healing, believes if she can just touch the hem of Jesus’ robe, she will be healed. She’s right, and Jesus senses it. The disciples are incredulous — how could they know which person touched Jesus among the massive crowd pressing around him? Meekly, the woman presents herself to Jesus, and she explains to him her purpose and belief. This is Jesus response:
“And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.””  -‭‭Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭34‬ ‭NLT‬‬
A Bible Study Tip
A great tip to understanding what we read in the Bible is to read a verse or passage in multiple different versions. I typically read the Bible in the New Living Translation (NLT). When I don’t understand something, or if I’m intrigued by a passage, I’ll read it in another translation. Here are a few of my go-to’s are: English Standard Version [ESV], The Message [MSG], New American Standard Bible [NASB], New King James Version [NKJV] and the New International Version [NIV]).
One version that I don’t often look at, but is a great translation, is the Amplified Bible (AMP or AMPC). The Amplified Bible is a translation that merges a word-for-word translation with a thought for thought translation. Most versions are thought-for-thought translations, because this is how most translation work is done. In most cases, there are a few different ways to translate a word or two within the general thought. Having the meaning of these different words give us more context for understanding.
Mark 5:34 is a great example of this. The intent of Jesus in the NLT version is clear – the faith of the woman is what healed her. Her belief that the power of Jesus was accessible through her faith was next level. Jesus was amazed. But reading it in the Amplified version, we see something deeper when Jesus says, “Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
This is how the Amplified Bible translates Mark 5:34:
“And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your trust and confidence in Me, springing from faith in God) has restored you to health. Go in (into) peace and be continually healed and freed from your [distressing bodily] disease.”   -‭‭Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭34‬ ‭AMPC‬‬
2 Thoughts on PEACE.
Again, let’s focus on the second half of Jesus’ statement. Here are two thoughts on PEACE.
1. Step INTO peace.
One of the practices I’ve added to my devotion routine this year is meditation. Meditation can mean many different things, so for me it means taking 5-10 minutes to quiet my mind and heart to focus on God. Since my 2023 Word of the Year is PEACE, I’ve been talking to God about experiencing his peace.
As I’ve read about and meditated on peace, it’s become clear to me that true peace is almost a physical presence. When I walk into a chaotic situation, if I have peace, then the peace enters into the room with me. I can bring peace into that chaos (or vice versa, the chaos can enter into my peace). Peace can almost be an aura that I take with me.
So when Jesus tells the woman to ‘go into peace’ it’s more than just telling her to walk away peaceful. Jesus tells her to enter into a new place of her life – as if she were walking into a new and different room. Peace can be something that comes onto you, but it is also something you can step into. Peace is a new and different environment for you to enter.
To experience true peace, you must choose to step into it. When you are in peace, then you can also take peace with you to the places you enter — both dark and bright.
2. Faith heals. Peace frees.
PTSD is real. Lots of different things in life can cause trauma. Most of us are familiar with PTSD from military combat, but we are also learning about people experiencing long-term trauma from bad relationships, financial difficulties, abuse of all kinds, and illness among others.
This woman suffered from her illness for 12 years. We’re not exactly sure what her illness was — “constant bleeding” is how the NLT puts it. Maybe it was some kind of internal bleeding or an open wound that wouldn’t heal? Possibly it was as issue with her reproductive system? I’m guessing she experienced physical pain with this sickness. The poor woman endured twelve years of constant pain, shame, doctor appointments and failed treatment. There was a high possibility of her suffering from PTSD.
In the NLT, Jesus says, ‘Go in peace. Your suffering is over.” Again, the thought is consistent with what Jesus is communicating to the lady, but the deeper thought is stepping into God’s peace will be what truly frees her from the suffering she has experienced. It is peace that will free her from the future suffering she faced – shame, fear, anxiety. It was her faith that healed her from the illness, but it would be peace that would free her in the future.
Faith will heal you – physically, relationally, emotionally, spiritually. Peace will set you free from the shame, fear and anxiety that will try to follow you into your future.
Step into peace. Be set free.

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 (AMP) There will be many temptations to think about things going wrong for your children. Please don’t give in because it can make you lose peace. Philippians 4:9 reveals that practicing Philippians 4:8 will give us peace of mind and keep us in God’s presence. When the enemy comes with lies that evil will befall your children and God cannot protect them, counter lies with God’s Word concerning your children. God’s Word is true, pure, lovely, and everything Philippians 4:8 presents to us. We must center our minds on God’s Word and implant them in our hearts as the guiding force determining our perception and response to life. We cannot know what scripture to engage in countering the enemy’s lies if we do not study and meditate on God’s Word daily. So, I invite you to make time for God’s Word. Signing up for a Bible reading plan is one way to get started. This way, you don’t need to guess what to read daily. Following a Bible reading plan has helped me in my faith walk, and I encourage you to try it. Prayer: Father, you are the source of peace. Your peace calms every storm and gives rest. Give me the grace to think on whatever is true, honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed your word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, and whatever is admirable, of good repute, excellent and worthy of praise. I acknowledge that I cannot do this in my power or might, but by your Spirit, I can center my mind on you and overcome the enemy's lies. Thank you, Father! I ask all these in the name of Jesus. Alleluia! #morningdevo https://www.instagram.com/p/ChmXe3WutdX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Jeremiah 4:19-6:15, Colossians 1:18-2:7, Psalms 77:1-20, Proverbs 24:23-25
Today is the 5th day of October, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it is wonderful to be here with you today just like it is wonderful to be here with you every day. We’re fortunate. We’re fortunate to have the Global Campfire. We’re fortunate to have this place to come to each and every day. And, so, I'm grateful. And let's dive in. We are in the book of Jeremiah, kinda just getting moved into that. We are also in the book of…the book, but the letter to the Colossians, which we just began yesterday. So, we’re just getting into that so it's kind of new territory for us. We’re reading from the Common English Bible this week. Jeremiah chapter 4 verse 19 through 6 verse 15 today.
Commentary:
Okay. So, there are days when we come to our reading from the Psalms that what we read is so raw, so honest, and we find that as a bit of a trademark in the Psalms. And we find that actually in music, right? We can find certainly pretentious music, sometimes that heart cry, or that person singing about heartbreak or some other thing that has happened and it just comes through because of the music, the feeling the emotion of the words is exponentially amped up, more on display. And, so, when we find music, a song, a lyric from the Psalms in the Bible saying what we feel, then we identify with it. And we may be…we may take a step back and go, “why is that in the Bible? The Bible’s supposed to be full of encouragement, all positivity.” But actually, the Bible is something that's there to reach our hearts and to lead us to God. And honesty is a place to start. And, so, we see that in the 77th psalm today that Asaph wrote. And he cries out in this Psalm with like…like a barrage of questions…maybe not a barrage…six questions in particular, but one after the other after the other. And if we pay attention to those questions, we find…we find ourselves in different seasons in our…in our lives having asked the same things. So, Asaph asks, “will my Lord reject me forever. Will He never be pleased again? Has His faithful love come to a complete end? Is His promise over for future generations? Has God forgotten how to be gracious? Has He angrily stopped up His compassion?” Those are some intensely honest questions. And maybe we haven’t used these exact words, but we've had these sentiments, we've had these thoughts, they've been in our hearts. Many of them we've spoken aloud and typically this is happening when we are not happy about something, right, when we have a crisis to deal with or we have to endure something or we’re suffering in some way. We usually don’t ask where has His…His compassion gone if everything is awesome and were having a great day. It’s usually when we’re in a season of challenge that these kinds of things begin to bubble up out of our heart. And it's not like they weren't there. They just emerge. They reveal themselves and all the sudden we check in with our own hearts and see that we’re not doing all that great. And at this point in the Psalm Asaph isn't doing that great. So, he asks these six questions that we just asked or read ourselves. His response after those six questions is, “it's my misfortune I thought that the strong hand of the most-high is different now.” That is so honest. That…that…that rings true. This is how he is actually experiencing life at the moment. And it…it's so ancient. These words are thousands of years old and so relevant. And, so, we can see again, permission to be honest, it's just what do we do once we reach that place…point…point that we stuffed things down inside enough till they kind of emerge, whether they blow up or they just seep out. What's going on in our heart is going to seep out into our lives. So, what we do with it. Well…the first thing is to be honest about it. We’re seeing this modeled in the Bible, to be honest about it, but there are still choices to be made, because we can get really honest about how were feeling and we can cry tears and weep and plead and yell and spin around in circles and jump up and down and do whatever we need to do to release some of the energy, but we can get stuck there as if nothing will ever change and we can…we can turn toward bitterness and that will only make it worse. That will only lead us into further depths. It's…it's as if Asaph caught himself and then gives another path. And, so, Asaph says, “I will remember the Lord’s deeds. Yes, I will remember your wondrous acts from times long past. I will meditate on all your works. I will ponder your deeds. God, your way is holiness. Who is as great a God as you, God? You are the God who works wonders. You have demonstrated your strength among all peoples.” So I don't know that Asaph was a journal-er, but what he’s saying is he will remember what God has done and let that inform how he's feeling now. And, so, often when we have kind of journaled our way through a year or through the Bible we’ll always have that so that when we can't remember we have an epistle to ourselves, a letter to ourselves, essentially, that reminds us so that we might remember God's faithfulness toward us, that yes, how we feel, what we’re enduring, what we’re facing, that's real, it's formidable, maybe it's terrifying, maybe scary, maybe it brings anxiety. It’s life. It can be anything. The problem isn't being honest about it, right, so that we fake, like it's not happening, which is so really prevalent in our faith culture. It's…it’s not the honesty that's an issue. It's what we do with it. If we use our honesty to dig a pit that we might wallow in it, we can certainly do that and we’ll stay in the pit, we'll be in the pit until we get out of the pit. What Asaph is modeling is recognizing through honesty that you are at a precipice in making a choice to remember, we’ve been this way before, suffered things before, endured things before, and scared before. God is faithful, and I will remember that. And, so, let's take that into our day. I mean, that right there, I know…I know lots of you are going through stuff and need that today. And, so, thank God, I totally understand. And, so, let's carry it today, that honesty is necessary and important, but it's not the end. It's the beginning. Let's be honest, and then let's remember that God is and has always been faithful.
Prayer:
Father, and we acknowledge that. You are always faithful. We have no examples of a time where You double-crossed anybody. You have always been true. You've always according to the Scriptures had a desire to be in fellowship to draw us to Yourself. We see this on every page of the Bible, Your relentless unwillingness to surrender us and Your continual willingness to pursue our hearts over the course of thousands of years and that hasn't changed. You are faithful and we remember. And come Holy Spirit and bring to mind throughout the course of this day all kinds of time maybe we’ve forgotten that You’ve been faithful and have rescued us. This encourages us. This gives us confidence. This develops our faith. And, so come, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Commentary:
dailyaudiobible.com is home base, it's the website, it’s where you find out what's going on around here. And as I say often you can find out what's going on around here using the Daily Audio Bible app as well by pushing the Drawer icon in the upper left-hand corner.
And actually, let’s take a second to talk about that because a number of you, thousands of you have had some problems over the last several days, especially…specifically accessing the Daily Audio Bible through the app or through web. And I could probably sit here and talk for several hours…and I mean…probably hours just about what it's like in the technology world and developing etc. etc. and the way in which it is a nonstop, constant…constant move forward. Just like we do at the Daily Audio Bible, a step forward together every day. But some of the stuff that's happened in the last couple of days that have been frustrating have been frustrating to us too because it's been beyond our control. Essentially, there…not to get too far in the weeds, but there's a way that security is done on the Internet and encrypting things so that data can’t be intercepted or passed along, and we don't have any of that kind of data at the Daily Audio Bible but we follow those protocols. And a major Internet security certificate issuer let their own certificate expire, which ended up affecting hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people, including stores that, you know, couldn’t do transactions, not just Internet stores, but store stores and the Daily Audio Bible was affected as well. So, we've done what we do whenever an issue like this arises or when we see something more widespread. We get together and start dissecting the problem and identifying and figuring out the solution. Sometimes a problem requires a long-term solution. And, so, we have to look long term and short term, but this is the nature of it. And, so, we have been working pretty feverishly to not be relying on those specific certificates or rather, getting them in our own control. And that will make us responsible for them, but it’ll also give us control over them so that if they expire it's our fault. And, so, that is what we are in the process of doing and this should all straighten itself out. This particular issue, almost across the board has affected people who are android users who have an android type device and we were in contact and we were given the same information everybody else is being given, to be sure to advise anyone using an android device to make sure that their operating system is the most current because apparently there are some fixes for issues like this in the most current iteration of…of android. So, I'm passing that information along. And I'll just say like even yesterday, places that are…places that have billions of users, like places way, way, way beyond the Daily Audio Bible like Facebook or Instagram, they were out yesterday or messenger our WhatsApp. They were out yesterday. Totally different issues, but issues. And they have an army of developers. So, just know, it can get crazy out there. And we are, in a way, aloof. Every…well…there’s a team that works on this every day at Daily Audio Bible. And also know that we have developed two different players. One is the Daily Audio Bible app, of course, but we also have an online player that you can access from the Daily Audio Bible website, at dailyaudiobible.com. We've built those two things separately so that we have at least inside of our community here a little bit of redundancy. So, know that if you are ever having an issue with the app just got to player.dailyaudiobible.com and you’ll have a player that is connected to the system and works the same as the app. And a widespread issue like the one we experienced over the weekend and into yesterday, that kinda stuff affects everything. It was affecting hundreds of thousands of people but we work really, really diligently to serve the community here and we always will. And we’re working on some…some longer-term projects that will invariably be incorporated over the next year to stabilize and help us serve even better. And, so, if you experience difficulties, pray for us. Pray for us. It’s so much more effective than hate mail. Pray for us as we pray for you every day. We’re in this together. Also know that we’re experiencing an uptick right now. And, so, I live in the central time zone here in the rolling hills of Tennessee. So, like 5AM to 11AM is when we’re geetin’ hammered. That’s when so many people are accessing the system. Beautiful. Love it. We’re increasing resources in that direction. But if you’re experience sluggishness, just wait. It's that so many people are trying to access the same content that you are. So, be patient for like even a minute, which is…I know that’s pretty hard to do on the internet. We expect super high-speed super quick response. Boom boom boom I push the button and the thing happens. But sometimes when you have…when you push the button you are sending a message out that says to the server, I'm requesting this bit of information then the server computes and collects the information that you want and sends it back. And when a lot of people are asking for the same things at the same times then it cues up. So, just be patient for just a minute. Typically, everything can…can sort itself out. But anyway, I don’t want to get into the weeds here. Just pray for us as we pray for you as we continue to take the next step forward together because it is the deepest passion to bring the spoken word fresh every single day and brought to you excellently. When that has to happen seven days a week without fail invariably, sooner or later there are challenges. The team that works on all of this technology are also a part of who we are and listen to the Daily Audio Bible every day as well. So, pray for us. We’re in this together.
And, of course, as always if you have a prayer request or you have an encouragement you can hit the Hotline button in the app, which is the little red button up at the top or you can dial…you see the redundancy here…you can dial 877-942-4253.
And that is it for today. I'm Brian. I love you and I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.
Community Prayer and Praise:
Good morning my name is Z and I'd like to thank everyone in the DAB community for supporting each other. This is a beautiful beautiful forum. And the purpose of my call is to ask for prayer for myself as I undergo some challenges and uneasiness at work at present. I'm feeling unfulfilled, unappreciated and have been in my position for four years. It's…it pays the bills and I have a wonderful team of people under me, but my issue is leadership. I feel that it could be better and it's frustrating at present to the point where I feel like I…I want to leave. I’m just hoping to find wisdom to make the right decision. I hope to…to get a sign from God as to what I should do in this situation. I can't continue to be frustrated day in and day out in that environment in which I spend most of my…my day. So, I pray brothers and sisters, I ask for your prayer that I find the wisdom to make the right decision and get through this. Thank you.
Daily Audio Bible this…this prayer is for Alicia from Colorado who used to live in Montana. Alicia is blind and she just is recovering from COVID and she doesn't have her sense of taste or smell back and she's going through lots of fear and unsteadiness and…and lots of crying in depression and so understandable especially if you're blind and…and…and, you know, and possibly alone. Father we lift up Alicia to you right now in the name of Jesus. We pray that you give her a hope and a faith that surpasses all this fear because opposite of fear…opposite of faith is fear. And Alicia the scripture says hope deferred makeith the heart sick but long and fulfilled is the tree of life. We pray that you will have this hope that you will get your…your taste back and the smell of food back so that you can eat and get your body strong again. Alicia, I…I know from just being here in Florida and the people that I know they still it takes months sometimes it takes up to 6 to 12 months to get…to get your taste and smell back. But we know God honor's prayer and God is healing you and we claim that right now in the name of Jesus, that you will get it back quickly. So, we claim that right now. DABbers please agree with me in Jesus’ name for Alicia and we lift her up to you in Jesus’ name we pray that you give her the peace that's surpasses all understanding and…and a vast amount of faith and we come against depression and we pray that you fill her up with your joy and your peace in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Hi this is Just as I am Sam in Northern California my first-time calling in. I started listening to Daily Audio Bible in 2019 and I'm totally hooked. I love how Brian just can make sense out of the Bible and put it in such understandable terms. So, thank you so much for that. And I would like to ask for prayer for myself. I'm having an MRI tomorrow. That's on Friday. And I have chronic pain in my spine and back and I'm just praying that Jesus will light it up and…and show the doctors what's going on. I've struggled with this pain for over 15 years, and we would like to get help and answers. So, I'd appreciate your prayers. And I’m praying for all of you as well. And it's been a wonderful group and help in times of loneliness and I love you all. Thank you. God bless you.
Hello this is Ruth __. I'm calling to thank you Brian, Jill, China for devoting your life to this __. I have in my heart there was a call that came in last week with a mother who was talking about her children. She had many. I think she might have mentioned she had nine children. And they were molested by their father and the father has been put in jail. And I lift the children up to you Lord and their mother. I just…my heart breaks just knowing that they've gone through such horrible situation. I know that You can rectify this. I know that she can bring them back and make them whole, so they don't spend their lives worrying about this all the time. Lord and I also I want to ask for prayer for my family. I have a daughter who's stepped away from me for reasons I never understand, and I need to have her back again. I also have a grandson who is not doing well, and he has stepped away from the family. I lift them all up to You Lord. You can…You can heal this family and bring them back. I thank you. Thank you all I love each one of you and I try to remember to pray for you each and every day. Thank you.

GET IT?
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; hence, the holy Offspring to be born will be called Son of God.” –Luke 1:35 The Church encourages us to pray the “Angelus” on waking, at noon, and in the evening. Three times a day we pray and think about Jesus’ Incarnation. When we pray the rosary, we refer to the Incarnation fifty-three times — each time we…

The Key to success

Joshua 1:8 (AMP)
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.
We’ve heard this verse a lot of times and yet there are times we neglect the value or importance of keeping ourselves in meditation of His words.
For me God is simply saying to us that He want’s us to talk to Him everyday  through His words, the Bible.  God want’s us keep a fellowship with Him, meditate His Word and ponder it through out the day.
What’s in it for us that we must keep on meditating His Words?
Many people think that prosperity and success can be attain from having power or by being influential and hardworking. But they don’t know that the strategy to prosper goes against the instruction God gave too Joshua.
God said to Joshua that he must be strong and courageous because the task ahead will not be easy. Then God also said that we must obey the law and constantly read and study the book of instructions (Bible) to become successful.
In addition to that, when we meditate His Words we should really take TIME and effort when we meditate. Set your mind that meditating His word isn’t like we are in a Fast food restaurants where we ate as fast as we can because we still have to do something after it. In a fast food chain we didn’t take time to enjoy the food that we are eating, we chew it faster and sometimes it causes indigestion to us. Meditating His Word should be like you are in a FEASTING, you take time on savoring every bite of it. Meditate, ponder, think, study and reflect on it through out the day.
On the counter part of it, if we will not put priority on meditating His Word everyday we might get lost along the way. Neglecting the Word of the Lord was a recipe for disaster. We must consider the Bible as our daily manual on how are we going to operate or use our life wisely and accordingly. Like Joshua we would be wise to take heed to God’s word.
What should we do now that we know or we are reminded that His Word is one of the essential matter in our life?
Listen to the Voice of the Lord
Read and meditate what God says through His word day and night
Ponder it in our hearts and you can also talk about it with your brothers and sisters in Christ
Recite His word in our heart and to keep the truth of His Word forever on our lips and in our hearts
We may not succeed by the World’s standards, always remember that if we do as God says in His word we are successful in God’s eyes, and that’s what matter’s most. Like Joshua we would be wise to take heed to God’s word. For then we will truly prosper and succeed in whatever we do, for the benefit of His Glory!

Meeting Dead Sisters
~By Shawn Gibson~
Tumblr media
Two years ago, a mysterious trio called DEAD SISTERS emerged upon the New England scene, capturing our attention forthwith. A year later, they were playing Maryland Doom Festival. It was high time that Doomed & Stoned followed the trail of holy hell to meet them.
Let's do introductions! Who's who in the band and what do you play?
C: Sister Catherine, I play guitar and whatever else is needed.
M: Sister Meredeth, I worship with my voice and percussion instruments.
K: Sister Kerr, I play guitar and sing.
What is the inspiration and origin of Dead Sisters?
C: We are like-minded in that we wish to guide vibrations to their fullest potential of beauty with the utmost of patience.
M: The inspiration for DS is the beginning of time itself. The origin is the collision of time, place, judgement and reckoning.
K: We are longtime sisters and collaborators; we started by writing and recording our first piece (Sermon) using markers and poster paper. We wanted to react to a prominent and powerful death cult by plugging in as many amplifiers as possible.
How would you describe your music?
C: The pieces are reflections of every path we choose to take under the oppression of a strangling society with temporal experiences of the confusion and excitement that comes with commitment.
M: Our music is pure and divine and moving. It is wholly dedicated to our worshipers.
K: Meditative and cathartic. Wrathful, violent, and fun.
What drives your music?
C: Sorrow and Joy.
M: Our music is driven by ignorance, inequality and hate of today’s society. Hail Hartley.
K: Our connection to one another (we live in different states) and our commitment to spreading the truth.
Please explain the artwork for 'Dead Sisters' (2018) and 'All Your Eyes' (2019).
C: I am very pleased with the depiction.
M: The artwork for our first releases come from a family heirloom. To be preserved before its eminent decay.
K: Animal flesh is often arranged in pleasing shapes so children find it more palatable to eat. Bibles are often presented with illustrations for the same purpose.
Will there be Dead Sisters patches in the future?
C: Patches are the stepping stones to tapestries. Very soon.
M: Soon we will have patches and treasures beyond any dream.
K: We have many ideas for more effective and eye-catching paraphernalia in the future. Remain alert.
What music has influenced your own? Bands like Buried At Sea?
C: La Monte Young, Meth Drinker.
M: Musical influences include Pentagram, Grief, Electric Wizard, Wayne Shorter, Noothgrush, Ahab, Toadliquor, Daughters, Miles Davis, Anal Cunt, Dopethrone, Bongripper, Bill Evans, Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death, Coffinworm, Elvin Jones, John Luther Adams and many others.
K: The Body, Khanate, Lingua Ignota, Morton Feldman, Swans, and the wrongful deaths of innumerable women and children at the hands of pious men.
I ordered a Dead Sisters shirt and cassette from your Bandcamp page. Do the cassettes come with lyrics? I am curious to know the lyrics to your songs!
K: Our lyrics are available to read on our Bandcamp page. We include them with every song. The cassette does not have lyrics.
On your Bandcamp page, one of your tags for your music says anti-Christian? Could you talk about that a little bit?
C: Christianity is an illusion that has been shoved upon the residents of our society as a way to keep Feudalism alive. We choose not to turn a blind eye to true sin by addressing hypocrisy instigated by the bourgeoisie. If there is any confusion, I will clear it up now: Nazism has NO place in any world.
M: Anti-Christian tags are for clarity, yet occasionally remain unnoticed. Society is an illusion.
K: Child-threatening death cults have no place in a healthy society. Abuse apologists and master manipulators should not hold power. Is a book which promotes violence and othering an appropriate rulebook? Much so-called Christian art is very beautiful. People and life are beautiful. Some ideas are not.
What is a fantastic book that has blown your mind?
C: Wisconsin Death Trip is my favorite picture book.
M: No comment.
K: I enjoy reading utopian science fiction. I just finished The Dispossessed by Ursula K. LeGuin (more of an anarchist perspective and very moving, LeGuin’s short stories are wonderful too). My favorite book of this type is Island by Aldous Huxley.
What makes the Sisters laugh?
M: My sisters bring me much humor.
ALL YOUR EYES by Dead Sisters
What bands are Dead Sisters listening to these days?
C: Iggy Pop, Curtis Mayfield, The Body.
M: dim, Angel Morgue, Greylock, The Cult, Spectral Voice, Blood Incantation, Thou, cttboto, Thin Lizzy, Fistula and Churchburn.
K: Kali Malone, Blackwater Holylight, Body Void, Dreamcrusher, Low, Malevich.
I saw a flyer on your Instagram that you played with Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean! I love them! I'm glad to have seen them at New Brookland Tavern in Columbia, South Carolina. How was that show? I wish I could have been at that show seeing both of you live!
C: We did great. I made one new friend.
M: Our inaugural ceremony was a cataclysm of divine tools and true worshipers. DUSK-Providence, RI is a genuine temple.
K: Playing with Chained was a great experience, and extremely loud. We hope to gather our amps with them again soon. They are touring in November to support their new album; everyone should endeavor to see them. We share a mutual love of Thou’s music.
I was just four minutes and forty seconds into 'All Your Eyes' (2019) and holy fuck! I was almost knocked out when it got heavier.
M: A holy fuck indeed.
K: Thank you. One of our goals is to reward the patient and attentive listener with a powerful experience.
'All Your Eyes' (2019), which inspires me to get a tattoo of that song somehow, is twenty-one minutes and fifty seconds long. 'Dead Sisters' (2018) has "Call To Worship" which is fifteen minutes and fifty seconds. "Sermon" is thirty-seven and fourteen seconds long. "Benediction" twenty-one minutes and thirty-six seconds long. Very heavy slabs to consume!
C: The TABs are rather light.
M: Temporal matters of our recorded worships are required for true enlightenment.
K: Getting the tattoo may likely take less time than listening to our cassette. You might try doing both simultaneously. Why would you mark up your beautiful body like that? You should be ashamed.
What has been an awkward situation for Dead Sisters?
C: Every time a worship musician gives us a misinformed shoutout.
M: An awkward moment for my sisters and I occurs when places of worship cannot support our holy current.
Do you play in other bands? Would you tell us if you did?
C: I would never.
M: Other projects include choir, our badminton team and heavy seasonal gardening.
What is in the future for Dead Sisters?
C: Many drink tickets and blown fuses.
M: The future of DS is terrifying and certain.
K: Stay with us. Without you we are nothing. Several releases are imminent, one of which will be very substantial.

Hosea 6:1-3 AMP - wow the Lord is so good and speaking when we ask to hear His voice 💖🙏🏻 I’m asking to see God’s presence and hear God’s voice more in my life again, face to face, desperately desiring a refreshment for my soul after a long period of feeling pretty beat up. I’m exhausted! 😩 Today my Bible app opened to this chapter. Okay God, I feel this👌🏻🙏🏻 Lately I’ve been taking comfort in the hidden promises of the Old Testament. There’s so many of them waiting to be (re)discovered! Everyone is always so focused on the Gospels and Paul’s letters in the New Testament for encouragement and direction (don’t get me wrong, they’re wonderful 💯) that it feels rare these days to really dig deep into the depths of the OT to find God’s heart and promises. I think we often forget the authors of the NT only had the OT to work with - so much of their encouragement, wisdom, and direction comes from meditating on what God has already spoken through the OT. Jesus was constantly quoting the OT! I’ve talked with so many people over the years who don’t really like the OT because they don’t understand it, or they only read about the crazy parts or the negative parts and think that God is so mean or terrible to His people, it doesn’t make any sense, etc. and only focus on reading the NT because it’s more loving and encouraging, but that’s not the point!😬 God’s deep love, mercy, and unending faithfulness are woven throughout the entire OT from beginning to end, culminating with the gift of Jesus as a Savior for His people in the NT! There can’t be a more loving and gracious and merciful gift than that! All of this to say, God’s clearly got some good things coming ahead, and I’m excited for it! ❤️🙌🏻🌱 https://www.instagram.com/p/B1plNr5nM_-/?igshid=1jgv56notjfrd

WHAT IS THE REAL DISGRACE?
WHAT IS THE REAL DISGRACE?
“So has the Lord done for me at a time when He has seen fit to take away my disgrace before others.” –Luke 1:25, RNAB In the Jewish culture at the time of the New Testament, to be childless was considered a “disgrace” (Lk 1:25, RNAB). What a difference from this present age! In the modern secular culture, it is often considered a blessing to be childless. A culture which condones killing closes…

ROOM TO GROW
“God is with us…” –Matthew 1:23 In today’s Gospel passage, we read about the Incarnation, God becoming man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Word became flesh (Jn 1:14), was born, and bore abundant fruit. “Blest is the Fruit of [Mary’s] womb,” Jesus (Lk 1:42). Each reception of Holy Communion bears a similarity to the Incarnation in that God enters a human body. This indwelling of the…
