Request: Civilian!R gets a surprise birthday party from everyone.

(Reader is a civilian but is friends with the team and has a support role like Barbara or Mike)

It's a given with this crew that you'll have some kind of celebration for your birthday, but you don't expect a full party even though nearly everyone else on the team has gotten one so far. A group dinner or something equally small sure, just not a party.

Depending on your home or family situation, you may expect your birthday not to be acknowledged at all. This makes your friends even more willing to do this for you (Yolanda and Rick in particular because they get it) and they know you would do (or have done) the same for their birthdays.

Beth and Courtney both focus more on the planning while Yolanda and Rick follow their lead. They find cute decorations in your favorite colors so they can deck Courtney's house out with them. Beth bakes a special cake for you as well, your favorite flavor and everything.

If there's school that day, Yolanda has the idea to bring you something small like a cupcake so you'll be extra surprised by the real party. It works, and you happily blow out the candle on your cupcake while you sit with your friends at the lunch table.

Rick is assigned to distract you and get you to Courtney's house without tipping you off about the party. He's not a huge talker so he has way less risk of saying anything that will make you suspect a party. He just takes you to the movies or something then makes up some kind of JSA meeting at Courtney's house once Beth gives him the go ahead. Meanwhile everyone else is getting the party set up for your arrival.

When Barbara lets you and Rick into the house, everyone is there, not just Courtney's family and the core team. You see Jakeem, Jennie, The Crocks, and even Cindy (because even though she won't admit it, she actually thinks you're alright). You have a totally shocked look on your face as you're met with "SURPRISE!"

There are fun little party games courtesy of Beth and good food. You're thoroughly enjoying yourself spending time with your friends like this, because maybe it's been a while, or it's the first time you've had something like this.

You're already happy and a little overwhelmed, so when it's time to blow out the candles on your cake, you can't stop smiling. And even though you were very much content with only a party, Beth, Courtney, Yolanda, and Rick went in on a gift for you, which they give you after the cake and it makes you a little emotional.

Basically JSA birthday parties and holidays are the best because you've become one large, somewhat strange found family.

Hournite Headcanons

Hand holding is a huge part of their relationship culture. Beth values that feeling of closeness that reassures her that she's not lonely anymore and Rick values the option of having a hand he can reach out to when he's upset, instead of feeling like he needs to destroy something.

Food is often a bonding experience. They cook together, or for each other. They cultivate an experience

I’ve been thinking about this nursery since June 2021, and I haven’t gathered photos for aesthetics, because even though I see a lot of stuff that I think to myself, “This would be perfect,” I try to only use photos from sites that allow you to use photos free, legally. It’s a pain, because it does cut down on options, but I hate the thought of taking folks photos against their wishes, even if its just for stupid aesthetics that 4 people might like. Lol

Nursery Notes:

Woodworking Rick gets into his carpentry thing for nursery stuff. Whenever he and Beth are looking for cribs, Beth is super focused on getting a quality product (and she’s not worried about price, because even if she can’t afford something, her parents would assist), but Rick is more reserved about that type of thing. The stuff that falls into his preferred budget is not good enough and the stuff that is good enough he thinks is too expensive and insists that he could make something as good himself for way less, then that becomes his thing. (Later, he’s gonna let his kiddos help him build them a treehouse, too).

Flirting in Fashion

With the Chapels added to the fold, Beth offered to host some JSA meetings at her house. Barbara, thrilled with not having to deep-vacuum the living room of crumbs after brainstorming sessions or worry about broken vases from indoor incidents, championed the new JSA parental tag-team system. The Montez family were still adjusting to, well, everything, but Yolanda felt confident she wasn't getting shipped off to an out-of-state boarding school like her worst fears, so all-in-all, everything felt like a win.

Rick couldn't deny being accepted with open arms to Beth's family didn't give him whiplash, but the longer he pushed against the invitation to come after school and weekends or staying for dinner, the more he felt like they honestly missed him when he declined. He found Bridget warm and thoughtful and James, practical and supportive. Sooner than later, Rick was looking forward to spending time at the Chapel house. Not just because of Beth, but for her whole family.

Yolanda is at the door when Rick knocks at the front, letting him in before he can ask who else made it. Pat and James are talking about whether or not potato salad is a crime of a dish in the kitchen, and Courtney is draped across the vintage ottoman, texting like a madwoman.

But it's Beth that Rick's eyes instantly draw to, hovering around an odd-standing figure covered with a blanket in the living room.

"What's happening?" he asks Yolanda as he drops his bag by the door, expecting a run-down. There's no emergency or detailed agenda. There's Sylvester's brain that they need to plan for a rescue, but where a hypothetical floating brain could be hiding is still yet to be figured out. Jakeem has noped out of any tunnel exploring until his gorilla night-terrors end and Artemis is also refusing to go down there for understandable reasons and it's still unclear if she's actually on the team.

Bridget has chimed in that having a medical plan for what to do with the brain depends on the condition they find it in, which requires some more thinking in itself. These are mitigation strategies Rick's never thought of, but he supposes this is partly why they're having these types of meetings here at Beth's house. Though what any of these may have to do with a random statue jiving with the retro Chapel décor, he has no idea.

She shrugs at him. "I'm not sure. Beth says we were waiting for you before making some announcement."

"Announcement?"

Yolanda shrugs again, hands up in the air. "I'm just telling you what I know." She glances at Courtney and shakes her head, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Do you mind telling her that leaving Cameron 60 texts without a single one back isn't a good look?"

Rick snorts. "Yeah, I'm not doing that. You know who could, though?"

Yolanda glares at him like she knows exactly who popped into his mind. Rick smirks and she rolls her eyes. "Fine," she grumbles under her breath, making her way to the ottoman. "I'll do it myself."

Beth is so engrossed with the statue thing that she doesn't even notice him behind her. Rick taps the shoulder of her cow-print bomber jacket. "Should I be worried? It looks like Frankenstein is under there."

She shoots him a look over her shoulder, stuffing school bus yellow measuring tape into her pocket. "You mean Frankenstein's monster. Frankenstein is the human that creates him, but no, this isn't of any mad-science concern."

"Then what is it? I've never seen it around."

Beth turns around and crosses her arms. "It's not ready yet."

"Is this part of the so-called announcement you have?"

Beth smiles. "Maybe."

"Alright!" Pat nods at the group assembled around. "The boys have a field trip to the honeycomb museum and Dr. Chapel is stuck in a surgery, apparently, but she gave us the go ahead to get right into business--Courtney put your phone down."

Yolanda sticks her palm out and Courtney begrudgingly drops her iPhone into her hand. Everyone else finds some seats on the couch or the carpeted floor.

Pat gestures to James Chapel, who takes the lead to start the meeting.

"Hello folks, glad to see you all here." He stands beside Beth, who is still fussing with the blanket covering the statue thing. "As some of you may or may not know, Beth's mother and I have been working very hard to provide Beth with an upgraded suit. We've decided to use this opportunity for some feedback before we go ahead with ordering it from one of my clients that specializes in this wear."

"It's just a prototype," Beth adds in, clearly nervous. "So anything can be changed. I get final say, of course, but don't be afraid to be critical."

Courtney sits up a bit straighter. "What's going to happen to your old suit? I liked it!"

Yolanda wrinkles her nose. "Court, the gloves are like five times bigger than her hands."

Rick backs her up. "I liked it too, but I think we can all agree that it doesn't really match Beth's style?"

"Oh, I like Chuck's a lot, don't get me wrong! But since combat mode was only a prototype, it isn't designed to be fully functional for all fighting styles, and that could be a bit of a problem." Beth looks at Courtney. "It's also not the cutest. You turned Sylvester's suit into a crop top. Why can't I?"

Rick leans forward, his eyes wide. "You want your suit to be a crop top?"

Yolanda covered her mouth with her hand to hide another undignified snort.

Beth raises an eyebrow at Rick with an amused smile. "No... I meant, why can't I make my suit my own?"

"Our own," James cuts in, a tad too proud. Bath pats his back. "Okay, dad. Our own."

"Well!" He urged her to pull the cover off what Rick now understands is a mannequin. "Go on!"

Beth bites her lip and bounces on her feet, then pulls the cover off with a flourish. "What do you think?"

Courtney and Yolanda both hop to their feet, hyping it up immediately.

"Woah!" Courtney says. "It looks badass!"

"Beth you're going to rock this, oh my gosh." Yolanda reaches out to touch one of the sleeves.

Cindy, slipping into the room fashionably late, stands at the door with a Starbucks in hand. "Huh," she says, tilting her head at the costume. "Not bad, Chapel."

Rick stays seated as the girls gush and Pat starts analyzing it aloud from his experience. He's not sure what he was expecting but this is far from the suit upgrade he had in mind. For one thing, it is isn't earth-toned and bulky anymore. The burgundy is gone from the jacket, replaced with a sleek yellow breast plate that goes up to the neck. The gloves are no longer suede tan, either, but the same new honey-mustard colour with zippers. The breast plate sits over a tunic, complementing the primary colour with black sleeves and legging type pants that are tucked into boots that end at the mid-calf. A thin stripped black belt criss-crosses over the hips with an emerald Dr. Mid-Nite crescent moon emblem in the middle, matching another jewel-toned brooch right where the suit ends at her neck. The green cape is brighter, silkier, repurposed to flair out around the waist like an outer skirt, hiding more pockets for the fanny pack Beth used to wear. But the most notable difference is the cowl. Or the lack of one. At the top of the mannequin stand sits the goggles around the eyes and an emerald head band with the option of a hood draped against the back.

Beth says, "I'm not sure about the belt. It might be a bit unnecessary, tough to get on and off, and I do really miss the burgundy, but maybe I'll just add that to the boots." She turns to Rick, who still hasn't said a word. All he can think about is how similar the suit looks like his cape, and then he can't help wondering what his cape would look like, trimmed short to match her costume.

He clears his throat when Yolanda nudges his shoulder, stammering out, "You designed this?"

"Why, is it tacky?" Beth and Courtney both look back at him, Beth biting her nail with concern.

"No! No, it looks great."

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's really...It suits you. Try it on."

Beth glances between Rick and her friends, a little put on the spot. "Right now?"

"I mean," Rick adds quickly, feeling embarrassed at the sudden attention everyone in the room is giving him, "You won't know how easy it is to get into until you do, right?"

Pat shoots him a thumbs up. "Great thinking, Rick. We won't know for sure of any potential design flaws until we see it in action."

Beth smiles, glancing at her dad to see if that's okay. James says sure, and then they are hauling the mannequin upstairs to Beth's room for her to get changed.

"Okay," Courtney announces to the room, like she's just witnessed the greatest project runway entry ever. "I totally see where Beth was coming from. Her other costume was old. This one is hot!"

"It's not as hot as mine," Cindy quips, taking another sip of her drink.

Yolanda sizes her up, a hand on her hip. "At least Beth's dad actually cares about her to make the suit and not use it as a murder graduation present."

"Hey, now." Pat steps between the two, ending any possibility of a cat fight.

"Beth always looked good," Rick argues. "Don't make it sound like she looked bad before."

"We're not saying that." Yolanda rolls her eyes. "We're just voicing that this one is clearly better."

Cindy is still staring Yolanda down when she says, "This was a bad idea. If you're all fine sitting here watching Hourman drool over Dr. Mid-Nite's couple costume design workshop, that's your prerogative. I have better things to do." She sets her travel cup down on the coffee table to leave. "Miss me or don't, I guess."

Rick's palms begin to prick with sweat. He wipes them against his pants hastily, adamant to clear the air. "What is she even talking about? All I said is that it suited her?"

Courtney laughs.

He frowns. It feels like she's laughing at him for some inside joke he doesn't get. "Court--"

"Okay!" Beth's voice floats from upstairs, quieting them all. "Now remember that the material is flimsy because it's not the real stuff yet!"

"Enough with the excuses, it's going to look good. Get your ass down here!" Yolanda calls up the stairs. James belly-laughs, and Rick cracks an excited smile, leaning forward in anticipation of the reveal.

She emerges at the front of the living room, a gloved hand against the doorway. "Did someone call the doctor?" She steps in, flashing a pose.

Courtney's jaw drops. "Shut up, it's perfect."

Beth twirls around and flexes her arms out, testing the elasticity of the sleeves.

"I have no notes," Yolanda agrees.

The hood is down and she's not wearing her goggles, just sporting the hairband. Her hair stands out, bold and beautiful, and it is as Rick makes the observation that he pin points what makes the suit so great. She's not camouflaged into the background. There's no way she'll be lost behind the white, blues and purples of the Wildcat, Stargirl and Hourman suits. Her shoulders roll back with a confidence as she moves around, and the verve of her hair brings life to Dr. Mid-Nite that the other costume confines, all emphasizing that she's never been a static role. The entire look oozes Beth's personality, and Rick can't stop smiling.

Yolanda snaps a few pictures on her phone so that Bridget and Barbara won't miss out.

"Is it comfortable? Can you sit in it?" Rick asks her, remembering what's important. "I really like it," he adds.

She nods, grinning. "The belt is fine. It needs to be adjusted a bit, but if we're in a pinch, I can ditch it."

"Or I can help!" he offers.

"Thanks." Beth appears genuinely touched. "That's sweet, Rick."

Yolanda and Courtney share another look.

Pat starts bringing up questions about the suit's supposed thermo controls and what other smart tech Beth's dad has planned as added features in the suit. Beth removes the breast plate, demonstrating how it works to protect her vital organs. "Mom thought it would be helpful in light of the Artemis arrow thing, or if I'm bending down helping someone medically so I'm protected from the back."

Rick takes it from her, inspecting it eagerly. "How does it come on and off so quick?"

"It's magnet tech," Beth supplies. Rick hands it back and Beth passes it along to an interested Courtney.

"This is some futuristic gladiator shit," she says, giving it a curious shake.

"Court."

"Gladiator stuff."

"I think it's best to get it off before I accidentally rip something." Beth turns around in front of Rick. "Do you mind unzipping the back?"

Rick tugs on the zipper, it's jerky and requires him to press his hand against the small of her back so to not get the mouth of the zipper stuck in the fabric. "Sorry," he mutters as an unknown feeling rises to his chest. Once the task is done, he steps away and Beth rushes back upstairs. Her dad's phone rings, and he excuses himself out the door to take the call on the porch.

Pat says, "I think this was a real productive session."

The teens nod and he checks the clock. "Court, I'm going to head back home to start cooking dinner. Are you going to come with me or hitch a ride with Rick?"

"I can't. I'm staying here for dinner," Rick pipes up. He's pretty certain that there might be a suit fitting encore when Bridget gets home and he doesn't want to miss that.

Yolanda eyeballs him. "Courtney can walk with me, Pat."

"Alrighty." Pat salutes. "See you at home, Court."

"Cindy is right, you know." Courtney sidles up to Rick, sitting next to him on the couch. "You like her. We're talking suuu-per mega crush."

"You jumped at the chance at helping her get ready," Yolanda teases. "Scoring all the brownie points you can get."

"That's called being nice!"

"There's being nice and then there's the heart eyes motherfucker gif face." Courtney pulls it up on her phone, shaking her screen at him.

He pushes her arm out of his face. "I don't look like that."

But then Yolanda and Courtney are giving him twin Thor Ragnarok meme squinty eyes and he's suddenly seriously concerned.

"I looked like that?!"

Rick groans, falling back against the couch and burying his face with one of the throw pillows. "Whatever."

"There there." Courtney pats his knee. "It's not your fault that deep down you're a lover not a fighter." She cracks up before the ridiculous sentence is even out of her mouth. Rick wants to drive the Mustang into a ditch.

"It could be worse." Yolanda flips a braid over her shoulder. "You could be crushing on Cindy."

"You mean like Jakeem?"

"He's not over that?" Yolanda purses her lips. "Poor kid."

"I don't know..." Courtney says. "You don't think maybe one day when he's older, like, much, much older... She might give him a chance?"

"Not a chance in hell."

"Absolutely not."

"What are we talking about?" Beth asks, stepping into the room in her previous outfit.

Yolanda looks at Court who looks at Rick. He sits up, attempting to look somewhat normal. "Uh. Jakeem's crush on Cindy."

"Why? I thought that was old news."

They all look at Rick.

"Uh..." He stalls. "Just because."

"He finds it relatable," Courtney coughs under her breath, but thankfully Beth doesn't hear.

James walks in then, pocketing his phone and Rick pivots the conversation as smoothly as he can manage, "Mr. Chapel, don't you think Jakeem could use a costume too? All he has is a hoodie. That pen's going to get lost."

Her dad lights up. "Great idea, son. Bridget's getting pizza. Let's talk concepts at dinner, are you girls staying too?"

Yolanda hauls Courtney off the couch just before she says yes, saving Rick from her meddling and general messy.

"Sorry Mr. Chapel, we've got to head home right away."

"We do?" Courtney says as Yolanda drags her by the elbow. "But Pat said--"

"Bye, Rick! Awesome suit, Beth. Thanks Mr. C!"

Beth's dad waves at the girls with a chuckle. "You two get home safe now."

"We will!"

Beth turns to Rick after tossing Cindy's lipgloss stained cup into the trash. "Not so Frankenstein's monster after all, right?"

He blushes when his stomach flips at her pleased smile. "Not at all." And screw him, but Rick immediately thinks Beth would rock the costume for Frankenstein's bride.

Hournite

Whenever Beth is feeling nervous or insecure about something, Rick is her hype man. Like, he goes all-out, to such a degree that it makes Beth laugh (which was his secondary goal the whole time!)

Beth and Rick both joke that they have shared custody of Grundy 😂

Rick’s super nervous to meet Beth’s parents, but he doesn’t have much to worry about: Beth talks about him constantly, and they love him before even meeting him, and they’ll love him even more when they actually meet him 🥰

Piggybacking off of that: the Chapel parents meet Rick when Rick and Beth are still friends, but they Know these two kids love each other. So when Rick and Beth tell them, they’re like “well it’s about time!!” 😂

Starcat

Yolanda has been in love with Courtney pretty much since they met, but since Courtney’s with Cameron, Yolanda didn’t want to say anything

When they have movie nights, they stay up talking for ages, and it’s always at Courtney’s house, and Yolanda thinks about how Courtney makes her smile more than her own family has in the past few years

Other than Pat, there’s no one Courtney trusts more to have her back in a fight than Yolanda 🥰

Courtney didn’t realize she liked girls until she met Yolanda and Realized (demiromantic Courtney rights!!)

We're sinking into some really good QL territory here.

Addison's reaction when that girl kisses Ben, oof. Will be interesting to see how this eventually plays out but for some reason I don't think this show will be as horny as OG!QL was.

I like that they're slowly revealing Ben's past and apparently we're supposed to get more next episode?! So far we know he's a Korean immigrant and an only child, plus his life with Addison. I bet a leap into more familiar surroundings would unlock a ton more memories.

I'm digging how this show has all kinds of parallels to the OG!QL's boxing episode (Al and Addison's struggles behind the scenes, Darryl's gym/Angela's chapel/Dixie's donut shop, some asshole having beef with Sam/Ben) and pulls a little from other episodes as well, but is its own story as well.

Beth's conversation with Janis is heartbreaking. Poor Al, constantly searching for Sam to the end of his life. You know he had Janis help him out too with the search.

It also makes me think of Donna in my Arlington fic and how bang-on I was with having the wife of one of the QL characters withhold stuff from their child because they didn't want their child to meet the same fate as their father. "I can’t lose my son like how I lost my husband." Actually, it's kind of scary how prescient that particular fic is becoming...

It's also so sweet that the team showed up for Addison to be there where Ben couldn't be. I've headcanoned that Al, Beth and Donna had regular dinners while Sam was leaping to connect like that.

That said, I am Nervous about this whole turn with Janis. Drugging her own mom to get the gummi bear handlink back? Yikes. And who's T? Man, woman, what? Someone Janis has since broken up with/divorced?

Character Headcanons

I needed to do some important shit this week, therefore, instead I made a very long list of my favorite characters in every fandom I could recall. Thanks, brain.

Of course, it’s not just a list of my faves, as you  might thought, no. This is the list of my aspec/non-binary/bi and/or neurodivergent character headcanons.  And I thought - why not share it - so here we are.

Overall, it’s basically me pulling the “there was no mention of their sexuality, romantic attraction or gender so they’re this cause I said so” card. Plus characters that give off neurodivergent vibes. Just because I can do it and no one could stop me. 

The list is not complete, so if you have any suggestions, go ahead, I’ll gladly hear them out. Note that this is purely my opinion and if you disagree - that’s your right.

It doesn't take Beth, Yolanda, and Courtney very long to realize that they each have a crush on you. You've just got this combination of hot and sweet that easily catches their interest, and they're all such great friends that they don't let it come between them.

It's a good thing too, because you're totally oblivious. In the case of Yolanda and Courtney it's because you don't see them that way. Of course you're still perfectly friendly and nice with them, there's just no romantic interest.

With Beth, you're oblivious because you don't think she could ever be interested in a guy like you. The kindest, smartest, most amazing girl in school liking you back? No way.

Yolanda and Courtney eventually realize that you like Beth too so they push their own crushes aside and try to make it happen. Unfortunately Beth doesn't believe that you return her feelings either so it makes it difficult.

Then one day you're paired together on a project and you're both so nervous. She thinks you're so cute and wow you look even taller and more muscular when you stand right next to her. You're excited to work with her too but her smile makes you all tongue tied.

While working on this project, you end up hanging out and talking for hours. You listen intently while Beth speaks, and if you were in a cartoon you would seriously have heart eyes. When you don't understand a technical term she uses she happily explains, and you ask her follow up questions, showing her that you're fully engaged and interested in the conversation.

You end up thanking her for being so nice and not acting like you're stupid for not knowing certain things. It makes her sad that you've had this problem before. She's grateful that you listened to her without getting annoyed and that makes you sad too because you think she's wonderful.

Beth shyly admits that she's had a crush on you for a few years and you're totally shocked. She didn't expect you to be surprised by it because she thought you knew and were just being nice. But you tell her that's not the case and that you've had a major crush on her too.

I didn't do my Beth Headcanons for Stargirl Day this week, but I'm here now! With some "I love being Black" Beth headcanons.

Beth loves to read, established in canon, but a lot of HCs have her being a nerd for every mainstream nonblack, low representation YA book in creation instead of the actual Black YA books that she's very fortunate to have at her age. SO, I hc that Beth has read every piece of Black sci-fi, fantasy, magic, afro-futurism, African spirituality YA book that she can get her hands on!

And her favorite is Binti, because she loves that Binti uses her mind and expert skills in talking to diffuse wars and make people come together!

I am missing Binti and I am projecting, but I am also correct.

She thought about doing a vlog for Beth's Book Recs for Black Girls, but decided not to go public, since she was already feeling ignored in her everyday life and presumed that she would only be saddened if the engagement was low.

Beth has a subscription to Just Like Me books and receives them for all ages to be able to donate or gift books to places and people in need of Black representation in their kids' media.

One of her regular charity events is to send Black haircare products to shelters and group homes, because she found out that often women and children in such vulnerable situations have very generic supplies that don't help their hair at all.

There is no Juneteenth festivities in Blue Valley, so she celebrates at home with her family by looking up recipes for various cultures of the diaspora and gets them Tshirts each year.

Blue Valley don't seem like it even has enough Black kids for school to have a BSU, but she has a little online community of other Black kids in very nonblack towns that makes her feel more accepted than she tends to when she finds a lot of other online Black communities. (She enjoys those too, to a certain degree, but often has anxiety that she might not connect with them in the same ways, since their universal experiences don't seem as relatable to her as her online clique's)

She does the fool for Black history month. She gets to be a history nerd and find out new things, doing her scavenger hunt thang for books with not as famous and popular Black historical figures and narratives. She has afrocentric outfits and patterns that she adorns herself with, accessorizing fabulously, of course.

And she gon' be all up IN the activist scenes when she get to college. Even if she's not actively doing grassroots work, which she will when she can, she talks too much and speaks up too much to not have to wind up there. (A lotta times, you don't choose to be, but since equality is a radical idea, you wind up being revolutionary just for speaking up) She's gonna be that and a hero. Kinda like Black Batwoman, but without all the trauma.

I hope this is less headcanon and more something coming this season but like to think that Rick is super eager to get the Chapels approval and goes out of his way to impress them even though Beth tells him he doesn’t have to. I also see this scene in of Beth ignoring one of her parents calls this season and then suddenly Ricks phone starts ringing and they tried him instead (no idea how they got his num) and Rick just spills all the beans that she was avoiding telling them and just shrugs at her

Stop, that is actually the funniest thing I have heard all day.

I also want to see Rick wanting to be accepted by the Chapels lmao. The dynamic is just...chef's kiss. Rick going from "whatever everyone thinks I'm trash" to "I must have these two adults think I am a well-mannered and respectful influence, an absolute unassuming delight to have around their daughter."

I love your phone concept. I see the vision. I feel like for Beth that would actually be EMBARRASSING. Imagine your parents knowing you so well that the second you do not answer your phone they call your crush. And he picks up.

I've started a fic a while back with a similar tone where Beth gets sick at school and Rick is like "I'm calling your mom's office" and Beth is like ????? don't???? but he's too tall so she cannot physically stop him.

I could go on about a dynamic like this, I just absolutely NEED to have Rick interact with the Chapel family.

Requested: No, but this idea was inspired by a similar request by @miszswan. And either way I hope you enjoy @miszswan because you were the one who inspired me to write this long headcanon and do much more of this.

Reader Pronoun: All the readers will be female for this one.

A/N: I personally have never posted much on request based on Tumblr. But I hope everyone can enjoy this. I tried to portray the characters to the best I can. And also hope you can stick through my thoughts and rants on some of these. And I wanted to shine a light on some of the less hyped characters too. In honor for the Stargirl S2 trailer I added more characters and theories. AND YES I WILL MAKE A PART 2. Ok maybe or maybe not I will be creating another side account just for Artemis Crock Asks, and imagines. Sorry that some of these are long, or don't go 100% in to detail I just wanted to address every character, I can always do more if someone wants me to later. One last note to this long Author Note, I was determined to finish this so I was up until 12-1am my time writing this...so if some of it is shorter than others it was because of that. And I also just wanted to end it off sooner than later.

Yolanda Montez

You meet Yolanda it probably would be after she becomes Wildcat. But that doesn't mean she's not interested in you, it just was because of everything with Henry she just didn't want to approach you because she thought you would think of her differently.

Again when she becomes Wildcat she would have the courage and confidence to come up and talk to you. But we all know that you would not judge her.

If you were her friend before the incident and stuck with her, she would try to distance herself away from you. Because you know caution but deep down she would start to fall in love with you.

Her family all except her younger brother wouldn't support her. Because we all know them, it would just further ruin their reputation. Because your a girl.

Most likely if your parents were in the ISA it would most likely be the Crock's. Just imagine you being a sports player who has been friends with Henry and you met Yolanda and respected her. And became friends with her when she was dating Henry. And then not agreeing with what he did to her, and trying to help her but for her to push you away. And then later on her opening up to you about the incident and somehow you two start dating, and maybe in this scenario you join the JSA and you two start dating.

Your dates could be at her house in her rooms at times. But most likely at your house because your parents would probably be more accepting then hers. But most of your dates might be watching a movie on your laptop eating junk food. Or you two just sneaking out stargazing on a blanket in the forest of Blue Valley maybe near a river.

If your ever upset or going through something at home, Yolanda Montez would 100% drop everything. Even if she is at church she would come to your house or meet you most likely at Courtney's house or the pit shop to comfort you.

You most likely either hating Henry or just disliking him a bit for what he did to Yolanda. But when you learn of what he did saving her you would forgive him.

Even though she would help you through your tough times your her bridge, rock, anchor because your the only thing keeping her from going into the sinking river of depression. Including after her killing Brainwave.

Being taller than Yolanda and her hugging you from behind, and standing on her toes to kiss your lips. Plus her wearing your shirts as dresses.

You trying on the Wildcat suit, and modeling it for her as she kisses you. But mind your in private and not with anyone but each other. I can just see the moment being ruined by Courtney going up to your window or Yolanda's telling you either one or both of you have a mission.

Which adds to the point of if you were apart of the JSA, and you tried on her suit, she would try on your suit.

She would be protective and ready to attack anyone who hurt you, she would be much like Courtney standing up for you even if you didn't ask her to. Because she understands after going through the same thing with Cindy.

She wouldn't be the type after what happened with Henry to have much PDA, she might hold your hand and put you behind her when she's all protective but she won't kiss you often when you're out in public including at school.

Would recommend this relationship 120/100. Because we all know Yolanda would take care of you. She could also relate to you more, and be able to understand most of the things you are going through because she has experienced the same thing before.

Courtney Whitmore

She meets you when she arrives at Blue Valley. Either if it's from you sitting at the single's table, or you bumping into her being in a higher social class or being a sport's jock all the way to being Cameron Mahkent's friend.

Let's just continue this by saying like many others she would protect you, along with be supporting, listening, and very open to you.

Her telling you she's Stargirl early on into the relationship. (Once again even if your not in the JSA or if you are in the JSA).

She would be worried with the ISA rising in Blue Valley when it comes to your safety like how she was with her mother's safety when Brainwave was threating you. Because out of everyone she cares about, she cares about you the most.

Having a supportive family if your apart of the JSA that supports you and Courtney. Including her parents and Mike.

You would be accepted into the family. As they would invite you to every holiday party, family dinner with the JSA, etc. You just name it and you're invited.

Either way being good friends with Rick, Yolanda, and Beth even if you're apart of the JSA or not.

The cosmic staff would probably be the #1 shipper of you and Courtney because of there bond. If she likes you then I feel the cosmic staff would like you.

Imagine Courtney having to save you from a member of the ISA and like the cosmic staff did for Barbara in episode 12 of S1, just imagine it going underneath you and setting you back up.

Going on rides with Courtney on the cosmic staff.

Definitely the big spoon as she likes to hold you and comfort you, including when your having a hard day. But also it helps her make sure she can protect you if anything was to happen. But sometimes she would be the little spoon because she needs comforting too.

She would defend you, stick up for you if someone was attempting to say anything bad about you, or harassing you physically or just verbally. The same way with how she did for Yolanda when Cindy was pushing her around, she wouldn't let anyone harass you.

I can see Courtney being more open to PDA, maybe not to Cindy Burman extent, but she still wouldn't be afraid to kiss you in public. Or cuddle you in public but she still would do it more in private.

If your upset, Courtney would try her best to make you smile again or just wrap her arms around you in a comforting hug whispering sweet words into your ear.

When you're on your period she would already like Beth Chapel prepare everything. Or if she hasn't prepared everything, or you have nothing...she would just give you whatever you needed from her collection of Period goods.

Making out in her bedroom, either on her bed, or sitting in her bay-window.

Helping her get through summer school.

You being her balance between school and being Stargirl, being the middle ground that she needed. You are the thing that keeps her sane.

Either being the same height as Courtney or being a inch or two shorter than her. Which is perfect when you two are kissing so neither of you have to bend down or go on your tippy toes to kiss.

One last thing to end this off, you will have to sometimes talk sense into your girlfriend. She sometimes wants to do really stupid things for the right reasons. But don't let her flunk in her normal life the Courtney Whitmore life. She needs to be Courtney equally as needing to be Stargirl.

I would personally recommend this relationship 120/100.

Beth Chapel

First of all, I'm pretty sure all of us know Beth Chapel she is such a Honeybee and Small Bean. She would be such a sweetheart to date.

Either meeting her before or after her becoming Dr.Midnite would change some of how she approaches you and how you start dating.

If you met Beth Chapel before, you probably grew up as friends or you just moved there months prior to Courtney Whitmore and she was just the first friendly face you met a Blue Valley.

Most likely her showing you off to her parent's/first meeting during lunch.

Your first date being at a park, or anywhere you would want to go. I can just see the park because you two could have a picnic and she would make the food.

For Pride Month, you two would attend every event Blue Valley or the state of Nebraska.

Even if your parents aren't supportive of you, her parents would be.

If you were apart of the JSA you two being the JSA power couple. Always working together and being partnered up on tasks.

Helping her fix Chuck.

Probably being good friends with Chuck. Maybe getting into a bit of disagreement with Chuck (I know personally as a person I would), but at the end of the day respecting each other.

She would have your back, and you would have her back too.

Heck even if you were apart of the ISA, her bringing the good out of you. Like she might make you change your side and beliefs. Or you know maybe retire. But still she would love you no matter what even if you are just dating.

She would be understanding of your problems, like if you had a problem at home with your parents. She would support you and listen to you rant if you need to. Or if you just failed your math test which was 30% of your grade, she would prepare movies, and karaoke tracks to distract you. SHE HAS GOT YOU COVERED.

During your Period (I just hate periods so much), she would have you covered. Prepares chocolate, your favorite comfort foods, rom-coms or any movie/tv show you like to binge, tons of snacks, heating pads, and just everything you can think of for your Period. Heck she would even make you FOOD. LIKE SHE WOULD MAKE YOU FOOD.

Even when your not on your period she would make you lunch for school, like you might not even need to worry she would provide you lunch; even if your on a diet, are a picky eater, vegan, etc. She would find a way to make you food, and do it.

Sleepovers at each others houses every weekend. Well most of every weekend, because she is a JSA member, and maybe you are two so you two try and do it whenever you can during your time off from school and fighting the ISA.

I don't personally know if Beth would do tons of PDA, but imagine Hand Holding, maybe a kiss on the cheek, and hugging would be something she would do in Public.

Both of you being there for each other when you are alone. Like if her parents aren't home she might be at your house, or you would be at hers just doing something with each other or just being around each other. Maybe you reading a book while Beth is doing her homework.

Like the other JSA girls, she would let you steal her clothes maybe even send you home with her clothes even without you knowing. The first time you ever wore one of her tops she would just blush madly but deep down be so happy and giggly.

Her reading to you if you needed it at night.

Her helping you with your hair, she would even ask Chuck about new hairstyles if you wanted to do something new. Once again she would be supportive of you.

A/N: I'm going to try my best with Jenny with all that I have seen and read on other people's pages with her. So please don't judge 100% this is my first time writing anything for her. I'm using all my knowledge on her to try and write this to the best of my ability.

For the sake of this one were just going to say your just a student at Blue Valley (not JSA or ISA):

You two meeting early in your life or when you moved to Blue Valley.

First date would be at the diner most likely. Is it bad I can see the cliché Barbara and Pat scene where you two would share a Banana Split because they "only had one left" at 3 in the afternoon.

You being happy if you were dating her before she started not caring what Cindy said. If you started dating her afterwards you would still be proud.

After her not giving a crap about what Cindy was doing for Homecoming, relief washes down her shoulders and you two have fun during homecoming night.

Just imagine if you two were somehow under the spotlight during one of the slow dances. Like the person who controls the spotlight puts it on you two.

Jenny would be loyal and respective of you. She would respect your privacy if you were closed off, along with her being loyal to you and only you.

She would also help you if you needed help on anything. I feel like she would be like Beth in a way. Drop everything to make sure your alright.

Couple costumes, doesn't matter if they're cringe worthy, you two just rocking it. Imagine Twin Day at school you two would nail it.

Her parents being supportive of her relationship with you even if your a girl.

Studying at the library when you two are prepping for a test weather it's for the SAT's or just for a Geometry test you two would be studying. Even holding hands, comparing notes and just giving short gazes into each other's eyes when the other one is not looking.

She wouldn't show too much PDA if you weren't comfortable with it. And even she wouldn't really want to do much PDA, maybe like Beth: Hand-Holding, Hugging, maybe a kiss on the cheek every once and awhile. But she saves kissing, and cuddling for when you two are alone.

You two being the non-superhero/super-villain/non-powered duo at Blue Valley High school. Maybe even being called the power couple in the year book.

I imagine you and her being opposites, but opposites do attract. Maybe your goth and more geeky but not popular, and she is more preppy and popular. But you two make it work.

Supporting each other no matter what.

You two most likely knowing each other for awhile. Like going to school with each other since you were very little.

Whether your a JSA or ISA daughter or member in the future or just a normal person who like I have said a coach potato who is a writer would change how you catch her eye when you start dating.

If you are just a normal person it could be if your incredibly intelligent or talented at something. Like just imagine beating her at mixing chemicals or with your grade in Chemistry. Or being able to just beat her at something...ok in common words just being better than her at something she tends to think she is better than most at.

JSA/Normal Person: When you are dating at first she wouldn't open up all the way with you. But over time when she starts trusting you more and you two start going on more dates she would tell you more about her childhood.

ISA: If you are a child of an ISA member or you just join she would trust you quicker and most likely be partnered with you. She would be able to relate if you had an ISA parent like if your father was Jordan or Henry. Let's just say Jordan in this case: You knew his secret and were apart of the ISA, you would be treated more kindly by your family, but you still have this big expectation to fill. That you must somehow work for. To show that it's not because you Icicle's daughter that you got in the ISA. BIG LEGACY = HUGE debts to prove your loyalty. And she would understand, because everyone wants her to do so much just to be apart of a legacy she was born into...that her father wants her to be apart of.

PDA doesn't occur to Cindy like she doesn't mind making out with you in the hallways. Because to Cindy she just likes showing you off, showing everyone that you are hers and she is yours.

Her picking you out clothes to wear, or heck even going shopping with you. Maybe even just coming over to your house with bags of clothes just for you.

Her not even caring about Henry after not needing him anymore, we can say even after he is dead she doesn't care. She has you 100%. Which means 150% more protectiveness. Including from the JSA.

She would allow you to play with her hair after dating for a period of time as you would most likely braid it or just play with it when she is busy focusing on something else. And she would appreciate it even if she doesn't fully verbalize it.

Sitting in her bedroom the night of homecoming maybe her reading something on her phone or in a magazine while your on your phone or just sleeping in her lap.

Her showing you off at any party she throws before S2.

Maybe during Halloween when she threw her big Halloween Party she picks you out a very sexy tight fitting Halloween costume for the party. Along with her showing you off.

Season 2 Trailer:

She would watch over you when she is claimed "dead" by the JSA if your a member. Just waiting for the moment to come back and retrieve you from your team.

If you were apart of the ISA maybe you have "quit" and claim that she is so called "dead". But secretly working with her.

Only having each other which is enough for both of you in the end.

Artemis Crock

Let me just start off with saying, you will have a new family once you start Dating Artemis.

Because we all know her parents are very protective and encouraging of there daughters behavior. And besides since you know Artemis they already know about you. Now your just apart of there family.

With Artemis it doesn't matter if your physically fit, or just a coach potato who writes all day. She will never care even if she does multiple workouts a day and is on a diet she would be supportive of you. But if you were Physically fit it would just be another thing about you. Including when it comes to you meeting her parents.

Most likely you would meet Artemis or really catch her eye at first if you gained interest in sports. Or have played sports if your new to Blue Valley. But if you're a sports player and have played for Blue Valley than you have crossed paths.

But let's be serious not everyone is sports jocks in high school for us other people, most likely you caught her eye in one of you're shared classes, even if you were doodling all the way to knowing every answer on the board when the teacher asks for the answer. If she's interested in you she's INTERESTED IN YOU.

Always wearing her JERSEYS.

Or Hoodies. Plus her giving you her clothes and you giving her some of yours if the two of you fit into each other's.

Going to her practices after school if your not apart of any clubs during the time or just not in general.

Maybe after some practices you two are making out underneath the bleachers. This could happen after she becomes Tigress because she wouldn't care as much because who is going to stop her? Nobody!

Study Dates = Make out sessions even if it's at the library, at her house, or yours you two would somehow end up making out rather than getting tons of studying done.

She would be showing you off whenever she could. At Lunch, After a game she won (INCLUDING WHEN SHE WINS), just anything she is proud of.

Ok, just saying once again if anyone hurts you...including your family they can just "disappear" and you would have the Crocks. Your girlfriend and her parents. Which to them is all you ever truly need.

Going to all her games dressed up in team spirit. Just think of people who attend Soccer games or Hockey with the face paint on the cheeks and maybe even wearing one of her coats.

After winning any game she runs up to you and just kisses you not even caring that everyone is watching. Most likely when in public it just is a quick kiss but still filled with her adrenaline mixed with adoration and happiness.

Hanging out in her room on the weekends when you two don't have plans to go anywhere just sitting on her bed. Artemis would insist to have you sit in her lap.

I kind of get vibes with the whole sitting on her lap that she would braid your hair (even if it was long or short) or even just overall play with it.

Even when she's not playing with her hair I see you sitting on her lap just naturally or she would pull you into cuddle on her lap and she would wrap her arms around your waist.

Once she becomes Tigress after learning who her parents are she will be a lot more open to her possessiveness and protectiveness to the world. Like 110% more. She will also be able to hurt anyone who harms you or even tries to take you away from her, and be more reckless in her actions in doing so. Just imagine the person that flirted with you in chemistry class...well you would never see them again, because they are like most of Blue Valley's coaches that "left"...they are dead and buried by those dead coaches.

You two would probably go to some sort of store like a Walmart or a Target late at night and just spoil yourselves with Junk Food. Not even caring about the consequences.

Just imagine if your a daughter of an ISA member and follow there legacy. You two would be partners, no no...power couple. JUST LIKE HER PARENTS.

If your not apart of the ISA and are in fact a JSA daughter of a deceased member or just joined when Courtney was recruiting, you two flirting around when fighting. Kind of think of the scene in Civil War when Natasha and Clint were fighting would be how you two would fight each other. Because you know you wouldn't hurt her and she would not hurt you intentionally. Unless she didn't know it was you, but most likely Artemis would know because of your fighting style.

On the note of if you were the daughter of a JSA member I can see you being Black Canary's daughter.

Ok maybe she would give you a few bruises but nothing serious. Again she is very protective of you.

Addressing Periods, she would coach you through your period. More cuddles, sweets, Walmart raids, anything you ask for she would achieve. But I could just see you two cuddling on her bed and falling asleep and when her parents wonder why she's late to her work out you two are just napping on her bed.
