bad advice on dyeing my (very dark) hair ?

no for hair shit i will give good advice actually

OKAY SO if you have dark hair BASICALLY what you need to do is bleach it BUT NOT ALL AT ONCE PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO BLEACH YOUR HAIR TO A LIGHT ENOUGH COLOR TO DYE IT IN ONE SESSION

okay so continuing

bleach it with 20-30 volume developer (i recommend 20 usually just bc it also goes with a bunch of shit so it's multi purpose rlly) and do a 1-1 ratio of bleach to developer (use powdered hair bleach btw my sister used liquid one time it sucked never do that folks)

also if you have any type of curl pattern please add conditioner to your bleach mix it will help sooo much

ANYWAYS after that you put it in and apply evenly and as quickly as you can then let it bake for a bit (check in on your scalp and the lightness every 5-10 minutes) (my hair's also very dark when it's not. bleached and dyed 7 ways to sunday and i usually take 30 minutes on the first round and 10-15 minutes on the second round)

ONCE YOUR FIRST ROUND OF BLEACH IS DONE wash with shampoo and conditioner

then take a day off don't do shit with your hair

do bleach round two same steps as above

then depending on what color you're dyeing it tone it (for cooler colors like blue and purple and certain shades of green) and if you're dyeing it warmer colors you can just put in the hair color then !

follow box instructions and boom from dark hair to dyed hair

also afterwards use soooo much leave in conditioner/hair care products your hair will need it

Any yellow that isn't orangey. I also didn't really like most shades of green or orange for most of my life, but i'm working towards appreciating and using most colors.
