my final for visual development last fall. the goal was to take a familiar public domain story and give it a new distinct location and/or time period that would influence the visuals. i chose Cinderella taking place on Día de Los Muertos in Chiapas specifically. we had to design two props, two characters, and do one final illustration. this was so fun and one of the best finals in terms of taking everything we did in prior projects and applying it to the last one!!

This is an idea I've been working on for a while. Because I'm from a region in the US where every high school has a varsity mariachi and folklorico team. And I thought it would be cool to have a bard who used dance to channel magic instead of an instrument. Not to mention any kind of Latino representation is highly lacking in d&d
I might be doing a series of all four elemental genasi as ballet folklorico bards. Just depends on my schedule for the next week or two
Didn't want to be annoying on the tags of that last rb but oooomg that's handy
