I am still alive.
I haven't weighed for quite awhile.
Couple of eating hiccups... couple of missed workouts.
Got some overtime this week and next so that should finally give me a break on finances.
I struggle with balance. The all in mentality is tough to break. I am trying.
But I notice I am also having at least 2 sweet things a day and I don't think my coach likes that. 😅

How to Create a Balanced and Healthy Diet
Are you tired of constantly feeling bloated and sluggish?
Do you struggle with maintaining a healthy weight and sticking to a nutritious diet?
If so, it may be time to re-evaluate your eating habits and focus on creating a balanced and healthy diet.
Let's explore some tips and tricks for creating a diet that is both delicious and nutritious.
Eat a Variety of Foods
One of the keys to a balanced and healthy diet is to eat a variety of foods from all food groups. This includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
Eating various foods ensures that you get all the essential nutrients your body needs to function correctly.
Avoid Processed Foods
Processed foods are often high in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats and are low in nutrients. These foods can lead to weight gain, chronic diseases, and other health problems.
Instead, focus on whole foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
Plan Your Meals
Planning your meals ahead of time can help you make healthier choices and ensure that you have nutritious options available throughout the week.
Try meal prepping on the weekends or planning out your meals for the week ahead.
Cook at Home
Cooking at home allows you to control the ingredients in your meals and ensure that you are using healthy cooking methods.
It also allows you to experiment with new recipes and flavors.
Focus on Nutrient Density
Nutrient-dense foods are those that are high in nutrients but low in calories. These include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
Incorporating these foods into your diet can help you feel full and satisfied while still maintaining a healthy weight.
Practice Portion Control
Eating too much of any food can lead to weight gain and other health problems.
Practice portion control by using smaller plates, measuring your food, and listening to your body's hunger and fullness cues.
Stay Hydrated
Drinking enough water is essential for maintaining a healthy body weight, flushing out toxins, and keeping your body functioning properly.
Aim for at least eight glasses of water per day, and avoid sugary drinks and alcohol.
Practice Mindful Eating
Mindful eating involves paying attention to your body's hunger and fullness cues, and eating slowly and without distractions.
This can help you enjoy your food more and prevent overeating.
Incorporate Healthy Fats
Healthy fats, such as those found in avocados, nuts, seeds, and fatty fish, are essential for maintaining a healthy body weight and reducing inflammation in the body.
Incorporating these foods into your diet can help you feel full and satisfied while still maintaining a healthy weight.
Indulge in Moderation
Maintaining a balanced and healthy diet doesn't mean you can't indulge in your favorite foods.
However, it's important to do so in moderation and to balance these indulgences with nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day.
Creating a balanced and healthy diet requires a combination of planning, mindfulness, and moderation.
By incorporating a variety of whole foods, practicing portion control, and staying hydrated, you can achieve a healthier and happier you.
So, next time you reach for that bag of chips, remember that plenty of delicious and nutritious options are available to you.

The Pursuit of Happiness?
The Pursuit of Happiness?
Storytime The “happiness industry” is running at about a $48 BILLION dollar profit at the moment. No wonder Pennsylvania adopted it as their slogan on their welcome to the state signs. If only they gave some of that money to the infrastructure to repair the roads for real. Why Pennsylvania? That’s where the Happiness Industry we see today was born in the late 1990’s. I am a girl who loves her veggies. I easily get at least 10 portions of fruit and veg a day.
However, today... I just couldn't stomach a single vegetable. Instead, my entire diet consisted of toast, butter, bananas, yogurt, almond butter and chocolate.
Literally for every meal.
Admittedly last year, this would have freaked me out and I would have forced myself to eat a plate of broccoli. But today, I actually could embrace my food cravings and my digestion and mood feel great as a result. I feel really satisfied too.
It's just really nice to have that flexibility in my life, without orthorexic constraints.

There’s no such thing as work-life balance for neurodivergent & chronically ill people.
This is because everything in my life requires work:
maintaining friendships
keeping up with my hygiene
managing bills
making money
remembering my basic needs
sleeping regularly
outputting creatively
All requires some aspect of work for me.
And when everything in your life requires work, your balance goes out the window.
If you're neurodivergent and overwhelmed — I see you.
If you're chronically ill and overwhelmed — I see you.
You're not dysfunctional.
You're not incapable.
You're doing your best.

Weekend hughlights:
-Lunch at my favorite Thai cafe
-Natural Grocers stop
-Thrift clothing HAUL- fall seasonal updates
-Roller skating
-Watched the Expendables Series 1-3
-Finished a Conqueror Challenge
So, let's get into it.
I was still feeling kinda yucky so I was trying to get extra rest while using my time wisely.
Random pics below.
I met my partner for lunch at a Thai place and it was lovely. I ate until I was satisfied, took the rest home for dinner. We went to natural Grocers and I got some good supplements. Not that I am lacking supplements. I normally get myself a treat for going there. Now I have updated that to one of their delicious truffle balls. But only one.
[This is a binge eater thing, I used to get 2-3 healthy chocolate snacks/desserts and eat them all 🤔🙄 Sometimes before I even got home.]
I went thrifting and the thrift shop had a sale on- $1 per item for all clothes items. I scored so big! I got found so many different fall sweaters, vests & all sorts of good stuff. I spent less than what I would have spent on 1 fancy sweater!! I felt great about that.
I exercised sat evening and watched the expendables. Half hour elliptical, about 100 min recumbent bike. Gentle exercise - not too much lung expenditure.
Sunday I went roller skating! I had such a blast! I didn't fall and I was ok as long as I didn't think about it too much.
I took time last night for a bath and some reading time.
Today I am getting my hair done for my daughter's wedding in a couple weeks. I am very hopeful.
So- this weekend was restful but balanced. Little bit of exercise & entertainment, little bit of genuine rest. I am still working getting over my cold.
