Take a Taste: with Mr. Shaw Shawarma Rice [Recorded: Mar 24th, 2024]

Hello! It’s time for another “Take a Taste”! The series is about delicious food with my two paper dolls.

First of all, I have many snapshots related to this topic, so I MUST submit my food photos before proceeding to another. 📷📲 Like this one, right here! A delicious classic Shawarma Rice from "Mr. Shaw Shawarma" branch! 🌯🍖🍚😋 (A successful Shawarma food establishment → [CLICK ME!]) This one was gave it from my little bro, on Mar 24th, 2024; a day when the "Holy Week" ✝️🕯️ starts. I'm not supposed to eat meat-related (pork, beef, and chicken) dishes. But, here we are... 🤷‍♀️ All that aside, will this Shawarma Rice taste good to my mouth? Let's find out, right now!

• Now, truth to be told, I'm not sure what flavor of Shawarma gave me. Whether it is "Classic", "BBQ", or a random, it doesn't matter what it is. 🤔🤷‍♀️ But looks can be delicious, though! Eh, you two? 😋 Also, I can't show ya the cover of the box because this was came from a fridge, so I have to reheat it before I chow down. 😅

• [3rd Image] Uh yeah! I can't eat without something to drink! Here's my cola on my red Nescafe mug! Looks like, a cup of joe wasn't the only liquid beverage we can pour. 🥤🙂

• Here's my first scope of the "Shawarma Rice"! Looks good, and how's the taste? Well, tastes great, however after a long fridge inside ❄️ and reheated from the stove 🔥, it somehow lost the "Shawarma" flavor. 😕 In short, it tastes slightly frozen. But hey, I can't help it though. And so do my paper dolls because we're so hungry! 🤤

• So hungry in fact, we're completely done our meal! As we as our iced-cold cola from my mug! 🍽️🥤😋 Hope you enjoyed our Large "Shawarma Rice" meal, eh?! 😊

• So overall, we've definitely worth our appetite! 😋 However, with a slightly lost of "Shawarma" flavor from the reheating stove looks like I'll have to order it by myself and re-review it, someday. 🤔 In the mean time, we're satisfied our taste buds, for now. 😋👍

• But wait, what about the "asking price"? 😮 Again, I'm not sure what my little brother gave me. I'm not sure if its "Classic" or "BBQ" because they're both taste liked "Shawarma", in my opinion speaking. 🤔

anything i really want: a few days of having absolutely nothing to do. uni is kicking my ass as usual and i’m starting to get rly tired. also, vaguely related, i want to graduate in time lmao. bc i changed my degree program last year which means i’m super late in finishing uni and i just want to not get further delayed. and a bit more random but i want to get to know the people on tennisblr more bc you all seem so lovely and i’m still fairly new 🫶

currently reading: hoo boy there’s a lot (add me on storygraph if you guys have!!). so first up is “the odyssey” translated by dr emily wilson which i’ve been slowly reading for months now. then i also have “the german genius: europe’s third renaissance, the second scientific revolution, and the twentieth century” by peter watson bc i’m a nerd. and then “ferien in frankfurt” by andré klein for my language practice. and just last night i started “andy murray: seventy-seven: my road to wimbledon glory” by the murygoat himself!

tanay rizal trip thing from 3 weeks ago (rough details sorry) (bad storytelling)

monday and tuesday

resort is called Martessem

went to tanay (duh) on the days where my sister has to go to school since its schools days but she didnt due to no one taking care of her (awesome schedule)

throughout the whole 2 days, me and my cousin played chess on his tablet as we wait for the meals (best idea honestly), he checkmated 3 times, a stalemate, and i only won once on chess960 without knowing, we all individually chose our own dishes, me and my sister chose the meals as a duo

our room is G1, cousins' at G2

on the 1st day we ate the meals on the restaurant in the resort, both dinner and lunch

the time we ate our lunch is at 3PM due to travel time since us at antipolo are gonna ride at the van my tita was at, she's at taguig. i forgot what we ate.

looked at the view and i saw the clearest rainbow ive ever seen, and technically my first rainbow i saw since on other times i wasnt paying attention or see it clearly

this might've the mighest place i've been in since flying an airplay several years ago back when i was a toddler, the clouds are nearer to my reach

i put out the laptop and its overheating as fuck on sleep mode, draining the battery that i charged to max for nothing, had to force turn off since its lagging as fuck.

in the back balcony with myself, my sister, and my male cousin, said cousin is talking about his preference for shitting out water since its more comfortable in great length and detail, we lost our shit laughing at such absurd, disgusting and vile conversation topic. we've struggled to argue against it due to how hard we're laughing, can't barely hold it in. me and my sister jokingly called this the poopshitters podcast.

i tried booting in my laptop and connect to the wifi, you must put in the token password (lasts for 1 day) via the pop out website for this hotspot (if thats the right term), they gave a lot of these password tokens when we first arrive to the room. hopped on discord and told (i think) the spica discord that im here in tanay (doxxed)

laptop is lowbat so i get my charger and try to connect to the wall outlets, the thing is that there is no 3 holed wall outlet, no 3 prongs, we didn't brought an adapter because who the fuck does that while traveling, so i had to accept that i cant use this laptop again throughout the day.

at night my tita's employees/friends came in to my surprise and they bought in cup noodles, ate the mildly spicy one as my sort of mini dinner

i struggled to sleep my ass and move a lot, producing squeaky bed sounds as i roll, to much to the elder's dismay

2nd day we woke up

ate breakfast at the resort's restaurant, i think i chose bacsilog/baksilog?

i found out that all of this was for my tita's daughter's brithday

resort people did the happy birthday thing, they drizzled chocolate and spell out "happy birthday!" on one of their plates

back to room interacting and such, apparently according to my mother, during night someone knocked on the balcony door and she checked and no one is there.

traveled to a restaurant that has a minigolf thing, a massive swimming pool, two of them this did not became our lunch destination since they said "the kids cant rallt do things here" (??? we never really did anything at the future two restaurants) so we went back to the van and traveled again

i ate shrimp sinigang and garlic rice for lunch in the a new restaurant by the mountainside (the one with a video that i posted)

back to our units at G1 & G2, oh yeah and G3 since the one that arrived at day 1 nighttime, recorded the "M" pool video

tempura for dinner, my first time eating it, dipped in sauces and such.

our family got home a day earlier while the rest will continue until wednesday, my sister got sick and nose snotty hence we go home.

while on our way home us and the van driver are mesmerized by the 5 motorcycle and approximately 7 people gang/riders where they guy at the front does the turn signals and the rest of the group who're in a line formation follow. i joked about our van driver being hypnotized by it and forgetting about the part where we go home and instead chasing them. lmao

in the entire 2 days at the traveling by van part, we shuffled seat to seat, from the furhtst of backs, the middle row, and in my case, got the front seat (i called shotgun, dibs on that [what am i even saying??]). saw the beautiful views that didn't bore us, didnt took photos though so there's that.

yeah i think thats all of it about the tanay trip

its 2:27 AM now, january 31 as i finishing writing this feeling thirsty.

1 Month & 1 Week : Healing Journey

It's been that long? I never imagined or expected that I would get through it to be honest. I still remember what happened the very first week after it. I'm still not okay okay but I'm doing good than before!

Honestly, there's nothing to say. I just played and played everyday with my friends. I NEED TO LEARN NOT TO BE DEPENDENT ON THEM. They might not know it or do, but they helped me a lot than they think. Without them, I wouldn't be here actually.

It sounds dumb but i tried to talked to new people and all they gave me was mixed signals :D NOT THAT I CARE OF, it's just making my feelings ?!?!!! everytime. But i'm over it now :) IMAGINE I WAS WILLING TO STAY LIKE THAT DAMN the things i do for women JOKE ! i know my worth and i'm in the process of loving myself again so !

I don't really know what to say damn. I lost 5kg in a span of one month i am frustrated hskajaha. It is my fault because I wasn't eating much last month and just found the will to eat again recently. I'm taking meds and maintaining my weight so it's kinda big deal for me. My mom keeps saying I look like a skeleton. Sometimes I just want the world to be shut smh.

My food cravings are coming back and I'm getting hungry everyday. I tried this bacsilog last sunday and now I want to eat it everyday ! Also, I'm craving samgyupsal again man. It's been so long since I last ate that. I miss foooood.

Sometimes I feel lonely. Especially when my friends aren't available at times. Mostly I feel lonely at night because I have no one to talk to. But I know I need to get used and learn to be alone so that I won't be dependent anymore. I want to learn how to be alone and the comfort of it. For now, it's very hard but I hope I'll get there.

I'm getting bored and bored every single day! Anyways, I'll see Lola Amour on Saturday and go to Star City with my friends on Sunday. Happy Birthday Stacy labidabs! I'm excited for the next days! Fully Healed, I'll get there.

And today, I'm reviewing this hot-served Lugaw Sisig from Mang Boy Alfredo Lugawan Restaurant! 🥣😊 How's it taste? Let's find out! 🤔

• So, we're here at the gorgeous Mang Boy Alfredo Lugawan Restaurant! Where they opened 24 hours of eating Lugaw soup (or any dish that they offered) by customers, like us! This is actually, my first time (or our first time) to stepped in during night time. And we all know, that we love eating restaurant at night time! 😋🥣🌙

• Such the case, with this delicious "Lugaw Sisig" that I've ordered. By the way, I'm with my family & my related aunt (or "Tita") for a special dinner night! 😁

• Anyways, the cost of "Lugaw Sisig" is ₱119 ($2.16). Mmmm, this lugaw look scrumptious! The combination of sizzling sisig mixed with warm rice porridge! 🥣😋 (along side with common toppings)

• And yes, the word "Lugaw" is a type word for Asian porridge. So, let's dig in! 😋

• Here's my spoon scooping on two different toppings. The first is the sisig toppings, then next is the boiled egg! Yum-yum! 😋 The fusion dish is fantastic, at the same time, its a bit spicy thanks to the sisig's signature recipe! And the presentation look great on the bowl, I love it! 🥰 Have some, you two! Let's finish this bowl.😋

• Minutes later, we're all done! Thankfully, they offered us a manual service of drinking water to wash out our meal! 💧😊

Overall:

• It's a unique dish, on what could be otherwise, a normal porridge topped with sizzling meal that Filipinos/Filipinas know in love. Will I ordered it again? Absolutely! 😁 However, I want a try other menus that they offered from this lugawan (porridge) resto establishment. And my paper dolls completely agrees.😊
