Chapter 3 - Chapter 5
Chapter 4
Next morning, Marinette walked down to an empty dining room. She awkwardly took a random seat and sat quietly for a few moments; she hoped that the family would join her for breakfast. After about 10 minutes she gave up waiting for them, “Um, Alfred?” she asked in what she assumed to be an empty room. Alfred, almost by magic, appeared before her with breakfast.
“Good morning, Miss Marinette,” he greeted, “Today’s breakfast is an assortment of pastries and a cup of chocolat chaud.”
“Thank you, Alfred, where is everyone?” Marinette asked as she gestured to the empty table.
“Ahem, Master Bruce is a late riser as he is usually up late. Master Dick returned late last night, so he won’t be up until later. Master Jason stayed up into the night reading, so he won’t be down for breakfast either. Master Tim has been awake for over 48 hours and I've made him rest. Miss Cassandra has left early for ballet practice, and Master Damian has fencing practice and would rather not be disturbed,” Alfred recited, his explanations prepared long beforehand.
“Oh,” Marinette muttered, “All right then.”
“You know, every month, we all gather and chip in to help the people of Gotham. Master Dick will be going to local orphanages tomorrow. Why, Master Damian goes to the animal shelters every week. Would you like to follow me to help give food to the homeless?” Alfred offered.  Marinette blinked for a moment as she tried to picture Damian, with his usual sour scowl, being surrounded by cute animals.
“That sounds great Alfred, would…would anyone mind?” Marinette asked.
“Not at all,” Alfred said before leaving.
Later, Marinette sat in the back of the limousine with a few baskets beside her, all filled to the brim with sandwiches made by Alfred. Her heart sank the deeper she went into Gotham City. She could never truly get used to the state of the city. “Where are we?” Marinette asked.
“Gotham City’s East End,” Alfred answered, “where most of the unfortunate souls reside.”
The car slowly came to a stop in front of a small alleyway. The entire street grew silent as everyone focused on the car. It wasn’t everyday a luxury car came to this part of Gotham, it attracted all sorts of attention. Alfred got out first and locked the car, and as he walked towards the side to open the door for Marinette, he was accosted by a man.
“Nice ride old man, wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to it.” The man spoke with a malicious glint in his eye.
“Let’s keep this amicable, Gentlemen. Please go away.” Alfred answered monotonously.
One man drew his arm back for a punch, only for Alfred to deliver a swift kick to the groin. The man instantly collapsed and writhed on the floor. Alfred opened the door and Marinette nervously stepped out and watched the man on the floor in worry and pity. She whispered a quick apology to the man. People on the street began to gossip, was this girl the heiress to a crime family? Gossip began to die down as Alfred gave them a stern glare, and people began going about their business.
Alfred quickly collected the baskets, “Miss Marinette, please stay close.” Marinette followed Alfred through the streets until they reached a shanty town filled with children.
Marinette gasped at the ragged children living on the streets and took an unconscious step back. Tears pricked her eyes for a moment as she saw the conditions they lived in, but this was replaced with a determination as she walked up to them and offered a sandwich. The children eyed her suspiciously, the closest one slapped her hand aside. “How stupid do you think we are?!”
Marinette froze at the hostility coming from the children, “But…I…” she stammered.
Another child shouted, “That's how they kidnapped Bob and Bill last week, two people came in dressed as the Mayor's Homeless Outreach Project. They threw Mackey through a window and even killed old man Steve.”
Marinette began to panic as the children of Alleytown began to yell at her. "All right, that's enough," a voice behind her boomed and all the children were silent. Marinette looked back to see Jason standing behind her.
“Jason?” Marinette said in shock, “What are you doing here?”
“I just happen to be around," he said unconvincingly. He turned to the children, “She’s with me,"
“Well well, if it isn’t Jason Todd, what brings you and your friend to Alleytown?” a voice came from nearby. Marinette turned around to see a blonde woman perched on the sill of an open window with one leg crossed over the other.
"Holly," Jason greeted plainly, "Marinette's a friend visiting from Paris. She just wants help out while she's in town." Marinette felt a twinge of shame, did Jason not refer to her as family out of contempt? She looked down at the floor, unable to meet Jason's eyes. "She's one of the good few, trust me."
Marinette looked up tentatively at Jason. She wasn't sure how to react, but here he was vouching for her to strangers. "I brought some food…" she said as she held out a sandwich.
Holly leaped off the window sill and landed in a roll, she strolled towards Marinette and picked up the sandwich offered to her. Marinette seemed a little startled by the ease with which Holly managed to do that. "Well, don't mind if I do," she said as she took a bite. Marinette nervously looked at Holly chewing, all the Alleytown kids stared too, suspicion still in their glares. "Hey, this is good. Come on and have some," she told the kids. In a split second their suspicious glares disappeared and the kids crowded around Marinette for free food.
The children swarmed and overwhelmed Marinette, she frantically gave everyone sandwiches.
They then quickly dispersed back into hiding after taking their portion, Marinette, Jason and Alfred were then left alone. Marinette breathed a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from her brow.
“Would you like a lift home, Master Jason?” Alfred asked as he gestured to the limousine.
“Sure, why not?” Jason shrugged. Alfred got into the driver’s seat and Jason joined Marinette in the back. Marinette sat quietly beside Jason, refusing to make eye contact with him. Instead she preferred to stare at her feet the entire ride home.  As the car made its way back to Wayne Manor, there was a deafening silence in the back seat.  Marinette felt like her siblings simultaneously wanted nothing to do with her, and yet one of them was nice enough to vouch for her back there.
"What's wrong?" Jason asked bluntly.
“Nothing, I’m fine,” Marinette snapped back.
Jason sighed and crossed his arms, “For the last two days, you looked as if someone kicked your puppy. Didn't think Gotham would make you miserable that quickly.”
“What's it to you?” Marinette asked, almost grumpily.
“Because there's only room in that manor for one miserable person and that's usually Bruce. And it seems like you inherited Bruce’s ability to brood for days too. Now are you going to tell me what's wrong?"
"Did I do something wrong?" Marinette whispered, her voice slightly cracked.
Jason looked at her in confusion. "Do you even think of me as family at all?"
"Is it because I called you a friend back in Alleytown?" Jason asked, Marinette nodded.
"It's something the public isn't ready for yet, it's to protect you. The moment someone finds out, you can kiss goodbye any privacy you have." Marinette nodded slowly as she processed Jason's words. "If it makes you feel any better, you're probably the only normal kid Bruce has," Jason said offhandedly, only to suddenly grimace. He swore internally at the careless remark. Marinette perked up at Jason's comment and looked towards him curiously. "Dick, Tim and I are all orphans. Unlike those two, I grew up on the streets similar to the kids you helped back there. Eventually we were all adopted by Bruce, one way or another. Cass ran away from an abusive home, and Damian’s mom travels around a lot.” he recounted, carefully wording it with half-truths. “And even though Steph has her mom and isn’t adopted, her dad was always in and out of jail."
Tears began to form around Marinette's eyes as she listened closely to her siblings' life stories. By comparison, her mother and father cared for her all her life, she couldn't even begin to comprehend what they have all been through.
Jason sighed and pondered what he could do to calm Marinette down. After a few moments of tolerating Marinette’s crying, he tentatively placed a hand on her head. “Still, you did good. Not many people would reach out to help the children of Alleytown. I’m sure it meant a lot to them.”
“Thanks…”Marinette sniffed. “I just did what I felt was right.”
Jason’s face changed to one of annoyance, though he turned to look outside the window. He groaned internally, at the very least Marinette wasn’t a Robin or a superhero of any kind. He was sure the very first thing she would do would be to jump in front of a bullet out of pure selflessness.
Early the next morning, not long before sunrise, the family sat around Batman. "I have bad news…"
"Well, that's ominous," Nightwing quipped.
"Just get on with it," said Red Robin.
"Marinette has caught the attention of Vicki Vale," Batman admitted, the entire room erupted in groans. "Quiet." Batman ordered. "Alfred and I have discussed it and we decided we should take the initiative. We have agreed to reveal Marinette but on our own terms."
Alfred spoke up, "We hope to cultivate a positive reputation for Miss Marinette and her family in Paris. Who knows what nonsense these tabloids can spew."
"So that's why you suggested to her to give food out yesterday," Red Hood summarised.
Alfred nodded, "Yes, I took photos too.”
“Any suggestions?” Batman asked.
Spoiler rubbed her chin for a few moments, being the only person in the group who actually reads tabloids of her own free will. “Why not a photo shoot? Have her look her best.”
Alfred took out his notebook and began writing. “Not a bad idea. I was considering a debutante ball or a formal introduction at the next gala. Though, she will require etiquette lessons.”
Red Robin raised his hand stiffly, “Will there be an interview?” he asked.
Batman nodded in response, “Yes, Ms. Vale is asking for one.”
“Then I suggest it be pre-recorded then broadcasted, or at the very least a strict script for both Marinette and Vicki to follow,” Alfred suggested.
Nightwing sighed and facepalmed, “I hate the paparazzi,” he groaned. This is our fault for not being careful. We need to make sure her and her family’s reputation stays intact.”
Red Hood laughed, he grabbed Nightwing by the shoulder and with his free arm waved across the space in front of them “I can see the headlines ‘Gotham's Homewrecker!’” Nightwing elbowed Red Hood in the ribs. “Come on, this is exactly the kind of shit to expect.”
“He’s got a point,” Oracle chimed from the screen, “The Gotham Gazette can be ruthless.”
"Then it's settled, I'll break the news to her later," said Batman.
After another quiet breakfast alone, Marinette quickly went back to her room. She curled up and sat on her bed, her knees against her chest.
"Are you okay?" Tikki asked.
"I want to trust my family, to trust my father and siblings. I want to believe in Dick, Steph and the others. It's just…been hard, especially with what we saw out there."
"Hmm, I understand how you feel. Maybe it is just your father, after all, he did mention most of the others were adopted,” Tikki remarked, “Besides, Dick, Cass and Steph seem nice."
"You might be right Tikki. Who knows, maybe the adoptions were publicity stunts,"  Marinette said.
There was a knock on her door, Tikki quickly flew into Marinette's sleeve. "May I come in?" asked Bruce from outside. Marinette slapped her hand over her mouth, worried that he heard what she just said. She shakily opened the door slightly to peer out.
Bruce gave her a polite smile, "Good morning, how are you?"
"I'm g-good" she stammered as she opened her door to let him in. Bruce stood inside for a few quiet moments, he ran his hand through his hair nervously. This in turn made Marinette more nervous.
Bruce broke the uncomfortable silence, "It seems, the paparazzi found out about you," Marinette's eyes widened and was about to speak before Bruce interrupted her.
"I've decided that, if we don't have a choice, we need to make sure your introduction is flawless."  Marinette quietly nodded as she listened to her father. "Alfred will provide you the details, and he will give you lessons on etiquette. We have a photo shoot planned and you'll be formally introduced during the next gala."
Marinette continued to nod, an awkward silence enveloped the room again. "Just be careful, gossip magazines can be ruthless. This may also affect your family," Burce said ominously.
Marinette didn't respond, she just looked down at the floor. Bruce checked his watch, "I'm sorry, I have an appointment soon. See you later,” Bruce then quickly left the room. He had hoped he conveyed the message to Marinette that all this was for her sake.
Once he was out of earshot, Marinette slumped onto her bed and screamed into her pillow. Tikki flew out and tried to console her. "I can't believe it, that jerk! Now that his secret love child has been revealed he expects me to be the perfect child? All for what? To protect his reputation?!"
She sighed deeply, before turning on her TV, she flipped through the channels, and froze as the news came on screen. “Mr. Wayne! Mr. Wayne!” the reporter yelled as she pushed through the crowd. The cameraman followed the best he could, the camera shook as he pushed past the large group of people gathering. The view slowly came into focus and she saw her father in a fancy suit, scantily clad models on either side, his arms over their shoulders. She didn’t have the energy to be any more shocked, she could only stare at the screen blankly. Watching billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne appear before a large crowd at some party. He was chatty, sociable, flirty, he winked towards the camera with a bright smile. It was as if he was a completely different person in public. Frankly, it made Marinette feel uneasy and reaffirmed her earlier beliefs, Bruce Wayne was someone who valued his reputation above all else. And it made her sick.  The interview that followed was vapid and uninteresting, though she was amazed to see her father acting like an absolute airhead.  She stared in shock as she watched her father act like a loveable fool for the cameras, she was almost impressed by his acting.
"Why don't you go for a walk, try to clear your mind?" Tikki suggested. Marinette signed and nodded, she got up and left her room.
She wandered the empty halls of Wayne Manor aimlessly. She spent much of her time staring at the floor instead of its architecture. Fear began to slowly creep up as she thought what would happen when word got out, what would happen to her? Her friends? Her parents? Would an angry mob try to burn down the bakery? Just as her anxiety began to spiral she noticed a familiar pair of shiny shoes in front of her. She looked up to see Alfred in a frilly apron dusting a few portraits.
"Ah, what brings you here Miss Marinette?" asked Alfred as he worked.
Marinette took a closer look at the portrait, some man who, from what she gathered, passed centuries ago. The entire length of the hall was decorated with portraits of serious looking men. Their stares felt judgmental, as if all her ancestors deemed her unworthy. "Uh, I just wanted to know who the people in all of these portraits are," she said.
"These are portraits of all the heads of the House of Wayne, starting all the way back to 1640 with Nathaniel Wayne," Alfred explained as he walked to the corresponding portrait.
"The Waynes have been here for that long?"
"Indeed, the Waynes have been around since the founding of the old Gotham Town. By the way, has your father told you about your predicament?" Marinette nodded. "Good, first we should focus on your photoshoot and interview. I've arranged an appointment at the tailor's later and asked Miss Cassandra and Miss Stephanie to join us."
"Actually," Marinette interrupted, "I was wondering if maybe I could design my own dress for the event? In fact I did design something for Gabriel Agreste." Marinette thought this might save her from being poked and prodded by a seamstress while everyone argued over what would look best on her.
"Why, that's wonderful" Alfred said with a smile, "we can just get the fabric as well as any tools you may need. Why don't you wait for Miss Cassandra and Miss Stephanie in the living room?"
Alfred opened the door and ushered Marinette into the living room, she froze slightly as she saw Tim sitting on a sofa. He seemed busy as he worked on his laptop. Marinette awkwardly walked in and sat across Tim, on a different sofa. The two sat in silence until Cass and Steph walked in.
"Hiya Marinette," said Steph as she entered while Cass gave her a wave. "Ready to go shopping with us?"
Marinette glanced over at Alfred, who gave her an encouraging nod, before walking towards them.  The two girls ushered her out of the room, waving back at Alfred behind them.
Before they walked out, Marinette said, "I was hoping to make my own clothes, I want to be a fashion designer. I even designed something for Agreste Fashion."
"What? no way, what did you design for Gabriel Agreste?" Steph asked excitedly as she sat beside Marinette.
"Sorry, wait, you designed something for Agreste Fashion?" Tim said as he looked up from his laptop.
Marinette nodded, "Yeah, it was for a competition at school. My design was featured on the front page of a magazine," She took out her phone and showed them the photos of her hat in various stages of production along with the front page with Adrien as the model. Everyone crowded around Marinette's phone to take a look at the hat she designed. "I also embroidery my signature into it, as proof of authenticity." She turned her phone upside down and lo and behold the golden etching spelled her name.
Everyone's jaws dropped, as Marinette's name was spelled clearly in the hat.  The three of them crowded around her phone screen to get a better look.  Marinette was starting to get overwhelmed from their excitement, she took a step back to try to compose herself. Lucky for her, Alfred had stepped in just in time. "Ahem, shall we make our way to the tailor's?"
Tim had decided to join their shopping trip at the last minute, Marinette sat quietly unsure as she hadn't really interacted with him other than mealtimes. Steph and Cass conversed with each other, it was more like Steph doing the talking for both of them.
"So other than fabrics, what else do you need?" Tim asked.
"Um, let's see…" Marinette thought of what she may need, she considered her budget based on the pocket money she brought with her. "Some pencils, a ruler, thread, needle…" she listed.
Tim listened intently, before turning to Alfred. "Alfred, do we have any empty rooms near Marinette's for her to work her dress?"
"Yes, Master Timothy, there is an old unused study near her bedroom," Alfred responded quickly without even taking his eyes off the road.
Shopping at the tailor's became a blur for Marinette, she was introduced to many materials, each with their own pattern. She struggled to decide which to pick as she didn't have inspiration just yet, she was a very long way away from the place in Paris where she used to sit and sketch out  her best ideas. Normally her work would be based on the materials available to her, yet this new found freedom of choice made it hard to pick a specific fabric. At Tim's suggestion, they purchased almost all the fabric available at the shop. Tim even offered to pay for it all, much to Marinette's surprise, she tried to stammer a protest that this was too much but she was cut off by the others.
Next came the tools, she asked for a simple set much like hers back home. A needle and some thread, with some basics like pencils and rulers. Just like earlier, Tim had again purchased all the tools needed, an entire sewing machine, a mannequin, tables, chairs, racks and shelves for all the fabric.
After a long and hectic day of selecting everything she needed to make her dress, that and so much more, she sat in her new workshop in awe.  Her workshop looked like a professional tailor, in fact even better equipped than the tailor she went to earlier that day. She slowly walked around, examining each and everything in the room, Tikki quietly followed behind her. Marinette reached out to touch a piece of the fabric, vicuña wool, the world’s most expensive fabric. Beside it, a large roll of guanaco, she ran her hands through the roll of the finest wool she had ever seen. But at what cost? Perhaps this was their way of showing their support and helping her, at the same time, it felt like she was cheating her way to the top. It felt like a dream come true, she now had a studio beyond her wildest dreams. But at what cost? She now had to make a dress like her life depended on it.

"Of course I'll come and support you. I'd love to accompany you to the after ceremony meal. I adore listening to people talk about swords and spikey things…. Not! Just don't abandon me and it will be fiiiine!!!"
The person who sat down next to him was muttering under their breath. Jason snorted to himself in agreement. They seemed just as thrilled to be at this event as he did. With Bruce off-world, Dick actually having to be a 'normal policeman' for the day, Timmy left to run Wayne Enterprises, Jason had drawn the short straw and had to 'accompany' Damian and play guardian/adult at this fencing competition thing. Neither were happy with this but they made do.
As soon as they had got to the banquet room Damian had marched off to talk to the fellow competitors. Apparently one of his fencing idols was here and he wanted to talk to her.
Jason ignored his table companion for the moment, and continued to read Austen on his Kindle app via his phone.
"Five minutes! Five blinking minutes! Mon dieu! I understand why Adrien declined now! Urghhh they're all so so urghh!"
The person banged their head against the table and drew him again out of his book.
"Tell me about it"
The person startled out of their mutterings gave a dazed look at Jason. Jason himself seemed just as surprised he had spoken. Finally actually looking at his companion he was pleasantly surprised to see a young woman roughly his age he thought. She definitely knew how to dress for the occasion and looked stunning despite her previous vocals and slumping behaviour not matching the look.
"I said that out loud didn't I?"
Jason let out a chuckle.
"Yeah, you did. You seemed as thrilled to be here as I feel"
Groaning, the woman sat back in the chair and became the 'presentable' person who attends these events and started to actually take in his presence rather than be the background fuzz to her grumbled musings.
"I am thrilled to be here. Or well, to support my friend. She claims she hates these sort of events and they get too much for her. I'm her escape route so to speak for when that happens. I enjoyed watching the fencing but this…. This…"
She waved her hand around the room.
"This bit is less enjoyable. They all come across so competitive and as soon as they find out you're a 'plus one' well, then I'm of no interest and to be ignored."
She let out a sigh.
"Sorry about this. It's just, my friend promised she wouldn't abandon me. It failed as she was dragged into a detailed conversation about techniques and different blades as all before maneuvering into other conversations and networking. I'm happy for her. I am …"
The woman paused, seemingly lost in thought as she stared out into the room but not actually seeing it.
"Mood! I'm the only one in the family who was free to take my little brother today. Like you said watching the matches is ok. This after shindig here is less fun. At least you managed 5 minutes with some company. As soon as we got here the little demon abandoned me in favour of finding his idol to interrogate her. I decided to find my seat for the meal and read till he returns. I'm basically his transport it seems."
That drew a giggle out of his table companion. It was a pretty giggle that did something funny with his heart. Putting his hand out toward her.
"Jason"
She looked at his proffered hand and blinked.
"I mean, my name is Jason" he said a little awkwardly.
Smiling, she took his hand to shake.
"Mine's Marinette"
To Jason her hand fit perfectly into his. 'what was wrong with him. Is Dick right that he's read too many romance novels.' Despite being small and appearing delicate her hand was callused and she had a good handshake. She was a regular contradiction which intregued him. Elegant like she belonged at these events but human enough to not quite fit if you knew her. Delicate, or perhaps petite giving the illusion of delicate but strong underneath the illusion.
"So what are you reading? Can you tell me about it?"
Jason launched into talking about Lady Susan.
……………………………………………………...
"Mari-hime, it is time to leave. I'm sorry I have not spent as much time as I would have liked with you this evening. Would you be willing to grab an orange juice tomorrow morning with me as an apology?"
"Gami-hime! There's no need to apologise. I found company and have been talking with Jason for the most part and with his brother Damian when he joined us a short while ago. This is your event to shine at, not mine. You looked fantastic out there doing your stuff. Plus it would be the inverse if it was at fashion week, no need to apologise"
Marinette smiled at her friend who moved her attention away from the brothers. Had she been looking she would have seen both men had a look of shock on their face. Damian from the fact his brother had spent the evening talking to his idols plus one and was his route to talking to her. Jason from the fact his brother grabbing his arm and practically shaking it (for Damian that is).
"Oh! Jason, Damian. I'd like to introduce you to Kagami Tsurugi. She invited me this evening. Gami-hime, this is Jason and …"
"Damian. Damian Wayne. It's a pleasure to meet you Ms Tsurugi. I really admired your fencing technique that you used in your last match. The use of that particular combination was very impressive in scoring that last point."
"Thank you Mr Wayne. Your match was also impressive to watch. You are a skilled fighter. I look forward to a match with you one day. Mari-hime?"
Marinette turned back to the Wayne pair seemingly unphased by the name drop. Maybe she was unphased considering she attended with a Tsurugi. Jason could feel Damian's excited energy radiate off him despite it not showing obviously on his person, but his focus was on this fascinating woman, Marinette, he had met this evening and appeared to be slipping through his fingers to leave. Before he could say anything, she rummaged in the purse she had brought with her and pulled out a card.
"Thank you Jason, Damian, for spending time with me this evening. I really enjoyed the company."
Marinette said with a smile in her voice. Gently she took Jason's hand and placed the card in it.
"Call me, maybe? I'll be in town for a bit before we return home. Thank you and ummm yeah, bye"
She had a faint blush creeping into her face as she spoke.
"It was a pleasure Marinette. You made the evening, Night"
Kagami nodded to the boys as she slipped Marinette's hand into the crook of her elbow guiding her friend away from the Wayne.
"Todd. You will call Ms Dupain Cheng and arrange a meeting with her and Ms Tsurugi!"
Jason laughed at Damian's demand. He was planning on calling, staring at the card Marinette handed him. MDC.... Isn't that the designer Tim goes on about.
It appears he would have two of his brothers approval.

Family life
As requested by tagged user below: check them out 😉
Jason Todd and Bat family x female reader. Jason has a secret family that the batfam didn't know about. Then they meet them by accident.
Five years ago you met Jason when he the Red Hood, he saved you from a mugging in an alleyway in Gotham City.
He walked you home and eventually asked for your number, however Jason could never see himself as a settle down type. Bit he was smitten by you, you were sarcastic and tough. Plus you were hilarious which he liked a lot.
Him not settling down changed when you told him you were pregnant.
'What?' He asked in shock, as he stared at you with wide eyes from the hallway of your apartment.
'I'm pregnant' you repeated, holding up the pregnancy test which read...yup, positive.
'Holy shit y/n, this can't... I can't, I can't do this' he said welling up, you rushed over and hugged him.
'It's ok to be scared Jason, I'm scared too. But we will be fine, we got this' you reassured him, Jason placed a hand on your stomach and smiled.
'Marry me' Jason blurted out, now you stared at him with wide eyes.
'I'm sorry?'
'Now I'm serious, marry me' Jason repeated, smiling at you.
'Jason I... uh...yes' you said as you wrapped your arms around him. Kissing him deeply.
...
Now three years later, you were settled as a married couple. With your three year old daughter, Delilah. Who was a carbon copy of her Daddy.
You knew about Red Hood, but only because Jason had to tell you a year ago. Your Father got involved with Falcone and Victor Zsasz. When Black Mask and Moroni got involved your Dad fell in too deep, Red Hood had to save him. Then turn him into the GCPD.
One thing always bothered you, you'd never met Jason's family. You knew hardly anything about them.
Jason loved your mum however, she was his favourite person (after you and Delilah), and being an only child your mum, Melissa, was able to focus all her attention on you three.
'I'm taking Delilah to Play school tomorrow, is that OK y/n?' Melissa asked you, you smiled at her.
'Of course Mom, that's perfect thank you' you replied.
'Where are my favourite girls?' Jason called out, all three of you turning around smiling.
'Daddy' Delilah called out in excitement as she ran over to Jason, Jason leant down to pick her up.
'Hey princess' he smiled as he kissed his little girl sweetly.
'Jason' your mum smiled as she hugged him, 'I'd better go, I'll be back tomorrow for my little angel' she said as she gave Delilah a deep kiss in the head.
'Good day?' You asked as you kissed Jason, Delilah buried her face into her Dad's neck, getting comfortable.
'Yeah, was interesting. Was thinking we should have a movie night' Jason replied, you smiled.
'Sure, I'll do dinner first' you replied, Jason put Delilah on the floor to play with her toys.
'I'll run to the store and get some snacks. Be back in 10' Jason said as he kissed you both goodbye and left.
...
'Are you sure this is the right place?' Tim asked as he looked down at his phone, reading Google maps.
'I'm sure, this is one of his secret hide outs' Dick replied.
'Why is it so secret anyway?' Damian asked, Bruce shrugged.
'Who knows, we're here now anyway' Dick smiles as he points to the house in front of them.
'Whoa, picket fence and garden? Does that sound like Jason?' Tim asks as they all approach the front door.
Approaching the door Bruce knocks firmly on the oak door. Little footsteps approach as the door swings open.
'Hello?' Delilah speaks, Bruce and his sons look confused at the little girl.
'Uhm, hi?' Dick answers, a woman runs out into the hallway.
'Who are? Bruce Wayne?' You say confused, they all look at you and then at Delilah.
'Is it just me or does she look like...' Tim begins but is interrupted when Jason runs upto them.
'What the hell are you guys doing here?' Jason booms as he approaches them. You stand confused.
'Jason you know these guys?' You ask, holding Delilah in your arms.
'Y/n, these are my Brothers and Bruce, my Father' Jason replied, shyly.
'What?' You answer shocked,
'Guys this y/n my wife, and our Daughter Delilah'
'What?' The boys almost shout in unison. Jason just goes over to you and puts an arm around you and Delilah.
'Back to my first question, what are you guys doing here?' Jason asks again, they all just stare at the three of you. In shock, or atleast what you think shock looks like. Mostly because you can imagine that's what you look like now.
'You got married?' Dick asks,
'You have a child?' Tim asks,
'You never told us?' Damian asks,
'She never knew about us?' Bruce asks,
'People, one question at a time please' Jason rolls his eyes. Everyone just stares blankly at each other.
'Yes I'm married, yes I have a child. And no, I never told her about you guys because I didn't want y/n and Delilah to get involved in all this' Jason explained.
'Well...you' Bruce was gonna speak but was lost for words. Dick and Damian were in sync and were just confused, he found the time to get married and make a child and also be Red Hood. And no one was the wiser about anything.
'Jason, why didn't you tell them? Or me?' You asked shyly, Jason just stroked your hair.
'I would've given everything up for you, but I also would've died before letting you get involved in any of this' Jason said sweetly.
You loved your Husband, more than anything and not only that, he was the Father to your child. His family, they looked so sad they never knew.
'I think you all need to talk' you suggested as you took Delilah into the next room. Jason pleaded with his eyes, but you held strong and carried your Daughter out of the room.
...
It was a good hour before anyone showed signs of living, Dick, Tim and Bruce were first to come in. Followed by a reluctant Damian.
'Hi I'm Dick' Dick smiled as he held his hand out to you, you shook it with a smile. 'This is Tim, Bruce and Damian' he finished.
'Great to finally meet you guys, even under the circumstances. I'm sorry' you said, Bruce sat down next to you and Delilah who instantly went over to him.
'May I?' Bruce asked you shyly, you smiled and nodded at him. Bruce held his arms out and picked up your little girl, she looked very comfortable in his arms.
Jason walked in to see Delilah snuggled in Bruce's arms.
'Hey Jason' you smiled, Bruce stood up and walked over to Jason, Dick taking hold of Delilah.
'Son, I'm proud of you' Bruce spoke to Jason, Jason's eyes watered up and he instantly took hold of his Father.
You smiled as you watched Jason have a tender moment with his Father. Delilah looked up brightly at her Uncle Dick, he looked back at her with instant love.
The boys all sat round and chatted to you both, taking turns to play with Delilah.
'I would die for this child' Damian said as he looked in her eyes. He wasn't aware he said it out loud until he saw everyone's faces.
'I can babysit' Tim cracked as everyone started laughing.
'I love you' Jason whispers to you as he takes your hand.
'I love you too' you smile.

Wings and Melodies
The screams were deafening. The crowd was like an ocean of lit up glow sticks and reflecting dyed hair over the sea of black and grey. Thousands of die-hard rock and roll fans gathered together for a night to remember. After all, when was the last time an international star came back to honour his roots in Gotham?
A lot of people tried their luck at going international solely to escape Gotham, not come back. So it was the reason why even crime rates in Gotham lowered a smidgen. Arkham was quiet, everyone's ears listening out for the concert hooked up through the radio and into the intercoms. The streets were clearer than usual as their eyes latched onto their screens. The cheers and chants of the crowd were growing wilder and wilder. Everyone was waiting on the edge of their seats for Jagged Stone's global tour.
"Wayne! Jon! C'mon, the concert's about to start!"
"Slow down, DC, it's not like Jagged is coming on for another hour."
"Tt. Kent's right. You don't need to haul us around so incessantly."
Marinette pouted up at the two giants she had hooked her arms between. "Well, if we had left the house when I asked to, we wouldn't be so late." She huffed, tugging them forward again, mumbling under her breath in French. "Plus, I would never miss the opening act, not for the life of me."
Damian raised an eyebrow at her whispered words, close enough to her that he could tell she was murmuring something or another but not close enough to hear it over the roar of the crowd. He glanced at Jon who was wincing from the screeching harpies around them. He would be no use.
As they got to the front, it became a bit more breathable, and he let out a sigh of relief. It was a wonder no one had noticed that he was a Wayne yet. I suppose Dupain-Cheng was right about the disguise.
He scratched at the corner of the shimmering black eyeshadow that covered the top half of his face like a mask in the shape of a bat, a matching bucket hat blocking his signature spiky hair from view. It baffled him before how he hasn't been caught yet by such a simple disguise. Judging from the similar eye makeup other people in the crowd sported, some even more vivid than a peacock's feathers, it was a common look worn and thus made it easier to blend into the crowd.
That did not mean, however, that it covered up the fact that the makeup itched. He wanted to swipe the nonsense off his face and head home, but he stuck around. After all, he made a promise to her, Kent, and Grayson that he would stick around for at least two songs. He was free to go off as he pleased after that. Something about enjoying his last year as a high school student and being a normal kid. He would rather be on patrol or attempting to beat his Cheese Viking high score on the Bat-Computer.
An elbow struck past Jon, who had gone a bit further to check out the view from the front row, and hit Marinette square in the back. She stumbled forward and her right foot caught onto the back of her left heel. Her eyes widened in shock, and her hands braced for impact with the concrete.
Only to stop sooner than expected as she stared straight into a black canvas. She blinked. The canvas shifted, and her fingers squeezed on what appeared to be warm and muscular forearms. "Tt, be more aware of your surroundings. You have horrible balance as it is."
"Th-thanks, Wayne..." She stammered. "So you can be nice from time to time."
He frowned at her words, and was about to retort, no doubt a scathing remark about how he was always civil and that it was her rather who was uncouth and impolite. That was the perfect time for the lights to go out, plunging them into total darkness.
His hands tightened around her shoulders for a split-second as the crowd grew louder and louder like an earthquake. The piercing screams shook the foundations of the arena. Marinette's bluebell eyes that glowed in the dark blew wide open. She wiggled her way out of his arms and rammed straight up against the metal fence barring them from climbing the stage.
A power-chord rang through the air, sending the pulsing crowd into a frenzy. The incoherent cries of the fans focused on one name as the lights spun to focus on the sole figure on stage. The mysterious guitarist spoke up into his mic, a deep chuckle vibrating through out the whole building.
"Are you ready to be rocked, Gotham?" The tenor voice almost crept into a growl as he smirked into the microphone.
Damian stared at Marinette, who was bouncing on the tips of her toes, balancing like a leaf on the thin steel fence. Half of her body, or should he say, her shoulders up, were hanging off the fence and leaning towards the stage. He couldn't see the way her face lit up at the sight of the guitarist, nor did he understand the meaning behind any of it. He was more focused on swooping feeling inside his chest at the sight of her excitement.
Damian took a step forward to match her, propping himself on the fence. She didn't even register him standing next to her.
Plot plot plot ok
Marinette moved to Gotham after the whole Hawkmoth thing was over because Paris had too much pain for her etc. etc. Jagged Stone used to live in Gotham blah blah blah so she lived there now and she becomes acquaintances with Damian (in his language, that's friends) then she gets free front row tickets to Jagged's concert of course (3 in total) and she brings Damian and Jon
Fast forward and the concert is starting guess who the opening artist is. He's a little older than them, has a bit of a problem communicating his thoughts across sometimes and he has dyed hair. Yeah of course it's Luka.
Guess what he opens with.
You fucking guessed it, it's Marinette's song. The Melody he hears in his head when His Melody is around. But this time there are lyrics
Something something blue hair captivates my soul I can't get you out of my head I won't let you go yadda yadda yadda
And he makes eye contact with Marinette who is being so supportive of Luka and everything
And Damian sees this and he's like 'shit'

AWBE Chapter 13: to be seen without pity.
Marinette let out a huff as she laid on top of her bed, staring at the ceiling.
She had begun to envy her time at the temple and League.
Marinette knows that it’s a horrible thought to have and she should never want to willingly go back there.
What were they expecting from her with the way people are treating her.
At least while she was with the league or at the temple, people weren’t treating her like she was someone to pity. Like she was a cracked glass, ready to shatter at any given moment.
The feelings of pity radiating off of anyone and everyone she has had contact with the past month were driving her insane.
Doctors.
Nurses.
Therapists.
Police officers.
The Police commissioner.
Aunt Penny.
Uncle Jagged.
The list goes on and on, even though the people she's allowed contact with are very limited.
She hasn't even had the chance to say hi to her older brother, her fox, or her cat.
She couldn't help but wonder if those three would treat her like this as well.
How much was she asking of people to treat her like a regular person?
How much was she asking of people to treat her with more than just pity and sugar-coated words?
She was getting sick and tired of being treated like this.
Of course, Marinette doesn’t plan on telling one that this is how she feels.
She couldn’t ‘tell’ anyone anyway. Even if she wanted to because her voice still wasn’t back.
Okay, that’s a lie.
Her voice works just fine when she speaks to the kwamis.
Her voice works just fine when she’s talking to herself.
Her voice works just fine when she’s talking to plants and animals.
Her voice doesn’t work with anyone else.
Marinette had tried to talk to people by not looking at them, not saying anything about the league, the temple, Hawkmoth, or the miraculi, but it didn’t work.
In addition to that any time someone is within a five-mile radius of her, Marinette’s magic picks it up and her voice disappears.
It's not like she could just turn her ability to sense people off. It is a skill that has become the same as the skill to breathe. It was a skill you don't even think about when you're doing it, and a skill that you can't just stop doing.
Marinette let out another huff before sitting up off the bed.
She quickly changed into a pair of leggings and a wrap shirt she had made in her spare time. Jagged and Penny being happy to buy her whatever fabrics, supplies, anything she needs or wants really.
Grabbing a backpack, Marinette placed her sketchbooks, Pens, Pencils, and erasers inside the bag.
Marinette sent a quick text message to her Aunt and Uncle, letting them know that she will be in the garden, before placing her phone in the bag with the rest of her things.
The gardens were always rather calming and quiet.
Just not today.
Marinette had already been in the garden for ten, fifteen minutes when a dog came barreling into her.
She tried to coo at the great dame but her voice caught in her throat.
It made sense since the owner was probably nearby.
Except this was the backyard of Stone Manor.
How did the dog even get back here in the first place?
Her question was answered when a man around her age slipped through a person-sized gap in the fence. The area was covered in vines and soft plants so it made sense that she hadn't noticed it before.
Marinette let herself appear, uncaring to the man as she giggled at the dog that was nosing her for attention.
She observed his energy and had to stop herself from physically freezing.
Her neighbor is the bartender?
He seemed to freeze upon seeing her playing with his dog. The man simply awkwardly stood there until the dog, Titus the name tag read, ran over to him and gave him a push.
The man walked a bit closer, leaving more than enough space for her not to feel crowded, and cleared his throat. She pretended to notice and looked up at him, blinking a few times before offering a smile.
"I apologize for Titus. I hadn't even known there was a way he could get out of our yard." The man said as Titus ran back to her for more pets.
Marinette nodded her head as she scratched behind the dog's ears.
The man watched her play with Titus for a bit before she realized that she never gave him her name.
Taking out a spare sheet of paper, she quickly scribbled down her name before offering the paper to the man.
He looked at her questioningly before reading the paper.
He paused to look at her before looking at the paper again.
"Marinette?" The man questioned.
Marinette simply nodded her head and pointed to herself.
That made the man furrow his brows.
"Can you not talk?" The man questioned, clearly confused.
Marinette nodded her head.
"But you talked at the bar." The man stated.
Marinette nodded again.
"Why can't you talk now?" The man questioned.
Marinette looked at him, really looked at him, observing his body language and energy.
He didn't pity her.
He was simply confused.
He didn't quite lack social skills, they just weren't easy for him.
Almost as if he hadn't learned them till much later.
Marinette paused when she could sense the Lazarus pits on him, but he most likely hadn't been in contact with them for at least a decade with how faded the energy was.
The energy made her want to try something.
Taking out another piece of paper, she asked for his name.
"My apologies, that was quite rude of me. I am Damian Wayne, and that's my dog, Titus." The man, Damian, introduced himself.
Marinette looked at him for a few moments before pointing to her throat, then at her head.
She proceeded to draw a symbol on the paper, writing something down next to it.
When Damian looked at the paper he tensed, reading it out loud to make sure it was correct.
"The doctors said I was traumatized by the bad people." He read, turning the paper to face her. "This symbol belongs to the 'bad people?" Damian questioned, receiving a nod from Marinette.
Damian looked at her with a new weariness, as if she was a weapon instead of a cracked glass about to shatter, and kwami was it nice to not feel someone's pity.
"Why are you telling me this?" Damian questioned cautiously.
Marinette handed him another piece of paper.
"You have the Lazarus pits energy on you. It's faded, so my gut says you're safe." Damian read out loud again.
He looks at her for a bit before letting out a sigh and taking a seat next to her, Titus happily laying his head down in Damian's lap.
Damian took one of her pencils and wrote a number on the paper before handing it back to Marinette.
She looked at the paper with curiosity.
"You'll run out of paper if you keep talking like that. Texting would be more effective." Damian said as if that train of thought wasn't missing a few details.
Marinette took the number and added it to her phone.
_______________
+1(***)-***-****
: Why do I need your number to talk to you?
_______________
Damian looked at her confused before releasing his mistake.
"You just got out of the League. I'm originally from the League. If you want to talk about something that happened there I would be the best person to talk to." Damian explains.
Marinette tilted her head in thought before shrugging with a nod of her head.
_______________
Marinette
: but why would you do that?
_______________
Damian looked up from his phone and raised a brow at her.
"You said it yourself, your gut feeling is that I'm safe. Plus I've probably been through something similar to you." Damian said with a shrug.
Marinette thought about it for a moment before shrugging.
They ended up sitting in somehow comfortable silence for the next hour or two.
Marinette only left to head back inside when she got a text from Penny that it was time to eat, so she has to go back inside.
Titus let out a whine when she stood up to leave.
_______________
Marinette
: it was nice to meet you again
_______________
" you as well Marinette."
With that Damian and Titus went back to their side of the wall, and Marinette back into the manor.

Betrothal Pt. 2
When Marinette receives Tikki she is freaked out at first but quickly has her explain what she can do as Ladybug, before transforming and taking the Akuma out easily without Chats help.
She still does the speech to Paris after taking out Hawkmoth's butterfly face thingy.
Alix and Nathaniel are already in her bedroom by the time she gets back, both immediately knowing that Ladybug was their Marinette.
The next day Marinette has Alya claiming they were best friends, she decides to give the girl a chance but doesn't actually bring her into her personal friend group. Plus she really doesnt like that Alya 100% believes that she has a crush on Adrien, all because she had a picture from his recent shoot that she was going to put on her inspiration board.
Alya ignores that and gets all the girls except Alix in on trying to get them together. Marinette continuously tries to get them to stop but after a while she gives up.
Marinette also goes over footage of her fights pointing out to Tikki how under trained Chat Noir is.
"Tikki I'm not doing this because I want a new partner. I'm doing this because I don't want him to die, which he will if we don't train him properly! Stop thinking about this so-called Guardian and think about Chat Noir's life!"
Tikki relents and the next night she and Chat have a heart to heart. She explains to him that she isnt in love with him and won't be, she tells him she's been betrothed since birth. At first Chat points out that the holders are supposed to be soulmates, but Ladybug points out that if anything they are platonic soulmates. She tells him that she wants them to know each other's identities because they are partners and they need to trust each other with their lives. She tells him she'll only allow it if he agrees to begin training with her. Chat Noir agrees and they reveal themselves both a little shocked.
The next day Adrien quits Fencing without telling his father or Nathalie and goes to Marinette's house to begin training with her,  Alix, and Nathaniel.
Adrien realizes after a month that he only thinks of Marinette as a sister. He starts to get annoyed when the boys, except Nathaniel, try pushing him to ask her out.
When it's almost summer Marinette tells Tikki that she is going to Gotham for the summer. Tikki goes to the Guardian and Fu gives her Kaalki in order for Marinette to travel back and forth for attacks.
When the school year ends Marinette's mother is waiting in the car with Marinette's bags on the last day. She kisses Alix Adrien and Nathaniel's cheeks telling them to keep training while she is gone, and promises to be safe. The rest of the class quickly surrounds her asking where she's going and why she isn't spending the summer with them.
"I'm going to Gotham. I go every other year, this is nothing new. I've been doing this for years."
Alya makes a big stink about her 'bestie' leaving and the class tries to convince her to stay. This upsets Alix and Nathaniel, both know the class never cared before, they didn't even help stand up to bullies. Adrien himself wants her to stay but he can see how much she wants to see Damian, so he just kisses her cheeks gently and wishes her a safe trip before opening the door for her. Marinette thanks him as she gets in waving goodbye to her friends before they drive away.
During the school year Damian meets and befriends Jon Kent. At first they dont get along but Damian warms up to him. Damian is proud of Marinette when she becomes a hero, and that their friends are training hard to be ones as well. He even gets permission from Bruce to allow Marinette to train and patrol with them.
Dick and Damian pick Marinette up from the airport and soon everyone in Gotham is talking about Marinette being back. What's even more talked about over the summer is the small dates the two begin to go on.
Halfway through the summer Damian admits to Marinette that he is in love with her and that even if they weren't betrothed he'd still want to marry her. Marinette kisses him softly telling him that she feels exactly the same.
Marinette is excited when she first patrols Gotham with Damian and Dick by her side taking the name Bluebird.
Bluebird mainly patrols with Nightwing, they both take on Bludhaven side by side. Bluebird patrols  with Robin and Batman every Sunday. Her mandatory night off is on Friday with Robin both of them labeling it their date nights.
Soon after making her debut as Bluebird Marinette discovers Tiktok, and a treasure trove of videos featuring the Wayne family and the Batfamily. She immediately creates two Tiktoks after getting a second phone under a fake identification. This phone is strictly for Bluebird, and so is the Tiktok.
Marinette's favorite Tiktoks are the ones saying that Bruce Wayne is Batman because the butts match. Her Tiktok blows up when her first video is posted.
It starts off with Marinette smiling at the camera with Damian and Bruce standing behind her. When Bruce turns around she gasps opening her eyes widely and whispers to the camera. "Omg...the butts match!"
Marinette continues to make videos of the entire family without any of them noticing, both as Marinette and Bluebird. Both accounts are verified within a week. She posts multiple videos a day all featuring a different member.
The most popular video of Dick is him hanging upside down from a chandelier all smiles while Damian is a few feet away looking up at him.
Damian-It's going to fall.
Dick-No after the first couple times Dad got this one reinforced so it wouldn't.
Tim walked past literally drinking from a coffee pot-No he got the one near the West sitting room reinforced.
Dick looks up when the ceil creaks and a second layer he and the chandelier are falling
Dick-Shi-!!
The video then cuts off.
Jason's most popular video is him blindfolded as he puts a gun back together in seconds not knowing Bruce is behind him.
Jason- Impressive right?
Bruce- I thought I said no guns in the manor
Jason screams before calming down- Oh its you I thought it was Alfred.
Alfred- Master Jason
Jason screams and tries to run with the blindfold still on but runs into a wall.
Tim's popular video is multiple clips of Tim right as he passes out and falls with a loud thump. After three clips people here three voices yelling Timber in the background after he faints. The last video shows Tim knocking over a bookcase only to look at Marinette confused when he hears Timber screamed from three different parts of the manor.
( @daddybats-and-babybirds Hello! So I saw your headcanon a while back and really liked it. If you're seeing this I tried to find you on Tumblr to ask for permission but couldn't. If you don't want me using this please message me and I will remove it immediately! Thank you!)
Cass's popular video is very sweet. It's different clips of her taking care of and spending time with her family. The first clip is her slowly reading aloud curled up next to Bruce, the next is her pushing a chair underneath Dick as he goes to sit down after Jason pulled the other one out without him realizing. Third is her gently cleaning a cut Jason got after falling from a tree. Fourth is her covering Tim with a blanket and moving his work onto the table. Fifth is her painting Stephanie's nails while Barbara does Stephanie's hair for a date. Six is her carefully moving Damian to his room trying not to wake him up. Seven is her helping Alfred during spring cleaning, and eighth is her posing in some of Marinette's clothes as the boys help with lighting and Stephanie takes the pictures.
Bluebird's Tiktok features a lot of videos of her flipping around and laughing wildly as a few older villains run away yelling about the second coming of the first Robin. After every  one of those videos another is posted of Nightwing bent over cackling at what the villains yelled. Everyone in Gotham is thrilled when it's confirmed that Nightwing is actually the first Robin, all recognizing the cackle. A few videos feature the Batfamily arguing through body gestures without saying anything, she'll flip the camera around to show her grinning and writing will pop up saying what they were arguing about. Most of the time is about getting food while on patrol, but one time Red Hood insulted Nightwings butt. The two most popular videos are one where she is a few feet behind Batman and all you see is his cape and head, and she has "Bruce Wayne???" written in. The second is Red Robin sitting in the back of an ambulance with a shock blanket around his shoulders.
Red Robin-  What now? I'm in shock! Look I've got a blanket!
Batman- Red Robin!
Red Robin- And I just delivered twins while stuck in an elevator! Twins Batman!!
Batman turns and walks away silently while Red Robin looks at the paramedic.
Red Robin- Im going to regret that during training tomorrow.
The only time Bluebird makes noise during a Tiktok is when she is laughing wildly. She does this because both her Tiktoks are popular and she doesn't want to take the chance of someone recognizing her voice. She is not worried about the wild laughter because she is calmer as Marinette but as Bluebird she lets herself be wild and carefree. Batman enjoys having Bluebird on patrol with him, her hero persona reminds him of when he and the first Robin started.
Marinette announces that her and Damian are finally dating in a Tiktok showing them on a date at the parks with Barbara and Dick as their 'chaperones'. The video shows her holding his hand walking behind him before she flips the camera and winks at it, in the background walking behind them is Dick pushing Barbara's wheelchair, while looking down at her lovingly.
An hour later Marinette is recording a video where they had been pulled over by Commissioner Gordon himself. Dick is pale as he nods to everything Gordon says while Barbara is groaning refusing to even acknowledge her dad. Before the video cuts out she whispers, 'I forgot a lot of Gotham officers follow me, oops…'
The family also helped Marinette master the art of coming up with excuses and slip out without being noticed, for when she has to rush back to Paris.
The family celebrates their birthday together before having a Gala the night after celebrating it for the cameras. The family shows up wearing Marinette's own designs and she is buzzing with excitement when multiple people ask for the designer's information for commissions, they turn 14.
When summer is coming to an end Marinette really doesn't want to leave but she knows she must. Marinette promises to visit for Christmas.
When she returns she is excited to see Alix, Nathaniel and Adrien at the airport with Gorilla to pick her up. Adrien smiles mischievously, telling her that his father agreed after Adrien mentioned that his friend was a rising Fashion designer, MDC.
Marinette enjoys her first day back spending it with her friends. The next day she is slightly annoyed when Alya bursts into her room at 7 in the morning demanding details about her trip and if she met anyone famous.
Marinette decided in that moment that she was very thankful she never shared her Insta with Alya and that Alya doesn't know about Tiktok. She does however indulge the girl telling her she had a lot of fun and tells her some of what she did. Alya is quick to tell her all about what the class did together and what she did over the summer. However her tune changes when she sees a few pictures of Adrien pinned to a board, and suddenly she's once again trying to come up with ideas to get them together. At this point Marinette is thankful when her mother comes up, asking Alya to leave so that Marinette can help with chores.
The school year starts the same as always and Marinette decides to run for class president. She is surprised when she wins and names Nathaniel her vice president much to Alya's annoyance.
Marinette also meets Jagged Stone only a month into the school year after designing glasses and an album cover for him. At first Jagged doesn't realize the rockin' girl that made his glasses was MDC until at a party when someone excitedly points out the MDC signature on the side. He begins talking to her more with her parents permission and takes her in as his new niece. Soon he is only wearing clothes that she makes.
Half way through the year Lila shows up. The class sans Mari, Adrien, Alix, Nathaniel, and Chloe are all taken by her immediately. Marinette is not there the day she arrives.Lila attempts to lie her way into Adrien's graces using her Ladybug excuse. But Adrien quickly tells her that he doesn't want to hear it, because there is no way Ladybug would let her defenseless or possibly disabled friends know her Identity out of fear they'd get targeted.
Lila is outraged that her lie failed, but she wants Adrien under her thumb and starts devising a plan for it to happen.
The next day Lila tries to charm Marinette when she is upset over her desk being switched without even asking her. When everyone heads out for lunch she quickly snatches up Marinette apologizing and selling her sob story of Jagged's kitten. She is shocked when Marinette begins to laugh and tells her that it was a nice try but Jagged Stone has a crocodile named Fang because he is allergic to fur. Lila gets even madder and decides to just threaten Marinette telling her that she'd take away all of the class. Marinette just rolls her eyes and tells her good luck with that before walking away to join her friends.
When the four return from lunch they find Lila sitting and crying with the class surrounding her as Alya comforts her.
Lila is quick to claim that Marinette refused to listen to her when she tried to explain the seat switch and that instead she made fun of Lila's disabilities. Alya is upset at Marinette and tells her that she is disappointed that her best friend would act like this and that she needs to give Lila a chance.
Marinette just signs walking back to her new seat and sits down, Adrien follows her up and sits next to her while Alix and Nathaniel take the bench in front of them.
Alya huffs continuing to comfort Lila until she finally stops fake crying, the rest of the class sits down in their seats and starts talking again. However they don't talk to the four
As Lila is there she slowly learns more and more about Adrien and Marinette planning on getting Adrien under her thumb and to take Marinette out. She learns about Marinette's huge crush, Alya's words, on Adrien and that Adrien's dad is so strict that he won't even let him have a birthday party. She begins studying the two of them before making her final plans.
She attempts to get Marinette expelled but fails when the Principal insists that it must be a misunderstanding . Even when she starts crying and claiming Marinette is bullying her, the teachers do nothing. It isn't until Chloe confronts her that she finds out Marinette is the top student in the school and a certified genius. Chloe smirks, informing her that if the school even attempted to claim she was cheating they'd not only come under fire, but they'd lose their funding from having her there.
Lila decides to just make the class hate Marinette while still trying to get Adrien. She is unable to get a foothold even when she manages to get Gabriel's attention claiming  Adrien is hanging with terrible people. However the moment she mentions Marinette's name she is shut out. Gabriel telling her that Marinette has a higher standing than the daughter of an ambassador any day.
Lila's anger gets her akumatized into Volpina, she goes after Marinette determined to hurt the girl in some way. She finds her at the skate park watching Alix practice. She creates an illusion of Adrien and has the illusion walk up to Marinette. The illusion begins to tear into Marinette claiming that she is a terrible person, and doesn't deserve anything that she has, before telling her that they were no longer friends. She gets angrier when Marinette asks the illusion what her nickname for him was and smirks when the illusion doesn't answer. Volpina gets so angry she just attacks Marinette swinging at her with her flute getting angrier when Marinette blocks each hit with her arms barely flinching until Chat Noir tackles Volpina away from her. Marinette is quick to run away, Alix following her. Soon after Ladybug joins them in the fight, once they defeat Volpina. Ladybug turns to find Lila crying claiming that she didn't want to hurt Marinette but the girl had been bullying her.
Chat Noir growls but Ladybug quickly stops him from doing anything.
'I know you're lying Lila. I suggest you stop lying, and have that video removed claiming to be my best friends. The only friend I have while in this mask is Chat Noir. You are putting yourself in danger by lying.'
Lila however just stops crying and galres at the heros huffing and storming away.
The next day everyone is talking about Lila taking another trip to Achu to visit Prince Ali. They get annoyed when Marinette asks Rose if she is going to email the Prince asking about her.
Eventually things return to slight normalcy and they only have to listen to Lila's lies when she video chats the class.
A few weeks after she has left Adrien finds the Miraculous grimoire, he immediately brings it to Marinette and shows her. Once Tikki sees it she insists that they bring it to the Guardian so she and Adrien set off together finally meeting Fu. Half way through their conversation Adrien is called back home by Gabriel. Gabriel demands the book back and is deeply upset when Adrien says he lost it. Gabriel dismisses him and he destroys his room before akumatizing himself.
Meanwhile Marinette is tearing into Fu for giving them the Miraculous without any proper training. Soon after she gets a message from Adrien saying that Gabriel had been akumatized. She quickly transforms meeting up with Chat Noir on the way once they defeat The Collector they return to Fu and take pictures of the book. Marinette then heads to the Agreste Mansion with the book in hand. When Gabriel comes to the door she quickly introduces herself before handing the book over.
"Adrien was really excited to share the book with me today while we had lunch at my home. However he forgot it in my room, sorry it took me so long to get the book here Mr. Agreste!"
Gabriel takes the book and thanks Marinette before questioning her and Adrien's relationship. Marinette laughs softly telling him that Adrien is like a brother to her. He then asks why brother and not best friend. Marinette grabs the ring around her necklace playing with it gently.
"Because my best friend is my boyfriend and my betrothed."
Gabriel then issues an invite for her to come over more, saying that she is clearly a good influence on Adrien. Marinette thanks him before saying goodbye and leaving.
That night they all meet in their wearhouse to talk about it. Even though Adrien is distressed he agrees that his father is still their biggest suspect.
Marinette pulls Oracle and Batgirl into a video call as they all sort through Gabriel's dealing since Emilie's disappearance. They determine that he wants Tikki and Plagg for a wish relating to Emilie. Marinette pulls Adrien aside and they have a heart to heart.
"Do I want my mom back? Yes, more than anything, but she-My mom would never want this. She'd be so incredibly disappointed in my father for terrorizing the city she loves. She'd be disappointed in me for thinking for even a second to help my dad."
Oracle looks into every dealing Gabriel has had while Batgirl focuses heavily on going through camera footage.
Oracle points out a few months before Hawkmoth started Gabriel paid the city to remove the camera from around his mansion. Batgirl shows them footage of the house before he paid the city off pointing out the window designed like a butterfly. Showing that the small middle section is designed to open. Oracle finds something big from a few months before Emilie disappeared. She found that Gabriel hired multiple workers to come and build an underground garden, paying them off so that they would never mention it. She also found he bought a pod specially designed for those in coma to keep them from dying.
They all start planning on how to take Gabriel down. The only reason they haven't acted is for fear of his company. They don't want it to fall and have millions lose their jobs. They also want more evidence to take to the police. Oracle hires someone to install a camera facing the window in order to get confirmation.
Adrien meets Kagami much the same way except Marinette confirms that she did win. She however gets akumatized when her mother brushes off her success. After being defeated, Adrien extends his friendship to her, and they slowly grow closer. Soon after Marinette meets Luka when he drops something off for Juleka. He helps her pick up the books she dropped and they are quick friends. Marinette can immediately tell that he is a meta and Luka is surprised but tells her that he can hear people's soul songs.
A few weeks later Gorilla is akumatized after Gabriel thinks he is Chat Noir. Ladybug is easily able to save Adrien getting him to safety before defeating Gorizilla she tells Hawkmoth to watch out because they are on to him.
After this Luka invites Marinette to his family's house boat during the music festival, when his mom gets akumatized Luka is quick to help Mari escape. Afterwards he tells her that he knows she was Ladybug and Adrien Chat Noir. Marinette brings him into their fold and when she does Adrien asks to bring Kagami.
Before the school year comes to the end the class meets Clara Nightingale. Clara becomes fast friends with Marinette and tries to get her to be Ladybug in her video. However Chloe has the shoot shut down and she is akumatized into Frightningale. After the fight Marinette encourages her to have everyone in the video wearing masks showing that they are all heros in their own way. Clara agrees and Marinette is very thankful that neither of her masks in her hero persona a black.
Adrien admits to Marinette that he has a slight crush on Kagami so Marinette enlists the help of Luka and together they go ice skating. While Kagami and Adrien are skating Luka and Marinette are calmly talking about the pair. Mari asks about their songs and Luka is silent for a second before smiling softly and telling her that their songs are beautiful together.
Two weeks before the end of the school year Lila returns to school. Once again the class is listening to everything she has to say.
She quickly convinces the class to exclude the four including Chloe from class plans over the summer. She is dumbfounded when the four don't care. Once the school year is over the class only sees the four in passing and every time there is an unknown boy with them.
Lila gets pissed when Gabriel stops having her do photoshoots with Adrien and gets even more pissed when Adrien announces on Twitter that he is dating Kagami.
Halfway through summer the classes are talking excitedly about Fashion week in Paris, excited to see Adrien and Lila modeling. They are surprised when they arrive and Marinette is sitting in the front row with Nathaniel, Alix and four unknown boys and three girls. One of them in a wheelchair. When Audrey arrives she is greatly upset at the seating until Marinette and Cass politely offer her and Chloe their seats. Audrey calms down but is still upset at the slight Gabriel has given her. She accepts the seats and both girls get up, Marinette moves and sits on Damian's lap leaning back against him as he wraps his arms around her waist. Cass goes to sit behind Jason but he gets up giving her his seat before sitting behind her. Marinette greets Chloe politely before introducing her group.
"You already know our classmates Chloe but this is my boyfriend Damian and his brothers and sisters. Richard, Jason, Cass, Tim, and Stephanie."
Chloe is polite in return introducing her mother, Marinette nods politely
"Pleasure to meet you Mrs. Bourgeois, I am Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Some of my designs are being shown today along with Mr.Agreste's"
Audrey sniffs slightly starring Marinette down before offering a curt greeting. She then attempts to call Gabriel only for her call to go straight to voicemail. She grows more and more angry as she sits in the stands. Half way through the show she gets up and storms out angry that a girl that is unknown got a front seat but not her. When she is akumatized she goes after Marinette, she is unable to fire her because Damian jumps in the way getting turned to gold instead. Marinette is quickly pulled away by Tim who gets her to a safe place encouraging her to transform. Adrien joins them a few minutes later. After they transform Chat Noir agrees to distract Style Queen while Ladybug gets four Miraculouses
Nathaniel- Trixx- Youkai
Alix- Fluff- Bunnyx
Kagami- Longg- Ryuko
Luka- Sass- Viperion
When the fives get back they discover that Chat Noir had to change back, and after he de-transformed Style Queen found him and fired him as a way to get back at Gabriel. They launch into action fighting her. Viperion and Bunnyx sit on the back burner watching the fight. Viperion periodically shifting back using second chance and Bunnyx jumping in to grab one of the others when he tells her. Once she is taken down Gabriel comes and apologizes to Audrey telling her he fired the person that gave her a second row seat. Gabriel then apologizes to Marinette and Damian for this mistake causing her to be attacked. Adrien hurries over quickly hugging the couple telling him that he is happy they're both safe now. Audrey takes note of his clothes and comments that it's far from Gabriel's usual designs.
"Because it's not this outfit that was designed by MDC herself. He and I did a collaboration. She designed all the male outfits and I the female."
Audrey immediately jumps on him, admitting to knowing MDC.
"You know MDC? You know the Wayne family, along with Jagged Stone, and Clara Nightingale's personal designer?"
Gabriel nods gesturing to Marinette who Adrien was still hugging. Tell Audrey that MDC had been standing right next to them along with the Wayne's. Audrey is silent when she realizes she didn't recognize the Wayne family while she was angry. She immediately extends the offer for Marinette to come to New York with her to grow her exceptional talent. She brushes Chloe off when her daughter is upset over her mother never taking her. Marinette however refuses to go before telling Audrey off for telling her own daughter she is not exceptional.
"She may be mean and a bit of a bully but Chloe is exceptional in her own way. I will never work with someone who treats their own family like dirt. Ya know I always thought she was just a mean person, but now that I see who her mother is, I can tell you raised her to act exactly like you."
Marinette then walks away with her friends and the Wayne family following her along with Adrien. The next day Chloe shows up at the bakery and apologizes then thanks Marinette. Tell her that Audrey actually took what she said to heart and decided to stay in Paris to get to know her daughter. This starts a shaky friendship between the two
"Also why haven't you told anyone you're dating a Wayne??."
"Alya is obsessed with famous people, how do you think she'd react to finding out I'm famous in America but also betrothed to the youngest Wayne."
"You have a point but wasn't she your best friend?"
"No she was a friend but honestly she never really listened to me. I mean she thought I was in love with Adrien."
For the rest of the summer Chloe joins the group of friends and even though she is still mean they can tell she does care for them. Much like how Damian acts to the others except Marinette. Damian and Chloe actually enjoy getting into little arguments over different things.
They celebrate their birthdays at Le Grand Pairs at Chloe's place Gabriel even allows Adrien to attend, while Marinette's parents cater the party, they turn 15.
When summer ends the entire group is at the airport saying goodbye to Damian.
The school years start rather calmly with random akumas popping up but none particularly dangerous. It isn't until halfway through the year when Heroes Day comes around and Hawkmoth akumatizes Lila allowing her to create the illusion of an akumatized Ladybug killing Chat Noir.
The fight gets so bad that Fu joins in desperation to help. However at the end of the fight he realizes that his time has been shortened. He proceeds to name Marinette and Adrien Guardians, telling them that he'll shortly lose his memories and a few weeks later die. He tells him that they will not lose theirs unless they recreate the potion he was given.
A few weeks later Marinette is visited by a lawyer, Fu leaves her everything in his will. Marinette has enough money to last a lifetime.
Hawkmoth's akumas are steadily getting stronger and it seems like Lila is getting akumatized every other month. The Miraculous Team begins to think that Lila is working for Hawkmoth, and after hacking her phone Oracle confirms that she has been.
Before the end of the year Lila convinces the class to kick Marinette as their class president. Marinette steps down without a care however in front of the class she tears apart her notebook that had everything in it for the class's end of the year trip. Telling them to have fun planning another trip, before turning to her friends.
"Chloe, Alix, Nathaniel, Adrien, you're coming to Gotham with me this year. We'll let Kagami and Luka know when they come over today. You're gonna love it Wayne Manor is beautiful, and we all get to stay there for the whole summer!"
Lila scuffs saying that her Damiboo would never let a bully like her into her house. She then tells the class that she was asked to keep it a secret for a while but her and Damian had been dating for three months.
They are startled when they hear Dick laughing from the doorway.
"My little brother is dating you, good one, especially since my brother has been betrothed since he was born."
Alya immediately jumps to Lila's defense demanding to know who Dick is. Causing him to roll his eyes before turning to Marinette. Telling her that he was taking them to the airport and that they'd be taking the jet to Gotham one their last day. Before he leaves Alya demands to know who he is.
"Richard Grayson-Wayne, now I'd appreciate it if you stopped telling lies about my family. Damian would never go out with you, he has been dating Marinette for almost two years now. Oh and Mari, I'll let dad know your six friends will be coming with us."
The class is stuned and Lila immediately starts crying, telling them that Damian must have lied to her. However Max, Juleka, Rose, Ivan, and Mylene no longer believe her.
When the class ends the group of friends leaving ignoring everyone excitedly talking about their trip.
Once back at Marinette's they all relax talking about what they are going to do while there. The group is upset that Marinette and Batman won't let them patrol Gotham but they don't put up much fuss. Marinette tells them they'll use Kaalki to get back and forth for fights and that while there they'll be finalizing plans to take out Gabriel with the help of Batman.

Maribug: Good Luck
True Bee: TRAITOR
Marinette felt bad she really did. But then again now the class wasn't her problem anymore and she felt joy. She prayed Chloe could keep the class together for a while. With a sigh, she walked up to her room to finish her packing. Her Maman was now busy calling Mr.Wayne  to ask about the arrangements. Dick said that if Bruce wasn’t ready she could stay with him at Bludhaven in the meantime.  Damian was texting her about the “rules”.
No mistreating his pets, Don’t try to become Graysons Favourite sibling  “because that spot is already filled”.  Don’t try to seperate Tim Drake from his Coffee, Cassandra Cain is dangerous but awesome  and Jason’s Existence was to not be mentioned outside of the manor.
What was even that family? Seriously she knew that they all had interesting backgrounds but Wasn't Jason Todd murdered by an Arkham Crazy a few years ago? Seriously that family sounded like a perfect base for a Buzzfeed Unsolved episode. Huh maybe her secretly being a superhero won't be the strangest thing in the family.
Marinette quickly packed her sketchbook and made sure to put the horse miraculous box into her purse. Master Fu was updated to an extent that she was going to be out of the country, out of continent really, for a few weeks.  Luckily she had Kalki to help with teleportation. She didn't have to panic about customs or anything. Mr.Wayne had a Private Plane. She’ll be flying over to Gotham with her parents and they'll be staying at a hotel for a few days. Get her “acclimated” to an American city and the customs. Paris will have to go without delicious sweets and treats for a few days.
Taking a final glance around the room Marinette was suddenly filled with a sense of homesickness. Didn't matter that she hadn't left, she didn’t even know when she'd come back. Sadly she had to leave some of her sewing and designing things. She had made sure to finish all of her commissions. However only a quick glance at her emails and her MDC website revealed that a lot of purchases and commission inquiries were being made. As soon as she gets to Gotham she will have to try a good fabric store and buy a new sewing machine and mannequin. She wasn’t a fool, she is definitely taking some of the expensive fabrics, Alexeis Fencing uniform was safely packed along with her saber.

With a final glance around she crawled down. And let the door shut with a final click.
Gotham City                                                                                                  U.S.A                                                                                                              2:30 pm
“Sabine Sabine Sa- Of course, Marinette can stay with me for a bit longer. Yes yes, Dick already told me the basics about the situation. Are you sure you don’t want me to get involved? You really should get the police involved. I don’t like bullies or liars.” Bruce stated. Seriously Bruce was really tempted to fly over to Paris and press charges against those little demons. Heck, he wants to press charges against the foolish teacher and idiotic principle.
“Bruce calm down, trust me I will handle the school and the bullies, right now I want to get Marinette away from them” Sabine stated with a growing smirk. Oh, don’t mess with her.  Bustier and Damocles are going down. However, she had to be a little patient and play the long game. She knew Marinette wanted to handle her classmates.
“Fine don’t worry about it,  what are you two planning to do about school?” he asked, a bit concerned. Seriously another one of his kids was getting bullied and harassed.
Bruce was having flashbacks to the bullying and harassment Dick and Jason went through when they went to school.  Dick dealt with months of being called things like gypsy trash, charity cases, and circus brat before he finally built up the courage and told Bruce. Jason on the other hand, Bruce found out really quickly about his bullying. Mostly because Jason would get into fights. Tim didn't deal with bullying that bad, sure he got called a nerd and orphan trash but Bruce handled that very quickly because by then he was an expert. Bruce wasn't willing to put Cassandra through school. No one dared bully Damian Al Ghul Wayne.
“We actually haven’t thought that far,” Sabine admitted sheepishly. “But we have the necessary paperwork prepared”
“Why not enroll her in Gotham Academy along with Damian?” Bruce suggested
“It's a private academy, the tuition is in the 30,000’s” Sabine suggested exasperatedly.
“You’re kidding right?”
“I’m just saying I don’t think Marinette would be comfortable with going to a school like that.”
“She went to school with a Model, The Mayor's Daughter, and a comic book artist”
“Bruce!”
“I’m just saying Gotham Academy has already been the school where all of my older kids have attended, plus it has the best security due to the fact that I funded it.” Yes, Bruce was an overprotective parent. Sue him.
With a sigh Sabine couldn’t help but give in she was also an overprotective parent. “Fine but You’ll be the one to deal with her freakout over the costs”
“Deal”
Orly Airport                                                                                                    Paris, France                                                                                                5:00 pm
With a quick hop, Marinette couldn’t help but gape at the private jet with the blaring WAYNE INDUSTRIES on the side. Once they were inside they made sure to get comfortable. It was going to be at least an 8-hour flight. Marinette took out her sketchbook and quickly sketched out a few new future designs. however, she took a quick glance at her parents and saw that her mother had dozed off on her father's shoulder. She quickly flipped a page that revealed a few ideas for an altered ladybug outfit. She needed a redesigned outfit.  No more skin-tight suits or pigtails. She's doing a loose outfit and braids, being a superhero with loose hair was plain impractical.
Seriously there is a reason why all superheroes either have short hair or have their hair tied back.  With a few final touches, she was done with the redesign, now all that was left was to show Tikki the new design. That's another worry for Marinette.  Finding time to talk with Tikki was easy enough to do with her parents. They were bakers who had to wake up early so they usually went to sleep really quickly and early plus she was also an only child, which made it easy for Marinette to slip away for her Ladybug nightly adventures and talk with Tikki. How is she gonna manage that in a house filled with a bunch of people?
Marinette flipped to another page and decided to start sketching a new dress design. She’s curious about what type of colors she wants to use. Maybe Marinette should make it all black? No, too dark. Maybe a few touches of blue? Nah. Red? Nope, she has enough red clothing. Purple? Yuck. Red and Green? Nope, she doesn't want to look like a traffic light. Gold!! Black and gold would be perfect!! Cape? Wait no, Edna Mode the animated icon made a good point on why capes should be banned.
Taking a quick glance around she finally risked taking a peak on Tikki. Tikki was comfortable situated and munching on a bunch of sweets. Marinette softly closed the purse and decided that sleep was the perfect course of action. Wrapping her sweater around herself she allowed the warmth and darkness to overtake her.
Cesaire Apartment Paris, France 7:30pm
“Okay listen up gang since Marinette abruptly dropped out, it’s up to us to raise the money for the school dance and the end of the year field trip which is a few months away,” Alya said.
Lila was quick to point out how horrible and awful it was for Marinette to leave them with all the work.
Alya couldn’t help but notice that only a few people showed up to the meeting. Noticeably absent was Chloe, Juleka, Sabrina, Max (who said Markov needed a reboot or something) and Ivan. Alya couldn’t help but be concerned by the absences. They needed their help to get all the planning ready and everything.
Rose was squealing at a thought of being able to decide on planning the theme of the dance. “Oooohhhh I can’t wait for the dance, do you think Marinette would still make me a dress?” Rose asked while glancing around. Sudden realization seems to hit them all. This year they will most likely have to pay and buy their own dresses and suits. Marinette always made them their outfits and that was part of the reason that they became the talk of the school after a dance. They always looked stunning.
“Rose Marinette wouldn’t dare not make you a dress, you’re one of the sweetest girls in the school if she refuses to make you one then she is Heartless” Lila stated fervently. Oh, Lila was making sure to get her claws completely in the class, she didn’t have an obstacle anymore.
“Lilas right, Marinette would always help you no matter how mad she is at you.” Adrien chimed in. All of a sudden their phones started pinging. Adrien quickly took out his and gaped at what he was reading in the class group chat.
Sabrina has left the Chat

🌹🗡Young Justice: The Rose Veil 🌹🗡
Species: Human
Race/Ethnicity: African-American
Family: Cecelia (sister), Kiki Jacobson (second cousin), Leona Leone (descendant; Legionnaire)
Homeworld: Earth
Hometown: Gotham
Friends: Diana Prince, June Myers (OC Civilian)
Acquaintances: The Justice League, Legion of Superheroes
Love Interest: Bruce Wayne
Enemies: The Light, Crystal Ann Cotton/Cottonmouth, Darkseid's forces
Appearance
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Brown
Skin Color: Dark Brown
Civilian: Varies but tends to wear a white pantsuit on her job, and casual wear off the clock.
Rose also possesses moderate psychic abilities including aura sensing and mind-shielding. She is not immune against very strong telepathy & telekinesis, and too much exertion leaves her with excruciating migraines & nosebleeds.
Suit: Sleeveless bodysuit colored in various shades of pink, long fingerless gloves, and ankle boots. Accessory is a gem, and sometimes pouches on her alternate suits.
Powers and Abilities:
Rose Veil is trained in a variety of western sword styles including fencing. While not physically strong she relies on concentration & agility.
Another skill Rose has is bare knuckle boxing, as well as self defense styles. She does know how to use firearms but prefers not to use them.
Weapons/Gadgets: Rose Darts, Diamond Sword, smoke marbles, knuckle braces, Communicator Earrings
Bio: Not very much is known of her early life except that she lived in Gotham for most of her childhood. She moved back after college to work at an office, eventually becoming a school teacher. Nicole took up superheroics to keep an eye out for at-risk youth in her neiguborhood. In S1 she didn't have a protege and felt lonely, so often times she would help the Team. Starting in season two onward she would take in her second cousin Kiki, and after a series of events Kiki's powers came to light (no pun intended) causing Rose to decide to train her cousin to learn how to use her newfound abilities.
Trivia
Sometime after the third season she met her descendant Leona who came to the Earth of the past to warn the JL of an upcoming threat.
The reason she wears pink is to stand out from all the other superheroes as none of them wears that color. Plus it looks pretty
She is voiced by Nicole Beharie, who is also my faceclaim for TDK!Rose
The BatRose ship has a couple of ship tease moments...though they don't become official until after s3 and after Bruce & Talia broke up. So when Damian grows up he's gonna have two very protective mommies XD
Since she is a huge fan of soap operas she always records them whenever she's away from home
Rose has alternate outfits, and tends to wear some type of pink or magenta to stand out from other superheroes.
Rose is based on Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon (except actually useful lol)
Rose is considered the princess of gotham due to her compassion and actively participating in charity and youth programs, despite not being rich and wealthy.

Never alone - Chapter Ten - Soulmate AU

Master List
Thank you guys so much for your reaction to the last chapter, I’m so happy you liked it :) I love getting your thoughts on the chapters!
The trip back to France was as tiring as the trip to Gotham was. It was like they had traveled a few hours to the future when they finally landed. It was after saying goodbye to her friends and settling back at home that she was grateful that they arrived on a Saturday. It meant she could use the next day to rest before starting school again on Monday.
The very first thing she did when she got back home, besides hugging her parents as tight as she could, was to put back the horse miraculous in the miracle box. She didn’t have to use it at all during the class trip in Gotham as Hawkmoth has been unnaturally calm for two weeks.
She didn’t want to think about how Gabriel Agreste was out of the country during those two weeks and would be for another two weeks. It was too much of a coincidence for her, but Chat Noir would tell her that Gabriel Agreste has been akumatized and couldn’t be Hawkmoth.
She knew that, and that was the entire reason was the man has been crossed off their list of suspects. But even after his akumatization, there was still a little part of her, deep down, that was suspicious of Adrien’s father.
And Hawkmoth’s silence while the head of the Agreste brand was absent from Paris didn’t help in her suspicions. She hoped that she was just paranoid and that Gabriel Agreste was innocent — or, well, as innocent as a man abusing his own son can be. Something must be done about this too — because if he wasn’t, this would break Adrien.
But Chat Noir didn’t suspect the man at all, and it was all it took for her to not insist too much. For whatever reason, that particular subject was very delicate for her partner, and he had once snapped at her for bringing it up. She chose to trust his instincts and didn’t bring it up anymore.
Chat Noir was her equal, after all. They were a team, not a hero and her side-kick, so she had to take his opinion into consideration.
But that meant that they didn’t have any suspect anymore. And they were no detective. They were just teenagers, and the police constantly reminded them of this fact when they asked for their help tracking the terrorist down.
She understood that they had other matters to attend, but an adult taking advantage of the people of Paris to attack the city was an important matter too, wasn’t it?
But apparently, that was the heroes’ job, since it involved miraculous…
Marinette was scared that they wouldn’t be skilled enough to bring the man down. Robin was right: she needed to learn how to fight properly if she wanted them to have a chance in this fight. She doubted that Hawkmoth would just give up his miraculous the day they find him and confront him. No, there would be one hell of a fight, that’s for sure.
Speaking of Chat Noir, she would have to tell him about her finding her soulmate. That’s a conversation that she didn’t want to have. Chat still had feelings for her, he made that clear with the way he was looking at her, and he was convinced that they were soulmates. That the miraculous was hiding that fact.
That’s a conversation that she really didn’t want to have. Her partner would end up hurt, and in his own pain, would hurt her in return.
She knew him. He didn’t mean it, but when he was hurt, he would snap at her and blame her.
She never held it against him, though. While before, he wouldn’t apologize when it happened, ever since their serious conversation, he would own up his mistakes and apologize to her afterward.
But the conversation still wouldn’t be pleasant.
Sighing, she told herself that it was a problem for future Marinette, and right now, she wanted to sleep. She took her phone out, sending a text to Robin to tell her that she was back in Paris safe and sound, that she hoped he was ok and had a good day and wished him good night.
It was still only six in the evening, but she knew she would sleep until the morning.
Without anything else to worry about, she told her parents and then Tikki good night, and was out as soon as her head hit her pillow.

Sunday passed quickly for Marinette. She did some research on the internet for martial art classes and found some that could fit in her schedule. She thought about telling Chat about it, so he could maybe take some too. She wasn’t very hopeful about it, though, as she knew that the boy has a very full schedule. Plus, he knew how to fence, so maybe it would be enough for him.
She also got to video call Robin, and they talked for an hour or so. It was the middle of the night for him and she felt guilty to keep him up like this but he waved her concerns away. He told her that he usually went to sleep late anyway, and it was a weekend day.
They agreed that they would call once a week during the weekend, so it wouldn’t interfere with either of their sleep schedules. They both needed to be well-rested with their extracurricular activities.
She was happy that she got to see him — even if it was only in video — but she couldn’t help but feel his absence. She could already tell that it was going to be tough for her to be away from him like that.
And they had only known each other for two weeks.
For all she loved this whole soulmate thing, she also hated it for making her long for Robin like that.
Hopefully, she would get used to the distance and it would get less and less bad with time.
After this call, she used the day to make a plan for her paper about her internship. She had to submit it to Ms. Bustier on Friday, which gave her a lot of time, but she would rather finish it as soon as possible.
Surprised Akuma attacks taught her not to do her work at the last minute. She can’t remember the number of times back in middle school that she submitted an essay late because of an Akuma attack.
She even got to write the introduction and the first part of her paper!
Proud of herself, she ate a nice dinner with her parents and related everything about her trip to Gotham. She also told them about the martial art classes that she wanted to take, and they agreed with her, worried about the Akumas that were becoming more and more violent.
Knowing that their daughter would know how to defend herself, they could worry a little bit less when she was out.
But, she was their daughter. They would always worry about her anyway.

After Marinette’s class went back to Paris, Bruce — in his Batman alias — decided to organize a meeting in the Tower about the situation in Paris.
It was decided in this meeting that they would do anything to get the Justice League of Europe to get them to agree to let the JLA send one or two of their heroes — or vigilantes — to help Ladybug and Chat Noir.
They couldn’t possibly let two teenagers alone just because the JLE couldn’t be bothered to help them.
Batman knew that the JLE would fight tooth and nail against them, but he wouldn’t back off. A city was literally taken hostage and they didn’t do anything about it.
To say that the Justice League of America was pissed was an understatement.

At the end of his classes on Monday, Damian went to the guidance counselor’s office, decided to talk with him about the French exchange program.
The young Wayne’s school offered an exchange for the last year of school in different pays. One of them was France. Very few students ever did it, though. The school curriculums being different in the two countries, upon return, the student had to take a test. If you passed, then it was good and you could graduate with your class. If you didn’t pass, you would have to repeat the year.
No one wanted to take the risk to repeat the year, so very few students ever got in this program.
Damian was a very confidant teenager with perfect marks, so he knew he could get into the exchange program without having to repeat his last year of high school.
When he entered the office after knocking, the counselor was very surprised to see him.
“Mr. Wayne! What a surprise! If I knew I would see you besides the mandatory hours…”
The student threw a glare at the man’s way, making him freeze in his seat.
“Uh… Alright… What can I do for you, Mr. Wayne?”
“I would like to enroll in a student exchange program for my last year.”
The counselor raised an eyebrow at that.
“You’ve never expressed an interest in it before.”
“Well, now I do.”
Cold as ever, the man thought, slightly sweating.
“Fine. What country are you interested in?”
“France.”
The older man stared at him for a little while, and then took a file out of his desk when he realized that the son of Bruce Wayne wouldn’t offer any explanations.
“Do you have some basics in French.”
Damian scoffed.
“I’m fluent.”
The counselor — Mr. Tyler — stood up and make his way to the copy machine behind him.
After the copy was made, he handed him a sheet of paper and a form.
“Ok, here is the list of schools that are included in our exchange program, the cities they are in, and their contact information if you need to know more. And here is the form that you have to submit to me before the end of the year. It would need your and your legal guardian’s signature. There will also be a test when-”
“I know that already.”
“Alright, then. That’s all. Have a good evening Mr. Wayne.”
Damian didn’t even wait for Mr. Tyler to finish his sentence before he was out of the office.

Ladybug winced as she got hit on her left side. Three months since they got back from Gotham — it was now August and almost the end of the summer break — and the Akumas has been attacking twice a week for a month now.
This one was strong, too. It was a boxer who has lost an important match for their career and Hawkmoth took advantage of his wrath.
She was happy that she took the martial art classes because she was better at evading him and attacking him, but the guy was a professional and she was still an amateur.
Chat Noir was fairing pretty well too, considering he didn’t take classes like her. Just as she had thought, his schedule was too full to add anything else, and he told her that he was already taking fencing classes.
In the three months since their return to France, Ladybug still hasn’t told him about her soulmate. She had tried, several times, but every time she lost the courage to tell him.
She was so scared of losing him.
It was irrational, she knew, Chat Noir was her partner, and he told her that he would always be her friend and all, but there was still this lingering fear that prevented her to tell him.
Tikki has scolded her every single time she got cold feet.
She hated it when her kwami scolded her. It always made her feel like she was a little girl.
She must have gotten a little too lost in her thought because she didn’t see the next hit coming.
It came right on her left cheekbone, making her gasp in pain. She also felt her eye sting, making it tear up.
“Ladybug!”
In seconds, Chat Noir had kicked the Akuma away, taking her face in his hand.
“Ladybug, are you ok? Are you hu- Your… Your eye… It’s green.”
The spotted hero froze. The sting in her eye must have been her contact falling.
She could feel the panic rise. This was not how she wanted Chat to find out.
“Later, Chat. I’ll explain that after the fight.”
He nodded, but she could see that he was tensed.
After that, more determined than before to end the fight, they found the akumatized item, destroyed it, and Ladybug could finally cast the Miraculous Cure.
Which, thankfully, put her contact back on.
“Ladybug…”
She looked at her partner, who was even tenser than before.
“Let’s recharge and meet at the usual spot. Five minutes won’t be enough for this conversation.”
Chat nodded and disappeared to recharge.
Ladybug found a safe place and detransformed, handing a macaron to Tikki, who was scowling at her.
“See, Marinette? I told you to tell him! But no! You were too scared and look where we are! Chat Noir is not stupid, he knows exactly what your eye means, and now he will think that you don’t respect him enough to tell him that you found your soulmate!”
“I know, Tikki! I. Know.” she snapped.
The little kwami glared at her before eating a bit of her macaron.
Marinette sighed, rubbing her face.
“I’m sorry, okay? I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have snapped at you like this. I know that I should have told Chat Noir waaaaaaay before now. I know. He will probably hate me now, and I don’t blame him. Whatever happens next is my fault.”
Tikki sighed and swallowed the last bit of the sweet.
“I’m sorry too, Marinette. I shouldn’t have been pressuring you like that. Yes, you had to tell him, but it should have been on your own terms, and at your pace, not mine. With Chat Noir’s previous behavior, I get why you’re scared about telling him. But, I think it’s going to be ok.” she flew to her chosen’s face, putting her little hand — paw? — on the designer’s cheek. “You and Chat Noir make a good team. He may brood for a while, but he will always be by your side.”
Marinette nodded, eyes a little glassy.
“You’re right.” she took a deep breath. “Tikki, spots on!”
Tumblr media
When Ladybug made it to their usual spot, Chat Noir was already here. His back was facing her, and the red-clothed hero could hear her own heartbeat. She was so nervous that she could feel knots in her stomach, and she thought for a moment that she was going to empty it right here.
It took her a moment and taking a few deep breaths to calm her nerves enough to call her partner.
“Chat.”
Finally, he turned, looking at her right in the eyes. He didn’t say anything, waiting for her explanations.
She couldn’t look at him in the eyes any longer, so she chose to look past his shoulder.
“Chat… I met my soulmate.”
He was silent for a moment, and his pained expression was like a knife in the guts.
“When did you meet him?”
She wanted to tell him that it didn’t matter, but she couldn’t lie to him any longer.
She wanted to laugh. She had hated Lila because she was a liar, and here she was, lying to her own partner for three months. She was no better than Rossi.
“I met him three months ago.”
“And you only tell me now?!” he yelled. “No, you didn’t even tell me. I had to find out because you lost your fucking contact!”
She flinched at his voice. She knew that he would react like that.
“I’m so sorry Chat. I’ve been trying to tell you. Every time we saw each other I tried. But I was so scared of your reaction.”
He looked at her with such hateful eyes she wanted to cry. But then, his eyes and his expression softened.
“Ok. I get it. I get why you were scared. You probably didn’t want to hurt me more than your rejections ever did.”
She nodded.
The cat-themed hero let out a laugh, but it didn’t have any joy in it.
“And here I was, firmly believing you and I were soulmates… You told me again and again that it was how it worked, that we would know already if we were… But did I listen? No.”
He shook his head.
“If anything, I’m the one that was hurting myself all this time. I’ve really got tunnel vision with you, Ladybug.”
He tapped her hand, giving her a small smile.
“I’m sorry I yelled at you. I… I’ll be fine. I think. It will take time, but I’ll be fine.”
He hugged her and she hugged him back tightly.
“I’ll see you later, then.”
And then, he disappeared.
That night, when she got a video call from Robin, she was on the verge of tears. Relieved that this secret was finally out — for at least one person, it killed her to have another big secret to keep from her friends and family — and worried about her partner.
Robin’s bluntness about her tears actually made her laugh and made her forget for a moment.
Marinette smiled as Robin told her something stupid that Red Hood did on their last patrol.
And she thought, then, that Chat and she would be alright.

Exchanges and Compromises - Chapter 12
It was decided then that the Talon - Dick Grayson - should accompany Jason to the Wayne Manor. The Oracle has decided that being the only one without 'attachment', i.e. normal people's identity that could be used against them.
The pretty little kitten's name, Jason eventually found out, was Tim Drake. And he would be providing one of the exit strategies. His home, apparently, was right next to the Wayne Manor. His words about knowing of losing parents through violence only made sense after Jason googled the name, and discovered the news article on the kidnapping and murder of Jack and Janet Drake, Tim's parents. It was apparently quite a news back then, only Jason never heard of it since he was already residing in Eth
He was right when he guessed - mostly through his manner and speech - that Tim Drake was rich. The Drake House - although smaller than the Wayne Manor - was still bigger than most homes in the suburbs that Jason knew of. Plus there was a massive yard, sky-high fence, several garages, a greenhouse, and a garden.
And then there were the tunnels.
Tim said that according to the Waynes' side of the architecture, the tunnels tend to lead to nowhere, and were not sturdy enough to be explored. Tim, however, had explored the tunnels when he was really little - as in ten-year-old 'little' and discovered that most were natural tunnels and have exits.
"I hope you've explored with someone who's like, my size." Jason reminded him just as they laid down the plans to him.
Tim glared at him top-to-bottom and then glared at Dick.
"Yeeeah... he's definitely not my size." Jason pointed out. Dick might have been muscular, but more on the lean side. Jason was built like a brick house and a few inches taller and wider than Dick.
"If it's any consolation, I didn't need to squeeze through anything when I went," Dick told him.
"I'll map the dimensions of the exits, anyway, just in case. We went with cameras back then." Tim said. "And now that we've covered the exits, how about the entrance? Would you rather walk right up there and say something along the line of, 'hey, I'm here to deliver the next Wayne heir. And by the way, you owed Talia Al Ghul some child support, but on the bright side, you won't need to pay 'em anymore,'?"
"Yeah, that sounded like a really quick way to get into an altercation." Jason retorted.
"I advise you, Tim, to take them there. Sort of like safety in numbers scenario - whatever happened, the Waynes won't be able to... make Jason and Damian 'disappear' because someone else already knew of their presence in Gotham." Barbara advised. "I've put the articles on stand-by, and shall have Vicky Vale start sniffing around by one week."
"We've got Grayson here as an extra pair of watchful eyes, so to speak. I don't think they'll do anything dramatic." Jason reminded. "Also, if they think they could kill me and take Damian just like that, they might be in for a surprise. Damian isn't... easily persuaded through blood and gore." He stopped short of accidentally revealing that the 'training' he and Damian returned from when they discovered the death of Ra's and Talia at the Algol Island had been Damian's 'training' in death and destruction. Colloquially referred to as the 'Year of the Blood', Damian was sent to retrieve a number of relics from around the world; most held in private collections by colonists who had acquired said relics from native people by force. Combine 'acquisition' and 'force', it was safe to reason that said 'colonists' would have had armies protecting the relic. And Damian had gone through them fairly easily.
And bloodily.
But that was not something Jason would reveal. It would be up to Damian's discretion - later or never - to tell his father. Surely he would not wish to have such thing revealed to a group of people calling themselves 'heroes'.
"I'm in favor of the more the merrier, really. In spite of me being the so-called 'extra' pair of eyes, Tim Drake has higher visibility when it comes to... well... the common people..." Dick remarked. "There might not need to be blood and gore in the immediate future. Plus, I'm not there as a Talon."
"You're there as Damian's guard, the White Ghost. Anyone familiar with the lores surrounding the Al Ghuls would not suspect a thing..." Jason started.
"Can I be the blue ghost, instead?" Dick wanted to know, grinning impishly.
Tim, too, was grinning impishly.
"What," Jason growled, suddenly realized that he was being played.
"I kinda liked blue better than white, y'know?" Dick replied.
"You're not taking this seriously, are you?"
"Oh, I am. I mean, there's a kid's life on the line; a lot more money than I'd ever seen if they were in the form of unpopped corn kernels; heritage; people of Gotham, etc, etc... why wouldn't I take this seriously?" Dick replied as he walked away from the table. "But I still think I look better in blue, right?" he added, pulling out a set of costumes from the cabinets. It was modeled after Jason's costume - "to have a more cohesive look between us," Dick had said. And it was in blue, whilst Jason's was in green.
He groaned exasperatedly. "There is no blue ghost in our ranks..."
"Well, they don't need to know that, do they?" Dick reasoned.
Jason glared at Tim for help. But the boy shrugged, "he's had that made since the day you came. He actually has several sets of those... He said your outfit made for pure awesome day clothes. I, too, worry about his fashion sense."
"Why." Jason partly wanted to know, partly wanted to know what the hell he'd done in the past that landed him with the Marx brothers right there. His costume would work well for the desert - where the Al Ghul's strongholds were mostly at; the jungle surrounding the Al Ghul Island where Damian and Talia would reside during the summer months; or in combat. For daily use, however, Jason would have worn normal suits. "For the love of all things mighty, you folks didn't look through my suitcase, did you?"
"Oh, we know of the suits. The normal people suits, don't worry. I have those made for Dick, too - in blue as per his insistence." Oracle intoned. "And no, Richard, you are not wearing costumes when you walk to the Waynes' front door."
Thank god for the voice of reason.
"Aww... buuuut, it will be more impressive!" Dick wailed, dead-set looked crestfallen, and gave puppy-dog eyes toward Oracle. Jason sighed again. For what seemed like the umpteenth time of the day.
"No means no, Dick. Now, if you'd come up straight from the desert and whatnot, that wouldn't be so strange. But you - and by 'you' I meant Jason and Damian - arrived in Gotham more than a week ago and stayed at the Ritz, 'fer cryin' out loud!" Oracle snapped back.
"Ritz this ain't, but I agree, if we've stayed at the Ritz, there would be questions as to why hasn't anyone seen us. My costume isn't exactly made for urban living." Jason pointed out. Dick was still sulking, but it looked like he - thankfully - finally conceded.
"Fine, I'll wear the monkey suits..." he grumbled. Jason mouthed a 'thank you' toward the projection.
"Okay! Next, backstory excluding the fact that... Talia and Ra's' being murdered and stuff - that what you're planning to say right, Jason?" Oracle continued, ignoring Dick's whines.
"Yes, there's no point in hiding it since Wayne would want to know who the mother was, and we have set out news stating Ra's and Talia Al Ghul being killed in an airplane crash," Jason told her.
"I've seen that news and marked all the news portals that mentioned them. I would like you two to keep an eye on Bane's reaction, as minute as they might be. Dick?"
"Got it. If he as much as breathe wrong in Damian's direction, we kill him." Dick replied. To Tim's and Jason's withering glare, he demanded, "what?"
"Why can't we just have Tim accompanying me, anyway?" Jason finally blurted. "He could jeopardize the whole thing."
"No, he's not. He's just pulling that one out of his ass. He's not gonna kill anybody, right Dick?" Oracle prompted. "Plus, it would be fairly odd if Tim Drake accompanies you, as he himself is quite a well-known individual within the city."
"Hhh... alright..." Jason still grumbled but decided to let it go for now. There were far more important objectives to be had.
"I much prefer Grayson to be with us as well, Jason." Damian suddenly piped up. He has been sitting there, at the head of the table, watching the processions. "With most adult's predisposition to undermine non-adults, Grayson's presence there could deter anyone from trying mischief right away." he reasoned. "Timothy, while I daresay have sufficient combat skills when required, has the benefit of being a public persona while being a child and thus would not come across as strange that I - as a child as well - should come to him first and foremost for assistance."
"Why, thanks, Damian. I think..." Tim replied.
"That is... quite an interesting psychological insight, and validated our plan, I think," Oracle remarked after a few seconds of silence. "Okay, gentlemen? Shall we get the plan rolling, then?"
"We shall," Damian replied. "I cannot wait to see how my father will react."

-> Takes place after the events of Pennyworth Rip after Damian walks out crying. Wallace awaits Damian outside Mercy Hall in attempt to comfort Damian.
Strictly Confidential
It was chilly, but not cold enough to make him shiver. He only shuddered slightly when he was caught in a path of a cold gust of a wind. He stuffed his hands into his sweater.
Wallace took out his phone to look at the time. The phone's blue light illuminated his face in the dark as he turned it on. It read 12:43 AM. He turned it on as quickly as he turned it off and slipped it back into the pocket of his sweater.
He sighed. He was growing impatient waiting. It was already past midnight, almost 1 in morning and he hadn't seen him. "Maybe he entered through the window", he thought. He didn't seem to like doors very much-or at least use them as often like an actual human being. He wasn't exactly your average human being either. But that couldn't be it, he had been waiting just inside the gates of Mercy Hall near the entrance for nearly two hours and hadn't heard anything.
"Why am I even here", he thought.
He wasn't even on good terms with Damian. It was just months ago when Damian had fired him from the Teen Titans for working with Deathstroke. They hadn't really worked out the argument they had about the used-to-be-secret prison deep under his feet. Not to mention Damian's nasty personality. Yet here he was.
Wallace shook his head and brushed away those thoughts, "he might not be my friend, but he needs one. Especially right now."
Wallace was leaning on the concrete fence near the gate. He looked up at the sign of Mercy hall. The dim lights of the buildings around him shone back at him. It made it clearer to see the graffiti that covered the building, he wondered how much time this building had been abandoned before it got to this state. He was stopped mid thought as he heard footsteps approaching.
Even though he was waiting for two hours now and was expecting Damian any minute now, he was startled. He quickly adjusted himself with his arms crossed in order to make an impression.
The rusty gates of Mercy Hall groaned as Damian pushed them opened. Wallace stood there and watched as Damian turned around towards the gates again and creaked them shut, his was face completely emotionless.
Damian pivoted again and approached the doors of the weathered building as Wallace stood there awkwardly. "Had Damian not noticed him?", now he was really worried. That wasn't very Damian-like. Damian was quick to react and picked up on anything faster than anyone else in the team.
"Damian," his words came out intense and heavy, maybe a little too heavy.
Damian halted abruptly, perhaps he was as alarmed as Wallace was when he heard him approaching moments before. He spun around quickly to look at Wallace.
He first caught glimpse of Damian's glowing green eyes. They carried guilt and sorrow, at least more than usual. His eyes were moist and red, Wallace concluded Damian had taken so long to get back because he was grieving Alfred alone.
Damian was wearing a tuxedo. He looked disheveled. His bow was a little sideways. His white dress shirt spilling on one side of his dress pants. Not to mention Damian's attire was dirty as if he had been laying on the ground. His hair was extremely unkempt, and Damian wasn't the type to leave it that way if he could avoid it. He had dignity in his looks, at least that was what Wallace thought.
"What are you doing here Wallace?" Damian interrogated as his brows immediately furrowed the moment he caught glimpse of him. Damian also wore his signature scowl although it was more severe than usual.
"It was getting late, I was worried you know, maybe you were in trouble-"
"I am highly capable of taking care of myself Wallace," his stern words cut through the air, "besides it isn't the first time I arrive this late. Now tell me, why are you here?," Damian demanded.
Of course he would see through his lie. Wallace was hoping Damian would slowly confess it himself even though Damian wasn't the type of person to express his feelings. He would have to bring it up himself, he wasn't looking forward to this.
"I heard...about Alfred...Barry mentioned it." That was also a lie, Wallace had overheard Damian talking to Bruce over the phone about the hospital opening in Gotham in name of Alfred. If he told Damian that, he would he think Wallace was spying on him and trust him even less then he already did.
Damian glanced sideways, "I'm fine." His words came out confident and strong, but Wallace knew enough about Damian to know that was just a facade to cover up what he was actually feeling. Plus as he said it, Wallace noticed Damian squeezing his fingers into a fist as if to somehow concentrate all his emotions there instead. As a matter fact, now that he looked at Damian's fists they were bloody. He had punched something, or someone.
Damian swirled around and set off to the doors again. Wallace instinctively grabbed his shoulder to pull him back, he wasn't gonna let Damian wallow in self-pity. He had to maintain a hard grip on his shoulder to keep him from leaving, "Dude, you aren't 'fine'. How can you be?! Alfred HAD to mean something to you! I bet your butler took care of you more than your Dad-"
Damian snapped his head back towards him, and forcefully pushed Wallace's hand off his shoulder. A shadow covered most of Damian's face, his eyes gleamed in the darkness with irradiation and grief. "I SAID I WAS FINE WALLACE. And Alfred isn't a butl-nevermind," he paused as if to curse himself out for letting himself show his true emotions, "I have some files I need to review before our mission tomorrow, so leave me be."
Wallace hesitated, and then gave up with another sigh. He stood outside for a few minutes before entering.
He guessed that he would have to let Damian wallow in self pity after all.
Wallace was waiting for this moment for days. Red Arrow had gone back to Seattle for the weekend, he guessed she was feeling homesick. Roundhouse had just minutes ago went to the bookstore downtown to stock up on some manga, Wallace knew he would be there for hours. And Crush and Djinn went to get groceries, they would also take awhile. Crush always got caught up taking Djinn sight-seeing to spend more time with her and Djinn obliviously followed.
But now that the time had come, he was reluctant. He was far too tired from the missions they had the past few days and was eager to fall into his bed and scroll mindlessly through social media. Also Damian wasn't the most exciting person to hang around. He could barely stand him these few days and all he wanted to do was stay as far away from him as possible. He could still hear Damian's past snarky remarks ringing in his head from the previous days.
"Idiot! Why did you let him get away?! I selected you to be apart of this group because you were fast, yet you let him out your sight!" That was just one of the many comments Damian had made at Wallace.
But that was exactly why he couldn't let leave Damian alone. Damian was projecting his grief through anger and violence more recently. The criminals falling the most victim to it. The team had just about had it with Damian's attitude last night, Damian's anguish was tearing the team apart as if they weren't already dysfunctional to begin with.
Wallace made it down the hall, passing the dorms of his teammates and each step closer hearing fists punching worn leather even louder. The sun peaked through the graffiti stained windows of Mercy hall. It looked almost serene, but it wasn't, and it was just going to start looking more grim.
He stopped at the door that lead to their makeshift gym. He wavered, "was he really going to try again as if his first encounter hadn't gone as planned?"
Thunk! Thunk! Thunk!, Wallace now could clearly hear Damian pounding the punching bag out of existence. He turned the knob to reveal to a sweat-covered Damian straining to continue bashing the poor punching bag. He was almost more concerned for the punching bag than Damian.
Through the corner of Damian's eye, he spotted Wallace but continued hitting. It was confirmed, Damian wasn't gonna make an effort to communicate with him, he would have to.
Wallace walked up to the punching bag next to Damian, and joined him. The sound of their fists hammering their punching bags echoed off the walls. It was like that for another 30 minutes until Wallace found the courage try to communicate with Damian again.
"You've been here since six in the morning. Aren't you tired?" Wallace vocalized over their fists hitting leather. Wallace's fists were already sore, he didn't understand how Damian had been doing this for hours.
Damian didn't respond. Wallace knew Damian was playing dumb. Damian knew why he was really here. He knew why Wallace decided to join him when no one really seemed to care or notice his frustration but wasn't too interested to find out.
Wallace had enough, he was tired of playing nice. And he was gonna make Damian tell him. He was tired of Damian brooding on his own. He wouldn't let him become like his old man. Wallace quickly stepped in front of Damian just in time to grab his receiving punch. "QUIT IT!" Wallace yelled.
After he said it, he immediately flinched readying himself for a reaction from Damian.
Damian instead frowned, his eyes filled with anger. He pulled his fist from Wallace's grip and walked a few steps forward away from Wallace before sitting down on the floor and pushing himself through sit ups. He remained non-verbal, but his presence said otherwise.
Sweat continued to bead down his face and fall on the mat as his back touched the floor. His workout gear was doused in sweat. Dumb ass was gonna pass out of exhaustion before Wallace even got his next words out.
Wallace headed over towards the mini fridge nearby and grabbed two water bottles. One for him, and one for the asshole on the floor doing sit ups.
He continued to propel thoughts of giving up to the back of his head. He would try again, again, and again until Damian talked to him.
He threw the water bottle into Damian's lap as he sat up in the middle of his sit up, "At least drink some water," spouted Wallace. Damian threw another glare at him but accepted the cold refreshment.
Wallace opened his own water bottle, and chugged it down as Damian guardedly opened his own. There was a few moments of silence besides the sound of them drinking their water.
Wallace wondered how many more heavy moments of silence he was going to have endure until Damian was going to talk. He was already thinking of going back to his-
Suddenly, Damian unexpectedly broke the ice, "Alfred believed himself a genius but ultimately let himself be caught by Bane," Damian paused, Wallace couldn't tell if he did it to catch a breath or to think about what to say next, "he made himself vulnerable, and Bane took the opportunity to kill him. He should've tried to escape, he was skilled enough to do so. Yet he remained at my presence although I could've handled Bane or Thomas myself."
Damian looked down at the label of his empty water bottle as he toyed with it in his hands. Wallace could've sworn he could hear ants marching nearby, it was that silent. He sat through another moment of silence, but remained quiet, he was making progress, Damian was talking.
Wallace sat next to Damian, and as if to cue in Damian proceeded where he left off, "After Dick...Dick lost his memories, I thought myself...unaccompanied," Wallace could see how hard Damian was straining to express himself, "fortunately, I wasn't, Alfred was there. Alfred constantly tried to sneak trackers on me every time I left Gotham," a hint of a smirk tickled at the corner of his mouth, "But of course I always noticed them even before leaving the manor, but his effort was appreciated," Damian stared squarely at the concrete wall facing them.
Wallace joined him, he also starred blankly at the wall. The silence wasn't as suffocating anymore, and Damian's presence wasn't as defensive or over-guarded. Wallace started to relax around Damian as well.
What Damian said might've come across as incoherent rambling with no focus, but Wallace understood was he was trying to say-or avoid admitting.
Damian was frustrated, angry, mourning-experiencing a concoction of emotions. But most predominantly, feeling alone. A few months ago he lost Dick, Wallace knew because Wally had brought it up in one of their conversations. And now Damian had lost Alfred. Wallace figured that Alfred couldn't fill the shoes of Dick, but it was enough to keep Damian in his place. But Alfred was now gone too.
Batman hadn't checked on Damian for months and from what little Damian had brought up about Batman, it seemed like they weren't seeing each other eye-to-eye either. So Wallace guessed Batman wasn't exactly a spot of comfort for Damian and from what Wallace had heard going on Gotham he wasn't the best influence for Damian to be around anyways.
"I'm sorry man, I guess your feeling alone, right? You lost the people who you trusted the most." Wallace said as he continued to look at the concrete wall. He could've looked at Damian as he said this, but Wallace was talking about something sentimental and personal to Damian and Damian didn't do any of that. And honestly, he was a little terrified of how Damian would take his response even though it was apologetic.
Wallace sneaked a glance anyways, Damian continued to look at wall and blinked twice. As if his brain was grinding its gears attempting to take in the compassion it just received. Damian's face contorted into a grimace as he turned to look at Wallace.
"Why am I disclosing this with you?" Damian spat as he picked himself off the mat and took his first step towards the door. He held back mid-step and looked back at Wallace.
He glowered back at him and walked back to where Wallace sat. Damian stood in front of him in his alpha male stance. Shoulders back, chest puffed like he owned the place, well, he did-but that wasn't the point.
Damian had slipped back into his fierce and lethal persona yet again, "What we discussed today Wallace was strictly confidential," Damian said with his hands on hips as he bent down to Wallace's eye level. He lifted a finger at him, "if you speak to anyone about this, I will not hesitate to kick you off the team again, got it?"
Wallace was trying so hard to hold back his laughter. Seeing how much Damian was worked up simply because he got all mushy with him was hilarious. Wallace would definitely not forget this moment. He was afraid of laughing, it took a lot willpower to contain his laughter, so he settled for a nod instead.
Damian backed off, and looked at the ceiling like a electrician trying to figure out a problem with the wiring and then looked down at Wallace again, "I need to get ready for our briefing today for our mission tomorrow. I would work on your stance till then, your shoulders were too tense and your core wasn't engaged enough," Damian jabbed as he finally took off.
The moment Damian exited the gym, Roundhouse entered with a stack of manga in his hands. He looked back at back at Damian stomping out of sight. He looked at Wallace perplexed, "I just got back," he got closer to Wallace and whispered as if Damian was still in the room, "...what happened between you and Robin while I was out?"
Wallace outstretched his hand, Roundhouse quickly pulled Wallace up to his feet with his free hand, "Can't tell you man, its strictly confidential," he said mimicking Damian's know-it-all attitude.
Wallace picked up his and Damian's water bottle and threw it into the trash nearby. He smiled at Roundhouse, and then looked at the manga in his hands, he took a few off, "let me help you take these to your room."
Roundhouse smiled back, "Thanks dude! I knew I could always depend on you!"
They both walked out the gym, into the halls and towards Roundhouse's bedroom.
Roundhouse beamed confidently at Wallace, "Guess what?" Roundhouse started, "I got one of these bad boys for only 2 bucks! My haggling skills..." Roundhouse's voice trailed off as Wallace became preoccupied with the conversation he had only seconds ago with Damian.
He couldn't help but smile brightly, he had been working with Damian for almost an year and Damian had finally started opening up to him. And all it took was throwing a water bottle at the kid.
Damian definitely didn't tell him everything that had happened at the ceremony. He was hiding something, withholding information from him. But Wallace got something out of him nonetheless.
"Wallace! Are you listening?!" Roundhouse looked slightly upset and offended by Wallace's ignorance to their conversation.
"I heard you loud and clear Bro."
Let me know what you think! I am thinking about posting this on Ao3, but I am not sure, so any feedback would be nice!
This my first fan-fiction in like 5 years so excuse me if I am rusty. I just felt the need to write this because I've literally been mourning Alfred's death and frustrated about Damian being neglected yet again.
I hope this helps satisfy your frustrations for now at least.

Home [Chapter One]
Tumblr media
Author’s Note: I tried my best to switch my OC’s name out for Y/n. If I missed any my apologies just let me know and I’ll fix it. Hope you guys enjoy my new fic, Home!
                                                   --------------------- “Y/n!” Eddie shouted.
Y/n laughed as she sped up, running up the hill towards their farmhouse. The horses ran alongside her in the fenced in area. She giggled as she could feel Eddie closing in on her. Y/n took a quick turn and ran towards the chicken coop. She slowed down as she reached the coop. Breathing heavily, Y/n turned around to see Eddie slowing down. He was glaring at her.
“You cheated,” Eddie growled.
Y/n rolled her eyes. “You’re just mad that your younger girlfriend is just faster than you,” Y/n teased.
“I’m only older by six years!” Eddie shouted.
Y/n laughed again. “Six years is a lot for an old man,”
Her laughter faded as he lunged at her. A tiny squeak slipped out of her as he wrapped his arms around her waist. She tried to pry his arms off her, but he only pulled her back against his chest.
“Say you’re sorry,” Eddie said.
“Never,” Y/n laughed as she continued struggling trying to free herself.
“Why must you be so stubborn?” Eddie asked her.
“I’ve learned from the best,” Y/n said between clenched teeth.
The two continued to struggle for power until Y/n slipped her feet in between Eddie’s. He gasped and then swore as the two of them went crashing down into the mud. Y/n fell back against him laughing hysterically as Eddie had taken the brunt of the fall and most of the mud.
Eddie was quick to flip Y/n over and onto her back. Squishing her down in the mud. She groaned and looked up at her boyfriend.
“Was that necessary?” Y/n hissed.
“You wouldn’t stop laughing at me,” Eddie complained.
Y/n shook her head and she could feel the mud caking onto her hair. Eddie grinned, leaned down, and then kissed her. Y/n nibbled at his lips and he pulled away. He was grinning from ear to ear.
“How about we take this inside?” Eddie asked.
Y/n cocked an eyebrow at her boyfriend.
“I’ll race you,” she joked.
“You’ll pay for that one,” Eddie said as he jumped up to his feet.
Y/n let out a soft playful scream as he yanked her up and tossed her over his shoulder. He slapped his hand against her ass and she let out a small yelp.
“That’s not fair!” Y/n argued.
“You don’t play fair,” Eddie reminded her.
Y/n fell silent as Eddie carried her the rest of the way across the yard and up into their house. He kicked off his shoes and peeled off hers dropping them outside of the door where they would have to come back and hose their shoes down.
Their two dogs greeted them as Eddie stepped inside. Y/n called for her dogs to follow, but they only stood and watched as Eddie disappeared upstairs with her.
A very long hour later, Y/n came jogging down the stairs. She booped Cap and Sarge on their heads as she went over to the fridge. Her stomach was rumbling and dinner was calling her name. Y/n strained her ears as she heard the sound of tires on the gravel of their driveway.
“Someone’s here!” Y/n called up the stairs.
“I’m coming,” Eddie shouted back.
Y/n could hear Eddie running down the stairs and land right in the living room. She tossed the stuff for dinner on the stove.
“Y/n, you’re going to want to see this,” Eddie said.
Y/n wiped her hands on a dish towel and headed towards the front of the house. A black SUV sat parked. The two of them watched as a man in a black suit stepped out of the SUV. Three more doors opened and a bunch of figures stepped out of the vehicle.
“My boys,” Y/n said as she burst out of the house and onto the porch.
“Y/n!” Billy exclaimed as he finally set his eyes on her.
Y/n stepped off the steps and caught Billy as he threw himself at her. The other three boys ran up to join the hug. Y/n made sure to give them each individually a huge hug.
“What are you guys doing here?” Y/n asked.
“Miss Barnes, it’s good to see you again,” The voice said.
Y/n looked up as the man in the suit pushed back his sunglasses revealing himself as the one and only Bruce Wayne.
“Surprised you’d be caught dead out here, old man.” Y/n snarled.
Eddie pinched her side to silence her.
“Well, I knew if I’d call you wouldn’t answer,” Bruce admitted.
“Damn straight I wouldn’t have. Takes a lot of guts to show yourself around here,” Y/n snarled.
“Y/n,” Eddie sighed.
“Shut it, Brock,” Y/n growled.
Bruce gave Eddie a knowing look. Eddie sighed. Y/n wasn’t normally like this. She was sweet. Kind. Caring. Always had open arms every single person. Except for Bruce Wayne.
“Listen, I know that you and I have a lot of unresolved issues,” Bruce said.
“That’s barely touching it, but sure we’ll go with that,” Y/n growled.
“Can we talk?” Bruce asked.
“I’m not inviting you into my home,” Y/n barked.
“Y/n!” Eddie shouted.
Y/n tossed her boyfriend a look over her shoulder. He fell silent. Eddie knew better than to argue with her. This wasn’t a battle he wanted to pick with her. Not when it came to Bruce.
“I’ll make this quick. Some things have come up in Gotham. The boys are no longer safe,” Bruce began.
“Oh so now that Jason and Tim are dead, now you realize that?” Y/n snarled.
Eddie noted the way that a look of pain crossed Bruce’s face. He felt bad for the guy. He had lost two sons. Lived a dangerous life. Ever since Y/n lost Jason and then Tim it was never the same between the two of them. Y/n couldn’t forgive Bruce. Eddie didn’t think she’d ever been able to.
“There’s no reason to be hurtful,” Bruce said coldly.
“Trust me that’s me being nice,” Y/n said.
The four young teens looked at each other. They knew what was going on. They weren’t dumb. All of them understood why Y/n was so upset. She was in love with Jason. He was her first love. Damian was so sure growing up that Y/n was going to end up as his sister. When Jason died, it was like Y/n’s whole world had crashed down.
Y/n had become dark and scary. She hardly talked to anybody. Damian wasn’t sure of Eddie at first, but he sure brought Y/n around. He made her happy. And that’s all that mattered to Damian. He loved Y/n and he didn’t want her to be hurting anymore.
“I need you to sign this,” Bruce said pulling out a folded piece of paper out of his pocket.
“What is it?” Y/n asked.
“Legal custody of the four boys. Clark already signed the papers, as did I, and so did the Vasquez’s,” Bruce said.
Eddie and Y/n only stared at Bruce.
“I’m sorry, what?” Eddie said in shock.
“You’re right. I lost Jason. And then turned around and lost Tim. If Dick was young enough to be placed in your care he would be, but he’s an adult now and can protect himself. These four can’t. If they stay with us they will only end up being hurt or killed to hurt the rest of us. I can’t do that. I can’t lose any more of my children,” Bruce explained.
“So, what? You expect me and Eddie to just drop our whole lives and take care of the boys because you’ve finally come to the realization that the life you live and lead isn’t safe for them?” Y/n snarled.
“Yes,” Bruce simply said.
It took everything out of Y/n not to slap Bruce across his smug face.
“What made you think that Eddie and I would even be willing to do so?” Y/n demanded from him.
“You’re the only safe choice that I have,” Bruce told her.
“What about Clark’s mom? I’m sure Martha would love to take care of the boys. Or how about Detective Gordon? He could give them a good life and protect them,” Y/n said.
The four young teens watched as Y/n and Bruce squared off. Jon was starting to grow concerned that Y/n wasn’t going to take them in. That she was going to say no and they would have to go to Bruce’s last resort which was the orphanage.
“Martha is too old to be running after four teens. Gordon has his own kids to take care of, plus he’s in the thick of my mess just as much as I am,” Bruce said.
Y/n scoffed, rolling her eyes, and crossed her arms over her chest in defiance.
“Y/n,” Jon finally piped up.
Y/n looked down at the dark haired boy.
“Bruce will take us to the orphanage if you don’t take us in. You know they’ll separate all of us if that happens. Please don’t let him do that to us,” Jon pleaded.
“Are the papers actually for custody or for guardianship?” Y/n asked him. “There’s a major difference,”
“Custody. We are signing over all legal rights to you. If and once you sign the papers you are legally their parents. Which means you’ll be in charge of Damian’s portion of Wayne Enterprises until he is of age, you have rights to all of their bank accounts that I have their college tuition set aside, and a hefty bank account for you and Eddie as well to live more than comfortably for the rest of your lives while you take care of them,” Bruce explained.
“Which means you and Clark will have no control over Damian and Jon? And that unless I permit you can’t see them,” Y/n said.
Bruce nodded. Y/n outstretched her hand.
“Give me the paperwork,” Y/n said.
The four boys watched her practically rip the custody papers out of Bruce’s hands. She quickly signed her name on the lines that were marked with a purple highlighter. Once she had signed on all of the correct lines, Y/n moved so she was standing in front of all of the boys.
“Just because you have handed over the custody to the most important boys in my life doesn’t mean that I forgive you. I still hate you for what you did to me. To Jason. To Tim. And I swear to you that I will make you pay for it,” Y/n said her words dripping with poison.
Bruce straightened his back. He ripped his gaze away from Y/n and glanced down at Damian. Damian looked so much like him. His son was fifteen. Just nine months shy of turning sixteen. Bruce noticed the way he stood right next to Y/n. Holding her hand in his and defiantly looking at him waiting for his father to say something to him.
“Be on your best behavior. And take care of each other,” Bruce said before turning on his heel and heading back to his SUV.
The six of them stood there and watched as Bruce backed out of the driveway. Finally, Y/n turned around to face Eddie and their sons. She wasn’t sure what to say or what to do.
“Are you guys hungry?” Eddie asked finally breaking the silence.
“Duh, I can always eat,” Freddy said.
Eddie and Y/n rounded the boys up and brought them inside. The couple worked alongside each other whipping up a large meal for the four growing boys. As the boys sat around the table eating, Eddie pulled Y/n out of the dining room and into their office. Y/n knew what was coming. Eddie closed the door.
“You didn’t even ask me if this is what I wanted,” Eddie pointed out.
“Last I knew, we weren’t married, this was my house, and my decision to make,” Y/n snapped.
Eddie sighed. “Four teenage boys is a lot,”
“Yeah, and what’s your point? You’ve known even before we started dating that I was close with all four of those boys. I made it abundantly clear that I would drop anything for them. Which I have. You’ve come with me to rescue them on bad fights,” Y/n reminded him.
“It was different when we had the chance to take them back home to their actual parents,” Eddie argued.
Y/n crossed her arms over her chest and she clenched her teeth. Eddie had pissed her off. He knew that. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the kids, but he and Y/n had already been through so much together. They were friends before they had started dating. He saw the emotional turmoil that she went through after the death of Jason.
He was there for her when Thanos had happened and she had lost a huge chunk of her family. The two of them had gone through a lot. Their relationship was strained for a long time after the snap. But they worked together. He loved her. Eddie could see himself spending the rest of his life with her, but her not including him on making such a big decision rubbed him the wrong way. He didn’t really care that they were here and that Y/n took them in. The point was that she didn’t even discuss this with him.
“Did you want me to send them to the orphanage?” Y/n asked him.
“Of course not!” Eddie hissed.
“Then what is your fucking problem?” Y/n asked.
“You and I have been through so much shit together. I just thought you would have had the common courtesy to at least ask me if I was okay with you taking custody of the boys,” Eddie explained to her.
“You’re right,” Y/n began.
Eddie looked at her in confusion. He felt like this was a trap.
“The two of us have been through a lot of shit together, but you would think by now that you would have learned that I don’t ask for permission. Especially when it comes to those boys. If you don’t like it, then pack up and leave,” Y/n said.
Eddie’s eyes widened. “You’d break up with me because of this argument?”
“Those boys came first before you. I’ve made it clear that I love those boys. I’ve watched them all grow up. I will always put them first. If you don’t like that and can’t handle it then don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” Y/n said.
Before Eddie could even try and argue with her, she was pushing past him and leaving him in the office. He could hear in the dining room talking with the boys. Eddie loved her. But could this be too much for them? This could be their breaking point.
Forcing a smile on his face, Eddie stepped out of the office and headed back into the dining room. Jon was in the middle of telling Y/n some wild story. His hands were waving all over the place. Freddy and Billy were arguing over who was the better superhero between Y/n’s parents. Eddie caught Damian’s eye and the young teen was glaring at Eddie.
Eddie and Damian stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity until Y/n asked for Damian’s opinion. Damian slowly turned his attention off of Eddie and onto Y/n. Eddie sighed. Venom was growing restless. He hated when Y/n and Eddie argued. Which Eddie didn’t understand because 99% of the time Venom always sided with Y/n.
Apologize!
No.
Y/n didn’t have to ask for your permission.
I know that. But we’re in a relationship. It would have been nice if she at least considered my opinion.
Bleck! You humans and your emotions disgust me.
Yeah. Yeah. If anyone is a bleeding heart, it’s you.
Take that back!
Eddie only smiled to himself and fell quiet. The teens were rowdy. Y/n was laughing. Eddie had to admit this was the happiest he had seen her in a long time.
“Hey, Y/n, we don’t have anything except for what we could shove into our backpacks,” Billy sudden brought up.
“Mhmm, you’re right. That’s going to be a problem,” Y/n said.
“We could always go shopping tomorrow!” Freddy shouted.
“You all have school,” Y/n said.
“So? We all could afford to skip a day,” Damian shot back.
“Yeah, come on Y/n, we could make a day of it. Get everything that we need in one big day of shopping,” Jon added.
Y/n sighed. Y/n glanced up at Eddie. He gave her a soft smile and nodded.
“Also, it’s not like you don’t have the money. You know Bruce set you up for life. Buying us clothes, toys, electronics, or whatever else we want isn’t going to break you,” Damian piped up.
“Well, I was thinking of using that money to add to my house. Y’all will be sharing a room for a while,” Y/n said.
“Do both. You can afford it,” Freddy grinned.
“Yeah, come on Y/n, it will be so much fun. It will be our first big day as a new family,” Billy pleaded.
“Alright, we can go. But on a few conditions,” Y/n gave in.
“Name them!” The boys exclaimed together.
“You all must be on your best behavior. You stick with us and no running off. Clothes first before anything else. No whining. No complaining. You will try on your clothes and I get to veto anything that I don’t deem appropriate and then your butts go right back to school the following day,” Y/n listed.
The boys looked at each other and nodded. “Deal!”
Y/n rolled her eyes. Everyone chit chatted while they finished dinner. Once they were done eating the boys helped take care of the leftovers, did dishes, and then split into pairs into the one spare bedroom and into the office that they would make into a bedroom for the time being.
After Y/n got all of them showered, in pajamas, and their teeth brushed she left them to talk amongst themselves until they fell asleep. She disappeared upstairs into her bedroom. Eddie was already in bed. Y/n changed into her pajamas, did her nightly routine, and then climbed into bed next to Eddie.
‘Y/n,” Eddie began.
“I’m tired of fighting. We can talk tomorrow,” Y/n said and without giving him a chance to respond she turned off her light and turned away from him. Eddie had hurt her feeling and she wasn’t sure just how they were going to bounce back from this one.

Batboys Sports
So quick thing this post is inspired by @jaybird-rednerd Jason Todd Hockey AU Moodborad and Headcacons. BTW I love them! Anyway I had I thought on what the other batboys along with Jason would play/do. Hopefully this isn’t stealing or anything cause that’s not where I was going with this.
Yell Leader is what my school calls the male cheerleaders. So when it comes up that’s what it is. I don’t know if that’s the right name because my knowledge of cheer or any sport really is small. 😅
Dick Grayson - Gymnastics and Yell Leader/Mascot
Gymnastics 🤸‍♂️
Dick has the coordination, strength, flexibility, and balance to be an amazing gymnast.
Plus he would look great in the uniform.
He would most likely compete in the rings, floor exercise, and the pommel horse.
Tumblr media
Yell Leader/Mascot 👏
This one could go either way. He could be a yell leader (male cheerleader) or the school’s Mascot.
As a yell Leader he would be helping with stunting and pumping up the crowd.
He would be tumbling along with flips.
He would probably volunteer to help teach a kid’s tumbling class.
Now as the mascot, he would ham it up.
The whole point is to get the crowd and the team pumped up.
He would probably be doing silly dances, cartwheels, and anything the suit allowed him to.
This spirt and energy would make him good at both.
Tumblr media
Jason Todd - Hockey and Volleyball
Hockey 🏒
Okay so I’m not going to be able to write this one without copying @jaybird-rednerd so here’s the link to theirs. Go check it out. It’s really good!!!
Tumblr media
Volleyball 🏐
The gym teacher was out sick one fateful day of his freshman year of high school. And boys volleyball coach was the sub
Volleyball was the choosen activity during class
Jason got into the volleyball game and he seemed to be a natural at it
The coach didn’t hesitate and told him he should tryout for the men’s volleyball team when the time rolled around
Jason was all for it. He would practice when ever he got the chance and when tryout rolled around Jason made it
When Jason grew taller and gained more muscle mass, he became a force to reckoned with.
You didn’t want to be on the other side of his spike
He was best at spiking and blocking simply because of his strength and jumping ability
Tumblr media
Tim Drake - Chess Boxing and Baseball
Chess Boxing 🥊♟
He is having to explain that chess boxing is a real sport ever time he brings it up
Low key annoys him
When he first found out about chess boxing, he was immediately interested.
He was good a chess and he knew how to box thanks to Jason.
Shortly afterwards he began practicing both more and began to compete.
Baseball ⚾️
At first he wasn’t sure if baseball was his sport
Once he stated, he found out quickly that swing a bat felt as natural as breathing
He was Gotham High School’s (I have no clue what the school is actually called) star hitter.
He had the best batting average of any other players to walk the halls of the school
When he wasn’t hitting, he could be found in the right field.
He had a killer throw and was great at catching. Hitting into right typically resulted in an out.
Tim thanked Damian for his throwing abilities. He would throw things at Damian to get him out of his. After so many year the skill had to come in handy.
Tumblr media
Damian Wayne - Fencing and Badminton
Fencing 🤺
This kids has a odd obsession with swords and sword play.
VS letting him have any more real swords Bruce signed him up fencing classes
Damian hasn’t looked back since
He typically defetes his opponents quickly
Fencing requires speed and strategy which Damian has
Very rarely does he meet someone he struggles to beat until... well that’s for later
Tumblr media
Badminton 🏸
Damian was more forced into playing Badminton then anything
Original he wanted to play tennis but the boys tennis team was full, so the coach sent to the badminton coach
Damian tried out and made it but he was excited about it, until his first match
He was able to play singles and batminton was kinda of a smaller version of tennis
He quickly progressed and was the top badminton player in the school
When a spot on the tennis team opened open, the tennis coach wanted Damian on the team
Damian turned it down flat
Turns out badminton + Damian = a perfect combination

The Next Generations view
My name is Nathan Wayne Grayson
My name has a meaning for it in all 3 pieces. Nathan after my maternal great grandfather, Wayne for my Adoptive Paternal grandfather and Grayson my dad's last name. I am the next generation of the legendary ”Flying Grayson’s”
The nickname the press has given me since I was an infant is ”The Prince Of Gotham” I despise my nickname, I don't want to be looked at like that. I just want to be looked at as a regular 14-year-old boy. I suppose the nickname spans from who my parents are Dick and Barbara Grayson-formally Gordon. The adoptive son of Bruce Wayne and the police commissioner daughter. As much as I’d like to be normal my life is anything but normal. Ignoring the fact of WHO my family is it’s WHAT we are that makes us abnormal. I am the protege to the Dark Night, the legendary Robin. I followed in my father’s and Uncles footsteps. I started my training at age 10 and officially became Robin at age 11. My abilities include acrobatics and extraneous computer skills plus all the other skills it takes to be accepted as a Bat.
Want a rundown of what makes up my family? Here it is,
Dick Grayson, my father AKA Nightwing. I don’t always patrol with Batman, I’ll occasionally patrol my hometown of Bludhaven with him. I love him and look up to him but people often compare me to him because of our resemblance and sometimes that makes for a lot of pressure. But I can't be all that much like him, from what I've been told my dad was quite the ladies man. I can't flirt worth anything, the only girls I can talk to I'm either rated to or are my friend. Otherwise, I turn into a klutzy, stuttering mess My dad is super overbearing though, he coddles my sister and me to no end. Mom says when my sister was a baby she arrived back from patrol one night to find him rocking her and singing ”I’ll be watching you” which isn't creepy at all (note the sarcasm). And he will randomly just hug me and kiss my cheeks, even when we’re being Robin and Nightwing.....I’m almost 15 that's gotta stop.
Barbara Grayson- My mother, we’re really close. I will secretly admit that I’m a “mamas boy” but I can’t help that we have a really great bond. Maybe it spans from the fact that for the first 8 weeks of my life it was just her and I. Long story short they thought my dad was dead but he was actually undercover and had no clue my mom was even pregnant. She thinks I’m innocent and her “precious baby boy” like I said, I’m almost 15 my parents gotta accept that I’m growing up. My mom used to be Batgirl then when I was 4 she was shot by the Joker and became paralyzed from the waist down which transitioned her to Oracle. When I was 10 she had a chip inserted on her spine that made her regain the use of her legs. She now alternates between going out as Batgirl and Oracle stuff but mainly does Oracle now.
Leah Grayson: My 10-year-old younger sister. She looks like my mom, red hair and all. She wants to become a vigilante but Dad’s against it. My mom seems to be on the fence though and if she decides it’s okay she’ll convince my dad to let her. She’s -spunky for lack of a better word. My dad says she reminds him of my Uncle Jason when he was young which might be why he doesn’t want her to be a vigilante. It also explains why she’s Uncle Jay’s favorite
Tim Drake, My Uncle Tim is the vigilante known as Red Robin, he’s cool and understands my love for tech, he's kinda over obsessed with everything. He likes to research everything to the max and is always prepared for the situation ahead of everyone else ,whatever it may be.
Stephanie Drake, AKA Spoiler. My sister is my Uncle Jason’s favorite and I’m my Aunt Steph’s favorite. For as long as I can remember she’s loved me. We have a good bond and she spoils me (no pun intended)
Juliet Drake- My baby cousin, she’s 1 and is my little princess. She has me wrapped around her little finger. She has dirty blonde hair and big blue eyes, I love spending time with her and can’t wait to see what she becomes.
Jason Todd AKA Red Hood, my Uncle Jason and I have a -I guess you would call it a normal relationship. We aren’t close but we aren’t .....not close. I know he’d kill someone if they ever messed with me in other words. He sure doe’s spoil my sister though, in his eyes she can do no wrong.
Cassandra Cain AKA Black Bat, Aunt Cass is cool cause she helps me sneak behind my parent's backs and get away with stuff. I should’ve mentioned my Uncle Jay does too occassionally.
Damian Wayne, AKA NightGoul Uncle Dami is....interesting. We’re only 13 years apart so he hates it when I call him “Uncle” even though he only refers to me as “Nephew” seriously I think he’s only ever called me by name a handful of times. I like to call him Uncle Damian just yo annoy him.  Dad says he’s calmed down a lot since when he first met him. I can’t imagine how emotionless he used to be cause he’s pretty emotionless now. But he’s also one of the main ones who trained me to be Robin so I owe him that
Helena Wayne: AKA the new Huntress shes technically my aunt but  she’s only 2 years older then me and I have never called her “aunt” she’s more of the older sibling I’ll never have but she’s fun and I’m sure as I get older we’ll have some good times.
Selina Kyle-Wayne, Aka Catwoman I called her Grandma once when I was 5 and she gave me a death glare that gave me nightmares for a week so I never did it again. We kinda do our own thing. She has started to socialize with me more now that I’m older.
Bruce Wayne, Aka Batman Everyone thinks he’s so tough but he’s not. Supposedly he’s completely different with me then he was with my dad and uncles. We’re close, how can we not be? He’s Batman and I’m Robin. He literally buys me anything I want so when I turn 16 it’s going to be epic.
Mark and Melanie West- They aren't family but they are my best friends. They’re twins and we’re the same age. We’re in 9th grade at Gotham Academy. Our dads (mainly my dad) like to call us the ‘Big 3’. Mark is an Archer he’s the protege to the Green Arrow. He’s my best friend and basically the brother I’ll never have, we literally share everything with each other and keep no secrets. Melanie inherited her fathers abilities and is a speedster she is the protege to The Flash. She’s one of my best friends too. We actually kissed a few months back. It wasn’t anything romantic, she did it more as a favor for me, it’s a long story and we swore never to speak of it-I kinda want to talk about it though.
So there you have it, a little run down of my crazy family from my perspective. I also have a load of ”honorary” Aunts and Uncles. Like Wally, Artemis, and Roy who has a daughter named Lian that is like an older cousin to me. There's also my dad's childhood friend Donna, my moms best friend Dinah my grandpa's ”frenemie” Uncle Clark. His son Jon  is my Uncle Dami’s really good companion they go on alot of missions together. I could go on and on. It's probably not what most would consider a normal family buts its mine and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I Don't Fight
Since it is confirmed Damian fought everyone in the batfamily, I'm making a batsis shot.
Being the legitimate Daughter of Bruce Wayne and a girl he had a fling with back when Dick was just taken in is interesting. You are 15 and have 3 older brothers who you find really amusing. They are fun and always protective. You are the nerd of the family. You know more than al your brothers and graduated already from high school and starting university. Bruce is obviously extremely proud of you.
Then you found out you have a half brother. Damian. You find him rather snooty, but he is intelligent from what you gather. He has only been around for a few days and already wrecked the decorative shrubbery with your great grandfathers sword. He also picked a fight with each of your brothers and the girls who are working with them.
You get along with the girls very well. Girls night is a monthly must.
You, being the only one who doesn't partake in vigilantism, dont expect to be caught by Damian.
Sitting relaxed by the pool reading a book, you are not nearly aware enough of the world around you to notice a batarang fly at you until after it digs deep into the back of your book.
"Ahh! What the hell!" You shout and look up to see Damian charging at you with a sword.
Your eyes go wide, but you quickly recover from the stun and role out of the chair just in time for the blade to pierce the chair.
"Cut it out you little psychopath!" You shout frantically scrambling to your feet.
"Fight me! Prove your worthy of being my sister and fight!" He snaps.
"I don't fight!" You yell almost begging him to listen.
"Then you don't deserve to be here if you can't prove yourself!" He snaps and lunges at you driving the blade down at you.
You jump back again, suddenly terrified for your life and realize you are at the fencing of the pool area with nowhere to go.
"FIGHT!" Damian snaps. "DO NOT BE A COWARD!" He the lunges the blade straight at you.
Relying on the few trainings you paid attention to from your father you dodge the blade just barely, grab the hilt and dig the blade through the fence bars and into the dirt.
Damian smirk, let's go of the blade and spins you around then slams your body into the fence. A searing pain shoots through your chest and you let out a shocked and pained yelp.
He then throws you to the ground and pins you hard with a batarang to your neck.
You look up in terror at your little brother. "Please... no..."
"Why shouldn't I? You dishonor the family name!" Damian snaps.
You stare at him deep in thought before responding. "I... I don't deserve this... I have a whole life ahead of me and training to be a surgen... "
"You are a disgrace." He says and preps to stab into you.
Just before he does he is thrown off you by Bruce. "Enough!"
"Father. You defend her? She dishonors the family." Damian snaps.
Bruce glares at him in his signature fashion then kneels down to you. "Can you stand?"
"I don't know... my chest hurts..." you say feeling the pain even through your adrenaline."
He pulls up his phone and calls for an ambulance explaining that you fell over a chair and got hurt.
Not long after you are rushed to the hospital and checked in with three broken ribs and 4 bruised ribs and a bruised lung.
Your brothers all leave work to come to your side worried. Damian stands at the doorway crossing his arms annoyed.
"Little D. Why did you do this? You knew she isn't a fighter." Dick says calmly after the nurses leave.
"I do not report to you." Damian responds coldly.
"Damian. You report to me, and if you lay a hand on your sister ever again there will be serious consequences." Bruce states firm.
Damian looks shocked by his statement then regains composure.
"I'm ok... it's fine..." you mumble.
"No, it's not fine. He nearly killed you." Bruce states.
Everyone looks shocked and you look down.
"Wait, what now?" Jason questions looking furious.
"If father hadn't shown up, I would have put her failures to an end." Damian states blandly.
Jason stands sharply ready to attack but Tim grabs him.
"Not here Jason."
Jason huffs and sits down.
After a week you are released home but put on bed rest. Jason, Tim, and Dick take turns helping Alfred care for you.
After two days home, one night when the boys are on patrol, Damian comes in with a black eye.
"After an hour of contemplation I concluded that I was wrong in attacking you. I cannot expect someone so frail to be able to hold their own against me." He states and watches you carefully.
You look shocked then smile softly. "A hug will make it better."
"How does a hug heal you?" He questions sounding annoyed.
"It just will, little bro..." you say and pout.
"No." He states.
"Ok... apology still accepted." You smile.
"I do not apologize, I just admit that I was to harsh." He says looking away.
"Right. Will you hug me now?" You tease.
"No. I will assume the medications are making you insist on this nonsense." He states.
"Oh, just wait. I will get my hug." You say with a smirk.
Damian looks at you and smirks. "Good luck. You wont catch me off gaurd."
"Challange accepted. Plus, I know you read to me at night when you think I'm asleep." You say with a grin.
"What?! Tt. Tell anyone and I will kill you this time. " he says, a hint of a smile on his face.
