the whispers, initially limited to remaining within company walls, might've quieted if they didn't follow her to new york when she became managing editor there. two years later, when she became editor-in-chief, they grew louder. but it didn't impact narisa's continued success. her work and leadership at vogue was met with high praise, numerous people recognizing her keen eye and passion, and many of her ideas credited with giving the magazine a fresh feel, ensuring it kept up with changing trends and setting new ones.

despite that, narisa still admires her father. hasn't fully accepted that the competition he encouraged between her and her half-sibling wasn't right and instead believes it was done to make her stronger, which. in her eyes, it did.

part of the reason her reputation has remained so positive is her continued dedication to partaking in charitable works. she's genuinely passionate about making a difference in the world by helping people through the narong group's charitable wing. and if the press notices well, there's nothing wrong about that.

LEE JANG-MI was born on july 15th, 1997 in busan, south korea to DAVID OKOYE and LEE CHUN JA. the former was a former olympic swimmer and united nations diplomat who hailed from one of the wealthiest families in nigeria. the latter was one of asia’s most well known singers, as well as an actress and a former beauty queen, and she also happened to be a SAMSUNG heiress. shortly after jang-mi was born, she and her parents moved to seoul in order to be closer to her maternal grandparents. the family would spend most of their time there, although they would briefly reside in london, as well.

despite the family’s picture perfect life, tragedy would strike a mere nine months following jang-mi’s birth. in may 1998, they would travel to italy to celebrate chun ja’s 31st birthday, which fell on the 25th. just four days later, however, both of jang-mi’s parents found themselves in a devastating car accident. unfortunately, the accident took both of their lives. chun ja was pronounced dead at the scene, while david fell into a coma, and later succumbed to his injuries a day later. jang-mi and her grandparents were quick to return to korea, and she was left in their care as her parents’ sudden deaths made international news.

up until jang-mi’s first birthday, she was raised by her grandparents and occasionally by her aunt, lee chaewon. however, her grandparents were already retired, and the grief of losing their eldest daughter and son-in-law made it hard for them to properly raise their granddaughter. chun ja’s youngest sister, bae eun-ji, already had a family of her own, and she was unsure if she could split her time amongst three children who were all under the age of five. meanwhile, although chaewon was unmarried, she was almost always working, and she didn’t want to leave jang-mi in the care of a nanny most of the time. and on top of that, her paternal grandparents resided in nigeria. as a result, jang-mi was regrettably put up for adoption. after a few months in a foster home, she was eventually adopted by a couple from southern california. she was given an english name, cecilia, and her middle names were taken from what her parents wanted to name her (chiara), her mother’s own english name (cynthia), and the meaning of her birth name (rose). and although the world knew of jang-mi’s existence, no one would know what became of her for the next seventeen years.

from then on, jang-mi was raised in california along with her older sister, who was also adopted. she grew up with a particular passion for music, and frequently listened to artists such as WHITNEY HOUSTON, MARIAH CAREY, DESTINY’S CHILD, AALIYAH, ASHANTI, AMERIE, ERYKAH BADU, THE SUPREMES, S.E.S, WONDER GIRLS, SNSD, KARA, 2NE1, MISS A, and LEE HYORI. at the age of fifteen, jang-mi began posting song covers and the occasional original song onto youtube. she began working at a nanette lepore boutique a year later, but shortly after she started her job, she was cast off the street by a representative of IMG MODELS, and was encouraged to enter an open casting call. although jang-mi failed to get a job, she managed to work her way into advertisements and editorials.

in 2013, she was encouraged to participate in that year’s MISS TEEN CALIFORNIA pageant. although initially skeptical, jang-mi would end up participating, and surprisingly, she won. the resulting exposure gave her acting and modeling opportunities like never before, and instead of participating in MISS TEEN USA, jang-mi used the attention to get her music career off the ground. she began starring in off-broadway productions, performing on the streets of los angeles, giving out her demo CDs to the people that would stop to watch her, posting her street performances to youtube, and writing as many songs as possible in her free time. meanwhile, her youtube channel was garnering a significant amount of traction. during the summer of 2014, her covers of PARAMORE’s “still into you” and of LEE HI’s “rose” would go viral. the former got her invited to one of the band’s concerts, while the latter caught the attention of YG ENTERTAINMENT. the label invited her to audition, and wanting to get closer to her home country through music, jang-mi accepted.

jang-mi sang ALICIA KEYS’ “no one” at the final round, and to her surprise, she passed auditions. she signed a 2-year contract with YG, and as a result, she had to quit her job, place her modeling career on hold, and move to south korea. she didn’t stop posting to her youtube channel, however, using it to record her progress as a trainee. jang-mi trained alongside the future members of BLACKPINK, and was actually meant to be one of the group’s members, renowned for her powerful vocals. while training, she had background vocals on the songs of other YG artists, wrote songs for them and what would become BLACKPINK’s discography (including the “WHISTLE” demo and “PLAYING WITH FIRE”), and had small roles in a few dramas. jang-mi was particularly hard working during her time as a trainee, and would even spend her days off in dance studios or at karaoke. however, a year into her trainee, she began having doubts, particularly about how she would be received in a country such as south korea. those doubts turned into stress, and it forced jang-mi to leave the company. returning home, she felt as if she had accomplished nothing.

jang-mi’s brief depressive state after leaving YG only pushed her to work harder, however. after returning to california, she didn’t return to her job, and instead focused most of her time on music and getting into university. in september, she was contacted by record label FUELED BY RAMEN, but she declined their contract offer, as it made her feel better to have control over the earliest aspects of her career. jang-mi formed the band ROSES ‘N THORNS with some of her high school friends, began uploading her original work to SOUNDCLOUD, and immediately started working on what would be her debut album.

in mid-october, jang-mi’s debut single “REWIND” would be released, and her album of the same name would drop at the beginning of november. going by the name LIA WILLIAMS, she spent her time touring across california in small venues and performing at local music festivals. in january 2016, however, a representative from INTERSCOPE RECORDS would attend one of jang-mi’s concerts. she was told about a potential record deal with the label, and just days later, she was singing her music in front of executives in INTERSCOPE’s headquarters. and instead of taking a month like she expected, jang-mi was signing a deal within a couple of hours, with JIMMY IOVINE reportedly saying that no one could leave until she was signed. and immediately afterwards, jang-mi got to work on her major label debut album, FRUITS OF MY LABOR, which would go on to catapult her into mainstream success.

Height, weight, shoe size, body type ~ headcanon

Russia

202 cm/101 kg/46

Tall, large, and proportional: Russia has larger everything as his body parts follow the pattern of his immense height, however none of them stand out too much in proportion. He has good muscles, but not too much; has some fat, but also not too much. A good balance between softness around his waist and definition in his limbs. Neither fit nor out of shape. He prefers to bury himself in thick coats and scarves though, which might be why he seems pretty fat, just like a bear in his winter coat.

Mongolia

176 cm/88 kg/43.5

Stocky and sturdy: Mongolia is of average height, typically shorter than the Europeans though he is taller than many in Asia, and he has a broad set of shoulders that are a bit wider than even Russia’s. On top of that, Mongolia possesses large and heavy torso, with barrel arms, thickish waist, strong legs and big bones, which are all great assets for a wrestler!! (Though he doesn’t compete professionally; he is just a dedicated amateur!!)

As for his hands, they are equipped with wide, heavy-looking palms that are capable of so much gentleness and calmness it might look surprising to have in someone as passionate as he is. But if you want them to spank you, that’s also okay lol.

Kazakhstan

Lean and willowy: Kazakhstan isn’t very tall, but he looks very much so given his tiniest narrow waist, long neck, and lean but defined limbs. With almost no body fat, he looks rather malnourished; however Kazakhstan is very energetic and moves with a dancer’s grace and strength, as he himself is trained in the arts such as in ballet, folk, and modern dances!!

Kazakhstan also has what are seemingly a model’s hands with dainty long fingers. But don’t mistake them; they are capable of frequently making traditional bows and arrows, and of course wielding them!!

Uzbekistan

Comfortable and homey: Uzbekistan might not be fit with how barely muscled he is and with some belly, but he is happy with his life and that’s the most important thing! Since his body also looks just like any average man on the street, it invokes a feeling in people around him that he looks very domestic indeed. Being out of shape though, he does admit that he should exercise more, but he doesn’t even want to run to the next block as it is. Kazakhstan could be participating in a marathon race and Uzbekistan said he’d only be there with boxed lunches for them both, lol. Oh, he’s also hairy in a lot of places!!

Turkey

183 cm/85 kg/44

Well groomed: Turkey is fit, with adequate muscle size in their best looking places, and he’s very proud of his work!! He does appreciate some fat on the body though, so he himself has a bit of a belly and he loves it when his partners have some fat to grope and hold onto. In fact, Turkey likes it best when his partners are on the big and strong side compared to the petite and demure side. Oh, he also has a nice pair of ass!!

Chapter three - Sugar Baby.

After we ate he gave me back my phone which was fully charged, I thanked him and saw all the texts my friends sent me, I sent them a message of how I was safe and they responded in less than a minute. I'm dead.

"Uh I need to go to NB6, my friends dorm is there. " he chuckled "I'll drop you off but you still need to cover up first." I noticed that I was still wearing my top from last night which isn't really campus friendly.

he then gave me a hoodie which was pretty big on me, "thanks I'll give it back. " he chuckled amusedly, "Sure, let's get you back to your friends."

I realized he wasn't staying in campus rather he had his own apartment, I guess it makes sense the dorms are a bit strict and he's rich.

We went down to the parking lot "So uh, which one do you wanna ride? " he asked, "huh?" I was confused we we're in front of a Tesla so I suppose this is his car?

He looked at a line of cars, there was a Ferrari, Mustang, Mercedes, BMW, and a Camaro, and of course the Tesla in front of us "Uh, any will do. " he nodded

He guided me in the passenger seat, he even opened the door for me, I know the bare minimum but still I got butterflies in my stomach.

As we drove out of the apartment complex I noticed the name of the apartment complex Koralex oh, his parents owns this complex too...

He's driving in silence so it was really awkward so I decided to break the silence "So uhm, do you have a girlfriend?" he scoffed, "That's the first thing you wanna know about me?"

"Yeah, so do you? " I asked seriously, "No, not yet. " how!? I mean he's so fucking attractive, don't you think he'd have a relationship by now, "How about you? Do you have a boyfriend?" he asked.

"I don't do boyfriends." I told him honestly. Okay no matter how hot he is, I'm not ready for a serious relationship, I only want the thrill plus I'm still young and beautiful.

Oh maybe he's not the type to commit, and I'm guessing we have the same reason. "I heard you study Entrepreneurship, from Kkura." he nodded, "I do, I have multiple goals in life and this course so happens to be connected to all of that. "

"How about you? What's your course? " he asked, "Architecture. " I answered frankly, "Oh, so you want to be an architect?" he asked, "Yes and No. "

he tilted his head in confusion, "Well I do want to be an architect buy my number one dream is to be a model! But if doesn't work then I'll just be a Architect but if I'm too unlucky I'll just be a sugar baby. "

He laughed at what I said, god even his laugh is attractive, "but I'll also take being a stay at home wife for a rich CEO. " I smiled innocently, "I though you don't do boyfriends? what you only do husbands?"

Humorous. But I still laughed, We entered NB6 and immediately saw my friends, "I think I'll be okay here, my friends are already there. " I looked at where my friends were sitting and they looked a bit confused.

Maybe because I was with Lee Heesung but whatever, he smiled "Okay." and he was about to walk away but I stopped him, "Will I ever see you again?" he smile grew brighter, "Sure princess, whenever you want. " he held my thigh, I cleared my throat "How can I contact you?"

He held his palm out, so I got my phone from my purse, he immediately put his phone number and called his own phone just to be sure and gave me back my phone, oh he even put in his own contact number, 'Sugar Daddy' my eyes widen, I giggled "Why just why?" I asked in disbelief.

"Just predicting my future. "He winked, "Bye careful princess, see you soon. "

I immediately walked in our dorm room with the brightest smile on my face "Yah! I'm here!" I kind of shout, as I come face to face with my friends "We know we saw you with that hot guy, who was that? " Chaewon asked.

"That was probably Heesung! " Kkura answered as she bought some coffee, "OMG, really?! " Eunchae called out, "Ah! Our youngi is so lucky! " Yunjin added.

"Yeah it's him and, I know.. ' I drank coffee as the rest of them converse which I tune out, I scroll back to their chats last night.

The first trend I chose for my spring/ summer 2023 catwalk trends is crochet this is because I love all the detail and different patterns created by the designers. Crochet is continuing as a trend due to designers becoming more creative with the technique, remaining a perfect option for summer fitting in with beachy and city wardrobes.

The next trend I chose for my spring/summer 2023 catwalk trends is denim. Denim has a huge impact on Many people’s fashion choices and has not lost its variety for the ss23 catwalks with many different styles and ways of wearing the denim. Many of these designs for the catwalks were inspired by the 90s with new baggy cut jeans and long denim skirts initially becoming a huge hit for summer time.

The International Criminal Court today issued an arrest warrant for Russian president Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, Putin’s commissioner for children’s rights, for war crimes: kidnapping Ukrainian children and transporting them to Russia. Russia does not recognize the ICC, which is established at The Hague—the government seat of the Netherlands—and for its part, the Russian government claims its deportation program is humanitarian and patriotic. The international assessment that Putin and one of his top officials have personally engaged in war crimes drives another wedge between Putin and the rest of the Russian people as over time his inability to interact successfully with the rest of the world will have growing consequences for the people at home,

The arrest warrant is unlikely to put Putin in custody any time soon. But an official charge of war crimes will make it harder for other leaders and countries to associate with the Russian regime. Chinese president Xi Jinping is scheduled to travel to Russia next week for his first visit since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Suddenly, that visit, which was fraught enough to begin with, has become more complicated.

Russia promptly announced that Putin and Xi will sign accords ushering in a “new era” of ties, while China’s foreign ministry called the trip “a visit for peace.” But the trip, coming after recent evidence that China has been supplying Russia with war materials, means its involvement with Russia could lead to sanctions against China, a hit that its currently fragile economy can’t easily absorb.

That the warrant focuses on children is also significant. Of the 123 countries that are parties to the Rome Statute that created the International Criminal Court, 33 are African, 19 are in the Asia-Pacific region, 18 are in Eastern Europe, 28 are in Latin America and the Caribbean, and 25 are in Western Europe and elsewhere. All nations care about children, but the trafficking of children to serve as soldiers, sex slaves, drug mules, and so on, is an especially sensitive issue for many of the parties to the Rome Statute.

The international assessment that Putin has engaged in war crimes is significant in the United States as well, even though the U.S. is not a signatory to the Rome Statute. The American right wing has held up Putin and his attack on the secular values of democracy as a model, saying that his rejection of LGBTQ rights, for example, and his alleged embrace of Christianity show how a modern nation can reclaim what they see as traditional virtue. Putin’s arrest warrant for war crimes, centered in crimes against children, will make it harder to spin his authoritarianism as a virtue, especially as they claim their policies are designed to protect children.

The right-wing rejection of democracy was on display at a meeting of the Federalist Society in early March. Politico’s Ian Ward covered the meeting. The Federalist Society organized in the 1980s to argue that the civil rights decisions of the past several decades corrupted democracy because liberal judges were “legislating from the bench” against the wishes of actual voters. The society’s members claimed to stand for judicial restraint.

But now that their judges are on the bench, they have changed their philosophy. Last summer, after a Supreme Court stacked with Federalist Society members overturned the right to abortion, voters have tried to protect that right in the states. Now, according to Ward, the Federalist Society appears to be shifting away from the idea of judicial restraint in the face of popular votes and toward the idea that judges should “interpret the Constitution” in ways right-wing Americans support. They are quick to claim that democracy is not the answer: it would result, they say, in the tyranny of the majority.

That abandonment of democracy is about more than just voting their folks into office. Right-wing figures frustrated by the secular values of democracy—religious freedom, companies that respond to markets without interference by the state, academic freedom, public schools, free speech, equality before the law—want to restore what they consider human virtue by using the state to enforce their values.

Because they think all aspects of the modern U.S. have been corrupted by liberal democracy, people on the far right are eager to destroy those institutions and replace them. When Trump said, as he did yesterday, that “the greatest threat to Western civilization today is not Russia,” he was echoing this ideology to mobilize his followers (even though his concerns are probably less to do with civilization than with his legal issues). His call for firing “deep staters” and reconstituting “the State Department, the defense bureaucracy, the intelligence services, and all of the rest” is an explicit call to radicalize our government.

Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security advisor, endorsed Trump’s worldview, saying “Trump is absolutely right, our greatest threat currently is right here at home. We must ‘fundamentally change’ by severely reforming the government deep state bureaucracy. They (among many parts of our USG[overnment]) represent a menace to our way of life.” (Flynn’s ties to Russia forced him out of office, and he pleaded guilty to lying about them to the FBI; Trump pardoned him.)

Flynn has been on a far-right road tour across America since shortly after Trump left office, recruiting an “Army of God” to put Christianity at the center of American life and institutions. “At this ReAwaken America Tour, Jesus is King [and] President Donald J. Trump is our president,” a co-organizer, Clay Clark, said.

Kiera Butler of Mother Jones today explained how Flynn and his conspiracy-minded supporters have leveled a hate campaign against Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, accusing it of killing Covid patients by denying them the horse-deworming drug ivermectin. They have organized a group called The Hollow 2A to help “Americans gather to lawfully take back our country” with guns and activism at the local level. Along with two other groups, they are planning to swamp the hospital board meeting on Monday, acting as a groundswell of local activists protesting hospital malpractice when, in fact, they have joined forces to attack a hospital that adheres to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a government agency.

Today Ohio joined five other Republican-dominated states—Louisiana, Alabama, West Virginia, Missouri, and Florida—in leaving the Electronic Registration Information Center, a national data-sharing consortium that updates national voter rolls. Right-wing election deniers say that the bipartisan ERIC is controlled by left-wing groups that enable fraud. Those still belonging to ERIC deny all of the accusations and point out that getting rid of ERIC would get rid of one of the country’s most powerful tools for stopping individuals from voting multiple times, as a number of people from Florida’s The Villages did in 2020.

In a sworn affidavit today, the top lawyer for the Capitol Police said that neither he nor the police chief was informed that anyone other than House members would see the video footage from January 6, 2021, that House speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) permitted Fox News Channel personality Tucker Carlson and his staff to review. Republicans also ignored the Capitol Police’s repeated requests to review and approve all of the footage that Carlson used on his show. Carlson tried to present the attack on the Capitol as a tourist visit as part of his narrative that the FBI and the Department of Justice are corrupt.

But the attempt to destroy the fabric of our government has not yet succeeded. Today, in one of her last rulings before stepping down, Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the D.C. District Court ordered Trump attorney Evan Corcoran to testify in the investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents. Howell agreed with Department of Justice prosecutors that discussions between Trump and Corcoran met the threshold for the crime-fraud exception, meaning that they are not covered by attorney-client privilege because they were part of a crime.

Meanwhile, CNN’s John Miller, as well as journalists from many other outlets, reports that sources in law enforcement are telling them that “senior staff members from the Manhattan district attorney’s office, the New York State Court Officers—who provide security at the state Supreme Court building in lower Manhattan—and the New York Police Department” have been meeting all week to prepare for a possible indictment of the former president, as early as next week.
