While I am at complaining about the supporting characters treatment in the show, may I speak about Sabrina.
Sabrina who is forced by the show to stay stagnant in abused and toxic position without revaluating her situation for 4,5 seasons,
after the protagonist attempts reaching out to her and explain she deserves a healthy friendship ("Evillustrator");
after her father loses his job on Chloe's whim ("Rogercop");
after Chloe repays her with open ingratitude and cruelty, breaking her heart, causing her akumatization ("Antibug"), and after it happens again ("Miraculer");
(And in both these cases her return to Chloe is framed as POSITIVE thing)
after she becomes a superhero ("Penalteam");
after she is akumatized because of Chloe's cruelty again but this time as purposeful manipulation by Chloe to force her akumatized self to participate in a crime of framing a person ("Adoration");
and then decided to rebel only when she is being forced to ruin 10 teens' career, but mostly because the plot demanded it ("Confrontation")... still better than nothing I guess.
Sabrina the only kid in the class whose first "akuma episode" is just an opening of another person's akuma episode (Chloe's, to be precise) and not even named after her;
(And whose second akuma episode is a Chloe-centric episode again, and whose third akuma episode is kind of Chloe-centric and kind of Zoe-centric)
Sabrina who has, like, several minutes of screen time in her superhero debut episode (that is, through, a misfortune she shares in "Penalteam" with Ivan, Nath, Marc, and also Kim in "Party Crasher");
Sabrina the only hero in the team who is replaced after one outing despite not even doing anything wrong as a hero or any explanation (in Season 4 finale Ladybug introduces Flairmidable as PERMANENT new Dog);
(And it remains completely unnoticed. Care to compare with the infamous Queen Bee retirement drama?)
Sabrina on whose personality the story cannot decide other than "she is Chloe's underling"(how willing to be a petty nuisance is she? What are her beliefs and values? Depends on the episode. What are her skills? Whatever the episode demands. Interests?...I suppose football was mentioned once).
Whose father's personality is retconned from protecting justice and people's rights despite corruption of superiors ("Rogercop") to approving of his daughter's rightless position and humiliation ("Startrain").
And whom being abused the story's deuteragonist (himself an abuse victim, mind you) is watching in enjoyment ("Lies").
And about whom the author has the gut to accuse VIEWERS of not caring about her enough.

Analyzer - Félix & Emotion, Part 3 (Miraculous Ladybug)
Tumblr media
So, yeah... We have reached the final two episodes of Félix being relevant in Miraculous Ladybug, and I'm not counting Episode 26: Re-creation (The Last Day - Part 2), mainly because it was just a cameo. So, Part 3 would only cover Episode 19: Pretension and Episode 24: Representation, fulfilling two roles: Kagami's Love Interest and Exposition Fairy.
For this, I will do a quick recap of the events that occur in these two episodes, as well add what I would've written instead.
So, let's finish this!
Episode 19: Pretension starts off... sometime after the events of Emotion and apparently, Maribug and Adrichat are not interested in pursuing Félix, who is currently spying on Kagami. Kagami in turn is trying to convince her mother to not see her and Adrien as a couple (why am I getting flashbacks to all those secret eugenics cult theories?), with Tomoe scolding her for being "a slave to her emotions". Have I mentioned that I hate this woman?
Tumblr media
Argos gets pissed off by seeing Kagami being treated like that, breaks the roof of the car and kidnaps Kagami. I suppose that's one way of escaping a toxic parent. Once they're gone, Tomoe quickly calls Gabriel to recover the Miraculous of the Peacock, because apparently, Gabriel still has no clue where Félix is hiding (hint: his own house in London), so I suppose he was keeping an eye out for him. In classic villain speech, Monarch claims how Félix is a monster who was the one endangering their children - you got no right speaking, you terrorist - and Tomoe gets akumatized and goes after Argos and Kagami.
Speaking of the two, they're at the top of the Eiffel Tower, and Kagami's first instinct is to go for the chair.
Tumblr media
You go girl!
Argos quickly de-transforms to show her he's harmless, and as Félix, tells her he's not his enemy, and that he just wants to talk to her. Kagami is still on guard, wondering what he wants to tell her, and then we get this conversation:
Kagami: What is it you want to tell me?! Félix: I... I don't know. But ever since I saw you, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you. I've felt that... you and I... were the same. (Kagami looks surprised.) Félix: We have so much in common, and yet, you're also so different. I've never met someone like you. Kagami: We don't even know each other! Félix: I know you. I've been following you non-stop. Kagami: Even better! You follow me, you spy on me and now you've kidnapped me to get to know me?! Félix: Uh... yes? Kagami: You are utterly incompetent at social relations. (Sighs.) You can't take someone away against their will! Félix: Sorry, I won't do it again, I... just wanted to protect you from your mother. She can't talk to you like that. (Kagami stares at him in awe and confusion.)
Yeah, this is the moment where the Féligami ship starts sailing. I will talk about it, but I gotta admire how Félix went from cunning to awkward the moment he opened his mouth to talk to Kagami.
Tumblr media
Let's hope those puppy dog eyes will win her over.
To address the ship itself, I honestly have nothing against it, and it is a cute ship (especially when Féligami fans get their hands on it), but it's not my favorite (that one still goes to Brilix/Cursed Charm). However, I will address some of the obvious issues the writing itself created.
First of all, we do know Kagami's type being someone who is a rebel and who has the will to stand up for themselves, and Félix's penchant for mischief fits. I suppose it also helps that he looks like Adrien, whom Kagami still has feelings for... which, uh... okay, it really feels awkward, because out of context (and maybe even in context) it makes it appear as if Kagami just replaced Adrien with Félix. They look the same, and this one actually has a spine.
I do like that Kagami actually calls Félix out on how they don't know each other, and how he stalked her and kidnapped her. Now, that's a realistic reaction! However, I will address Kagami's point of them not knowing each other, and I don't blame Félix for this one, but the writing staff for thinking they can speedrun Féligami and no one will notice.
Like said, I'm cool with Féligami happening, but goddamnit, couldn't the writers have put more effort into having Kagami and Félix interact (aside from their glare in Season 4?). For example, have Kagami talk to Félix way earlier and have her realize that, while appearance-wise he and Adrien are look the same, personality-wise, they're completely different and have her question which one's she's falling for - the guy whom her mother and Gabriel set her up with, or the one who actually has the qualities she likes. Hell, that could be part of her own rebellion against her mother and the reason she breaks up with Adrien.
But yeah, this is Miraculous Ladybug we're talking about. Good character writing is almost non-existent.
As for Félix...
Tumblr media
I'll just use the words my friend used to describe him - he's a S.I.M.P.
It's clear that he deeply admires Kagami and is so socially awkward that he thought it would be a good idea to learn more about her by stalking her and kidnapping her. *sigh* Félix, you're a lovable idiot. However, the moment he realizes that he really messed up, he apologizes, telling her how he just wanted to protect her from her mother.
Okay, before I continue, I will address that there is one glaring issues I had with this confession, and spoilers, it's not the kidnapping.
Anyways, before the conversation can continue, Matagi Gozen finds them, alongside Maribug and Adrichat, and everyone wants to save Kagami. Félix quickly transforms into Argos, dragging Kagami along for the ride and is chased by Matagi Gozen, Maribug and Adrichat, leading to a fight between the three. Kagami wants to reveal her hideout to calm down her mother, arguing with Argos how she can set herself free.
Matagi Gozen finds them, shooting an arrow at Kagami, with Argos saving her. Kagami is stunned her mother would hurt her, with Argos responding how his own father was much worse. He then breaks his fan, telling Kagami how her safety is his priority, showing once again his cunning side by spreading out the pieces of the fan to confuse Matagi Gozen. Nice job, Argos!
Tumblr media
He and Kagami enter the sewers, with Argos de-transforming and having another conversation with her:
Kagami: I don't understand. You have the Miraculous of the peacock, why don't you create a Sentimonster to get us out of here? Félix: First of all, don't call them that. (Throws his cufflink into the sewage.) I refuse to create a being to manipulate them, control them, abuse them, and end up destroying them. (Kagami looks surprised at him) Cat Noir:(through his earpiece) I found Kagami and Félix. Félix transformed back. Now's the time. Félix: When you bring a living being into this world, you have a responsibility towards them. Your duty is to protect them, love them, help them discover the true meaning of their existence. To deprive them of that... is monstrous. Kagami: Are you talking about... yourself? Félix: I'm talking about... us. Ladybug: Félix, set Kagami free! Cat Noir: And this time, you're giving us back the Miraculous of the peacock! Kagami:(puts her arm in front of Félix, defending him) I am nobody's prisoner! Félix is not your enemy! He's like me! He doesn't know how to express himself. Everyone is wrong about him! Including me. (They smile at each other)
Okay, have you followed this conversation so far? Good, because here's my take on it.
Tumblr media
We know now that Félix is a Sentimonster, and given how he described his own father as thousand times worse, it's clear that he suffered a lot. He hates being controlled, and after seeing someone else who is controlled just as him, he lashes out in a misguided attempt to protect Kagami. He does all the wrong things for the right reasons. It really shows just how much depth his character is.
However, remember the issue I mentioned? Yeah, the fact that Félix is suddenly in love with Kagami, AFTER discovering she's also a Sentimonster? It's a huge "yikes" moment. Like I said before, the writers decided to clearly speedrun Féligami while making a lot of unfortunate implications. I will say, it is not the worst writing I saw, but seriously, did no one think about this?
Matagi Gozen attacks them, with Félix transforming into Argos again and trusting Maribug and Adrichat to keep Kagami safe as he escapes. He later appears at Sorbonne, giving Kagami the real ring back after she gave her mother a fake one, telling her how she's now free to make her own choices. Yep, the amok is in the family ring, and from the shot of them holding hands together, they're a couple.
So, before I move on to Episode 24: Representation, I have one more observation to make. I said it before and I'll say it again, Féligami was really the writers' attempt at a speedrun and, as cute as they are together, it feels rushed, especially on Félix's end. Kagami was a complete stranger to him, but the moment he finds out she's also a Sentimonster, he obsesses over her? Yeah, Houston, we got a problem.
It appears that they're getting along quite well, though, with Kagami laughing when Argos draws a heart on her window.
Tumblr media
I guess they spent a lot of time together off screen. Anyways, remember how I mentioned Félix also taking the role of the Exposition Fairy?
Tumblr media
Welcome to the actual highlight of this episode! Félix and Kagami have learned that Marinette is Ladybug and decide to ask for her help. Félix cosplays as Adrien to lure her away from the party.
Tumblr media
Honestly, I don't really think that's wonderful, because what they did is mainly breaking Marinette's heart by making her think Adrien is still around. Félix transforms into Argos again, and actually creates a Sentimonster, despite his earlier rant about how he'd never do anything like that.
Did... did the writers just sleep on that episode? Or did they decide "eh, character depth is overrated, we'll do whatever we want for the plot".
Tumblr media
Admittedly, the Sentimonster is a tripod camera, so there is a question how "sentient" that thing is.
I'll just quickly go over the next part, which is basically Félix and Kagami doing a play in regards to all the Graham de Vanily/Agreste history.
Tumblr media
Skipping my complaints about this being an exposition dump that could've been done during the show's early Seasons and not in one episode in Season 5, I do love how Marinette is really into the play.
We learn how Amelie married some rich heartless cowboy dude (or maybe that was just a visual to show that he was American? *shrugs*), and after her sister got pregnant (with the visual of peacock feathers in the background), her husband got pissed off.
Tumblr media
So, after some convincing from Emilie, Gabriel gave the Amelie's husband, Colt Fathom, the Peacock Miraculous, and Félix was created out of jealousy, with the amok being placed in Félix's ring. Félix's father then falls ill, aware this was the price he was paying for Félix's existence, and sees him as a monster.
Tumblr media
Félix himself explains how he didn't understand why his father didn't love him and why he felt obligated to do whatever Colt demanded, no matter how unfair they were. If he became fond of someone who displeased his father, Colt would tear them away from him, or rather, order Félix to end things. Eventually, he realized that his life was connected to the ring when it cracked and almost destroyed him, and he could only recover it after his father died, along with his freedom.
That's when he understood that the Miraculous gave him life and it could take it away, so he made it his mission to recover it, even saying how he went to Gabriel to retrieve it and describe the events of Season 4 and Season 5.
Tumblr media
Honestly, it's genuinely tragic and sad just through how much stuff Félix had to go through, day by day fearing for his own life, being hated by his own father and learning not to trust anyone until he met Kagami. It explains his behavior in the past Seasons, even why he only took one ring from Gabriel, because apparently, Adrien's amok was in both of the rings, something Félix wouldn't know.
Tumblr media
Anyways, we leave these two lovebirds doing what they want, and myself with my final thoughts.
Tumblr media
In my personal opinion, Félix is a really solid character, who does undergo character development, even if it's rushed. He's also a tragic character, who was doing the wrong thing for the right reasons and messed up in execution. He's also a deeply traumatized teenager who had to deal with an identity crisis on his own and the fact that he might cease to exist with a snap of a finger. He's intelligent and cunning, but also socially awkward and has a sweet and theatric side, and he also moves the plot forward every time he appears.
SO WHY THE HELL ISN'T HE THE MAIN CHARACTER?!
*sighs*
I went over how bad the Miraculous Ladybug writing is several times, and I'm not gonna repeat myself here. I will add my own version of how I would've written the events Post-Emotion.
For starters, after Félix learns that he can trust Maribug and Adrichat, he seeks them out to talk to them in private, revealing that Gabriel Agreste is Monarch. Hell, he could even pull another switcheroo to infiltrate the Agreste mansion as Adrien to gather more information. Even if Gabriel is more alert, he'd still be fooled by that. Instead of making it a battle royale where the heroes react to Gabriel's attack, have it be them the ones who go confront Monarch head on. At least, that way, Adrichat would participate in the final battle.
Anyways, these were my thoughts on Félix, and if you want to see how I'd write his character... well, his PV Ladybug self, then check out my story Up Ladybug and leave a comment.
Until next time!

Hey! So, I was wondering if you could do me a favor.
Can you tell me what’s been happening in ML since Miracle Queen?
I jumped ship back then because of Fandom Drama and Toxicity, and I can’t get ahold of the show itself because my internet is shit right now. I want to rejoin the fandom and catch up, but it isn’t easy to figure out what’s going on. Especially since my only available avenue for Fandom News is the… Uh… (be nice be nice be nice) Mess that is Tumblr.
Can you help me out?
Well we are well into Season 5 now. But I will try and summarize everything that happened that was important.
TIME FOR A GALE RECAP!

-Luka and Marinette broke up in the first episode, Kagami and Adrien in the second.
-Jagged stone is Juleka and Luka's dad.
-Alya finds out that Marinette is ladybug because Marinette tells her

-Alya gets the fox permanently, then has to pretend she isnt rena rouge anymore because plot.
-Alya gets to use the ladybug miraculous for a day
-Ladybug and chat noir are said to be couple of the year but ladybug hated the idea so much she yeets chat noir into a garbage can

-Sabine got akumatized due to racism
-Tikki is actually a hunger gremlin but gets over it
-Luka finds out Marinette is ladybug and Adrien is Chat noir but lies about knowing
-The 100th episode was a what if episode where Gabriel wins but not really. It was terrible and not worth viewing
-Adrien quits being chat noir due to all of the crap and feeling not valued only to come back as Chat Walker and Ladybug falls for him. He ends up returning as chat noir even though nothing really changed.
-Then there is an episode where Gabriel makes all of Paris act risky thanks to an akuma.
-Adrien tells Marinette he doesnt want to be a model

Perceptions of Junjou Romantica pt.1
I reread Junjou Romantica.
And I liked it, I know it's a red flag; I admit it, and I don't regret stating this.
Tumblr media
Okay, so last Saturday, December 03, between these midnight slumps, moments where everything you consider right starts to be questioned, is that Junjou Romantica came to my head, as a blurry idea.
I listened to the thought and after at least 30 minutes of online research, I found a translation page that updates the Manga, more or less up to date and without spelling mistakes, something that is always appreciated.
Before reviewing (this is going to take a long time) then I think it is appropriate to give the respective credits to this translation group:
Credits for the small screenshots I'm going to post to @hibonbl-scan on Tumblr and link to his page where I read the manga (at least the last few caps):
(in Spanish, bc I'm lazy man. Please see the image descriptions (ALT) to read the English translation of the cartoons)
BTW: This post is a translation for a last ONE.
I read the chapters before act 40.5 in TMO and Manga Dogs; please support @hibonbl-scans in their official pages and do not resubmit the manga to these platforms, because it is a demerit to the hard work that this group does for the readers.
Anyway, I'll stop chitchatting because this is coming for a long time, because it is about the avalanche of thoughts both good and bad, of what Junjou Romantica has meant to my life.
On goodreads I rated my review 4.4 out of five stars but… objectively it doesn't deserve more than 3.
Is Junjou romantica a bad manga?
The short answer is: Yes.
But then why did I score it so high?
Because the moment you put aside the bad time the first few chapters put you through, is when you start to highlight the good stuff.
So, a little context for you to understand the crossroads of my life:
My first BL anime, was Junjou Romantica, like a lot of the people who started watching yaoi. I watched it believing that Misaki, the main character, was a girl.
Tumblr media
And I was shocked to realize that there could be a genre specific to gay relationships in anime. At that time, I only watched shojo (I also watched kuroko no basket, but I should dedicate another post to that), my epitome of romance was Adrian and Marinnete's relationship from miraculus ladybug, and I was 12 years old.
If I were to go back in time, I would have said to myself, don't watch Junjou Romantica until you understand that the attitudes Usagi exercises with Misaki are not romantic. THEY ARE TOXIC, THEY ARE WRONG and SHOULD NOT BE ROMANTIC.
I was one of the many girls who somehow approached yaoi believing that gay relationships, in real life, were based on abuse and possession which in manga/anime, looked good, but in real life is BAD.
Well, anyway, back then, as soon as I finished the bl anime page, I read the junjou Romantica manga, but I didn't remember anything, so I decided to reread it.
Current context:
I introduce myself; I'm a 17-year-old Chilean girl, who writes BL fanfiction since she saw junjou romantica. My romantic experience is not null, but the truth is that I've never felt in love. Nowadays, I can clearly differentiate the harmful attitudes of my environment and I can say that I managed to say NO to a relationship that was going to become something extremely toxic.
Disclaimer: the manga is not finished yet. But at this point the ending is pretty easy to guess and almost all the main conflicts are settled, so I don't think my opinion will change with the ending.
Also: Too many spoilers.
With this in mind, I can start commenting: Bring your beverage of choice, make yourselves comfortable because this started long and will go on long.
Tumblr media
The plot: Usagi is a traumatized novelist, Misaki a traumatized boy but with a cool brother. Usagi and Misaki love each other. 💕
That the easiest plot summary.
I'm going to start with the good and the bad I'll analyze it later.
My favorite character is: MISAKI 🤧
I give a trophy to Misaki, for achieving this position in my heart. A real shame that within the fandom you are so underrated, all because of Usagi's sexy face. However, I didn't fall for Usagi's charms, and I can say that Misaki is one of the best developed characters I've encountered in manga.
WHAT????
When I was 12 I didn't appreciate it, but now. OMG.
Misaki needs real recognition, and so I'm going to start by highlighting what makes him such a mind-blowing character.
Misaki is an orphan boy, and he still blames himself in his 20-something years for this event, for this very reason is that he grows up to become an insecure man with low self-esteem and even comes to believe that he doesn't deserve to be loved.
It gives me certain vibes of Charlie from heartstopper, but worse.
HOW?
Now they're going to want to kill me, I get it.
Misaki, has all these complexes, besides being an orphan, having clear homosexual preferences that he represses and his older brother who has taken care of him, since his parents died, is getting married and, therefore, Misaki must become independent to not disturb the family environment that his brother will begin to form with great effort.
And I emphasize that bother, because Misaki throughout the manga we see him constantly repressing himself for fear of being a nuisance. He shuts up his opinions, his own desires, for the sake of the other person. He is too humble, so much so that it becomes painful. But Misaki grew up like this, it's the way he lives.
Tumblr media
But everything I said, it doesn't end there, because the Misaki of vol. 1 changes too much to the Misaki we meet in vol. 27.
Misaki is my favorite character because we see him grow too much, so much so that I ended up in tears of pride just for him.
In the beginning he is, as I said, a snowball of insecurities, which if not healed, is going to end up getting bigger and bigger. His motivations (at the beginning) are basic: finish college, get married, work, and die. A life scheme that she considers boring, but at least it won't cause problems for the people around her.
Misaki, too, has a big issue expressing his feelings, he gets a mental circuit breaker and runs out of words even though he knows them well. He cannot express what he likes and dislikes; something that also contributes to the misunderstandings that occur throughout the saga
(and which add to the toxicity of the main relationship, at the beginning).
But in the end, Misaki not only accepts that he wants to be with Usagi for life, but is also able to express this clearly to her most important circle of people. He is confident enough in the decisions he makes that he can fearlessly reject people who want to go overboard with him. And furthermore, he brings to the relationship he has with Usagi no longer just as a stereotypical "tender Uke" figure BUT now he does so by supporting the very "super strong Seme" that Usagi is supposed to be.
Exactly. Misaki acknowledges that he's pivotal because without him, Usagi would be dead. At first, he says it as a joke, but now we realize that it's true. That their relationship works for the simple reason that they complement each other like a glove.
Tumblr media
This is true love 💓. Because we are into something that is mutual.
Misaki can convey that he doesn't like something, maybe with a little more effort than everyone else; but he CAN. He is a boy who has grown into an adult who intelligently recognizes desires, ambitions, fears, and affection.
He transmits and receives love; in all spectrums of the word. As we see in the last vignette. If you only saw it you wouldn't know who Usagi or Misaki are, because they are equals. They consider each other as equals and respect each other as one.
Do you know how much it took for Misaki to identify herself as someone just as valid as Usagi?
Junjou romantica, to me, more than a romantic story is the journey of overcoming a troubled boy through sincere love. It's Misaki's journey, and how this is just beginning, assuming that it will hurt many times and cost; but with Usagi by her side she will be able to overcome the gaps.
There is a reason why the story begins when Misaki is so young. He is 22 years old, just finished college. That is to say, he has all his life and is going to keep learning. Junjou Romantica is the beginning of Misaki's journey.
My favorite scene with Misaki as the main character is when he talks to his sister-in-law about his relationship with Usagi. That explosion of information and feelings they had inside her for years is something magical. I was in tears from how proud I was.
Maybe it wasn't the best confession, but he told her everything he felt, he conveyed to his sister-in-law all the time he has invested in the relationship with Usagi. That it would be for life.
Tumblr media
I was with Misaki, supporting him through everything, hoping for the best. I am amazed at how much he was able to convey with those words.
I felt his nervousness. At that point I was already crying, but I had to take a break when I read the following:
Tumblr media
So short. So sincere and so meaningful.
I don't think I need to say anything else. Misaki as the best character in the whole manga. First point finished 😉
Now, I know what they're waiting for.
Who they're waiting for.
Usagi-San.
Is he a good character or a bad character, are his actions justified, should he be forgiven?
First, a little vignette of the men we're here to analyze.
Tumblr media
One good thing I should point out: His obsession with teddy bears. That has a charm that's hard to ignore. Seeing a guy carrying a teddy bear all the time is wonderful.
In short; Usagi is a novelist, who has a bad relationship with his family and, in reality, knows little about human relationships. We realize this in the first moment, when he attacks Misaki, just for seeing him meddling in her things.
If I'm not mistaken, Usagi never had a steady partner before Misaki, but I want to sound like there was a thing with Hiroki, but I don't remember too well and, I don't really care either (I'll talk about my complicated relationship with secondary partners later).
Okay, so with that in mind, let's start with the bad stuff, just to get it out of the way.
What's up with falling in love with the brother of your biggest crush?
The younger brother, to boot.
I consider that to be the least realistic thing about Misaki and Usagi's relationship, because we're dealing with a replacement dynamic; which ends up affecting Misaki later on.
However, I think that if Nakamura, had the opportunity to remake the first volumes, that would be something that would change; because it is NOT necessary that in order to form a strong relationship between two characters it is mandatory that one has a crush on the other. Misaki's brother himself, is a living image of this. He never had any interest in Usagi in that way and yet, he considers him as her best friend.
(I will also talk about Misaki's brother later but wait).
The second thing I don't like are the attitudes Usagi has, I'll leave a little sequence, so you can realize this by yourselves.
Tumblr media
Context: Misaki is talking to Usagi's family and Usagi appears out of nowhere.
I mean, I know it's a joke, but it gets a little murky when we actually realize that Usagi is the kind of partner who would put her boyfriend on a damn GPS, so she knows where he is.
It's controlling.
Still, we can salvage a bit of the reasons why Usagi is that way, so distrustful even of the person he loves; but I must stress that this doesn't justify his actions either. His controlling behavior stems from how much he has struggled to form stable relationships in the past.
See, in the manga itself we are told how for Usagi, Misaki is the first person to cry for him. We are even told that this is what caught Usagi's attention, how Misaki's empathy was so high that he expressed all the pain that Usagi held back, all by himself; despite the two of them getting along “badly” at the beginning of the story.

That's the word: “Irreplaceable”. The main reason Usagi controls Misaki so much is that he knows that he will never find someone who feels the same things, at the same intensity as Misaki does.
Now, does this justify his actions?
NO, NO AND NO.
Let's not confuse motives with justifications, they are very different things, but that we have to realize in order to understand the characters a little more. Because if we start defending toxic attitudes we will be in front of a red flag, and maybe we should start rethinking what we consider love and respect.
Now, let's talk about being possessive, and we don't have to go too far in the manga for the first signs of this attitude to come to light.
Tumblr media
This character, who has been almost forgotten, was Misaki's first friend in the uni, when everyone ignored him.
And, in fact, he behaved as a cordial person with Misaki, he made him feel understood and integrated into that micro society that is the University. He even helped Misaki forget for a moment the insecurities that haunted him because he considered himself as his brother's replacement.
In other words, what I said in the first place. Direct effect.
Now. What ends up happening? That Usagi almost wants Misaki to be his. He stresses this to her on occasions where he tells him that he would prefer him to stay in the house 24/7, or in this house itself. Interfering in Misaki's personal relationships.
The good thing is that they're manga characters, so we're dealing with people who function on a scripted basis, but if the situation happened in real life, Misaki's friend would most likely have turned the other way.
Misaki wants to go out to eat with his new friend, but Usagi refuses because he finds himself jealous no longer that he has friendships, but that he is a man. He hates it when Misaki talks to other people, because in Usagi's mentality, that action in itself expresses a sexual interest on Misaki's part.
Which brings us to one of the first major conflicts.
Tumblr media
Misaki, for the first time claims that he wants it and Usagi what does he do?
He represses it.
That contradiction is what I hate most about Usagi, who then later complains that Misaki isn't clear with his feelings, that he doesn't hide things from him, what-the-hell-doesn't-he-do. Dude, you in Act 2, when the two of you, in reality, were nothing, not even an official couple; you silenced Misaki.
How does the situation end? With sex and Usagi imposing himself as someone who has greater authority with Misaki and, therefore, must obey him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I tried to cut the scene as best I could, because it is very explicit.
Honestly, this accumulation of attitudes is what makes Usagi a pretty despicable character to me.
It's a strong word, but unfortunately his pretty face doesn't help us to save points.
But well, not everything is bad with Usagi. But in order to highlight the good, it was necessary to identify how this character started in the story.
Because what I like most about Usagi, is how he recognizes that his past actions were wrong and tries to repair the damage caused in the future. Without repeating the same mistakes again.
For this we have to get to the beginning of the current arc, which I have called as “Confession arc” where the relationship of both, can no longer continue to be kept hidden and, therefore, Usagi understands that in order to form a relationship that is already “for life”, he can not continue to mistrust Misaki in such small situations.
It's not for nothing that the relationships that last the least are the ones with trust bumps. It ends up tiring both parties, and they fail as fast as they ascend.
So, the situation is as follows. We have Ijuiin Sensai, who is a mangaka that Misaki adores with all his life. He admires him greatly, but the only problem is that Ijuiin does harbor romantic feelings for Misaki.
This triggers several conflicts, as Usagi, again with his trust issues tries to “mark territory” with this mangaka. But this does not end up making Ijuiin himself see Misaki as a more “desirable” target. Following the logic that when you are forbidden something you end up wanting it more.
The interesting thing happens during Misaki's 22nd birthday, when Misaki and Usagi decide to travel and by the vagaries of life, Ijuiin meets Misaki. He confesses to him and even tries to kiss him.
At this point, we realize that Usagi, is watching everything from afar, seeing when he considers it an appropriate time to intrude.
The great thing is, Usagi doesn't intrude on this conversation. He does not decide to show himself, as he is confident that Misaki will be able to reject Ijuiin Sensei without further complications.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think at this point, Usagi starts to put his toxic attitudes aside, and tries to carefully follow Misaki's actions. Something that is really appreciated, because up to this point, I always felt that Usagi, on certain occasions "happened to carry" Misaki, for and for his own benefit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This vignette actually has more meaning than you think; it shows us that Usagi, despite being able to have it all, what makes her most happy is knowing that he is able to fully trust Misaki.
It makes him happy to know that the person he loves also fights for the same ideals.
Usagi is not a humble person, but we do not realize how in reality, the only thing he always looked for was that; love. Reciprocal and on firm pillars of trust.
My favorite Usagi moment is this one:
Tumblr media
If someone says something similar for me, I would hold on to this one without a second thought.
In this sentence, all possibility of failure is left out. Usagi throughout the manga has shown us that he does not intend, for anything in the world to let Misaki leave his side. He has fought against the ups and downs, for that.
To go through this life with him.
That perfectly condenses the character's purpose and how something as human as living can be made better if shared with the right person. Usagi already met him, and this is Misaki, and he is not willing for anything in the world to let go of him.
The Japanese don't have a particular and defined religion; they actually share traits of various religions they have in their daily lives, and JR as such has never really shown too marked religious references other than the typical anime/manga ones, such as the New Year's celebration. But I could say that this is the first sentence that has such a marked religious meaning.
There are various beliefs of death; the Catholic one is that we ascend to heaven and live in paradise, in others there is reincarnation, Shintoism, where humans become kami.
But the fact that Usagi has referred to “this life” transcends the religious, because he makes it explicit that he believes that in the next life he will be a completely different person.
The great thing comes when we realize that one life is full of experiences and hardships and he is willing to spend it with Misaki no matter what. Usagi believes that when he dies, in the next life he is not going to have Misaki and that makes him make the decision to live his current life with Misaki as much as he can.
Therefore, I consider this to be one of Usagi's best moments, for the simple fact that it tells us as readers that this is his final decision and that he doesn't plan to change for anything in the world.
A true: "Till death do us part".
In short. Usagi gives for a lot to talk about, considering all the background of the Usami family behind, but I prefer to leave this section up to here to go to another point.
The best brother in the world?
As I was commenting throughout the post, Misaki comes as a package, so to speak. In fact, there would be no Junjou Romantica without Misaki's brother.
Takahiro Takahashi.
I'm bad with names, so I'll just call him Takahiro or brother, just so we understand each other.
I consider Takahiro to be too good a person, and you can understand at a glance where Misaki got all the humility from: From her older brother.
Takahiro instilled in Misaki the values of hard work, honesty, and simplicity.
From the very first moment, we realize that this character is completely devoted to Misaki, to the point of putting his own dreams aside to take care of his little brother.
Takahiro is aside from this, the biggest hero to Misaki, as he is always the first person he looked to for a second opinion or support.
However, I consider Takahiro, starting from the last arc becomes such a cool character that would lead me to rank him as one of the best siblings I've seen in manga.
Starting with the point that it is not too common for the main characters to have siblings.
Tumblr media
THIS CARTOON IS TOO CLEVER.
Takahiro's main flaw is what you see up there; he still sees his younger brother as a child, who is not ready for the adult world. His wife tells him. That Misaki is no longer a child, that he should start seeing him as the independent adult he is.
This of course is going to reflect a shock to Takahiro, who has always sought for Misaki's welfare. Fighting for this with blood, sweat, and tears; defending Misaki from the obstacles that may come his younger brother's way.
But this made Misaki end up, in a subjective way; drowned.
Takahiro is overprotective, that's his biggest problem. Misaki is too important to him and for that very reason, he would like to be aware of everything that happens in his brother's life. He faithfully believes that he knows Misaki too well and trusts that Misaki could never hide information from him because Misaki, in one way or another, is "indebted to him".
Misaki, however, believes that the best way to settle that “debt” (which is the time Takahiro invested in Misaki's childhood), is to get away from Misaki. Letting his brother live a solitary life; with his own family, while Misaki tries to live the best life possible.
Now, clearly they will remain close siblings. I really love the brotherhood between the two because it looks too sincere.
On the other hand, let's have the conflict that occurs when Takahiro discovers his relationship with Usagi and his reaction.
IT WAS SPECTACULAR.
Because it was realistic, he didn't accept everything at the first time. He even gave a look of pure hatred to Usagi, who is his best friend, and took his little brother elsewhere.
Tumblr media
I feel, somehow or other this is no longer about gender. Takahiro doesn't care about the issue of Misaki being with another man, but the simple fact that Misaki has managed to make a person who is not him, become someone precious leaves him too shocked.
I feel that if Usagi were a woman, the same reaction would happen. Takahiro doesn't understand how this guy was able to get Misaki to express his likes and dislikes with such conviction, something that even he couldn't achieve.
This hurts Takahiro, because he hates to know that despite all the effort he made, Usagi managed to bring out a part of Misaki that even he, as an older brother, did not know. It is hard to assume and for that very reason he is perplexed.
Also, there's no denying that he even feels guilty, since it was thanks to Takahiro that Misaki stayed to live with Usagi and, consequently, the relationship was established.
Which brings us to this other thing:
Tumblr media
I applauded at this moment.
Simply spectacular.
Are we in front of one of the best sentences in the whole manga? I think so, because in this sentence Takahiro shows us that even he himself feels guilty of what Misaki has suffered.
He knows that one of Misaki's shortcomings is to apologize even for breathing, besides being aware that the reasons for this behavior are a result of the difficult childhood he had. And more than that, is the issue that Misaki is never going to feel totally “forgiven” for the death of his parents; we all know that they passed away from driving fast because Misaki was sick and this fact ended up marking Misaki for life.
Takahiro is aware that the weaknesses Misaki has are because of that. He never expresses what he feels for fear of a similar situation happening again due to a need of his, he apologizes for everything and tries to cope with difficulties too great for anyone.
The simple fact that Takahiro told Misaki that if he has a conviction (love for Usagi), he should hold on to it, is extremely important. Because it is the biggest gesture in which Takahiro realizes Misaki is letting go of that feeling of guilt little by little.
Now how does it affect him to know that his best friend betrayed his trust?
One image speaks for itself:
Tumblr media
You know what? The fact that Takahiro hit Usagi made me infinitely happy. Partly because it was the punch I wanted to give him in the first few chapters, but in another because it seems like a very human reaction to me.
Yeah, I guess I'm a fan of human reactions.
Now, let's understand Takahiro a bit. He fully trusted his friend, for Misaki to study in the desired university; no one would ever think that your best male friend would end up with your little brother, who is the light of your days.
In Takahiro's own eyes, Usagi took advantage of Misaki; of Misaki's shortcomings when he was still “innocent”.
Something he's not entirely wrong about because coff coff first chapter coff coff.
At this point Takahiro would feel too guilty if Misaki's relationship leads to having painful consequences for his little brother, because he somehow “introduced” Usagi.
I love that Takahiro has told him that he will never forgive Usagi if she hurts Misaki, because that makes family a priority for Takahiro and that no matter what, he will always support Misaki. He treasures him, and as he has continuously repeated; Misaki is his greatest pride.
Anyway, Takahiro of my favorite characters 💖

Choice of favorite chapters/moments pt.1:
To no one's surprise, I consider the best scenes to be from the 3rd season equivalence of JR's anime.
So I'll give a brief description of the situation, my feelings, and the importance in the plot.
Misaki's 22nd birthday.
Tumblr media
It is not difficult for me to infer why this moment is transcendental. First of all, there is the simple fact that during this moment Usagi understands that the fundamental thing is the trust he must build with Misaki and, on the other hand, there is the mere fact that it is a birthday celebration.
Birthdays, although they may seem stupid to many people, are actually something all too human that people do to get closer to each other. It celebrates one more year of the birthday boy or girl's life and wishes for many more.
Misaki's 22nd birthday, marks the beginning of the last arc, where important issues end and begin; such as college and the Usagi/Misaki relationship is put into further question by Misaki's older brother.
Marbles
Tumblr media
It happens during Misaki's 22nd birthday itself, but I consider it a beautiful moment to ignore.
Basically, Misaki teaches Usagi that with marbles you can make 3 wishes and Misaki later realizes that she made the same wish as Usagi.
This makes it clear how such a simple custom as making wishes on marbles can actually have a big impact on a person's relationship.
Without a doubt, Misaki always surprises us with how much he makes us feel, with things as simple as that. Nothing extravagant, just sincere love.
Misaki realizes that he wants to live with Usagi.
Tumblr media
Then Misaki's older brother starts to pressure him, saying that it is no longer appropriate for a boy, who is finishing college, to continue living as a “kept man” in Usagi's house.
In this context, Misaki is forced to spend a weekend with his brother and family, realizing how much he misses Usagi.
This chapter is actually very important, as something rather peculiar happens. We know that Misaki's older brother is one of the most significant people in her life and, despite having lived with him all her childhood, we realize that the four years or so that he has lived with Usagi have been enough for Misaki to no longer feel comfortable living in her older brother's home life.
Misaki realizes how much Usagi is missing in his daily life, how such a small action as spending a couple of days without each other is already too much.
They will say it's dependency… But I would call it.
Coexistence.
Misaki no longer sees Usagi's apartment as something foreign to his life, before it even felt uncomfortable. Now, he sees that place as the home he needs to recharge his strength. Misaki now realizes that he no longer wants to keep lying to his family about his reasons for living with Usagi.
Misaki wants to live his life with Usagi, in that home that the two of them have been forming little by little.
Clad in fond memories and overflowing emotions.
Which ends up triggering the following vignette, which I decided to include at this point because it is a direct effect of the above.
Tumblr media
Bonus: Misaki with kiki.
Tumblr media
I include this bonus because it is too adorable. It makes for a total icon. Just that, Misaki with a bow tie is the best. It's in these moments that I understand why Usagi is so crazy about him.
Who wouldn't be!!!
-✦───────────-✧
Honorable Mention:
youtube
Okay, this is the third ending of the anime and my favorite song of the anime. Simply spectacular. I highly recommend not only this song but all the Luck Life songs that are available on Spotify and on YouTube itself.
Now, a brief analysis of the song and its relationship with JR.
This is Misaki's song.
Maybe that's one of the reasons why I like it so much.
I could imagine Misaki in a karaoke singing it to Usagi. Because the song reflects how hard it is to express what he feels.
Even if I can't find the right words/ I want to tell you/ 'Cause just wishing won't change a thing./ I can't put it well,/ But I'll pour my heart into this voice/ So don't laugh - just listen.
This refrain aside, it reminds me a lot of the marble episode, how Misaki wants to be with Usagi forever. Sure he wants it, but even so he knows it won't change anything, so he decides to pluck up his courage and take the bull by the horns. He realizes that he can no longer be ambiguous or delay the inevitable.
Me pregunto si tú también/ tienes noches en las que piensas en mí.
We go back to the chapter of Misaki spending the night at his brother's house, feeling devastated at not being with Usagi. We all know that Usagi also felt the same way. In itself, I think this perfectly reflects the comfort level they have reached.
In this changing world, with the two of us unchanging/ You'd be by my side.
I have analyzed it throughout the post, but in short this is the main goal of the characters. To stay by each other's side forever no matter how much the world changes, even if they get older, even if there are new conflicts.
To stand by each other and face the modern world that changes without waiting for anyone. No matter what happens, Misaki wants to face that future with Usagi.
Do you see how much can be extracted from such a great theme song as this one?

Okay, so Tumblr won't let me post so many images and this is getting too long. I can say that this is the end of this first part of the exhaustive analysis of Junjou Romantica.
I'll be glad if you tell me if you share my opinion, if you think there's something I left out or, by the way, I'm wrong. I tried to make this publication looking at various perspectives and from a rather critical point of view, although, clearly, there are many things that I was influenced by due to my preferences.
In the next part I will continue with my favorite moments, I will talk about the secondary couples, I will make my predictions, I will also say other things I don't like and conclusions. If you have any suggestions or want me to take any specific topic from the anime/manga, in the next post.
I'll be happy to elaborate on it!
I hope you liked it! If so a reblog and a heart is appreciated.

So, Alix had the dog for a minute (and looked great, btw), which kinda made me think: Is it possible that the dog just doesn't get a permanent holder? Maybe Barkk just stays guarding the Miracle Box (not sure why if the dog is the only Miraculous still in it, but hey, maybe they get the Butterfly and Peacock back too, idk) and gets to go on the occasional "walk" when needed with whoever is closest? Like, Sabrina shouldn't be a permanent holder imo, just like Chloe shouldn't. Thoughts?
Tumblr media
I've repeatedly brought up just how...unflattering being presented with the Dog Miraculous is on the show. Its attribute is Adoration and, when someone chooses a holder for it, it’s presented as the stereotypical “dogged loyalty” attribute specifically. Sabrina gets chosen because she’s loyal to Chloé, who’s the most toxic friend in the entire show. Adrien also gets chosen because he’s so devoted to his family, with his father’s emotional neglect towards him being one of the show’s worst kept secrets at this point. Both Sabrina and Adrien are loyal to domineering characters the other characters hate. And the shape of the Miraculous is a dog collar, a symbol of subservience in human relationships. When it’s not being worn for devil’s tango reasons, it’s specifically for shaming reasons. A lot of the implications of the Dog Miraculous are shameful for its holder.
The idea that the Dog Miraculous gets treated as a reserve Miraculous would make all of this a lot less harsh. Few people would want to be associated with everything being a full-time Dog Holder implies about you as a person, but wearing it in an emergency situation is completely different. With Alix, the situation called for someone using the Dog, and she happened to be there. There was no shame of being associated with “dogged loyalty” involved.
In addition, Barkk becoming the Miracle Box’s Kwami guardian would be pretty fitting, and not just for the watchdog jokes. Barkk actually volunteers for this job themselves, and it does make sense that, since Marinette can’t keep an eye on the box 24/7, that someone else pitches in. Actually, no human can watch the Box constantly, so a Kwami makes perfect sense, since they don’t need to go to school or work.
In a system like the one in Miraculous Ladybug (where characters don’t just get powers they need to grow into, but where they need to actively keep proving they’re worthy of keeping their powers to a third party), untrustworthy people have no justifiable reason to become permanent Holders. As such, Chloé not being an option makes sense, because her motives are ultimately self-serving, which goes against the way the audience and characters are told things should be done, Similarly, Sabrina’s ultimate loyalty being to Chloé makes her more likely to serve Chloé’s benefit over the common good. Neither of them are trustworthy.

DETERMINATION ANALYSIS(/random notes I just made before bed) BEFORE I LOOSE MY ENERGY! GO!
"You look at her the way I wish you looked at me" -Kagami Tsurugi
"There are none so blind as those who will not look in the mirror" -Kagami Tsurugi 2017
Kagami means mirror-
Juleka is still muttering but louder I guess "Yeah, they might not" I can understand every word
"Hola, Comó Estas Amigo". She freindzoned him so fas-
Adrien said "AROUND" the Grevin Museum there's still hope!!!
Okay but like can we sprinkle a little Lukan- no? Yes? YEAH!
Luka and Marinette talk about her feelings also why are all of Marinette’s friendships solely about her they'll never make it out of middle school alive (the freinships)
Marientte's freinships are so toxic. They're always built around her and her only.
Kagami obviously still likes Adrien
Adrien is not surrounded by love Luka its a mix of love and hate get it right.
Lukagami?
AH! HE PLACED HIS HAND ON HER BACK!!!
Luka locks them in which is incredibly trucking stupid not only because he knows their identities but it's dangerous too like what if one of them has to use the bathroom or is claustrophobic or gets sliced by the second door.
Manipula has a sick design
No transformy? DANG IT!
The butterfly is so OP. He litteraly gave Manipula the power to bring the was statues to life WITH the powers of the original hero like why did he need the other Miraculous in the first place if he can just grant himself that power. There needs to be some more limits in this show.
Don't even get me started on the Rooster
Am I the only one who understood all the powers when Penalteam was leaked? The Goat, Dog and Ox were all easy for me to understand. The Rooster boggled my brain for a bit though since he said "any super ability"
We skip the kills for the boys. How sexist can this show be
The megakuma-card thing was cool and unique. I like when we get unique villan solution ideas and fights
Ladybug is a simp and it's hilarious
She basically said "Rawr, you've been looking fine lately"
The way the was Chat Noir meows-
Andre is a female dog
Manipula had a cool-looking magical charm
We killed Manipula but not Ivan.
"My feelings for you have... changed". Miss gurl setting herself up for disaster
"I finally found my true feelings" YEP. LMBO
"No Tikki, it's a Cat-Tastrophe" GURL 💀
10/10 would recommend

I agree with you, but I also really hate that Adrien is also very much creepy with his obsession over Ladybug at times and it never gets addressed (or made fun of) by the show and the writers despite it being much more common than Marinette's flanderized moments. The writers have acknowledged on multiple occasions that she can get "too crazy" over him and its fairly obvious they often use that as a reliable tool to humiliate her for comedy, punish her by creating grandiose repercussions, (legit can't believe what He said on Twitter during the NY special), and just making sure in the end she doesn't move on and let go even if she wants to because "status quo". But with Adrien they have never actually acknowledged his weird gross behavior with Ladybug/Mari, they take it far more seriously. The double standard is very obvious and it's a pattern in misogynistic writing.
see i never said adrien wasn't terribly written in this aspect either and I've talked abt adrien a ton at this point. i hate how it has to be this stupid contest. "yeah marinette's bad but look at adrien." "well adrien's only bad bc marinette steals his screentime and is mean to him."
see I don't like adrien his fans have really put me off i think a lot of his behaviour is toxic and manipulative whether he or the writers intend it to be or not. but I'm tired of talking about why i don't like adrien and seeing people make guilt trippy posts about how I'm a bad person bc i don't like adrien and seeing adrien stans whine about how marinette and luka get more love. it's so stupid and embarrassing to look at
and it's always been this way w lila. if you like lila you must hate marinette. you must have never been bullied before and think bullying is okay. why do my opinions on one character have to mean ANYTHING about another character. if i criticise marinette why does that mean I'm giving adrien a free pass on everything and need to be educated on how bad he is ackshully. im sure you didn't intend to be condescending or anything im just so tired.
i want to stop talking about specific characters and instead talk about how the entire show treats love and romance. adrien and marinette act the way they do and get treated the way they do because this show is heteronormative and misogynistic. marinette is the 'abhorrent admirer' trope while adrien is the 'dogged nice guy'. the show wants us to laugh at marinette when she humiliates herself but then pity adrien for his struggles. it's not really a matter of which character is better written or more interesting or more likable but how the narrative treats them.

Is Bird of Paradise Toxic to Cats?
New Post has been published on https://www.petculiars.com/is-bird-of-paradise-toxic-to-cats/
Is Bird of Paradise Toxic to Cats?
Most people love the vibrant ornamental display that these plants offer to your home. Their glamour and lively colors make these flowers look like very colorful birds, but are they of any danger to your cat?
Although Birds of paradise are lovely decorative houseplants, they can be really tough on your pet friend’s health.
Several different ornamental plants share the name Bird of Paradise. They are Caesalpinia pulcherrima (flamboyant-de-Jardin, Flos Pavonis, dwarf poinciana, the pride of Barbados, poinciana, peacock flower, or red/Mexican bird of paradise), Erythrostemon gilliesii (Barba de chivo, yellow/the bird of paradise push or desert bird of paradise),  or genus Strelitzia (crane flowers).
Strelitzia will be found in one of its five known species. Two of these species are known house plants and are called S. Nicolai S. reginae (the giant white bird of paradise or wild banana) and the other three are not considered ornamental flowers and will be named i.e., S. juncea (narrow-leaved bird of paradise or rush-leaved Strelitzia), S. caudata (wild banana or mountain strelitzia), and S. alba (Cape wild banana or white-flowered wild banana).
An interesting fact is that Erythrostemon and Caesalpinia pulcherrima are actually part of the pea family. Strelitzia, on the other hand, is part of the birds-of-paradise family of plants called  Strelitziaceae.
You might also like my articles on whether ladybugs, Aglaonema, and Mayo are safe for cats.
Are birds of paradise toxic or safe for cats?
These plants will feature some amazing blue base petals that arise from dark green spathes, which are in an upright fan of bright orange sepals. The leaves are evergreen and waxy and resemble banana leaves, but with pretty long stalks that sit upright and are attached to underground stems called rhizomes. They are very beautiful houseplants to own.
The short answer is Yes, the bird of paradise plants are very toxic to cats, but also to dogs and horses, with the highest toxicity coming from the fruits and the seeds of the plants, which could cause gastrointestinal irritations. The good news is that these plants will almost never bloom when kept indoors, which means that their toxicity would usually be considerably lower.
The most common symptoms of poisoning in cats will be vomiting, drowsiness, and mild nausea. This plant will also show some mild symptoms to people, but only when ingested in considerable amounts.
If you think that your cat might have eaten some Strelitzia seeds or fruits and you notice it having any of the symptoms I went through above, then you should take it to your vet as soon as possible for consultation and possible treatment.
I would suggest that you avoid these plants, along with dumb canes, snake plants, jade plants, Monstera Deliciosa, aloe vera, Schefflera, pothos, English ivy, chrysanthemums, amaryllis, sago palms, lilies, and other harmful plants if you’re a pet lover.
If you really need to have these plants inside your home, you should find ways of preventing the cat, dog, or other pets from getting to the bird of paradise plants. One of the easiest ways is by getting a cat-proof terrarium. Training your cat to avoid eating these plants also works, along with getting cat deterrents and repellents. You can even find safer alternative plants your cat can play with.
Even though you will make sure that your cat avoids this plant, the fact that it grows pretty large may make all of your efforts pretty ineffective. The easiest way of keeping your pet safe is by avoiding this type of plant in your home and going for safer alternatives like the Christmas cactus, the maidenhair fern, money tree, wax plant, Rattlesnake plant, pheasant plant, Peperomia, Goldfish plant, or friendship plants, among many others.
Caesalpinia and Erythrostemon gilliesii are very toxic
These two types of birds of paradise are even more toxic than the rest and should be avoided at all costs. Not only their seeds but also their seed pots are extremely toxic for your pet.
The Erythrostemon gilliesii was previously known as Caesalpinia gilliesii. This plant has a lot of hydrocyanic acid which is very toxic to cats and dogs and can cause symptoms like swallowing difficulties, poor coordination, vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, oral irritation and irritation around the lips and tongue, and even intense burning. It has been lethal for smaller pets like bunnies.
On the other hand, the peacock flower or Caesalpinia pulcherrima is very toxic to cats mainly because it has GI and irritants and tannins that lead to vomiting and diarrhea.
First Aid Treatment from Bird of Paradise Poisoning
You should seek the help of a veterinarian as soon as possible if you think your cat has eaten any parts of the Bird of paradise plant.
If you notice any symptoms of poisoning in your cat you should take it to a clinic as soon as possible, even if you didn’t see whether the cat has eaten parts of this plant or not.
If you don’t know a veterinarian that can help, you can contact the poison control hotline: The Pet Poison Helpline – 1 (855) 764-7661
Before you call, make sure you have information like the weight, gender, age, and breed of your cat, along with any symptoms they show and the toxin you think they swallowed, to make the phone call more productive.
There are a few things you can do until the veterinarian comes to your place, and these are:
If your cat is shaking or unconscious, wrap it in a blanket.
If your cat has fainted or is very weak take it outside or in an open place with enough fresh air and light. The cat will use some fresh air and some other symptoms might be visible in a better light.
Remove any leftover plant parts from around the cat’s mouth, from its hair, or its skin.
Try to induce vomiting if you think your cat has just recently swallowed the plant. If you never induced vomiting in a cat before, ask the veterinarian about this beforehand.
Do not induce vomiting if you don’t know when the cat has ingested the plant or more than an hour has passed since then.
Don’t feed your cat anything other than what the vet recommends.
You can give your cat some fresh water to drink if your vet is OK with this and the cat is awake and seems to be fine.
While you’re taking these steps, also prepare your pet to be transported to a close-by clinic.
You should NEVER wait for the symptoms to get worse before you do something.

I had a discussion with a LS stan where they (kinda) agreed with me that Marinette and Adrien have "problematic behaviors" but they still think they should be endgame bc "in Ephemeral and Chat blanc they were really sweet and healthy" as in "the end justifies the means". They really think no matter how problematic the LS gets pre-relationship it doesn't matter bc their problematic behaviors will magically disappear when they start dating. The worst thing, the writers probably think that too
ugh. just. just UGH.
i hate how so often that attitude is excused in romance. like, "the ends justify the means" is for your morally grey character championing the capture and torture of The Evil OverLord's only child because they could negotiate their surrender and end a war saving millions of lives.
"the ends justify the means" is not for your supposed "angelic" UwU princey babey boy harassing and insulting his love interest just because it'd discourage her from pursuing someone who actually cares about her, and instead these two get together and have 6 babies and 37 grand children and 2 hamsters and a cat and a dog and blah blah blah.
like man. I'll happily champion some enemies-to-lovers or rivals-to-lovers or even a toxic divorced middle-aged couple who hook up sometimes and cheat on their current partner/s because Toxic Horrible Drama That Is Oddly Entertaining. but there's just like, a total disconnect between the two mindsets.
like, in my opinion, a good enemies to lovers ship does not involve person A kidnapping and torturing person B, or gaining B's trust and then helping to murder person B's friend C, right in front of B's eyes. there's got to be like, a level of equality or grudging respect. a tit for tat so to speak.
if you need to justify the love square as "the ends justify the means" and there is no tit for tat (like name one time when Ladybug acted maliciously against Chat for something that wasn't his fault. ONE. TIME.) it just doesn't work and it really shows that there's a HUGE gap in the stans' logic and what they actually understand as a healthy relationship and honestly I blame the popularity of shit like Twilight and Divergent and how, as a society, people are not encouraged to look at media beyond a surface level appraisal of themes like love and friendship.
anyway. yeah. unfortunately, it's a pretty standard pattern of thought in purveyors of romance and i wish i could go around and beat the ml writers with a club for encouraging this.

This is probably a stupid question, but what is a miraculous salter?
I only really interact with the fandom a little. Mainly fics, like three tik tok mlb skit creators, and this and one other blog. So I'm really confused by an mlb salter? Is it just a person who constantly bad mouths the show and is never satisfied by anything?
Miraculous Salter is a term for certain people in the fandom who really do go the extra mile with certain things! In a bad way, in a very bad way..
Character Salting and Bashing are terms in the fic world to describe the action of taking a prexisting character and taking a metaphorical shit on their character. They basically take the negative traits, crank it up to eleven normally, and have their way with that in a story.
Of course this isn't always a bad thing! There's many people who write saltfics(where characters are salted) and are aware they are doing that and know the difference between their characterization that they are fully aware they're making and canon where they're explicitly different.
Of course this isn't always a bad thing! There's many people who write saltfics(where characters are salted) and are awar e they are doing that and know the difference between their characterization that they are fully aware they're making and canon where they're explicitly different. s have verbally attacked many other blogs and spitting very angry words with many other writers for differing opinions and over all have a nasty attitude about most things in miraculous that don't center around their favorite character.
There was a big boom in Miraculous Salters Around After Chameleon, which was where Lila turned the class against Marinette. The status quo was returned of course, but many fans were absolutely infuriated with how the characters acted while manipulated, many taking it personally.
And so stories about Marinette leaving the class forever for being horrible people happened, or Marinette doing something.. very drastic for the harsh 'bullying', etc etc the list goes on but
very common salt 'tropes' or characterizations common in the worst of it is Alya being an abusive and toxic friend who only cares about herself and her work and is willing to destroy Marinette's life for something more interesting, characters like Kim and Alix become dumb attack dogs, and Chat Noir/Adrien is characterized as a sexual predator- misogynistic- and more-
And because salters make these characters 'villains' they often give them 'karmic justice' as in, they just rip each character apart via Alya losing her entire job, family, and sometimes life- Adrien gets fired from being Chat and exposed to the entire world as a 'terrible person' and all of the class's dreams are crushed- and its supposed to be seen as a Good thing by the salter.
There's often tropes salters use that would seem Good but in actuality really aren't- like Chloe Redemption- where yes- yay redemption- but they use Chloe to step on other characters and she's characterized with very familiar traits.... fan of ladybug.. die hard friend to Marinette.. understands her boundaries, confident, and is fluid with many miraculouses....
sounds like Alya doesn't it? It's cause they give Chloe basically ALYA's personality. This is where it gets really complicated but there's basically this underlying racism involved with Alya salt which I wont get into but god- replacing the poc character with a white character and claiming the poc is evil after giving the white character the poc character's personality is uh- real bad-
ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE CLAIM THEIR SALT IS TRUE. Like they'll point at this demonic version of Alya and say "this is true and present in canon" and its- ridiculous utterly ridiculous..
Characters are allowed to have character flaws! That's a part of characters! But many salters have this idea that flaws and mistakes are eternal, and make every single bit of someone and thus must be punished for the rest of their lives like- WHAT 14-16 YEAR OLD ISN'T ENTIRELY STUPID SOMETIMES-
But yeah, that's a deep dive uh-
TLDR:
Miraculous Salting is not entirely bad as long as you keep it at a very moderate level and are physically able to tell what's fanon vs canon. It's a type of trope where you take a character and blow them out to a negative proportion- and.. yeah.
...ALSO THERES BATMAN A LOT FOR SOME REASON-

Fandom is a community, not a competition
There’s been some upheaval in the MDZS/The Untamed fandom.
To summarize, a fic and meta writer who imagined themselves a BNF made sock puppets accounts to harass folks in fandom who they felt were getting more attention than them or that they just didn’t like, leading to some of them leaving fandom entirely due to the abuse on multiple platforms. It also sounds like this person may have been passing off translated Chinese fics as their own, aka plagiarism. Apparently this behavior was seen in other fandoms as far back as 7 years ago. They are now blaming a “sister” who “manages” their accounts.
This will sound familiar to those in the Miraculous Ladybug fandom, as there’s a serial harasser there, too, who invokes their “sister” a lot as well. Well, among others.
I’ve been digesting this as the news came out, especially since this was a writer whose fics I was casually following, if they were indeed their fics in the first place.
Fandom is not a competition.
This particular fan seems to have operated at least in part in jealousy about the attention other fans were getting for their fanfiction and their meta. Instead of handling this in any mature sort of way, such as promoting their own work on social media, writing more, improving their craft, etc., they decided instead to drive these people out of the fandom. I guess so they could win at fandom or something?
Fandom is not something you can win.
It’s a community of people, and we have social responsibilities in this community. Namely, not being an asshole. Unfortunately, fandom has a lot of toxic people. Antis, for instance. Sexual harassers. People who threaten doxxing when they don’t like something. People whose idea of liking a character is hating another (along with anyone who likes that character) or vice versa. People who think the fiction someone writes is somehow real. People who form cliques to decide what is and is not allowed in a fandom based on their (often flawed) interpretations of the canon, aka fandom policing. Emotional leeches. Plagiarists.
Oh, the list goes on.
It also makes me feel old, because I see this behavior in every community I’m in, from academia to publishing to local physical communities.
This particular fan was engaged in more than one type of toxic behavior (including fandom policing), and apparently didn’t realize that the community keeps records. Toxic people always find victims or dupes, of course, sometimes even ones who perpetuate the behavior of their toxic abuser.
But those people are often relegated to the fringes of fandom, finding themselves occupying smaller and smaller territory as people refuse to deal with them.
You are not entitled to readers/an audience. When you break your social responsibilities, you lose that permanently.
This isn’t anything new, and my ruminations here about the issue aren’t going to change the fact that fandom, like every community, has a toxic underbelly that seeks to control everything like HOA Karen, the one leaving dog poop in people’s mailboxes when she’s mad their grass hasn’t been cut to her desired length.
Basically just another day in humanity.

11x09 - The Classroom - Analysis
Okay, let’s talk about this classroom. I said on Monday that pretty much every single image in the background is TD in some iteration. I’m just going to quickly go through everything we’re seeing.
Tumblr media
Behind Daryl on this wall are paper animals, including a cat, a horse, a frog, a bluebird, a rabbit a pig, and a black dog. All symbols we’ve seen used either around Beth, or just tied up with the resurrection symbolism in general.
Tumblr media
Also notice the deep-colored red and blue coloring smocks. It reminds me of the red cloak thing hanging in Beth’s cell.
Tumblr media
Look at the blackboard on the left. There are numbers and letters. You can read the questions, remembering this is a child’s schoolroom.
Tumblr media
But look along the extreme left-hand side. ABIBEL. Everyone remember the ABIBEL theory? Guys, this has been around since the prison in S4, but we also saw it on a chalkboard, very similar to this, at Oceanside when Tara ended up there. So, it’s always entangled in Beth symbolism.
Tumblr media
The blackboard behind them says Ms. Adams class. We wondered if that might be a biblical reference. It also says, “Remember, if you get lost in the woods (?) to S.T.O.P., which stands for Stop as soon as you realize you’re lost. Think about the situation. Observe your surroundings. Plan what to do. On the opposite side, there’s a lesson plan about preserving food. A note about always using the buddy system when you’re somewhere new, and a box in the middle that says, “What did you learn today?” Not sure all of that is terribly significant, but just so everyone knows what it says. Moving on.
Tumblr media
The small board in the background says something about how everything you do should Praise the Lord. Not surprising it would be somewhat religious. After all, this was Maggie’s community, and Hershel always was.
Tumblr media
Here, I want you to notice the paper lanterns strung across the room. Obviously a craft for the kids, but they remind me of Eastern or Tibetan lanterns, so they’re probably part of the Tibetan symbolism.
Tumblr media
In this picture is the board with the fill-in-the-blanks, all related to farming and growing food. Again, obvious this is Maggie’s community. Sam’s drawings are directly above this board.
Tumblr media
Now look to the board on the left. There’s something that says either Horse or Morse (like Morse code?) with a big green circle on it. Not sure what that is. I have an arrow pointing to the monkey, both because of the see/hear/speak no evil, but it also looks strikingly similar to the ones Emily posted the night she filmed at the white church (missing 17 days scenes).
Tumblr media
Now look at this paper about bugs. The ones that jump out at me are the dragonfly (might have been one of those in the chalk mural at the prison), the butterfly in the center, and the ladybug on the left.
Tumblr media
We’re not sure why there’s a line coming out from it, almost like a long tongue, but it’s clearly a ladybug.
Tumblr media
Next to the door Leah and the other Reaper come through is a red car and a carousel of horses.
Here’s a shot of the opposite wall. The ABIBEL is cut off here, but above the board are drawings of a yellow car, and a yellow robot of some kind. Yellow, we know. Not sure what the robot is about.
Tumblr media
And then next to the board is an interesting one. It looks like a spider missing two of its legs and a centipede. If you look closely, the spider has an orange hourglass on its belly. That means it’s a black widow. Look, spiders drawn by kids are one thing, but they usually draw friendly spiders, like the one from Charlotte’s Web. For a kid to specifically draw a black widow, and the disturbing imagery of it missing legs, is just weird. So, obviously purposely placed by the writers. We’re not sure what it means, but black widows are poisonous, so there’s that.
We saw spiders around Alpha a lot, and I want to say we might have seen one at the beginning of either Still or Inmates. So, maybe they just represent something toxic or poisonous about to happen. I can see this representing Leah. Daryl thought she was a good person, but she turned out to be poisonous, both to him and to TF at large. Just conjecturing, though.
Tumblr media
As Daryl emerges from his hiding place, we see both a sheep and a fish on the wall next to him.
So, what does the room mean?
This past week, my fellow theorists and I had a convo about breaking glass and what it means. I’m sure I’ll post it for you eventually, but I’m not going to the do the entire thing today, because it’s too long. The gist is that we think breaking glass represents the breaking of a barrier between the living and the dead. Symbolically, of course, rather than literally. Think of it this way. We often see hoards of walkers breaking through glass to get to the living, right? And the entire show is based on the dead coming into the realm of the living through reanimated corpses.
Tumblr media
So, what caught my attention here is that Leah and the other Reaper guy had to break through glass to get into this room. At first, I wasn’t sure if it represented Daryl being in the land of the dead, or Leah coming into the land of the living. I think it’s the latter.
Tumblr media
I know it’s kind of hard to tell from these pictures, but the walls of the room are mostly green. Not deep green. Kind of a yellow-green. But when I deeply saturate the color, it’ looks more green than yellow. Either way, both colors represent Beth and her survival.
So I think this represents Daryl fighting for himself and his family in the land of the living. Leah and her Reaper buddy represent death symbolically, because they’re literally looking for Daryl and his group to kill him. They break through the barrier (glass) and he has to hide in one of those hidden rooms. There’s definitely a theme about hiding from death. And the hidden rooms are part of it. It’s something we should explore more deeply, but for now, I think this is what they’re going for here.
And why show this, specifically, now? I’m not entirely sure on that one. I think it’s important that it’s tied up with Leah and the Reaper arc. It’s probably either a foreshadow or a parallel of some bigger theme. But they might have also just taken this opportunity to give us tons of TD symbolism, because as I said yesterday, I think everything in every one of these episodes is pointing to Beth’s imminent return.
That’s about all I have for today. I’ll finally talk about Sam’s pictures and Negan leaving tomorrow.

(She gradually finds comfort in Amon's Mentorship)
Bustier - Toxic Positivity/Repression
-
Adrien - Corruption (Night Howler)
--
Amon is the villain instead of Gabriel
Night Howler(Chat Blanc) would be an alternate timeline where Adrien was the first corruption
Amon corrupts vulnerable ppl because he feels if they become his, then he can protect them
There is no secret identity rule, it is a choice
Season 1-2 is set in their 3rd Collège year 13-14
Season 3-4 is set in their 4th/Final year 14-15
Except for Juleka and Alix who were held back a Grade
(This makes Timebreaker make more sense)
Though they were held back at different times
Juleka repeated her 2ed year of Collège
Alix repeats her 3rd
(Alix is technically new alongside Alya, but used to be an upperclassmen)
Alix used to be in Luka's class, Juleka however did not
Because of creating Adrien and Felix, Emilie used up all of her stamina and fell ill
Adrien and Felix despite seeming like teens, have only been around for 6-7 years
Here is a snippet of Ivan's and Amon's deal,
-:Stoneheart:-
After spending time in the principles office, Kim would continue to tease and bully Ivan
This leaves him to be much more frustrated after school, which he leaves immediately to avoid him
After finding a sulking frustrated human, Amon decided to try to help
Though it gets confusing before he gets Ivan to clarify that 'like' refers to 'courting'
He offers Ivan that he can awaken his power to stand up for himself and help him confess
Though Ivan is a little skeptical, with a push of Anon asking,
"It's your choice, you can either continue to hold in your feelings and be tormented by your peers, or accept the power to stand up for yourself and finely court your lover. All I ask is that you let me help and stand by my side. So what do you say?"
- Amon
"...you've got a deal." - Ivan

Request: Fem s/o with Bucci gang were they are not a couple yet, but definitly "something" and there is idk maybe some kind of party and reader is dressed cute and they can't stand attention she gets from others(not in the toxic way ofc), so at the end they are offical couple and reader is finally only theirs??
(This turned into a scenario/headcanon combination!)
Tumblr media
BRUNO BUCCIARATI
Bruno is pretty calm in terms of his feelings. He doesn’t show his romantic attraction in a level that others will understand his love-feelings.
Working for Passione he probably attends some gala-mafia parties in clubs were they party with others and make acquaintances and deals. In one of which he attended with the other members of his gang, her being one of them.
Bruno was dressed in a dark blue suit with white dots and golden zippers , similar to his normal one but fancier. While he spotted s/o in the club dressed in a dark blue mini dress with some dark blue heels and a golden necklace.... Why did she do that to him? Bruno acted casual and nicely complimented her. She did the same.. I mean he is a tall slim gorgeous guy , how could she not. Meanwhile he noticed he wasnt the only one giving her attention. I don’t think Bruno would do anything more that accompany her and confront these people if they make her uncomfortable ect. At the end of the night he asks her out on a date for two days later. But who can wait? His s/o will just confess her feelings in the places balcony and honestly Bucciarati couldn’t be happier! Now they have to tell the gang..
LEONE ABBACHIO
Leone... sweet sweet Leone thought he was collected and could stay calm until he saw her. As per usual he was dragged by Bucciarati and the gang into a party where he stood by the wall drinking wine and judging people.
He decided it was time to move a little when he saw her walking up to him.... It could have been the wine influencing him but she looked gorgeous! Dressed in a dark violet maxi dress with a side slit , black heels and a long necklace she approached and greeted him. He did the same and they sat by the walls of the place chatting. While that didn’t stop any men from coming up and talking to her.. She didn’t want to be rude but was clear on the fact she was fine by her self although they didn’t stop. It only took Abbachio a glare and a sigh to warn them off. He then told her if she wanted to get out of that place and go back to the head quarters so they did that. He took the corrage to confess on the way. The next day when the gang asks where were they , she got anxious knowing Leone is closed of but he stepped on to give the answer “She was with me. Any problem?”
FUGO PANNACOTTA
Fugo is still pretty young. But he is calm and matured but sometimes still a teen. He would be attending the party only to make mafia deals and for business perpuses only.
He is dressed in a dark red or green suit while talking to people or following Bruno around. I think he really hates those parties but not for long... Bruno told him about a new member of Passione and how he should make acquaintances with... Little did he know that ‘acquaintance’ would be a stunning woman he was secretly eyeing the hole night. she seemed disturbed by some bastards catcalling her without a mean to stop, there he found a moment to shine and stepped in to get them away. After that they talked and became.... a little more than acquaintances. They scheduled a date while Bruno who had been secretly watching chuckled saying “Seems like the deal went more than well didn’t it?”
GIORNO GIOVANNA
Ok.... Giorno is serious when in business so he would never do anything in a work setting ( this one takes place in a club) He was drugged into the party by Mista who wanted to show him the party ‘experience’.
While coming into the building Giorno followed Guido while they found a corner to sit. Mista took off after a little bit to dance and talk to some girls and he decided to go refill his wine glass. There amongst the girls bothering him he stumbled upon her. Those two were in the same situation with people following them. Giorno whore a yellow-golden suit with golden pins and light pink ladybugs while she had a mint green dress on with a pink clutch. Needless to say they both looked fabulous! Both chuckled when noticing that they where in the same position with colour contrasting clothes. They started a conversation in order to avoid all the crowds and after half an hour found Mista. Mista of course gave a smug look in Gios direction and let those two alone. They started dating and when Giorno introduced her to the gang he wasn’t surprised at the fact that they already knew everything from Mista who had made a bet that the experience at the club was love at first sight.
MISTA GUIDO
The definition of cliché. Mista is going partying every other week and is used to flirting but it was never love, or more to say, love at first sight.
One of those days he was out alone when Bruno told him to accompany him into a club-mafia party. He was dressed into his usual attire with the only exception of a semi-cropped blue suit jacket. He was standing behind Bruno making deals and started getting bored when he saw her. She was dressed in a red middle length dress and sitting by the punch bowl. He approached her and by surprise she was the one to start conversation. He leaned in to it and by the end of the night they were both having the time of their lives while Bucciarti who met her too, was happy to leave them alone. He later noticed loads of guys were into her so he stepped in rapped a hand around her waist telling them he was her boyfriend so they would leave and after that he laughed it off, smiling. She just kissed him as an answer. Those two hitted off quick.
NARANCIA CHIRGA
I am horrible at writing Narancia sorry, I love him tho! He was at a party with Mista, classic.
He stood there bored as hell listening and vibing to the music. He was wearing his casual-normal clothes when he saw there was a karaoke corner. He looked at the songs only to see the next one coming was (insert one of snoop dogs songs). He JUMPED onto the stage and started singing! (Why do I headcanon Narancia being a good rap singer??) After the first 30 seconds he noticed he wasn’t the only one on stage. Standing by him was her. A smiling woman wearing black clothes and a colourful belt singing with him. Boi fell in love! After the song he introduced himself and started chatting with her. He didn’t do anything other that stair when others talked to her as she always declined. After a while he asked her if she would want to go out with him somewhere else and she accepted. Mista saw them leaving and Narancia didn’t hear the end of it for days. He informed the gang about his partner immediately.
Sorry this one came late! I so badly want to describe outfits for them lol!

Cat’s Not-All-Encompassing Character Ranking
Okay, so I have to admit that I omitted a lot of characters I don't have strong opinions on. Most of them were one-off akumas, so don't get your panties in a twist, your faves are probably still on here (and ranked lower than you think).
As a preface again, these are just my personal opinions. They can't hurt you. You can still like characters more or less than me. And I don't care how you feel about them. This list is for me. And the person that asked for it. So shut up. Go make your own rank list if you’re so butthurt.
We're going in reverse order this time, starting from the bottom:
84. Gabriel Agreste- I mean, is anyone surprised? I am not private about how I think Gabriel should go to jail. Or fall off a cliff. Or be erased from existence. Rip to those that like him, but I’m different.
83. Thomas Astruc- Honestly, he’s down here on principle. Self-inserts are generally a no-no, and I just laugh every time I see him on screen because he really put himself in this show and said boohoo no one appreciates me XD
82. Bob Roth- I feel like this one should also be obvious. He’s just a dick. Terrible human. I give him 0 stars.
81. Tomoe Tsurugi- We all collectively hate her, right? It’s not just me?
80. Su Han- This mans has small peepee energy. And he bad mouthed Fu, so get FUCKED, my dude.
79. Rolland Dupain- Listen, I get it, he liked Marinette in the end, but I could do without the racism.
78. Nathalie Sancoeur- My opinion of Nathalie took a nosedive after the s2 finale. I just do not care that she is in love with her boss. Don’t care that she’s dying. Just do not have it in me.
77. XY- Justin Bieber ass wannabe.
76. Nora Cesiare- I didn’t care for Nora. I know Thomas loves her, but the overbearing sibling trope is tired.
75. Anarka Couffaine- I underestimated how much I don’t really like her. Like, it’s not full-on hate, but I just do not care for her.
74. Otis Cesaire- Got akumatized because a kid said he could outrun a panther. I’m still not over it, Otis.
73. Andre Bourgeois- No love for the crooked mayor. I hope your wife divorces you.
72. Alec Cataldi- The real villain of Stormy Weather. Like fr why is he such an asshole?
71. Roger Raincomprix- Is Officer Roger just doing his best? Sometimes. But like sometimes this mans just needs to take a chill pill.
70. M. D'Argencourt- Please get out of the 1600s
69. Ella/Etta- These two are basically the same character, and I am indifferent to both of them.
68. KnightOwl/Barbara- Listen, I would have liked you more if you were less controlling.
67. Majestia- Same as above, but like I guess I like you more
66. Theo- *Mean Girls principal voice* Stay away from underaged girls!
65. Andre the ice cream man- I just want a scoop of chocolate, Andre. Is that too much to ask??
64. Amelie Graham de Vanily- We haven’t seen much of her, but she seems like a snake bitch.
63. M. Kubdel- I mean, if my son wanted to resurrect an ancient mummy and believed in aliens, I’d give the family heirloom to my daughter too.
62. Jalil Kubdel- Lolol, buddy, pal, dude, my guy. Chill.
61. Vincent (Adrien's photographer)- Head empty. Mom’s spaghetti. Idk he’s alright.
60. Manon- I don’t hate Manon. She just gets on my nerves every time she talks.
59. M. Ramier- This mans got akumatized a billion times because he gets emotional about pigeons. I mean, honestly mood.
58. Mme. Mendeleiev- She doesn’t put up with Chloe’s shit, and we respect her for this.
57. Baby August- Someone just give this mans some food. He’s a growing boy.
56. Santa Claus- If I were Santa, I too would list Ladybug as the best kid in the world.
55. Art Teacher- He doesn’t even have a name, but I vibe with him. He seems like he likes to paint scenes of nature with his pet squirrels.
54. Prince Ali- Lil mans just wanted to have a good time. I can respect that.
53. Duusu- Duusu, I get that your Miraculous was broken, but get with the program, girl. You is a hostage.
52. Other Kwamis- Idk, all the ones we haven’t seen as much. I don’t have real opinions on them yet. Just neutral.
51. Sass- He gives me dad vibes.
50. M. Damocles- You go, you funky owl man
49. Jean (Chloe's Butler)- He deserves a raise. What is your name, sir? We may never know.
48. Mireille Caquet- She’s pretty cute. No complaints.
47. Aurore Beaureal- Baby’s first akuma. I love her design. She’s a cutie.
46. Claudie Kante (Max’s mom)- This womans just wanted to go to space and live her dream. We stan a hardworking queen.
45. Hot Dog Dan- I like him more than Andre the ice cream fraud. Sure, my hotdog might turn me purple, but if I ask for chili on it, I bet he’d oblige.
44. Nadja Chamack- I mean, she’s doing her best.
43. Audrey Bourgeois- So, as I said in the episode ranking, I have a love-hate relationship with Audrey. She’s the worst, but that’s why I love her. I love her ironically. Like, yeah she’s atrocious, but I just want to watch her burn the world.
42. Luka Couffaine- Directly in the middle, like he’s always been.
41. Nathaniel Kurtzberg- My opinion of Nath improved after Reverser surprisingly. I ship it.
40. Chris Lahiffe- I like Chris better than Ella/Etta. He’s just a little mans out here living life wanting to grow up. Don’t believe it, Chris. Stay little forever. Being an adult suuuuucks.
39. Fang the Crocodile- The goodest boy.
38. Nooroo- I just want to give him a hug.
37. Mlle. Bustier- She’s doing her best, but I mean, when ya whole class keeps getting turned into supervillains, I’m surprised she’s not an alcoholic.
36. Penny Rolling- I just like her. I think she’s neat.
35. Ondine- Mermaid queen! She’s so sweet, and I love her with Kim. I hope we see more of her in the future.
34. Marc Anciel- Marc is a little cutie bean. Idc if he’s based off one of Thomas’s irl friends. He can stay.
33. Wayzz- He loves Master Fu so much I cry.
32. Felix Graham de Vanily- I know everyone hates canon Felix, but tbh he exudes massive chaotic neutral gremlin energy, and I actually kinda vibe with that. And he pisses with his uncle which is a whole ass mood.
31. Tikki- Tikki is very cute, but bby please work on the preaching. You don’t always know what’s right, babe.
30. Sabrina Raincomprix- Sabrina deserves better. I hope we see good things happen for her.
29. Lila Rossi- Surprised? I actually like Lila. The first fic I ever wrote for this fandom was a Lila redemption. I think she is a good antagonist and foil to Marinette. I absolutely want to see her get dunked on in canon, but that doesn’t mean I hate her.
28. Wayhem- I don’t know why, but Wayhem makes me laugh. I love him XD
27. Uncle Cheng- He’s just a good mans with a birb who wants to make you tasty food. What’s not to like?
26. Trixx- Trixx shot up after GoS. Chaotic bean make Eiffel Tower go bendy
25. Jess- She’s pretty cool. She’s a vibe.
24. Aeon- The cutest bean!!! She saw Adrien and Marinette and said yep. Those two are meant to be together. Jess, we gotta make it happen.
23. Ivan Bruel- Ivan is such a gentle bean. We love him.
22. Mylene Haprele- Smol
21. Fei Wu- I still have not watched the Shanghai special with subs, but I liked her.
20. Gina Dupain- The grandma I aspire to be.
19. Marianne Lenoir- I love her. She is good. She and Fu are so cute. And she seems like she would have kicked le ass back in the day. (and even now)
18. Rose Lavillant- I am so excited for Pigella!! Rose is too cute. We love her.
17. Gorilla- aka Adrien’s real dad. If the series doesn’t end with Gabriel getting yeeted into the stratosphere and Gorilla adopting Adrien, I don’t want it.
16. Clara Nightingale- She’s in love with Marinette. You can’t change my mind. 16 is also how old I hc her to be, so don’t nobody come for me.
15. Tom Dupain- Most. Supportive. Dad. Soft bean. Just wants to make you fresh bread.
14. Sabine Cheng- Good mom vibes. We love to see her.
13. Juleka Couffaine- Shy goth bean. Just wants to have her picture taken. Definitely a lesbian. We stan.
12. Nino Lahiffe- The goodest boy. He’s just out here doing his best, loving his friends.
11. Chloe Bourgeois- Chloe is another one I have a love-hate relationship with. Her brattiness is funny to me. We had high hopes for her. Honestly, she ranks this high because I like to play with her in fic.
10. Max Kante- He smol and smort. And I adore his friendship with Kim and the fact that he made an AI himself at 14. What a legend.
9. Alya Cesaire- Rip to Alya salters, but I’m different. Outside of Chameleon, Alya is fine. She’s a supportive bff. All yall people that are mad she doesn’t kiss Marinette’s ass all the time need to go out and make real friends. I said what I said.
8. Alix Kubdel- I love Alix. I love how she is always so done with all the lovey-dovey bullshit. She is tiny queen, and Bunnix, while OP af, is still super cool. We love to see her.
7. Kagami Tsurugi- I will fight anyone who shits on Kagami. She has done nothing wrong, you guys are just haters. All she did was exist, and yall said, wow what a toxic bitch?? Disgraceful.
6. Jagged Stone- We are going to ignore the deadbeat dad trope that canon thrust upon him. He is a Marinette stan, and we love that.
5. Kim Le Chien- I really love Kim, you guys. Does that surprise you? Listen, my favorite male character types are sweet beans and himbos. Kim is both of these.
4. Master Fu- If you didn’t pick up on how much I love Fu from the episodes ranking, then idk what to tell you. I want him to be my grandpa. I would trust this mans with my life. He did his best. You paint those pictures, you funky little man. I love you.
3. Plagg- My galaxy trash man. Love him. 10/10 chefs kisses all around.
2. Adrien Agreste- The biggest Marinette stan there is. I just want him to kiss her on the face. And marry her. Idk, I just think that would be neat if he could do that. I just want good things for them.
1. Marinette Dupain-Cheng- Honestly, are you surprised? I have always been and always will be a Marinette stan. If you expected anyone else to be in this spot, then clown suit rentals are off to the left.
