hello! could u maybe write something for elrond where he gets injured saving reader and she shuts off and starts avoiding him because it made her realize she loves him and she panicked? maybe she's a widow like him too? if not thank you anyway <33
I love Elrond so much so of course! Have fun reading!
Warnings: injury, near death experience, battle (so expect killing as well), angst (with happy ending) -> nothing graphic tho
A/N: the reader is an elven woman in this oneshot but let me know if you would like something else ^^
word count: 1676 words
Elrond x Fem! Elf! Reader: Elrond gets injured and Reader avoids him
Tumblr media
Although Elrond never enjoyed putting his people's lives in danger, he would never refuse to assist those in need if requested. That is how he ended up in the middle of a bloody battlefield where armor, weapons, and bodies were being flung around like nothing. He was skilled enough in combat to protect himself from the enemy's blades, though. No matter how many orcs tried to attack him, he easily defeated them.
The battle raged on, the sound of blades deafening those involved. Arrows sped through the air and soon struck their victim, whose cries were barely audible. The elves fought with unmatched skill and grace, and Elrond slowly led them to victory. By that time, the orcs were outnumbered, and the elven Lord had some time to look around and aid his kin.
Amidst the chaos, Elrond caught sight of you, a brave and spirited elven woman, fighting alongside your people. You were as competent as anyone on the battlefield, but it so happened that you became trapped, surrounded by enemies, with no way out. Elrond jumped into action and moved swiftly to get to you without even pausing for a second. His blades cut through your foes before they could strike you down. Once they were all dead, he took a glance at you, trying to check if you were hurt but before he could proceed, an awful strike hit Elrond. He stumbled back, clutching his side, his face twisted in pain. The sight of his injury sent a shiver of terror through you.
"Baw (No)!" you yelled as you circled around Elrond to slay the orc. Your opponent died because he couldn't get his sword out of the elf's body in time.
Even though you wished to help Elrond, you were unable to do so since your foes spotted the opportunity and approached him. He fought bravely despite having a serious wound, albeit his posture wasn't as steady as before. You held your ground and defeated as many orcs as you could before the enemy decided to retreat.
When it was safe to do so, Elrond fell to his knees and groaned in pain. You rushed to his side and helped him to find a comfortable position. Shouts could be heard from afar, but you couldn't quite make out what they were saying.
"Everything will be fine." with great effort, Elrond reassured you, his voice strained but filled with determination. "Mae carnen. (You did well)."
You tried saying something, but words simply didn't come out of your mouth. Some fellow elves came to their Lord's aid as you stumbled back to give them space. It only dawned on you just now that if you hadn't found yourself in this situation, Elrond wouldn't have been injured. Everything after the battle happened so fast, the elven Lord got safely brought back to Rivendell, where the healer's immediately began to work, while the rest of the elves slowly traveled back.
It didn't feel real to be traveling back to your home. It was almost as if you were seeing with your eyes but your head was blank. Seeing Elrond on the ground had left your face pale. Everything that had happened felt too familiar. It seemed like the day's happenings were right out of your nightmares—the nightmares about losing your beloved spouse. You started crying as you thought back to that terrible day. After they passed away, Elrond was the one who helped you recover because he knew how painful it was to lose a loved one—possibly the most precious of them all. Elrond was the one who took the time to help you heal by lending you his wisdom.
Your sobbing became more intense with each thought. You had come to a realisation as you reflected on the time you spent together, the comfort his presence provided you, and the coldness the separation brought you. You suddenly realized what you had been experiencing while around him. It was love. You considered yourself dumb for only realizing that at the last second, just as you might lose him. And you were genuinely horrified by that.
Tumblr media
Weeks passed as Elrond received treatment for his wounds in the security of Rivendell. When you learned of his recovery, you felt both relief and anxiety at the same time. Overwhelmed by the weight of your emotions, you withdrew, avoiding Elrond's presence, afraid of what your feelings meant and the vulnerability that accompanied it. But, Elrond being Elrond, you knew he had noticed it. Since you two were close, visiting him while he was recovering would have made sense. And yet, since the battle, he had not seen you. You ached to be by his side, to console and comfort him, but you were unable to.
As Elrond slowly regained his strength, he sought out your presence. Every time Lindir came by to let you know that Lord Elrond had asked for your presence in the gardens, you would come up with an excuse not to go. You avoided him at every turn, anxiously waiting for him to pass through the corridor. You could see how his gaze searched for you in the halls, but you were nowhere to be found. Elrond became very concerned and yearned to know why you had been avoiding him. It was unlike you to act like this.
Determined to understand the cause of your withdrawal, he sought you out, finding you in the quiet solace of Rivendell's library. You had been reading a book, trying to take your mind off of the elven Lord. That was until a gentle tap on your shoulder turned your attention away from the book. Your stomach dropped as you realised who had disturbed you. He took a seat beside you, without asking you first.
"What are you reading, exactly?" Elrond asked with curiosity.
Suddenly forgetting what you were reading, you looked down to view the cover. "Oh, I just grabbed something off the shelves." You tried to avoid making eye contact as you shook your head.
Elrond grew silent, noticing how even now, you tried to run away from him. It broke his heart that you grew to resent him so. If he had to be honest, Elrond fell for you a long time ago. He never really showed it but he longed for someone who could understand his pain. And then you appeared at his doorstep, asking for support after the death of your spouse. At first he just looked at you as a friend, but those feelings soon grew. If you hadn't expressed your disinterest in dating, he would've said something sooner. But being the gentleman that he is, he respected your bounderies and tried to move on. The problem was that he couldn't.
"Please, mellon nîn (my friend)," he began softly, his voice carrying a mix of concern and vulnerability, "help me understand. Why do you avoid me so? What has come between our friendship?"
Those words stung. You sighed, unable to give him a straight up answer. But you knew Elrond valued honesty so you gathered all your strenght and looked him in the eyes. "I cannot express it, Elrond, for I fear if I do, history will repeat itself."
Elrond looked deep in thought, carefully deciding his next sentence. "I'm not quite sure I follow." he admitted.
You looked away, trying to hide your pained expression. "The battlefield, brannon nîn (my lord). It was my fault."
"It hardly was." he shook his head, slowly sliding closer to you. When you had not moved away, he reached out to grab your hand.
"You nearly lost your life, Elrond!" you yelled. "If that blade was aimed just a bit higher, you would've dropped dead! And it would've been because of me! Because I was incompetent enough, to let myself get trapped!"
"Please, do not think of yourself this way." his pained voice could be barely heard. Elrond's eyes widened in shock at what you were saying. He in no way had blamed you for his injury. "Any of us could've been in your situation. You fought well, you came to my aid when I needed it. Why do you put yourself down?"
"I just..." you sighed. "I can't lose you too, Elrond."
His grip on your hands became firmer. "Is this the reason for your withdrawal?"
You hesitated for a second, then nodded. Although it was difficult, there was a part of you that wanted him to be aware of your worries. No matter how hard you tried to turn it off, that self-indulgent part of you wanted to be comforted by him. "My feelings, they terrify me. It's as if acknowledging them would make my fears come true. After I lost... them, I didn't want to put myself through the pain of loving someone but on the battlefield I had realised that I had already broken that promise. You matter so much to me that I cannot even express it with words. I have fallen in love with you, Elrond. And it scared me."
Elrond took each of your words in carefully. He pondered on them for some time before giving you a nod. Elrond's gaze softened as his hand reached out to gently cup your face. "I understand your fear. Loss leaves deep scars upon our hearts. But shutting ourselves off from love only denies us the chance to heal. I, too, have felt the sting of loss, the ache of a heart once broken. Yet, here we stand, with an opportunity to experience something quite beautiful together."
His words shocked you. "You feel the same way?"
"Chin gelair chîn orthernir guren (Your radiant eyes conquered my heart)." Elrond smiled at you.
Finally, when he whispered those words, you felt the warmth of his presence spread throughout your body. Elrond welcomed your hug as you threw yourself into his arms. Although your worries have not vanished, it helped a lot to know that someone was by your side.

Scorchfur! He has gotten more attention recently because people started to realize that being named Cloverfoot Berryheart and Buster(Rippletail)'s father means that he was mates with Snowbird as an apprentice, which while being funny at least, I'm pretty sure was just an accident with the Erins not paying more attention to the timeline. His first appearance is in Eclipse, during the battle of the eclipse when Hollypaw brings Shadowclan cats to aid Thunderclan in the battle he and his mentor Snaketail jump in beside her, The same battle in which Snowfur stays behind in the nursury with Tawnypelt's kits. He tends to be a hothead in his early days, quick to end disputes with claws, he jumps into a boarder skirmish with his mentor against lionblaze, while the rest of the patrol remains with their claws sheathed in long shadows, and during the final battle though he is injured severely he tries to jump back into battle while Littlecloud treats his wounds, saying 'I'll fight to the death if I have to."
Scorchfur is actually an interesting guy, since he’s almost like the B-list Actor version of a warriors character in A Vision of Shadows, with more on the page than your average cat but very specifically lacks the autonomy and notoriety that most main characters, or clan leadership gets. And this is true of many characters in that arc, I was going to summarize all the things he did but it ended up being a lot and I was starting to feel like I was yelling in font of a conspiracy board of why didn’t I notice that this guy existed when I read these books, he should have been as memorable as Brightheart or Mudclaw but he just wasn’t for me. And I think it’s because the narrative itself doesn’t treat him like a noteworthy individual, he represents shadowclan, not his opinion, and when he speaks characters reply to him as if he’s one of an entity of shadowclan cats who don’t like leaders and not as Scorchfur. This is true for all of shadowclan at the time, Spikefur, Ratscar, Snowbird, Grassheart all have speaking lines and opinions, but they’re treated like a personless group instead of individuals.
Anyway list of things he did During AVOS include: Distrust Violetpaw for being non-clanborn yet defends her in front of Onestar, be extremely critical of Rowanstar and eventually Crowfrost for the sickness in shadowclan and rogues hunting on their land, be extremely distraught over Snowbird catching the incurable yellowcough, come up with the idea to use Twigpaw as a hostage to try to convince Windclan to give them Lungwort, Tell Rowanstar that he can forget about coming back from a gathering because the clan wasn’t participating with clans that abandoned them and Rowanstar was too weak to lead them signalling the entrance of Darktail and the Kin, Jump first into the battle against Riverclan starting the fight, argue with Darktail about feeding their prisoners and almost loses his standing (and ability to protect/ feed his family) over it, Help puddleshine cure cats instead of fight during the liberation of Riverclan, Feel immediately dissappointed again by Rowanstar’s indecision in the six toed cat prophecy and throw claws with tawnypelt about it, argue with Rowanstar/Puddleshine about annexing with Skyclan because the clan wasn’t consulted or warned and only decides to comply for the warrior code of it all, lives peacefully in Skyclan until Leafstar refuses to allow his pregnant daughter to return igniting what will become a grudge, conspires to hide her in the old shadowclan camp until she is discovered and allowed to stay, assists Juniperclaw alongside his mate in Junipers attempt to poison skyclan by distracting the clan destroying dens, Is not included in the blame for that event (not even mentioned at all!) and in fact escorts juniper to captivity and guards the den, cheers for his daughter Cloverfoot when she is elected Deputy.
Many characters accuse him for wanting power but He Doesn’t, he just thinks everyone else is doing it wrong until Tigerheart and Juniperclaw Cloverfoot are elected. In the next arc his spirituality is defined as being dogmatic and easily swayed by the atonement narrative, partly because he’s led to believe an injury he sustains that also kills his clanmate is a sign that they must atone. Once that’s clarified as being false he is supportive to the rebellion agains the imposter. In the Starless clan arc he is still a warrior, and has been seen doing warrior things (he was on the patrol to riverclan in sky to retrieve catmint) but otherwise has taken a back seat.

Random but I want to start collecting all the possible scenarios for the byler storyline in s5 that I can think of and I'm gonna do this here and update when I feel like it... I don't know how it will happen... but I want to write down the possibilities that make more sense to me 🤔
1) Mike and El break up at the start of the season then we have a time jump of two years and Mike and Will are super close and share sweet moments all the time after, to the point that Will somehow finds the courage and kisses Mike first in a sweet way but Mike reacts by being kind of stunned by this/doesn't react, and then we have a little bit of drama with Will (and us) thinking Mike has rejected him officially but in reality Mike is just having all of the universe make sense at once and his brain crashed, he tries to still be close to Will but Will is all awkward trying to avoid him and they end up fighting and Mike realizes that Will was talking about himself in the Van and the whole speech he made for El was prompted by a lie... Will thinks Mike cares only about El and is suffering so they fight and he says something mean to Mike and Mike is hurt by this and Will thinks he ruined their friendship forever and then other stuff happens and the second kiss is Mike reciprocating Will's feelings completely starting a proper kiss between them
2) Mike and El break up during the time jump (that is only a few months in this case) somehow only after months Mike finds out about the painting but he doesn't get why Will lied, he's hurt by the break up and he's also confused and asks him why he lied and Mike basically wants an explanation because he feels like he's losing all the people in his life because first El doesn't want him and now his best friend lied to him about a serious thing that he connected with his self worth, but Will refuses to confess his feelings because he's too scared and they have another fight but where they don't say anything bad to each other, Mike is just hurt and confused and Will keeps inventing excuses... it still ends with Will running away and trying to go to the Upside down on his own, Mike decides to follow him anyway be he can't lose him and they get stuck together in the Upside down where tense/electricity stuff is happening all the time... Vecna attacks them and they are tortured with mind visions, Will makes a speech to save Mike where he confesses all of his feelings for him and explains everything, after the battle is won and they have a moment of peace in the basement on the couch Mike kisses Will
3) Mike & El break up and Mike fully realizes he has feelings for Will before and during the time jump but he thinks Will is straight, we get Mike pining over Will all season and them having sweet moments until they get stuck in the UD together where Mike dies to save Will from Vecna but Will brings him back with his new powers and makes a love speech for him at the same time, Mike wakes up and they kiss while crying of joy that Mike is alive... like in all the other scenarios the ending is always them leaving for college together!
4) Mike and El are still together, El found a way to close the gates but Max is still trapped and in a coma for all the months of the time jump, El and Mike are not in a good spot because she feels misunderstood by how Mike tries to stay positive all the time, they have an ugly fight and she breaks up with him harshly saying to him that she doesn't believe he loves her in that way and that they shouldn't be together like that, Mike is shook by this and starts feeling like this doesn't make any sense and tries to go to Will for comfort but Will has been trying to move on from him so he's not exactly thrilled to hear Mike complain about his relationship with El but he wants to help and Mike is confused because he thought that El felt like Will said because of the painting... Will ends up revealing his lie of the painting because he's bitter because he thinks that for Mike those words had value only if El thought them... Mike is shook again and he starts to understand everything and re evaluate everything and how he thought about romantic and platonic love... UD stuff happens and Mike ends up putting himself in danger for Will and almost dying and when Will asks him why he would do that because that was a stupid thing to do Mike says "They say LOVE makes you stupid... and crazy" and he kisses Will

Here's a quick. Thing. They're All God's (except LBH) AU. This is like, the ending. no i dont explain anything. i just wanted lqg to get melted down and rebuilt. you know, as gods do. this does have an open/unsatisfactory endind just fyi haha
When he loses the first time, Liu Qingge refuses to acknowledge it. It doesn't matter, after all, as long as he tries again he can change something. He returns the second, third, fourth, fifth times.
He has lost count when he realizes that the something he has changed is in him. With the same heaving blood soaked breaths he coughs up at Luo Binghe's figure, something has been changed in him.
Of course. He cannot be the God of Breakthroughs if he cannot break through.
He keeps losing.
Each battle he marches into is another dig at his once spotless reputation. He feels his divinity and grace slough away from him like dried mud. Still he faces Luo Binghe every day.
It forges him into something else.
When Shen Yuan reawakens, not dead but Ascended, Liu Qingge stops his fruitless battles.
Shen Jiu is with him. At some point the God had shed the title of Qingqiu as trees lose their autumn leaves. Still the God of Bitter Fall and Uneven Ground, of Unfair Advantages, but now also of Cunning Thought and Persistence. He hasn't changed, Liu Qingge realizes. He's just revealed more of who he is.
Shen Yuan is, as always, Shen Jiu's compliment: God of Bountiful Harvest and Smooth Travels, and of Cutting Words and Sloth.
Shen Yuan has, thoroughly, molded himself into the perfect God for his precious demonic pet. Luo Binghe will never want for a single thing ever again with the God of Easy Living walking by his side.
Liu Qingge wants to avoid them both. Everyone else is already aware, but from these two he wishes to hide his failures for just a little longer. However, the core of him is settled in such a way that he cannot find it in himself to pull away.
They want to see him.
It's no surprise that when Yue Qingyuan invites him to a banquet, Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan are there as well. As ever, Yue Qingyuan's bias shines through.
"What did you do?" Shen Jiu snarls from across the banquet hall.
"Who— oh Qingge!" Shen Yuan turns and catches sight of him as well.
Tension rises in Liu Qingge's body but—they've already seen. And if, somehow, they are too dense to understand, any one of their God siblings will explain it. Poorly. So Liu Qingge stays.
Shen Jiu is, of course disgusted. Shen Yuan intrigued.
"I thought once gods Ascend they do not change." He comments curiously.
"They don't." Shen Jiu hisses. "They can adapt perhaps. Split. Acquire or shed new epithets or old ones as we have. But they do not change. If they stop being what they are, then that God simply ceases to be."
"It's as it is." Liu Qingge shrugs. "I'm still a God—"
"Of cycles." Shen Jiu accuses.
"Reliability!" Shen Yuan insists. "Qingge is always dependable."
"It is no great thing if you can only depend on him to lose." Shen Jiu's dark gaze is calculating and Liu Qingge understands that, somehow, Shen Jiu knows the whole story already. That he simply needed to see Liu Qingge to fit the pieces together.
"He doesn't lose!" Shen Yuan defends, loyally. "Qingge has always been there when we needed him!"
Silence descends on the banquet hall like an awkward blanket.
"What, did—have I missed something?" Shen Yuan asks, glancing sharply around.
Yue Qingyuan, belatedly, ushers the rest of his guests out. Liu Qingge supposes he must be grateful that Luo Binghe isn't here to enjoy rubbing Liu Qingge's nose in it. Shen Jiu will, assuredly, have no problems doing it instead.
"It's exactly as Shen Jiu says." Liu Qingge starts. "Fighting Luo Binghe has irrevocably changed me." He says.
What he doesn't say: I cannot win against him now even if he deigned to throw the fight.
Perhaps, to Shen Yuan, the change isn't so dramatic. Shen Yuan had never wanted Liu Qingge to win that battle anyway, and Liu Qingge has ever been Shen Yuan's most reliable God-Brother.
Once upon a time, Liu Qingge was a War God. There were and still are many gods of war: strategy and prowess, blood and conquering, weapons and trade.
Liu Qingge was the breakthrough. The final push. The turning of tides. The culmination. He had never failed to turn a lost cause into victory, there had never been a battle lost to him if he meant to win it.
But then Shen Qingqiu became two, and then Luo Binghe built a shrine and Shen Yuan wasn't prepared for his tribulations and then—
Well.
Liu Qingge is a War God. Of Cycles, Shen Jiu says. Of Reliability, Shen Yuan insists. He is the God of forlorn hope, of having only one spear and one sword, of hunting phoenixes in mirrors. The same battle retread for the same reasons.
#kamaeteWRITES#svsss#i have so many thoughts for this au but i dont actually want to write it haha#lqg gets a major downgrade explicitly because sy wants lbh to win SO BADLY#sj is PISSED btw#lqg's new status does not affect sy AT ALL because sy is like 'oh lqg is never defeated uwu so of course he will win (unless it's v lbh)'#and the universe is like 'yeah sounds right'#so sy never sees an appreciable difference#SJ on the otherhand instantly recognizes the drawbacks of this#sj knows the moment lqg gets in a battle where someone needs him to lose badly enough that their prayer can impact the threads of reality#lqg will lose#since he's lost his 'i am literally the god of winning' halo#knowing this of course means sj (also as a god) (who can impact reality) is ACTIVELY making it worse!!!! because he cant stop worrying abou#lqg losing.#lqg is doing his best to NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANYTHING#it's up to yqy and everyone else to stop him from getting into anymore echo-battles that will reinforce an untoward reputation#lqg Hate This more than anything#he wants to fight and win against lbh SO BADLY but the universe literally wont allow it now#lbh could let lqg push him off a cliff and the universe will conspire to also drop lqg to cushion lbh's fall#literally unless the GOD OF LIVING WELL (best revenge btw) stops backing lbh's ridiculous protagonist halo lqg cant win#that's the actual story btw! shen yuan actually realizing how broadly he impacted lqg's fate specifically#yeah he was going to die originally because The God of Winning can't lose which means he just Died instead#but now sy has to grapple with how affected lqg is with his new god domain#half the story would be sy realising that and the other half is sj trying to alternatively strangle lqg to try and get that to echo#that is sj wants to also become one of those people lqg is just destined to lose to#(will never happen—sj is too used to lqg winning against him. it's what sqq used to rely on#so that he never Fell like any of the other demons. lqg simply would Not Allow him to.)#and also putting in the work to get lqg's reputation as spotless shiny as it used to be so he can still basically function as their spear#anyways. like sure only having one spear and one horse is difficult#but if it's lqg's spear and horse there's nothing to worry about.

Less Popular Danmei Character Tournament
CWs: genitalia mention, death, animal mention, slavery, murder, cannibalism mention, prisoner exchange, sex, misgendering as a joke ("princess")
Shen Zechuan from Qiang Jin Jiu
Submission: he just serves absolute cunt and is absolutely insane. like we joke about characters being crazy but shen zechuan is the 1st one where ive paused reading and said outloud oh bitch you are absolutely out of your mind. Give it up for ruthless chronically ill schemers with a sense of loyalty so strong it becomes a fatal flaw and who are also at all times 100% devoted to the ppl they care about
The son of the Prince of Jianxing, who betrays the empire out of cowardice, that must survive when his entire family is to be killed for treason. There’s actually a scene at the beginning of him losing his brother in a battle and (I believe) returning to realize his father has run away
Another of the “chronically ill schemers” type and incredibly ruthless when necessary
Refuses to die or despair; he WILL survive and will turn things around - fate can be damned
Gu Mang from Stains of Filth / Yuwu
Submission: He’s my little guy
He’s the tragic ML who betrayed the MC while also being the biggest fucking clown / the comedic relief
He truly believes he’s a fucking wolf at one point.
Essentially, Gu Mang was a slave in Murong Lian’s household, which led him to meet the MC, Mo Xi, who is a noble of similar standing to the Murong clan. He eventually becomes the General-in-Chief of the Wangba Army (later renamed to the Northern Frontier Army bc it was a funny name) and fights for the Chonghua Empire. However, since the Wangba Army was made of slaves, not a single of his fellow soldiers were given a proper burial, which - along with other reasons - led to Gu Mang defecting to an enemy nation (that also killed Mo Xi’s father and may or may not be cannibals).
The story begins when said enemy nation trades Gu Mang back to Chonghua as a prisoner of war with parts of his soul gone, causing him to believe he’s a majestic blue wolf. The summary is a tiny bit misleading, albeit not wrong - “they’ve slept together before” is actually more “they slept together multiple times while Mo Xi, at the very least, is incredibly in love with Gu Mang.”
Gu Mang’s also pretty funny, even with his memories gone, albeit the inherent tragedy is overwhelming. Idc what “evils” he committed… the Lotus Pavilion thing or whatever was fucked up. The author is so brutal to him, and for what? Funsies? (<--mainly joking, but it’s a SAD story… I’ve cried so many times)
Anyway, Gu Mang Did Not Deserve This 2023
Yan Zhengming from Liu Yao: the Revitalization of Fuyao Sect
Submission: Winner of the award for highest number of times I’ve called a man a “pretty princess”
Apparently has a fantastic character development into the Sect Leader (I’m not that far), but he’s also just a pretty princess <2
He’s the eldest disciple of Han Muchun / Fuyao Sect who was born into a rich family. He ran away at age seven and became Han Muchun’s first apprentice/disciple. He’s similar to a spoiled young master character, but he doesn’t really bully anyone; he may try to bully/clash with Cheng Qian, but I don’t think he wins (been a while since I started it - he’s like 15, and Cheng Qian is ~9-10 at this point)
“Strict with others but lenient on himself” → responsible Sect Leader pipeline, More at 10 pm

So, uhhhhhhh.
Howdy y'all. Been a minute since I've really been around here. I mean, yes I've been reblogging and stuff, but like...that's roughly all the time I've had to do? Just pop in for a bit or so, reblog and head off again.
Gonna do my best to keep it short, but I'll also put it under the cut to keep the base post short to most. Here goes nothing, I guess?
TL;DR: A family emergency back in June literally caused my entire summer, which I had originally planned to be my most creative and focused time for projects and art and stuff, to be watching after and living with a family member up until the first week of October to make sure they would be okay. I then took a week vacation this past week to visit my girlfriend and I was so relaxed I didn't do anything else, either. I am gonna need time to get back into the groove on here as I process and reassess what I wanna do for my blogs for the rest of the year and from here out.
To start, I am very glad that I made sure my great uncle was fine for sure, the whole time I was living with him. I just also realized that, now that it's over, being his immediate caretaker for three-to-four months? Life really stole my summer and everything fun I wanted to do this year. It sucks. It's not entirely his fault, but hrrrrmgle.
So, June. I was hearing how wet and frequent his coughs were and was trying to get him to go to Urgent Care/go see his primary (which he assured me he didn't have one when I always am the one making his appointments for him), but he continued to refuse and fight me the entire way. He does this to everyone who tries to tell him how to do something he doesn't want to hear, so I just took it and knew he'd realize sooner or later this was a losing battle on his side.
That came the day he went for his dentist appointment and he ended up having a cardiac episode in the chair before they started. They called me right back and I took him to the hospital. They gave him so much stuff to bring his heart rate down, like holy shit. Thankfully, since the dentist didn't start with anything, there was nothing to worry about with drugs fighting with other drugs. I stayed there until his stepdaughter finally got off of work and I was allowed to go home after a pretty draining and traumatic day.
Oh, that reminds me. I said it wasn't wholly his fault about how this summer turned out. That's because there's another character here, his stepdaughter. She will be referred to as S from here out. While I'm at it, Great Uncle will also be R and S' daughter will be K. K is pretty cool, though, so you probably won't see her here as much as the other two, considering.
So, S is an interesting lady. She is about as old as my mother and acts like she's 22 still. Nothing against her wanting to be that way, but it made it very difficult to genuinely talk with her or see her at any point that wasn't on her time and when she was in town. Most of the summer, she barely came to visit despite everything. Every weekend, she went out partying or camping or out of town/state because she couldn't handle all the stuff with R. You can guess who that fell to, obviously. And the fact that S assumed I was gonna take care of him for her anyway, bleh. Yes, as he's family and I care about the people I care about, but assuming all that and I had to find this out later and from someone else? Not a great impression there.
Took a dinner break here, so where was I? I visited him in the hospital when I could, mostly. He was moved around so much and going through procedures and the like I barely caught him in passing. The day he was let out and moved to rehab, however, I was sure to go visit him ASAP. I made sure he was settled, met the nurses taking care of him and the schedules for medication.
He didn't have an amazing time there, according to him. However, this is because of two very important details: He didn't want to be there and wanted to be home already and that he needed to complete rehab to get home. You can probably imagine where this is going, yes. He refused to do his bare minimum of exercises and the like and then wondered why they were keeping him longer, even though they wanted to see him go and make a full recovery.
Another detail that's important is that one of the doctors in the hospital sent him to rehab with a defibrillator vest. This doctor apparently didn't explain it to him, any of his nurses at the hospital, none of them at the rehab center and most of all, me. So, this was a 6-pound burden for us all that reeeeally pissed him off especially. The damn thing would beep for any reason and while there was a book for each beep, every message shared the same beep! You wouldn't know the reason until you cross-checked the manual! And the damn battery pack kept nailing him in the shin, too. Augh.
Eventually, after a short time and a big tantrum from him that required S and I to be there for his patient review (in which S also had a breakdown because of this), he finally realized he couldn't get out until he kept the vest on and did the harder exercises to build up enough strength to be let go to go back home. And then he was, about the second to last week of August. And that's when I moved in to be his caretaker and help him with stuff around the house while he got used to it again.
The longest part came next, all his follow-ups with doctors he saw in the hospital to give him a clean bill of health to drop the defibrillator vest fully or drop it to get an internal one installed. All these follow-ups took end of August through to the end of September and his patience for everything was so worn thin. Every little thing agitated him and he never wanted to do anything extra outside of what he HAD to do. It was very frustrating for everyone involved trying to help him, myself included.
Finally, we came to October 2nd. The day he finds out about the vest and his medical stuff going forward. We go in and see the doctor. He's a very nice man and he's doing his best to do his job and let R know that, while he should be okay to take off the vest now, he needs to still be careful as he could plummet in health at any moment if he overdoes anything or even does super nothing (ya know, stagnant type nothing). Of course, R only heard that he could take the vest off and that's what he was waiting for. He was suddenly very energetic and headstrong that the doctor then quickly tried to let him know we'd still need to see him in a few months and make sure everything is okay. He even offered we come in later in the week for him to get a light defib shock to fix his heart rate from afib.
This, of course, is not what R wanted to hear. He was done, as far as he was concerned, and didn't want to do anything else. It started with a 'No.' and soon turned into a full screaming match, only from his side, to the doctor just trying to make sure he'd be alright going forward. Once the doctor realized there was nothing he could do to change R's mind, mostly from a motion from me that it wasn't worth the argument, he dismissed us as professionally as he could and everything. We left and I grabbed his card, just in case anything happens, ya know?
We're downstairs and he's so proud of himself for that outburst. He got what he wanted to hear and wasn't going to take anything else for anything he didn't want to hear or realize. We went to lunch and I just sort of clammed up for the rest of the day because it wasn't worth the effort. He didn't apologize after he calmed down or anything. He was just so proud of himself and it pretty much made me feel nauseated.
Since that was just a week or so ago from this, he started to get a big head. He was good to go and didn't need anymore doctors or meds and or anyone to help him. He started getting visibly and vocally frustrated with me, so I figured that was a good time for a short break from each other. Went back once or twice to get my stuff like clothes and food from living there for two-to-three months and then saw him off that last Saturday for October 7th. I was so anxious and everything, especially with hoping he'd be alright while I was gone.
I told S and K I'd be taking a week vacation and then go back to pre-cardiac episode (once a week every Wednesday or whatever day if he had appointments). Never heard back from S, but I thanked me for everything I had done all summer and said my kindness and love would be paid back in time. One of my great aunts, married to one of R's brothers, said the same thing. I believe them both when they said that too. I didn't need it, but I guess affirmation and validation that I did a good thing was worth it, after all it had taken out of me.
And then I went to Missouri to visit my girlfriend (@somechubbynerd ) for a week. I was so relaxed and so forced to not do anything I didn't have to that I sort of just existed in a time and limbo of bliss? I have high anxiety as it is and, not feeling it for the first time in years, I sort of didn't know what to do with myself?
My girlfriend helped loads with that, though, by guiding me through places she wanted to take me and spend time with me. We cuddled and watched YouTube together. We baked cookies and made a chicken fettuccine dinner together. We went to the zoo together and then to one of her favorite restaurants in the same day. She made me so at ease and helped me be myself for once that I sort of just was so mind-numbed into pure bliss and peace with myself.
It felt great, looking back, but I just genuinely didn't know what to do about it. I hadn't felt that in years and I am still feeling it as I write this now. It feels so nice and so calming. This is awesome, given that I actually went in to urgent care for a panic attack that was gonna put me out for a few days, back in June/July. It sucked so much, but I'm glad they helped me recover so quickly. I couldn't afford to be down for too long. I am so essential to everyone around me and to be there for them, even if I know that they all can't always be there for me.
My girlfriend, as well as a few others, made me realize I probably need to start saying no more. Not because it's to be a bastard, but I can't give myself away like this again and again and get so little in return or no time to recover from the last thing. Obviously, I should still do stuff on a basis I choose, but yeah. Maybe I should say no a little more. It also made me realize that, while not anyone's particular fault, my summer was stolen from me. This summer was planned between my girlfriend and I, as well as a few mutual friends, to work together on art, writing and projects we have been invested in for a year or more and have to keep putting off due to life and work stuff. This was gonna be the summer we were all available...and then we weren't.
I'm still processing these last three months and the year or more so far, since I finally had a break long enough to realize what's going on with myself and my life and someone to bounce my thoughts off of that I couldn't with family. It has opened my eyes a bit more about my circumstances and what the near future might hold for me. I miss my girlfriend so much already and I felt so bad I wasn't crying as much as she was when she had to drop me back off at the train station, but I guess I was still processing it too?
Yeah, still processing things. Probably for a bit, too. I'll probably need some time to ease back into things here. All my blogs and what I was doing before sort of disappearing for a long time and also being interrupted from a lot of threads I wanted to continue or even start. I hope you all can be patient and understanding with me and I'll do my best to do the same. I love y'all and nothing will ever change that, okay? I just need some time to figure myself out again. Yeah. Just need more time...

New stuff I’ve thought of over the past week for the Suspect One AU (working title) !!!
It’s basically an entire plot line so!!
Spoiler stuff ahead!
Ya know how Akari gets dropped into Hisui with the Arc Phone and the mission to “seek out all Pokemon”??
YEAH, SO
That, but Ingo and Arc Transceiver (his xtransciever is it wasn’t obv) and his mission is!!
“Protect my champion” or something like that
“champion” used in the terms of like “one who fights on behalf of someone else” That champion is Akari!!
Ingo still loses his memories, but the Arc Transceiver tells him his purpose, and while he doesn’t know who this champion is yet, he knows that’s what he’s supposed to do
stuff continues on as usual, Ingo quickly becomes part of the Pearl Clan and becomes Lady Sneasler’s Warden not long after
About a month after Ingo arrived, Akari arrives, however
She is a small child, like think 2 or 3 yrs old, starting to talk, but not yet forming coherent words or sentences
She has the Arc Phone, and seeing as it has the same symbol as the one on his Arc Trans, he knows immediately that this is the so called champion.
The Phone is just,,,, blank. doesn’t turn on, but we are DERAILING HERE SO
Akari ends up w the Pearl Clan. No one knows why this literal CHILD has fallen from the rift, and no one knows what to do with her. She has no name or guardian
Before he figures out about the Arc Phone, Ingo is sympathetic for the child. He sympathizes w/ her, but he’s not sure how to care for a child, so when Irida suggest it (”she’ll need someone who understands what it’s like to not know where she’s from” or some other logic, haven’t fully thought out that interaction)
So he tells her he’ll think abt it, fully intending to flat out refuse, and just goes back home to Lady Sneasler. He ends up seeing the glowing Pokemon (arceus) who “gave” him the Arc Trans in his dream that night, and it just repeats, “protect my champion” and Ingo is like “???? Who? Is that?”
It happens twice more before Arceus realizes how dense this idiot is and goes “oh my ME, the CHILD”
Ingo is hesitant at first to take her in but he??? does?? and he calls her Akari (it just felt like a good fit)
Yes this is a dad Ingo AU, and it literally took reading ONE FIC with dadgo in it for me to go “HOW COULD I FIT THIS IN THE AU?”
Anyways, Irida gives him the Arc Phone when he takes her in and it just stays in a drawer for ages while Akari grows up
fjhejkunhukchnek this text post is jumping all over the place in terms of chronology but jkfhkjef idc!
The first time Ingo runs into Melli again after adopting Akari, it’s just “there is a child on your back” “yes” “???????” “yes” and Melli doesn’t bring it up ever again, Ingo just has a daughter now, okay??
Time jump 9 or 10 years to the point the main part of the fic actually takes place in, the Arc phone eventually activated, giving Akari her mission.
Ingo doesn’t tell her immediately. At this point, Akari is like 12/13, and Ingo has become fairly protective of his daughter. But she finds the device and he explains to her what it is
After a week of constant nagging, he finally caves and she joins the Survey Corps (I know the game states “you look to be around 15″ but like I’m gonna ignore that and make it 13. Akari’s actual age is not known. They assume her to be around that age, so they’re like “yeah sure”)
Her first Pokemon is one of Lady Sneasler’s children. She literally hands just an egg to Akari. The Professor still gives her one of the PLA Starters because you cant battle with an EGG.
She chooses Oshawott, coz Dawn uses a water starter and also Dark type helps against Psychic type, which is good against Sneasel’s Fighting type and I want her to have a balanced team so technically Oshawott is her first mon?? Pax the Hisuian Sneasel becomes her main Pokemon so
She was raised in ancient Hisui rather than present Sinnoh, so she has some semblance of responsibility, but she still has a natural gift for catching Pokemon, plus with her dad being a great battler and battle strategist, she’s got that going for her, too
Also because Ingo raised her, she’s picked up some of his mannerisms, like the pointing, train terminology, saying incomprehensible (to other Hisuians) shit like “All Aboard”
No inside voice w Akari, she was raised by the loudest person in all of Unova
A few months after she’s joined the survey corps, Emmet arrives with the help of a certain time traveling pokemon, and said pokemon get’s injured
Akari finds him, thinking from a distance “was that my dad???” but realizes it’s not
She’s heard her father talk of a memory of “a man who looks like him, but in white” as well as that Zoroark often try to trap him w this
Naturally she is cautious, is this a zoroark? But he doesn’t ask for her father, and he has an injured pokemon, so she decides, “screw it, lets help him, Lady Sneasler will be able to tell if he’s a person”
And she is! After she does a double take because !! That is her Warden? But it’s not?? Is it??
“my dad is a warden, he’ll help your friend”
One of the funniest things is that, like, in the years they’ve been existing in the highlands, Ingo and Melli have somewhat become friends
mostly Melli just needed someone to complain to and Ingo was the only person around
he actually listens, too! unusual for melli
Melli has definitely developed some sort of crush and uses every excuse to be in his personal space
Ingo, despite not liking physical contact much (autism Ingo go brr), has grown accustomed to his fellow warden just draped over him in a dramatic fashion complaining about e v e r y t h i n g
Also personal headcanon time! I see Melli as AFAB nonbinary he/him. he uses cloth wraps to bind, and has trained his voice to be more masculine sounding
He often hangs out at Ingo’s house when his binding wraps have been washed and/or are drying because he knows Ingo will call him by his proper pronouns regardless
that info all adds up to a glorious scene that i am drawing where Emmet and Akari arrive at a time when Melli is Not Binding, but is draped over Ingo in his dramatic fashion.
Akari excitedly greets her dad and Melli (she def knows about Melli’s crush. she approved)
Meanwhile Emmet’s brain is just short circuiting while he takes everything in
Melli with blue hair, who is draped over Ingo
Ingo with silver eyes, who hates physical contact, who has been missing for 10 years, and who always liked the name Akari
Akari, who has blue-black hair and grey eyes, looks to be around ten years old, and has greeted Ingo as “Dad”
not to mention her Pokemon is clearly the pre-evo to Lady Sneasler, who’d greeted Ingo as though she were his Pokemon
He has no idea what is actually happening but suddenly he’s like “omg he has a family back here he is never going to want to come home why didn’t i look into if he had a family”
Meanwhile Ingo Does Not Recognize Him(tm) and upon seeing the injured Celebi, he just carefully takes it from a very still, very unresponsive Emmet and immediately starts to administer care to it
Emmet’s arrival in Hisui is what triggers the frenzy of the nobles
IT IS 10:50 PM I AM GOING TO BED BUT YEAH ENJOY ALL OF THOSE

The real tragedy with Jaeha to me, outside of the recent events, is his realization that he's losing his usefulness for yona, and even starts to chain her down. I think. This is all in my head for now truly but I'm like,, damn he sure is taking the L a lot recently! so I pray this will be adressed later on but you know at the beginning of the castle arc when he tells Yona hey I told you I was your legs :) and she rejects him, because she can't risk it. Like, Yona wasn't in the wrong here, it's just that Yona in the castle arc was entering a battle that has no need for the dragons' powers. People in the castle arent chained literally, they're chained by their duties and the isolation that comes with having more power and information. That distance is not something that can be crossed literally by flying away. But anyway it was still painful for both of them, Jaeha quickly connects the dots and understands the reason behind that, but that only makes him more willing to find a way to help.
Then he is deployed in Kin Province, and as he realizes that Hak is fighting there he makes it his new goal to bring him to Suwon, only to fail to save him from the flooding, as he sees him be engulfed in that wave under his very eyes, and can't find any trace of him for days after it happens. Losing Hak is devastating enough given how much he cares for him, but it adds to the hypothetical feeling that he failed and his leg couldn't bring him to Hak in time.
But it's fine, his presence alone is enough, he is loved and he's like a big brother to Yona, if she needs comfort, because hell this is about hak obviously she will be devastated, he can comfort her...and then Yona hides her sorrow from him and confides to Suwon of all people instead. Sure breaking down in front of Suwon wasn't her intent at all, but she still did in the end. Yona used to cry and confides to Jaeha before (like in the Sei forts arc when she failed to protect Lili), so why? And how not to be jealous of Suwon that seems to have a bond with her that even death and betrayal will never completely break?
He plays an important role in the battle against Kai, so sure, at least his powers still have some use and raises the moral of the troops as well, but now these same powers causes terror instead.
And before that he got captured, again, and as much as Yona defied our expectations and showed her development with a cycle of similar events but a better outcome and way of dealing with it (ie: kidnapping scenario), that is not the case for the dragons. Yona had complete control over her capture, it was her plan, and she could free herself with her own power. Yona is moving ahead of them, never intending to leave them behind, but she doesn't depend on their powers at all anymore.
So really, what does Jaeha have left at this point? Now Yona is the one who has to save him from his own powers! Jaeha who refused to join Yona at first because he didn't want to be chained down by destiny and a prophecy is now the one chained her down oh the irony of it all...
It's no surprise that Jaeha would decide to leave the ddhhb for good, his legs literally can't bring him to them anymore and worse he risks to hurt them, no matter how much he wants to come home, to them, he just can't. He can't be what Garou was to him and selfishly weights them down.
Since the beginning of the castle arc he sees again and again that Yona and Hak are doing fine without him. If Yona is in a pitch or needs comfort there are other people she can seek out. Jaeha wanted to help Hak reach Suwon and in the end he did it all on his own (Just to be clear Hak could obviously not have emotionally done it without Jaeha's support). The encampment arc ended up being resolved by everyone but the dragons, the story in general is at a point where their utility reached their limit, so what now?
The crimson illness is very tied to the mental state of those who have it, worsening when they're under stress and emotional turmoil, so I don't think it's too farfetched to theorize it might be the same for the dragons now. Kija is able to resist it because he has always been the most strong willed and stable of them. So yeah tbh more than Jaeha dying to me I think it's more him isolating himself to protect yona&co and he's not done done for. for now. I don't think he's lying about reaching the end of his lifespan etc(it's the same word as the end of an object's useful life in japanese btw.) but anyway oh well. All that to say I don't think he's dead and this is very much the occasion to finally break the connection the dragons have with their tragic fate and their powers that bring far more bad than good. What Jaeha needs is the reassurance that he is needed and that this does not depend on his powers at all.

Goro Akechi Propaganda
He’s Not Very Happy About It
He dies in the bowels of ship that is the manifestation of his fathers distorted mind, killed by his father’s representation of himself, sacrificing himself for the protags right after boss battling them. And then he comes back to life in third semester when a perfect reality starts because as eventually revealed his being alive and being free is the One True Wish for a perfect reality by the protagonist.  And then he dies again because he doesn’t want to be a puppet under control of this false reality. And then he comes back to life again implied at the very end through the power of loving really hard
Imagine coming back for ur living bf in a perfect reality u dont want id go crazy. And the true end implies he comes back AGAIN
MASSIVE spoilers: He was revealed to be a serial killer with no friends and got so attached to the main character he sacrificed himself to save him. In the remastered version, Persona 5 Royal, he comes back a little while later. However, that’s because the party was locked in an alternate universe in which everyone’s deepest desires comes true, and the main character’s wish was to see Akechi again. Once they fix the timeline he dies again (maybe…?)
Ok so technically you gotta squint to say he came back in the real world, but a version of him came back and even after that, the devs say it’s up to interpretation if he came back or not, so I’m interpreting he did come back from the dead
Disclaimer out of the way, my god I love this fucked up little guy. Has an absolute sad life where his mom dies and he’s forced to become an assassin for his dad who doesn’t even know it’s him, and does so with the single minded goal of revenge. He has a tragic “totally platonic” (read “homosexual”) relationship with a guy in similar circumstances, but got to make the best of it instead of losing himself to revenge. In his final moments, he realizes that he had made friends who would’ve been there for him, and both he and the protag wish things could’ve been different. He dies leaving an unfulfilled promise with his rival, and a massive “what if?” had the two been able to have a relationship outside of all the bullshit life had thrown at both of them.
AND THEN
An egomaniac gains reality altering powers and tries to convince the good guys that he should be allowed to reshape the world by granting all of their deepest wishes. And Akechi is just sorta there. He doesn’t remember how he survived or how he got there, but he reconnects with his rival and the two immediately start working on fighting the egomaniac. It’s not clear what wish the egomaniac had granted the two of them, and it remains this mystery. The two continue to have a complicated relationship, but it’s revealed: Akechi was brought back by the egomaniac as his rivals greatest wish. He wanted Akechi back more than anything else in the world. And if they defeat the egomaniac, Akechi will leave as well, he’ll go back to being dead. But the two believe too strongly in free will and oppose the egomaniac anyways. There’s a heartbreaking scene where Akechi convinces the protag to let him die again, because he refuses to have his life controlled by people he hates any longer. And so, the egomaniac is defeated, and Akechi disappears. Leaving our protag to mourn and constantly wonder what if. And in the final cutscene of the game, we see a flash of akechis outfit in the reflection of a window. Was it a hallucination? Us Akechi truly back? It’s unclear, but the the protag has a lot of feelings about it anyways.
For the tragedy of both his death and his revival, Akechi truly deserves the win here. His life was a sad one, leading to a tragically preventable death that fits into the themes of cruel adults exploiting children and of free Will being above all. And his revival is more of the same, just under the guise of magnanimity. I love this character with all my heart, and both his two deaths and ambiguous revivals pull at my heartstrings constantly

This is probably controversial to even post but I’m curious to how this idea would be received in a Spider-Man adaption or even as a fan fic.
So say The Coffee Bean Gang was to be restored in film or comics, but the only issue with that is what to do with Gwen? We all wish TASM hadn’t wasted the opportunity to properly set up all the friendships and there have Gwen’s death have the same impact it once did in the comics, but instead all opportunities to faithfully adapt the ultimate character growth for Spider-Man were wasted. Now as a society we have grown past that “Fridged Girlfriend” trope (despite the validity of her death in comics causing multiple character growth) and most of us fans are tired of first love being pitted against the love Peter and MJ share. So instead I propose a different take that creates a different dynamic among the group without impeding on individual character growth but still has the same outcome. Spoiler alert: Gwen still dies! Although the tragedy goes beyond just serving the protagonist’s pain.
What if Gwen was Peter’s first love but Gwen broke his heart by breaking up with him and instead falling for Harry? What if Harry and Gwen completed each other and were the first in their friend group to get married? Peter feels understandably betrayed, which causes lots of friction and drama at first, but Peter comes to the realization that their only fault was falling in love and he can either be bitter and lose his friendship with Gwen and Harry or he can be the bigger man.
I know! I erased Liz Allen! But it’s not like the comics or films haven’t done anything with her. Even MCU didn’t do anything of significance with her except to say she is the daughter of the vulture and have her disappear, so bear with me
At the wedding reception Mary Jane and Peter share a dance and the sparks start between them, although nothing happens between them just yet. And as for Gwen and Harry, they live happily ever after…for a year or two.
Norman Osborn is terminally ill and his abusive ways in molding Harry as the perfect predecessor to Oscorp causes a personality change in Harry. The pressure to run the family business gets to Harry and he begins abusing drugs and womanizing.
Let me just state that while I will always prefer a narrative that has Norman as The Green Goblin, I thought it was an interesting appprach TASM took to having Harry as the first Goblin (as poorly executed as it of course was!) and for the sake of argument, let’s say that in this personal reboot Harry is the first to use the serum.
Trigger warning for mentions of domestic abuse!
The serum enhances Harry’s worse qualities and he becomes abusive. Gwen confides in MJ but refuses to leave Harry because she still loves him and truly believes he can be rehabilitated. Mary Jane is triggered by memories of her mother and sister’s abuse by the hands of her father.
Harry wrecks havoc on the city in a similar way Norman did in Sam Rami’s film, and oblivious to The Green Goblin’s identity, Spider-Man fights the Green Goblin for first time. Gwen is the one to eventually find out Harry’s secret identity, and the first person she calls in a panic is Mary Jane. Mary Jane, knowing Peter’s secret identity for years now, urges her to see Peter. Gwen is confused by Mary Jane’s insistance to see Peter but does so anyway, and of course Harry ends up seeing them together and the paranoia brought on by the serum makes him believe that they are having an affair.
Harry as The Goblin tries to kill Peter but Gwen distracts him by calling out his name, leaving Peter time to escape and come back as Spider-Man. Mary Jane shows up and nearly gets hurt trying to convince Harry to let Gwen go. Spider-Man swings into action but is unable to stop The Goblin from fleeing with Gwen.
Somewhere during that iconic battle, Peter tries to appeal to Harry’s humanity by showing him his identity and begging Harry to allow him to help him. While Harry seems to come back to his senses for a few minutes The Green Goblin eventually takes over and Gwen is killed among the chaos. Peter is able to subdue Harry and Harry is sent to a maximum security prison, where he stews and blames Peter causing his wife’s death.
Peter is still haunted by his inability to save Gwen and Mary Jane blames herself for putting Gwen in that position and also for getting Peter involved; she doesn’t tell Peter she knows his identity just yet.
I’m sorry if you all hate it but I still would like to explore it in an AU or something. I would of course write Gwen with her own agency, which is more than the films or comics gave her.

I got you... I got my friend... (( @th3inb3tw33n ))
Tumblr media
Anyways! I wanna do some more info dumping and now I have a reason, so buckle in everyone. I'm going to Autism Mode™
--------------------------------
Before Ender was "Born" :
Thinking this over Ender was born from an egg, which when Ender was given to their parent it was confusing of what animal they were just by looking at the egg (( spoiler alert... They weren't anything identified )) Ender was given to a single working father that was going through the grief of losing his own child from a kidnapping. Their father was a scientist, named Alec.
Within the days of taking care of the egg, the machine that it was displayed upon (( basically to make sure the creature inside the egg was alive and well )) Ender had some what of a conscious brain about things going around the egg and would purposefully make the machine start beeping frantically over a dramatic change in heart beat!
During Ender was "Born"
When Ender was hatching, it was a beautiful 4 in the morning (( around the time Alec woke up )) At first Alex didn't think it was anything, due to being panicky binged for no reason. Upon realizing that the egg was hatching Alex ran over and just hovered until he noticed Ender was having trouble breaking the shelling. After a bit of help, Ender finally got out of the egg and... Sneezed. My man just sneezed... but also claimed Alec as his father at first sight. (( Being that Ender as a baby was basically like a bird. The first person they saw as soon as their eyes opened was now their parent. Whether child, senior citizen, nurse, or some random roach. ))
Ender's Important Childhood:
= Age Two: Alec introduced Ender to science for the first time and that had influenced Ender ever since. Nothing else (( besides drawing )) swayed him.
= Age Three: Ender learned about his powers and was becoming a chaos demon for three months
= Age Four: Ender's little sister, Annabelle, was introduced to them. That interaction went... interesting.
= Age Eleven: Ender learned what he actually was! Which came to a surprise to Alec but not completely irrational.
= Age Twelve: The village got burned down from an attack from another city close to the village... after the village refused to partner with the city. Leaving Ender and two other survivors alive, which the city who attacked tried to kidnap but Ender escaped from
= Age Fourteen: Ender learned about the spirit realm and found another spirit like him, after Ender tried to rob their store for supplies. The other spirit was named Yuri and agreed to help Ender master his powers, give shelter, and more, on the grounds that Ender helps around the store and doesn't steal.
= Age Sixteen: Ender had to fight off a big villain (( as some sort of heroic responsibility task that a spirit is bound to do )) and of course won... and ended the battle by removing my dudes spirit to the underworld. Yeah...
= Age Nineteen: Ender actually met their real parent... And also Annabelle with Alec... That exchange went great... Ye.
Tumblr media
Anyways, that's it for now. Yeah.

No need to apologise for the derailing loved reading all of it (and as person who tends follow a stream of thoughts i relate)
When it comes to shipping in every fandom the characters / dynamics tend to be simplified for the convince (and bc id be hard to whip out a whole essay about in and out s of their relationship everytime you wanna make a silly joke, but it tends to be so widely and often used that it makes me sometimes think "wait you don t really think that they would act like that right?"But that s something that s just gonna happen ig and who am i to police ppl on jokes🤷
Loved the insignt about his military upbringing and automantically analysing ppl s strenght which i haven t though about but very much agree.
Althought i also think that beside willows powers she has proved to be quite fearless (let s overlook ladybugs / j) especially in front of Hunter where she stood up to Darius and was ready to protect EE with her body. She knew she was gonna lose and that she s weaker than the coven head but that didn t stop her. That s one of the reasons (i think) Hunter recognised fake willow so soon. Because real willow regardless if she s stronger or not overlooks the dangers and focuses on doing everything to save her friends.
And willow + gus being Hunters safe space is so dear to me it s honestly ridiculous
Hopefully after some time in nocedas household he ll have time to relax/heal and be a lil snarky maybe in a form of sibling like banter with luz?
//and back to willow and her strenght there s this hc i have about beta willow. That althought beta universe is way more dangerous/bloody i like to think willow wasn t that much violent there? But unhinged for sure, using plants attacks and refusing to "unspell" them after fight (they are her beloved plants and she s not heartless enough to make them disappear just after bringing them to life) leaving those dangerous creatures (but before the battle she always thinks what kind of flowers would grow the best in this climate/soil etc)
(was the last addition totally off the topic? ... perhaps Is this ask a mess? Very much yes. Sorry!)
I'm happy you liked it!! I appreciate when other people whose thoughts are similarly many but disorganised see my stuff and are like "yeah me too man."
And yeah whenever I make a silly little joke about Huntlow that's not entirely a reflection of how I really see them I always think about that one post that's like "oh no they're gonna think I don't understand themes and narratives!!" But like. I have several essays I can whip out if anyone questions me about it. I am very easily coaxed into writing huntlow essays. Practically dying to at all times. All somebody's gotta do is bring up a specific topic of discussion and their own opinion to get me started and I'll go off the rails.
Willow is SO brave man. And I like to believe that it's character development, going by season 1 where she went into denial over stepping on bones. I think the Eda petrification thing really changed her brain chemistry into understanding that the world they lived in was corrupt and you either gotta learn to protect or get protected.
She's still just a kid tho. You KNOW that deep down she was probably terrified during her confrontation with Darius, especially after it was demonstrated that she was way WAY outmatched in this fight and she hadnt a chance of winning. But she did it anyway because her friends' lives were at stake and somebody had to fight for them. Man Willow is SO cool.
(Something kinda tragic about her eventually giving up and throwing her arms out to shield them and shutting her eyes tight. She thinks she's gonna die protecting them. And it's noble. It really is. But we gotta remember that she blames herself for all of them being in this mess.)
I love this scene a lot because like both the "half-a witch" admissions from earlier, it's a moment between Willow and Hunter where they realize "Oh. You're like me."
They're both brave to a recklessly suicidal extent. They're protectors. They're self sacrificial.
Hunter sees her bravery in this scene and he understands it completely. She was prepared to handle this herself and lose in the process and he begs her to please just let him do it for her. His tone of his voice, the intense eye contact, his use of "Captain" and his plea? He knew she wasn't going to run away unless he begged. It wasn't the kind of person she was.
Hes known her for a DAY!!! But he gets it!!! He fucking gets her!!!!
Of COURSE this was one of the many reasons he realized LR Willow was a fake. After this girl pulled some shit like THAT there is no way she's getting spooked by illusions.
I know Hunter's gonna have some rough times in season 3 but I also know he's not just gonna be angsting the whole time. He's too funny. As much as the crew loves putting him through shit, they also clearly love him in comedic situations. They love Hunter man. You can clearly tell. He's gonna be so snarky he's gonna be so annoying. Hes gonna argue with Luz and probably Gus and maybe even Amity. It's gonna be great.
I'm so excited for s3 Luz and Hunter dynamic. It's coming I know it is. Its gonna be big and everything I ever wanted. Its so interesting to me how, besides Flapjack, Luz is the character Hunter has been the most comfortable around. They just have something special man. They're gonna have their snarky snippy little bickering, I know they will.
Beta stuff isn't really a thing I'm all that interested in. I'm happy people have their fun with the designs and coming up with lore and headcanons for those versions of the characters and the lore but I'm so attached to the canon interpretations that I can't really get invested. But I do love this!! Even in canon itself, I'd love to see Willow be the kind of person who dotes and fawns over her horrifying poison mucus spraying briars or whatever other plants her creatively unhinged little brain conjures up. Like they're her BABIES!!! It makes people uncomfortable but Willow is just so sweet that they don't have the heart to tell her to get rid of them.

Month of Nagisa - Searching Heroes
"I'm the hero! And heroes never lose!"
Oh, how he wished such a statement could be true. In real life, heroes don't always come out on top. The genre's called fantasy after all; the good guys are always destined to win in the fairytale worlds that they based their roles on.
What even is a hero anyways? What defines a hero? Someone that defends people from the villains that spread evil? Sure, that'd be the textbook definition for it. But what's really important here is the separation that divided the heroes and the villains.
The moral question that was 'what was justice', and 'what was evil'. The redhead had a childish black and white idea of heroes and villains, but for the bookworm? He knew the world wasn't that simple.
A day had passed since the funeral after the death of Masaru Daimon, proclaimed leader of the Warriors of Hope.
Nagisa would always get on Masaru's case and complain about how much of a loud, rude, and childish person he was, and to be fair on himself; he kind of was. He wasn't the biggest fan of the nicknames that he'd come up with, nor did he like being made fun of for reading.
He also didn't like... having to pine for the mage's attention with him getting in the way too, but... that was something that even Nagisa himself recognized as something silly.
Not to mention that said mage was the one that declared Masaru as dead after her encounter with the recent adults that were put into the Demon Hunting Game. He'd lost the battle against them, and he's been missing ever since.
He already tried to bring up the idea that Masaru could still be alive because of the fact that the report from the Monokuma Kids said he'd been captured by adults, and his actual body hadn't been found yet. But all of that was pushed away for an emotional argument that told him off as someone that was thinking too much like an adult and the refusal to just accept that things were how they were.
Masaru Daimon was dead. He had to realize that. He had to stop going against Monaca's word and just plan for the next step of paradise without him, tragic as it was.
But his morals weren't far gone enough that he'd throw away what he'd call an ally away to rot and be left to fend for himself.
"To think they really assumed he was just dead... what's up with them? Do they not care about him? Or do I just care about this group too much? I can't really understand it, but... there's been a small ache in my chest ever since those two adults started wrecking havoc around the city. I can only hope I don't run into them."
The bluehead talked to himself in a mumbled voice. He had put on a cloaked robe on himself to not alert or trigger any wandering adults or Monokumas that were lurking around the city. The adults knew that he was one of the members that were part of the group of kids that ruined their lives. He might not have been directly killing them, sure, but the fact of the matter is; he didn't stop his team from completely taking the city over with their murderous robots that dominated any man.
As for the robots themselves? Well, they were an incredible resource and piece of weaponry. Anybody that was unarmed would be downed near instantly, and there was such a massive supply of them that worrying about running out was never going to be a problem.
The factory belonged to her, after all. And with the state her brother was in, there shouldn't be a chance in hell that they break through their robots.
Honestly, all of this talk about robots only made him remember the sports freak he was looking for even more. A small smile appeared on his face. He was always the most eager one to test and fight whatever stood in his way with the massive robot each of them controlled. He took one look at the one with the massive drills and decided "Yeah, that's the one for me!" with childish glee and ease.
It was like picking a favorite character or toy from a show that you watched and making arguments about why yours was the coolest and could beat everyone else's. He took those simple times for granted. The amount of time in his life that he spent being a child and enjoying pleasures like those was little to none. He should've cherished it more while he was still in the moment.
Well, there was no point in dwelling on it now. The important part now was the present and searching for where Masaru had gone.
Nagisa found himself going down an alleyway nearby an abandoned subway in the city. There was a door on one side of the building that was originally made for authorized members only, but with the state Towa was in nowadays, just about anyone could get inside any building.
Closing the door behind him, there were stairs that led downwards to the underground where the subway actually was. Nagisa could hear the distant noises of gleeful laughter from below, so he went down as cautiously as he could.
The sound of metal clanging against each other rang as he took step by step downwards. What was going on over there...?
A scream of determination echoed through the building from under him. The voice sounded familiar, but it wasn't until the person spoke again that he immediately understood what was happening now.
"Get off of me, you smelly...! Gah, hgh...!"
A blow to the chest pushed the former Li'l Ultimate PE backwards near a wall, as two Monokuma Kids had cornered him in a tough spot. He'd been running from them for a while now, but even for all his athletic capabilities, he was only still a child, and had his own limits.
Just as the brainwashed children were about to strike the boy again though, a hard impact crashed on one of them from behind, knocking them out cold.
The redhead could see in front of him in a blurry vision a blue-haired figure with a metal pipe that looked as if it came from a broken part of the staircase railing, clobbering the second caught off-guard Monokuma Kid with another strike, putting them down for the count.
"Hh... Ghh. Two swings with a pipe with all the strength I've got, and I'm already worn out... ugh."
The blue boy took a moment to catch his breath, before walking over to his similarly disheveled ally.
"Masaru? Masaru, it's me! Are you feeling okay? Look at the state you're in..."
It was only now that Nagisa realized the condition Masaru was in right now. Cut up with small wounds and bruises over his body, clothes torn bit by bit, and yet, that same unfazed and determined look he had in his eyes stayed. The redhead finally came to his senses properly, rubbing his eyes as he spoke with a confused and surprised voice.
"N-Nagisa? What the heck are you... why are you here? Of all the people..."
"What sort of perception of me do y- no, forget it. How'd you get here? I knew she was wrong, you're still alive...!"
"Wait, she? Who's she?"
"Monaca. She set up an entire funeral and everything after you apparently 'died'. You're living proof that it's not the case though... I'll treat your wounds real quick, we should get you back to our headquarters as soon as possible!"
"Huh? Wait, no! Don't do that...!"
"Eh? But why...? You're here now, and you of all people would say that the Warriors of Hope 'needs a leader to take control!', or something along those lines."
"W-Well, yeah. Of course you do, I'm the best leader in the world! But uh... ah. Hmm... er."
Masaru was practically buying himself time now with all of the idle mumblings he was putting out. He'd realized something. He was childish and naive sure, but he wasn't a moron! At least, he liked to think he wasn't.
"But hang on, if Monaca's the one that tried to make me out to be dead... and she's the one in control of all the Monokuma Kids that's been trying to get me ever since I lost... did she seriously...?''
"Masaru? Masaru, you're blanking out! Hey!"
Nagisa started waving a hand in front of the redhead to get his attention, proving effective as he snapped back to reality, nodding his head as he forced himself to stand up, groaning in irritated pain.
"It's nothing, alright...? I'm fine... but don't bring me to the headquarters for now!"
Masaru really didn't have the heart to tell Nagisa that Monaca might've been the one to orchestrate his supposed death. For one, he knew just how much the mage meant to him. And besides, it was pretty obvious just how head over heels Nagisa was for him. He turns from a serious, no messing around brainiac into a completely shy mess when she gets too close or compliments him!
And for two, he really didn't want to risk the chance of offending Nagisa so hard to the point that he'd just leave him here. Not after they already found their way to each other again. And especially not in the injured state he was in...
He'll have to talk to Nagisa about it another day.
"I-I mean, you shouldn't bring me to headquarters, cause... I'm embarrassed I'll look weak and un-leadery if you bring me to them like this! Yeah, that's it!"
"... Seriously? Is your pride that high? Everyone's worried about you, you know."
"... They clearly weren't that worried if it's only you that came here."
That quieted Nagisa. Masaru said that in such a somber and downed tone that Nagisa saw how hurt he must've been by everything.
It'll be fine though. He can still fix everything... he can work the Warriors of Hope up together again, and they can clean up the rest of the town with the remaining demons.
It'll all be okay... right?
A rare sight came out of Nagisa. A small, encouraging smile as he let Masaru hang on his shoulder for support, no matter how uncomfortable it made the former Li'l Ultimate Social Studies.
"Don't think like that. Come on, let's get you out of here first and foremost. I know this town like the back of my head at this rate; let's get you to the nearest medical center."
And with that, they were off. A talk between the two of them would have to occur again sooner or later, but for now, they just needed each other's support more than anything.

JJK Men Seeing Presumed Dead S/O HCs
Consists of : Gojo Satoru, Fushiguro Megumi
Warnings : mentions of death, bloody Megumi GIF, that's it?
Summary : You were gone. And they mourned for you -they still are-, but then you show up, alive and well.
//Okay I don't usually write HCs but I thought I'd give it a shot. Also, I have like... 8 stories in my drafts that I haven't posted, either because I think they're bad or I haven't finished them "^_^ gomen! I've been super busy lately. Anyways, hope you enjoy this one! Also, I made this as gender-neutral as possible, pls do comment if you find a pronoun I slipped in by accident!
1. Satoru Gojo
Tumblr media
Stops for a second. Like literally STOPS.
This man never shuts up, let alone freezing in the middle of a fight.
Doesn't believe it at first, but his six eyes told him nothing but the truth.
It was you. You were alive.
Honestly, he was pleasantly surprised. Usually, he was the one bringing people "back from the dead".
Would finish up the fight ASAP so he could check up on you.
You've quite a bit to explain.
Gojo was used to it. Losing people, that is. The worst anyone's ever seen him was after his best friend left him and became a curse user.
Or that's what they thought was the worst.
When you were declared dead, he refused to believe it. He started going on more missions to fill in his time as if he wasn't busy enough. But, the worst part of it all, is that he has no one to blame but himself. He can't avenge you either because the cursed spirit is dead.
You were a strong sorcerer, so he didn't really worry too much when he asked you to accompany his students on a mission. In fact, he thought his students were safe under your care.
He wasn't wrong about the latter.
When the cursed spirit showed itself, the students practically froze in fear. You were the only one who managed to move and land a quick attack before pushing Yuuji and Megumi back. You wouldn't let the damn cursed spirit hurt your boyfriend's precious students.
So you told them to run. To go find Kugisaki and run. Of course, Yuuji refused to, but Megumi dragged him. You fought the cursed spirit the best you could, maneuvering to avoid his attacks and landing your own blows. But, you could only do so much damage. It was more like a battle of endurance. And with every second, you were getting slower, your attacks became less violent, and the injuries you sustained were getting worse every second.
At last, your body gave up.
They never found your body and assumed you were destroyed in the fight between Sukuna and the cursed spirit. Or that you were probably consumed by one of the cursed spirits.
So when he tore down the curtain and he felt your cursed energy, he looked your way and froze. He didn't believe it at first, but when he noticed the way you look up at him and grinned, he returned the grin with his own.
He's definitely finishing this butcher and tree as fast as he can.
"Care to explain where you've been, Y/n-chan?"
"Well a certain someone taught me a thing or two about defying death." You smirked.
The tall male smiled widely as he scanned your figure. You were about to explain that you were alright -and that you awoke your ability to use reversed cursed technique- but before you could, he pulled you into his arms.
"Guess I don't have to worry about you getting injured or dying so easily anymore."
2. Megumi Fushiguro
Tumblr media
Would definitely think you were a cursed spirit or a curse user with a technique that allows you to transform.
Is probably stunned for a second before his emotions get the better of him.
Will not hesitate to attack after you say something.
How dare you impersonate the love of his life?
Looking exactly like them was offensive enough, but to act and sound like them too? Now that's just unacceptable.
But when he realizes you weren't a fake, he would stop to look at you, not believing his eyes and his heart.
Then proceeds to pull you by the wrist, forcing you into his arms and completely breaking out of his usually cool, calm, and collected self.
He would hug you so tight as if you were going to disappear if he lets go.
That damned curse user. He's been at it for a while now, no matter how much Megumi attacked, none of his offenses seemed to bother his opponent too much. He was getting frustrated. Every single nick and cut on his skin made him even more pissed.
He had to win this. Even if he had to die in the process, it's fine. As long as he manages to avenge you. As a matter of fact, he wouldn't mind dying after he killed the curse user. Because he'd be able to join you. He grinned slightly as he slumped onto the floor, blood dripping onto his palm.
Hope you're waiting for me up there
He stood up, each foot planting one by one. His hands clasped as he readied himself to summon his shikigamis, but then he stopped dead in his tracks. He couldn't even move. He blinked once, twice, thrice. The figure was still there, looking away from him and blocking his view of the curse user he was facing. That's when it hit him.
It wasn't you. It must be the curse user's technique. Otherwise, how could you be there? You died just over a month ago, he'd used the past month to train, go on missions, and track the curse user down. And now he's pulling this stunt? He's going to kill this wretched being.
You turned around, facing him. You let out a sigh of relief before pulling the edges of your lips into a content smile as you saw the lover you'd left behind for the past month. It's not like you chose to, to be honest. It was because of your darn sensei. He forced asked you to stay 'dead' and help Nanami train Yuuji for a couple months. You were about to tell him when you heard pads behind you, along with a soft and unsure growl.
"Megumi, it's me." you said hesitantly, eyes going back and forth between him and the divine dog behind you.
"Shut up! Don't say another word. Stop it."
You parted your lips to say something, but pressed them into a thin line before lifting your right arm, you open your palm and sparks appeared. The same little sparks you made to calm him down when you were kids.
His expression fell, and he stood up straight, making his way with unsure steps. His eyebrows furrowed slightly and his eyes were filled with silent pleads, almost as if he's begging the universe to tell him this really is real.
"It's you." He let out. And you nodded in response.
He reached for your wrist and pulled you into his arms, head buried in the crook of your neck. His arms were around you, and he squeezed you ever so slightly.
You couldn't see it, but he was absolutely breaking. His eyes leaking tears, lips quivering, and jaw tense as he tried to convince himself this is real.
You pat his back with, returning the hug. Humming a tune as your other hand ran through his hair.
"Don't ever leave me again."

Info dump!!!
Sorry for the late reply. I had a very busy day!
You gotta tell me what you want me to info dump about or else I panic and have no idea what to talk about. I don't know what the people want to hear!
Anyway, here's the Everything In the Past Was Happy AU:
Remember how I said that there's a story out there where Warriors, Spirit, and Mask being good friends was possible? This is that story
The trick is that for this AU to really tickle that itch, no one can be OOC. so Warriors still has to he awful, but just not to those two
The set-up is exactly the same as CTB, but the big difference is that when Spirit freaks out after his first battle, Warriors doesn't lie
You can take you pick as to how this happened, but I like to think that when he goes to Lana for help, he brings her back with him so that she can see with her own eyes what was going on, and she tells him in front of Spirit the whole deal about the Light and Dark spirits; ergo, Warriors can't set-up the initial lie that started this all
And maybe with Lana there, Warriors feels a little moved by Spirit's distress and realizes that he can't make him go onto the battlefield again
So obviously, Warriors needs a new plan
He remembers what Lincoln said about Spirit's intelligence being put to good use, and well. Warriors hates Lincoln, but the guy can have some good ideas every now and then
So Warriors assigns Spirit to make weaponry
Spirit: "I'm not making weapons."
Warriors: "What."
Spirit: "I refuse to make weapons. I will make anything else, just not something that can be used to kill another person."
And Warriors almost loses it here and says something he would regret, but he restrains himself
Important note: Spirit is still under constant duress due to feeling sick from the nearby battles, but knowing that it's not his fault does a lot to keep him afloat. So while he gains a reputation for being pretty sickly, he's doesn't defer to Warriors or sink into insecurity the way he does in CTB. Generally, he's more confident and assured of himself. And he's stubborn like a mule.
Anyway, Warriors eventually goes back to Spirit to demand he make weapons again when Spirit hits him with a new idea
Spirit: "If this Hyrule is after New Hyrule, then there might be a way to bring back the Spirit Tracks. And I can make you trains. Use them to transport supplies or whatever. I can do it."
And Warriors LOVES this idea
But to let Spirit figure out how to bring back the Spirit Tracks, he has to let Spirit leave the camp
And Warriors is still a really possessive guy
(but the fun thing about his possessiveness is that it never rings any warning bells since it just came off as being over protective)
(Kinda like how present day Warriors in CTB is over protective of his friends, which is a re-framing of his possessiveness)
(shhhh)
They end up fighting about whether Spirit should be allow to go or not
The fight gets ugly, but Spirit holds his ground
Inevitably, Warriors ends up letting Spirit go, but not because he has faith in Spirit
See here, when Warriors pulled Spirit from soldier duty, he had to answer to Zelda's generals about it. He ended up claiming that they were mistaken about Spirit being a holder of the Hero's Spirit (hence, no Triforce Mark)
Some of the generals don’t believe Warriors and are openly making moves to transfer Spirit from Warriors's care
So Warriors decides it would be best if Spirit got out of there stat
So Spirit leaves for a bit, but promises he will return
And Warriors puts worrying about Spirit on the back burner as he deals with the war
A couple of months later, Spirit Tracks appeared all over Hyrule, and Spirit returns like he said he would
The relief that floods Warriors is immeasurable
New problem: now that the idea of trains was proven, all of the nobility want control over the train lines, and unless Warriors can find funding for Spirit's project, there was the potential for Spirit having to leave to some strange noble's estate in order to make use of the funds
So Warriors needs to get funding from if not an impartial source, then one that wouldn't interfere
Warriors: "Hey so you know how you fund Faiza's research? Well boy do I have a proposition for you!"
Lincoln: "...since when do you ask me for favors?"
Lincoln 100% still does not trust Warriors, but he can see that Warriors hasn’t been 't treating Spirit wrongly like he feared, and the train system would be helpful....
So maybe Lincoln's instincts were wrong and Warriors isn't going to be horrible to Spirit
Lincoln: "I don't have all the fund myself, but I.... uh, know someone in Gerudo Town who does."
They strike a deal where Lincoln would get them the money on the condition that he could provide minimal supervision
And that is how Warriors and Lincoln reach a bizarre truce
All of that is to say that this is how the status quo for the AU is established: Spirit working on trains while Warriors copes with the war and tries not be terrible. Together with Mask, who is always trying to cause problems, they have a bunch of misadventures together
More stuff:
Mask still wants nothing more than to be allowed to fight, but now whenever he gets too pushy, Warriors sends him off to Spirit, who puts him to work helping him build things
(Mask takes to building surprisingly well, and he appreciates being treated like he's smart)
Warriors's abusive tendencies end up being inflicted more on random soldiers under his tutelage. When it gets too much, someone fetches Spirit, who then wrangles him back in order
Warriors also still cheats on Lana. This is a universal constant, though this time he actively sought to hide this fact from Spirit, who eventually found out and kicked his ass over it
Spirit and Warriors's relationship is interesting as Spirit figures out early on that Warriors has the potential to be terrible, but he also realizes that Warriors is intent on being over protective of him and Mask instead. So he becomes Warriors's voice of reason/compassion, who tells him bluntly to knock it off when he becomes too much
He has a hard time dealing with his emotions towards Warriors since he know he should hate him. He knows how terrible Warriors can be to others. But he can't bring himself to hate him. He kinda adores the guy, warts and all
This can manifest as resentment towards Warriors, and sometimes Warriors finds himself getting the cold shoulder or snapped at for no real reason
Weirdly enough, there is a prime rumor around the camp that Spirit and Warriors actually do hate each other, and that is because anytime they are in public, they're arguing about Warriors's conduct
And as we all know, when Spirit gets mad, he gets mad
In private, they're best friends. They joke that they're both single parents having to raise their kid (Mask)
(Mask hates this joke and throws a fit whenever he hears it, which only encourages them to do it more)
Mask doesn’t take care of either of them in this AU like he does in CTB, which means that he’s a trouble maker the entire time he’s there, but he now openly relies on Warriors and Spirit
Warriors is actually who he goes to for emotional support while Spirit is the person he hangs out with more on a day to day basis
Also because Warriors has an ok relationship with Lincoln, Mask actually connects with him a bit
And by that, I mean they sit next to each other and say nothing for hours
Mask also manages to befriend Linkle, as they’re about the same age here. And by befriend, I mean that she becomes the victim of his compulsive need to take care of others
But things get rough at the turncoat revolt
Instead of trying to take Warriors, Mask, and Spirit out all at once, the turncoats try to kill Spirit when he is alone in his workshop
Spirit kills the assailant in self defense
So Spirit becomes overwhelmed with having killed someone. Meanwhile, Warriors's over-protectiveness intensifies
After all, what kind of her was he if he couldn't protect his friends?
Warriors also starts to fall into a dark place where he begins to push Spirit and Mask out of his life. He becomes even more known for being cold hearted and cruel
And there's this whole thing where Spirit tries and tries again to pull him back into the light when he himself is not in a good place. And there's a building resentment towards Warriors for being too wrapped up in himself to realize how much Spirit is hurting
And Mask is stuck in the middle once more
(They eventually work it out. This is the happy version of the story after all)
Eventually the war ends, and everyone goes home
Then many years later, Linked Universe happens
Time, unafraid to reveal himself the moment he reunites with Warriors since his memories of the war were positive: "We've met before."
Warriors, flirting to avoid awkwardly admitting that he didn't know what Time was talking about: "I think I would remember a face like yours."
Time:
Time:
Time: "I WAS TEN???"
Warriors, realizing: "THE CHILD??? IS THAT YOU???"
So Time and Warriors openly admit they had met before, and they start off on a great note
And sure. Spirit isn't here right now, but he will be. He has to join them, so that their little family can truly be reunited
But Spirit never shows
And...well, it's sad
Time and Warriors also have a bit of an off relationship with Wind, as they over correct to not treat Wind like Spirit to the point where they treat him with indifference
And Wind in turn kind of resents this other guy he keeps hearing about for making it hard for him to get the two oldest heroes to respect or like him
And you know what? I am making an executive decision to declare that they eventually get to reunite with Spirit in this AU
Their reunion is of course filled with hugs and tears, but once that is over with, Spirit and Warriors immediately launch into the pettiest argument possible
And the rest of the Chain is so confused. They thought Warriors loved this guy! Weren't they brothers???
And Time is just looking on fondly, because this is how they show they care

Until The Battle Is Won
BOTW Link x GN!Sheikah!Reader
Final part of Memories of You!
Previous
AN: Hey everyone!! This is the final chapter of this story. I wanna thank everyone for sticking around with my lousy update schedule ':). Anyways, I've loved writing this story and I'm kind of sad to see it end but also I love this ending so much- even though it hurts. So grab some water, maybe a snack, some tissues, and strap in. This is long and pretty sad.
TW: gore, reader death, descriptive injuries
Summary:  The final battle is here. Hyrule is in ruins as Ganon tears through every defense they had and now, the final champions must protect their Princess in the race to deliver them to their destinies.
It was dark.
Link was running through the forest, another hand in his as Y/n led the way. Their white hair was a beacon amongst the trees as he surged to keep up with their gazelle-like pace. He was focused on keeping up with the Sheikah warrior when he felt the hand slip from his. Link skidded to a stop, shouting for Y/n over the pouring rain. He knelt in front of Zelda, watching as she dug her fists into the mud beneath her. “How did it come to this? The Divine Beasts. The Guardians. They’ve all turned against us. It was... Calamity Ganon.”
Y/n had made their way back to the pair, carefully falling to their knees beside Link. He felt their hand curl around his, sensing the turmoil in him. It was all falling apart around them. They had worked so hard, faced so many trials, and made so many friends. And it was all for nothing. The fight was stacked against them, so much so that even Link was feeling the knot in his chest. They all felt helpless.
“Mipha, Urbosa, Revali, and Daruk…trapped inside those things...” the princess let out a heart-wrenching sob. “It’s all my fault!”
As Zelda cried into her hands, Y/n reached out to pull them back down, carefully pulling away the strands curled into her fists. When watery green eyes met red, the young Sheikah gave a pained smile. They linked hands with the princess and the knight, giving them both a firm squeeze. “I know it feels like we’ve already lost, like everything we’ve done has been for nothing. But we can’t think like that. We have the power of the master sword and the sealing light of the Goddess. As long as we hold our heads high and give this fight everything we have, Hyrule will survive this.”
“But I can’t use the sealing power!” Zelda pulled her hands away, fisting them in her dress to stop the shaking. Maybe if she weren’t such a failure, Hyrule wouldn’t be in danger. Her friends wouldn’t have to give their lives to face that monster. Why couldn't she do this one thing right! “I’ve tried everything and still I keep failing. Because of me they’ll die fighting the very beasts they were meant to pilot!”
“None of us can save them!” Y/n was looking down at the ground and, even through the rain, they could feel the tears sliding down their cheeks. “We can’t go back from where we are. We don’t have the time or the ability to save them from those beasts. So we must move forward. If we give up now… everything we went through…everything they are going through... it will be for nothing. And Hyrule will fall.”
Zelda surged forward, collapsing in her friend's arms. She clung to both as a sob tore from her throat. None of them could be strong. Not strong enough. Pressing his hand against Zelda’s back, Link reached out and placed a hand on Y/n’s arm. His voice was gruff, the stress and pain of what they were about to do- what they had already done, was too much for any person to bear. “All that we can do is keep fighting for their sake. We have to keep moving or we lose. We can win. We have to.”
He met Y/n’s eyes and they gave him a soft smile. They pressed their hand against his back and the princesses shoulder drawing both pairs of eyes to them. “No matter what happens, our friends will be by our side. Their wills become ours. And when you face down Ganon, you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll have the love and support of all your friends. All of Hyrule. So save your tears until the battle is won.”
Zelda sniffled, bringing a hand up to wipe at her cheek- not that it did much help with how muddy they had gotten from being on the ground. She wanted so badly to give into the crushing weight of everything that had happened. Just this morning she had held hope within her as she climbed mount Lanayru and now… she had lost everyone she loved. Her kingdom had fallen along with her father. All she had left sat here before her. Gazing at her with matching weight on their shoulders. They too felt the chains of destiny closing in around them. But they stood tall. These two bore the weight of the world without complaint and now, they placed their belief in her. The failure of a princess would not fail again. She refused to fail her friends. “Then we have no choice. We have to fight for them… and for each other.”
Y/n smiled at the princess, carefully pulling the trio together so their heads touched. “When this is over we can do as many crazy experiments as you want.”
Laughter bubbled up amongst the trio, smiles breaking through the tough exteriors they had adopted the closer Calamity had gotten. Each of them had suffered at the hands of destiny, and now they would face what could be their final battle.
Y/n choked back a sob as they thought of the sacrifices that had brought them to this point. The sacrifices they would need to make to save Hyrule. All they wanted was for their friends to be able to look over their homes with smiles. For the weights to finally be lifted from their shoulders and allow them to live their lives without the looming threats of their destinies. They knew the knight and the princess could never go forward after all that had happened since Calamity broke through but, if there was something they could do to protect those they had left, Y/n would do whatever it took.
Link watched his friends with a tightness in his chest. They were ready to face Calamity Ganon. He would protect them in the final battle and, when the time came, they would finally be free of the weight of Hyrule. He stood up, reaching a hand to the princess to pull her to her feet. Y/n placed their hand on his cheek, wiping with their thumb as he watched them. They gave a smile and he knew. They had confidence in him. He never viewed himself as a hero, no matter how many times his partner had called him one. But when Y/n looked at him it was like that pressure lifted. Like he really could defeat Ganon. And he would. No matter how long the fight lasted. To finally be able to spend his days doing what he wanted with the person he loved. To be free.
The trio took off again, heading towards the castle. Y/n stuck close this time so they could discuss battle plans with Link. They knew the most Guardians were in the fields near the castle so they would need to find a way past them. They couldn’t release the Guardians from the corruption so they would have to destroy them if they were spotted. The question was if they could destroy that many.
Y/n was starting to wish they had Robbie's anti-Guardian weaponry, even if they weren’t perfected.
------
The answer was no. They could not defeat the Guardians.
They had barely made it halfway through the fields before they were spotted. Once one Guardian had seen them, the rest followed. They were surrounded in seconds and, no matter how many Link and Y/n took down, it seemed like 5 more took their places. They were more than outnumbered. They were losing hope fast.
Y/n shot three bomb arrows into Guardians eyes, barely dodging blasts from two others. As the Guardians collapsed to the ground more followed. Mechanical limbs crushing their brethren to the ground with a deadly screech. They only cared to destroy the champions that stood below them. And it was starting to feel like they would.
Another blast echoed in Y/n’s ears and they felt the burn of the laser against their cheek. Too close! They knocked an arrow when the screech of metal sounded behind them. They barely managed to roll out of the way of a destroyed Guardian collapsing to the ground where they stood. They barely came up from the ground when they were knocked back down again.
“AHHH!”
Y/n could barely hear their scream over the shrieks of metal and the ringing in their ears. Flames crackled around them but the heat was nothing compared to the agony in their shoulder. They had been hit. Their skin still burned like thousands of needles pricking their way across their chest. They could feel nothing and everything at once. Like every nerve in their body was exposed and on fire. They couldn't focus, flames and metal blurring into one. It was over, wasn't it?
“-n… Y/n… Y/N!” Y/n felt the arms around them, a sob tearing through their throat as a hand brushed against the wound. Red eyes finally focused in on teary green orbs. It was only when their vision blurred did they realize tears were falling. The princess was crying too, shouting over the noise as the young Sheikah lay limp in her arms. Her hands slipped on the blood surrounding their shoulder and Y/n shot up with a silent gasp of agony.
“Y/N! You’re okay!”
Y/n stared at the princess in front of them. “Where’s Link?”
Zelda pointed to the center of the battle where the champion fought. Y/n shot to their feet, ignoring the pain that tore through them. They drew back their bowstring. “Whistle so he comes this way princess.”
She whistled as loud as she could and Link spun to the duo. His eyes widened as an arrow streaked past him and he took off. The champion slid behind the pile of fallen Guardians as the bomb arrow exploded. Dust and flames shot into the air creating a cloud over the battlefield.
Y/n ducked under the fallen Guardian with the others, heavy breaths escaping them all. It was only a moment. A single breath of time to plan their next move.
Link was the first to move, lunging forward to inspect his partner. He had seen them fall. Seen the princess holding them in her arms. And he had thought that was it. But here Y/n sat. Injured, but alive. And that was what mattered. That they were alive. He brushed hair away from their face with a shaky smile- honestly more of a grimace. He couldn’t find the words to explain his relief. How much he needed them and that he was happy they were okay, so he stuck with simple. “I love you.”
Y/n smiled back. They always knew what he meant, like they could read every thought in his head. They had felt it too. That moment of fear that they would never see each other again. But they were still here, giving him that goofy grin he loved so much. Despite their pain, Y/n was a rock- solid and unmovable. And they gave him hope. Y/n could smile at him and he could fight until his last breath. “I love you too.”
They sat in each other's arms, taking in the moment they had together. What could be their last moment with each other. Because Y/n had a plan.
“You have to go ahead without me.”
Y/n watched their friend’s faces morph to shock, then anger. Y/n knew they would fight the idea, but they had no choice. Even as their friends protested the idea, the Sheikah held up a hand. “If you and Zelda are to make it to the castle you need a clear path.”
“You can’t take on the Guardians alone!”
“It’s the only choice.”
“You said we fight together.” Y/n met Link’s eyes and they almost broke at the agony in them. They had never seen so much painted across his visage, the boy keeping a stoic face for the sake of his role. But here they were. There weren't enough words to describe the pain they both felt, physically and mentally. They were fighting on the losing side, and now they could lose each other? It was hard to see a point in the fight with so little left.
“Leaving you is my last choice… but I need you- both of you- to survive.”
“And what about you!?”
“I’M NOT THE CHOSEN ONE!” Y/n finally allowed the tears to fall. They didn’t matter. What mattered was guiding the chosen pair to Ganon. As long as Link and Zelda survived, they had completed their duty. Their life never mattered. It didn’t hold the same weight. Choking back their sobbing, Y/n tried to smile. They had their happy moments. Made friends. Fell in love. And now they had to fulfill their destiny. No matter how much it hurt. “Right now our destinies have to part ways… and I don’t know how long we’ll be apart. So I need you to keep fighting, even when I’m not beside you. Because together I know you can beat Ganon.”
“We shouldn’t have to leave you.” Tears were swimming in his cerulean eyes. The only thing that kept Link from crying was the promise he made. He wouldn’t cry until the battle was over. “I can’t lose you. You are my life… and I can’t live without you.”
“You can.” Y/n reached out, caressing his face in their hands. “You will… because I love you. I love you in this life, and the next, and every one that follows. I will stand by you until there isn’t a reason to fight and even then, I’ll stay with you. I. Love. You.”
Link surged forwards, pressing his lips against theirs. It was desperate. He needed to convey everything he felt in the few moments left. That they would stand together no matter what time they were in. They could be ripped apart or thrown through time, or even lose all their memories and they would still share this bond. As long as destiny brought them together, they would connect like perfect halves. They completed each other.
Link was the first to pull away, hands running through Y/n’s hair and over their face. It was like he was trying to memorize every detail about them. Like if he focused he could commit Y/n to memory. He needed to be able to find them again, even if it was only within his own thoughts.
“You need to go.” Y/n broke the trance, whispering the words neither of them wanted to hear.
They had to part ways.
Link pressed a final kiss to Y/n’s forehead before he stood up. Zelda lunged forward to hug the Sheikah, sobs escaping her. She squeezed so tightly Y/n had to bite their tongue to keep the whimper at bay as pain shot through their injuries. They would bare the pain for this moment with their friend. Pulling Zelda close to their form, Y/n whispered encouragement and thanks for their time together.
When Zelda pulled away, she wiped her tears before giving a grin. She may not hold the same belief in herself that the others did, but she would do what she could. She would hold onto the strength of her friends and use it as her weapon. Everyone had protected her for a reason. She would show them it was not in vain.
With their final goodbyes Link and Zelda took off, weaving through the corpses of Guardians. Y/n waited until they had reached the open fields before stepping out from their hiding spot and whistling. Mechanics whirred to life around them as Guardians rose to defense. Y/n drew back their arrows, white hot pain flaring as their shoulder stretched. This would be their final stand. They would give it their all, here and now, so their friends could go on.
The next few moments were a blur of exploding arrows, machines being crushed, and the blasts of lasers. Y/n couldn't keep track of how many times they had pulled back the string of their bow, loosing arrow after arrow in order to keep the masses of mechanical beasts focused on their being. They reached for their quiver once more, red eyes focused on the glowing eyes of the Guardians targeting them, only to come up empty. There were no arrows left.
There was no more hiding. All the Sheikah had left were the dual blades strapped to their side and the hope their speed would be fast enough to survive.
Y/n pulled out their blades, taking off towards the closest Guardian. They jumped up the front, thrusting their blade into its eye before flipping onto the next. The process of picking off Guardians continued as the Champion flipped and twisted their way through the masses of mechanical monsters.
Flipping off the top of a Guardian, the Sheikah noticed Guardians getting away from them. They had noticed the others! Y/n ran towards where their friends were and, in their panic, missed the giant arm heading their way.
CRUNCH
With a strangled cry, the Sheikah champion hit the ground. They tried to stand, curling in on themselves as they hit the ground again with a sob. There were too many. Y/n was exhausted. Everything hurt. So. Much.
Letting out a cough, Y/n felt a warm liquid trickle down their face. They could hear the Guardian closing in on them. The rest seemed to have lost interest when the champion fell, allowing this one to make sure it was for the last time. Propping themselves up, Y/n could see the red target on their chest. Mustering all the strength left in their body, they launched their sword at the Guardian. It struck the eye and, twitching in its failure, the beast fell. Unfortunately, this drew the rest of the Guardians back to the young Sheikah on the ground. Y/n fell back to the ground.
Thump.
Guardians picked their way over mounds of mechanical parts.
Thump.
Y/n closed their eyes.
Thump.
At least it didn’t hurt anymore.
BOOM!
Golden light erupted across the fields of Hyrule, extinguishing the flames and sucking the light from the Guardians deadly eyes.
It was warm.
Y/n smiled. Zelda had done it. She wasn’t a failure. She had unlocked her sealing powers and finally, Ganon would know defeat once more.
Y/n watched the clouds clear from the sky, stars beginning to light up the night. They supposed Ganon had pulled back from the golden aura. Maybe one day they could lay under the stars with Link. Swallowing the metallic taste of their blood the fallen warrior reached a hand up. They basked in the light of the stars twinkling above. It was like they were waving the champion up to their sides. As Y/n’s light faded, the stars grew brighter, blurring together into one light.
And with a soft breath, the Sheikah Champion allowed themselves to rest at last.
------
100 years later Link stood there watching over the fields of Hyrule. Calamity Ganon had finally been defeated. Zelda was safe as was Hyrule. The duo had made their way down from the wreckage of the castle, ready to begin their new adventure. They were free of their destiny, but the memories would follow with them forever. The Hylian Champion felt a tug and he spun back to face the castle. There above floated the spirits of his fellow Champions. Finally free from the corruption of Ganon and his malice beasts. But what stole the breath from his lungs was the spirit of the one he loved- Y/n- floating there with a grin on their face. Noticing him watching, they sent him a goofy wave, knocking their spectral arm against Revali. Link let out a snort. They never changed. Their lights began to dim as the Champions began to walk away leaving him to watch their final goodbyes. He smiled softly as he saw Y/n mouth ‘I love you’, a hand pressing against their heart, something he was quick to respond to. With one last wave, the Sheikah Champion faded away. And as Link watched the spirits of his friends- his love- fade into light, he let a tear fall quickly followed by more.
The battle was won.
