Llega la peste

Esta semana pudimos asistir a la presentación de La peste, nueva serie de Movistar + con un reparto encabezado por Paco León (Kiki, Aída), Pablo Molinero, Manolo Solo (B, La isla mínima), Sergio Castellanos (Los protegidos, Toledo) o Patricia López Arnáiz (La herida). Creada y dirigida por Alberto Rodríguez, dueño de éxitos del cine como La isla mínima, Grupo 7 o El hombre de las mil caras, y con un guion de Rafael Cobos, compañero habitual de Rodríguez, este thriller de seis episodios se situará en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI, donde un condenado por la Inquisición debe resolver los asesinatos de varias personalidades de la sociedad sevillana para obtener el perdón. El rodaje comenzará el 6 de febrero, recorriendo distintas ciudades de Sevilla y Extremadura durante dieciocho semanas. Luis Miguel Gilpérez, presidente de Telefónica España en un buen momento para Movistar +, con más de veinte proyectos en desarrollo y la intención de estrenar cuatro series este año, comunica su intención de convertirse en la mayor productora de contenidos en español a nivel mundial.

UP ha encargado diez episodios de Date My Dad, comedia sobre un hombre de cuarenta años (Barry Watson; 7th Heaven, Samantha Who?), viudo desde hace tres, que debe criar a sus tres hijas menores junto a Rosa, su suegra (Raquel Welch, The Prince and the Pauper, The Three Musketeers).

Sky Atlantic ha dado luz verde a Gone, drama creado, escrito y protagonizado por Lennie James (Line of Duty, The Walking Dead) sobre un hombre alcohólico acusado de un terrible crimen que, mientras averigua la verdad, podrá enmendar errores de su pasado. Suranne Jones (Scott & Bailey, Doctor Foster) y Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire, This Is England) le acompañan.
