I hope everyone that is reading this is having a really good day. And if you are not, just know that in every new minute that passes you have an opportunity to change that.

She was still holding out for something that wasn’t going to happen. She was good at waiting. That seemed like a sad thing to be good at.

It was meh, mostly cause it was boring. I didn't really want to finish reading it, the only things that kept me reading was the sisterhood between Quinn and Mattie, the situation with Mattie, her parents, and Jonathan Dawes. I forced myself through the other stuff. Not only was it boring, but it was also annoying and confusing how each paragraph was about a different character(s). It IS NOT consistent with characters, I would have much preferred consistency where each chapter is concentrated on one or two characters. Quinn also kept me going. Quinn, why, WHY. Thank god I only spent $1.25 on this thing and downloaded the audiobook free.

I’m afraid of time… I mean, I’m afraid of not having enough time. Not enough time to understand people, how they really are, or to be understood myself. I’m afraid of the quick judgements or mistakes everybody makes. You can’t fix them without time.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008)
Written by Elizabeth Chandler, Ann Brashares. Directed by Sanaa Hamri.
Starring America Ferrara, Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, Blake Lively.
A dramatic friendship film that proves that even when people have gone through the coming-of-age stage of their lives, they will always have a lot to learn as they continue to navigate the world. It also looks at the idea of placing importance in inanimate objects as opposed to believing in the power that people themselves have, & looks at individuals as forces to be reckoned with because people can be so surprising.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)
Written by Ann Brashares, Delia Ephron, Elizabeth Chandler. Directed by Ken Kwapis.
Starring Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrara, Blake Lively.
A feminist coming of age story surrounding the ideas of codependency within the relationships of adolescent females, & how healthy it can often be to break those bounds & step out on one's own. On the flip side, it also explores how strong friendships are essential to the mental & physical wellbeing of young people, & how detrimental loneliness can be at any age. It dives into many real life issues, including divorce, death, & love, as well as touching on issues of racism in the sense that people of colour are often overlooked in favour of their white counterparts.

My Name is Memory- Ann Brashares
Wow! Long time no update, which is the fault of being in a reading slump from AFTG, which still has not left me alone since I finished it. But, a simple review of a book that took me too long to finish is finally here, spoiler free as well!
This book was recommended to me by a friend, and so it holds a higher opinion in my mind then if it had not been recommended to me. It was, to put t simply, fine. I loved the concept but the main characters behavior is stalker-ish at best, and full on obsession pretending to be love at the worst. Would I recommend it to others? No. Did I hate it? Also no. It was just bland, especially after my last read. Who knows, perhaps I’ll revisit it later and have a higher opinion, but for now:
Overall opinion, good concept, boring book. 5/10.
Next book is Radio Silence, recommended by the same friend, hopefully it will take less time.
