Tumblr media
An eerie silence served as your only company in the Avengers Compound the last few days, some of your teammates off to finish the HYDRA mission that left you injured while the others took time off to visit their families over the holidays. With the promise to keep their comms on in case they would be needed until the New Year.
Now all that remained in the Compound with you were a few junior agents that drew the ends of the short stick, Val, and Loki.
Sadly your teammate, friend, and occasional drinking buddy Val was out blissfully spreading holiday cheer throughout New York with her girlfriend.
And Loki? Well, the God of Mischief wasn't exactly on chummy terms with you. Didn't even so much as give you a passing glance when you were at mission briefings.
Which was a damn shame because what you would give just to get lost in those stormy ocean eyes.
You made your way to the pantry in the common room to replenish your stash of snacks, towing along a little wagon to help you on the way back. Every step had you feeling every square inch of bruising on the left side of your body that you got from being unlucky enough to be caught in the blast radius of an explosion at the HYDRA base you were trying to infiltrate with Shaun just a few days ago.
Your phone buzzed with a new message. "Speak of the devil," you muttered to yourself, seeing Xu's name on your screen as soon as you pulled up next to the elaborate barista setup, putting a few Lindor truffles in a small bag for your wagon. "Hey FRIDAY?"
"Yes, Agent Y/L/N?" the AI answered immediately.
"Could you make me a white chocolate mocha with peppermint while I raid the latest Costco delivery for uhh…supplies. Yeah, I'll go with that."
"Right away, Agent Y/L/N." The sound of the barista setup whirring to life filled the kitchen area as you checked on Shaun's message.
Thor just mentioned that he'll ask his brother to take a look at your injuries. Maybe get him to kiss it all better. He finished his text with a smirking emoji, along with some hand gestures that painted a less than family friendly picture, making you roll your eyes at the screen.
You recorded a voice memo for him. "You know that he'd need to actually be willing to look at me so that he could see the damage from the blast, right? And last I checked I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm Medusa reincarnated and I'll turn his Asgardian ass to stone."
You went on to the ridiculously stocked pantry to rummage the delivery that came just a few hours ago, trying to find a bag of Jalapeño Cheetos somewhere in the mix, when you heard a tiny meow from somewhere behind you. You looked to the ground to find a black and white munchkin cat looking up at you with wide blue eyes.
"Hi there, baby…" you cooed, surprised the adorable little creature hadn't hissed or scratched at you yet. Cats normally didn't take to you, which was a shame because you often found yourself fighting the urge to pick one up or stroke its head whenever you crossed paths with one during your errand runs. "How'd you get in here?"
The tiny kitten caught you by surprise with what it did next, walking up to your feet and proceeding to rub its cheek against your ankle, a little purr emanating from its small fluffy body. You decided to risk the hissing and scratching and bent down to pick it up, your heart melting once he placed his paws on your cheek and proceeded to nuzzle your face with his nose.
"Aren't you a complete darling." He settled into your arm as you carried him out of the pantry, a little whine escaping him when you placed him down on the counter. He stood on his hind legs and made grabby hands towards you, blue eyes wide and pleading for you to pick him back up. "Just a second, sweet baby, I'm just getting you something to drink."
You took out a tiny sauce dish and poured some cream into it, pushing it toward the kitten that responded with a slow blink and a meow before licking away at the rich liquid.
"I'm sure your owner's gonna crucify me for giving you that but I can't help spoiling little fur babies especially when they're as adorable as you are." You took a sip of the coffee FRIDAY had finished making before shouting out a question for her. "Hey FRIDAY, you have any clue who this little bub belongs to?"
It took a second for her to answer. "Negative, Agent Y/L/N. There is currently no other agent on the premises looking for their pet. I also see no collar on them and from a preliminary scan they do not seem to have a microchip on them."
Those words stopped the kitten from drinking to look up toward the ceiling and hiss at the source of the voice. He only relaxed once you started stroking his fur again, going back to drinking and letting out a few purrs along the way. "No owner, huh? Does that mean I can invoke Finders Keepers then?"
"It appears so, Agent Y/L/N. What would be your new companion's name?"
The kitten looked up at you, as if expecting your answer. You wondered briefly if he could actually understand what it was that you and FRIDAY were talking about. "How about Onyx? I know I know it's absolute garbage for originality to name a black cat after a black gemstone but--"
His eyes widened before he climbed up your arm, only stopping once he'd reached your shoulder to nuzzle at your neck again. "It seems he likes the name, Agent Y/L/N."
"Then it's settled." You placed a soft kiss on top of his head. "Hello there, Onyx."
You brought your new kitten back to your apartment, setting him down on your bed while you tried to take off your sweatshirt as gently as you could manage.
"Ah, fuck it," you hissed as you felt the bruising around your ribs, letting out a pained sound when you opted to whip the garment over your head as fast as you could instead. Your reflection revealed that the bruising on the left side of your torso was quickly becoming a frightening deep purple.
Onyx meowed from your bed, again standing on his back legs and making grabby hands at you, eyes wide with evident pain.
"What's wrong, little baby?" He placed his paws gently on your side when you made your way to him, pressing his nose to the skin near where your bruising began. "Oh don't you worry your pretty little head about those, sweetie. They'll heal…eventually."
He kept on pressing his face to the area, your heart melting for the tiny kitten even more realizing that he was pressing kisses to your wounds.
"You really are such a precious little bub, aren't you?" You picked your new kitten up, placing him on the armchair in your reading nook before setting an alarm for dinner in a few hours and settling into your bed. "Get some sleep, sweet baby Onyx. I'll see you in a few hours."
Your eyes had only closed for a few seconds before you heard another tiny meow followed by a soft thud, immediately making you sit up on the bed looking for the kitten. He'd already made his way to your bedside, standing on his back legs and reaching up trying to climb up the sheets.
"Alrighty then," you mumbled, picking him up and placing him on the pillow beside yours. You rolled over to lay on your right side to remove any pressure to your injuries the best you could, hovering your finger near Onyx's nose once you'd settled in. He leaned up and pressed his nose to your finger, paws kneading on his pillow. "Boop," you giggled. "Sweet dreams, baby."
Just as you'd closed your eyes to try catching an hour or two of rest before you had to eat again and take those pain meds that Banner prescribed you, your phone began to blare Immigrant Song way too loudly by your nightstand. There were only two contacts you gave that ringtone to and one of them was currently out with her girlfriend.
"Talk to me, Thunder," you muttered, groaning when your stretch to reach for your phone made your bruising smart a bit. "You all good over there?"
"Absolutely grand, Lady Y/N," the blond god's voice boomed from the other end. "I was just wondering if you could check on my brother, he refuses to answer his phone yet again."
"That's gonna be a hard pass from me, buddy. I've already been cut and bruised, I'm not too keen to add stabbed to that list. He's probably just practicing spells. Or out on a date." You winced at that last part, an irrational part of you flaring up with unwarranted jealousy at the thought of Loki out with just about anyone. "Just--I don't know, check up on him yourself when you get back. You can take a stab better than me anyways."
Thor sighed loudly, the low rumbling making Onyx step back from his pillow and start hissing at the phone. You stroked the top of his head to calm him down. "Very well then, Lady Y/N. Rest well. We're scheduled to return after nightfall."
"I'll have pizza here waiting for you guys. Bring your own mead." You clicked off and tried to get some sleep, having FRIDAY place an order for pizzas and wings for when the team gets back. Your new kitten padded his way over to you, resting his head on your outstretched arm and letting out a soft purr.
Tumblr media
The sound of the Quinjet coming back roused you from your nap, along with the feel of little paws on your arm and Onyx nuzzling your cheek.
"Looks like everyone's home," you mumbled, pressing a few kisses to the kitten's head before making your way out of bed. "Come on, little baby. Time to meet the team."
With a whole lot of discomfort and groaning, you slipped your sweatshirt back on before presenting your hand to Onyx and patting your shoulder, prompting the kitten to climb up your arm and perch himself on the spot, nuzzling his face behind your ear.
The team had already arrived and filled the common area when you made your way there, some of them helping themselves to the pizza. Barnes and Wilson walked in with coolers, probably filled with chilled bottles of beer inside.
"Hey, there she is!" Shaun exclaimed, pulling out a bottle of Pepsi before making his way over to you and pulling you into an embrace. "How's the healing go--Whoa there." He took a step back as Onyx hissed in his direction. "Where'd you come from, little guy?"
You shh'd the kitten, pressing kisses to his little cheek to calm him down. "It's okay, baby, Shaun is a friend. One of the good guys." You turned back to your mission partner. "Shaun, this is Onyx."
"Always thought you were a dog person, Babes," Natasha spoke up before taking your arm and walking you to the food. "We leave for one day and you become a cat lady. Where'd you even find the time to go to a shelter and get baby blue eyes over here?"
"I didn't, actually," you answered the master assassin. "I just went to the pantry and poof there he was, meowing at my feet. Like the cat distribution system mailed him to me by magic or something." He nuzzled your cheek again before starting to knead at your face.
"And he doesn't belong to anyone? You're sure?" Shaun spoke up, backing up immediately when he tried to pet your new kitten and getting hissed at. "Easy, kitty. I'm a friend, I'm not gonna hurt you." The martial artist turned back to you. "He wasn't collared? Or chipped?"
"Nope. FRIDAY scanned him and everything."
"You wanna think about getting him chipped?"
Onyx hissed again at the question before swishing his tail around to curtain your hair around him, his little body shaking on your shoulder. As if he was silently pleading for you to not take him out to have him chipped.
"Don't you worry, baby. I won't get you chipped, I wouldn't hurt you like that," you cooed, letting out a little giggle as he placed his paws on your cheeks and nuzzled your nose, giving the tip tiny licks. You were so focused on your cat's affections that the bellowing of Thor looking for his brother was a distant muffled noise in the background.
Until he got to where you were standing and his booming voice was impossible to ignore. "What an adorable little beast you have, with you, Lady Y/N." Onyx buried himself in the crook of your neck, shaking at the sound of Thor's voice.
"It's alright, Onyx. It's just Thunder, he may be all big and menacing on the outside but he's just a fluff ball on the inside. Come on, go say hi."
The blond Asgardian approached you, examining your new pet carefully before a knowing grin graced his bearded face. "Hello, Brother."
A chill went down your spine at his words. "What the fuck d'you just say, Blondie?"
He motioned toward the kitten on your shoulder. "This is the explanation for his lack of replies on his phone. His absence from his quarters. Lady Y/N, the little beast hiding himself in your hair…is my brother. That is Loki."
In your stupor, the only words you could manage to say were, "Bitch what?!"

I had just put my son to bed, when his tired little voice asks me something.
"Mama, is daddy coming this weekend?"
I look up from tucking him in with surprise.
"Um, I'm not sure"
I was...or I thought I was. Loki and I were together for over a decade and had our son four years ago.
Our relationship wasn't perfect, but we made it work. In spite of the long nights that consisted of screaming matches and the other going to bed angry, we would eventually talk it out and get right back to normal. Was it easy? No, but we knew that we made each other better people. Nothing in life that's worth keeping was gonna be easy.
Our main issue was him not making enough time for me and our child. I understood splitting his time between working with the Avengers and going back and forth from Asgard would take up a lot of his days, but we always got through the rough patches together.
You miss a couple dinners and forget some errands, sure, I could forgive that...but the final straw was when he'd forgotten our son's birthday.
Long after the party was over and everyone had gone home, I still sat in the living room in tears, after having had to put my own crying child to bed.
"He forgot. He really forgot", I thought to myself.
Just then, I hear the front door open and in walks Loki, making his way towards me on the couch.
"Hi, darling", he kisses my cheek.
That's when he noticed the popped balloons and confetti scattered all across the floor.
"What did I miss?"
"What did you miss?", I repeated,
Standing up.
"Loki, do you know what day it is today?"
"Friday"
I close my eyes, sighing before wiping my eyes.
"October twenty-third"
He takes a moment to think, when the realization hits him.
"Shit", he whispers to himself,
"Yeah...shit"
"(Y/N)-"
"He was so excited to blow out the candles with his dad", my voice shakes.
"I know-"
"Do you?"
Not having anything else to say for himself, he simply muttered.
"I'm sorry"
"It's not me you should be apologizing to", I say,
About to walk off, when he takes my arm.
"I'll make it up to him-"
"You always say that, but you never stick to your word. Look, I'm tired of being second place to your job, we both are. Do you even remember the last time we had dinner together? Or even tucking him in for bed?"
I could see the tears beginning to pool in his eyes. I shake my head, before pulling my arm away from him.
"Time got away from me, the team-"
"I don't care about the team! I care about us! Our family!", I yell,
Catching him off guard.
"I've stood behind you on everything and this was the one thing that I needed you to show up for. I've put up with your shit for too fucking long and I can't do it anymore. All we do nowadays is fight and I can't tolerate being taken for granted over and over again. I won't"
"What are you saying?", he whispered,
"I'm saying I'm done", I shrugged.
His gaze softened and his shoulders dropped.
"(Y/N)-"
"You need to go", I sob,
"Please, don't do this. We can talk about it, we can work things out, I promise, I will do better-", he tries pulling me into an embrace,
Only to be pushed away.
"We tried and nothing's worked, even if we go to bed now, I'll still feel the same way in the morning-"
"I don't want to leave-", he says,
Wrapping his arms around me, as I kept trying to push him off.
"Loki, go"
"I can't"
"Please, go, I can't do this again"
"I can't!", he cried,
"GO-"
"I CAN'T!", he shouts,
Slowly falling to his knees, as he held onto my legs and hid his face in my stomach.
"I can't", he wept.
My hand goes over my mouth to muffle the sounds of my sobs. I eventually pull away from him and walked back towards our once shared bedroom. It was the hardest walk of my life. Knowing I was walking away from him.
"When I wake up", I say over my shoulder,
"Don't be here"
It's been almost a year since then and it still hurts to think about. It didn't help that our anniversary was coming up either.
I often fall back into wondering if I'd done the right thing. Did I? Would I ever know?
"But, I promise I'll ask"
"Does daddy not love me anymore?"
It shattered my heart to hear him say that.
"No! Baby", I say,
Softly cupping his cheek.
"Your father loves you so so much. It's just his job that keeps him busy"
He sticks his pinky out, making me chuckle. I intertwine mine around his, after wiping away a stray tear.
"Never think for one second that we don't love you"
Just as I placed a kiss atop my son's head, I hear someone yelling outside my apartment building.
"(Y/N)!"
I recognized that voice. It was Sylvie. What was she doing here in the middle of the night?
"Mama?"
"Shhh, go to bed, baby, I'll be right back", I shushed,
Leaving the apartment and locking the door behind me. The elevator takes me all the way down to the lobby and I made my way outside.
"Sylvie-"
"What did you tell him?!"
"What? What are you talking about?"
"Don't play stupid with me, what did you tell Loki?"
"Nothing! I haven't spoken to him for weeks!"
"Horse shit"
"I haven't!"
She sighs, holding her forehead.
"Why? What happened?"
She sniffles and using her sleeve to wipe away her tears.
"Sylvie, I know we aren't friends, but you can tell me"
She scoffs, looking back at me.
"You can", I reassured.
She shakes her head, taking a seat on the curb. I let out a deep exhale, before joining her.
It was tense. I could tell she was holding something back and it only added to the anxiety that was making my stomach turn. After a few deep breaths, she finally breaks the uncomfortable silence.
"He said your name in his sleep"
I'd never felt my heart drop so fast. My eyes widen, as I turn back to her.
"What?"
"Last night. I heard him", she nodded,
"Sylvie", I exhaled,
Shutting my eyes, whilst shaking my head.
"So either that means he's been sneaking behind my back with you or-"
"He hasn't, I swear"
"...Then what I'd been suspecting is true", she muttered her breath.
My eyebrows meet in confusion, wondering what she meant by that. She finally turns to meet my gaze and in the street lamp's glow, I could make out her defeated tired eyes looking back at me.
I knew that look. I had that look not too long ago, which meant what she had to say was nothing short of painful.
"He still loves you", she wept,
Causing me to shake my head.
"No-"
"Then why?", she shrugs.
How was I possibly meant to respond to that?
"You know...whenever he tells me that he loves me, I would be so overjoyed...but for some reason, in the back of mind, I never truly believed him", she confessed,
"And then I thought to myself 'Well, why would I? She was his first love and the mother of his child. How could I ever compete with that? She's beautiful and smart and strong'. Deep down, I always knew that what we had wasn't real, as I am still fighting the ghost of you that will forever live in his memories"
I was speechless. To hear her say all of this was gut-wrenching. She didn't deserve this and I knew that.
"I am so sorry"
"You have nothing to apologize for", she says,
Getting back on her feet, as I did the same.
"Sylvie, I assure you that whatever we had was over the moment we broke up"
"Maybe...but not for him", she smiled sadly,
Giving me a tight embrace, before walking away.
I couldn't just go to bed after that. I had to talk to Loki myself. Whatever he did to us was one thing, but Sylvie didn't deserve this. I went back up stairs to get my son, not bothering to get dressed and dropped him off at my parent's house on the way to the Avengers Tower.
I submitted my personalized key pass, which allowed me inside and took the elevator all the way up to Loki's quarters. I pushed past the double doors and find him standing at the floor to ceiling windows.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?", I spit,
Walking up to him.
"I'm assuming you heard", he says,
Without looking away from the city.
"Sylvie didn't deserve that. She loved you!"
I was met with nothing but silence. All I could do was sigh in frustration.
"Why?! Why did you have to ruin another good thing for yourself?! She was perfect-"
"But she wasn't you!", he snapped,
Turning to face me.
"You of all people should know that no matter what happens, I would always choose you"
I could feel the tears gather in my eyes.
"I tried to let go, but I couldn't", his voice goes quiet,
"Despite my best efforts and even while being with someone else, all I found myself doing was wishing it was you"
I shake my head, as a lone tear made its why down my cheek.
"You should've thought about that before you took me for granted"
He cups my face, resting his forehead against mine.
"That was my greatest mistake...and I will never forgive myself for it"
"Loki-"
I couldn't stop myself from growing weak at his touch.
"I love you. This has always been true"
"I never knew what I had until I'd lost it", he added,
"You hurt me...and you hurt our son", I wept,
"And for that, I am so sorry. I will never stop regretting the things I'd done to you both and if given the chance, I'd change before it was too late, but I am begging you now. I will never forsake your hearts again, please", he pleaded.
There were so many emotions coming at me from all directions. Anger, sadness, confusion...but also a sense of solace. Solace in knowing that he had finally recognized his mistakes.
"If you'll have me...I will never hurt you or our son ever again"
"How can I be sure you mean it this time?", I questioned.
In that moment, the God of Mischief pulled away and kneeled before me, placing a hand on his heart. I couldn't help but feel a strong sense of Deja Vu.
"I meant every word", he reassured,
Taking my hand into his.
"I've lost you once. I will not make that same mistake again"
I searched deeply into his eyes and all I could find was sincerity. For the first time in a long time, I was finally sure.
"Loki"
I pulled him back onto his feet and cupped his cold face.
"I love you too...I don't think I ever stopped"
He chuckles slightly in relief.
"That's all I've ever wanted to hear", he says,
Before pulling me in by the waist and pressing his lips against mine. The kiss started off mellow and soft, but it quickly grew heated. He picks me up by my thighs and effortlessly wrapped them around his waist. He ended up
My fingers sneak into his black locks, grasping at the roots and causing a delicious groan to escape him.
Using his godly strength, he lifts me up higher into the air, now throwing my legs over his shoulders. With a flash of his magic, I was now completely naked up against the glass.
"People will see", I say out breath,
"Let them", he grinned,
"Let them envy the way I ravish your beautiful body, knowing they will never get the chance"
I could feel myself grow wetter at his comment.
"By the looks of it, you don't seem to mind either", he teases,
Before kissing the inside of my thighs, slowly making his way towards where I needed him most. He wrapped his soft lips around my bundle of nerves, making me gasp at the sensation. I was being tasted like I'd be the last thing he'd ever have. A man on death row, savoring his final meal.
"It has been to long", he mumbled against me.
"It has", I whined,
As his skilled tongue drew circles over my clit again and again, till the knot in my stomach began to tense. I missed how easily he made me melt.
My fingers snuck into his hair once more, holding on for dear life. His own rubbing up and down my slit, before slipping themselves inside and pressing against my sweet spot. I could feel him grin at the wanton cries and moans that spilled out of me.
It was more the obvious that I was already about hit my peak.
"Close already?", he teased,
Continuing his ministrations.
"I must taste your release at once. Come for me, sweet girl", he demanded.
That was all I needed to hear.
I came with a moan so loud, I was thanking my lucky stars the walls were sound-proof.
Still, coming down from the euphoric high, he lets me down gently. Firmly holding my weak frame to steady me. Once he realized it was going to take a while for my legs to calm from there incessant shaking, he picked me up and laid me down on the sofa.
"Tonight, I will make up for lost time", he mumbled against my lips.
"I will show you just how deep my everlasting devotion for you lies"
With the help of his magic once again, he causes his trousers to disappear, along with his boxers.
His hard cock aching for attention.
"Do you see what you do to me? How desperate and needy I am for you?", he growls in my ear,
Causing my skin to raise in goosebumps. He takes the tip and rubs it up my already throbbing entrance.
"I've missed this so much", he confesses,
Before thrusting into me and ripping a cry from the depth of my chest. Without giving a moment to adjust, he began pounding into me at a merciless pace.
By this time, the sun had already began to peak from the horizon and the room smelt of sex and sweat. It was now his turn to yank at the roots of my hair, exposing my bare neck for his hungry teeth.
"I will mark you and claim you as mine once more", he mumbled against my warm skin,
As he repeatedly slammed into my g-spot. It didn't take long for my next orgasm to build, as my legs were already threatening to snap close and all I could do was scream out his name again and again like a fallen prayer.
I could tell by the rhythm of his hips faltering that he wasn't far behind either.
"Meet me there, darling. Come for me", he groaned,
As we both were thrusted over the edge. He spills himself inside my clenching walls, letting his head fall back at the overwhelming pleasure. Out of breath and well-spent, he collapses on top of me and wraps his arms around my waist.
We lay in the comforting silence for a moment, till he found the strength to pull out of me and lay me atop his chest.
"Yours"
I look up at him, as he brushed away a hair stuck to my forehead.
"Always"

LOKI SEASON 2 FINALE ... LET'S DO THIS
One last time. Let's do this. *hands out tissues*
HEAVY SPOILERS FOR THE FINALE UNDER THE CUT!
Okay. Let's face it. I was sobbing, you were sobbing, we were all sobbing, right?!
This episode was so damn good. An absolute cinematic masterpiece and a finale worth a beloved character like Loki.
If you've seen my Instagram story today you'll know that I was ugly crying and struggling to breathe.
Honestly. I was a mess. I still am a mess. I'm tearing up again as I'm writing this. I'm still processing. And I have so many questions!
First of all... Loki learned everything O.B. knew about the Temporal Loom and the mechanics of the TVA, spent fucking centuries doing this? Can we please talk about the commitment? I realise there was a comical aspect to this but UM?! The commitment!
The winks throughout killed me. Betcha. His calm professor-like voice had me feral, thank you very much.
When he realised that there is nothing that could fix the Temporal Loom... I immediately thought he's gonna have to stop He Who Remains from dying. When he went back there... my heart almost stopped.
For a moment, I honestly believed that he would kill Sylvie. I thought that's where the conversation he had with Mobius (which was so damn heartbreaking and epic and such an amazing verbal conclusion to Loki's way of thinking and realisation... you could practically see him struggling with the right decision and the fact that he went to ask Mobius for help is just so damn heartbreaking and sweet!) was leading. That he'd sacrifice the one person who was truly like him, who he was on one wavelength with, an outsider like him.
(That conversation with He Who Remains... him saying he paved the way for him to be able to manipulate time... and Loki outsmarting him and finding a way to keep everyone alive?! PLEASE CAN WE JUST?!)
But instead... damn, talk about a sacrifice. Loki is a fucking hero. Even writing this is so damn satisfying. Loki is a hero. And you know why that is so damn special? It's not because we wanted to prove that he's not a villain, it's not because we desperately wanted to see something in him that we obviously knew was there but it's because we didn't need him to be. He's our Loki, our cheeky God of Mischief. We loved him regardless. And now he is a hero.
Loki, the God of Stories. Loki, the God of Time.
The very moment he went down there I started sobbing. I knew at that moment that there was going to be a sacrifice of some sort. As he walked out there... and the cape appeared and those HORNS. THOSE HORNS that looked just like the cracked marble of the Citadel and He Who Remains' TemPad... I was screaming, sobbing, ugly crying... is it silly when I say that I was actually struggling to breathe?!
Can we please talk about how powerful Loki is? The fucking most powerful being in the entire multiverse? He practically became the Temporal Loom. He controls everything now, sees everything, protects everything... I still can't wrap my head around this!
It is epic. It is so fucking epic and such an amazing conclusion to his arc. Is it the end? I'm not sure. I don't want to think so. There's gonna be a multiversal war, there's gonna be Kang Variants...
We saw purple light when Renslayer woke up in the Void and I'm sure as hell that was a Kang Variant who came to pick her up. So she's gonna make another appearance for sure. So I am 100% sure this is not the last we've seen of Loki or Sylvie or Mobius. There's gonna be more, I'm sure of it.
But it was epic. Epic, epic, epic. I loved it so much. When that throne turned golden and he sat down on it, I lost it. That last scene where he smirked? THE MUSIC? The fact that his cape turned into fucking time branches?!
I have so many damn questions still. Will he be there forever? Will he be alone? Loki said that he's afraid of being alone... and now he is and that is so fucking tragic and heartbreaking. Is that the true sacrifice? The true act of heroism here, the Loki lesson to be learned? Is that how it has to be for the rest of his existence? He doesn't deserve to be alone even if this was the most selfless thing of him to do. Selfless. Loki. Beyond him saving his family I never thought I'd write something like this. Gods, damn it. And what will happen once the multiversal war breaks out which, inevitably, it will?!
Guys... let's do a group hug. I think we all need it after this epic finale.
EDIT: I forgot to mention how epic I thought the Yggdrasil reference was. I immediately cried out Yggdrasil when I saw it!

Yandere RoR Loki x Fem! Reader: Love Potion
How does the God of Mischief react when he falls in love with one of the human contestants in Ragnarok? How does he take it when he sees that they love another God?
Not very well to both.
A/N: Sorry if this seems too OOC, I did try to do my best since I'm still trying to get a feel for writing these characters! Feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Tumblr media
Being the god of trickery and deceit, Loki was never afraid to use unsavory methods to get what he wanted, and this situation was no different. He stood next to Aphrodite, watching with careful eyes and an unreadable smile on his lips as he watched the pink liquid in the cauldron stir. Apbrodite did not share that smile, in fact, she looked rather digusted as she held her head low with shame as she threw in the final ingredients.
"...Her love for you will be false." Aphrodite warned, her voice low. Loki let out a low chuckle and looked at the goddess, "Love? Is that what you think this is about?"
Aphrodite only frowned and furrowed her brows as he continued to condescend
"No, no, I'm way too above that sort of thing," the God continued to mock, "This is about control."
He wasn't wrong, Aphrodite noted, but there was something else she could sense about this. The fear of being controlled. It appears the God of Mischief has had something happen to him, something that shook him to his core and that nothing, not even his quick wit and sly cunning, could stop it from happening.
He had fallen in love with someone who was in love with someone else, a God nonetheless.
Until now, he thinks with a smirk as Aphrodite hands him the pink liquid colored potion. She looks ashamed of herself as she sees Loki's twisted grin grow on his face as the pink glow from the potion reflects in his greedy purple eyes. Even though she didn't look kindly onto mortals, she couldn't help but pity you as she thinks about what Gods could have been cruel enough to have given you the misfortune of catching Loki's eye.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loki pours the pink liquid into one chalice in his room, his face uncharacteristically stoic and his mind too deep into thought. He wasn't sure if he was embarrassed, angry, or upset by the predicament he was in.
Embarrassed because he was doing all of this for a mortal whose beauty was somewhat abnormal by mortals standards but still below a God's, angry because this all could have been avoided if he had acted faster and hadn't pushed you away, and upset because...well...because he remembered Aphrodite's words.
"Her love for you will be false."
At the time, he was so convinced that as long as he had her love that he would be happy, false or not, but now as he had this time to himself to really think; would he really be happy if your love for him was false? Could he accept the fact that whatever relationship you built with him, would just be all because of a single potion?
Then he thinks about the events that lead up to this, about why he HAD to do this. About how this was your fault.
From the very start of Ragnarok you had caught his eye. A great warrior originating from (your country), you were known as cunning, sly, and unpredictable. You fought with brute strength and unbeatable strategy on the battlefields, while most Gods detested against the wars humans had (except for war gods obviously), Loki liked seeing your fights. He wouldn't say that he "adored" you, you were still a mortal after all, but you lived fast and as a result, died young. In fact, he forgot about you for a long while after you had died and didn't really mourn you like your battalion of soldiers had done but then the start of Ragnarok began.
Seeing your name on the roster kinda made him go, "Huh, okay." but seeing you in person was a different experience entirely. After the battle of Jack the Ripper, Brunhilde still needed time to find a champion to go against Shiva and while you volunteered for the challenge, you went against a different God.
And won. Giving humanity it's 3rd win and 1 step away from the God's. Yet, Loki didn't feel the same rage he felt towards you like he had with the previous two champions, because he was too amazed at the fight. The trickery, the smoke and mirrors, unlike Jack who was gambling his life: you made it appear effortless as you toyed with the God. Tearing up not only their mind but their body for the arena to see before you landed the killing strike. Maybe you hid your fear well or maybe you had none at all, and that's what made him like watching you again even more. Except this time, it had surpassed more than a simple like.
"I don't think you're supposed to be here.~" You sang, your tone as sadistic as it had been in the battlefield. Loki revealed himself floating in the air per usual, his legs crossed and his back hunched over as he smiled down at you with his chin in his hands. You raise an eyebrow at him as your small smirk widened, "Looking for a fight, God?"
"Oooh, how confident. I'm not sure if that intruiges me or pisses me off!" He chuckles. You shrug at his response, "As long as you and your friends know that I'm gonna make sure Humanity survives against your wishes, that's all I really care about."
"Big talk from someone who died young." He shoots back teasingly.
"Died young and was a high commanding general who was a queen on countless battlefields with many suitors. All of which weren't able to beat me in battle at my true strength." You reminded, not so gently. Loki tilts his head at your words, "Huh, odd way to mention you're single."
"Odd way of saying you're interested."
He started sneaking into the human part of the arena more, to talk to you, and to continue your little conversations which were more or less passive aggressive insults towards one another. He had learned a few specifics from your life back when you were alive: About your childhood and some struggles you had to overcome, how you had to fight hard for your spot in your military in order to became the renowned warrior you were, and how many suitors tried and died trying to fight you for your hand. No one could beat you when you used your full strength...well, no mortal could beat you.
"So tell me, little mortal, if I were to fight you and beat you for your hand...does that mean you'd marry me?" He asked, mostly out of genuine curiosity and to see if he could fluster you. He did not by the way you side eyed him with that same confident grin, "Maybe. Why? You want me to be yours, puny god?"
Only you could get away with calling him that.
Only you could make his heart skip a beat when you asked if he wanted you as his.
But he had ignored it, his arrogance making him shrug it off and telling him that he could never have a mortal as his lover, not when you and your kind were so beneath him. Which he told you, straight to your face, and you only laughed it off before returning to your quarters.
If he hadn't been so blinded from his ego, maybe he wouldn't feel like a fool, having to resort to methods found in fairytales to claim you. The least he could have done was fought you then and there and win, so even if he didn't want your heart in the moment, he could have it later when he realized that he truly did want you. But no, Loki had rejected the idea entirely believing it foolish to take a human lover.
In fact, he found it so foolish that it kept him awake that night. Thinking about what it'd be like if he challenged you to a fight and won your hand, the idea of having you submit yourself to him gave him a thrill, and whether he'd spare you from the shared fate of humanity after the Gods had won (for there was no doubt in his mind they would).
These thoughts took so much of his time that it started to frustrate him, he shouldn't be letting a human take over so much of his mind, especially when he knew that there fate- though they put up a good fight- was sealed with doom. So he started to avoid you and give you the cold shoulder, which was entertaining for a while to him.
The look of hurt you gave when he stared at you with indifferent eyes, the longing way you'd gave at him like a lost puppy waiting for for its master to return home only for you to try and keep up your tough facade. Everything like that brought joy to Loki because he felt like he was getting even with you for invading his thoughts all day, knowing you were thinking of him as much as he was thinking of you.
You even chased him around, asking him why he was avoiding you and even asking: "What? You think you're too good for me now?"
Until he came.
To which he responded with: "I don't think I am. I know I am. And I always have been."
You then started to distance yourself from him. Though he assumed you just wanted him to chase you, and he would, but not now. After all, no God or human sought to court you so Loki wasn't really worried.
Buddha's betrayal was a shock to many, but overall, a huge win for humanity. Loki wished he had killed Buddha when he had the chance, not just because this means the God's chances of winning were jeopardized but because he had noticed that you and him seemed to be getting along. He told himself that it didn't bother him, not in the slightest yet he could not stop looking your way when he heard you laugh with Buddha and how something about you seemed different with him. Only him. You were only that way with Buddha.
You weren't like that with Loki.
You also seemed a bit more...relaxed? Calm? Almost as if hanging around the Buddha gave you a sense of peace, not even just when he was talking to you but when you were around him with general. Hell, you'd even sneak glances at him when you knew the God wasn't looking. Your eyes no longer cocky or hardened, but softened and tender. You were looking at him with an emotion that Loki couldn't describe but he knew you had never looked at him in that way when he talked with you.
He wasn't able to tell exactly what it was until the one day he decided to sneak into the area where your kind's miserable little champions resided. He had gone to look for you and while he did find you, he did not like what he found at all in the slightest.
You were breathing heavily, using your weapon to help your balance as you knelt down on one knee. You were tired out but you had a smile on your face as you stared at the God before you, his eyes staring down at you through his rose colored shades and a victorious expression on his face, but it wasn't one of arrogance or possession, but one of love. An expression that conveyed pride in not just the result of the fight but the way you fought him as well, as if he was silently praising you for it.
"So, I guess this means we'll be together. If you like the results of this battle, of course." He hums, holding out his hand to help you up. You take it with a serene smile.
Not a cocky smirk. Not a teasing grin. A smile. A genuine smile.
"What's not to like?" You respond, allowing the taller God to pull you into his chest and laughing when he brings a kiss to your forehead.
No...
No!
NO!
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO-
YOU WERE LOKI'S TO CLAIM. YES, HE MAY HAVE MADE YOU THINK OTHERWISE, BUT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HIM. NOT BUDDHA, NOT ANY OTHER MAN, WOMAN, OR GOD- H I M.
But it wasn't him. Loki realizes that when he hears a small crack and looks at the potion he forced Aphrodite to make him, and he sees his pink reflection looking back at him. His expression was bitter at the recall of events that cost him to lose you. It was not him that challenged you to a fight first, it was not him that got to beat you, and it was not him that got to have you in his arms. Then he hears his door knock and he smiles, twisted and obsessive, as he hears your voice from the otherside.
Hiding the love potion and steadying your chalice to make sure nothing looked too out of the ordinary, he went to the door when he confirmed that this would go smoothly.
So what if he didn't fight you and win like you wanted too? He wanted you and he will have you. That is all that mattered to him.
He invites you in with a warm smile, you're hesitant to enter his room and tell him you wish for him too keep his apology short because you had somewhere to be- with someone waiting on you, he reminds himself indignantly- and he assures you all he wished was to make amends and have a toast. After all, he considered you a friend (which was funny because he failed to treat you like one) and was happy for you finally discovering that your love was not a man, but a God. You declined the drink at first, which worried him at first, but with his powers of persuasion-which is really just another way of saying he annoyed you into having one sip-you brought the cup to your lips.
His eyes watched you like a hawk as you drank the liquid and when you had finished with your small sip, you smacked your lips, not having ever tasted anything like it before. Loki wasn't sure when the potion was to take effect but he panicked when two minutes had gone by and you awkwardly excuses yourself to leave.
"Aw, c'mon! Just stay a little longer!" He urged, using his typical childish voice. You respond coldly, "Loki, I no longer have time for your games, I must...-"
Then you stopped in the middle of your sentence suddenly, your once stiff posture relaxing and you shook your head as if shaking off a bad hit to the noggin. Loki could not fight the hopeful smirk that tugged at the corner of his lips.
"(Y/n)? Didn't you have anywhere to be?" He asked, testing the waters.
You turn around, a dreamish look in your eyes. It may not be the same look that you gave Buddha, a poor copy of it, but it was directed and focused at Loki which was all he cared about.
"Why would I want to be anywhere else when I could be with you?" You sigh, running to him and grabbing both sides of his face to bring your lips to his.
He smiles into the kiss as his arms around your waist and deepens it. Perhaps if he had let down his pride for once, you would be kissing him out of your own volition, but he wasn't exactly upset as he thought he'd be.
It's a good thing he was more selfish than emotional, otherwise he might have felt guilty instead and that certainly would've ruined the moment as you pull away from the kiss and look at him again, his image reflecting in your eyes like those of a doll's glass eyes.
Loki Meets Peter
Tumblr media
I hate how long I've been gone from writing and posting, but to explain would be a story in itself. Long short, life sucks, desire for enjoyments was gone, and I'm refinding myself and my writing. I look forward to writing more here and there until I have more time again. It's shorter than I prefer to write, but I had an hour only to spare.
This story is based from a meme I saw on TikTok that I can't seem to find again, but wrote from what I remembered with my own flare to it. Divider courtesy of @firefly-graphics. Make sure to check them out!
Tumblr media
Pairing: Loki x f!reader
Summary: Loki comes back to the compound only to meet Spiderman. Basically, Peter being Peter and Loki's reaction to it.
Warnings: none, kinda fluffy cute
Word Count: 706
Tumblr media
You were so happy to have Loki home, you could barely peel yourself from his side after the Bifrost had vanished.  He'd been gone off world with Thor for over a month dealing with a conflict that was facing Asgard.  Part of his release from life in the dungeons had been contingent on using his abilities for good, which for Odin had meant responding when summoned to fight for Asgard instead of its destruction.
A deal you weren't enthusiastic about, but that was a battle for another day.
Right now, you were enjoying just being able to hold his hand as you both walked into the compound.  You knew he'd been healed already before returning home, but you could see the strain in his body language that you'd learned to read.  His shoulders were more tense and tight, spine straighter than normal to hide the fatigue, his face a bit stonier than it normally would be with you around.  You had a relaxing day planned for the two of you, everyone already knowing not to bother you so you could both spend time together after such a time away from one another.
You were halfway down the hall that led to your suite when a door closer to you opened and a small form came out of the room.  Seeing who it was, you feared this could go badly with how tense your God of Mischief was.  It wasn't uncommon for him to snap at someone when he'd come back from Asgard, which was why no one had a problem with you helping him get back into a more amiable mood.
Before you could say anything against it, the boy a few inches taller than you raced over and had his hand stuck towards your man.  "You must be Mr. Loki!  Hi, I'm Peter, Peter Parker.  It's so nice to finally meet you, she's told me so much about you."  Peter's eyes quickly indicated you before staring excitedly at the god before him.  You'd already told Loki about the newest Avenger on your way inside the building so that if they came across each other, it wouldn't be a surprise.  Still, you'd hoped not to have this meeting until tomorrow.
Letting go of your hand after a moment of hesitation, Loki finally shook Peter's hand.  "You must be the one called Spiderman.  I am Loki, of Asgard."
Peter, in his ever inquisitive nature, immediately asked, "I know you're an Avenger too, but, aren't you like... a bad guy?"
Loki, ever the smart mouthed silver-tongued Prince, didn't hesitate to respond, "It varies from moment to moment."
You gave Loki an admonishing look that you knew he saw.  You could see the faint tug of his lips, knowing he wanted to smirk at your response.  "So," Peter dragged out before continuing, "How much do I need to worry?  Like, on a scale of one to ten, one being flicking someone's ear and ten being something horrible like killing puppies and kittens, where are you at right now?"
Loki blinked and you barely held back the giggle that wanted to let loose.  You watched his posture relax ever so slightly and his voice came out with less of its formal tone.  "I would say it is currently about a three."
The boy in front of you both smiled before nodding.  "Cool, could you let me know if it ever gets above a six?"  Looking down at the alert on his watch, Peter looked back up with a more urgent expression.  "I have to go, Happy is waiting to take me over to see Aunt May.  It was nice to meet you!"  With that, the boy rushed away as fast as he could without all out running.
After a moment of staring at Peter as he departed, Loki turned to look at you, amusement shining in his eyes.  "I like the boy of arachnids.  He amuses me greatly."
A wide smile broke out across your face as you tugged him back down the hall again, ready to spoil him.  "I'm glad to hear it, he's a precious bean for sure.  Now let's get to our room, I have everything ready for a bath and a new book of poetry is beside the bed ready for cuddles and reading."
Stray: Part 7
Stray: Part 7
His human came home that evening slightly late, but absolutely elated. Loki felt his heart swell to nearly bursting when he saw your smile. You breezed in and immediately lifted him and kissed him on the nose, then snuggled him close and kissed his velvety head.
“Oh, Loki. I've had such an amazing day!” you said flitting around, putting groceries away and kicking off your heels, nearly dancing with joy. “Mr. Mullen called me to his office and he's giving me a chance! He even apologized for being such an ass before.”
Good, Loki thought with a devious smirk. I guess he does value being in one piece.
He watched as you stroked the lovely purple cardigan then reluctantly took it off, placed it on a hanger, and smoothed out the delicate fabric with care.
Sweet mortal! Loki thought, You needn't be so careful with it. It's not some great treasure...just a token. I would get you hundreds of them, one for every day of the year, in every color. I would see that you never feel cold again.
But then he remembered the kind of creature you are, grateful for everything, expecting nothing, treating every good thing, person, and gift as something precious. He watched as you took a professional outfit out of a Mullen's Department Store bag and laid it out on the sofa. The crisp new fabric of the pencil skirt was a sharp contrast to the threadbare upholstery.
“Well Loki, what do you think? I've never had to buy office clothes before. I'm not sure about it but Tammy helped me pick it out.”
“Meow”. I approve! Very classy...but you'd look so much lovelier in an Asgardian court gown with a crown upon your head. That would be more befitting your beauty.
His human chuckled, and seemed to only understand his affirmation. “Thank you. I'm so glad you like it. I have a feeling you have great taste,” you said as you massaged between his ears until he purred with satisfaction. Sitting, you gathered him more closely into your arms, meeting his lovely, rare eyes and said, “You know...ever since I found you, everything has gotten better. I mean...not just the good luck of a promotion and meeting Henry. Just...you make every day better. I was so alone before. Thank you, little kitten. You're so important to me.”
You stroked his back and all he could do was purr as he floated on your praise. He had never felt such sheer pleasure from bringing joy to another being. Loki had also rarely ever been praised for anything either...mostly told to shut up or stop. He was ecstatic, bursting at the seams. He longed to reveal himself to you and finally ask you to spend your lives together on a grand adventure, but how could he? How would you believe him? How would you take it?
Come on, Loki ,he encouraged himself, you're the god of mischief. Scheming is what you do. Do it for a glorious purpose this time.
Patience was never his favorite thing, but he was determined to try it for his sweet human. The younger prince of Asgard felt an unusual pang of anxiety. Loki rarely faced anything in his long life that presented a true challenge or obstacle; but here it was before him. You were worth it, he decided. For you, and only you, he would find a way.
----
That weekend you didn't receive a call from Henry. You did, however receive a letter in your mailbox in that same lovely handwriting on green and gold paper.
Darling,
I know there is Fall Carnival is this weekend at that lovely orchard outside of town, and I have never attended such an event before. Would you be my date for the day? Meet me in front of your building at 3 pm on Saturday and we'll have a splendid day together.
Sincerely,
Henry
Reading the note, you couldn't help smiling so wide your cheeks hurt. What an odd man! Sending courtly letters instead of calling like a normal person. It was incredibly charming, though; idiosyncratic in a way that inclined you to trust him. You guessed he wasn't so perfectly confident after all, if phone calls scared him. You couldn't blame him though. They scared you too.
So on Saturday, just before 3 pm, you kissed the little cat goodbye, then swung out the door in the one nice pair of jeans you owned and a sturdy raincoat, excitement and anticipation crackling through your bloodstream.
----
Loki's irrepressible Cheshire cat grin unfurled across his face as he turned to see you hurrying toward your front door. You couldn't believe how handsome 'Henry' he looked; like an English country gentlemen, with his perfectly coordinated leather boots and coat. Evaluating your own ratty hiking boots and dated parka you felt like slinking away in embarrassment, but it was far too late for that.
Still, he kissed your hand like a princess and said, “Darling! Thank you for joining me today. You look absolutely lovely!”
“Henry...I look like I'm going hiking...and possibly like I'm living in a tent. I feel terribly under-dressed next to you.”
He looked genuinely concerned for a moment. “Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel self-conscious. I'm sure we'll be equally muddy by the end of the day, in any case,” he paused, looking deeply into your eyes, “and I'm sure you look lovely in anything at all.”
“You, sir, are dangerously charming,” you quipped, scrunching your nose in that adorable way you often did. You couldn't know how the little habit always made him fall to pieces.
---
At the orchard the carnival rides were in full frenzied swing. The hundreds of multi-color bulbs painted swaths of pulsing color around the makeshift amusement park and further into the fields beyond. The rusty omnipresent hue of old machinery blended into the natural coppery-colored remainders of autumn foliage. You walked through the crowd, each holding cups of warm cider and talking between languid steps and steamy sips.
“You know, in all the years I've lived here,” you said, “I've never come to this carnival. Thank you for giving me a nudge to do it.”
“My absolute pleasure,” he assured you. “I've never been here either.”
You just observed his lovely patrician face for a moment until he finally noticed and said, “What is it?”
You grinned and stopped in your tracks, “Uh...nothing...it's nothing...just. You seem like some kind of incredibly fairytale prince...the way you talk, and your fine clothes and gifts and...and leaving letters instead of calling. How did you know my address, by the way?”
“Ah...well...Janet helped me out with that one. She said it was very romantic and was happy to be in on it,” he said with a shy grin.
You chuckled knowingly, “Well it is, and you are incredibly disarming, but you already know that. And she's still so young. Her whole world revolves around romance. Life hasn't taken that from her yet. I hope it doesn't.”
You both continued walking but he tilted his head to observe you. Some unspoken sadness flickered across your face; some history of aching rejection he had yet to discern. It was a scar, and he wanted to kiss it.
“What? Don't you think romance makes life worth living?”
You scoffed at him, assuming he was being sarcastic, but his eyes were completely innocent and sincere. “Well...I don't know. I never counted on it or looked for it. There were always more practical concerns. I figured if I told myself I didn't want or need it, it wouldn't hurt so much to never have it.” You shrugged. “It just always seemed like something meant for other people, not me. So I looked for joy and meaning in everything else,” you said looking around thoughtfully, “...in kindness, in the things I get excited about learning, in the small beautiful parts of life. Even on the bad days I try not to take anything for granted.”
“Wow,” he said, “are you some kind of saint?”
You raised and eyebrow at him and said, “I assure you. I'm far from it.” And I'd like to show you personally how far from it I could be, you thought and then pushed it away just as quickly.
“I have sad and weak and angry days. I have days where I want to scream and jump out of my fucking window. I often feel alone and...different. I wonder what's wrong with me that I don't let anyone get too close.”
He considered this. “ You are different, and it's wonderful.” He realize he was staring. It was making you uncomfortable, so he changed tact slightly, reorganizing his thoughts. “Well, it's no great mystery, right? You've dealt with being hurt and disregarded by the people who were supposed to love you. That's a deep wound, and now your impulse is to survive...but maybe...just maybe, you could thrive while you're at it?”
You gave him a cautious grin, “That's a lovely thought...here's to hoping. I haven't felt hope for awhile, but it's making an appearance lately,” you said, toasting his your little paper cup with his and downing the last sips of your hot cider. When you both drained your cups, you were surprised to see Henry suddenly crumple his cup, throw it to the ground, and shout “Another!”. He quickly realized from the startled faces around him that his Asgardian gesture of appreciation must not be a universal one. “Oh,” he said with a chuckle, picking up the little cup; throwing it and yours into the garbage can. “I'm terribly sorry! Force of habit...it's a Scandinavian thing.”
You giggled a musical irrepressible laugh, and he felt himself go weak under its spell. He wanted to hear you laugh like that as often as possible. You pointed a finger against his firm chest stepped slightly closer, so the icy clouds of your breath mingled in the crisp air, “You are a delightfully odd man, Henry. I like you. I...I really like you,” you said, making eye contact. He met your gaze so intensely that you forgot to breathe. His hand curled around yours resting it against the soft leather of his coat. “I like you too, darling. So...so much. I know it's cliché and makes me sound utterly insane but I feel so comfortable with you...like I was meant to know you my whole life.”
You were stunned for a moment; partially because you felt entirely the same way, and partially because that did sound utterly insane. While your mind struggled to wrap around what he had just said, he massaged your hand gently and exclaimed, “My god! Darling, you're absolutely frozen. I should get you some gloves next time.” He untied his large wine-red scarf from his own neck and wrapped it around yours, then bundled your hands carefully in the draping ends.
Loki longed to kiss you in that moment. He wanted to kiss you so badly it ached within him every moment he didn't, but he found he couldn't, which puzzled him. He had never had any hesitation with kissing anyone before. Loki had never known the experience of nervousness or self-consciousness in romance...until now.
Why! He shouted within his mind You idiot, why aren't you kissing her right now?
Then a smaller voice within his mind piped up; an uncertain voice of his younger more insecure self, Because, what if I don't deserve her?
You were disappointed. He could see it clearly in your eyes. You wanted it just as much as he did, and the liminal silent tension was wearing on your both.
You couldn't bring yourself to initiate a kiss he might not want, so instead you wrapped your arms around his lanky waist and snuggled into his chest affectionately, whispering a simple “thank you”. Loki paused for a moment, stunned by the gesture, amazed to have you in his arms. Suddenly he gripped you very tightly, as if afraid you might drift away like a perfect dream upon waking. He felt a tear roll down his cheek in the icy air, first warm and then cool against his skin as he enjoyed the weight of you against him, close to him.
Oneshot Masterlist - Main Masterlist
POV: Second
Ship: Loki x Gender-Neutral Reader
Type: Fluff, Some angst (With a happy ending)
Wordcount: 1,378
TW: None
Synopsis: The story of how you and Loki met, followed by the present, where you find yourself battling your feelings for the god of mischief.
A/N: Thank you so much for the idea! I hope you like how I interpreted it, I tried my best! Also, this doesn't really use any gender-specific pronouns, so it's fine to be read as gender neutral :) For the fics where I can without disturbing the fic, I will be going back and hopefully editing some of the pronouns to be more general (some of them I'd like to keep feminine though. All my GN fics will be tagged as GN to prevent any dysphoria. I love all of you guys!)
~~~~~
It all started on your first day of school, when you were fairly young. Your parents were high-ranking nobles, so you had been enrolled in one of the high-ranking schools along with the other kids of prominent families, including the two princes of Asgard.
The classes were fairly easy, and soon enough the teacher dismissed class for a break to eat, leading the children outside. Most of the kids already had friends, and so they ran to sit with them.
You looked for a place to sit, eyes falling to a boy sitting alone underneath a tree, reading. You made your way over to him, happy to find a spot that wasn't so overcrowded, not to mention the comforting shade of the tree.
The boy swiftly glanced up from his book to meet your gaze as you sat down next to him. When he didn't say anything, you decided to talk first. "Hi, I'm Y/n. What's your name?"
The boy hesitated for a moment before answering. "Loki." You raised your eyebrows, surprised. "As in Prince Loki?" You asked, and he nodded with a sheepish smile.
You smiled as you opened your small satchel your mother had packed, pulling out some food. "Do you have anything to eat?" You asked him, noticing that he didn't have a bag or food.
"No. I forgot to grab it." He admitted, and you tore your sandwich in half, handing half of it over to him. "Here." You offered, and he shook his head. "It's really fine-" He started, but you shoved the sandwich in his hands.
"Take it." You insisted, and he finally accepted the sandwich that you had forced on him. "Thank you." He said, and you nodded, biting into your own sandwich.
From that point forward, you two became best friends. School flew by, and before you knew it, both of you had graduated.
Since your parents were of the court, you still were around the castle a lot, so you still saw Loki.
You two were each other's everything. You helped him pull pranks on Thor, which often got the both of you in trouble. You comforted him through his dark times, particularly when he found out he was a frost giant.
When he had fallen off the bridge all those years ago, you became an emotional and physical wreck. The worst part was, you hadn't even known what exactly had happened, just that he had fallen.
Nobody had known if Loki was dead, some said he was, others said he wasn't. You had refused to believe he was dead, and came out as far as you could on the broken bridge and prayed to Valhalla he was alive. Every. Single. Night.
Eventually Heimdal had found him, and you were reunited. He explained everything to you that night he got back: how he had found out he was a frost giant, how he had realized that he was a political pawn.
He had seen himself a monster, yet you refused to let him believe that. You managed to help him put himself together again, piece by piece, hug by hug.
Now you found yourself leaning into Loki as you both sat reading, cursing yourself for the feelings you couldn't seem to shake off.
The past few months, you had developed feelings for the god of mischief. You supposed they were always there, but lately they seemed to be more prominent.
You sighed, sliding a bookmark into your book and closing it, causing Loki to look up from his own. "Everything alright dear?" He asked, and you nodded.
"Just having trouble focusing on my book right now. You know how my mind can be a bit restless sometimes." You said, and he smiled, kissing your forehead.
You blushed, even though you were used to the platonic gestures you would give each other. However, with your feelings quickly growing out of the friendzone, they seemed to have more of an effect on you.
It was funny, the physical communication between you and Loki. Before befriending him, you weren't fond of physical contact. But with Loki, it felt right. It felt like home.
Loki also used to hate people so much as touching him, he still did, but when it was with you he loved it. He lived for your embrace, no matter the gesture.
"How about we go look at the stars from the garden?" Loki suggested, and you smiled with a nod, letting Loki help you up off of the couch.
You and Loki walked through the walls, hand in hand, making your way to the royal garden.
The stars shone brightly in the night sky, accompanied by an iridescent moon. A gentle breeze blew through the garden, tickling your ears.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Loki breathed, looking at the sky. "Yeah, it is." You replied, reaching your finger out and tracing some of the constellations.
"How many stars do you think there are?" He asked you, looking back towards you. You shrugged, glancing at the sky. "I don't know, there's billions! It's useless to count."
He chuckled, shrugging. "I wouldn't call it useless, darling." You raised an eyebrow at him, gesturing up at the sky.
"Loki, look how many there are! Plus, what use is knowing the number of stars going to be?" You challenged, and he just smiled at you.
His smile was enough to take your breath away, but you told yourself to chill out. You weren't going to lose one of your only friends to a silly crush.
"It's also useless to count freckles, but I know you have 12 of them on your left forearm." Loki said, and your heart rate sped up as your mind processed what he had just said.
Your heart was screaming, but your brain was able to regain partial composure. You laughed it off, playfully slapping Loki. "Nice line, silvertongue."
His expression turned soft, yet serious, as he grabbed your left arm gently. "No, seriously. Count."
You turned your left forearm around, carefully counting each freckle. After you finished, you recounted, your face heating up.
There were exactly 12 freckles. No more, no less.
"Oh." You said, unsure of what to say. "Oh?" Loki raised his eyebrow, taking your hands in his.
Loki and you stood there for a minute, gazing into eachothers' eyes, until Loki finally broke the silence.
"I love you."
"What?" You said, nervously darting your eyes away. You figured he was just saying it platonically. You'd said it before, hadn't you? But it was different now.
"Uh- I love you too Loki. You know that." You recovered, trying to hide the bubble of emotions inside of you.
"No. Not like that." He said, shaking his head. "No?" You asked, rubbing your neck subconsciously.
"No. This is different, Y/n. I love you. I love you in ways that go beyond our friendship. You bring me more joy than the stars ever could." He confessed, and your eyes began to water. "I'm sorry if this ruins our friendship, but I can't hide it anymore Y/n. I love you."
You stood there, demobilized in shock. Loki shook his head. "I should go..." He mumbled, but you finally regained movement and grabbed his wrist. "I love you too."
His eyes met yours once more, widening. "Really?" He asked, making sure he had heard you right.
You nodded, reaching up on your tippy toes and quickly placing a kiss on his lips. You had kissed him on the forehead and cheek before, but this was different, yet it still felt so right.
Loki blushed, and you relished in the fact that you had the ability to make a prince, not to mention a god, blush.
"Well then..." You trailed off, tucking your hair behind your ear. Loki's eyes lit up, indicating he had thought of an idea. "How about I go grab us some blankets and we sleep in the observatory tonight, that way we can fall asleep under the stars?"
You grinned, nodding at the idea. "That sounds great. Meet you there?" He nodded, and with another quick kiss on the lips, he ran off to get the blankets, and you walked down the hallway, thinking of how lucky you were to love, and be loved, by Loki.

I hope you enjoyed! Tell me: can you find the small Easter egg I hid in here?

Hey!! I have a request for you!
So I'm thinking you work at shield and have to show Loki and Thor around since they are new. You always crack terrible jokes when you are nervous but Thor finds you hilarious and even Loki admits some of them are fairly clever (high praise coming from him). You realize they've never heard most of the recycled jokes or puns you used and decide to take advantage of that.
Tower Tour for Two
Pairing: None
Warning: Puns, word play, wit, shenanigans, dad jokes, and all around foolery
Summary:
All new personnel to SHIELD need to know where to go from day one. The best way to do that is through a tour. The Asgardian princes were no exception. With no crisis in need of their participation, the two are set up with a guide that keeps them on their toes.
Author Note:
I am so sorry for the delay in answering this request! I wanted it to be absolutely perfect! Furthermore, I do hope you like this, and it lives up to what you were expecting from the shenanigans between a punderful Y/N and the two austere princes of Asgard! Also, I completely made up the floors and numbers based off an image @vbecker10 showed me.
__________________________________________________________
“Tell me again why we are being subjected to this ridiculous obligation of needing some nanny around the compound?” Loki let out an exasperated sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose. None of this seemed to quite add up to him. Thor has been part of this team for some time now, and they had never thought of something so trivial. However, when they decide to accept me this is suddenly something mandatory? I find that highly suspicious.
“It is because they wish to give us a proper introduction. With all the emergencies that happened and my frequent leaving to Asgard, there was no real time for this to come about. With you being newly accepted, they thought it wise that the two of us go through it together. Better than having to waste time setting up two separate sessions.” Thor chuckled at his fifth repetition. He knew his brother was not forgetful, he was simply trying to find a loophole out of this. “It is a simple tour, Loki. It will be done sooner than you’re making it out to be. It is not like they are giving the grand tour of the Asgardian castle.”
“If this place were remotely as big, I would have done everything in my power to make sure this never came to pass.” Loki scowled. “It is not the size of the facility that concerns me, it is the ridiculous notion that they think we are incapable of learning where to go.”
“Ah, but they are taking efficiency into consideration. The time it takes for us to learn our way around will be drastically cut if we are given this tour. Which will increase the overall efficiency of how SHIELD and the Avengers will run. Precious time needed for missions and planning would not be lost on someone unsure of where to find the proper meeting room or attend some training session. You, above all else, know how important it is to be efficient.” The God of Thunder smiled at his brother, clapping a firm hand against his back. “You will see, this will be highly useful. The fact that they even are allowing you to know where everything is a huge sign of their trust as well! If they did not trust you, they would not take the time to teach you where everything is.”
That or they want to make sure I know where everything is. So that if I were to ever use the reasoning of being lost, they can remind me of this dreadful waste of time and accuse me of something sinister. The God of Mischief kept his skepticism to himself, not wanting to dampen his brother’s mood. Though, he did wonder if there was something that could do such a thing. The thought of his feigned deaths suddenly came to mind, but he quickly pushed them aside.
“Well hello, hello!” A chipper voice greeted the two Asgardian princes from behind, the two towering royals turning to see a singular female SHIELD employee who was clearly far too excited to be here. The sunny disposition seemed almost illegal compared to the rigid and professional demeanor that were standard with all other SHIELD personnel. Perhaps this person was lost and was actually an experiment on happiness? Thor looked towards Loki with a raised brow, who raised both of his in response and shrugged, removing the burden of possibly knowing anything about this odd human. He was just as clueless, if not more so for actually being new, than his elder brother.
“Don’t everyone all talk at once now! Sheesh, have you never been greeted before? Talk about needing a lesson in manners.” She frowned.
“Pardon our rudeness, but are we acquainted?” Thor took the lead after another lengthy pause.
“Ah, the lord doth speaketh!” She gasped, the corner of Loki’s lip twitching as Thor slightly lowered his head as a sign of apologies. “We weren’t formally introduced, but you were both instructed to come here for the tour of the tower with me.”
“So you are Y/N?” Loki questioned, his intense gaze carefully observing to see if this was some sort of trap or test.
“Well, last I checked it was.” She glanced down at her name tag that was hung from the lanyard around her neck, a variety of novelty pins decorating the fabric. “Yup, still is.” He scowled at her attitude. “Do not worry, I understand, I am used to rendering people speechless.” She boasted with pride.
“Is that so,” Loki felt the prick of unease at the back of his mind.
“Yes, we have heard you are quite the guide.” Thor elbowed his brother at the look of mistrust that was on his face. “Rogers and the others have had nothing but positive things to say about you. However, we have jumped ahead without proper introductions. My name,” he tried to correct their rude beginning but stopped at her raised hand.
“No need, there’s nothing Loki about either of you, aside from his name anyway. I made sure to do a Thor-ough look into whom I would be guiding this morning.” As she grinned, Loki grimaced. That feeling of unease was not to be ignored.
“Clever,” the elder prince laughed at her wordplay. “Very well, by your lead, then.”
“Thank you,” she gave a small bow before stretching her arms out wide. “Foyer information, this is the foyer. To our left, through those double doors, is where SHIELD holds most, if not all, press hearings. Sadly, there’s no let-go room. I keep telling them we need it, how else is there going to be a release? Makes you think, what good is a hearing when they aren’t even listening.” She sighed.
“So that is why they are called as such? I always wondered why. They really should invest in such things, to hold on for too long is never healthy.” Thor nodded his head in agreement, while Loki felt his left eyebrow twitch. That feeling of unease had grown. Was it too late to turn back now? He eyed the front door behind them, measuring the distance and how long it would take him if he made a run for it.
“Aside from that room, there isn’t much else aside from the desk. The decor isn’t the greatest, but the reception is phenomenal.” She pointed to the reception desk as she walked towards the elevators. “Come along, we’ve gotta head to the next floor. Don’t mind the elevators, they have their ups and downs. I think we caught them in a good mood today.”
Dammit, I should’ve sent an image of myself. Loki clicked his tongue before straightening his back and turning to join the two. Thor was wrong, this was going to be a very long day. A tour of the castle would have been shorter.  He feared for his sanity as they stepped out onto the second floor
“It’s pretty quiet right now, but it’s usually pretty busy. The second floor, here, up until the fifth floor, are all human relations. Though sometimes it can be a bit alien at times, they’re all definitely human and are pretty relatable for the most part. Though I don’t recommend them for any dating advice, they like to keep it professional.”
“As they should,” Thor once again agreed, and Loki’s eye began to twitch.
“And right you are, thunder boy!” She grinned, turning them back to the elevator as skipping straight to the sixth floor. Stepping out, this floor looked almost identical to the second one. The two looked around curiously for any differences before shifting their attention to Y/N who stepped forward and turned to face them. “So, as you can see, we’re all pretty square here with all these cubicles. Sixth floor to the tenth floor is where you’ll find the work stations of the agents and the offices for higher ranking staff. The agents are great and all, but some of these big wigs are walking economy lessons.”
“What do you mean?” The elder Asgardian asked before the younger could stop him. She was leading them in more ways than one, and he was not enjoying either direction.
“Well, you didn’t hear it from me, but their hairline is in a recession, their stomachs are always inflated like their egos, and the two together leaves everyone in a great depression.” She whispered, and Loki actually smirked. Perhaps she had some things of value to say. “I can’t really let you into anything here, private stuff and all that, so up we go!” She motioned them back to the elevators, where they went straight to the eleventh floor. “Alright, so here you might find things to be a little dull…because here until the twenty-first floor is none other than the boardrooms!”
I take back what I said, it was a rare moment of entertainment. Loki sighed as they followed her down a few halls, and she opened one of the doors.
“This is one of the larger ones, but each room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Holograms, interactive models, surround sound, and HD screenings! Sadly, the seating isn’t the best and only reclines so much. But other than that, you’ve got one fancy theater experience every time.” She grinned, Thor taking a seat in one of the chairs.
“They are quite nice though. But why are the tables bolted down?”
“So they can be well grounded.” She answered far too quickly, and Loki shook his head. “In all seriousness, it’s to avoid trouble. Tables are normally supposed to be movable furniture, but after the last few issues here with explosions and infighting, it was deemed safer to have them bolted to avoid anyone possibly getting hit by them. The chairs do move around, but when you tuck them in under the table, the arms magnetize to the table with a force that is fairly difficult to break if the room is not unlocked properly. If you noticed, when we entered I lingered at the entryway, that’s because I needed to let the room know it was in use, so the table would release the chairs.” She walked back towards the door and motioned for Thor to stand. He did as told, and she punched in a code where the lights shut off and the chair chairs all jerked up and a series of clicks were heard. “Now the room is set to lock when we leave.” She pushed the door open wider, Loki having noticed that she had cracked it open prior to punching in the code. “The other meeting room floors are similar to this one. The designs may be different from floor to floor in the sense that some have round tables while others have rectangular and possibly minor changes in screen size, but overall they are the same.”
“Things are quite secure here.” Loki noted aloud, curiosity about this strange SHIELD employee starting to grow in the back of his mind.
“I would hope so, they’re supposed to be the guardians of Earth. They’d be nothing but insecurities otherwise.”
“Well said, Y/N. You are quick-witted with your words, just like Hawkeye and Black Widow mentioned.” Thor praised her.
“Don’t encourage her,” Loki hissed at him as they got back onto the elevator. It was obvious he was clearly taken by her little tricks.
“Come now, brother, there is nothing wrong with giving due praise to a job well done. Perhaps if you were more forthcoming with your compliments as you are with your snide remarks, you would not be seen as such a cruel person, and they would finally see the brother I adore.” He implored, earning yet another scoffing eye roll. Y/N watched the two silently, pressing the button for the twenty-second floor. It was painfully obvious that Thor adored Loki openly, while Loki was more reticent in his affections.
The tale of the two mythological deities was known far and wide since their first arrival, and even more so since the infamous incident in New York. Much like the majority of Earthlings, she initially hated the younger prince for all the harm he had caused. The damage, despair, and devastation he wrought on them was nothing small and unforgivable. She never wanted to be left so powerless ever again, incapable of helping anyone. Thus, she embarked on climbing her way and successfully joining SHIELD. She was not able to work on the field as an agent, but she managed to secure a rather unique position where only a few were capable of managing. It was through this training and top level clearance that she became aware of many things, like the Mind Stone and how it perverted and polluted Loki’s insecurities and anguish. None of it justified his actions, but he became someone understandable. They were less out of reach, more relatable. They two were living and breathing with emotions like anyone else, not something above them.
I know they’re stronger than the average human, but theyre brothers like any other. Bickering siblings with opposite dispositions that adore one another. She smiled to herself as she stepped out before them. “Alright. From here up to the thirtieth floor is where the fun starts. You could say Stark was raving mad when he funded so much of the things here, but he’s lab hatter. All the tech and research goes on here. It’s a little sad that physicists and biologists don’t get along so well.” She let out a heavy sigh, Thor and Loki around before settling their eyes on here.
“And why is that? Trouble in paradise?” The second prince raised a well manicured brow. Y/N could only imagine the two were into grooming routines, and they were professionally done, otherwise it was cruel to every average woman out there just how perfect these two were.
“You could say that they lack chemistry.” She smirked at the slight scowl she earned from him. He had made such a big deal about feeding into her little games and walked right into one himself. He could see the shine of victory in her eyes, and he had to admit, it was well played. Not only that, but he would never admit to it aloud, of course.
“And what would be the importance of chemistry?” Thor wondered, not sure how that played between the two types of scientists.
“Well, it has all the solutions, and It is fairly good at bonding.” She added matter-of-factory, Thor nodding his head in agreement. “Yes, Jane and Dr. Erik did have trouble relating with others from time to time, perhaps chemistry was lacking.”
“No comet on astrophysicists,” she snickered as they walked through the halls and peered in through the windows. “All the glass here is highly reinforced,” she lightly knocked on one as they stopped at a random door. “I can’t let you in due to the nature of what’s inside and any experiments that may currently be in progress, but you can take a swing at the glass to test it out. Stark has made sure to improve after learning from any prior mistakes to minimize casualties. It’s Avenger and danger proof.”
“If Stark is involved, then there is no doubt that he has extensively worked on it for it to be so.” Thor proudly spoke of his companion, Loki curiously observing the window. He stepped closer, tapping on the glass and listening to the vibrations. It was a rather dull sound. It was a very dense and thick sheet.
The metal midgardian certainly enjoys his little trinkets and toys. I could simply use my magic to conjure myself into the room, however. What good is this resilience, then? He smirked, feeling that he may have bested the genius playboy philanthropist.
“You could try,” Y/N’s voice broke through his thoughts. “But that’s at your own risk. Like the other rooms here, you need to engage the room prior to entering, and these rooms are only allowed entry through specific key cards. If anyone were to find a way without this channel, they would have to deal with the security that would automatically be triggered. So, unless you have dreams of being Swiss cheese, I would disa-brie on any attempts of just appearing inside. Come along, up we go!” She turned on her heel and led them back up to their rectangular chariot. “Any questions so far? Comments, concerns, suggestions are all welcomed.”
“Nothing,” Thor shook his head.  “You are going excellently and answer any of the questions before we even have time to even think of them. I can see why they praise you so highly among the other members.” He gave her a broad grin, and she smiled in kind.
“Well, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. This ain’t the most exciting thing you could be doing, believe me, I get it. So, I try to keep it short, sweet, and fun.”
“Fun for whom?” Loki muttered.
“Myself, I’m the one guiding you after all. Gotta help myself get through this just as much as you do.” She gave him a wink and laughed as he scowled. It was obvious they were both enjoying this for various reasons, so she chose not to tell him, she could tell this scowl was more forced than the others so far.
“Now, here are the floors that are worth the weight, the next five floors are about two floors each in height, they’re the gyms and rec rooms. From battle simulations in the VR to real word pumping iron, there is no bar too high in this place…well for you anyway.” She looked up at Thor and Loki. “For me, there are quite a few out of my reach. I won’t go into too much detail here, you’ll be scheduled for a fitness and analysis exam, so they’ll run you through the various simulations and fancy gizmos and gadgets then.” There was obvious excitement and interest in both the brothers' eyes, and she could not help the small snicker that came out as she led them up to the thirty-sixth floor. “We’ll keep it short here, mission briefs and observations happen on deck here. And you can look out the windows and observe a lovely view of the compound and city as well while you’re at it. This is one very wide floor.” She explained as they went to the far end where there was a lovely view of the city before heading up to the next floor.
“This is the not so common choice of a common area. Usually these types of floors are near the ground floor if not the ground floor itself. But, what’s common about superheroes and aliens as a whole?” She shrugged. “Here is where you’ll be able to relax between missions and training or simply don’t want to be in your room. The best part of this floor is actually over here.’ She grinned, a little speed in her steps as she led them to two rather ornate double doors. “This is a place you can always check out,” she slid her key through the reader and turned the knobs. Pushing the two doors open with great flourish to reveal a very grand library with a glass dome like ceiling, stairs leading to the four floors above and one below. “This is a place where I can't help my shelf and spend hours. But personal interest aside, you can bring beverages into the library, you just can't pour milk over the serials here. They’ve got all sorts of books here now that we know some myths are not so fictitious.” She pointedly looked at the two of them. “I know it’s pretty booked, but you can always leaf through as needed.
“And why would they have such a place at SHIELD?” Loki asked, taking a step forward, followed by another, and several more until he was in front of a shelf and pulling one of the leather-bound pages from it.
“Knowledge is key, and sometimes the old-fashioned way is the best way or only way. Like I said, things of lore are no more and not everything is metadata. Also, this is part of the floors where one can simply step out of the digital world and unwind. Can you imagine what the public would do if one of the eligible bachelors or bachelorettes of the Avengers was seen in the public library? We’d have mobs of paparazzi and feral fans trying to get their chance to be seen with them. There’d be no peace and quiet. Having our own mini library was the best solution. It does not have everything, but it helps minimize the need to go out and be seen frequenting a location. Villains and mosey people alike won’t set their sights on a place where the public is free to come and go.”
Thor walked over to his brother, pulling out another book and quickly skimmed through it. He was not as avid of a reader as his brother, but he knew and respected the importance of knowledge. This place would be very useful to the two who were not as technologically savvy as the Midgardians. Y/N watched as Loki slowly read the first few pages of the book he chose, while Thor skimmed through several books. He did linger on a few, looking at the title twice before returning it to its spot.
“Reading time will have to be another time. Once you get your key card, you have free access to the books here, and you can check them out with the librarians as needed. Come along, only a few more floors to go.” She promised, Thor grabbed Loki by the back of his jacket and forcibly dragged him a few steps before he replaced the book and reluctantly followed them out back to the elevators.
The brothers watched as she slid her card into a slot next to two rows of buttons and selected the number eight button in the second row of the two rows labeled as LQ. “This is where only certain personnel can enter. You both, other avengers, and some agents will be living here on the compound. As you can see, there are not that many floors, but each floor is similar to the gym and rec room floors in that each floor is two floors in height from eight to fourteen. The reason being is that eight upwards is where you and any other members of the Avengers will have a penthouse style apartment. Each is designed and decorated according to the specifications or desires of the occupant. No two rooms are going to be alike in details, but the basic blueprint will be the same for safety exits and code regulations. Floors one to four is where the agents that live here, guests, important visitors, and some time overtime employees will be residing. Floors five to seven is where their dining and entertainment will be. There is a mini theater, a large dining room kitchen with staff, and a mini library for them to spend their time. Their key cards will not allow them into your floor, but you will be allowed on their floors if you so wish. “
The doors of the elevator opened up to reveal a rather large hallway with only a few doors on either side. Floors eight to twelve will resemble this. As you can see, none of the doors look the same and have been customized to the comfort of the resident who stays in that space while here. The two of you will have your own apartments on the twelfth floor. On the thirteenth and fourteenth floor you will find similar amenities; a large state-of-the-art kitchen, fully staffed on request; a large dining area, personal theater, recreational activities such a bowling alley, billiards, and a private bar that has its own balcony facing the city. The last floor, the HQ floor, is where the leaders of SHIELD convene for their meetings and have their offices. I cannot allow you entry on that floor, so I will be leading you back down to the ground floor from here. And that is there is to say about this tower. Though we do have everything indoors, there are still many outside facilities on the grounds for certain activities. For example, large scale training or ability practice will take place in one of the various hangars and fields that are readily equipped and shielded from causing too much disruption in the building. Sometimes you may be flown out to more discrete locations to avoid unwanted attention as well.”
“They really have thought of everything.” Loki finally admitted to being somewhat impressed, mostly for the library. He and Thor silently mulled over all the information that was given to them. It was certainly a lot, and it became clear as to why they were put through the task. It was needed information, but also a warning that they would always be watched. Not just them as outsiders, but the Avengers as a whole were to be watched because they were a collective of beings that could single-handedly cause more trouble than any large scale militant group.
“Yes, they have, and that’s it for this personal tour. I do hope you enjoy your stay here at SHIELD. I wish you the best of luck always and success in your missions moving forward. Thank you for your time, enjoy the rest of your day.” She led them to the front doors and stepped out into the crisp air, the sun still in the sky. There was one fact that had consistently nagged at the back of their minds. A question they intended to ask, and yet never thought or had the chance to. Loki looked to Thor, who silently nodded his head.
“Y/N, what exactly is your position here at SHIELD?” She had access to every floor, detailed information, and knew where to say what and when. Only someone of high level clearance and trust would be privy to such, and she purposefully and expertly avoided the topic with thought-provoking information and clever words of misdirection. However, now was their chance. The two turned to face her. They would get their answers, but she was no longer there. In fact, there was no sign of her anywhere. Who exactly was Y/N.  It was clear now, this was only the beginning for the two of them at the mysterious organization known as SHIELD.

12. The Three Musketeers.
Nea and I are only two of the members of the Loki Defence Force, our internet group dedicated to Loki. We made another friend there, Kitty.
Tumblr media
This is Kitty. She is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met, and wickedly funny to boot. And she has far more common sense than myself and Nea combined.
It is about time we fill her in, so I call a club meeting.
Tumblr media
I greet Kitty with a kiss on her cheek, it's been a while since we last met!
I've told Loki to stay out of sight for now. It's better if Nea and I explain everything first.
Tumblr media
"Wait! You performed a seance without having any idea what you are doing? And you thought that was a good idea?"
"it was Marianna's idea, "Nea says quickly. "And her crystal ball! I was just there really."
I glare at her, I distinctly remember it being Nea's idea.
"It doesn't matter whose idea it was," Kitty interrupts quickly before Nea and I start arguing. "Please tell me nothing happened?"
"yeah, about that..." Nea shrugs apologetically.
Tumblr media
("It was Marianna's idea, I'm sure of it!" thinks Nea)
Tumblr media
I quickly explain to Kitty we managed to summon the god of Mischief's ghost.
"You mean you summoned Loki himself?" Kitty asks. "I can't believe that worked!"
I grimace. "Yes, and now we are kind of stuck with him. And he's convinced we can find a way to bring him back to life!"
Tumblr media
"Mayhap it is better if I explain myself," Loki interrupts as he sits down. "Hello, Kitty."
Kitty nearly jumps out of her skin as Loki materialises.
"With Niflheim in chaos and Valhalla closed to me, I have nowhere to move onto. Perhaps this means I still have an opportunity to come back instead. As a matter of fact, I am certain it is possible, if not extremely difficult.
But if it were easy everyone would do it!"
Tumblr media
"Our biggest problem is that we don't even know where to start," I explain. "The tomes in my house contain a lot of useful magic knowledge, but nothing about returning a ghost back to life."
Tumblr media
"Have you thought about contacting Thor?" Kitty asks. "He is your brother after all. And he must be missing you terribly. You are the only family he has left."
"Adopted! And, absolutely not!" Loki snaps. "Whatever was between us, it soured a long time ago. His last words to me were, and I quote: 'You really are the worst brother!' No, our paths diverged a long time ago, Thor made that quite clear."
Tumblr media
"According to the internet Thor left with the Guardians of the Galaxy anyway," Nea says as she looks it up on her phone.
"How about Doctor Strange then? He is a powerful Sorcerer!"
Tumblr media
"Are you mad? That two-bit, second-rate, good-for-nothing, full-of-himself, arrogant..." We wait patiently for Loki to finish his stream of insults.
"So not Doctor Strange then," I say dryly.
"It is not like we have any way of contacting them even if we wanted to anyway," Kitty reminds us.
Tumblr media
We are all at a loss.
"There is one person who might be able to help..." Kitty muses suddenly. "If he is real that is. It could just be a legend."
Tumblr media
"Well, anything is better than this! Surely it is worth trying!" Loki exclaims.
"My parents used to take us camping to this place in the woods, called Granite Falls. It was rumoured that a hermit lived there who knows more than anyone alive or dead. If you find him, he will answer one question, but one only."
Tumblr media
"Brilliant! Let us go camping!" Loki declares. "I love camping!"
I eye him incredulously.
"You love going camping?"
"But of course I do! We used to go on hunting expeditions all the time, Thor, Father, myself and the other nobles! It was glorious!"
"And how many servants did you bring?" Nea asks, just as suspicious as I am. Loki's face falls. He hadn't thought of that.
Tumblr media
After a moment, he brightens up again.
"Well, there is only one of me and three of you! Surely that will be enough to suffice!"
Tumblr media
I shake my head at him. he has to stop treating us Midgardians as his servants!
Tumblr media
"Well, I for one can't wait! I've never gone camping before," Nea grins as she stands up to leave. "it will be fun!"
Kitty and I look at each other and shrug. It looks like we'll be going camping this weekend!

https://www.tumblr.com/darklinaforever/737358997307506688/i-already-did-an-entire-post-about-this-but-sylki
I mean, yes, the comparison of Sylki to Miles and Gwen totally makes sense to me.
People simply refuse to see that no Sylvie is not a simple female version of Loki.
She doesn't have the same DNA or the same personality. It's bullshit. And even if as I say they share the same identity, it is mainly from a divine point of view. The same role in the universe.
Because the simple case of being born Loki is completely called into question from the episode where Sylvie is introduced, simply because she did not keep Loki's identity. It's not for nothing that it has its own name. This is precisely to make the viewer understand that no, she is not a female version of Loki and is not supposed to be !
The purpose of a character meeting other versions of themselves always generally serves the same purpose of discovery or understanding about themselves. From a symbolic point of view, it's almost the same thing.
Anyway, I'm not going to repeat myself any further since I already say all these things in the link above.
This is all just my opinion. I would find it interesting to hear yours on the subject ?
Sylvie and Loki are not the same person, they play the same role in their own universes and its as simple as that. They don't share genetics or the same DNA in any way, shape or form, we don't even know if they've got the same parents for sure. The only connection between the two is that role they play as god/goddess of mischief. As you said the fact that she was given the name Sylvie was to help the viewers see her as her own character, to recognise that she is not the same person as Loki and she has her own individuality.
I honestly don't know why people are still arguing about this because Kate Herron, someone with creative control over the show has made it clear that they aren't the same person:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Call me old fashioned but personally if someone with creative control makes a statement like this, I take it as the truth. You can voice how much you don't like it or that you saw it a different way, but this statement is still the truth, Sylvie and Loki were not written as being the same person. The truth is some people are so insecure in their ship that they have to cling to this incorrect view that Sylki is wrong because 'they're the same person', in order to make themselves feel better. They'll do anything they can, say anything they can to invalidate Sylki. Which is fine until they start jumping on sylkis posts telling them they're wrong when they very clearly aren't as the creators themselves share the same opinion.
I often see the argument that Sylvie and Loki must be the same person and their relationship must be wrong because characters in the show have said so. But lets look at these moments. The first is in 1x4 when Mobius is interrogating Loki and realises Loki has developed romantic feelings for Sylvie. If we look at Mobius' role in this moment he is the TVA agent who is still under the brainwashing of the 'timekeepers' aka HWR and is not someone we are supposed to be rooting for in this moment. In some ways he's playing the antagonist to Loki in this moment in the sense that he represents the TVA who are the bad guys. We are supposed to see that Mobius is the one in the dark here and that his current points of view are not the correct ones. You could say there is a pre truth Mobius and a post truth Mobius. Pre truth Mobius was the one who told Loki that he is responsible for his mother's death, who said he was born to bring pain and suffering so that others could become the best versions of themselves and who said his romance with Sylvie was sick, twisted and demented. We as the audience are supposed to accept these statements as being wrong, as being a result of Mobius being brainwashed by this organisation. I mean who out here is taking the words of an indoctrinated agent of a fascist organisation at face value? Like come on.
But then we get post truth Mobius, he learns the truth about being a variant and the TVA, he sees the light so to speak. The biggest clue that you are supposed to understand that his previous comments about Loki and Sylki are wrong is that he takes them all back after he learns the truth. His view that Loki was only meant to bring suffering changes and he tells Loki he can be whoever he wants to be. His view on Sylki changes too and instead of seeing them as sick and twisted he recognises their connection as something positive, something that could be the solution and that could 'bring this whole place down.'
The second instance is when X-5 calls Sylki weird in 2x2 in the McDonalds scene and again this statement is coming from a bad guy. Like x-5/ brad is a villain in the show, who is self serving and doesn't care about anybody else, of course you aren't suppose to agree with what he says. Another important facet of both these scenes though is that they are supposed to be comedic scenes. You are quite literally not supposed to take them seriously, its just a joke, because yeah sylki are weird, we've all had a good laugh about it, but them being weird doesn't make them wrong.
Anyway pretty sure I've gone off on a tangent there, so bringing it back. No Sylvie and Loki are not the same person. No they don't share DNA or any genetics, obviously. Yes the Miles/Gwen comparison is valid in that they both play the same roles within their universe, Miles/Gwen are both spiderman/woman, Sylvie/Loki are both the god/goddess of mischief.
Not to sound harsh, but you can shout and scream about how Sylki are the same person all you like, I don't care I'm going with Herron's statement seeing as she helped create the actual show. So as far as I'm concerned this is no longer an argument or up for debate, the answer has already been given, they aren't the same person.

Back to Basics (Part 3 of 3)
(Part 1) (Part 2)
Pairing: Bucky x female reader (Bucky POV)
Warnings: none, fluff, touch of self doubt, clumsiness, being super awkward
_________________________________________
(BUCKY POV - later that night)
You open the fridge and look around for something to snack on. You had gone straight to your room when you got back but you decided to come to the kitchen once you realized you were too wired to even think about sleeping. You honestly couldn't wait until tomorrow morning, it was hard for you to remember the last time you were this excited about anything.
"I hear congratulations are in order," Loki says from behind you and your mood drastically shifts. You try not to sigh out loud when you turn and see the two gods walking into the kitchen.
"For what?" you ask cautiously, assuming it's not a good thing since it's coming from Loki.
"For failing the assessment so spectacularly thus far of course," he smirks. Thor elbows him in the side but the God of Mischief continues to smile. "I'm simply saying what we are all thinking. No one excepted the infamous Winter Soldier to struggle with such simple tasks," he says.
"Ignore my brother," Thor rolls his eyes, "Everyone else does."
Loki glares at Thor angrily, while they are distracted with each other you quietly start to make your way out of the kitchen. You almost bump into Sam as soon as you turn to leave and know you're not going to be able to escape yet.
"You're back already? I thought you would still be out with Y/N," he says as he checks his watch.
"Oh, yea. We stayed for about an hour after you all left," you tell him an wish you hadn't left your room.
"An hour? The bar isn't even closed yet," he puts his hand over his eyes, clearly disappointed in you.
You shrug in response.
"At least tell me you kissed her?" Sam asks.
You should have known this question was coming. You look over at Thor and Loki who are now leaning against the island, fully invested in your conversation with Sam. The last thing you want is for Loki to have anything else he can make fun of you for but there doesn't seem to be a way out of this.
Loki sees you glance over and raises his eyebrow as he asks, "Well Sargent, are you going to kiss and tell?"
You look down and feel a bit embarrassed as you shake your head, "No... I didn't kiss her."
All three men groan loudly so you quickly add, "But I have a coffee date with her in the morning."
"Ok, well that's something," Sam says as he pats you hard on the back.
"Yea, I mean... I'm pretty sure it's a date at least," you tell them and regret it immediately.
"Pretty sure?" Loki repeats with a light laugh.
"You caught that too, huh?" Sam says, looking over at Loki. "What the hell do you mean you're pretty sure it's a date?"
"Uh... well," you rub the back of your neck while you think.
"What exactly happened?" Sam asks, crossing his arms.
"So... she reminded me that the first time we met, I ran into her and spilled her coffee all over her," you explain.
"I would like to say I'm surprised but I'm not," Loki comments and Thor laughs.
You try not to look at the brothers and continue, "Anyways, she told me I still owed her a coffee. I asked her if she wanted to get some in the morning and she said yes... so that's a date right?"
Sam looks at you for a moment almost in disbelief then says, "I can't believe Steve said you used to be good at this."
_________________________________________
(The next morning)
You open the door to the coffee shop and look around for Y/N, worried she might have given up on you. You were almost twenty minutes late and the fact that you forgot to ask for her number last night was something Sam wasn't going to let go of for a while. You finally see her sitting at a table for two near the back of the room and your whole body relaxes when she waves excitedly at you.
She gets up as you approach the table. "Hi Bucky," she says with a bright smile as she puts her arms around you tightly. You hug her back and find it hard to let her go. Her hair is soft and sweet smelling and she fits so perfectly against you.
When you both sit you say, "I'm really sorry I'm late."
"Its ok," she says, tucking her hair behind her ear but you feel bad and want to explain what happened.
"I actually left really early so I wouldn't be late because I wanted to get you these," you hold up the flowers with a nervous smile. "I uh... I realized halfway to the flower shop that I had forgotten my wallet in my room so I ended up walking back to the tower."
She shakes her head and laughs a little, "That sounds like something that would happen to you."
"Yea..." you say quietly.
"So..." she says and you look at her a bit concerned. "Can I have the flowers?" she asks, pointing to them.
You hadn't realized you put them on the table just out of her reach. "Oh, yes. Right, I'm sorry. Here," you say awkwardly as you pick them up and hand them to her.
She blushes a bit as she takes them, touching the petals lightly. "Thank you Bucky. How did you know these are my favorite?" she asks.
You try to shrug and act calm but inside your thrilled. When you got to the florist, you were confronted by an enormous selection of flowers, some you had never even seen before. You didn't want to tell her you spent almost fifteen minutes touching and smelling every single flower before you made a decision.
"I didn't, I just picked out ones that reminded me of you," you answer and she giggles, smelling the flowers before carefully placing them back on the table.
"No one's ever brought me flowers on a date before," she says.
Date!... she said date, your brain screamed. You were right, at lay you hadn't screwed that part up, you thought.
"I didn't even know people still did that," she adds and your sudden confidence boost nearly vanishes.
"Oh... I'm not sure if they do either. It's been a while since my last date," you say, looking down at the table. Maybe you weren't supposed to get flowers anymore, had that changed, you wondered.
She laughs, "Me too. I don't think I've been on a date in like six months."
You sit across from her silently, doing the math quickly in your head. "I haven't been on a date in... almost eighty years," you tell her seriously.
She looks at you almost in shock and your heart nearly stops. Of course Y/N knew you were a super soldier and had been frozen but sometimes people forget how much time really passed for you.
"Oh my god," she finally says. "Well, I guess you win," as she laughs she gently rests her hand on top of your right hand and your nerves disappear again.
You offer to buy her coffee and come back to the table with two drinks and a chocolate donut for each of you. The conversation flows easily and your confidence slowly raises every time she touches your arm or hand when she talks. As you finish your coffee she checks her phone for the time.
"We should probably get back to the tower. It's almost time for your next assessment," she says, taking the last bite of her donut.
And with that, you suddenly feel like disappearing again. The gym was still closed for repairs from the damage you caused yesterday so you weren't sure what the plan for for today.
"You could just save the time and fail me now," you mumble and look down at the table.
"You're not going to fail," she says positively as she stands up and pushes her chair in. "Come on, I think today is going to be fun."
You sigh and stand up but then you remember what Sam said last night. "Oh... um, actually. I meant to ask yesterday but... could I have your phone number?" you barely get the words out. Why was that so hard, you ask yourself.
She smiles, "Oh, good idea. This way you can let me know if you're going to be late for our next date."
Your heart jumps again, next date she said. Maybe you really weren't too horrible at this, you think.
She unlocks her phone, "Here, put in your number and I'll text you so you have mine."
You nod and just as you are about to take it, it slips from your grasp. You reach for it as it falls and manage to catch it before it hits the ground. Y/N puts her hand over her mouth and her eyes are fixed on your metal hand. Opening your fingers slowly to see the screen covered in cracks.
You aren't sure what else to do but hold your hand out so she can take it back. She picks up the phone and a small piece of the case breaks off. "Oh..." she says quietly. She tries to tap the shattered screen but nothing happens.
"I'm so sorry Y/N," you say. "I'll talk to Stark about getting you another one," you offer.
She nods as she puts it back in her bag. "Its ok."
You apologize again and internally wish the ground would just open and swallow you whole.
"Its ok, Bucky," she says again but you can't seem to make eye contact with her. She puts her hand on your arm softly, "Don't worry about it, it was a few years old anyways. I was due for an upgrade."
You look up and she smiles warmly, you try to smile back but you can't believe you screwed up something else. You stood there silently for a few moments until Y/N said, "Well, we should get back to the tower."
You nod and follow her out of the coffee shop. Walking next to her, you quickly become lost in your thoughts as you yell at yourself for being so clumsy. When you stop at the crosswalk, you feel Y/N's hand carefully slip into yours. You look down as you run your thumb over the back of her hand then look you and smile at her.
"You ok?" she asks as the light changes and you step into the street.
"Better now," you answer.
_________________________________________
(About an hour later)
"Oh... no," you say to Y/N when you reach the double doors to the simulation lab. "This is not a good idea."
"Its going to be great," she says with a smile as she opens the door. "Don't you trust me?"
"I trust you... it's me I don't trust," you answer as you walk into the large room. The lab is mostly empty, there is a large monitor on one wall and opposite that is a glass window to the observation room. You groan when you look towards the window and see several people in the room.
Thor waves excitedly and Loki crosses his arms with a smirk. Steve gives up a hopefully thumbs up from his place next to Sam and you hear Stark’s voice over the speakers in the room, "Y/N, are you sure this is a good idea?"
"You are all so pessimistic, it's going to be fine," Y/N says but it's obvious no one in the observation room believes her. You aren't sure you do either.
"Just be careful, the tech in this room is still in development and those virtual reality goggles cost more then you want to know," Stark adds, which only causes you to become more nervous.
Y/N ignores all of them and explains to you briefly what you need to do. She hands you the virtual reality goggles and tells you everything you see will also show up on the large screen. She then gives you a controller that will act like a gun during the simulation.
"So the objective is to get inside the building, rescue the hostage and get out without dying or getting the hostage killed," she says.
You nod, sounds simple enough but so did using a punching bag. She asks if you are ready and you put the goggles on, taking a deep breath as you find yourself standing in front of a Hydra base. You can still hear Y/N but she sounds farther away, the sounds of gunshots and fighting drown her out.
You quickly forget that everyone is watching and focus on the simulation's mission, get the hostage to safety. After less than fifteen minutes, you successfully complete the task and the goggles turn off as the lights come back on.
"That was fantastic," Y/N says and you beam with pride, finally you had done something right.
You take off the goggles and without thinking, you toss them up lightly and catch them easily. "Pretty impressive huh?" you ask with a wink.
You toss them up again and Stark comes over the speakers. "You better not be playing with those," his voice distracts you for a moment and you just miss them. They fall to the ground and you quickly pick them up. You hold them behind your back and turn so your facing the observation room.
"He broke them didn't he?" Loki asks and you can almost hear him smile.
"Um..." Y/N leans to see behind you. "A little bit."
"A little bit?" Stark asks loudly and you can't help but take a step back. "That's it, I'm putting an end to this before he breaks everything in the Tower."
You swallow hard, this is it. You're being let go from the team before you even had a chance to go on a real mission. Everyone leaves the observation room and comes into the simulation room. Stark puts his hand out and you give him the goggles, the left eye piece is scratched and the right has a crack running across it.
He sighs loudly and pinches his nose. "This whole... assessment thing... it's over," he says.
"Stark, I'm sorry, I didn't-" you try to apologize but he cuts you off.
"Yea yea, I know you're sorry but I'm blaming these two," he points to Steve and Sam.
"What?" you ask, completely confused. Why would this be their fault, you wonder.
"There is no assessment for new recruits," he responds and you are stunned. "You're a Hydra experiment, we already have all the information we need on your abilities. Do you really think we needed to watch you run on a treadmill for hours?"
"I guess not," you answer.
"I for one am still glad he did though, that was the best thing I have seen in years," Loki chimes in and Thor laughs in agreement.
You turn to look at Y/N and notice she is watching Sam as he slowly backs away towards the door.
Stark continues, "You're... friends here thought you needed a bit of help getting to know our head trainer so they came up with this ridiculous plan to force you to spend time together."
Steve laughs nervously and Sam says, "Would you look at the time..." He reaches behind him for the door handle, "I have to water my plants." He opens the door and slips out quickly, you cross your arms and look at your oldest friend.
"Steve, is there anything you would like to add?" Y/N asks.
"I... well..." he sighs and runs his fingers through his hair. "Sam and I knew Bucky wanted to talk to you but he just didn't have enough confidence to do it, so we thought we would help," he says.
She puts her hand on her hips and he says, "I mean it worked didn't it?"
"It better have worked. Do you have any idea how much damage Barnes caused to the gym and now these?" Stark says holding up the goggles.
Y/N looks at you and smiles as you walk over to her. You put your arm around her waist and pull her closer to you.
"Yea, it worked," you tell them as you keep eye contact with Y/N. You slide your hand gently to her lower back and lean down to kiss her softly. When you pull back she blushes and hides against your chest, you kiss the top of her head while continuing to holding her tightly.
"Adorable..." Loki groans as he turns to leave the room. You laugh a bit and nod to Thor as he follows his brother out.
"As happy as I am for the two of you," Stark says with a smile, then it fades and he turns towards Steve. "You and Sam are officially banned from ever setting up two people again, is that clear Captain?"
Steve nods and looks at the ground as Stark walks past him out of the room. As soon as the door closes, he looks up with a wide smile. "I knew it would work," he says proudly.

Loki Laufeyson x distributor!male reader
I made my own plot, for the sake of my imagination. I'm not really sorry...
Tumblr media
Side chapter
Oh, I'm not the leader. He is.
Summary: You've found a great opportunity. A deal with the devil or was it a God? But your lonely ass got a bit too attached. Maybe his lonely ass has the same problem. Maybe.
Genre: fluff
Warnings: loooong, strong language, mature themes, swearing, you
Not proofread...
"What a Midgardian like yourself can give to a God, like me?"
You stood before the one and only Loki Laufeyson. Hehe good for business. "Oh, my mighty God." Your voice reeked of sarcasm as you dramatically bowed to him and continued. "I present to you the Scepter." You moved out of the way a little.
After the SHIELD accident where Loki's staff was taken and hidden away from him, you found it an easy way to get a lot of money or supplies. Your skill in being bad shit crazy has always been an advantage since you have no sense of danger. Sometimes your own foolishness leads you to bad people. This time tho is different.
Loki eyed the staff that was next to you as you lean your hand on the stool it was displayed on. He tried and reach for it but you cover it and were ready to pull out one of your flame throwers to shoo him away. "Ah-ah! My prince, my God, so needy." You said as you looked into his furious green eyes. "I think I deserve to be paid for all the trouble this pretty little thing caused me." You smiled as you uncover it and teasingly touched it.
Loki seemed to think about your offer. He looked at you again. "What kind of payment do you need and how much?"
"Mmm~ straight to the point. Love to see it!" You looked at him and picked up the Scepter. "Loki, God of Mischief. The biological son of Laufey. I was surprised to find out you truly are not Odinson but rather Laufeyson... Well not really." You shrugged as you walked around with the staff. "All around the galaxy, there are different currencies, therefore only one won't do." You could see the God's frown. So satisfying. You licked your lips and continued to walk around the God of Mischief with his precious staff in hand. "I came to a conclusion, tho." You came from behind him and shoved your face into his. Your finger pointed to your temple and you had a menacing grin. He flinched and backed away from you a little. "You seem like a reasonable guy and a person with a lot of contacts on the darker sides." You twirl the staff around, getting bored of the feeling of it. It was too heavy for your taste, therefore slow and useless. "I need supplies." You said dryly, already bored of everything. You hoped for action, not a conversation.
The God looked like his ego dropped for a second. "What kind of supplies?" He asked as he looked at you hand and cringed at how you treated his weapon.
You walked a bit back. You thought about how to explain what kind you need... You thought about Uru but you weren't sure if you could melt it, tho it could be a good challenge. Then Tony Stark's tech came to mind... But since Loki literally got robbed by SHIELD there's no way he'll be able to get it, plus it's not on the darker side. "Maybe multiple of the Chitauri cores. Sounds like a good deal to me. No?" You smiled and leaned on the staff, mocking the God.
He huffed and stretched his hand for a handshake. "Deal." You smiled at him with closed eyes. You stood upright and grabbed the Scepter in one hand before stretching the other.
You were inches away from his hand when your smile fell and you grabbed the staff like a bat and swung it behind yourself. You definitely hit something or someone. You spun with the force of the swing and laughed. "How stupid do you think I am, God of Mischief?" You kneel to his level and looked into his beautiful green eyes. "I'm not that stupid, princie. I'll give you this piece of... Whatever it's made out of, once you'll behave and once I'll get my stuff." You stood up and went to the display stool the stick once was in.
Now that you had your back turned towards him he'll use it against you. That's what he planned at least. Once at a hand's reach, he pulled out his dagger. He stopped, his dagger almost a centimeter away from stabbing your side.
"Oh, no, no, noooo~ Loki~ I thought I said to behave." The Specter was still in your hands. The tip of it gently touched Loki's forehead. "I really hoped not to use this cursed stick's power but you don't give me a chance. Now you'll surely behave and will bring me my goods. Won't you?" He nodded. But it was odd and you noticed it. "Are you fucking-" you shouted frustrated before being tackled down and your hands pinned behind your back. "Oof!"
You could hear a triumphal huff from Loki as he pressed you against the floor harder.
"Every single time these bitches tackle me from behind! Just tell me you want to fuck me!" You said as you raised your hips so they met with his. "Mmmm~" you moaned and bit your lip. It seemed to put him off guard as you thought and hoped so. You swung your hips, rotated your legs around his waist, and with a powerful impact spun you both.
Loki grunted as his head hit the ground. When he opened his eyes he saw you above him with the Scepter in hand. "How did you?" He asked clearly confused. You smiled at Loki and pointed the weapon at him. He covers.
"Just a Midgardian thing." You said as you made yourself comfortable on his hips. "I will not use it if you collaborate. Is that enough of a fancy word for your highness to understand?" You sighed as he nodded and got off of him. As you stood up you offered him your hand. Foolish? Maybe?
He grabbed your hand and you pulled him up. Once he was standing you shook his hand. "I take it as a deal." You let go and this time cased the Scepter for real. "I'll see you in a few days. Don't worry I don't want to have this cursed stick in my possession for longer than needed. Bye, bye~"
Tumblr media
Loki indeed gave you multiple of the cores you needed. The first ones were fake, yes, but you noticed it before giving the God his staff. Let's just say he regretted it. Well now you're here, happy cus you got what you wanted and a new "friend" to annoy.
Your original plan with the God was to trick him but you found amusement in his suffering when you were around him. You weren't mostly in an arms reach, you saw what he can do and your armor can't always save you. What am I saying, it always did so you weren't scared of dying by his hands.
Loki was not too happy to see you coming back to him after the deal. You constantly distracted him by asking so many questions about Asgard or him in particular. You seem to know his history like it was your own but not him as a person which amused him.
He had no problem answering your questions about himself of course but there were times you hit a spot that still hurts. Like now. You have asked about his mother. But you said it like this "Your stepmom is hot. How was it to grow up with a milf?" He had no idea what the fuck milf is but he guessed it's a Midgardian thing.
He stopped what he was doing and sighed. His hands supported him when he leaned on the table in front of him. The God really didn't want to answer you. He opened his mouth but was cut off by you. "I'm just kidding man." He heard shuffling above him. Once he looked up at you, you were standing, ready to leave.
Loki turned around expecting you to jump away and go home or somewhere you always went, but to his surprise, he heard a thump behind him. "Aww~ leaving me so soon? What a bummer." When he turned towards you, your eyes were looking thru the small notes that Loki made while you talked to him. His eyes widen as you grabbed a specific notebook.
The notebook you held seemed to be something like a sketchbook with small notes here and there. You browse thru it and stopped at a familiar-looking figure.
You felt the air change while you admire the pencil work, so you dodged blindly but you kept your eyes on the page. You gawked at it in awe.
You kept blindly dodging something. Who or what you didn't know. Eventually, you stopped completely and turned around with the sketchbook up high. "IS THAT ME????" You shout-asked the person in front of you and expected an affirmation. It was Loki.
He freezes and looked at you and the drawing. "No! What? Why would it be you? Don't be flatter yourself, Midgardian."
Confusion washed over you. You tilt your head and looked at the picture again. "Are you sure? That's the same pipe I sat on every day and that's the same armor I wear...every day!" You then sniffed the armor. "...I'm glad I've been up there the whole time..."
The God sighed and snatched the sketchbook out of your hands. "No, it's not you, and yes, I'm glad so too!"
"Then... Who is it?" You asked clueless as you followed Loki to the table like a lost puppy. He sighed again and facepalmed. You were confused by his gesture. Yes, you were annoying but it looked more like he thinks you are- "Hey! I'm not a fool!" You grabbed his shoulders and turned him around, placing your hands on the table on either side of him. Now he was trapped and facing you. "You're a really talented artist, you know? But it seems like you're bad at telling the truth, Loki, God of mischief. Nothing surprising, but one day it's gonna cost you your pretty little head." You told him with a smile and brought your gloved finger to his nose "Boop"
He started at you in awe and confusion. You then backed away and looked thru the sketchbook again. Loki frantically looked around himself. He searched for the sketchbook you now had, again. "You filthy thief."
"Oh, ouch! That's mean!" you said as a single tear fell down your face and your heartache. You made a face at him for a few seconds then browse the sketchbook again as if nothing happened.
Loki can admit he doesn't understand your personality at all. It was so confusing but something comfortable was hidden behind it. He felt it before but doesn't remember when. It scares him a little.
"Look just give it back and no blood will be shed." Loki said as he neared you. You took a step back and started to slowly walk away from the God.
As you browse the book, the more you noticed that there wasn't just one sketch of you but quite a few. All in different angles and poses, as if he's trying to learn the anatomy of you. You can't deny you look good on a sheet of paper but it was a bit strange. It was made by the God of Mischief, of course, it's strange.
As you walked and dodged his hands you spare a quick but observant glance at him. If one didn't know Loki, one would say the expression on his face is one of annoyance but you knew the God at least a bit. His face showed embarrassment and frustration.
You hid your smile behind the book as you backed away against a wall, Loki following closely in front of you. Once your back touched the cold wall Loki was a mere centimeter away from you. Your e/c eyes looked into his green ones, taunting him. He breathed shallowly but didn't reach for the book.
Your smile grew into a smug one. "Loki, the God of Mischief, found a fancy in a mid Midgardian like myself. What a fiasco!" You whispered dramatically as your eye contact has yet to be broken.
His eyes flicker lower from your eyes but was quick to correct himself and look into them again. "You have something I possess." He breathed out.
You chuckled, closed the book, and pressed it against Loki's chest. You cockily smiled at no one in particular, you pat his shoulder as he clumsally held his sketchbook. With your smile and closed eyes, you went to walk away from the God. His hands stopped you before you could take a proper step. It caged you between him and the wall.
You thought you were smart when you shrugged and went under his hand. At one point you are standing on your legs the other you're sitting on your ass with wide eyes that stared into a pool of green. Your hands were pinned above your head and one of your legs was bent.
"You've been toying with me for good 3 months now, Midgardian. But you've always been above me, out of my reach." The God started. His eyes were dangerous and his voice an octave lower. "Now that the birdie decided to fly off of its tree, it has nowhere to go." He smiled at you but not in a friendly way. Oop you've done messed up.
"Look man, I know I shouldn't have taken it without permission b-BUT-" you tried to defend yourself but stuttered as he inched closer to you. You turned your head to the side while still looking at Loki without blinking. You were afraid. Loki never got this close to you before now he had so many openings and if he wanted to he can kill you just like that.
He started to laugh and backed away with his head. You relaxed a bit, still side-eyeing him, but you felt better when the otherworldly being give you some air to breathe. But he became a giggling mess, letting your hands loose. You were so confused. You were fully turned towards him now, with a tilted head.
"You should have seen your face." His voice broke between his giggling. He looked cute, and innocent, like a child.
You relaxed more and smiled feeling the giggles in your throat form. You couldn't help it and started to giggle as well. Now you both sat on the floor laughing and giggling.
You stopped at some point desperate for air and a break for your diaphragm. Still a little giggly but you were there. When you opened your eyes Loki was looking at you. You gave him a toothy grin and bumped his arm. He smiled back at the gesture. Once you got up you helped him up as well.
You dusted yourself when Loki spoke again. "You seem to like calling me a God." He grabbed his sketchbook and walked to his desk to put it away. You stood there idly. Not a sentence you'd expect to be said at that bonding moment.
"Well that's what you are, is it not?" With a shove of your hands in your pockets, you walked closer to him. He didn't answer and you didn't expect an answer. It would be difficult if he had said something. "A higher being. My superior." You leaned against the table and looked up at the ceiling. "Yet, we're not so different after all." You whispered lightly.
Loki looked at you confused. You started great, amazing even but you had to end it like that didn't you? "Not so different?" He snorted.
"Um, yah???" You looked at him like he was crazy.
"M/n, as far as I'm concerned, I know for a fact we're very different from each other." He sighed and turned away from you. You still had your eyes on him.
"You are maybe immortal and have all of these abracadabra powers-" Loki looked at you very confused when you said abracadabra. He'd never heard that phrase before. "-but you're still a boy. You still have emotions that can be hurt. If I'm bold to say- you are more human than you give yourself a credit. AND I know you don't! " you pointed at him. He looked at you with disgust but it was more playful than serious. You froze which surprised the God. It was so sudden he didn't expect it. "Did you just call me by my name?" You whispered whit a dumbfounded expression.
Loki looked into your eyes. His eyes shifted between your right and left, trying to figure out if you were joking. You've been calling him by his name this whole time, why shouldn't he call you by yours as well? "Yes?"
"Huh..." You felt giddy. No one really says your name. They always say something like the earthy thief or the worm seller but no one ever used your name... Now that you think about it you never told anyone your name, well except for Loki. "Aweeeee!~ You shouldn't have!" You hugged yourself and waved him away with a shy hand.
Loki rolled his eyes at you and walked away. You followed right behind him. He stopped and double take you following him. "I'll be leaving now. Um...you should too."
"Oh! Right! Well, have a nice day, Godling!" You stopped as well and mockingly bowed to him. You gave him a smile and jumped up the several pipes that were above you.
"Yeah.. You too..."
Tumblr media
You're currently waiting for Loki. You sat at his table, munching on the fruits he has on it. They were very delicious looking, you couldn't just stare at them. After you finally, how Loki likes to put it, flew down from your tree, you've been doing it more frequently. The God wasn't dangerous. At least not to you.
You've kept him silent company when he worked and once he stopped you opened your unstoppable mouth. Although he seemed annoyed he always converse with you and laughed at your jokes. Someone can appreciate them at least. Whenever he laughed you felt accomplished.
You wonder what is taking the God so long. He said he'll be back in a minute. IT'S BEEN 5 MINUTES! Too long for your liking. You ate the last bite of your fruit and threw away the parts that you don't eat. You sighed deeply and stretched your legs. Your eyes shifted to the door Loki went thru and left you here alone. You've never explored Loki's base, should you now? Naaaaaah.
You jumped in Loki's very comfortable chair and just sit there. He didn't even let you look thru his sketchbook again. What an ass! You let out another loud sigh and closed your eyes as you made yourself comfortable in his chair.
You relaxed after so long. Your family has been killing you lately. You loved them but it's hard to talk to a none human creatures like them. They passed your vibe check...they passed it a bit too well. You smiled at the memories of them. You need to visit them again the face-timing(you call like that but it's different) is just not enough.
A loud bang came from the door the God despaired in. You hid in the chair as you prepared your weapons. 'An FBI attack?' Once ready, for whoever, oh so rudely, entered the room. You peeked your head towards the now busted doors. There wasn't anyone standing there and you didn't hear footsteps either. You were confused and your brows frowned.
In an instance, you were flying away from the table, but not willingly. You hit a wall and it nocked your air out. You also felt something crack inside of you, like a bone. You tried catching your breath while concentrating on your surroundings. You wheezed but still stood up ready to fight. Something trickled down your face but you didn't have time to examine it as something like a plate was thrown in your direction.
You dodged and ran away from it. You couldn't see anything because there was dust and probably some kind of gas everywhere. Thankfully you have a M.A.S.K., yes, you named it. You held your weapon up enough to aim at nothing and fired. You had a menacing smile on your face and ran in circa the same direction the plate came from.
Once close enough you saw a familiar blue, red and white uniform. Your smile grew and you jump and aimed at Captain America's head. You fired and a purple pinkish light came out of your weapon. As you saw it inching closer to the man's head your smile grew even wider if it's even possible. But yet again you've been thrown away to the side. This time you couldn't get up. Not cus you're a human cus something really heavy was on your back.
You squirmed and wiggled but you wouldn't budge so you gave up. When you looked behind yourself you smiled sheepishly. "What's up iron duck. How's lif- ACK" You yelped as the weight grew. "Did you gain weight? Damn!" You breathe out and giggled at your joke.
"What was your plan whit the Scepter!" Captain America said in his bossy tone. You're familiar with it, even if only once. You giggled but stopped when Ironman put more pressure on your back.
"To take over the woooorld~" You said dramatically and smiled at the three colored man. He didn't like your attitude and grabbed you from below the tin can man. "WOAH!"
"Oof!" your back was slammed against a wall. 'Why do they always do that?' You rolled your eyes. But your eyes caught something for a sec. Meh not important right now. "What now? Gonna kiss me passionately?" You give the captain a smug look. He seemed a bit shook up, not as much as Loki but it was there. "Sorry man, I do not swing that way- OOF" Your back was again slammed against a wall, the same wall.
"Don't joke with us-..." "N/n(nickname)" "Don't joke with us, N/n!!" He said with venom in his tone. Lovely. "What do you need the Scepter for?" He gripped your armor more.
"Dude chill. Do you really need to know for what I need it for? Just take the stick, shove it up your ass, destroy everything I worked so hard for and we'll be done." You sweetly smiled at him. He replied to you with another shove to the wall. "Could you cut.that.out?" You asked as you head bumped the man. Big mistake. That man's skull is like a rock, you almost blackout. "What in the queen's name is your head made out of?" Your eyes watered you could feel your head throb.
"I see what are you doing."
"Oh really, ice cubeman?"
"Your minions aren't very loyal, did you know?"
You rose a brow. You cupped his cheeks and give him a big toothy smile. "Oh, but I'm not their leader." You pushed his head up, even tho it was harder than intended, you did in the end. "He is~"
Loki the God himself paid you a visit. FINALLY!
The rest was just a blur of chaos to you. You've lost a lot of blood from your open skull. But you remember you laughing like a maniac and aiming at the red tin can. You did shoot but if you hit him that was a mystery.
Tumblr media
You've woke up with an incredible headache. You sat up with much difficulty yet your afford was in vain when someone pushed you down to lay again. You groaned and felt dryness in your throat like you haven't drunk for a while. Your e/c eyes opened and were met with a gray, blurry ceiling.
You blinked the blurriness away and looked around. You saw Loki he was looking away from you but his hand was on your chest keeping you in place. His face, at least the part you could see, was looking sad. He had eyebags and he seemed very unhappy. You looked back up at the ceiling and breath out. "Man...Did we lose?" Your voice was broken, hoars but it was loud enough to break the silence.
You could feel Loki's fingers twitch. It seems like you didn't have your armor on. You sighed loudly and closed your eyes. "Did I at least hit the iron duck?" You asked but received silence.
"...Iron...duck?" Loki asked and you snorted. Soon you regretted it as your head ached more. Your eyes stayed closed but you could imagine his confused face.
"Ironman, sweety, Ironman."
You could hear him snort but he soon recovered. "Yeah, you did." You felt proud. You're not that lame at aiming. "Thanks to that he got distracted and I could land my blows but as you said... We've lost..."
You opened your eyes again and looked the other way from where Loki is. You have just noticed you're in a cage that has glass walls...Why tho? "I feel like a monke in a zoo." You said your thoughts out loud. Loki hummed and you could feel him get up. Your gaze shifted to him. He was looking more frustrated than when you annoy him.
This was your chance to sit up!
You slowly sat up and once fully up you straighten your spine up. With a few pops, you grunted in pain. Once you looked in Loki's direction again he was looking at you, very unamused. "What?" You asked him, he just shook his head and looked out the cage.
With a sigh, you looked in the other direction. "JESUS-" You screamed. When you turned around someone stood outside the cage. You scared yourself enough to fall back down. You never saw this person but by the way Loki was walking toward him, he seemed infatuated by the eye patch guy. You tilted your head at him. 'What is he doing?' The two started to talk but your mind shited towards yourself.
"WHY AM I NAKED?????" You yelled and covered yourself with the white sheet you had around you and looked at Loki swiftly. "LOKI!" You squealed at the ravenette.
"You've been severely wounded we had to treat your wounds. That suit of yours, quite amazing may I say but wasn't enough to heal you." The eye patch guy, Loki conversed with, answered your question. Your shoulders fell.
Your eyes shifted to the man. "May I have my armor back?" You asked and mimicked Loki's Bri'ish accent. You could see Loki's brow raising at your horrible accent. The eye patch man didn't seem to be amazed and before he could answer you another man came in.
You knew this man. Of course, you did. Tony fucking Stark, the genius of New York and iron duck. You've met him a couple of times before, solely on business terms. You sold him some weird iron that is hard to obtain on earth but easy on other planets. He didn't know it was not a rock from Earth but some alien planet. He might have said no, if he would. You need the money.
"Well, we meet again." Tony raised his cup full of something towards you.

Shuumatsu no Valkyrie headcanons
┊➛ The Norse gods react to seeing Loki's children.
⚠️: None.
Tumblr media
💜 My notes: It would really be fun and it would make me very happy to see all these children within the story (especially Jormungandr and Hel <3), an inspiration that came to mind after seeing a post by my beautiful and wonderful mama Thea about Thor giving his opinion on these kiddos (maybe I'm basing myself a little on the original myths), enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Allfather thinks that Loki's children are creatures of evil and that they can bring down the gods, Odin will probably take drastic measures with the children, depending on the danger these children represent.
Although with Narfi and Vali, Allfather would not have any problem, since both little ones are too young and harmless to be considered a danger, although of course, there will be times when both children can get into mischief, which Odin dislikes a little, but they are children, what can be done to them?
Odin considers Sleipnir to be a unique and curious being, as he is an eight-legged horse, but it is his fastest and most reliable means of transportation, so the eight-legged horse is acceptable and is not considered a danger to Allfather.
Of the other three, Odin has no reason to speak or give an opinion, since he considers them to be true beings of chaos and destruction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thor finds Loki's children interesting and curious, as they are unique beings, two normal kids, two animal children, a girl who is alive and at the same time dead, and an eight-legged horse.
Thor does not see children as a threat (for now) although he wonders why Jormungandr is scared when seeing him for the first time, perhaps it is because of his serious and cold aura, or because of the power that emanates from his powerful Mjolnir, but it is whatever the reason, Thor does not take the fear of the snake as important, he will surely get over it.
With Narfi and Vali, Thor has nothing against them, they brought out personalities of Loki and Sigyn, with normal and playful children, which he likes, he could even take care of them.
With Hel and Fenrir, he does not consider them as threats or beings of evil, although of course they both could have gotten a unique personality from their father, of course Fenrir can be very active and sometimes problematic, so sometimes he has to keep an eye on him, as to Hel, she and Thor may get along well, since they are both calm, serious, and sometimes don't care what's going on around them.
Although if he saw Sleipnir, he would surely have many thoughts and doubts in his head, he does not want to know the story of how this eight-legged horse came into the world, but Thor considers Sleipnir an interesting creature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh come on, Loki is the father, he doesn't have a fixed opinion about his children, he loves them all equally, they are HIS children.
He doesn't care how strange, normal or curious they are, he is their father, he loves them equally, he accepts them as they are, no matter what others think about them, as a father, Loki will always do what is necessary to provide for his children healthy, safe and comfortable.
His children may sometimes be naughty, sometimes a pain in the butt, a troublemaker, or little scoundrels, but he loves them just the way they are, loves spending time with them, and will do whatever it takes to make his little ones happy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Knowing Loki's nature, Heimdall clearly thinks that these children can sometimes be troublesome, mischievous, and sometimes a pain in the butt, and that perhaps in the future they can be a greater danger to the gods, but even so, they are young enough to make enormous chaos, especially Hel, Fenrir and Jormungandr.
Heimdall has no problem with Narfi and Vali, they are still very young and just children who want to play and have fun, although clearly Heimdall will have to take care of his precious Gjallahorns, since Narfi and Vali, sometimes being very mischievous, can take the Gjallahorns as mere toys.
With Sleipnir, Heimdall would be left speechless, just… analyzing the situation of how an eight-legged horse can be the son of Loki, Heimdall does not want to think about the context behind Sleipnir's birth, it would seem a little strange and weird, but Compared to the other children, Heimdall considers Sleipnir acceptable, a curious, interesting and at the same time decent being.

Illicit Affairs
Tumblr media
Summary: You’re betrothed to Thor thanks to an arranged marriage, but after moving into the palace to get to know your husband to be, you find yourself caught up in an affair with his brother…
Warning: SMUT (18+ only) oral sex (male receiving), fingering, vaginal sex
Paring: Loki x Fem Reader
This one shot is based on the song "Illicit Afairs" by Taylor Swift, I listened to this song while writing and there are many references in the story!
You caught Loki's gaze across the table, staring at you longingly, eyes moving from your face and then to the arm slung around your waist. You glanced into his eyes, he didn't have to say a word and you knew exactly what he was trying to say. Meet me in my chamber tonight.
These dinners were absolutely miserable, and it left a sting in Loki's heart every time he saw Thor touch you. He knew you didn't belong to him, he knew you were betrothed to his brother, but that didn't stop the possessive feelings he got when he saw the two of you together, even if it was all for formalities.
Your marriage was arranged, and you moved into the palace of Asgard to get to know your future husband before being married. The last thing you expected was getting tangled up with his brother, the God of Mischief.
It all started in the ball room, the most beautiful and grand room in the palace, it was so innocent then. A single glance that lasted too long, turned into sneaking away to meet in the gardens, under a staircase, or anywhere you had a moment alone. You kept telling yourself you could always stop this at any moment.
It's been nearly a year now, and as your feelings have grown stronger, your wedding grows nearer. You're a fool, you know it, you want to blame Loki for making you one but you only have yourself to blame truthfully. You knew from the first moment this couldn't last it, it would dwindle out, it would die.
As dinner ended and you went back to your rooms, you prepared to meet Loki in his chambers. You never put in effort like this for Thor, but Thor didn't make you feel this way, like you were in a high, on the best drug that any realm had. You picked up a bottle of your favorite perfume, but caught yourself before applying it. He can't smell like you.
As the night consumed the palace and the halls were mostly clear you slipped out of your rooms, checking to make sure no one saw you leave. You snuck your way down to the Prince's room and slipped in quietly, he was waiting for you. Before you even had the door shut fully, his hands were on you, pulling you flush against him, lips on your neck and making their way up to meet yours.
You kissed him back roughly, spilling all your emotions into the kiss, hoping he understood. The wedding was now weeks away, and as you were roaming the halls here, you had made up your mind it was time to end this. You wrapped your arms around him tightly, if this was to be the last time you wanted to make sure it was unforgettable, the memory would be all you had left after all.
Loki pulled away, you opened your eyes and his face was written with worry. "What's wrong love?" he whispers, wiping away a tear that was falling down your cheek. You didn't even know you had started crying, too caught up in trying to memorize every inch of his body. "I'm sorry, it's nothing, let's continue." You gestured for him to bring his lips back to yours.
Loki shook his head and pulled away further, now leading you to the sofa in the middle of the room. "It's not nothing, something is troubling you darling." he speaks softly, his hand on your leg rubbing small circles as comfort. You sigh and look down to the ground, not able to meet his gaze. "The wedding is close.." you cut your words short when you felt Loki's hand stiffen on your leg.
You looked back up to him, his face was emotionless, but his body tense. Another tear escaped you, you didn't know why you were crying, this was always the outcome. "We must end this now Loki, I cannot bring this into my marriage, it is unfair to us, unfair to Thor." you choked out the last few words. Talking about Thor and marriage felt sour in your mouth.
"You said you did not care for him." he says, you heard the tinge of hurt in his voice. You shook your head, "I don't, I never wanted this, but it is as it is and we can't change it. This is my life, and it's not fair to us to continue something with no means to an end." you explain.
Loki moves closer to you, taking your hand in his. "I do not wish to end things, we can figure something out." he says in a reassuring tone, you know he knows there is no other way. "We cannot change the situation, this is what's best for us all." the words are heavy in your mouth, you want nothing more than to be able to throw yourself into Loki's embrace in front of the whole realm, but fate is not on your side.
"Baby.." he trailed off, you shook your head as another tear escaped you, when he called you that it felt as nothing else mattered. "No please, don't call me that. This is not easy for me Loki." you breathed. He looked angry now, in one long stride he closed the distance between you. "You think this is easy for me? Watching you with my brother? Knowing you are to be married to him?" he shouts.
His eyes are wild, he's panting and looks as if he may snap you in half at any giving moment. "Yet again my brother always gets what I will never have.." he trailed off, your met his eyes then, your brows furrowed trying to make sense of what he was saying. "What are you talking about Loki?" you ask
He grips your hips, pulling you in closer to him. "You. Your heart." he finally says, you feel another wave of emotion come over you and you choke back the tears. You reach your hand up to stroke the side of his cheek, his skin is cool against yours. "You silly man, Thor does not have my heart, you do. You have had it for months now, but if we were to continue this affair, we would be ruined if caught. You would be ruined Loki, I cannot allow that." you tell him.
He placed his hand over yours that still rest on his cheek, and uses his other to pull you flush against him. "Darling, for you I would ruin myself." he says, his lips come down to yours and he pushes you back onto the sofa, resting his weight on you. You wrapped your arms around his neck, wanting him as close as possible.
You felt his erection hard on your thigh as he ground slightly on you, letting out small gasp at the friction. The sounds he made always had you growing wetter, everything about Loki made you feel like you were on fire when you were with him. He began kissing down your neck, suckling on your pulse point and causing you to groan in pleasure, he was surely leaving a bruise for later.
His hand began slipping your silk body dress off your chest, giving him access to your breast. He continued his line of kissing til he made it your left breast, sucking and biting every so slight on your hardened nipple, as his right hand made work on the other. You were withering already, moaning under his touch, you were burning with desire.
You threw your head back and squeezed your eyes shut as Loki's hand traveled down between your legs, he slid his thumb ever so slightly over your clit, and you moaned loudly. He chuckled to himself "I do so love the effect I have on your my dear." his fingers start teasing you faster, you have to grab the sheet to keep yourself grounded.
He starts working lower, massaging your folds between his fingers and then slides 2 fingers inside and began pumping, "Oh my god Loki.." you panted, using your free hand to tangle in his hair and pull his lips back to yours. He kissed you hungrily, pumping his fingers harder and hitting your sweet spot perfectly. You felt the coil in your belly tightening, your orgasm nearing.
"Loki...I'm close..please" you moaned out, grinding harder down on his palm. He kissed behind your ear "Cum for me baby.." he growls, you topple over the edge then, your orgasm making your whole body tingle as you moan out Loki's name. He begins peppering kisses up your whole body, til he reaches your mouth and then kisses you roughly again.
"I don't know how you expect me to just let you go...you are simply the most magnificent women I've ever met." he whispers to you, you blush at his compliment but it makes you feel that much more dreadful inside, once this is over, it will truly be for the last time.
You slide from his grasp and off the couch, Loki is eyeing you carefully with a confused look on his face as he sets up, before he has the chance to ask you sink to your knees, rendering a smirk from the God above you. "I could say the same for you, no one in the universe will ever be ever to please me the way you do." you say sensually, rubbing your hands up his thighs, gaining a hum from him.
You place small kisses up his thighs until you reach his groin, his cock is already leaking precum and is swollen, you can tell he's absolutely desperate to be touched but you take your time kissing and touching all around his waist and thighs, causing Loki to squirm and gasp at your ever move. "If you don't stop teasing me love, you're going to be in for a rough punishment later." he says through gritted teeth.
You just grin up at him before placing a kiss to his tip and wrapping one hand around his shift, causing him to moan loudly. You slowly begin to make him in your mouth, hollowing your cheeks to take in his entire length. Loki is panting and moaning above you, "Gods yes.." he grunts. You continue taking more of him in your mouth, gagging slightly as the tip hits the back of your throat.
Once you have taken him fully, you begin to bob up and down, Loki wraps his hand in your hair to guide you down on him, groaning and panting above you. You love knowing you are the one getting these reactions out of him, it only breaks your heart more knowing this is the last time.
"Your mouth is sinful..keep going love." Loki encourages, you hum in delight around him, working faster to get him to his peak. You can tell he's close when the hand wrapped your air pulls tighter, Loki starts bucking slightly into your throat, chasing his release. After a few more moments he's cumming in your mouth, hot liquid coating the back of your throat and you happily swallow it all.
You release with a pop and Loki's chest is heaving above you. "You are extraordinary." he praises, causing a blush to spread over your face. He hooks his finger under your chin and brings you back up to his face and then pulls you on top until you are straddling him. His cock brushes up against your clit, gaining a small gasp from you.
You want him, more than you ever have, and maybe it's because this is the last time and you wish more than anything fate were on your side in this. Thor didn't need you, he was only obliged to you due to a political treaty from many many years ago. You didn't want to be queen, you never even wanted to be royalty.
Loki's lips were cool against yours, he helped lift you up and guide you above him. You lined your entrance up with his cock and slowly began to sink down, the tip pushed into you slightly and you both moaned out at the feeling. You sank further down on him "always so tight for me.." Loki growled against your neck. He finally bottomed out in you and you signed happily and the full feeling you always got with him inside you.
You rocked your hips at a slow and even pace at first, indulging in the feeling of his cock hitting your sweet spot every so slightly but not enough to bring you to the edge. Loki grunted and then grabbed your hips hard, holding you in place and then begin pumping into you at a rough pace. You throw your hard back and yell his name. "Yes..I love hearing my name from your lips..say it again" he demands.
"Loki.." you call out, even if anyone could hear you through these walls, you wouldn't care. In this moment all you cared about was Loki, how he made you feel, how he made your heart want to beat out of your chest just looking at him, he was the most beautiful, intelligent and wonderful man you've ever known. And in this moment, you know for a fact you love him.
Tears spilled down your cheeks from the pleasure and the realization both, he held you close to his chest as he pumped into you harder. With each thrust you felt yourself growing closer, you met his pace and started rocking your hips, your eyes screwed shut and your head thrown back as you impending orgasm approached.
"Loki, please, I'm gonna cum, please make me cum" you shouted, nails digging into his shoulders. He held onto you tighter and thrusted his cock into you at an almost painful rate, your breast bouncing against him, your pussy clenched tightly around his cock as you grew closer. All of it sent him over the edge, and he came with a shout inside you.
You came with him, grinding against him to ride it out as long as possible and then finally falling onto his chest to catch your breath. After you both came back down, Loki moved and laid you both down, bringing you close so you could cuddle against his chest and planter soft kisses to the crown of your head.
"I don't want this to end.." you whisper, looking up at him, he meets your gaze with sad eyes. "I don't either." he replies. You stroke your hand over his chest, swallowing the lump in your throat. You know you shouldn't say this, it's only going to hurt worse, but the way he's looking at you in this moment as if you were the only women in the galaxies spurs you on.
"Loki.." you move closer to his face, placed a hand on his cheek. He looks down at you, trying to read your face. "Yes?" he answers. A tear falls from your eye, and he wipes it away quickly. "I...I love you. I know that's the worst thing I could possibly say, I know it's wrong, but I just needed you to know. I'm sorry and I-" you are cut off with his lips on yours, you deepen the kiss as his tongue slips into your mouth.
"Darling, I fell for you the moment I saw you across that room. I love you, and I want nothing more than to be with you. I thought you wanted to end this?" he adds at the end, you could hear the strain in his voice at the last sentence and you look away. "I don't want to know, but I don't know what other option we have." you admit.
"Well before you admitted you wanted to break this affair, I wanted you to come here tonight because I have a plan, for us." he says. You give him a confused look and gesture for him to continue.
"I realized shortly after I had you for the first time, I would never be able to give you up. There's no way my father could break things off between you and Thor without a valid reason without breaking the treaty. The only option is if you were to flee, things would be tense for a bit but Odin could just barter for another women of royalty to take your place and most women would line up to be queen of Asgard one day. I have made an agreement when Heimdal that he shield his eye away from us, so long as we go far away and never return." he explains.
Your mouth hung open, surprise written all over your face, you could hardly comprehend the words he was saying. "So..you want us to run away together?" you finally get out. Loki just grind widely at you "only if that is what you want, but yes" he admits. Tears have overcome you again "Loki, I couldn't possibly ask you to give up your whole life for me." you say.
He takes ahold of both your hands, places kisses on your knuckles. "If you were to marry Thor, I could withstand seeing you with him each and every day. I would have to leave, plus you know I've never felt at home here. If you were to leave with me, I promise to care for you each and everyday. But you must know, this would ruin you. You could never come back, all your titles would be denounced." he says, searching your face for an answer.
The answer was easy. You never wanted to be royalty, you especially never wanted to be queen of the nine realms. Your family signed you away for politics, and the only person you've had for the last year is Loki. "Okay...let's do it." you finally answer. Loki's whole face lit up, and he kissed you passionately.
"Are you sure darling? Are you sure you want to give everything up for me? Are you sure I'm worth ruining the life you know?" he ask. You smile at him and plant a kiss to the back of his hand. "You aren't the only one who is willing to ruin theirselves." you answer.

The Promise Of A King Pt. 2
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 2.2k
Warnings: none
Genre: I think fluff and a lil almost angst
Summary: When your parents surprise you with the news that you are going to marry one of Asgard's princes you're not exactly thrilled. It's not made any better by said prince giving you the cold shoulder from the very moment you arrive. Now, not only do you have to worry about acclimating to an unfamiliar place but you must do so while preparing to marry someone who seems to absolutely detest you before you've said five words to him. You know you're duty-bound but why does it have to be so difficult?
***
You sing quietly as you walk through the palace halls to your favorite room in the honestly too large building. The library. You push open the large heavy doors and skip over to one of the shelves to pick a book. The palace has one of the largest libraries you've ever seen and many of your days in the last couple of weeks have been spent here. You pick up a book on magic that's caught your eye, making it over to one of the large comfy armchairs near the unlit fireplace to read. You tuck your legs under you and flip the book open, prepared to spend most of the afternoon here. Some time passes and you're so immersed in the book you don't even notice the large doors opening and closing somewhere behind you.
"What are you doing here?" Loki frowns when he sees you.
"I'm here most days." You say flatly, not looking up from your book. He grumbles something under his breath that you don't catch as he continues further into the library. When Loki walks by the area you were sitting he notices you've left, the book you were reading is on the table next to your chair. If Loki's going to be in the library, you'll read later. You're on your way to the gardens when Thor shouts to you in the hall.
"Y/n!" You turn to face him when his voice booms.
"Oh, hello Thor. How are you?" You ask him.
"I'm wonderful! How are you?"
"I'm alright, I was just going to the gardens. Care to join me?" You ask.
"Ah, you know I would love to but I'm on my way out. I just needed to let you know that my mother and father have decided to officially announce your engagement to Loki with a ball tomorrow night." Thor says.
"Tomorrow night?" You blink at him.
"Yes, they figure it's time the people meet their new princess." He smiles.
"Oh- okay." You mutter.
"What is it?" Thor frowns.
"Well- it's just that, if Loki doesn't even like me- why would the people?" You drop your gaze to the floor.
"Don't be ridiculous, Loki is just a bit stubborn, you are absolutely lovely. I mean, I like you- so do my parents. Doesn't that mean Loki's the odd one out?"
"Perhaps but, he's the one I'm to marry. Won't the people find it odd when prince Loki clearly has no interest in his bride?"
"Well, personally I believe you're going to do great tomorrow but there's only one way to know for sure and that is to dive headfirst into it!" Thor says in an encouraging shout.
"You're so much more confident than I am." You muse with a chuckle.
"What can I say? I've grown to really like you in the last couple of weeks. You have garnered my full support."
"I really appreciate it, Thor. You have no idea how much your friendship has helped me since I've gotten here. With how icy your brother has been towards me it's nice to have someone who's so kind." You smile.
"My brother is- a confusing being. He's the god of mischief and though the people revere him as their prince and future king, he's, as I'm sure you've guessed, also feared. He has a tendency to speak harshly so the fact that he hardly speaks to you may be the kinder option."
"Speak harshly?"
"Yes, he's actually known for his silver tongue, and given that he's still coming to terms with your union, the silence is perhaps an attempt to avoid a harsh remark you don't deserve." Thor shrugs.
"I don't know much about prince Loki but- if he's known for being harsh, something tells me he wouldn't particularly care if I deserve whatever harsh things he wishes to say." You scoff.
"He might not but he listens to our mother who I'm sure insisted that he treat you respectfully while you're here."
"Maybe. Thank you for telling me about the ball tomorrow night. You said you had somewhere to be so I won't hold you longer. I'll be in the garden." You say.
"I'll see you at dinner!" Thor calls after you as you walk away.
"Of course!" You shout back over your shoulder. You're still worried about the whole thing but- with Thor in your corner, you might just make it through tomorrow's ball.
~*~*~
You glance at yourself in the large mirror in your room, taking in your appearance once more. Lily, Ella, and Anne have put you in a floor-length dress. The dress has a gold bodice, sheer gold sleeves, and a layered black skirt. Your shoes are gold as well, though they're barely visible under the dress. You nod at your reflection, satisfied with the chosen look. This dress is one of the ones that were left for you by Frigga in your closet and it's absolutely gorgeous, as is to be expected.
"You look amazing Lady y/n!" Anne gushes over your completed look for the evening.
"Well, I do have the most amazing servants helping me. Thank you so much girls." You smile at the three of them.
"You make it easy! Everything looks amazing on you." Lily says.
"You guys are so sweet. It makes me feel a bit better about tonight." You say.
"You have nothing to worry about Lady y/n." Lily tells you.
"Prince Thor says the same thing, but- I can't help but be nervous. What if they hate me?"
"Well, we like you. Everyone else is going to as well. How could they not?" Ella smiles as she puts the last pins in your hair.
"The same way prince Loki doesn't." You snort.
"Prince Loki will come around, he's never liked being told what to do and well, being told who to spend the rest of your life with is- a huge command." Lily says.
"I didn't ask for this either. I just wish he wouldn't act like any of this is my fault." You huff.
"I'm sure he'll get over it eventually. Don't let him discourage you." Ella says kindly. A knock on your door sends Anne shuffling over to it, looking at you for the okay before she opens the door.
"Officer Lycan! Good evening." You smile at the guard standing outside your door.
"Evening Lady y/n. I've been sent to escort you to the ball when you're ready to join the festivities." He says.
"Oh- well I'm ready, we can go now." You tell him, walking to the guard and taking his extended arm. You walk down the endless gold corridors until you reach a grand set of doors. Two guards push the large doors open and officer Lycan walks you all the way up to where the king and queen are sitting with Thor and Loki. The room is already full of people, talking and laughing as a band plays music.
"King Odin, Queen Frigga." You say with a curtsey when you get to them.
"Come up here my child. You look beautiful." She smiles at you as you step up towards them.
"Thank you Allmother." You smile kindly. The queen claps her hands, silencing the band and all the chatter in the room.
"Everyone! I want to formally thank you for joining us this evening as we officially welcome the betrothed of Prince Loki, Y/n Y/l/n, to Asgard." Queen Frigga announces. "Would you like to say something dear?" She asks you.
"Ah-"
"Go on child, say something. Let the people start to know you." King Odin encourages you before you can decline. With a gentle smile, you nod to him and prepare to address the full room.
"Hello everyone. I hadn't prepared to give a speech tonight. Asgard is- a gorgeous place. The king and queen have been most kind since I arrived. It's the highest honor to have such a lavish party thrown for me, I'm grateful of course and, you all have a kingdom that is easy to fall in love with. I can't wait to speak to all of you tonight. In the meantime, eat, dance enjoy yourselves please. I'd like to learn to party as Asgardians do." You smile brightly at the end of your impromptu speech as splatters of applause and cheers at your last line. Thor gently grabs your arm and tugs you close enough to speak in your ear as the band starts up again.
"That was brilliant y/n." Thor says.
"Do you think so?" You whisper back.
"Absolutely. It seems the crowd liked it too. Now go knock em dead." He smiles.
"Yes, time to mingle." You let out a breath. With a smile, you enter the crowd and begin to talk to various sets of people. You chat with couples and groups of friends, allies to the crown and diplomats, there are also many Asgardian subjects. Each conversation has a different result, though most of them have been positive thus far. Currently, you're chatting with a group of Asgardians.
"So, how long have you been here?" A woman named Isla asks you.
"I arrived almost a month ago now." You say kindly.
"I'm surprised they've chosen you to marry prince Loki since you aren't from here. You aren't right?" She muses.
"I'm not, yes, I'm from Alfheim." You tell the group.
"Really? That's so interesting. I mean, who wants an outsider sitting on the throne?" Another woman, Clary says. Her face is bright but the tone of her voice barely hides the judgment. You steel yourself against the stinging sound of a couple of people humming in agreement with her statement.
"The king and queen have been very helpful in getting me settled here and with how much of Asgard's history is tied into the history of the whole nine realms it has been wonderful to see it all in person. I hope to find my place here soon." You say.
"Have you ever even been here before?" Ailey, a third woman in this small group asks you.
"No actually, I've never left Alfheim before." You shake your head.
"Do you like it so far? Have you had a chance to see outside the palace walls?" A man named Colden asks with a kind smile.
"I haven't yet no, I've had lots to do in the palace so far."
"Well you have to visit the markets they're amazing and I mean there are tons of other things to see as well but the markets are a good place to start!" He smiles.
"I'll make sure to get out some." You chuckle.
"You've never even seen the kingdom and you plan to run it one day?" Isla snorts.
"Isla!" Colden hisses at her.
"Well I-"
"Lady y/n! There you are!" Thor rushes towards you before you can respond. The group all chorus their greetings to their prince when he joins you all.
"Yes, hi prince Thor." You smile at him.
"I've been looking for you everywhere!" He says.
"Oh sorry, I've been making my way around the room to talk with people."
"Well that will have to wait. Dance with me." Thor says excitedly.
"Oh I couldn't-"
"You said you want to party as Asgardians do yes? I'll show you how." Thor smiles.
"I'm not a dancer Thor." You shake your head.
"Nonsense! Anyone can dance. Come now, you aren't going to deny a request from the prince are you?" Thor winks at you cheekily.
"Alright alright. I'll dance with you." You relent, partially grateful for the escape from the judgy women you've been talking to anyway.
"Brilliant!" Thor says tugging you onto the dance floor. The song the band plays is lively as Thor takes your hands confidently. "All you have to do, is follow my lead." He says with a smile so bright his eyes are twinkling.
"I can do that." You smile. The band is playing an upbeat tune that has people dancing excitedly around the room and Thor pulls you quickly into the fray. Soon you're laughing so hard your cheeks hurt as Thor spins and whirls you around the room with the others.
"You're doing great!" Thor tells you, even his voice is barely loud enough to hear over the music and cheers.
"This is so much fun!" You tell him through your giggles.
"The way the Asgardians do!" He says back. When the song comes to an end you let Thor pull you from the floor as you catch your breath.
"That was amazing!" You pant out happily.
"I knew you'd enjoy it." He bolsters.
"Yes- Asgardians know how to have a good time." You smile.
"That we do. How's the mingling going?" Thor asks.
"Ah- mostly alright I think- reactions range from almost positive indifference to total disapproval. A few people seem to like me too. So I suppose it could be worse." You say with a small frown.
"Some people liking you is a good start. I think you'll have no problem winning over the others." Thor offers with his hand on your shoulder.
"I'm trying not to take it- personally but, if I'm going to be princess it would be nice to have the people's support."
"Of course, but this is only the first time they're meeting you. Not everyone will fall in love with you at first sight- even if they should." He winks.
"Perhaps. We'll see." You say.
"Come, let's have another dance." Thor suggests dragging you back to the floor as the band's song changes again. That's how the rest of the evening goes, you continue chatting with random partygoers between dances with Thor until eventually the festivities wind down and you're escorted back to your room feeling exhausted and barely satisfied. Loki didn't speak to you the whole night and the longer this goes on the more you wish you could just go home.
