I definitely did not see Tuuli's post on Finnish names for AC characters and decided that I had to try and give them Danish names. How could you possiblly think that, you must be out of your mind!

Well, now that that's out of the way, here are a few disclaimers. The Danish pronounciation system is so hopeless that I'm not even going to try to explain it. J is pronounced like the Y in You and Y is pronounced like the ü in German, same as in Finnish, and E is also pronounced like in Finnish, and it definitely is still pronounced at the end of names, and a lot of female names end like that.

One final thing before I list this. In Danish naming culture, there is no tradition of thinking of the meaning of a name, so I haven't done that either. I have mainly gone with what I think suits each character, of course considering a few things for some names. A lot of the ones I chose are based on what kind of personality I associate with the name, which means it relates to people I know IRL. However, the spelling might not always add up.

1 The way I see the name Julie, the pretty girl is always named Julie. Maybe it's because that's the Danish translation of the name Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet". Also, the fact that the two first letters in Julie and the two first letters in Yukiko are pronounced similarly might also have had something to do with my choice.

2 I don't remember the exact meaning of Kurahashi's name, Solveig, but I know that the name has something to do with the sun. That's why I picked that name for her. It has many ways of spelling. I think this one is the most common.

3 As for the name I chose for Nagisa, Sasha, for the longest time, I thought it was just a girls' name myself, that was until I was in my second year of high school and learned that a guy in the third year was named Sasha. I was considering Mai, because for one thing, Nagisa's Japanese voice actess is named that, and apparently it also works for boys these days. However, as I'm thinking it might just be a modern thing, I decided against it.

4 The name I picked for Hazama, Freja, came because I was thinking that it had to be something that she would dislike. For those who don't know, Freja is the Norse Goddess of love. I don't know about you, but I don't think Hazama would enjoy being named after anyone asociated with love.

5 Let's start with Irina's name, Irene. I don't know when I started connecting those two names, but they do sound similar. When I think of the name Irene, the first that comes to mind is a movie character from a series of Danish movies. The antagonist in all the movies is called Irene. In some ways, she and Irina share the same attitude, so I think the name works well because of that. Now, Irene has a crush on another character in these movies. HIs name is Erik, so in lack of anything better, I gave Karasuma that name.

6 For Gakushuu's name, I let myself inspire by Tuuli's Finnish name for him. I don't know why, but I associate the name with someone who feels a little too good for everyone else, even if the Aleksanders I've met are nothing like that.

RECAP: Breaking Benjamin at 98 Rockfest

The last time I saw Breaking Benjamin live was in 2007 as a 15 year old. It was such a pleasure to be able to see them perform again, 16 years later, to such a massive crowd at Amalie Arena. So many memories and feelings came bubbling to the surface as I watched their show and I’m sure it was the same for many people at 98 Rockfest that night. 

Breaking Benjamin has been around for a long time and certainly for many people like me, they helped get fans through some hard times growing up. They played a wonderful mix of songs that go all the way back to their first album. The crowd was singing in unison with the band and each other for the rest of the night. Breaking Benjamin had a unique VIP experience that I have not seen before. Fans had an on-stage VIP area where they had a dedicated space on either side of the drum set to rock out during the entire show. My favorite part of the show was when they invited a young fan with his toy guitar to jam out with them during the set. He didn’t just stay on stage for one song. He played his toy guitar next to the band for several songs. I’m sure that kid will remember that night for the rest of his life. 

Overall, I’m thrilled to have been able to see Breaking Benjamin once again and I can’t wait to catch them next time they’re in FL. Catch Breaking Benjamin on tour in the US this July to September with Disturbed.

The Durants spent the season trying to get by. Not that anyone knew, but the Durants had more debt than they wanted to admit. After a few bad business deals on Launce’s end, and five kids to feed, the family’s funds had dwindled quite a bit.

But they always put on a good front. Tabitha certainly didn’t want her kids to worry, and she didn’t need Yvette knowing their issues, since the old hag already hated her. Not that she’d ever tell Launce that.

For all Launce knew, their family got along great. The perfect picture of family, especially compared to the rest of Arkhelios

Luckily, the rest of the family seemed keen to help out. Although they’d be losing their oldest to college sooner rather than later, Ulyssa never seemed to mind helping out with the youngest members of the family.

Amelie of course, loved the attention.

Benjamin often times, preferred to play on his own though, which just made things easier on Ulyssa.

Palace Releases Engagement Portraits - Everything There Is to Know About the Royal Wedding

Two days ago, the world listen to HRH Crown Princess Margaret and Cristobal Leuchtenberg’s engagement interview. Today we get a look at their engagement portraits taken at Queen Alison’s Garden by HM Queen Sofia herself, who loves photography. Everyone is going crazy with the engaged couple, but what about the wedding? Where and when will it take place? and, Who is in charge of the event? Find out everything right here!

The Palace has just announce all the details of the wedding so far. Apparently, the event will take place at the Willow Creek Abbey which is already being prepared for the royal wedding. It seems the date is very close, since the Palace has also announced the wedding will be on June 27th! The invitations had already been sent to friends, family and foreign royal families. Since it is the wedding of the future Queen, many foreign monarchs or royals will be attending the event. But who will be in charge of this big celebration? Of course, the crown has created a royal wedding committee for this occassion and HRH Princess Isabella was chosen to be the head of the committee for her sister’s wedding. Yes! The third in line to the throne will be in charge of making almost every decision regarding the wedding of the Crown Princess and Cristobal. It seems the young Princess is working very hard on the event, since HRH is rumored to be already working day and night. We are sure HRH will do a great job. Now, we were told that everyone in the royal family wants to have a role in the wedding, but it seems not every Prince or Princess will be involved in the making of the event. TRH Prince Antony and Princess Emmanuelle won’t have an specific job like their siblings, but why? School! Their Royal Highnesses are way too busy to be involved in the organizing of their sister’s wedding. On the other hand, TRH Prince Andrew and Prince Benjamin will have big roles during the ceremony since Prince Andrew was chosen to be the best man and the little Prince will be part of the bridal party, so we will see little Prince Benjamin walking down the aisle behind his big sister. 

Who else will be part of the bridal party? We already know the Countess of Kapolei, aka Amalie Jones-Fisher will be the maid of honor, but it seems her son Milo Fisher-Jones will also be part of the bridal party. However, Milo is not the only godchil from the Crown Princess that will be walking down the aisle behind the Princess and the King. HRH Princess Mary and Lady Margaret Wellington from the United Kingdom of Windenburg and San Myshuno will be the flower girls at the wedding. The Crown Princess is very close to the little royals, so HRH has asked their parents for them to be part of the ceremony. Also being members of the bridal party are Miss Evangeline Turner-Armstrong, the Viscount and Viscountess of Willow Creek’s daughter and Mr. Joseph Hammond, the Earl and Countess of Willow Creek’s son. The six children will be walking down the aisle next to the Countess of Kapolei. This weekend, Princess Isabella will be visiting the Willow Creek Abbey to see what it needs to be repaired or replaced before the ceremony and to start planning the wedding schedule. Meanwhile, the Crown Princess and Cristobal will be hosting an engagement party for their close friends at their future residence, Hammond House. Some foreign royals close to the couple will be attending the private event as well as young members of the royal family. On the weekend the couple will be travelling to Oasis Springs to celebrate their engagament with Cristobal’s family. Apparently, HM Queen Natalia will be investing the Crown Princess in the Royal Order of Queen Elisa, the Queen’s grandmother. Rumor has it, Cristobal will be invested into a dukedom, although he won’t be given the HRH title back. It seems Queen Natalia wishes Cristobal to still carry something from the Oasis Springs monarchy, and Her Majesty is also planning on giving the couple’s future children royal titles as well. It seems Queen Natalia has brought peace between the two families with her reign.
