Forced Marriage
Tumblr media
part 1 part 2 plot: Plot: yn and Kylian parents arranged a marriage between them since they were kids as joke, when they grew up and was ready for marriage both of them couldn’t stand each other, how will this marriage work?
Pairing: Reader x Kylian
Genre: slightly angst in the beginning, mainly fluff
warning: none
words: 637
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Kylian kissed you you pushed him away and said “why would I forgive you?, as you said you have been an asshole to me, you left me when I needed you the most”. He looked you in the eye with a sad face and said “I know I fucked it up between us, you really didn’t deserve the way I treated you, you deserved more better but I promise if you give me another chance I will change and be better for you”. “I don’t want your words I want action after all actions speak louder than words show me that you changed and want me then I can consider it “ you said and turn and walked out.
You went on the date but you couldn’t enjoy it because of what happened before you left the house. Kylian words repeat it self in your head and you could concentrate on your date. After your date you went home and saw that Kylian had picked up your son and was cuddling with him on the couch. You couldn’t help but smile and when Kylian saw you he said “oh you’re back how did your date go?” You debated whether you should say the truth or lie “it went well but I don’t think I will see him again” you said and you saw Kylian smile after you said that. “Oh that’s sad why don’t you come and sit next to us and we can have family time” Kylian said. You smiled and said “sure let me first go and wash and change my clothes and I will come down” “D’accord, we will wait on you” he said.
After you were done you went down to the living room and sat down on the couch little further away from Kylian he looked at you and said “you can come and litte closer to me I won’t bite you”. You sat down next to him and he put his arms around you and brought you even closer to him. Then you spend your evening together watching movies and then you made dinner together.
1 years forward
Kylian and you got closer and closer to each other and he really changed for the better and became the man you truly deserved. You even redid your wedding but this time you did it with love for each other. After that Kylian started to show you more appreciation than before for everything you do for him and your kid. He also love how sweet you are with his brother and his niece and nephew. Also love how you and his mother get along and even how good friend you are with his sister in law. He even took you with him on every reward he had and you were always proud of him even when he wouldn’t get a trophy. Even when he would lose in a game he would always seek comfort in your arms especially when he lost World Cup. He was so sad and even then you told him “baby you were so good look you made a hat trick and won the golden boot” “baby I lost I should have scored more so we could have won” he said sobbing and buried his head in your neck.
~ 5 years forward
You and Kylian are still in love with each other. You also gave birth to a baby girl 2 years ago. Her name is Amalie and she is really a daddy’s girl. She loves Kylian more than anything else and they really have a special bond just like you with your son Julian. He is almost 7 years old now and he is the most positive person you know. You are also 7 months pregnant with a boy and you and Kylian can’t be any happier
The end
Worth the Wait
— a @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt - “Hour of Denial”
Characters: Kheel, Genli, Link, Amali, (background: Notts, Kotts, Cree.)
Set very vaguely after the Warbler’s Nest questline, and before Kass returns to Rito Village.
"This is taking forever," lamented Kheel, dropping her head on her wings and staring morosely at the stove in the centre of the communal kitchen. Her sisters had scattered back to their chores with the exception of Genli, who was fluttering at the scary-faced Hylian guy's heels while he washed up, asking question after question about the recipe he'd picked out: Wheat and butter and eggs and rich golden honey, and a strange blend of spices that even Mom hadn't recognised. It made the kitchen smell sooooo good, and waiting for it to be ready was taking so long. Surely one little sniff wouldn't be the end of the world...?
But when she sidled closer and laid a wing on the lid covering the pot, Genli let out a shriek and rushed over to bat her away. "No!" her middle sister shouted. "You can't lift the lid while it's still cooking, you'll ruin it!"
"It's almost been an hour," Kheel pointed out, aggrieved, but she dropped the argument when Genli puffed up her chest in preparation to holler. Genli could shout loudest of anyone when she put her mind to it.
Once satisfied that Kheel had backed off, Genli returned to pestering the Hylian swordsman. Kheel stared at the pot and counted down the minutes until the lid could be taken off.
Mom came into the kitchen just as Mr Swordsman picked up a hawthorn skewer. "Is it ready then, Link?" she asked, a smile lighting up her eyes.
Behind her, Notts and Kotts and Cree were all jostling for a better look, none of them wanting to be left out.
Mr Swordsman gave them one of his tiny closed-mouth smiles before gesturing for them all to stay back. He lifted the lid on the pot, and a rush of steam and scent came wafting out. Kheel tried to creep closer, though Mom noticed and put out a wing to stop her. Mom's other wing was on Genli's shoulder, holding her back too.
The swordsman pricked the pot's contents with the skewer, withdrew it, and studied it closely. Then he nodded to himself and gripped the sides of the pot, using a thick, padded piece of fabric to shield his hands as he lifted it down to the reed mat that protected the floor from scorching. With its lid off, Kheel caught a glimpse of the pot's contents and the strange sweet bread-cake the swordsman had opted to make. It looked almost as good as it smelled, and it smelled like the warming scent of pine cones on a hot fire in winter, a smell so wonderful that Kheel could just sit there sniffing it for hours and be content.
Genli darted out from under Mom's wing and tugged on the swordsman's arm. "Hey, hey, we can try it now, right?"
The swordsman's eyes did that little flickering thing. Mom chuffed a laugh and came to his rescue.
"Let it cool first," she said, over Genli's sound of frustration.
Notts and Kotts and Cree jostled forwards; they were chirping all the same questions Genli had asked earlier, so Kheel tuned them out -- until her middle sister's dismayed voice rose through the chatter: "Ehhhh? A day? We have to leave it for a day?"
The swordsman turned the sweet bread-cake onto a platter and put it up on a shelf, nodding a reply to Genli's question as he did so.
"Aww, but I was looking forward to trying it..."
He paused and glanced towards Kheel and her mom. It was really hard to tell what he was thinking, which was why Kheel used to find him kind of scary looking. Except now she was looking closer, the corner of his mouth twitched in a curious way, like he was trying to hold back a smile.
And then he picked that shiny blue thingy off his belt and tapped at its surface some, and from out of it he took a plate that was really, really similar to the one he'd just put up on the shelf...
Mom took the plate from him, which allowed Link his hands back. He spread them wide as if to say, Ta-da!
"Ah! You meanie!" Genli cried, but she was laughing too. "You already made one! Why didn't you say so?"
"Would you have enjoyed it as much if you didn't get to ask so many questions?" asked Mom, pointedly, and Genli huffed.
Between them, Mom and Link portioned up the bread-cake. It was smaller than the one he'd just made, only enough for a little piece each. Mom passed pieces of it around to Kheel and each of her sisters, who tucked in with gusto.
Kheel was slower to start, still distracted by the other bread-cake up on its shelf. Mom started asking questions about the recipe, particularly the reason why it needed to sit for longer, and Link answered her as best he could with a plate of his own balanced in one hand. Kheel didn't know what he was saying, but he and Mom were both smiling like she'd been in on the plot the whole time.
Maybe she had been!
But even if that swordsman was a big meanie sometimes, making them think they had to wait such a long time to try it, the cake really did taste good. It was worth waiting after all.
Chapter 2: Park Jimin who..?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The bookstore you’d grown to love so much. The pages, hiding secrets only some dare to know. The faint smell of coffee and pastries fill your senses. Glancing around, you decide to make a b-line to your favorite section in the whole small corner bookstore. Your coat, hugging tightly against your frame. Hot breaths of air reach the outside’s cold weather. You’d been falling in love with this place for almost two years now. The first time, you’d told google maps to take you to a shoe store near your apartment. It had autocorrected ‘shoe’ to ‘book’ and you decided to go with the flow.
That’s how you found yourself in this little corner store. The entrance, almost impossible to find without blueprints of the whole street. It was quiet, and never packed. Only really seeing a few locals you had grown quite close to. One, being the girl who stocks all of the shelves. Though, you hadn’t seen her around lately much because she went on vacation with her husband. She was a petite woman, modeling tiny black square glasses, and she had always dressed so nicely. Not, fancy per se. More on the conservative side. That’s what she said had drawn her husband to her in the first place.
Their story was quite amusing. She sat down with a cup of her famous black coffee order that had been basically ingrained in the back of your mind. One chilly winter day, you and her had sat down for what felt like hours, talking about why’d you come to France in the first place, and her life shared alongside her husband. She’d been promised her dream bookstore when they first started dating. One with the famous ‘belle-like’ library ladder, pressing a nice deep-golden color along each crevasse. Though the store had been titled in her husband’s name, they dub it ‘Amalie’s’.
The name suited her theme well Amalie, stemming from the French words ‘curious’
Soon after, they’d brought a little 9 pound 3 ounce bundle of joy into the family’s treasured lively hood.
Your fingers lightly brush against the novel’s worn and torn edges. Each and every one, had a beautiful tale held. Waiting for another to be pulled into their world.
Which should you choose?
“Hey, ____!” Amalie greets, while you scan the newly acquired selection.
“Bonjour Amélie!" You return her smile, walking over to greet Allie as well. She coos, a little baby spit dripping down her small lips.
“Oh goodness!” Amalie wipes her daughter’s mouth, laughing. “She’s been having issues with drooling. Never knew how much saliva babies ACTUALLY produce: She chuckles, sitting down in her oak rocking chair. Her husband, William, had been working on it ever since they’d found out Amalie was pregnant. His, Amalie’s, and Allie’s names are all engraved in the smooth wood, along with other decals representing their growing family.
“Where’s William today?” You ask, settling down in one of the two rocking chairs placed according to the fireplace. “Oh, him and that darn workshop of his! I swear, if you EVER decide to marry a carpenter, don’t.” You both laugh, sipping on the specific types of coffees you’d previously had helped Amalie make.
“It’s like ‘hey, my love, I think we need another nightstand’. No! No we do not, Will! We are already seven!” You giggle, legs crossed, while taking light sips of the hot goodness.
“Oh, and now I'm stuck with this little mini-will here~” She tickles Allie, sending the small child into a fit of giggles, cooing towards her mother.
“Aww, you know you love them both~” Amalie sighs, nodding at all she’s built and has. “I really do..” The ring of the front door sounds, you both arise to the sudden motions next to the store windows now.
“H..Hello?” A man calls, in what had to be broken english.
“Oh, ____ can you please help him? It’s time for Allie’s nap” You nod, letting Amalie go back up the stairs, leaving you to help the recently introduced man.
“Hi there! How can I help you?” You smile, taking notice of his unusual all black attire.
“Uh..I saw online that you..sell..” His sentence trails off, making you sport a questioning look. He soon pulls out his phone, typing away on the little device.
I read online that you sell some porn?
He quickly jumps, trying to shut the device up, constantly hitting random buttons. Which in turn, only makes the automated robotic voice repeat the question. Multiple times.
You laugh, leaning over the counter to stop his motions. “It’s okay..Here. I can show you where the ‘porn’ aisle is” You tease, leading him to the erotica/romance corner.
You notice how his hands clam against his black winter coat. Even though half of his face had been covered by a black mask, you could still tell by the tint of his cheeks that he’d been blushing.
“I..I’m sorry. I mean ‘Love’.” You nod, pointing to the whole bookshelf labeled Romance.
He leans closer to the little hand-written title, pronouncing it slowly as if trying to comprehend its meaning.
“L..Lomance?” You laugh, holding your stomach from his sudden child-likeness.
“Ro…mance” You point, guiding him in understanding the term.
His face lights up, hinting at the realization. “Ohhh. Thank You, Sir.”
This time, you couldn’t help but start bursting out. He immediately panics, wondering if he’d offended you somehow. You shake your hand, letting him know that you’re okay.
“n-no. See, I’m a girl.” You straighten up, showing him your (should be obvious) gender.
“Sir, it is for men.” He tilts his head, finally understanding. “Ohhh. I’m sorry, …uh..?”
“Ma’am.”
He nods. Your eyes meeting his dark chocolate-like swirly orbs.
“S..so..” He starts, trailing his hand along the spines of books, looking for a specific title.
“You’d call me sir?” He questions, stopping on a certain spiel. Squinting, your cheeks redden at the title.
‘Fifty Shades Of Grey: Darker’
“U..Uhm, Yea..Yeah. I’d call you..” Your words trail from your lips, his gaze too intense for your body to support its own weight. Did the room just get hotter??
~~~~~
“Sir?” A strange lady’s accent wakes him from slumber. Pulling the mask from his eyes, he adjusts his sights just in time to see a cute foreign blonde girl leaning over his curled body.
“We’ve just landed. The plane is starting to unboard.” Jimin nods, standing to stretch. His back pops in a certain rhythm. Thirteen hours away from everything. New people, new places.
This was going to be good for him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The busy streets help to distract him for the reason he’s decided to come here in the first place. It had been much less busy and cramped than Seoul. Roads being nothing but little pebble strips, leading to some other things on the sides of buildings. The weather had been perfect. Not too cold, not too hot. Everything felt just so…Normal.
Walking along the sides of streets, water bottle in hand, headphones on. Masks pulled high, even though covid had been so long ago. Were people still afraid?
“PARK JIMIN!!!” A high-pitched scream echoes through the whole strip, pulling him from his peaceful stroll. “Shit..” He curses under his breath, picking his pace up to get away from any and everyone he could. Every place was filled to the brim with people who could possibly be a fan.
Obviously, Jimin. Everyone knows who you are.
You’re Park Jimin of BTS.
You’ll never be normal.
He walks even faster, almost in a sprint now. Pausing, he stops to look around for some kind of shelter. Everything was in a language he didn’t know. The yells and screams grow closer to his residing place.
Think, idiot.
 Different, unique symbols fill his sights. Nothing looks even remotely to anything he’s seen before.
Except..
‘Amalie’s’.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first thing that he sees is two petite women chatting in the corner near an inviting fireplace. One, baby in hand. The other, he’d never seen someone so..
Beautiful.
Her rosy cheeks, hidden by a smidge courtesy of her white fluffy turtleneck. A small, gold piece of jewelry dangles from her neck. A midi skirt set at waist length encases her figure, accentuating everything about this alluring woman, perfectly. Black victorian-like shoes wrap her feet so tightly, almost as if they had been velvet.
Everything about her was just so..
“Hi! How can I help you?” Her sweet voice echoes through the shushed store.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“U..Uhm, Yea..Yeah. I’d call you..” Your words trail from your lips, his gaze too intense for your body to support its own weight. He chuckles, treading his hand lightly to wrap his slender fingers around his chosen title. Eyes, having never left the almost death-like stare he’d been sending you.
“It’s okay.” He proceeds to walk back over to the counter, turning around, waiting for your stunned figure to move along.
“Y..yeah. Uhm, sorry about that..” He nods, the coffee shop smell mixing with his own vanilla-lavender combo. You scan the book, wrapping it neatly in some decorated paper for the upcoming holidays.
“Thirty-nine.” He nods, sliding a black card into your palm.
You quickly ring him up, handing the card back over once you’re finished. You carefully place the item into a brown paper bag, embroidered with Amalie’s store logo.
“Thank You” He says, while walking over to the coffee shop area. You’re confused. As if he senses your confusion, he turns around, sitting down in the rocking chair you’d originally occupied while talking with Amalie.
“I’d like to read my book here, if that’s okay?” He questions, settling into the comfy seat.
“Yeah, that’s fine..” You walk over to unbox the new releases.
“Can I get a cappuccino, please?” You nod, pausing your current task to make your way over to the coffee bar, starting on his order.
“So..” He trails, as the sound of a soft page turn fills the silence.
“Do you actually work here?” His question halts you.
“How’d you know?” You hand him the hot porcelain cup.
“Thank You.” He mutters softly, pulling his mask down to take a sip as you walk back over to continue unpacking.
“Just because…You don’t wear name..thing.” He chuckles, placing his beverage on the glass side table.
“I’m friends with the owner. She’s putting her baby down for a nap.” He nods, taking a glance at the roaring fire.
“So..” He begins once more.
“What is your job?” You stop, walking over to sit down across from him, bringing the boxes over to continue there. Apparently, he was a chatty one. So, you’ll have to do this a little closer.
“I’m a writer for articles around town.” He hums, finally removing his mask completely, setting it off to the side.
“That’s cool..” The silence fills in once more. “What do you write about?”
You glance up, “Just…things happening in Paris. You know…stories.”
“Hmm,” He takes a sip of his cappuccino while flipping to another page.
“Well..What do you do?” He raises an eyebrow, catching your gaze, lowering the cup down to reveal a white cream line on his upper lip. You giggle, trying to hold back your laughter.
He smiles. “What?”
“Y..you have something..” You wipe his upper lip. “Ah. Thank You, Love” The nickname makes you pause.
“W..what?..” He looks over, seeing your flustered state.
“Did I say something?” He leans up, studying your features.
“That’s…That’s not for people who just met..”
“Ah. Why not?”
“It’s just not..” He hums, folding his arms against his chest.
“Well… What should I name you?” The funny wording makes you chuckle at his broken English. He joins soon after.
“What’s so funny?”
“I’m sorry..You’re just- Your accent is unique.” that brings a shy smile to his face.
“Thank you..I watched a lot of movies on the plane.”
“Mmm. makes sense.”
“Mhm.”
There’s that stupid silence again.
He places his book on the opposite glass table, leaning forward to catch your glances from him to the fireplace. “So what was bad about me calling you love?”
You choke on your water, setting you into a fit of coughs before holding your composure again.
“It’s just..that’s for people who are…you know..” He tilts his head at your flustered self.
“Well..I said it because I think you’re lovely.” A small blush is still making its way to your cheeks.
“And..” he continues, scooting the chair closer to you, knees now touching each other.
“You’re really pretty..”
STUPID FACE CALM DOWN IT’S JUST A WORD-
“Are you okay?” He moves his hand to feel your forehead, as if checking your temperature. You flinch, quickly scooting back.
“Yeah I’m fine..Just a little hot is all.” You can see a sly smirk tugs the corner of his lips.
“Very.” Your eyes meet once again. This time, both sending different vibes to one another. Breaths, magically seeming to align. Heart, feeling as if it’s about to explode. Lips barely visible to the unknowers.
“Alright ____ Did you want to help with making cooki- Woah!” Amalie’s sudden entrance makes both of you jump back.
“Ohhh Well don’t mind me you two~” She winks your way, while making a cup of her famous black americano.
You’re a stuttering mess. The man doesn’t understand anything you’re so desperately trying to convince Amalie with. Mainly because it isn’t his language.
“It’s alright ____, At least now you could finally lose your virg-”You throw one of Allie’s stuffed animals towards her which she quickly dodges. Sending the man into a fit of laughter. The three of you round up the little session with a bunch of giggles before sending the man (who you now knew of as Jimin) off back into the world. Locking the door, you walk back over to Amalie, a smirk plastering her lips.
“So, Jimin ay?” She wiggles her eyebrows suggestively towards you.
“Shut it” you retort, flinging a throw pillow her way.

Here it is ladies! A list of female biographies! Highly anticipated by nobody but myself! This took a long time, so I hope it might be enjoyable to at least some people. I'll add to this whenever I feel like it. A few things before I begin:
1. The list is (roughly) organized alphabetically by the subjects last name.
2. The subjects occupation (if they had one) will be labeled with a corresponding symbol (i.e. painter = 🎨, writer =✏️, and so on and so forth). Books about same sex attracted women (lesbian or bi women) and women of color are labeled. Occupations that cannot be easily represented by symbols will simply be stated.
3. Biographies written or co-written by men will have with 🧔 after their names.
4. The subjects full birth name will be in brackets after the title.
5. If you're curious about a book and want more information or content warnings, please message me. I'll help as best I can.

The University of the Virgin Islands (or UVI) is a public, HBCU in the US Virgin Islands.
UVI was founded as the College of the Virgin Islands on March 16, 1962. In 1986, it officially became one of the 117 (now 101) U.S. HBCU. The institution changed its name in 1986 to the University of the Virgin Islands to reflect the growth and diversification of its academic curriculum, research programs, and regional community services.
The university has two campuses and two extension facilities. The 388-acre campus opened in 1963 on St. Thomas, at the time named College of the Virgin Islands. The Albert A. Sheen campus is on St. Croix. The extensions include an academic center and an environmental research facility, both on St. John. The St. Croix campus is located on Estate Golden Grove in mid-island. The latter campus is three miles from Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the territory. The St. Thomas campus is situated on two hills and it has a beach that can be directly accessed off the main road which cuts through the campus. The majority of the buildings on the St. Thomas campus are made of volcanic rock and cement. This makes the campus not only aesthetically pleasing but it improves the structural integrity of the structures as the US Virgin Islands are known for experiencing very active hurricane seasons. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence #hbcu

Jake Paul enjoys a first-round knockout in return bout in Orlando

Jake Paul knocks out Andre August in the first-round
Orlando, Fla. - At the Caribe Royale Resort, the man people love to hate, Jake Paul (8-1, 5 KOs), returned to the squared circle in front of a sold-out crowd. The famous social media influencer entertained his loyal fans in attendance, dancing to the ring to Brenda Lee's 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree.' Right behind him, there was a giant robot humanoid waving to the crowd.
But this turned out to be just the appetizer as Paul delivered another stunning knockout inside the ring.
Paul's opponent, Andre August (10-2-1, 5 KOs), is a three-time Golden Gloves champion, and the Houston, Texas native is the second boxer Paul has faced. August wasn't a former mixed martial artist, fellow YouTube star, or a former NBA player. He has been a professional boxer since 2013. Although almost ten years older than Paul at 35, August was thought to be able to at least test the loquacious star's skillset, however long the fight lasted.
Unfortunately for August, but to the excitement of the crowd in attendance, Paul secured a highlight-reel first-round knockout. After a tense few minutes, filled with counter-punching and jab exchanges, Paul picked up on August's tendency to duck before throwing. A feint by Paul set up a right uppercut that firmly put August down for the count. No count was needed.
Paul's previous knockout came in December 2021 in a rematch with Tyron Woodley at the Amalie Arena in Tampa. Since then, he has gone the distance against the likes of Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Tommy Fury. August was likely picked for a reason, and the victory shouldn't be overly celebrated. However, Paul is showing steady improvements with each outing, and a title opportunity could come sooner than later.
"Man, I don't know what I proved tonight," Paul expressed in the ring during the post-fight interview with Ariel Helwani. "I'm just gonna do me. This is all part of the process, the next step to world champion. And clearly these guys can't hang with me. He didn't even last [three] minutes. He's been doing this his whole entire life. So, what's next? It's gonna be even bigger."
Paul is one of the few fighters in the sport who is able to navigate the direction his career takes. His fights can be purely events or real showdowns that test where he lies within his respective division should he choose. With a majority of boxing's top fighters, including box office attractions and the pound-for-pound elite, fighting just once or twice a year at the most, Paul staying active is only to the benefit of the sport.
Franchon Crews-Dezurn wins the vacant WBC super middleweight championship
In the night’s co-main event, Shadasia Green (13-1, 11 KOs) battled former undisputed super middleweight champion Franchon Crews-Dezurnn (9-2, 2 KOs). The bout was for the vacant WBC super middleweight title. Green came out to wrestling legend The Undertaker’s theme music but did not fight with a sense of urgency. Crews-Dezurn used her championship-level experience to outwork Green in most of the rounds. The Baltimore native was an underdog against Green, who was considered the bigger puncher.
All three judges scored the fight for Crews-Dezurn with scores of 98-92 and 97-93 twice.
