“Are you ready?” Victoria asks gently as she hands you the burner phone

She and James present a comforting aura as they sit beside you on the dingy motel floor. Victoria holds your hand gently while James has an arm around you

“Yes” you answer nervously as you look at the phone in your hands, a simple old fashioned burner phone

“Remember, sound like your distressed” Victoria asks as she plays with your hair calmingly

“You’ll do great” James says as he gives you a comforting kiss on the forehead, similar to the actions of an older brother or a father

You nod as you flip the phone open and you punch in Carlisles number, with every number you feel the anxiety build up.

“Hello?” Carlisle answers after a few rings

“Carlisle?” You whisper into the phone

“Is that you sweetheart?” Carlisle asks with what sounds like worry but you doubt it

“Carlisle you need to leave” you say as you force my voice to become shaky and uneven

“Where are you?” Carlisle asks sternly “where did this monsters take you?”

“Carlisle you need to get Bella out of there” you say into the phone, trying to sound as panicked as possible

“What’s going on?” He asks sternly

“There going to kill her” you say into the phone, going along with the plan “you need to get Bella somewhere safe, James is hunting her”

“Where are you?” Carlisle asks again

“I don’t have much time” you lie into the phone “just get Bella somewhere safe, please dad”

“Wait-“ you hang up on Carlisle and you let out a shaky sigh of breath that you no longer need to breathe

“You did amazing” Victoria exclaims as she brings you into a hug

“Now all you have to do is wait at the ballot school” James says with a proud smile “me and the others will pick off the Cullens and then I’ll leave you with that sick bastard”

“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” You whisper quietly, anxiety of losing the people you’ve grown to love so quickly rising to through your heart

“Nothing will happen to us” James reassures as he pats your head gently with a smile “I promise”

“Hello?” Bella swan answers the phone while she hides in the hotel bathroom, away from jasper and Alice

Edward went into a frenzy after the call from you. He summoned the family as they separated to protect her. Your plan was working

She was brought to a hotel outside of forks for her own protection. They told her she was being hunted by the rogue vampires

“It’s pretty scary being hunted huh?” James’s voice rings through the phone and Bella feels fear enter her body

“What do you want?” She asks in fear

“I want to know if your a good person, miss swan” James says with a chuckle

“What do you mean?” Bella asks confused

“Well, would you sacrifice your life for another?” James asks “would you let me drink from you if it saved something precious to the Cullens”

A realisation hits Bella as she feels anxiety creep up her spine. An image of you flashes to the front of her mind

“What are you going to do to her?” Bella asks anxiously

“That all depends on you” James says as he lets out a laugh “are you willing to sacrifice your life for hers?”

“I’ll give you what you want, just don’t hurt her” Bella pleads, she’d only known you a few months but she knew the Cullens would never forgive her if she let you be killed

“Meet me at your old ballet school, alone” James commands “if I see one Cullen out there, me and Victoria will tear the baby bat limb from limb”

“O-okay” Bella agrees hesitantly and the phone hangs up, she needed to find away to get away from jasper and Alice.

“Shut up” he says as he playfully ruffles your hair “are you all set for the plan?”

“Yep, Laurent and Victoria should be ready to take down Alice and Rosalie” you say as you lean against the multiple mirrors “and all we have to do is wait for Bella so you can drain her and then the rest follow suit”

“Are you ready to take on Carlisle?” James asks as he leans next to you

“I think so” you say nervously “what if I can’t kill him?”

“I’ve got your back kid” James reassures with a smile “after this, we’ll find you a mate and you can be apart of our clan”

“Do I have to find a mate?” You ask as you scrunch my nose up in disgust

“Why do you look so grossed out?” James laughs

“Well having a mate means I’ll have to meet another vampire” you say as you look at my shoes “what if that vampire is like the Cullens?”

“I used to think like that, before I met vic” James admits with a sigh “but you can’t live in fear because of those sick bastards, don’t let them ruin another part of your life”

“What’s having a mate like?” You ask curiously

“Well, it’s hard to explain” James says uncertainly “it’s like… we’ll…. Being whole?”

“Like they complete you?” You try and understand

“Sorta” James says with a huff “having vic with me everyday, I feel like I’m in heaven. Without her I feel incomplete”

You nod as you listen carefully to his words before looking at the large clock at the top of the wall

“Shouldn’t Bella be here by now?” You ask curiously

“She’s probably just trying to get away from the Cullens” James excused “she’ll be here any minute now”

You nod before James phone rings, the caller ID shows it’s Victoria.

“Probably calling to tell us that the women are dealt with” James says with a smile as he answers the phone “should we prepare a victory feast babe?”

“JAMES, James you need to get out of there” Victoria yells into the phone

“What happened?” James asks concerned

“Laurent told the Cullens our plan” Victoria yells into the phone, you feel your heart gently break at the realisation that Laurent had betrayed you “you have to yourself and the baby bat out of there now”

“Where should we meet you” James asks quickly into the phone as he begins to gather his things

“They’re coming!” Victoria yells into the phone again before it’s hung up

“Shit” James whispers under his breath as he grabs your hand and looks around for the exit but is interrupted

The sound of firm footsteps along the marble floors stops the both of you in your tracks. You both look up to see Carlisle standing at the centre of the entrance with a smug smirk spread across his face.

“Seems like you have something that belongs to me” he calls out to James as he moves closer

“Your a sick bastard” James yells as he covers your body with his “and people call me a monster”

“I’m not a monster” Carlisle growls out “I’m a worried father”

Jasper and emmet jump down from the ceiling behind us. James swings around with you in tow and fights against jasper who attempts to grab you.

While James is busy, emmett attempts to grab you but you remember James’s lesson, so you turn back and you punch him square in the nose before using your foot to kick him in his stomach and push him back.

Emmett grunts in pain and tries to tackle you but you swiftly dodge by using the techniques Victoria taught you. He tried again to tackle you but you jump above him and you use his back as a spring board to launch yourself at jasper.

James ducks as your leg swings through the air and eventually makes contact with jaspers face. As jasper falls back, emmett launches himself and James and catches him by surprise.

Emmett pushes James against the pillar and punches him in the face. You attempt to high kick Emmett in the back of his head but your attempt is foiled when jasper grasps your leg and throws you to the crouch.

You attempt to get back up but jasper pins you to the ground by the shoulders and hisses aggressively in your face.

James yells as he grasps Emmett shoulders and pushes back until Emmett is on the ground. James is about to get jasper away from you but is stopped when Carlisle attacks him behind and knocks him down.

Carlisle pins James to the floor near you before calling Emmett over to take over. After he switches places with Emmett, Carlisle walks over and crouches in front of you.

“Looks like someone learnt how to fight” Carlisle muses as he pulls your hair to make you look up at him “have fun on your little trip?”

“Fuck you” you spit at him with a glare

Carlisle just lets out a sigh before pulling your face up by the hair and smashing it into the ground hard enough for the marble floor to crack

“You never learn” he sighs out “now you’ve got to pay the price”

“Get away from her” James calls out in pain as Emmett increases the pressure of his hold

“And as for you” Carlisle says with fake cheer as he turns to James “you took my daughter away for weeks”

“And she was safer with my clan than she ever was with you” he growls back “you abusive fuck”

“She was never in your pathetic clan” Emmett growls “she belongs to us”

“I think it’s time for the punishment” Carlisle says as he rises to his full height and helps Emmett drag James up into a kneeling position

“No!” You exclaim as you realise what’s happening “James, no!”

“It’s okay kid” he calls out to you as the realisation hits him and he squirms in their hold before stopping and accepting the situation

“No James” you yell as tears build in your eyes “fight back James”

“Victoria will take care of you” he whispers as he closes his eyes and bares his neck “she’ll help you”

“Please James” you plead as tears stream down your cheeks “please”

“Fight back kid” was the last thing James said before his head was forcefully removed from his body by Carlisle as Emmett holds his body upright.

You let out a piercing scream at the sight as James headless body slumped against the marble floor. Carlisle holds his head mockingly in front of your sobbing face

“Wanna give him a kiss goodbye” jasper snickers out from behind you

Carlisle throws James head in a fire that Emmett lit before James’s body followed shortly after. Jasper let go of you as you sobbed in front of the fire

For a moment, you think about running into the flames and joining James.

“Use your anger” James voice rings in your mind as you hear the cruel laughter of the Cullen men from behind you “keep fighting kid”

You stand to your feet as your hair covers your tear streaked face. You slowly turn towards Carlisle who only looks amused at your sudden bravery.

“Something the matter, sweet girl?” He asks mockingly as your brothers snicker

“You son of a Bitch” you whisper out as you move closer, your brothers go to hold you back but Carlisle stops them with a raise of his hand

“This was the big plan wasn’t it?” He asks with a chuckle “you were going to be the one to kill me”

“And I would have loved every moment of it” you spit out with venom

“So try it” Carlisle says with a laugh “try and Jill me”

You stare at him in shock and you halt your movements for a moment.

“Tell you what” Carlisle looks at you with a smug smirk “kill me and you’ll be free, no one will come after you again”

That’s all the motivation you need as you launch yourself forward with violent intent. You go to punch Carlisle but he grabs you first and twists it.

You let out a grunt of pain but you use the moment of distraction to sweep his feet from under him and he falls to the ground. He pulls you with him and you fall on top of him but you use it to your advantage as you wrap your hand around his throat.

You let your claws extend and dig into his skin which creates cracks in his skin, like splintering wood. He growls before switching the position and he pins you beneath him on the marble floor by holding your arms

“Wanna know when I figured out it was a trap?” Carlisle asks mockingly

“When Laurent told you” you guess as you grunt in pain when his grip tightens on your wrist

“Nope, not then” Carlisle laughs “it was when you called me dad in the phone”

You look at him in confusion before pain takes over your features when you feel your skin around your wrist begin to crack from his hard hold

“Never in your hundreds of years of existence have you ever called me dad without me forcing you” Carlisle laughs before pulling a disappointed expression “such a shame it was under these circumstances”

You scream in pain as you feel your hand begin to disconnect from your wrist. The skin breaking away like broken wood before it completely comes off and Carlisle is holding the hand that is now separated from your body in front of you mockingly. You sob from a mixture of pain and fear.

“Oh no, don’t worry” Carlisle says with faux concern “it’ll reattach in a few days, just like the rest of your limbs will”

That makes you sob harder as you as you see the women of your clan enter the scene with fierce glares as they look upon your pitiful state.

“Victoria will come for me” you whisper to yourself before screaming as Carlisle removes your other hand as if you were a barbie doll

“That red headed whore took off running the moment she realised we knew” Edward chuckled as he looks down at you as you scream in pain as Carlisle begins to tug at your leg violently “she won’t help you”

“Look how they dressed my baby” esme cry’s as she kneels in front of you and motions to the green dress you were wearing that Victoria helped you pick “like a common whore, it suitable for a girl of your age”

“Now now” Carlisle says as he finishes his torture and goes to caress your face harshly “our girls home now”

“And she’s never leaving again” he adds as he chuckled evilly

You look up the ceiling as you dismembered limbs scream and throb in pain. Tears roll down your cheeks at your families cruel laughter

you probably met sometime at school, it was probably a Bella swan situation, if you weren't the new girl then it was some action that caused him to become obsessed with you.

when he first began having these feelings he kept his distance not knowing what to think of them. he eventually decided to embrace them since he couldn't stand being away from you

at school he would silently watch from afar, or offer to be your partner during the classes you have together. at night he would sneak into your room as you slept.

sometimes when he was doing his nightly visits he would take random items from your room.

bracelet you wore to school the other day? gone.

old nail polish that you wear often? gone.

random shirt that was at the bottom of your dresser? gone.

man's got a whole collection of your things in his room.

i dont think he'd tell his family about his obsession with you, Alice would probably figure it out through visions, and jasper would feel Edwards emotions when he sees you. but i dont think they'd tell the rest of the family as long as Edward didn't put you in danger.

eventually he does talk to you, befriending you before finally asking you out. he may be obsessed but boys still old fashioned so you can expect him to show up at your door with flowers on your first date.

when you start dating i think he'd begin to show his more possessive side. for example if you talked to any boys besides ones in his or your family, he'd silently glare until they left. I dont think he'd kill anyone because he doesn't want you thinking he's a monster.

if one day you ever did try to break up with him he would be devastated, he would beg for you to reconsider. if you do then he'll be a happy vamp. if you dont then he'll do what he has to in order to keep you. even if it means kidnapping.

he'd most likely take you to a cabin in the woods, probably far away from forks since he doesn't need his family trying to take you away.

honestly life with him wouldn't be bad, whenever you needed something he would run and get it, he would do activities with you so you wouldn't get bored, even let you keep your phone. (he took the sim card out so you cant call or text)

even though he wants you to live a human life, his selfish desires over power him and he well turn you.

he'll feel horrible about it, and call himself a monster but deep down he'd rather be called a monster then spend a day without you.

Very random, but the Volterra scenes in New Moon were soo iconic! Ughh, I love the Volturi! I wished they had more screen time in general.

Especially my boy Demetri, fuck he's hot! I know he has like five lines in total but he should've had more. He has such a suave, deep, rich voice. And the way he carries himself??? On my knees bro. 🛐🛐🛐

When he's escorting Bella, Edward, and Alice from their meeting with Aro, we see Heidi bringing in the tourists - the way he whispers his lines....UGHHH!!! "Nice fishing Heidi." and "Save some for me!" with the obvious hunger in his voice... Like, come on! 😩😩

This was always so funny to me. The way he stares at Edward while opera is playing in the back, bye!

Why did they cut this scene? The Volturi were supposed to be the big baddies of the series who kill and use humans all the time but besides that one quick scene in New Moon, we don't really see them killing humans.

You and Jasper met at school. Honestly, you probably thought him and his family were really weird at first I don’t blame you at all.

He probably tries to stay away from you at first, scared he’ll hurt you. He’s still not got his whole blood lust thing under control so he’ll definitely try to distance himself.

When he figures out you’re his mate, he’s very exasperated. He just got over his urge to kill Bella and now his mate is a human, too?

It definitely makes him work harder to control his blood lust. He wouldn’t approach you until he was absolutely sure he had it under control.

When he does approach you, he’s very sweet and patient.

Jasper is such a gentleman !!

He definitely follows the sidewalk rule, letting you walk on the inside, away from any traffic.

He introduces you to his family fairly quickly. They’ve heard all about you anyway.

Carlisle and Esme are very welcoming and excited to meet you. They love when their kids bring home new partners.

Emmett is so fucking excited. He loves meeting new people and you seem so cool. He’d do everything he could to make you feel comfortable and at home with the Cullens.

Alice is also very very excited. She’s absolutely sure the two of you will be best friends. She’s a little over eager sometimes but she has the best intentions.

Rosalie is definitely the least welcoming, treating you the same way she treated Bella. Eventually, she comes around. She actually really likes you, she’s just a bit jealous of you.

Edward and Bella are, well, Edward and Bella. They seem excited to meet you but you’re honestly not sure.

Overall, the Cullens love you and would protect you with their lives, especially if they feel like you’re in real danger.

Jasper is really thankful that you get along so well with his family. It makes it a lot easier to tell you their secret.

He doesn’t tell you right away. He lets you warm up to his family and get to know everyone. He’d tell you around six months into your relationship.

By that point, you obviously have your suspicions. They’re all freezing cold the touch, they don’t have family dinners, they’re never out in the sunlight, and they think thunderstorms are baseball weather??

Jasper gives you a way out immediately. He swears that none of them would think badly of you if you chose to stop coming around.

Obviously, you don’t. You love the Cullens and know that they would never hurt you.

Jasper doesn’t mind turning you. He just wants to make sure that you’re completely sure before he does. He makes you do a pros and cons list before coming to a decision.

He obviously wants to be with you forever, but if you’re not up for it, he gets it. He wouldn’t pressure you to change your mind.

If you do want him to turn you, he’d definitely be nervous. He may even let Carlisle do it.

He never, ever wants to hurt you.

Jasper loves when you read to him. He doesn’t like to read a lot himself but listening to you talk is one of his favorite things.

He’s also still a little old fashioned. He wants to marry you before you sleep together and he’ll definitely ask your parents before he proposes.

He’s very nervous meeting your parents. He hasn’t had to do something like that in like a century so it’s very nerve wracking for him. Plus, he knows his family has an odd reputation around Forks.

Your parents would love him. He’s polite and courteous the entire time and he makes a really good impression.

He really loves you and he absolutely wants to spend the rest of his life by your side.

Hi! Not a request, but more of a question. If you had to change something about vampire Bella, what would you change? For me, I'd make her struggle with the bloodlust (considering she actually had to drink human blood while pregnant) and might make her keep her human style (aka be more of a tomboy... Never liked Alice's weird disregard for her comfort in terms of fashion).

I'd change more things too, like, hairstyle (I like short-haired Bella, it just fits y'know?)

This is such a cool question!

I love when characters in movies get makeovers, but something about Bella's didn't make sense. Like she had been waiting to be feminine all along and all it took was to become a vampire?

I think she's absolutely stunning in the first two movies, Eclipse ... you could tell her wig was awful.

Anway, to your question-

・I would love to see her struggle with bloodlust! The Cullen's perspective on 'no humans whatsoever' is dumb. Just feed from criminals? And bad guys? I mean Edward can read minds, just get him to see whose intention is to hurt someone and eat them?

・Also, Alice is supposed to be this fashion guru, but Bella's clothes suck...

I guess it's very 2010s, but they've been alive for how long?

So I would completely change Vampire Bella's wardrobe. Although I do kinda like her human outfits. They reflect her personality so well... it's iconic.

・I'd also change her eyebrows... but her make up over all is great.

・I do love her long hair, so maybe she could start off with short hair when she's human? And after the change, she's like "nah I liked my short hair" and she just chops it off. But how short are we talking? Like a bob? Pixie?

・Vamp-wise, I would've taken away her conscience. But I guess that would take it from being a teen movie, to an adult movie.

・Plot-wise, no pregnancy, no Renesmatic. Maybe Rosalie and Bella team up as vampires and go around killing guys like the ones in the first movie.

・I also think I would have the cullens not be in high school ... it's so weird when you think about it. Especially to do with the plot. Like ... you have superhuman strength, speed, and smell. So you're gonna go to high school?

・Like imagine Bella moving to Forks, and the Cullens/Hales work in the hospital, or the library, or build houses, and Bella is a witch with incredible intuition.

・I would never change anything about Charlie though. He's perfect.

・OH and the soundtrack is incredible and I would never change it ever.

・But now I want to go down a rabbit hole and tell you everything I would change but it would be such a rant. So I'll leave you with this!

If every vampire is physically as close as possible to how they were as humans the moment that they died except for injuries and wounds, how would Bella and Edward look when venom made them pretty? Both were emaciated and on the verge of death so in such a scenario neither would have "rocking supermodel" bodies. What about other vampires who turned when they were ill or otherwise compromised?

I mean I guess best-case scenario is the ‘heroin chic’ of the 90s:

Heroin chic was a style popularized in early-1990s fashion and characterized by pale skin, dark circles underneath the eyes, emaciated features, androgyny and stringy hair (x)

That . . . that might match up with what Edward and Bella would realistically look like frozen as they were when they “died.” Heck, it’s pretty close to SM’s description of vampires generally, other than she gives them glorious hair and keeps her descriptions very gendered, making most of her male vampires muscular if not buff. But pale skin, dark circles under the eyes? Very Twilight vamp. 

Esme was a few days post-partum and was frozen with a “rounded and soft” body in comparison to other female vampires because of it. Bella was being starved by her pregnancy, but her belly was also stretched way out VERY quickly because of Renesmee’s speed growth. Not sure how that would end up looking ‘frozen’ as is. 

The jarring thing is that this IS what canonically happened with Alice! She was mistreated and malnourished in the asylum, she had had her hair shaved short, and that’s . . . what she looks like as a vampire. She’s “thin in the extreme” and her hair is very short and ‘sticking out in all directions’ because it was just growing back. But Bella isn’t described that way by Jenks’ assistant, rather she looks like a freaking supermodel and has a rocking body, pale as a sheet, dark brown hair almost to her waist, needs a good night's sleep. (speaking of contrived, this whole bit felt like just an excuse to get some outside observer to marvel at how gorgeous vampire!Bella is). I guess “supermodel” could equal ‘emaciated’ but ‘rocking body’ implied to me a more classically feminine body shape than emaciated androgyny. 

I think most other vampires died in reasonable health and had more immediate injuries that “killed” them, or died by vampire violence. Jane and Alec were burned at the stake; I imagine the venom would heal the burn damage but it’s possible they weren’t in great physical health if they were imprisoned for any length of time before the burning.

Oop okay. I have not read the last 2 in years but I reread them enough to remember lol.

Twilight:

THE BLOOD TYPING SCENE!! Oh my gaaaaawd when I tell you I was so pissed they left that out the movie. I will never forget how blushy I was and how much I was kicking my legs during that scene it's not even funny.

The movie did it justice but my brain was irrevocably (hehe) altered when he saved her from getting killed in the parking lot

Really just the introductions of the cullens in general? I'm pretty vocal about the fact that I would've changed some of the casting and the movie did not do their introductions justice at all. I stared because their faces, so different, so similar, were all devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful. They were faces you never expected to see except perhaps on the airbrushed pages of a fashion magazine. Or painted by an old master as the face of an angel. It was hard to decide who was the most beautiful – maybe the perfect blond girl, or the bronze-haired boy. Liiiike I'm sorry but the movie fell so flat with that. Bella was beyond observant and they allowed an internal monologue for just about everything else so why not this?

Their trek to the meadow omg I swoon! Them hiking up to the meadow was a whole scene! Literally filled pages in the book where they pretty much spent the whole day together and he just spent the whole time asking her questions and getting to know her. This was just one of those scenes that was cut from the movie that really showed their love story. These two were obsessed with each other but not as unrealistically as the movie portrayed it. They literally spent so much time getting to know each other and wanting to know as much about each other as possible. Their first kiss was literally in the meadow! It was nerve wracking and hesitant and so cute! Wtf was that first kiss in the movie 🤢 and this whole scene had other cute stuff like when she admitted her favorite gemstone was topaz because it reminded her of Edward's eyes.

When James brought up Alice and you figured out that he's the vampire from her story that killed her maker and had tried to kill her. It really honed in on how focused on "the game" he got and how he wouldn't stop so he had to be put down

The scene where Edward drove bella to school the first time. Yeah. Yeah. Another scene I think the movies got right because again, my ass was giddy af reading that.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot bc twilight had so many little scenes and moments that was just building on their love story that I was obsessed with. Every time I read twilight I remember why I was team Edward from day 1

New Moon:

I don't have many favorite scenes to gush over in this book and I'm sure there's no explanation needed as to why 😭 but that dream in the beginning had me SHOOK. Bella's dramatic ass would've made you think she was turning 28 instead of 18 my goodness but it was done so well though.

Literally just the whole birthday scene. Funnily enough NM is my least favorite book but it was my favorite movie for a long time solely because of how accurate it was to the book and the movie did do that scene justice.

Meeting the volturi

When Heidi brought in all those people to be killed.

It made me sad but in a strange way that wasn't completely depressing how Bella didn't want to go to sleep when they came back because she still wasn't convinced it was real and was afraid Edward would be gone when she woke up 🥺

Eclipse:

When Edward got a bed and Bella kept trying to take his clothes off and he kept laughing at her 🧍🏾‍♀️ like idk what he thought was funny because ole girl was serious about that dick

Jasper and Rosalie's story. Again. I think the movies did these scenes pretty solid but idk. Something about the way Rosalie tells her story in the book is so frightening and addicting. You just have this dread the whole time because we all know where she ends up but nothing can properly prepare you for what really happened. I remember I just felt so sad for her. "Would you like to hear my story, Bella? It doesn’t have a happy ending – but which of ours does? If we had happy endings, we’d all be under gravestones now.” Starting it off like this was nothing short of poetry yup yup.

When Jacob found out Edward and Bella were engaged. Lmaooo. Sorry not sorry but Edward was sick af for entertaining jacob that she could ever choose him and then bringing up the engagement knowing his ass was listening. That was a beautiful moment for me

When Edward threatened jacob for kissing Bella without her consent. That was hot

“The word ‘boyfriend’ had me chewing on the inside of my cheek with a familiar tension while I stirred. It wasn’t the right word, not at all. I needed something more expressive of eternal commitment...” THIS! This line right here is why I get miffed when people say Bella didn't really want to marry Edward but just the vampire lifestyle. This is literally how she describes her relationship with Edward and how she has nothing against the commitment to him but moreso the concept of marriage and a wedding itself due to her parents' marriage.

Breaking Dawn:

Y'all already know. Isle Esme shouldve been its own book fr. The whole process of going to the island and the honeymoon was just chef's kiss. Bella just really wanting to be with him in that way and Edward saying he promised they'd try and then she woke up after having the time of her life and Edward the eternal brooder is having a meltdown because there are bruises and she snapped on him about ruining her high 😭

Also when he bit a pillow because he really wanted to bite her >>>

Can't remember if they left this in the movie but definitely the scene where they pretty much say that the women of the Denali coven and their deceased mother are/were succubi

That scene when Jacob realized they were going to have a "real" honeymoon was waaaay more dramatic in the book. Pretty sure it was a miscast but in the movie Jacob just reminded me of an angry cub or puppy most of the time. Like I was not taking him serious at all but in the book? Oh yeah he was going to kill Edward fr if the other pack members hadn't shown up.

The fact that the cleaning lady knew or had an inkling of what Edward and his family was in the beginning and even though she was scared, she still stuck around to watch out for Bella 🥺 in the movie they left in the scene where Edward was begging for her help once they realized bella was pregnant and I was glad

When Edward first heard renesmee's thoughts and it made him not hate her anymore because he could hear how much their baby loved bella and he couldn't hate anything that loved bella

Gaaaaawd when they first found out she was pregnant and she realized her and Edward wouldn't see eye to eye on this and the first person she called was Rosalie? Yeah. I know Rosalie was helping for a lot of selfish reasons but idk. As a Rosalie fan I really liked that Bella knew Rosalie would stick behind her on this if no one else did

When she first woke up from being a vampire and immediately tried to jump Edward's bones in front of everyone and told him he'd been holding out on her 😭

The cottage reveal

Sorry but I'll always prefer the book version where there was no "vision". I know the movie had people gagged but it was unnecessary to me. They gathered all their allies, calmly showed the volturi that renesmee was not an immortal child, the volturi killed irina, and they left. Easy peasy.

As for fave characters, definitely Alice, Rosalie, Jasper, Seth, Caius, Angela, and Edward.

Watching Twilight with my mum and you know… it’s the truest thing in the fucking world that almost every character except the main 3 is actually deeply interesting, and 9/10 times also very attractive. Like why would you kill Laurent, objectively the sexiest vampire in these films? I want to read about sexy vampire murderer Laurent in like 1800s France or whatever cos I bet that man never wore a shirt. I’m not into muscles at all but I’m cool with it if he never wears a shirt

Bc like they all kill people except Alice and Bella right? So why risk that why not just let them die and go to heaven if that’s what you believe? Pulling the dark hood over their (H/C) hair, (Y/N) couldn't help but notice a feeling of something new from within them as they made their way through the crowd of red fabric. Times like those made them want nothing more than Jasper to tell them exactly what they were feeling.

Edward was going to speak, to protest, to yell, but he was cut off by a small figure walking through the door. Thank god she showed up.

"There won't be any scene. And we'll still win."

Edward stepped forward to protest but was, once again, cut off by a different figure walking towards them. (Y/N) placed two fingers to their temple, ready to act if they were needed.

But that ringing in (Y/N)'s ears disappeared immediately when they caught a sight of the vampire suddenly standing there.

Porcelain skin, perfectly-styled blonde hair and by far the prettiest eyes they had ever seen. Sure, the rest of the Volturi had the same red eyes, but hers were just the most beautiful shade of crimson.

"Enough." she said, her voice making both Alice and Edward take a few steps back.

She removed the hood from her head and continued speaking.

"Aro was wondering what is taking so..."

Her words trailed off as she made eye contact with (Y/N), the two vampires' minds connecting. Such a strange sensation was not normal to come by, immediately letting them both know what was going on.

(Y/N) Cullen had found their mate.

(Y/N) Cullen's mate was Jane Volturi.

This was not going to go down well with the rest of the family.

Thinking about how the main vampire couples in the Twilight universe seem to always answer a specific need or desire for one half of the couple.

Esme's greatest desire was a kind man, someone who would listen to her and let her be herself, and she found her mate in Carlisle, who first showed her an example of that kind of man

Jasper's greatest desire was hope and stability and he found his mate in Alice who can always stay ahead of the curve and give him assurance and who never settles for the worst case scenario

Rosalie's greatest desire is sort of torn between wanting to be a mother and a need for contentment and honesty--enter Emmett who is both childish and who always says exactly what he's thinking.

Kate and Garrett are a most interesting case because they fulfill mutual desires. Garrett, the perennial wanderer unable to stay in one place for any length of time needed someone lively and strong to keep things exciting, while Kate, with a long string of lovers behind her needed someone interesting and tenacious who she could never tire of.

I suppose Bella and Edward fulfill mutual needs too though. Neither of them have any conscious desires about love or relationships, but they do have unconscious needs. Bella, who has spent literally her entire life being responsible for her mother instead of the other way around has developed into the kind of person who always puts herself last, to a fault and thinks of herself as plain and "Painfully average" looking-- she needed someone who would highlight her worth, which Edward does (even if I think it could have been illustrated better). Meanwhile, Edward is... well there are a lot of theories on what Edward is. Common ones ranging from autism to near-asexuality and those are good, rich theories. My personal thought, though, is that Edward is largely just very repressed. He grew up in a repressive time, his father was very absent so he and his mother became very attached and I wonder if (and this is speculation of course) she wasn't a bit like Renée herself, except instead of being an irresponsible parent she was an overprotective one. What we learn of her in midnight sun, objecting to Edward's aspiration of becoming a soldier, is perfectly normal parental behavior; but what must the inner workings of your mind be like to have the will to figure out, as a fever is killing your brain, that your doctor isn't human and whatever he is he can save your son by making him inhuman as well and you would rather that than your son dying? Did Elizabeth Masen have latent abilities? We'll never know, but if she was so overprotective then it may very well be that Edward, even subconsciously, felt stifled by her and wanted to break away from her, but not through getting married or finding a lover, which may have seemed too disrespectful, so he focused obsessively on joining the war instead. Whatever the case, I believe Edward's greatest need was simply something to be passionate about. He genuinely enjoys his running and his cars and his music, but it seems that he approaches them all with nothing more than just enjoyment. Nothing seems to light any kind of fire in him. Carlisle loves Esme, but it's clear that he's passionate about his work. The same can be said of Rose and her mechanics, Alice and her fashion, Emmett and his sports. Jasper is written very poorly in the text regarding his interests outside of his violent love for Alice, but what we're told in the supplemental material paints an avid scholar, and I believe that Jasper does love his studies, the chances he's been given to exercise his intellect after a century of being wasted on destructive pursuits (although you could argue that he's passionate about war, i think the key there is that Jasper's talent for war stems from his strategic intellect rather than a natural inclination to fighting).

I suppose what Edward really needed was a muse.

This is one of those metas where I don't have to guess, because Rosalie says it herself in this outtake from Meyer's website. For reference, she's contemplating her phone call to Edward, and the reasons why she called:

I might as well be honest with myself, because Edward would see every bit of pettiness in my decision as soon as he got home. Might as well acknowledge my bad motives, accept them now.

Yes, I was jealous of the way Alice felt about Bella. Would Alice have raced off so rashly, so wild with panic, if it had been me she’d seen jumping off a cliff? Did she have to love that commonplace human girl so much more than me?

But that jealousy was just a small thing.

(For the record, that "Edward would see every bit of the pettiness in my decision" line - good god, let it never be said this girl has good self esteem.)

Alice openly prefers Bella to Rosalie, she makes Bella her best friend based on visions (which, to be sure, is simply how Alice works), and devotes herself entirely to being BFFs with Bella. She's attentive, takes the initiative, never runs out of enthusiasm where Bella is concerned.

In Midnight Sun, Alice is blatant about this. Bella is to be her friend, her very best friend in this world, someone she has longed for. She loves her already, why hasn't Edward introduced them yet, Bella Bella Bella-

Bella is very much going to be a novelty in Alice's life. Bella is the sister and friend Alice wants and delights in.

Rosalie is not. And Rosalie knows it. Sixty years together, and they never got as close as Alice got to Bella in just a few months of knowing her.

It's very clearly one-sided, too, this jealousy and desire for closeness on Rosalie's end. Alice makes it clear she's not interested in Rosalie beyond getting along because they're in the same coven.

Again, the outtake is depressingly helpful here.

Alice calls the house phone, Rosalie picks up. What proceeds it a tense conversations where Alice tells Rosalie that Edward is going to kill himself, and Rosalie, faced with the prospect of losing her brother, succumbs to despair. Alice shows zero empathy:

“I—I didn’t mean it like that, Alice! I just wanted him to come home!” My voice was almost a howl.

“It’s a bit late for that, Rose,” Alice said, harder and colder than before. “Save your remorse for someone who believes it.”

I'd be lenient because Alice is also on the verge of losing her brother, and it's human (heh.) nature to not always react appropriately to that. Taking her fear and worry for Edward out on Rosalie is regrettable, but not necessarily representative of how Alice treats and regards Rosalie on the regular.

However, when they get back from Volterra, Edward is fine. They're all fine, everything turned out well, there was a happy ending. Alice can safely lower her shoulders, and let Rosalie know they're fine.

Instead- well, Alice and Rosalie don't interact in the reunion scene, instead it's Edward piling crap on Rosalie while Emmett jokes that Bella forgiving her doesn't count because Bella's half asleep. But it speaks of a family dynamic where Rosalie's a bitch and it's okay to treat her accordingly, which, combined with everything we know about Alice, makes me feel pretty confident in guessing she never apologized for her words.

Not once in canon, not to my recollection anyway, do we see them have a sisterly moment. Alice never brings Rosalie along on a shopping trip with Bella (or pouts because Rosalie didn't want to go), they never sit together just to talk about anything, Alice never plays Barbie Rosalie.

Do they do things together every so often, yes, that's canon, Alice designs dresses for her and they made a photo album of Renesmée together. That's it. However, that merely means that two people living under the same roof sometimes do things together when it's a hobby they share. More, fashion is Alice's passion. Designing clothes for Rosalie isn't necessarily about Rosalie the person. And Renesmée's album, again, just means they both wanted to do a thing.

There's no instance of them seeking each other out for the sake of company.

So, no, I don't think Rosalie and Alice are close. At all.

I think Rosalie would love to be, has probably made a few overtures over the years, at least in the early ones, none of which can succeed when she on a very fundamental level is not a person Alice is interested in as friend.

Alice, on her end, tolerates Rosalie.

i know it's kinda boring to imagine the cullens as regular human teenagers in 2021 when they are fucking powerfull vampires but someone once told me that in this alternative universe jasper would be the mysterious my-reputation-precedes-me guy and alice would be like those fairy-aesthetic girls from pinterest and i...i just can't stop thinking about it.....

I don't think it's boring to imagine them as regular human teenagers! the regular human teenagers I know are very interesting people.

if I ever write teenage!human!jasper, Patrick Verona is the blueprint. it's definitely the vibe of "I give off the world's most terrifying aura and I only ever speak to one classmate (peter) so everyone thinks I killed a man and ate an entire duck raw (except the beak and the feet) but actually I was in australia helping my elderly grandfather cross the street." of course, in his case I think you can also write the rumors being true—eg, he did kill a man, just not under the circumstances everyone imagines, or something like that (maybe he just likes raw duck ok. mind your business david)

I think jasper and edward are the only cullens who would still be Loners in a human high school au. edward would be more of the Nerd kind of loner though, like he's in the library every lunch period. he might have a few kinda-friends. people don't see him as a threat, just kind of a Weird Guy (as opposed to jasper, who is both a threat and a Weird Guy.)

digression time: I can see what smeyer was going for when she wrote the cullens as ~mYsTeRiOuS aNtiSoCiaL iNcEsT fAmiLy~ in canon—I mean, ok, they're immortal so a) they're going to outlive all these people and don't wanna get attached, b) they're Really 85+ Years Old so none of these teens are actually their peers, and c) they're potentially dangerous and don't wanna get close to these humans lest they end up harming them. also, if they're cryptic and "keep to themselves" it creates a bigger mystery for bella and makes it a bigger deal when they eventually accept bella.

but I agree with a lot of the takes on tumblr that character-wise, it doesn't really make sense for emmett and alice to be mysterious antisocial loners.

rosalie is the one for whom being a vampire makes the most difference—human!rosalie 100% wants to socialize, vampire!rosalie believes it's not even an option.

and as established above, edward and jasper are Weird Guys no matter what species they are (#1 fic pet peeve is when people write edward or jasper as some kind of smooth-talking ladies' man like gurl what books did you read?? I mean follow your bliss I guess but this type of blatant wish fulfillment is Not For Me)

but emmett? and alice? crave social interaction! in MS, alice is desperate for a friend. and emmett is the kind of guy who can't help making friends wherever he goes, without even trying. alice does try, but she's pretty successful.

as for the fairy aesthetic thing...eh. I think she might actually be opposed to anything that plays into her size like that. I know bella describes her as “pixie-like,” and boy howdy has the fandom latched onto that one throwaway adjective, but there’s nothing to indicate that alice sees herself that way. I think it’s the opposite. she’s like I KNOW I’m short but stop infantilizing me ok!! I have an adult mind in here! I can too be Sexy!!

I would write human!alice as being so laser-focused on a future fashion career that she doesn’t commit to any other subcultures. I also think her aesthetic is more sleek and edgy than organic or boho.

but in terms of the Weird Girl attitude...oh yeah. she’s got it in spades.

which is exactly why she’s the type of “no fear no boundaries” person to look at Weird Scary Guy jasper and see a challenge. she’s like “haha what’s that guy’s deal? might fuck around and sit at his lunch table and gradually worm my way into his life until he can’t imagine it without me :D”

You’ve said in a previous post that Alice only cares about Bella because she gets to live out her barbie fantasy, can’t Alice satisfy her Barbie fantasy with Rosalie(considering Rosalie loves to dress up, show off, has an interest in fashion) doesn’t this mean that Alice cares about Bella?

Why Can't Alice Satisfy Her Urges With Rosalie?

Well, first, no, because Rosalie's not human and Rosalie has dignity.

With Bella, Alice has an excuse to hold these graduation/birthday parites/weddings. These are actual, important, moments in Bella's life that will only come once. By being human, Bella gives these moments significance not only for herself but for Alice. Bella will only have this eighteenth birthday party once! She'll only go to Prom as a human once!

More than that though, Rosalie would not go along with this, she's far too much her own person. If she wants to remarry Emmett then she and Emmett will do the wedding the way she wants to, not the way Alice wants to. If Rosalie and Emmett are going on Honeymoon 2.0, then they're doing what they want to do, not what Alice has planned.

Alice tries to tell Rosalie what to do then she will receive Rosalie's foot in her face along with the words, "I am not your Barbie."

Bella goes along with everything, despite the fact that she likes none of it, because to her this is what friendship is: humoring Alice.

Does Alice Care About Bella?

I actually would say Alice does care, but only to a certain degree, and not more than she cares about Edward.

Alice is very excited to have Bella as a friend, and very hopeful it will all work out (if she can get Edward to get his head out of his ass). I think she genuinely views Bella as her best friend and it does hurt her to leave her behind in New Moon and cut off contact.

Alice was concerned enough to return to Forks when she thought Bella had killed herself. That's not indifference.

However, ultimately, Alice will court Bella's death and unhappiness if it means Alice can get the future she wants.

Alice approves of, encourages, and enables Bella's relationship with Edward despite Bella's gruesome death being a highly likely outcome. Alice doesn't tell Edward not to take Bella to the meadow, she says, "I think you won't eat her, you have 40/60 odds... Alright, maybe it's more like 35. I believe in you!"

What this tells us is that Alice is willing to play a game, in which Bella's odds of survival are less than half, so that Edward can be happy.

If Edward eats Bella, that's too bad, but all of this was worth the risk. And to be fair, this is the only legitimate way Alice can have Bella in her life, but at the same time... It shows Alice's propensity to treat even beloved people in her life as pawns.

The really bad one, though, is Volterra.

Alice gets a vision of Edward going to the Volturi to kill himself, she can't get in contact, the only way she sees this working out is if she takes a human Bella to Volterra where, if she sprints and doesn't trip, she can save Edward.

Alice does tell Bella this is risky, Bella may die. However, she leaves out some key details.

This was a death sentence for Bella. She was a human who had been informed of vampires, is now entering the city that is the center of this law, they would find her and without Aro having been unduly generous and Alice's gift she would not have left alive.

There was a very large possibility she would be murdered so that Edward could live.

Now, Bella would be willing to make this sacrifice, but Alice did not make it clear that this was the most likely outcome. She just... fudged that a little bit.

More, in that moment that Alice not only suggests Bella come but brings her along, she makes her priorities clear. Alice, if she must choose, would rather live in a world where Edward is alive and Bella is dead.

She will risk Bella's life, even with the possibility that Edward might succeed in his suicide, just for the possibility that Edward might live.

And that, for Alice, is how the cookie crumbles.

Bella's great, Edward's better, and if you make her choose then she will choose Edward without a hint of regret. But hey, it all worked out in the end, so no need to worry about it!
