In a different universe, where Horikoshi went with his og idea for Bakugou and Deku (cheerful, uplifting best friend Bakugou and kinda emo Deku), I'd be a hardcore bakudeku shipper. That's so insane.

I think the last anon was referring to the Ironman armor All Might is putting on. And since you don’t watch the Marvel movies, you probably don’t realize the implications that this ruins AM’s character for a lot of fans because the gist was trying to move beyond being a superhero and he just jumps back into the game. You’ll likely have a different interpretation of this, but since you don’t watch Marvel movies I’m not sure what you’ll say on it since this isn’t your field of expertise.
Honestly, while I have seen the orignal Ironman, my mind didn't go there actually. What it did go to, what excited me about Toshinori getting to do this is when i thought of Akatani Mikumo.
If you aren't aware, some of Izuku's original designs were very different. The pilot BNHA was based on had him older, as a support tool sales person for hero stuff if I remember correctly, and All Might was essentially Snipe.
One of the rejected designs for Deku was a kid with far longer hair and someone who never stopped being quirkless. Specifically, we were going to have a Deku who never received powers essentially creating himself support items and batmaning his way through Japan's villains. But, clearly, this was dropped in favor of the OFA/AFO main plot.

Actually, I disagree with this. While I understand it's good for Toshinori to move away from a sole hero identity, I just think this is Horikoshi finally inserting a nod to his original idea of Deku as a quirkless hero with support items. So idk if this ruins Toshinori's character (at least for me) inasmuch as I find it a very clever way of Horikoshi managing to get one of his original ideas into his manga despite it being squashed by editorial meddling very early on.
