I'm not Georgia's biggest fan but to go to that extent like that Twitter wacko is pure insanity. Also, to complain about Georgia stealing the spotlight when it was a fan that started the thread is a bit unnecessary.

She was supporting David just like everyone else.

The thing about that Twitter wacko is that they seem to have a thing for Aiden Hoynes, the character David played in The Politician's Husband (to the point of seemingly conflating David with Aiden, by making comments like hating Georgia because she gets to kiss "Aiden"). But of all David's characters to be obsessed with, they're going to go for the misogynistic creep who sexually assaulted his own wife? I just...the level of things to unpack there is so expansive it's hard to even know where to begin.

Truth be told, I don't even think Georgia would care much if this person was just talking shit, because I'm sure she and David have both dealt with more than their share of loudmouth fans. But the TERF/GC stuff in combination with the threats is downright frightening, especially given that Wilf identifies as enby. What I wish the Twitter fans understood is that when that level of threat is present, it doesn't matter if you're obsessed in a "good" way, because under certain circumstances, neither David nor Georgia have any way to tell if someone is just a passionate fan or if they're someone who would genuinely harm their own child.

So while avoiding social media is one thing, I would not be surprised if David pulls back on fan events altogether (especially given that someone at last weekend's GalaxyCon brought a picture of Dennis Nilsen--yes, the actual serial killer--for him to sign). The staggering level of insensitivity toward the man's crimes is one thing, but it's also incredibly disrespectful to David himself, who cared so much about being sensitive in his portrayal because of the still-living families of the victims.

As for the Anon from tonight, I'm willing to give that person the benefit of the doubt and say that they likely didn't know the reason behind the support thread. I can understand why, on the face of it, it would seem like what this person perceived...which is why it's so important to have the full story and context, which I tried to convey in my answer to them. There are plenty of things related to Georgia that merit consternation (and I have some more Anons waiting to be answered to that effect), but I don't think this happens to be one of them.

Personally, I totally see Blum/Burton! Though that's another character you still have to see. :D But I already know that you will adore him, because Will Burton is really just Alec Hardy, only a slightly more healthy and social version, but with probably worse trauma and a slightly screwed moral compass.  Although that's debatable. He makes some Choices, but all the darkness is warranted. Anyway, B/B would be such a good ship?  Power couple destroying people in in court, either going up against each other and starting off as rivals or being the perfect, feared team? Yes please!

Same goes for Blum/Hardy, though, I can see their appeal. They'd totally clash and Hardy would *hate* Blum at first, but that's what's fun about the idea of them. They give me similar vibes as Whitly/Hardy, only that Blum isn't *that* morally dark.

(Actually, coming to think of it, why's no one ever considered Will Burton/Martin Whitly? God, so many options...!) And I've read some stuff with Roland Blum and Aiden Hoynes on AO3 too, so Blum's certaintly very shippable with other DT characters that have to do with law. :D

I had to look up who Will Burton is, I do believe the Escape Artist is on my list of things to watch, haha. Actually, them being a power couple brought together through the same trial would be interesting to read...

Ah! I think I've seen Blum and Aiden before, forever ago! But now, like, any ship I see for Aiden is him and an oc based on MS (and it is excellent content and I love the artist's work)
