Advice:
Bestie and I have plans for NYE. It involves takeout, drinking, watching dumb videos, and chilling with dogs. So nothing special but we haven’t seen each other since thanksgiving and A LOT has happened that we need to catch up on.
She just texted me asking if one of her friends can join us and no pressure to say no. I’ve never met this friend but she says she thinks we would get along great.
What should I do?? Should I say sorry but I was looking forward to just hanging with you or should I be more open to meeting this friend and as the saying goes the more the merrier???

Dear fellow costumers, does anyone have tips on how to do a ca. 1800-1805-ish woman's hairstyle using medium-length hair that looks suitably 'period' and does not involve me fully committing to the bit by cutting my hair à la Titus or getting bangs (both of which would be great for the one evening I need the hairdo for, but... not so much thereafter)?
Looking for period hairdos (and people who did them) online, a lot of what I can find in terms of instructions either looks very 1810-onwards, so somewhat too late to match my gown, or is 'Bridgerton-themed' (which, to clarify, is exactly what I don't want my hair to look like, ideally).
A low bun would probably do the trick, but I'd love to know if anyone has any more original ideas, tricks, or tips. Those would be greatly appreciated!

so I've only recently begun my medical journey about my possible disability, and I'm hoping anyone with a better understanding of all this could give me some advise.
I don't have any professional diagnosis yet, although I've been using the term chronic pain & Fibromyalgia given that's what's most likely and what my experience has ben compared to the most. I'm set up to see a physical therapist at some point, and am able bodied. I'm still new to the world of having a disability, I never though it was abnormal.
I don't know if ill end up needing or wanting a mobility aid, the closest experience I have with them is older family members who don't like using their aids or using a pair of axillary crutches. I don't know what I can do to make my daily life at least a little better, I would like to be able to be more comfortable in life.
if anyone has any wish words for me, or any tips, or anything at all that you think i should know please do.

Any hot tips on how to convince your parents not to support Israel? And to believe that there’s a literal genocide going on? I’m not articulate enough to explain everything that’s going on or to get them to believe me. My dad said he supports Israel because “it’s the only democratic country in that part of the world” ummm ok and so that makes it okay for them to ethnically cleanse people who happened to be born somewhere else??? Help

To any Bionicle MOC experts, do you know if the Hero Factory ball & socket joints are compatible with the Bionicle ball & socket joints??
I modded my Takanuva to have elbows for more posability, but the Rahkshi upper legs I'm using for his upper arms don't come in white. There are white Hero Factory parts on BrickLink with a ball on one end & a socket on the other, but I don't know if they'll fit together. 😓

Howdy, I was recently diagnosed (literally two days ago) with Idiopathic Hypersomnia that they're keeping a close eye on to see if it becomes narcolepsy.
I just wanted to reach out and ask for tips and tricks from people that have been diagnosed longer with either. No matter how small the tip is I really would appreciate it!
(also should mention I won't be on stimulants because my body can't handle them, previously tried for ADHD)

I miss phone games. I liked candy crush and best fiends and something where you shot balloons with colours. I used to play Tetris and solitaire a lot before phones existed. Snake. Anything.
I just want a phone game that fulfills two simple requirements:
A) doesn't steal my data
B) no autoplay ads that make noise so I don't get fired for playing games at work
Does anyone know any game that would qualify
Please help my family is starving

I need some behavioural advice regarding Bluebell. I can hand feed her and pick her up ok, she's quite happy climbing all over me, but sometimes when she's out of the cage she'll come charging at me and bite me hard enough to draw blood. There's no discernable reason for this behaviour, and while I don't know what's setting her off, I don't know how to help her.
She's the oldest of the three, so she's the one who spent the longest in their initial situation before being seized by the RSPCA.
If it were happening in response to me reaching for her, or anything else obvious, I could modify my behaviour, but I don't know what's upsetting her. I hate feeling so nervous around her and realise that she'll be picking up on it and it won't be helping matters. Does anyone please have any advice for Bluebell and poor hands?

I put random tags for this but I need advice about my friends
I asked my friend to go to a concert with me and she said we’ll go while waiting on her to message and say she’s ready to book the tickets I find out she has gotten tickets for another friend and is going with her instead I later find out my other friend also got a ticket with her. Then I was told that they had no way uo and where selling the tickets and now I’m seeing photos of them on the bus and going to the concert hall.
And no it’s not just any concert
ITS FUCKING HOZIER
The LOML
the person I find a way to bring into any convo of music, I’m in tears wished them a good time I just hope they know how much they have hurt me because I was told that they didn’t mean to leave me out when things like this happened before as I am always the one left out.
I’m at a loss at what to do, they have wrecked my mental health and I’m dealing with so much families issues and my parents split up and now my friends are treating me like shite on there shoe

Question for Readers: How do real Neurodivergent people exercise?
Hi, neurodivergent friends, especially those of you with ADHD/executive dysfunction, or dyspraxia. Do you regularly exercise or move your body? If so, what do you do? How often? How do you stay consistent, or deal with being inconsistent?
Knowing how real neurodivergent people exercise (not just neurotypical influencers/self help types) would help me immensely. Just like with cleaning and organizing, we often have to do things in a different way, and it doesn’t necessarily look like what you see in magazines and the like. I want to broaden my mind to the full possibilities of what exercising can look like.
Why I’m Asking:
I’m no longer young enough for my body to stay basically functional without regular physical exercise. I need to do regular physical activity that involves bearing my own body weight and raising my heart rate.
I need to build up my endurance and develop some arm muscles so basic life tasks like grocery shopping don’t wear me out.
I also need physical activity to reconnect me to my body. Pretty much everything I do (like reading, writing, and interacting with friends online) keeps me still so long I forget I have a body, and then it’s hard to start moving again.
I also need physical activity that involves going outside, and people watching or even interacting with people, to connect me to the world and remind me that I’m real. You know, all those mental health benefits of moving and being in nature.
I also need a way to burn off those intense emotions that can stick around for hours, instead of distracting myself from them. And perhaps, burn off some anxiety/restlessness/hyperactivity, while I’m at it.
The Assets
I like walking at a moderate pace and could do for hours.
I love yoga, especially of the slow paced type where you focus on how you feel in a pose and intensify it to the maximum point you can stand.
I love dancing to music, including fast paced songs with a strong beat.
The Challenges:
Low endurance, physical weakness: I need something low impact and appropriate for someone with low endurance and something like exercise induced asthma.
ADHD Inconsistency and Discouragement: I need goals specific enough to actually do the exercise, yet flexible enough that I won’t get discouraged and stop. I need to either not trigger my perfectionism, or work around it.
Executive Dysfunction: I suck at building habits, especially keeping them consistently. These days, I’m so discouraged from years of frustration with trying to build habits that I rarely try at all. Also, I have difficulty setting SMART goals around exercise especially because I’m not very knowledgeable about what’s healthy and realistic (and am exhausted by the prospect of wading through “bro science” to find useful info).
History of dyspraxia; lack of confidence in my physical body and embarrassed about being physically unfit in front of other people.
Heat sensitivity -- it was almost painfully exhausting going outside last summer, which limited the opportunities I had to exercise.
How would you deal with challenges like these?
If you have similar challenges, how do you deal with them?
Any ideas for what sort of exercises to do, how often, etc.?
Why Reply?
I will try any suggestions that seem promising. So, you might be able to help me.
I plan to write about what works for me, what doesn’t, and why. Maybe that information will help someone else in a similar situation. If so, you might help other people, too.
Thank you!
