Of all the actresses, which would you most like to see as Sigyn in the MCU?
I believe I've answered this before for Sigyn Appreciation Week, but I think I might have added some new ones since then.
Of course my top favorite is Keira Knightley, and then it’s Angel Coulby, MIA WASIKOWSKA, HOLLIDAY GRAINGER and I’ve actually since then changed my mind on Katie McGrath since I think she is better suited as Lady Loki instead.
I’d still be down for Bradley James as a Male Sigyn.
But I’ve also come to like other Fancasts like Sarah Gadon, Eleanor Tomlinson, Imogen Poots, Vanessa Kirby and Katheryn Winnick (because I just love her role as Lagertha okay. My Queen.)

fruity season day 17: Luhan & orange
Some think love can be measured by the amount of butterflies in their tummy. Others think love can be measured in bunches of flowers, or by using the words 'for ever.'
But love can only truly be measured by actions. It can be a small thing, such as peeling an orange for a person you love because you know they don't like doing it.

Marian Paroo (The Music Man)
Parivitagender: A somewhat feminine leaning gender. Parivitagender feels equal and balanced. Someone with this gender is most comfortable living a calm, organized life. Their gender pushes them to naturally want life to be relaxed and soothing, and they tend to avoid arguments and debates because of this. Parivitagender people also tend to have calmer interests and hobbies, like reading books and enjoying their favorite shows rather than playing sports.

Denée Benton on the set of The Gilded Age
Denée Benton as Peggy Scott. Peggy is a young, ambitious writer. She was raised in New York and educated at the prestigious Institute for Colored Youth in Philadelphia. We meet Peggy at a crossroads. She’s haunted by her past and lingering questions that’s she unable to find answers to, so she chooses to leave Pennsylvania and return home. She meets Marian at the train station, and both women who are seeking a fresh start form an unlikely friendship as they begin this next chapter of their lives in New York, but Peggy’s secret will eventually be revealed causing a tectonic shift in her world.
The Gilded Age on HBO: Against this backdrop of change, the story begins in 1882 — introducing young Marian Brook, the orphaned daughter of a Union general, who moves into the New York City home of her thoroughly old money aunts Agnes van Rhijn and Ada Brook. Accompanied by Peggy Scott, an accomplished African-American woman, Marian inadvertently becomes enmeshed in a social war between one of her aunts, a scion of the old money set, and her stupendously rich neighbors, a ruthless railroad tycoon and his ambitious wife, George and Bertha Russell.
Admin Note: I am losing it ya’ll. I love Denée and she looks amazing here!!

Night Shift
Title: Night Shift
Author: ghostbunny
Rating: Explicit
Words: 194,309 – Finished
Spoilers for: DA2
Admin’s assessment: 4.5/5
Admin L’s notes:
F!Hawke/Fenris, M!Hawke/Anders, Anders/Karl Thekla. Vampire AU, AU - Modern With Magic.
A beach read!* If you ever wanted to ship FenHawke and Handers in one fic, this fic is for you. It gives due credit and time to Karl and Anders' relationship as well. The characterization of Garrett, a man, as someone who is more in tune with his emotions (aka less emotionally constipated) than Marian was quite compelling. The narrative can get introspective at times so your YMMV.
I also am partial to the fic because it reminds me of Night Shift (feat. Abstract Rude) by edIT. I can totally picture the Kirkwall gang ganking vampires with this music playing in the background.
*How do these fanfic authors just write so much? How do they finish their plot arcs? How did ghostbunny finish uploading this in a year? I am in awe.
Summary: Fenris is a vampire on the run from his former master. He finds himself in Kirkwall, where one night he encounters Marian Hawke: the city's resident vampire hunter. Naturally, she tries to kill him. Luckily for both of them, she fails at that and Fenris, rather than killing her, makes his escape. A week or so later, Marian surprises everyone involved by tracking him down and, instead of trying for round two, offers to recruit him into her group of monster-fighting misfits.
Skip forward a bit and Marian's absentee brother Garrett has become suspiciously less absent ever since meeting the group's rebel mage healer, Anders, and agreeing to help him locate someone from his past. Then Marian strikes up a deal with Fenris that involves working against a powerful Tevinter vampire. Add to that the day-to-day life of a predominantly mage household in a city that really doesn't like mages, and things sort of spiral out of control from there...

“The Surprise” (Better When I’m Dancing) Chapter 2: Results
Tumblr media
Here’s my second entry for OQ Update Month!
"Okay, from what I can tell you are about seven weeks along," Dr. Cobb said, looking at the blob on the screen in front of her.
Regina stared at it, mesmerized. She and Robin had talked about expanding their family but had taken a rather "que sera, sera" approach after their wedding. With him touring and her participating on the show, they didn't want to try in earnest just yet - agreeing to wait another year.
It seems nature had other plans.
"So wait, she's been pregnant during almost the entire competition?" Robin asked, frowning. "Will that affect the baby?"
Dr. Cobb shook her head. "No, not really. Regina is healthy and her body is already used to ballroom dancing, which gives her an advantage. She can continue dancing as her pregnancy progresses, though you will have to limit which stunts you do."
"I understand," Regina said. "Not my first time at this particular rodeo."
"I thought you stopped dancing to have Henry?" he asked, sounding confused.
She chuckled. "Yes, but not at first. Daniel and I danced until I was about six months along and really starting to show, not that Gold was happy about that."
"I imagine Gold wasn't happy about a lot," he replied, scowling at the thought of her former coach and the former head judge on the show. She didn't blame him - Gold had tormented her for years and then had turned his ire onto them while they were on the show together. Even though it had been a few years since they last saw him, the thought of him still left a bad taste in both their mouths.
"Do you have any other questions?" Dr. Cobb asked, looking mostly at Robin. "I'm happy to answer them."
He shook his head. "Not right now. But maybe next time?"
The doctor laughed. "Alright. Well, everything looks good and I'll sign off on you dancing tonight. Just watch your sugar levels. We can't have you fainting again."
"I will be careful," Regina promised. She then patted Robin's hand. "He'll also make sure I eat."
"Absolutely," he replied, kissing her hand.
Dr. Cobb nodded, standing. "Good. But I do want to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't develop gestational diabetes."
"Is that a possibility?" he asked, sounding panicked again. Regina wondered if he had been this bad with Marian and decided to ask Claire about it later.
"Well, in some ways, it's always a possibility. But the fact that Regina already had an experience of low blood sugar is concerning. However, she does have some other factors that also contribute to low blood sugar - she's in active competition and so keeping up with an athletic routine. And she didn't know she was pregnant so she maybe didn't make the same choices about food she would've had she known," Dr. Cobb explained matter-of-factly but still in a comforting tone.
Regina nodded before patting Robin's hand. "So what she's saying is that it's a possibility but not necessarily a given."
Dr. Cobb nodded. "Exactly."
"Alright," he said, relaxing a bit. He turned to the doctor. "Thank you."
"You're welcome. Now, why don't you two go home, get something to eat and get some rest before today's show?" Dr. Cobb suggested. She then turned to Robin. "And don't Google anything I talked about today. Got it, Dad?"
Robin looked sheepish as he nodded. "Got it."
He then helped Regina up and she went to change from the gown they had given her when she was shown into the office. Back in her clothes, she took his hand and they went so she could schedule her next appointment. The admin there handed her an envelope with their first sonogram pictures and congratulated them. She then leaned forward. "I'm a big fan," she told them.
"Thank you," Regina replied, trusting that no one from the office would leak their news to the media. After all, no one had yet.
Once they were in Robin's car and driving home, he glanced at her. "So what are you going to tell the show?"
"The truth," she replied. "They need to know I'm pregnant so they don't try to plan something that could hurt the baby."
He nodded. "Alright. Are you going to tell Percy?"
She sighed, nodding. "I really have no choice. But not tonight. Nothing in our routines could hurt me or the baby so we're fine. I'll tell him tomorrow."
"Alright," he said, clicking on the radio and hearing one of his songs. He chuckled. "Talk about timing, huh?"
Regina rolled her eyes but smiled, happily listening to her husband's voice. She rubbed her stomach wondering if their child would inherit her dancing abilities or his musical talents. Or would he or she have a talent or passion completely separate from the arts?
"That was the latest single from Robin Locksley and the Merry Men," the DJ said as the song ended. "And we have some news about his wife, Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Regina Mills. Video leaked from last night's dress rehearsals showed the dancer passing out while rehearsing her number with partner Percy Pellinore. The video then shows her being wheeled out by paramedics and the local hospital confirms she was treated and released late that night, though of course they couldn't say why due to privacy issues."
She groaned as the DJ continued: "While we've heard nothing from the show or Regina, hopefully we'll get some answers on tonight's show - if she dances."
"Do you think the show leaked the footage to get some publicity ahead of tonight's show?" Robin asked, his voice low and brimming with anger.
"I don't know," she replied, annoyed as well. "I hope not. I trust Nimue would know by now to always loop us in whenever they were going to do something like that."
Her phone rang and Regina sighed. "It's Mal. I hope she's just checking in and not telling me something else."
"How are you?" Mal asked as soon as Regina picked up. "What is going on? I heard that you've been tired all week and even had to take a day off. And then when you go back, you end up passing out and being rushed to the hospital. That's not like you and I'm worried, Regina."
Regina smiled, putting Mal on speaker phone. "You're on speaker. Robin's here with me."
"Hi, Mal," he replied, eyes still on the road.
Mal paused for a moment. "Well, he sounds calm so I take it the diagnosis isn't really bad."
"It's not really bad," Regina said as Robin chuckled. "Actually...I'm pregnant."
"Very funny," Mal said. "Now tell me what's really going on."
Robin chuckled as Regina shook her head. "I'm not messing with you, Mal. The fatigue and the low blood sugar were all because I'm pregnant."
Her agent was quiet again before letting out a little shriek. "Congratulations!"
"Thank you," Regina said, laughing at Mal's reaction. "We're not telling anyone just yet - just the family and a select few people."
"Of course. Do you want me to inform the show or do you?" Mal asked.
Regina paused, considering the answer. She and Nimue had a good relationship over her time on the show but Regina figured she should go through proper channels this time. "Can you? I think it's only right," she said.
"I was about to give Nimue a call anyway about that video. Given that we're usually involved in planned leaks, I'm guessing this was not planned," Mal said, sounding annoyed.
"That's what I figured," Regina replied. "Though I'm surprised. The crew is usually very good and I don't think anyone is new."
Mal hummed. "Do you think it could be a contestant?"
Regina sighed, going through all the contestants in her mind. "It's possible. Or maybe one of their staff. I'm trying not to suspect my partner but…"
"He's a complete tosser," Robin finished, barely keeping the bitterness out of his voice.
"Has he been giving you any trouble, Regina?" Mal asked, sounding ready to fight Percy for her.
Regina paused for a moment before saying: "No more than he gives anyone else. He's just insufferable and very selfish."
"But you still suspect him of releasing it," Mal replied.
"It would get him some publicity," Regina said. "And maybe some sympathy votes. And it would probably spite me too while giving him an excuse – like he would be doing better if his partner was so weak and unprofessional."
Mal was silent and Regina felt the temperature drop in the car. When she glanced at Robin, his eyes remained on the road but she could tell that he was clenching his jaw. His knuckles were white, meaning he was really gripping the wheel as well.
"Does he say that shit to you?" Mal asked in a low voice, her anger simmering.
"Not usually," Regina replied. "But he hasn't been pleased with the fact I've been fatigued and needed to take time off this week."
"Tough shit," Robin said, scowling.
Mal chuckled. "I agree with your husband there. If he gives you any trouble…"
"I'll let you know," Regina promised. "He's just a spoiled brat in the end. I think I can handle him for a few more weeks."
"Alright," Mal replied. "Anything else?"
"No, not right now," Regina said. "Thank you, Mal."
She said her goodbyes and hung up the phone. Regina let her phone fall into her lap as she looked at Robin. "Are you okay?"
"I want to kick your partner's arse," he replied.
"I can tell," she said, reaching over to rub his leg. "But I'm fine. Percy's not a threat. He's just a nuisance."
He let out a shaky breath. "If you're sure…"
She nodded. "I am. So if I ask you to come to the show tonight, you promise not to fight with him?"
"I promise," he replied. He glanced at her. "Do you really want me there?"
"I do. There's going to be a lot of spotlight on me tonight and I'd feel better knowing you were there to support me - from the audience," she replied.
Robin smiled. "I can do that. You know I love coming to the show and watching you - and everyone else - perform."
She nodded. "I do."
They arrived at the house and Robin hit the button to open his gate. He pulled in and parked the car, taking her hand to kiss it before smiling lovingly at her. "Come on. Let me get some food for you and our baby."
"We both like the sound of that," Regina said, a thrill rushing through her as he said our baby. She still couldn't believe she was pregnant and she was overjoyed to experience motherhood yet again.
And she couldn't ask for a better partner in this new adventure than Robin, she thought as they got out of the car and headed into the house.
She and the baby were very lucky indeed.

In my free time I’ve been making some Sigyn content on my TikTok again, this time with my cosplay of her I’m finally unveiling. I’m sharing the original text I put for this video:
How Ragnarok Begins… 🐍🔥🥣🗡
The Aesir sure didn’t see that one coming 😅 It just makes sense to me that Sigyn was the one who set him free. The tale of Loki’s Punishment in Norse Mythology would drive me to do the same against the Gods who did terrible things to Loki and his family all because they couldn’t take the truth.

Operation: HAUNT
Part 1/?
Marian adjusted the duffel bag strap on her shoulder as she scanned the unfamiliar conference room. The drab beige walls were bare except for the large TV screen on the far north that was attached to a computer set up underneath and slightly to the left of it. The conference table wasn’t the largest she had ever seen - it would comfortably fit ten people, uncomfortably fit upwards of twenty. A quick count totaled sixteen people crammed around the table, talking amongst themselves. A few chairs with ugly polka-dotted upholstery were scattered throughout the room and most of them were claimed as well.
Marian held back her sigh and ducked into the room, aiming for one of the last pairs of open chairs. Once she was there, she dropped her duffle bag on the chair closest to the table and remained standing in front of the remaining chair. She braced her hands on her lower back and arched, sighing in relief when a series of cracks raced up her spine. She let the noise of the room wash over her and just as she was about to sit down, a hand landed heavily on her shoulder.
Every one of her muscles tensed and before she was aware of moving, her hand was locked around the offending wrist. She jerked around and was met with a solid chest clothed in a gray sweatshirt with fancy script declaring “Simmons Family Treasures” on the front.
Marian dropped the wrist like she had been burned and directed a glare upward, at the new arrival’s face. “What the fuck, Titus? You know better than to sneak up on me.”
Bartram Titus, Marian’s friend and co-worker, just smiled. “I apologize for scaring you, but I thought you had heard me approaching. I was not trying to be quiet.”
Marian crossed her arms over her chest and lowered herself into the chair. “You know these training events get loud. I don’t want to accidentally break your wrist one day.”
Bartram transferred Marian’s duffle bag to the floor between the chairs and sat down himself, crossing his ankles. “An unfortunate accident of my own making, if it ever occurs.”
Marian rolled her eyes and shifted until she was slumped in the chair with her legs splayed out. She let her eyes drift across the men and women gathered around, marking the exits - the doorway where she had come in, which was attached to a long corridor with no windows, and a large window on the east side of the room, which looked out over a small courtyard from four stories above - and anyone she didn’t recognize.
“Captain Smith is not here yet. How unusual.”
Marian tipped her head toward Bartram and let out a quiet hum of agreement. “Isn’t it great? I don’t have to look at his stupid fuckin’ face first thing in the morning.”
“His ‘stupid fucking face’, Marian?”
Marian shrugged and let her focus zero in on the door and the area surrounding it. “His face is stupid. I don’t like it.”
“I think the truer statement is that you just do not like him in general.”
Marian didn’t say anything and just smirked. Bartram fell silent as well, bending forward to rifle through the side pocket of Marian’s duffle bag. Marian, from the corner of her eye, watched him pull out the fresh sketch pad she had packed for him. Her smirk gentled into a smile as he began to sketch, his hand moving confidently along the page.
Marian took a deep breath and closed her eyes, focusing instead on the sounds of the room - the low murmuring of conversation, the scratch of Bartram’s pencil, and the machinery underlying the building that kept it running.
Abruptly, the noise in the room jumped a handful of decibels. Excited “captains!” were shouted and someone let out a loud wolf whistle. Marian scowled and let her eyes flick open. She stared at the ceiling just long enough to roll her eyes and then looked back to the doorway.
The first time Marian Sheldur had laid eyes on Jordan Smith she had come to two conclusions: 1. He was the most gorgeous man she had ever laid eyes on and 2. He was a complete and utter prick.
Three years later and nothing had changed.
He stood a few feet away from the doorway in the room, chatting amiably with the gathered SWAT officers, most of whom were members of his personal squad. His dark hair was styled away from his face, leaving his face unobstructed. Marian absently traced the lines of his face, trailing along his jaw and down his throat. She blinked twice before physically shaking her head, scowling at herself. She dragged her gaze away from his throat and the sight of his stretched out crew cut shirt that revealed warm brown skin just as dark as the rest of him.
Marian pulled her phone out of the pocket of her sweatpants and frowned at the home screen. It was almost seven in the morning and the first meeting of the day was supposed to start in ten minutes. Letting out a short sigh, Marian shoved her phone back into her pocket and looked up in time to see a familiar face walking toward her.
Marian arched an eyebrow at the man but didn’t try and keep the grin from spreading over her face. “Hey, Rev. You and the captain over there are late.”
Roland Allen was better known by his old military designation R3V4N and seemed to prefer it, too. He was a large man and appeared even larger when he stopped in front of Marian’s chair, holding a hand out for her to shake. “Hey, Sheldur. Nice to see you too. My morning has been quite lovely, thanks for ask-”
Marian rolled her eyes and leaned forward to take his hand. “Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was getting to that part. Why are the two of you so late? Smith’s normally the first one at these things.”
“Privileged information, I’m afraid.” R3V4N winked as he released her hand. He braced his hands on his hips and grinned down at her. “You seem as excited as ever for training.”
“You know I always am.”
“I could swim in the sarcasm that just dripped off that sentence.”
Marian rolled her eyes and settled back into her chair. “Out of all the SWAT teams in our area, I’m the only one that’s been forced to consistently train with Smith for the past three years. I finally got the administration to let Bartram tag along. He’s been chomping at the bit to get inside of Doc’s head since I mentioned the man.”
R3V4N’s eyebrows shot up into his hairline, disappearing into a sea of fiery red, and he immediately looked to Bartram who merely looked up to offer him a smile before going back to his sketching. R3V4N looked back to Marian. “You trust him around Doc?”
Marian’s snort was loud and uncontained. “Absolutely the fuck not.”
R3V4N let out a boisterous laugh and slowly shook his head. “If something explodes, I’ll let the captain know it’s your fault.”
“My fault?”
“If Bartram and Doc get along and blow something up, you were the one who got them into the same room so they could interact.”
“And Smith is always looking to blame me for something.”
R3V4N shrugged, tucking his hands into his pockets. “It’s not like you're not just as eager to throw him under the bus.”
“I would like to actually throw him under a bus,” Marian muttered under her breath.
Either R3V4N didn’t hear her or elected to ignore the jab. Marian would have bet on the latter if the smirk on his face was anything to go by. “If they make anything explode, I’m blaming Smith and you as I eat popcorn and watch from the sidelines.”
“I refuse to accept blame if it ever happens.”
R3V4N just shrugged and glanced over his shoulder. He took a moment to study Smith before looking back at her. “You should let me take out for lunch later today.”
Marian cocked an eyebrow. “I’m loathe to say no to free food-”
“Then don’t.”
“But I will if Smith is there. Watching us try to kill each other over lunch might be considered entertaining for you and Bartram, but Smith and I would take it too far.”
R3V4N shook his head. “Cap’ has other plans. He’s getting dragged into a meeting with The Admin.” He paused. “I didn’t tell you that.”
Marian schooled her features into neutrality despite the shock of surprise that zipped up her spine. “The Admin?”
“All I can say, unfortunately. Lunch?”
“You don’t wanna eat with your squad?”
“I see them all the time. You, I only get to see twice a year, maybe four if I’m lucky. Honor me with your presence and get lunch with me. I’d like to find out if I need to avoid Bartram and Doc when they’re together.”
Marian slowly started nodding. “Yeah, sure, okay. Lunch it is. You pick the place. I'll do anything except sushi.” Her lips turned down in a frown and she locked eyes with R3V4N. “You have any idea why Smith is meeting with The Admin?”
R3V4N was silent for a long moment. He glanced at a sleek looking watch on his wrist. “Even if I had any idea, I couldn’t tell you. As it is, I have no fucking clue.”
“Well, it’s his problem. I’m perfectly fine with that.”
R3V4N grinned. “I’m sure you are. Your squad is downstairs, right?”
Marian nodded. “I have a couple of sims with them for about an hour after lunch.”
“Good luck. I better find a seat with Cap’ before the big wigs come in and yell at me for still standing up.” R3V4N touched two fingers to his brow and sketched a shallow bow before strolling back over to Smith. Smith glanced up when the other man arrived and offered him a quick smile before his eyes flicked over to Marian. He studied her for a moment and when he made eye contact, Marian crossed her arms over her chest and raised both eyebrows. His nose wrinkled and he looked away.
“And the urge to make him eat his own teeth grows yet again.” Marian clenched her jaw and hunkered down in her chair.
“You’ll be able to ignore it for one week, I’m sure.”
“We’ll see about that.”
Marian could feel Bartram’s attention shift to her. “Are you ever going to tell me why you hate Captain Smith so much?”
Marian ignored her lieutenant and almost felt guilty when she heard the man let out a quiet sigh. He began to carefully pack away his sketchbook and pencils and didn’t push the issue. She was grateful he was willing to move on so quickly. Marian closed her eyes and tipped her head up to the ceiling.
Marian and Jordan Smith had been butting heads for the three years they had known each other. Marian’s oldest daughter was insistent it was because they were too similar and had witnessed the worst of each other when they first met and Marian was sure it was just because Jordan Smith was a complete and utter asshole.
The first time they had met was… disastrous. Marian hadn’t slept for more than two hours at a time for a week and having to leave her newest foster child - a small boy named Crux who was still with her and she was still in the process of adopting - with her brother had knotted Marian’s nerves so tightly she had shaken through the entire drive to the training building and then through the rest of the week as well.
In hindsight, Marian was surprised she hadn’t punched him sooner.
He had breezed into the room like he owned the place and Marian hadn’t known that, as captain, he practically did. His confidence wasn’t the issue. It was the argument about strategy that had turned her vague frustration into outright rage. Marian couldn’t even remember what the damn argument had been about, all she remembered was hopping the conference table and her fist connecting with his jaw.
The hit he landed on her liver had hurt like a bitch.
It was one of the handfuls of things she reluctantly respected about the man.
They had never managed to make up after that cataclysmic fight. Surprisingly, the incident hadn’t gone on either of their records, and Marian was still forced to work with Smith and his team.
Marian hated to admit it and would only do so under extreme duress, but when she and Smith weren’t fighting and were actually working together, they made a formidable team.
It was truly a shame that Marian would rather have her teeth pulled than work with Smith any more than she absolutely had to.
When Marian heard the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps, she blinked her eyes open and forced herself to sit up straight in her chair. Glancing at the doorway, she saw two men in suits walk into the room and head straight to the TV screen and computer. The room fell silent when they entered. Marian bit back her smile; not a single officer in the room liked the men in business attire that started out leading these meetings.
Marian settled into the chair, keeping her back straight and the rest of her posture relaxed. This first meeting wasn’t scheduled to be longer than half an hour and then they would be beginning the first of the day's simulations. Bartram straightened up beside her and he leaned forward, eager to begin. Marian wished she had even a third of his energy. It would make the day go by faster.
Marian let her eyes flick over to Smith one final time before she turned her attention to the ceiling and let the droll tones of the men in suits wash over her. She closed her eyes and braced herself for the long, boring day ahead of her.
