TTPD Poetry Week 3: You Are In Love
You Are In Love (Jen's Version)
You leap off the edge with trust in your heart,
Our hands intertwined, we fall together for miles.
Under the moon, under the sun, where did it start?
Are you here with me? I can feel your touch, your trials.
Reality is better than my dreams, I can see you through it all.
Even in the dark, even with the pain, you are the light.
In every battle, with every strike and blow to my soul
New dreams, new fights, never standing alone.
Let us walk into the heart of what we feel.
On every mountain, from every shore,
Vengeance on my past, love from every pore.
Every day I swear I want you more.

My guide to mental health:
Eat, drink, sleep, shower!
Never doubt your worth!
Talk (my DMs are always open)!
All feelings are valid feelings!
Learn to care for yourself!
Hug a friend (if you like hugs)!
Every day is a new day!
A good friend will support you!
Leave the house for a walk!
Try fun activities and hobbies!
Helplines are always available!

Please, please, please do not try to go through all of this alone, Anon.

(obsessed)
open me. open me.
bleed me dry, make it
shallow. it’s suicide tonight, my
echo. elevate me… to high heaven.
see my face in the mirror.
stomach the thought of
eating me alive. autocannibalist.
destroy me. let’s destroy me.

or am i surrounded by
perfect sunsets and
eclectic people who all
crave love and hope and kindness, who too
occupy this beautiful world and
realise
everything will be alright

January Acrostic Poem
Journey through frosty landscapes,
A blanket of snow draped over the earth,
Nestled in the arms of winter's embrace,
Underneath the pale, silvery moon,
Arctic winds whisper tales of the season,
Radiant snowflakes dance in the crisp air,
Yearning for warmth, yet finding beauty.

TTPD Poetry Week 3: The Outside
The Outside (Jen's Version)
The loneliness pushes through skin with force, seeping into the bone.
How hard I try, how much I yearn to never be on my own.
Every moment is precious, every memory is gold.
Oh, to ask, to beg for more, would it be so bold?
Under the stars, I hold my own hand, she won’t let go.
The whispers of a heavy past cling like boots covered with snow.
Secure on the inside, how did I end up here?
I’d give it all, I’d bare my soul, don’t leave me alone, my dear.
Dodging imaginary bullets, violence in my mind
Each day I wait, pace until nightfall, checking to see if the stars have aligned.

Find the accidentals that somehow work
Under every breath an offensive lurks
Maybe it’s ugly. Baby, it’s me
Every outcome ends with a plea
Save me from myself
