A belated St. Patrick’s Day, and Happy Easter if you celebrate! Sadly, I had a busy March, so this month’s rec list is short and sweet!

Cass is trying her damnedest not to drown. She doesn't want anyone else to drown either. She just wants to be good. She is maybe, just maybe, not okay.

charity by Valkrin (gen), 7k, Different First Meeting, Bad Parent!Drakes The biggest downside of being adopted by Bruce Wayne is putting up with rich people events, including one where Jason will be in a room with a bunch of rich kids for a couple very long hours while Bruce goes to the adults' meeting. Jason is ready for a very bad time but the Drake kid listens to him from the start and keeps backing up Jason's ideas even though they've never met. Jason warms up to Tim Drake long before Mad Hatter tries to take over the meeting and Tim backs him up again.

When something is wrong with your big brother, who else do you turn to but your big sisters?

Fatherhood for Dummies by Havendance WIP, (gen), 6k, Batman Comics, POV Jack Drake When Tim runs away to No Man's Land, it takes Jack far too long to realize that he's gone. Once he does though, he'll do anything he can to get him back.

THE WITCHER Flung to Catch a Star by inexplicifics WIP, (Eskel/Geralt/Jaskier), 63k, Accidental Warlord AU      Morvran Voorhis, first-ranked prince of Nilfgaard, has been sent to Kaer Morhen on a diplomatic mission. His tasks are twofold: first, negotiate a nonaggression treaty between the wild barbarian Warlord of the North and the Nilfgaardian Empire. And second, ingratiate himself with the mysterious Warlord’s daughter and heir apparent, Princess Cirilla.      Sir Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach, a Vicovaran knight, has been assigned to protect young Prince Voorhis on this mission. Prince Voorhis may be the best of a bad lot, but Cahir’s still not looking forward to the threats or the temperature of a winter in the distant North.      They both know their mission is a dangerous one. But they don’t know where the true danger lies…and while they know how to navigate Nilfgaard’s treacherous court, they are not prepared for Kaer Morhen. This is a mission they might not survive…and if they do, they might be changed beyond all recognition.

HARRY POTTER Three Body Problem by cabezas_de_vaca (gen), 43k, Alternate Hogwarts House Sorting To the girl with the bushy hair and the hungry mind, the Hat says RAVENCLAW; To the boy with the scar and the ask of otherwise, the Hat says SLYTHERIN; To the sixth son who has already chosen the two others, from a chance encounter on a train, the Hat says HUFFLEPUFF; and Flitwick is delighted and Sprout is intrigued and Snape is resigned, to say the least. Or: Perhaps the trio is inevitable everywhere, but in this variation, none of them are in Gryffindor, and they do their best to build things anyway.

CROSSOVER While You Were Missing by basil_coffee_and White Collar x Batman (Jason Todd/Roy Harper), 23k, Accidental Baby Acquisition, Jason!Neal A familiar redheaded child darts across the bullpen with a shout of “PAPA!” and barrels into Jason’s arms. “Lian–” He breathes. Jason's undercover work as Neal Caffrey is difficult for several reasons. He didn't anticipate that single parenting would be one of them, though.

Accidental Warlord modern AU?

Anyone already got heds/ideas on how inexplicifics' AWAU gonna look loke in the future?

Not just 5/10/20-year timegap (thought they might be interesting too!), but a couple of centuries up ahead.

I wanna know more about modern Continent, and how the Wolf Lands existed throught rises and falls of other kingdoms. Are they still intact, or it's just a bunch of memories like Roman Empire to us nowadays? And what about Wolf Law? Do they still have Ciri as immortsl warlady-sorceress-witcher, or she became tired at some point and decided to step out of world arena? Do Geralt and other witchers still live, or it was (obviously) too much even for their mutated bodies to last that long? (maybe only Geralt and his loves wll last, cept alive both by his doubled mutations and Ciri's willingness not to let her dads fade into oblivion?)

Exist witchers at all in this modern Continent (aka magic and monsters and sorceress still being whidespread), or it looks basically like our worls just with another history and background, all magical creatures long gone and considered just fairytales for children?

I wanna hear your ideas about this!

I have only read the first Witcher book, played a few hours of the first game, and watched season 1 plus 2 episodes of season 2. I have read somewhere around 2 million words (low end estimate, Accidental Warlord alone gets me over half a million, I just didn't want to look up words counts on other works/series and do math) words of fanfiction. I am so deeply invested in this fandom but at the same time could not care less about what's actually going on in the source material.

There's a plunny in my head and it's refusing to leave. I don't know if I'll wrote it but here's the plunny:

Lambert had a twin brother named Keegan who stayed behind when Lambert was given to a witcher as payment. While Lambert went to Kaer Morhen, trained, survived the grasses, and became a witcher, his twin brother lived with their abusive alcoholic father. Until one day, the man killed his wife. Keegan, in a fit of rage, ended up having a conduit moment and killed his father. As he buried his mother and father near the cemetery, a mage from Ban Ard came for him and took him to Ban Ard to be trained as a mage, renaming Keegan in the process.

Many years later, after the witchers banded together and created an empire under the Warlord of the North, Lambert's brother left Ban Ard and went to Kaer Morhen, wanting to join the Warlords empire and help protect the people. He also hoped to find out what had happened to his ten minute older brother, Lambert.

Upon reaching Kaer Morhen and being allowed to stay, he also met Lambert. The reunion didn't go well. Lambert had firmly believed his little brother was long dead by now. And yet here was a mage called Berath who looked exactly like him. Seeing him was a shock for Lambert and his first instinct was to grab a silver dagger to test for a doppler, curse like a sailor, and toss insults at the mage who looked almost exactly like him, monster scars not included.

Figuring that being insulted and cursed at was better than no contact at all the mage traded insults back, giving as good as he got. He wasn’t about to let his brother walk all over him. From then on, the two regularly traded barbs, insults, and curses, both acting like utter assholes to each other. It took months before someone, fed up by the increasingly getting worse fights, pointed out to Lambert that the mage smelled a lot like him and suggested that maybe they were related. Berath was confused when Lambert proceeded to tackle him in the courtyard and began sniffing him, only to reel back when Berath called him Lamby and told him to stop suffocating him. Lambert fled, because Lamby was what his brother Keegan had used to call him and fuck if the mage was his brother...
