having a very Bad Time right now so its time for me to infodump abt warrior cats to calm myself down because Thats My Coping Mechanism Fuck You

so a lil while ago i was uhhhh thinkin bout this one oc. who's name is um. darkstar. u know him, u hate him, he's a lil bitch boy bastard man. BUT. i have decided to give him an incredibly sad backstory (not to excuse every Bad Thing that he did i just um. like to make my characters suffer. ahaha) so :))))

so he was born to snowstar (leader of thunderclan) and uhhhhhhh cedarstar (leader of .......... shadowclan). he was an only child, didnt have any siblings, and when he was born snowstar recieved a message from starclan about him that was basically like "he's halfclan........and you and cedarstar are both leaders.........neither of you can take the kits in......." and snowstar was like "oh fuck. you're right. im fucked. oh fuck" so THIS BITCH JUST ??????? STRAIGHT UP ABANDONS HIM???? she leaves him as far away from thunderclan and shadowclan as she can, hoping that he will just. stay away and not come back.

but somehow, cedarstar finds the kit while taking a walk around the territory, and is like "hmm......now who in the fresh fuck would just abandon their kit out in the forest........whaddafuck" so he takes the kit back to shadowclan and names him darkkit. he doesnt know that the kit is his.

meanwhile in thunderclan, snowstar is PANICKING bcause she fucking JUST NOW REALIZED that she just!!!! straight up abandoned her own kit!!!!!!! just cause starclan told her to!!!!! and so like. she is REASONABLY upset by all of this. she WANTS her kit back. but by this point she realizes that someone must've already taken him in. and she cant just waltz in and be like "gimme my kit back". so she decides to just......wait. in hopes that one day she'll see him, recognize him, and be like "THATS MY BOY GIVE HIM HERE."

ok so timeskip to the gathering. this is darkpaw's first gathering, so, naturally he is Excited. little does he know that this is when um. shit's about to go down. they get to the gathering and as snowstar climbs up the tree to her branch, she scans the clearing in search of darkpaw. and she finds him...........in shadowclan. and yknow what? she gets angry. she gets MAD. she gets PISSED OFF. so when the rest of the leaders jump onto the tree, she is the first one to speak. and yknow what she says? she says that shadowclan's newest apprentice, darkpaw, is her son. and of course cedarstar, in his mind, is like "wait.. your son? but how d.... wait........ WAIT YOUR SON????? OUR SON????????" and snowstar is just casually like "shadowclan stole him from me. i demand to have my kit back." AND THE OTHER CLANS ARE LIKE ?????? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?????? and so cedarstar is like "snowstar, you don't understand, we.. we found him on our territory. if he's your kit then why did you abandon him?"

"none of your buisness. he's coming with me."

"you can't just... take him. you know that."

snowstar glares at cedarstar with a cold look in her eyes. "he's my son."

AND YKNOW WHAT CEDARSTAR SAYS IN RESPONSE?????

HE SAYS THIS :

"...he's my son too."

AND EVERYONE GOES BATSHIT
