#AND WHAT IF THE KIRIJO GROUP FOUND OUT (BUT NOT MITSURU CAUSE SHE WOULD WANT TO MEET RUMI)
Persona 3 reload: a retrospective
A while back, I watched a let’s play of persona 3. And I hated it. I found it juvenile, nihilistic, extremely gross, and I felt like the members of sees were hardly friends, so their bonds hardly meant anything.
But, Persona 5 is a game I love, and also a long game that I’ve played multiple times, so I wasn’t sure if I was ready to play it again. And I had scrounged up enough for the new game, with me reasoning to myself that I’d have a better experience playing myself
And I was right. Everything I didn’t see in the game before came out at me in this playthrough so much I wondered if the original was ever really as bad as I thought.
So I just wanna recount a lot of the experience here. Beware of spoilers.
story and themes.
In my first watch, Persona 3’s story sort of felt like what I’d come up with at 14. Constant talks about how death is inevitable, nothing matters, and a line at the end saying our dead protagonist “found the answer” by dying which honestly made my jaw drop when seeing it. Not a good thing for someone with constant suicidal thoughts to hear, and the line struck me as tasteless, gross, and neglectful of the audience mental health.
That line is still there, and I still despise it, but this time around, I better understood the message the entire game wants to convey, that being: “Yes death is inevitable, yes nothing in life matters: which is why it’s important to live each day to the fullest and make your time matter.” This is shown by the fictional condition “apathy syndrome” a syndrome that literally makes you stand in place doing nothing forever, essentially a giving up on life that is what the villains hope to inflict on the world. The fall isn’t just an instant death. It’s plunging every human on earth into this state of apathy, and through this, they will all die while not even doing anything about this, and THATS what makes Nyx terrifying. And understanding this, it greatly raised my appreciation. The game also comes with a label warning for heavy themes and advising players to take a break if it gets too hard, which I appreciate.
There’s also a pretty good conflict with the heroes that being: the want for the world to constantly be in peril so they have something to do with their lives. This was sort of in Persona 5 with the thieves (Or really just Ryuji) soaking in popularity, but Persona 3 is a much better utilized version of this. All these people hated their lives before they became humanities saviors, and the idea of losing that purpose in life is scary to them. It’s only through their bonds with eachother they come to realize what they’re actually living for, and makes the villains Strega perfect foils, because their bonds with eachother aren’t enough. Jin obviously would give the world for Takaya, but they so easily threw Chidori away for bonding with the ones who took away their purpose. Takaya is pushed forward by pure nihilism and the ability to do whatever the hell he wants, and so he neglects the people around him. Jin dies in his final fight with you to protect Takaya’s dreams, and Takaya in his last moments wishes Jin could see the end but he didn’t. Takaya put his power trip over the only person he had left, so he was alone at the end.
I will say though, that while Strega are good villains, I don’t really like the games wishy washy handling of the Kirijo group. I’ll talk more about Mitsuru and her bond with her father when I get to characters (it’s nowhere near as bad as Haru though) but while the actions of the company are truly horrific, it sort of looks away from what it means for Mitsuru to inherit a company that caused this entire disaster then profited off of it, which like, yes I hate capitalism, but it’s also a very fascinating thread of idea that gets dropped. Also, yes, making the villains the group of orphans who were experimented on by the Kirijo group and have nothing from the heiress except a line about how she had ‘no idea’ and having the main characters work with the police, and the police being seen as a role model, and working with a coorporation is. A choice. And a huge downgrade from P5. Back to Mitsuru and the Kirijo’s though, this sort of thing could easily have been explored in her social link.
Speaking of which….
Social links and linked episodes
So when I watched that let’s play, the worst part for me was the social links. They were where a lot of personas signature brand really gross content came from, and the characters were utterly uninteresting to me. So were they bad as I remembered?
Yes and no.
One big thing I’m glad they’ve changed is that in the original game, whenever you maxed your bond with a female character you’d enter a relationship no matter what. So if you wanted to max your bond with multiple girls, then guess what! You’re cheating on your girlfriend. This lead to moments where I cringe in sympathy because Mitsuru is ranting to her fiancé about how much better and kinder the protagonist is and knowing this boy is leading on seven different girls.
Also some of the bonds were better than I gave them credit for! I loved coaching the group of kids with Yuko, being with Hayase in rough times, and helping Kamiki come to terms with his death.
Some were just as bad as I remembered though.
The hermit social link is extremely uncomfortable, having to listen to a woman who is obviously your teacher gleefully talk about her plans to get you alone to date you and the game treating this as funny and not horrific. Or Kenji talking about dating his teacher. Or a girl whose so nervous around boys so you can fix her and she becomes confident enough to protest a sign at school condemning relationships between students and teachers- what is with this game and student teacher relationships?
There’s also the problem of the best options in some of these links involve being an enabler. Yes little girl, run away from home, and only bring your insurance card, this is a great idea. If you don’t wanna take the optimal route and say that, you can tell her she deserved her parents hitting her. Yeah, in the original let’s play, I had NEVER hated a main character more than this guy and he was literally a silent protagonist.
I still really hate these moments. I could get attached to the main character (probably because I was playing as him, and there was more time in between… this. And also he wasn’t a cheater) but I still felt so ick picking what I knew was the best option.
So what about the parties links?
I think they’re a mixed bag. Yukari and Aigis have incredibly good social links about themselves and their lives, but Mitsuru’s is clearly just written with romance first, introducing a fiancé who is never mentioned anywhere else in the game for the protagonist to be better than, and Fuuka took a potentially interesting character and made her character arc about what a good cook she is. Thanks Atlus, feminist as always.
But what about the boys? Hahaha… sickos… YEEEES.
The boys in the original game did not have social links. This contributed to my original feeling like SEES weren’t friends, and my dislike towards the protagonist that you couldn’t hang out with any of your roommates who weren’t romance options to cheat on, but reload fixes this. Well, sorta.
Instead of social links, you have ‘linked episodes’ with the boys where you spend a day together and get stat upgrades, and I LOVED this. Often during these episodes the rest of sees would come together and hang, and even if they didn’t, the character insight offered felt worthwhile and like they had bonded. This and study sessions with the group, seeing Yukari Junpei and the protagonist spending time as a group chatting after school, and nightly activities where you could chill with your dormates after dark contributed so much to making these bonds feel more real, and making me believe they’re friends. Even if it’s just the protagonist hanging out with Akihiko on his own, you still get bits of him talking about Shinji and Mitsuru that make it feel alive. I LOVE how sometimes if you go to Tartarus one person won’t be able to make it because they’re out, or they’re studying, or they’re just not feeling it. It makes you feel like you need to take everyone’s schedules to heart. I’m aware that last feature is in the original, but it feels a lot more meaningful to play it for myself.
I’m getting off topic. Time to talk about
The characters
A lot of the characters in P3 I did not like on my first go. With the exception of Yukari and Junpei. And I’m glad to say I’ve come around to all of them this time around. So to go one by one:
Junpei Iori
Junpei at first seems like your typical first persona party member. He’s not very bright, he’s sexist in the way a lot of teenage boys are, and he’s seemingly just there for comic relief.
Then the game flips the script. You realize Junpei is insecure of you. You realize that his girlbestie who teases him all the time, may actually be getting under his skin. You realize that he’s so deeply and utterly sad, and finding out that the entire world would crumble without him is the best thing that happened in his life.
And then he meets the first love of his life.
Chidori and Junpeis romance is so well written, and makes me wish the games would make more romances for your party members instead of the obnoxious romance system that exists where the developers think if the player can’t date any woman that moves they’ll keel over dead.
Junpei finds with Chidori the first girl he doesn’t just think of as someone to hit on for the man points. He finds a genuine crush, someone he cares about the safety and well being of, and a reason to keep going and saving the world because Chidori is in it. And Chidori finds much of the same in him. Watching Junpei turn from a womanizing creep into the sweet guy who waits at Chidoris hospital bed every day was something that even in my first watch had me gnashing my teeth about how Yosuke and Ryuji didn’t touch this level. So yeah. Junpei is great and so is his character arc.
Yukari Takeba
Yukari was the other character I was attached to first run. Mostly because the lets player kept talking about how much he hated her and nothing makes me love a female character more than male audiences treating her like shit, but I was also just attached to her relationship with Junpei. They were the only characters that to me felt like genuine friends, and you could see by the way they’d jab at eachother back and forth.
And I was glad for her headstrong nature. She was the one questioning what was really going on, and she could be mean, and angry, and unpleasant. She could kinda suck, and I appreciated her for that. The scene in my first time where she tries to cheer up Junpei by teasing him and it backfires miserably lived in my head rent free for a while.
And while my opinions of Junpei being a good character pretty much stayed the same this time, my love for Yukari skyrocketed. I realized how endlessly loving she is, and yet how emotionally stunted her beginnings made her, with her dads death, her moms distance, and her friends leaving her behind. I loved when I realized ‘Oh. It’s not just that one time. Junpeis been bothered by her teasing since the beginning, but it’s her expression of love because she’s afraid of vulnerability.’ I loved how she connected with the protagonist, she found someone in a similar situation, but she could still be an asshole to him sometimes because she’s messy and complicated (and side note: I think I ship shuyuka now.)
So yeah. Yukari is a ten out of ten character.
Akihiko Sanada
I thought this guy had no personality the first time around. What was I thinking? Oh boy, I love this dork.
Akihiko going on about bolstering his muscles but can’t bolster his social skills enough for a normal conversation (Mr Autism my good friend) is already endearing to me, but what really comes in clutch is his relationships to Mitsuru and Shinji.
Aki is the only person in the group who doesn’t really see Mitsuru as an authority figure, disobeying her orders from the very start to not push himself, and pushing her buttons a little, a far cry from how she’s essentially the leader (yes I know the protagonist is the textual leader but let’s be real. Mitsuru is the leader.) and they’re a bond I feel like I neglected my first time around.
But let’s talk Shinji.
Akihiko and Shinji are a tragedy and despite knowing how it ended every step of the way this time, I couldn’t help getting attached. Aki losing the only friend he had as an orphan was not all at once but a slow burn. It’s easy to see coming, and yet Akihiko is Sisyphus pushing that boulder up the hill, hoping this time, things can go back to normal with every time he tries to talk him into joining, not realizing the boulder is already falling to the man’s death and Shinji knows it.
I think his final awakening and development happened to fast after that though. Like at least give the man more than a day of his best friend being dead before you make him have his big revelation.
Okay that’s pretty much all my thoughts but one last thing: I didn’t realize how hilariously gay coded he is my first time. He has crowds of adoring girls around him but doesn’t talk to any of them and instead goes to hang with the guys. He’s best friends with Mitsuru and romance isn’t hinted at once. Why are you as a man so obsessed with Shinji, hm?
Fuuka Yamagishi
I think Fuuka has an incredibly strong entrance into the game.
Her status as a navigator is like any person playing their first persona game and gets the navigator, pretty weak at first. Until you realize how powerful she really is. And I think that’s a good metaphor for her character. Turning her bully into her best friend shows her kindness, but also her strength at how she got Natsuki to respect her, not through brute strength but just by being good to her and saving her, and began to spend time with her because of this respect.
Unfortunately, Fuuka is pretty stagnant through most of the story.
I’m glad for some things like her bond with Yukari, and how she finds out the truth behind the Kirijo’s, but it seems like most of this is frontloaded while she takes a backseat to other plotlines, and most of her lines just seem to be her using her persona.
She does get one last incredible scene though in her evolution. When Natsuki leaves and gives Fuuka encouragement, I honestly did feel tears in my eyes for this friendship and the growth Fuuka had knowing she had people who loved her, in both Natsuki and SEES. I speak as someone who usually HATES the bully and victim become friends trope when I say they were a highlight.
So Fuuka isn’t my favorite but she’s a worthy character. I would fix some stuff, but I care her.
Mitsuru Kirijo
This is another character I found bland and uninteresting my first time. I can’t believe how dumb I was.
Okay, so there’s problems with Mitsurus character. I’ve mentioned most of them. Her social link, her becoming the heiress to the evil coorporation, etc etc. but oh goodness is she interesting.
This girl subjected herself to some implied horrific shit for the sake of correcting her families injustices. Because she didn’t want her father to live with the guilt. So she became isolated, depressed, and a bit of a ‘no fun allowed’ type. It could be argued that in the beginning she wants to rid the world of the dark hour the most.
But she’s also just a kid who shouldn’t have to subject herself to that. Her happiest moments aren’t when she’s talking to the father she wants to appease but with her found family in SEES.
As for Mitsurus dad- okay it’s not a Haru’s dad situation. I CAN see some of why Mitsuru cares about him. He’s the ‘stoic but kind’ archetype. The ‘beforetimes’ referred to are before the near end of the world was caused by this man’s father and left him feeling awful, and Mitsuru herself wanted to change that. But I still think the game glorifies him a little bit. Like hey, Strega said they were gathered by Kirijo group to learn persona summoning, and I’m pretty sure Mitsurus grandpa died in that explosion, so who was in charge of those child experiments that killed orphans? You wanna answer that game?
But okay, at the very least, I can see why Mitsuru would care for her father. He’s not as cartoonishly awful as Okumura is, he is an actual human being. And the game keeps its focus on this arc on Mitsuru where it belongs. And her big awakening is, while it’s still not great about acknowledging her dads shit, where it should be. On her realizing she has her friends.
So yes, Mitsuru isn’t as tightly written as Junpei and Yukari, but she’s still a good character.
Aigis
While most characters my first time around felt boring, Aigis felt fetishistic.
Like yes, this robot girls first action is to bury her face in the players bare chest. She watches you while you sleep. This is a running theme. Not only that, but I did not buy her transition into caring about SEES and becoming more human for reasons stated before. SEES don’t feel like friends, yadda yadda yadda.
This time around though, I saw a lot differently. Having the main character slowly bond with her as a friend outside her directive made her feel so much more like a character and not a writers fantasy. I liked little things like how she got excited over ladybugs and that made me appreciate other things like how she goes ‘maaan’ to repeat Junpei or how she gets into an argument with Koromaru. And this made her character development and realization of life’s beauty so much more impactful.
A robot who comes to understand life is a very typical trope, one that I love dearly. My first time didn’t really capture any of the magic for me, but this time around I really love Aigis.
Koromaru
Well, Koromaru is a simple character. He’s literally a dog. He does dog things. He’s implied to be smarter than the average dog. He has a backstory. But sometimes that’s all you need. He is a puppy. A creature. He’s your best friend. He’s loyal and he guarded the place of his last owner. I love you puppy.
Ken Amada
Okay, so first time, I thought Ken had the pieces of an arc that were decent but everything happened so fast. He was introduced, then the next time he did something significant it was saying his backstory and then attempted murder.
I think reloads linked episodes fixed this for me because god I wanna hug this kid. The way they imply his suicidal idealation, and how everyone in SEES sees him as a little brother, give him a family, but he just keeps ruminating on the single worst day of his life so bad he makes another. This kid has such good character development.
Shinjiro Aragaki
God I love Shinji. I love the ‘tough guy secretly loves dogs’ tropes. I love how he knows he’s doomed but still uses his last moments to try and make sure Ken doesn’t end up like him. I love how he cares about Akihiko but doesn’t want to move past his trauma. I love how he’s stuck in place as he is, refusing to let things go but is still fundamentally kind. I love Shinji.
Shuji Ikutsuki
Despite the fact I knew his betrayal was coming this time, I didn’t wanna believe Ikutsuki was a bad guy.
I loved his bad puns, his notebook full of them, how he suggested making the garden, how he just came to hang out in the living room sometimes to be supportive. I love you can catch him on camera making his bad jokes and laughing like a hyena to know that even if he was a shitty dude in the end, he genuinely loved those jokes. After everything he put you through, he was genuine when he told you his bad jokes. Which to me, is far more interesting than anything anyone has ever gleaned from Adachi.
Ryoji Mochizuki
Ryoji is honestly a very good character and I’m shocked. I’ve seen people compare him to Akechi for ‘friends who turn into antagonists’ but as much as I love Akechi, I don’t think Ryoji is anything like him.
But boy do I love him.
While the idea of a nice grim reaper has been done a million times, a kind hand guiding you towards the afterlife, (mind you I love that trope) Ryoji is the first time I’ve seen a bringer of death who hates being one. He loves life, and his friends, and the idea of it ending is scary, but inevitable and he wants to offer a choice, and it honestly feels so gut wrenching when you spend all this time waiting for him to betray you, when you realize he’s just a sweet kid who didn’t ask for this. And honestly, I think I liked him my first time around for that reason. Ryomina is a different story, but I came around to that too this time, and I don’t want this to be bogged down with thoughts on shipping.
Chidori
I pretty much got all my thoughts about Jin and Takaya down in the story section so I’ll skip right to Chidori. And I love her.
Chidori in the beginning feels like just another member of Strega. But when she gets taken to the hospital by SEES partway through, you can see that Strega were not very good to her. They don’t really care most of the game to try and free her, and we find out that she’s been self harming for a while- something Strega doesn’t just ignore, but considering Takayas philosophy, probably actively encouraged. And I like that at first, SEES aren’t equipped to handle her either. They close in and interrogate a very obviously traumatized and mentally ill girl before Junpei busts in to yell at them to give her space.
And I like how we see her passion for art. That despite her claims she cares for nothing, obviously she can’t do that. She loves art. And it’s because of Junpei she really wakes up to that.
I love Chidori
Conclusion
Honestly, I’m not sure if I can put my finger on what it was about Persona 3 that clicked for me this time. Maybe it was the linked episodes, maybe it was playing it for myself, maybe I’m just better at literary comprehension and analysis than before.
But P3 this time really stuck to me, and despite its flaws, I really do get the hype now.

Okay had a random thought and had to share it so Rumi from P5R right? We know almost nothing about her. We know her first name, she was engaged to Maruki, she was pretty dang cheeky and strong willed according to Maruki, her birthday is February 3rd, shit hit the fan one night and fucked up her life. That's all we know.
Here's what my sleep deprived brain has come up with: She has red hair, red eyes, and we don't actually know her surname... Rumi Kirijo, anyone?
ANON ANON WHEN I SAY MY JAW HIT THE FLOOR!!!!!
Like this is such a COOL IDEA???? LIKE IM ACTUALLY LOSING MY MIND IM TRYING TO FORM COMPREHENSIVE THOUGHTS?! I can't remember how old Rumi is but like what if she and Mitsuru were sisters... Or cousins even... Holy shit my brain is thinking to fast but I absolutely love this? I am going to be thinking about this all day omfg I love it. Thank you for sharing and blowing my mind anon 😳

You mentioned that Shinjiro's heavily implied to be apart of strega’s experiment and was wondering if you can elaborate more on that? It sounds really interesting
so pretty much this builds upon using evidence across different medias, namely the manga and spin off side novels, as well as taking things from the basic game.
(undercut bc this hit ~1.2k words oops)
first part is understanding what an artificial persona user is, which is what takaya, jin, and chidori all are -- artificial persona users are people who, through other means, were forced to awaken their personas. this concept exists in p2 and p3 (with special mention to sho who is technically one but had a different manifestation of the issue entirely), but p3 is what i am going to be focusing on since the info about them comes out of strega and mitsuru’s mouths in particular.
according to strega in game and mitsuru’s explanation of the experiments, artificial persona users were forced to awaken their personas unnaturally which disrupts the balance between user and persona. remembering that personas and shadows are fundamentally the same thing in the world’s rules, this means rather than having a tamed persona under control, artificial users have essentially out of control shadows that just happen to take the forms of personas. the persona of an artificial user, because it is untamed, will attempt to usurper control from the user and murder them in the process in order to possess them, which mitsuru says will cause the user to become entirely in body a shadow -- this is why most of the people from strega’s experiment are dead.
so, with that out of the way, lets examine the times this happens in actual game. we see it happen with chidori, who we know this is natural to have happen because she is an artificial user and she was apart of those experiments. there is, however, a second person who also has this occur to them: shinjiro with castor! he even explains it to akihiko in the same terms during their conversation that castor wants to kill him and this is why shinjiro takes persona suppressants.
“but shinjiro has an evoker!” so does all of strega! using an evoker essentially channels the persona in a healthy manner and allows for a controlled appearance of them, which is why strega uses them except for the final fight where takaya will hold his head and forcefully summon his without an aid, which we know is possible for the p3 cast as a whole due to how the dark hour works in relation to real life (which is explained/stated in p4 arena). this would explain why shinjiro has an evoker and why castor is under control during these segments, since it also applies to other members of strega too.
getting onto smaller details, there is very heavy bias that at least chidori and jin, and even ikutsuki, consider shinjiro apart of strega as a group rather than sees. chidori is shown to trust shinjiro and jin asserts to akihiko in the manga during the moonlight bridge fight that akihiko “will never know shinjiro like we do”, which is a taunt to infuriate akihiko after shinjiro’s death. this is, at first glance, a very weird taunt to say if you only consider the meetings every time you see in the game and subsequent retold media. there isn’t really a way to interpret this other than strega knows what its like to have an artificial persona, which adds to this that shinjiro must be considered one too. this could also be interpreted further as the bond of trauma because of the experiments, since jin is telling akihiko that his relationship with shinjiro and shinjiro’s relationship with strega is not the same and strega must be closer to shinjiro due to some undisclosed reason. there isn’t much further comment on this in the fight because again, it’s a taunt and it does its job since akihiko is pissed off at jin for saying this and attempts to punch him without further comment.
on top of that, you ever notice how ikutsuki.... doesn’t really care about shinjiro at all? for being one of the founding members of sees, even when shinjiro comes back ikutsuki doesn’t care and focuses on akihiko and mitsuru. this is only added on when considering shinjiro goes to strega for persona suppressors -- suppressors which ikutsuki hand makes and engineered to be deadly to the people who needed to take them. there is an argument to be had the reason why ikutsuki doesn’t care about shinjiro is because he knew he was dead from the beginning for needing to take the suppressors. it’s also why ikutsuki knowingly lets all of strega do whatever they want -- they’re all going to die in the end because of ikutsuki’s suppressors, which again, were hand made by him and very likely were specifically made with the death of the people taking them in mind, especially considering that the death of sees was a command built into aigis ikutsuki had control over.
back to strega though, there is actually a spin off novel about strega! it’s called shadow cry, which features strega and a book specific character named izumi. izumi is also an artificial persona user who was deemed dead by kirijo group’s books because he went mia. funny enough, there’s actually a cameo from another well known persona character in this book despite it being focused on strega. who is that character? none other than shinjiro aragaki, who shows up and saves jin’s life when he’s suddenly attacked by a shadow and refuses to tell jin why he saved him. so this book about artificial persona users has shinjiro appear, who is heavily connected to strega already, and who demonstrates all the above mentioned traits of an artificial persona user, and he refuses to answer for why he let jin live when he very well could have let jin die and no one would have known he did this? you could argue on one hand that its shinjiro being an incredibly kind person -- which, as canon shows, he is -- but why did it have to be shinjiro who saved him? couldn’t it have been anyone from sees? none of them would’ve let jin die either. why is it so important its shinjiro who saved jin? why is it important that a spin off book had to make this connection clear?
i propose it’s important because shinjiro was also in the experiments, like izumi. izumi proves the number count of living people from the experiments was wrong, so who is to say shinjiro is not also an artificial persona user and was apart of those exact same experiments? it would slot in perfectly and explain a lot of his character and how he functions, especially with why he relies so heavily on strega and doesn’t have the heart to turn his back on them. there is also the added bonus of realizing that within the trio dynamics, strega is comparable to ikutsuki, mitsuru, and akihiko (akihiko and jin are even both the only noted left handed characters in p3 to boot!), and this leaves a shinjiro sized hole in both groups to complete them.... by none other than shinjiro himself in both cases.
obviously, because shinjiro never outright says anything about any of this, you can take it with a grain of salt, but shinjiro as a character is fair to acknowledge he wasn’t meant to be given serious attention due to his status as a fridge character for ken and akihiko’s development. this is what makes it all the more weird that there is such specific detail in this whole dynamic he has with strega and the concept of artificial persona users that fits him in perfectly.

oooh identity reveals!!! In any case...
CHM: Ryuji, Maruki, Zenkichi contacted every one. It pisses Ren off, he calls for Futaba to contact Kirijo and stop their contact with Ryuji at once.
Chariot’s Mystery Part 17
Heading into an old warehouse, Ryuji along with Zenkichi and Maruki finally have a chance to relax.
“Geez...can’t we just catch a break for once?” Finding a somewhat stable chair, Ryuji takes a seat.
“We can’t just sit around. We’ve been found out, meaning we’ve put targets on everyone now.” Zenkichi whips out his smartphone, noticing that glitching app is on his phone now as well.
“It’d be best to tell everyone, yeah. But with all of us separated, there’s not much Ren can do. ...but we kind of need his Wild Card shit to even last a second against those guys.” Ryuji takes out his own smartphone.
The Chat Group:
Zenkichi: Sorry to message so late, but there’s been an urgent turn of events.
Ren: I don’t like the sound of that.
Makoto: What did Ryuji do this time?
Ryuji: HEY! Don’t go thinking this was my fault!
Maruki: A new form of the Metaverse Navigator’s appeared. Though it appears semi-corrupted, and it even reflects what the Metaverse within looks like. Almost as if it’s being coded in real-time. And shoddily at that.
Sophia: Ichinose hasn’t received such an app though, and I haven’t sensed anything Metaverse like since the Jails vanished.
Zenkichi: That’s the issue. It appeared on Ryuji’s phone first. And...when he went to activate it, not only did Maruki and I see it happen...but Sho, the guy who threatened Ryuji to cough up intel spot him..but Officer Sanada as well. And Sho ended up forcing all of us into the Metaverse, which reveled that Sanada is connected to Kirijo as well.
Ren: Tch, so we can’t even trust the Police that are rooted close to their HQ. Did they attack you?
Ryuji: Yeah, and they’re both wicked strong. That Sanada guy fights a lot like me, lightning and all. But he talked like he’s had his Persona for a lot longer. And Sho didn’t even summon his once, but the dude’s inhumanly fast and dangerous to boot.
Futaba: Well people being connected to Kirijo having Persona lines up with everything we know so far. And Mitsuru did say Sho was dangerous, which you three saw first hand. So maybe we could pump them for more intel?
Ren: No, it’s too risky now. They know Ryuji’s face. They can easily run a backlog of Shujin Students from last year and learn a good majority of our identities. Our only option is to strike a bargen with them, and hope we can get out of this mess without being unmasked.
Sophia: What do you propose we do?
Ren: We request that they cease any and all contact with Ryuji, and in return...we’ll capture Sho Minazuki for them.
Ryuji: Dude, didn’t you read what I said earlier? He didn’t even summon his Persona, he’s way too strong for us!
Ren: I’m not an idiot, Ryuji. I know a way I can make this work. Sho’s their enemy, and based on Kirijo’s actions...an enemy of our enemy is a Confidant.
Maruki: So wait...you’re gonna use Sho as a Trojan Horse?
Ren: It’s a way to get into their good side and actually judge them for who they actually are. If they don’t see through our actual intentions that is. Futaba, open up the access point for Kirijo, I’m talking to Mitsuru one on one this time.
Futaba: Sure thing!
Kirijo HQ:
Akihiko had just stopped in to let Mitsuru know what had happened, and Mitsuru’s reaction was both of shock and annoyance.
“So, in the chaos of all that, Sho escaped again?” She folds her arms. “Letting one cause of crisis escape is why we can’t take action against any of these cases officially.”
“But I encountered three Phantom Thieves as well, confirming Sakomoto’s connection to the group. But the other two never appeared in Shido’s Broadcast Calling Card...which means there’s more members then we’re aware of.”
Akihiko and Mitsuru’s conversation is cut short however, as a monitor behind them bears the “Take Your Heart” logo once again.
“Is that...them contacting us again?” Akihiko questions, turning to the screen.
“It’s just a single monitor and not the whole system this time...” Mitsuru notes. “I hope you realize the more you do this, Joker, the more we’ll figure out your location.”
“It seems we didn’t need to wait for another incident to find out your true colors. You want to prove your innocence to us, yet one of your own attacked one of ours.” Joker states, voice hidden like always but the sound of dissatisfaction rings true.
“Akihiko, did you actually attack him?” Mitsuru asks.
“He was trying to flee, what else could I have done? It’s like you said, we don’t know if they’re innocent so I was going to try to bring them in for questioning.” Akihiko responds.
“Sadly, as per our agreement, we’ll not hesitate to target you. We might not have evidence of you being the cause of the Breakdowns, but you’re making an enemy of us just by starting conflict.”
“You just wanted an excuse to attempt a change of heart on us, didn’t you?” Mitsuru glares at Joker’s hidden face. “I dare you to try it.”
“Don’t be absurd, we know we can’t change your heart. But, if you want a show of good faith still, you just need to agree to one thing: stop targeting Skull. If you can keep good on that, we’ll do what we can to bring this...Sho Minazuki to your doorstep. If he’s truly as dangerous as you say, it might be best if he’s dealt with in the proper manner.” Joker smirks, which is slightly visible even through the filters.
“So you’re asking that we cease investigation into your group and you’ll help us capture Sho?” Mitsuru questions this odd deal. “What would you even get out of bringing him to us?”
“We protect the public by exposing truth and locking away threats. Sho just happens to fall into the latter. Even if you said no, we’d still capture him ourselves and take full credit. But, us bringing him to you will grant the credit of his capture to your group. Sound better now?”
The proportion didn’t sound bad, and in Mitsuru’s eyes this would mean a possible face to face interaction with someone with the group. Though she questions how a group of inexperienced Persona Users could even attempt to capture Sho. But she’s been surprised before, after all.
“Fine, we accept your deal. We’ll lay off your group for the time being. Just don’t give us any reason to break that promise.”

Various Scenes from Nier: Automata/Persona (and Nier too) crossover idea.
This isn’t an entirely cohesive story sadly, more a series of scenes I came up with a couple months ago. Read below for fanfic intermixed with general story ideas. This set is mostly dealing with Mitsuru Kirijo (with some Aigis too)
Being a Nier crossover there’s some death and people doing bad things for what they think are good reasons. So basically little bits of drama and not scattered fluff below.
1. Rough Imprinting Scene
Note: This is the earliest (within the chronology of the plot anyway) scene so I put it first. For a couple reasons I thought it would be interesting to write about Mitsuru, even far into the future of the Nier timeline. There were a couple ways to do that, but I went with one that would allow for certain interesting character interactions/revelations far later. Namely that Mitsuru used the native magitech of her own company to get around the WCS by imprinting her consciousness/soul into an android body.
--->
The moment she felt the draw upon her soul every instinct cried out for her to call Artemisia back. Even as she now was, older, flesh tainted by that abomination's filth, she knew the touch of true death like a lover's caress. Her evoker may as well have been a real firearm for what she was doing. And she knew it. The fear became nearly paralyzing.
But she held on, holding her focus on the glowing, brilliantly incandescent crystalline structure before her. Till a spike of pain shot through her nerves and her vision swam with spots of red and black. She fell forward.
And plunged into that light.
It burned away sight.
It burned away touch.
It burned away mass and motion and everything.
She was thoughts captured in blue amber, the concept of herself in a dimming cage of which she could not conceive of an exit. Her memories, her mind, her soul... all of it was there. But there was nothing within her new home.
She relearned fear first. Trapped in the abyss. And with that came the first response. A Papillon Heart was after all transcendental computation system. To be within it she would become it. Her memories carved lines and new structures, painting recollected sensations. But still there was no outside sensation. Only a numbing limbo.
They had feared this possibility. That she would not, could not adapt to it. That Aigis would one day have to simply destroy her self-made prison to set her soul free.
The thought that she would be forced to do that brought her focus away from the tracing of her mind into the circuits. She had to find away out. She had to reach out and feel the wires that had replaced nerves, the cables that wound around metal bones, the more mundane computer systems that would let her see and hear. She threw herself into the change. Feeling the connections that led out eventually and following them.
Into alien systems. Things her human mind could only have understood from the outside.
But she was within the Papillon Heart now, and the plasticity of it let her change and move parts about. Shift and redraw the connections. Till she understood what it was like to be what she had become. To feel the sensitive wires that led from her memory circuits into the core of her being, that would let new experiences, and new sights become part of her.
Her sense of time was still gone. But eventually she located the internal chronometer.
2032, August 24.
It had been three months. It had felt like mere minutes. How long had it taken for her to move even to this first step outside of the core? How long had Aigis been standing vigil over her silent body. By now the salt that had been her original flesh would long have been taken away for storage and eventually disposal. Hopefully after the contaminants had been removed for later expulsion from their world.
The nature of how she would move escaped her, something that had been so simple as a child seemed to have been forgotten in her change. So instead she didn't bother for the moment. Simply focusing all her intent on finding the path that would let her open her eyes.
Two days later she managed that much. She found the world looked so different. The colors slightly off, the details sharper. Of course it was far too bright at first. It took her an hour before she realized that she should adjust the parameters of her vision to her liking.
And even though she didn't show it on her face she felt radiant when she saw Aigis smiling down at her.
--->
Post Note: In truth I now feel the time taken for Mitsuru to re-awake should be on the order of centuries to better fit with the story. Later snippets go in that direction.
Part of this is to work with the change in Aigis own character over those intervening years in solitude.
2. Visiting the Replicant Village
Note: This continues from (the updated ideas) of the previous snippet. Along with Aigis own hypothetical character arc. Namely that she would be the Devil arcana of the social links and her regret and eventual redemption would be of major importance moving forward.
(The long years of solitude with her friends either dead or hibernating as the world ended didn’t treat her well.)
--->
3325, January 11
It took a day to reach the city. Not that she could tell without checking her internal clock. The sun never set and night never came. The strange unreality of this future felt stranger and more unfamiliar to her than anything else that had happened. Even her own new body, a mere simulacrum of the flesh of her birth, was not as strange as the world around her.
She had escaped the fate of the human race by escaping humanity itself. Yet despite that Mitsuru felt like she'd changed less than anything else.
Or anyone else.
"We're arriving soon. Don't mention anything about Project Gestalt or our own nature to the Replicants. They're already getting hard to control effectively."
Aigis's words were an understatement. The town before them had armed guards patrolling the entrance, simple swords and spears, but more than enough to cause problems. They'd already heard reports of Gestalts that had headed directly to their Replicant doubles, attempted re-unification, and been cut down by the panicked clones when it failed.
Now guards were standing watch to prevent the invasion of more 'shades.' And the problems were getting worse. There were millions of Gestalts awakening, more and more everyday. The emotional distress of their persistent separation from their own flesh was reacting with the maso in their bodies.
Gestalts had started to become... unstable. They needed to move forward more quickly. Locate the first grimoires and make sure they had a supply of maso from the Original.
Before they ran out of time. Or the Replicants made their job even harder.
There's not enough of us to enforce order. Not enough androids. Mitsuru wondered if not recoiling from that thought meant her soul imprinting project had been even more flawed than originally anticipated. A millennia of torpor was quite the oversight after all. But unlike the Gestalts there was nothing temporary about her new body. She felt no dysphoric reaction, no sense of wrongness. She didn't wake in a cold sweat, or what should have been cold sweat, terrified of her own body. There were no persistent phantom limb sensations, or sensory errors. Despite the fact that she would likely exist as she now was till time or tragedy ended her, she had not a sign of the struggles that plagued her fellow humans. I wonder if they'll still consider me one when they're back in their bodies again.
Her transformation had been one way, and there would be no pretending to be human like Aigis had so long ago. All the awakening Gestalts that had the good fortune to find the androids first knew who and what they were.
Even after they world was made whole, her life would be very different.
"Hey Miss! Are you related to Devola and Popola? Like a cousin or something? Cause you both got really pretty hair."
A young boy had ran up and asked Mitsuru, egged on by a group of children behind him. She froze. Shocked by how human the supposedly soulless vessels seemed in that moment. Her stuttered response coming after a long, awkward pause. "N-no. I mean sort of. You could say we're related in some sense... technically."
All androids bare some relation to the Kirijo Groups original work. And I did both hand over that data to the Hamelin Organization and spearhead further developments as part of the imprinting experiment. Even back then she'd realized that her new body would have to be closer to human than what Aigis had had if she wanted to adapt to it. Perhaps if she'd had the various minor and major improvements that now existed back then it wouldn't have taken so long. That Aigis had shared a bottle of wine with her when she'd come out of her intensive inspection and long overdue maintenance had been shocking enough. Getting drunk off it and spending the evening reminiscing about the good old days, back when all her friends had been alive, exuberant after stopping Nyx.
Before they'd remembered what the price had been for that victory.
"Come on now," Aigis said, grabbing hold of Mitsuru and dragging her a way from the child. "We can't waste time talking to them."
Mitsuru noticed the tone Aigis used to refer to the now conscious Replicants, and leaned in closer to harshly whisper, "He's only a child Aigis."
"No, he's just a body waiting for that child. The Replicants are produced as clones of who will inhabit them. Right down to their ages." She gestured to the other young among the crowd. "Children held out against the disease quite well after all. There are a lot of them waiting out there. Desperate and longing to live again. We can't allow them to die like that."
She didn't argue the point. But looking back, seeing the group resuming some newly invented game she dreaded the conflict before her. There were Gestalts that needed those bodies. And all around her were Replicants that would likely stand before them to their dying breaths. The difficulties in forcing unification even in laboratory conditions now that the Replicants had consciousnesses proved that they were going to have to move forward to a more severe solution.
"Director, I wasn't expecting you," Devola said. Picking up her lute she stood quickly and bowed as they approached. Though her eyes flicked back and forth between Aigis and Mitsuru. An unspoken question hanging in the air.
"This is Mitsuru Kirijo. She's working with us." Aigis didn't ask for Devola to follow them, she simply started walking towards another building in the village. Where the other twin would be present.
Mitsuru stepped back and opened her mouth. Closing it again as she realized she didn't know what to say. She'd barely spoken to anyone other than the Gestalts or Aigis herself. This android... she'd been activated after Mitsuru's long slumber had begun.
Devola took the initiative instead. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mitsuru. Though I'm surprised by your name. I wouldn't have thought... well no matter."
Popola rose to greet them as well. Hurrying forward to close the door and lock it after they entered the library. Motioning to a pair of chairs as she seated herself and her sister came to stand behind her. "So, what can we do for you Director Aigis?"
"I want to know what you're doing to counteract the Replicant problem. I saw armed guards when we entered. That should not be happening."
"You can't very well expect them not to defend themselves," Devola said. Immediately wilting under the glare she received. "I-I mean it's just human nature after all! They're scared of the 'shades' as they call them coming to take their bodies."
"I don't care if they're scared. Those aren't their bodies in the first place."
"Their fear... their emotional distress," said Popola, holding her sister's hand to calm her, "it makes attempted re-unification even harder. More likely for... problems to develop."
"What about the alternative then? Have you or the Original located the first Grimoire Noire yet?"
"No. The number of copies makes it difficult. But the Original has some connection from the pact he created. They will be brought together when the time is right."
Aigis shot up, her hands slamming down on the desk, the wood cracking under the pressure. Her voice low despite the outburst. "When the time is right? When precisely do you expect that to be? When all the humans have been driven mad? When they're all dead? Waiting till the last minute should not be considered an acceptable solution to this problem."
"I'm sure they're doing the best they can Aigis," Mitsuru said. Hesitating for a moment before turning to Devola and Popola. "What if we tried to manage their fear? Explain to them what's going on? Maybe we... could achieve some sort of synthesis?"
They never got the chance to respond. Aigis turned to look at Mitsuru, the twins relaxing now that her fury was focused elsewhere. "Synthesis? Do you have any idea what you're proposing Mitsuru? What you're asking them to do? Do you know what the Replicant of Yukari was last time? A mild serving girl that spent all her time letting people push her around. The time before that she cut her hair and spent all her time butchering fish. And before that she almost got ran out of town for sleeping around! These... deviant consciousnesses are highly divergent from those of the original human's in many cases. I cannot and will not ask them to compromise their identities and sense of self just because we weren't able to foresee this possibility."
"But what if-"
"What if it was you? What if you hadn't become an android?" Aigis said, not noticing in her anger how Devola and Popola reacted. "What if it was you waiting for your body to be returned to you? What if the impostor wearing your flesh was as simple as her hating the taste of your favorite food or as awful as her being a vile woman that spread hateful rumors about her neighbors? What if she lacked your will, your drive, and you became less of who you are now? Would you dilute your own soul with... this corruption?!"
Neither of them spoke again. Aigis realizing how she had erupted but not willing to apologize, not over this. And Mitsuru struck by how little she knew the woman that Aigis had become after all these years.
"It might not work anyway," Devola said at last. "Synthesis is only a theoretical possibility. The soul in question would have to be amazingly empathetic to their Replicant consciousness and we would then have to use them as a template for such a process, and even than with the time table given we would have to acquire both Grimoires and modify them for the new result."
"That and the Original would never agree. And... forcing the issue with him might not be an option," Popola finished for her twin. "Such an alteration of the Project Gestalt plan is beyond our authorized authority."
Aigis let out a bitter laugh. "Even after all these years you two still haven't developed proper egos yet? Or do you simply refuse to acknowledge them? Regardless, we aren't changing the plan to follow a fool's hope this late. We can't afford such a risk."
What are we risking by not doing it Aigis, Mitsuru thought. Thinking about those children in the street. And the children that were also waiting for those bodies too. Did one of them have to die for the other? But can I really ask them... ask Yukari and the others to settle for that? Sharing their bodies, sharing their very souls?
She hadn't had to. She'd simply been reborn into a body electric, a form only superficially human. And while she was different now she remained herself. And it had been a risk she had knowingly taken. The millions of Gestalts had not done so.
They expected to return to their own bodies and theirs alone. Many of them wouldn't settle for less either.
--->
Post Note: The other major point is that the conflict between Aigis and Mitsuru over how to deal with the Replicants would be the seed that lead to a breakdown in their relationship and millennia without speaking.
One idea suggested was that Yukari survived as a Gestalt and played peacemaker between them. Up till she relapsed and ended up being killed before she could go on a rampage. With Aigis and Mitsuru blaming themselves for her death.
3. Unexpected Reunion (Nier: Automata timespan)
Note: And this is set during Nier: Automata finally, but within the context that android persona users have started to appear. Probably midway through whatever plot might be?
--->
Her troops lined up along the hanger. A ostentatious presentation perhaps, but one that she took some measure of pride in. Though they did not know that these 'inspectors' were the so-called Council of Humanity it still served to show professionalism if one appeared in person. It wasn't everyone of course, even with the downturn in deployments that recent events had triggered the command center itself still needed to be staffed. But nearly three dozen YoRHa troops stood along the sides as the shuttle pulled in. Landing in the spot prepared for it now that all the HO-229 flight units had been moved out of the way.
She stood before the opening door. Ready to greet the inspector when the disembarked, her mind going over what particulars she could emphasize to show their progress and efficiency.
And all of that falling away when she saw who stepped down.
***
White had put this off as long as possible. She'd tried to remain in the presence of the YoRHa staff, letting the Operators talk at great and unnecessary length about previous deployments, and had changed her request to have the most easily excitable Scanner unit explain new modifications they had begun to implement. All of it had failed in the end, and she had been asked to meet privately.
Repeatedly.
Eventually she had relented. Stepping into her private quarters, actually taking some pride in the mess. It was so unlike her inspector's tendencies that she was certain they found it irritating. She kicked a spare boot to the side and turned to face them. "So Kirijo, what is it you wanted to speak about?"
She frowned, looking closely at White and probably seeing her as she had been. How they had been before she'd learned the truth. Back when White had allowed herself to unknowingly be the recipient of their misplaced maternal instincts.
"White I..." she started to say. Noticing how White stiffened at the name she continued, more formally. Speaking now with the distance that stood between them. "Commander, there has been some changes with the Council recently. Nanjo is dead."
"I see then," White spoke slowly. The death of a councilor was no small matter after all. "We are prepared to take the aggressors down if necessary. Machine or android rebels."
She shook her head, her long red hair partially covering her left eye before she brushed it back. "That won't be necessary. It wasn't machine lifeforms or rebels. Nanjo had been experimenting with the reappearing shadows, attempting to merge them with androids. His... work got away from him and he was killed during an investigation by the android persona users."
2B and 9S? But...
"Why wasn't I informed of this? If YoRHa androids got involved with the council they-"
"Might encounter classified information? They did," Mitsuru said, her expression grim. "More than was expected even. The Nanjo networks contained info on the shadow experiments that they had been performing... and other, older data files. Material that had been classified above general council access even. I wasn't even aware of it."
"But you're-" White started, cutting herself off. The old argument threatened to break out again. The furious disagreement of five hundred years ago that had seen her leave the Kirijo Group to strike out on her own. Rising by her own merits to the post she now held. Instead she swallowed her anger, and asked, "What could be classified above even the council?"
"This... the secret behind YoRHa. Something far too sensitive to be transmitted through any communications channel." She handed over a secured data pad. Saying at last, "I... I'm sorry I didn't find out earlier."
White scanned it... stopping when she realized just what she was reading. She looked up again at Mitsuru, and quickly tore her gaze away. She couldn't stand to see what was there.
Pity.
Instead she read the report. Once and then again. Her hand trembling at the third time as the enormity of it all began to truly sink in. That her- their sacrifices, that all the terrible decisions she had made would never and could never have created the future she desired. A world free from the machines. What form that world might have taken White had studiously avoided thinking about. Whether it be quiet mourning and remembrance for humanity lost... or the civilization rebuilt from the rubble. Cities instead of disparate settlements, a society beyond the scattered war industries that maintained their armies. Honoring their creators by recreating what had been as best they could.
What Mitsuru had claimed should be their goal. What she had said humans would have wanted. What she would have wanted even if she had still been human.
But none of that mattered. None of that had ever mattered. Her war, her battles, all of it.
Meaningless.
She dropped the data pad. Collapsing onto her bed, staring down. Looking at her hands. Thinking of how dark they should be for all the useless blood she had spilled to fight a war she couldn't even win.
When Mitsuru sat beside her and pulled her into an embrace she didn't have the pride left to fight off. If indulging in whatever leftover instincts had transferred into Mitsuru's body when she abandoned her humanity would sooth the pain she felt now, White would do so gladly.
"This happened to me once."
White looked up, eyes wet from silent sobs. Mitsuru took note of her attention and continued speaking.
"A long time ago. Back when I was human. My friends and I... we, all of us, we fought to stop the end of the world. Or so we thought. I'd known that my family had had a part in bringing it about, but I'd had no idea that the man that was advising us had been quietly plotting our deaths the entire time." Mitsuru was looking through the window now. Down to the world of her... 'births.' The first of blood and flesh like all her race. And the second a painful, if necessary, repudiation of the first. "In the end my father died to save us, to save me."
"That must have hurt," White said, quietly. "To be left all alone like that."
"No," she shook her head, saying, "I wasn't alone. It was painful. More... more than I can describe. But I had my friends. I knew then that the world was counting on me. White... you're not alone, you don't have to suffer this burden in silence."
--->
Post Note:
So... I kept getting hit by how I saw some similarities between White and Mitsuru when I was thinking over Persona/Nier crossover material. Now there are multiple ways to pull off some sort of meeting/conversation. Time travel/dimension travel/artificial life or conjured memory. I decided to play with the idea of a method turning a persona using human into an android that I brought up in a previous snippet as the means to set this scenario up.
Within the context of this crossover White was being groomed to take a leadership role in various parts of android society that the Kirijo group managed. Mostly android manufacture, repair, and such. But because her personality lead to her being mentored more closely by Mitsuru she eventually became privy to the once-human's personal beliefs and goals. And even the revelation of her origin. Which White took to be great insult as Mitsuru truly doesn't think of herself as 'human' or having anything special that would make her better than other androids by this point.
Which is long explanation for why I wanted to write Mitsuru as the mentor/effective parental figure to White.
Final Note: (I’m probably never going to expand on this into a full story sadly. It feels to complicated and demanding, especially balancing Persona’s own magic/mythology with Nier/Drakengard’s. Still I enjoyed writing these brief explorations of the concept. The only scene I still wish I’d wrote with this was the eventual reconciliation of Aigis and Mitsuru as the rekindle their friendship after thousands of years of letting their guilt about not being able to stop the apocalypse get between them.)

Who the heck is my muse anyway:
Mitsuru Kirijo is one of the main and playable characters of the series Persona, in particular, P3, where she makes her first debut. Born into a wealthy family well-known around Japan and beyond, she is the only heiress of the company, based on economy and electronics, named the Kirijo Group. After undergoing various experiments during childhood from a secret branch of said company, all about cognitive science, she awakened to her other self or Persona to protect her father and kept doing that ever since. She, together with other users chosen in the high school of the city, creates the battling group SEES, whose hideout is Iwatodai dorm, and she makes of fighting shadows her true and ultimate goal, in order to eliminate their nest, the Tower of Tartarus, and the Dark Hour, the hidden time in which Shadows hunt down common people, making them victim of what the public knows as Apathy Syndrome.
Points of interest:
1) Her strong devotion towards her goal and the figure of her Father, that she adores and defends, is also her greatest weakness. The girl’s demeanor might seem icy, perfect and basically untouchable and gracious in its entirety, but in reality, Mitsuru happens to be a very fragile person, with phobias, fears and a great predisposition to telling countless lies to her companions and dormmates. Although she has no ill reasons to behave that way, Mitsuru does not feel like sharing that burden she always carried with anyone else and thus, avoids to tell everyone about the truth, just like the incident of the lab of the Group that did cause the Dark Hour to exist in the first place. This side of her personality, that unfortunately gets the best of her almost until the very end, also makes the girl also unable to ask for anyone’s help, in a direct way. It often results in pretty uncomfortable situations and the inevitable awkwardness of finally having to tell the truth, or speak of her own feelings - something she doesn’t like doing, at all. She’s not perfect at all.
2) Being educated to a certain etiquette, Mitsuru is shown as a lady-like beauty, with interest in reading, logic-based activities, having tea while reading a book and fleuret competitions. It all has to do with her upbringing that, although strictly sheltered and protective during the first years - given she had to succeed her father one day as CEO of the corporation, through marriage - educated her to delicate and elegant manners since forever. She is never vulgar and has a particular soft spot for refined food and sweets. Despite this, however, Mitsuru has always shown another, wilder side of her personality, especially when it came to education: from climbing up trees and escaping the cares of maids when being just a little child, to desiring to avoid rules, arranged marriage and judgment of old men deciding of her life and body by running away on her motorcycle, somewhere far where to just be herself. Or also enjoying junk food and breaking some rules, from time to time.
3) Although not having had the chance to grow up together with her mother, because of the woman’s degenerative and odd illness that forced her outside of the house and Mitsuru’s life, the girl is extremely caring towards youngsters and people in need. She’s extremely motherly and protective towards them, showing a delicacy and gentleness that collide so much with everyone’s ideas of the icy queen of execution reputation she might have. If she punishes, she does that to make one’s think and realize their mistakes - she’s not evil and will always want the best for her friends and youngest people. It also piles up the fact she’s extremely naive too; she won’t recognize bad people until they betray her trust. Only then, she’d have no mercy of them.
What they’ve been up to recently:
Mitsuru has been elected president of the student council of the private school of Gekkoukan. Valedictorian and brilliant in the role of captain of the fencing club, she is the daughter, only heiress, of the group actually founding the school - from elementary classes to the last ones of a teenager’s academic career. She is also founder of the secret SEES, a club disguised as a mere afterschool students organization that, in reality, is linked to the supernatural; for Mitsuru, and all the other younger members of this Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, there’s a mission to be finally resolved: the elimination of the Dark hour, the hidden hour that after midnight, every day, turns normal people into coffins and lets Shadows loose - creatures capable of attacking people, causing even Apathy syndrome to spread around. Given the role to Arisato, the transfer student with the Power of the Wild Card, she takes the job of a secondary member - together with her Persona; first Penthesilea, then Artemisia. She acts as a sort of mother, inside of the dorm; caring but firm, Mitsuru
In her successive timeline, that takes place a couple of years after Graduation Day, Mitsuru is now attending college - an economy course to be exact for, one day, be finally a rightful and just head of the family corporation - the one famous worldwide and specialized in both electronics and the everyday life her father’s legacy -- Kirijo Group. Hidden under the latter’s influence and name, Mitsuru founded another group of young Persona Users: Shadows Operatives, whose task is to help people dealing with supernatural disasters associated with Shadows activities.
Where to find them:
- Gekkoukan High School, hallway in front of faculty office
- Library of Gekkoukan
- Student council classroom
- Iwatodai Dormitory, lounge or command room
- Tower of Tartarus
- Kirijo mansion and Shadow Operatives HQ
- Yakushima family estate and beach
Current plans:
ATONEMENT. To pay for the sins of her family, of her grandfather in particular who had, with the price of his own life, tried to remake the world with the help of an evoked Nyx, her Harbinger and Plumes of Dusk he studied. Those researches, with its scientists and experiments, cause the Port Island incident of 1999 that killed numerous people and did bring forth the Dark hour.
ELIMINATION OF THE CURSE OF THE DARK HOUR. Mitsuru’s true objective, that she believe will bring peace to her own family and a smile to reappear on her father’s place. Although selfish, in a sense, it’s the will that keeps her fighting, in the first line too.
ACADEMIC CAREER. Mitsuru aspires and points to the utter best when it comes to education. And she wants her teammates to be clever just the same, prepared and able to manage a healthy and successful school life and battles at night. Even during college, she will not stop encouraging her ex-teammates to study, if they do think of continuing being a, maybe, University student.
TO FIGHT FOR A MORE PEACEFUL REALITY. After the demise of her father, she begins seeing the world and people under a less selfish light; to not just hope for a better present with the intention of a single man’s well-being, but for a greater deal, many more people and right ideals.
TO LEAD A WAY NORMAL LIFE AND KNOW MORE ABOUT THE WORLD. Child-like curiosity is often at fault when dealing with Mitsuru on relaxing occasions; being raised in a sheltered environment, she truly desires to finally and fully experience the “real world” as much as she can - one way or another. From its people to the food she never had tasted yet, to love matters and even the most useless and insignificant experiences like a simple stroll can be -- she just wants to know more about the outside world and to be, maybe, part of it too, once put etiquette aside first.
Desired interactions:
GETTING TO KNOW BETTER OTHER YOUNGER USERS. Mitsuru is caring and motherly at heart and has a good time dealing with younger Users she can instruct; it’s part of her character to go towards others that way, listen to them too, and she often thinks they must be defended, shielded by the difficulties and hardships that fighting Shadows would cast upon them; might be because of her own pride or just trying to protect latest generations from the risks, but a confront about the matter, when facing the issues with Mitsuru is often needed.
LIGHTHEARTED TIME WITH SEES. Under the icy façade of the imperious and firm cold girl she exhibits when surrounded by people who do not know her well enough, there lies a rather naive and curious girl - not that different from others of the same age, except for heritage. One thing she tries to not get too fixated about, not with her oldest friends - for she too wants to live like a normal girl and have fun like the others do. And so, she takes the risks and proposes activities, free afternoon outdoors... whatever that’d keep her relaxed and at ease with her dormmates.
LOVE ISSUES. Certainly less angsty than a certain marriage one, but I’ve always desired for girls talks threads - that did rarely came at all here. It’s a shame, for I love the idea of Mitsuru at least partaking in them, not necessarily being the subject to discuss; she smells affection, you can not fool her... she will know and she’ll surely desire to hear more about it. What would be cute as well, though, is to maybe see tables turn and her being the one interrogated - that’d be quite a sight.
Childhood or pre-2007 timelines are always welcome too, in fact - I adore sassier smol muse.
Offered interactions:
EMPRESS ARCANA TO ITS FINEST. Mother, older sister, tutor and supporting figure for your problems. She’s your girl. Caring and nurturing are the main aspects of her Arcana and Mitsuru is a clear example of all that; she will lend people a hand, offer advice and make anyone treating you bad/bullying you/etc experience utter hell and make them regret it all. Sweet with those who deserve it, firm when necessary - she won’t see the bad in your muse until openly revealed. Let her sign you and your friends up for summer courses or clubs at school even if you don’t need it because she’s worried, and she cares. It’s her character and it’s extremely endearing in my opinion, especially since most of the people here consider her just the cold ice queen of executions?? No. She’s much more. She merely doesn’t demonstrate to be as such all the time. All is gained, when deserved - even her most sincere and sweetest side.
THE ISSUE OF HER MARRIAGE. This is angst. We all know of the girl’s past arranged marriage, the one that makes all her reasons to fight and care for herself and her friends almost crumble. It is an inevitable part of her character and story that I, as a mun, can not ignorance if I truly desire to write and be satisfied with my own take on Mitsuru. No matter how much I do, to be honest, hate it -- but at the same time find extremely interesting to explore. Arranged business marriages are not that rare in Japan and Mitsuru is, from the longest time, victim - for a greater good, of course, of all that mess too. She hates the man for how he treats her but, for the Group’s sake, decides to engage in dates, accompany him and promise to one day marry the rich heir. Discussing, talking about this matter is, from what I’ve seen so far, really interesting, it offers development between our muses and always leads to a bit of angst which is always welcome.
ANGST. Can’t spell Mitsuru without angst... right? Ahah, she’s complicated, fragile and a good liar. Stubborn too, at times - no matter what she does preach often around the dorm, and she had no intention of letting other even help her carrying or sharing the self-inflicted burden and family sins she made hers since mere childhood. This results in fights - just like with Yukari in-game, and generally to see Mitsuru as a sort of superior human being, with no time to dedicate to others or even herself at some point, too busy fighting her own personal war. That’s sad, and what makes it worse is that she often does not realize it - thus leading to incomprehension. Always interesting to explore.
Current open post/s:
None at the moment but if you have any ideas for plot, just write me a starter, or hit me up ( if tumbl r permits me to see dms, i cry )
Anything else?:
Because of university keeping me busy most of the year with all its exams, I might be a bit slow with replies; I’d hardly be completely inactive but, yes, that is the only problem about me and writing. Overall, I’m quite timid at first - so it gets me a lot to be all open, fine and dandy with you - just don’t read all of that as me being proud, bitter or whatever, I don’t think I am. Plus I’m always open to plot and discuss thread, I’m always honored as much as there is respect and patience!

I mentioned the involvement of some of the p3 and p4 cast in some of my previous P5 Hogwarts AU posts (Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 plus Kazusakai’s fic are linked), But in this post, we delve deeper into how they tie into Akira’s story.
Special thaks to @delphine-le-dauphin for helping me sort them and assign post-Hogwarts jobs for everyone.
Spoilers for P5, P3, and P4!
Background: After Goro’s betrayal and Yaldabaoth’s takeover of the Ministry of Magic (in which the purebloods in the ministry appointed Shido as Minister), Akira and the others start to look for ways to take down a dark wizard like Yaldabaoth and their quest leads them towards looking the defeats of Adachi and Nyx that happened many years prior to their. They then track down the P3 and P4 casts, who had all, by the time Akira was in his 6th year, graduated from Hogwarts and working, save for Nanako.
Although the quest and search for information and answers was way less straightforward and organized and would have them meeting and talking to a lot of the P5 co-ops as well, listed below are the roles of the P4 and P3 party members (as well as tidbits about their time in Hogwarts).
P4’s investigation team
- Yu Narukami: (formerly Gryffindor), The leader of the group and quite popular among the student body during his time at Hogwarts, he later became an auror after graduation.
- Yosuke Hanamura: (Formerly Gryffindor), Yu’s best friend (also rumored to later be his boyfriend, although he neither confirmed nor denied it due to being very private about his relationships especially to strangers). After graduation, he later would move in with Yu and become a business manager of Zonko’s.
- Chie Satonaka: (Formerly Gryffindor), her work on investigating the Hogwarts Murders would lead her to want to become an Auror like Naoto and Yu. She finds Akira & Co’s determination quite admirable and she eagerly provides information when needed. On a side note, a LOT of people notice that she will go to Yukiko’s inn QUITE OFTEN, enough to the point where she’ll sometimes even make excuses to go.
- Yukiko Amagi: (Formerly a Hufflepuff) After graduation, she followed in her mother’s footsteps and became an innkeeper in Hogsmeade. She was one of the first people that Akira and the others talked to about the murders as she was a very prominent kidnapping victim
- Kanji Tatsumi: (Formerly Hufflepuff) After graduation, he became a robes tailor and set up shops in both Diagon Alley and a smaller one in Hogsmeade (robes tailores by him became quite a popular choice among many wizards and witches once Naoto began frequenting his shops). During his Hogwarts days, he was known to seem quite scary especially to his other fellow Hufflepuffs, and he reacted in quite a bit of an offended knee-jerk reaction when Akira and the others asked him about his involvement with the case. (“The hell do you mean ‘my involvement with the murders?!?!’ I Didn’t do ‘em!” “We didn’t say you did Mr. Tatsumi, we know you were a part of the investigation team and we need your help.”)
- Rise Kujikawa: (Formerly Hufflepuff) She was a teen pop idol sensation among the wizarding world when she was still a student at Hogwarts but post-graduation, she continued on her career as a singer. The Hogwarts Murder Case got worldwide attention when she was kidnapped and later found by the Investigation Team trapped in the Forbidden Forest. Her newspaper interviews about her involvements in the exposure and capture of Adachi Tohru would provide many leads for Akira and the others to follow.
- Naoto Shirogane: (Formerly a Ravenclaw), the most well-known Auror of the bunch, she was known widely as the “Youngest Auror in History” when she was appointed an Auror position at age 17 (a title that would later be usurped by Goro years later when he got appointed as an Auror at age 16 despite still being a Hogwarts student due to “Special Circumstances”). She has worked with Goro on some cases before, and thus provides a wealth of knowledge for the P5 party as to where to find him as well as any information about past cases like the Hogwarts Murders, although she is QUITE HESITANT to do so at first as they are all just kids and this is dangerous business until she reconciles with herself and reasons that she was doing the same thing at their age and she wants to see Yaldabaoth stopped. She also is one of the first people who provides the P5 party with some actual helpful leads about the Nyx Catastrophe.
- Teddie Hanamura: (Formerly a Hufflepuff) An easygoing Metamorphagus (and a Bear animagus) he’s not ACTUALLY Yosuke’s younger brother, but he was adopted into the family at a young age after he was found lost without any memories whatsoever. The rest of the IT would note that his animagus capabilities proved to be of much help whenever they navigated the Forbidden Forest.
- Nanako Dojima: a 2nd year Hufflepuff at Hogwarts when Akira is in his 6th year, Akira tries to ask her if she knew anything about the work her father did on the Hogwarts Murder case. She doesn’t know much as she was quite young when it happens, but she does unknowingly hint that her big brother seemed to know quite a bit about it despite him (to the best of her knowledge) not having any involvement with the case.
SEES:
The quest for answers about Adachi leads to more questions about a previous Dark Lord named Nyx who had just two years prior to the Hogwarts Murders attempted a takeover of Hogwarts and the Wizarding World to try and destroy it, at least until the P3 cast stopped Him. The battle and events leading up to the battle (and even some events that had happened ten years prior) left many dead or permanently injured as well as left an enormous amount of trauma to themselves, their friends, and their families, which meant getting information from many of the cast members would be proven to be quite difficult as it would bring up painful memories for a lot of the SEES members (some of whom would react with quite a bit of hostility to Akira & Co.’s inquiries before finally acquiescing and helping them provide answers).
- Minato and Minako Arisato: (Hufflepuffs), Although long dead by the time Akira and the others hear about them, the Arisato twins were all spoken of fondly by their friends when they recall their memories with them. They will also recall sadly the sacrifice they both made with their lives in order to stop Nyx during the final battle.
- Junpei Iori: (Formerly a Gryffindor), Minato’s best friend, He would later become a professional Quidditch player.
- Yukari Takeba: (Formerly a Gryffindor), She was very close with Minako, she also, like Junpei, become a famous professional Quidditch player, and the two still make (humorous) jabs at each other whenever they’re at a press conference together despite Yukari serving in the Women’s League and Junpei in the Men’s League
- Mitsuru Kirijo: (Formerly a Ravenclaw), Hailing from a VERY PROMINENT wizarding family, she was The Minister of Magic until the takeover of Yaldabaoth and Shido’s forceful appointment, she was later put under house arrest by Yaldabaoth’s supporters. Akira and the others would later free her and before she goes into hiding, she offers them valuable information about the battle with Nyx and the efforts SEES made to take down their organization
- Akihiko Sanada: (Formerly a Gryffindor), Although he was quite popular with the ladies in the student body and the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team during his time at Hogwarts, after an incident involving Shinji (see below) caused him to start to withdraw from grief after graduation. He would end up spending a lot of time traveling the world in solitude and challenging wizards and witches alike in duels to keep his magic sharp until he would later become an Auror. When Akira and the others ask him about his involvement with the Nyx Catastrophe, he at first reacted in a VERY STRONG and VERY NEGATIVE way because it brought up extremely painful memories.
- Shijiro Aragaki: (Formerly a Hufflepuff), Akihiko’s friend from Childhood, his gruff demeanor was often seen as scary to his fellow Hufflepuffs (much like Kanji), but in his seventh year, a skirmish with a group of magical assassins known as Strega (Jin and Takaya, but at this point, Chidori was no longer part of the group) ended with him protecting Ken by blocking a killing curse with a mirror that Minako had gifted him, but the force of the spell would cause the mirror to shatter and cause a shard to pierce into his skull and into a crucial part of his brain, causing him to enter a comatose state, which, despite any number of Muggle and Magical treatments, would not reverse, and he has been kept in a ward in St. Mungo’s Hospital ever since.
- Fuuka Yamagishi: (Formerly a Hufflepuff), Shy and bookish, Fuuka became an office worker in the Ministry of Magic, carrying out bureaucratic file-sorting duties that were quite her speed. She also tinkers with and makes clocks on the side, which although rare, do fetch good prices. She provides information to the P5 party about the stat weaknesses and analyses of the different magical entities that her and the rest of SEES ran into and fought as she thinks it might help the P5 party know what they could possibly be up against
- Ken Amada: (formerly a Gryffindor), the youngest of the team, he was a student at Hogwarts who was two grades higher than Akira’s year and graduated a year ago.
- Aigis: Unlike the others, Aigis is a Veela and she acts as a groundskeeper of the school as well as the Care of Magical Creatures professor as she is quite good with animals. Her magical abilities would prove to be of much help to SEES in order to take down Nyx, and she was said to have shared a close relationship with the Arisato twins (Some would even say that she had a very intimate bond with Minako).
- Ryoji Mochizuki: (Slytherin), Ryoji shared a very close relationship with the Arisato twins during his time at Hogwarts (some would even say his relationship with Minato was quite intimate). However He’d later reveal to the P3 cast that he was serving as a Vessel for Nyx (similar to what Professor Quirrell did in “Philosopher’s Stone.”). As he served as a vessel for the Dark Lord, he ended up dying when the P3 Party defeated Nyx in the final battle.
- Koromaru: Ken’s pet dog, he grew to be too big to keep in the Gryffindor dorm so he was moved to the groundskeeper’s house and put in the care of Aigis, but Ken visited him daily when he went to Hogwarts and after he graduated, he and Koromaru were proven INSEPARABLE.

Persona 5 Verses
Unspecified P5 Verses: tagged as#{P5V}
P5- not a Phantom Thief- #{part of the Phandom}
After quite a bit of trouble, Jessica has finally managed to complete her move to Shibuya. With the help of her late father’s associate, Kaito Tanaka, she has found a small apartment in Japan and is going to be finishing High School at Shujin Academy. While she does speak Japanese rather well, aside from a few words that trip her up, she clearly does seem to stand out in the crowd. Be it her white hair or simply ‘American’ appearance, she doesn’t seem to blend in by anyones’ standards.
Upon arriving at school the first day, it is obvious that word has already spread. It seems that a good portion of the school, faculty included, are aware of the accusations that had been made against her. Even with not being found guilty of causing the fire, people seem to look at her with a mix of disgust and fear. As if fitting in at a school in another country wasn’t difficult enough, the rumors make it almost impossible. Fortunately, she already has a strategy in play…speaking to no one.
The girl keeps quiet, putting up walls to try and ignore the rumors running rampant and the glares that seem to plague her just as much. Being reserved will only get her so far though, as there are at least a few students who understand how she feels…
(This verse can be used for anyone who doesn’t want to do a RP with a non-canon Phantom Thief, so I consider this canon or “canon-ish”.)
P5- Change my muse’s heart/Visit her palace- #{let us break free from your prison}
Upon arriving to Japan and starting her high school days at Shujin Academy, she realizes that all of her peers’ conversations have been monopolized on two major topics: her past and the Phantom Thieves. She hadn’t heard about the Phantom Thieves before, as it was still fairly early in their debut, so the topic was actually a bit of a nice chance. That is, until the two topics collided.
Her name…was mentioned?
A quick search on her phone was enough to bring her to the infamous Phan-Site, where she saw it. That was her name…
Her initial reaction was…who? And why?
But then again, perhaps the real question was…who wouldn’t have?
The incident had been the talk of the school since her first day in Japan…as well as the accusations against her that had somehow made their way around the school. To most everyone at Shujin, she was seen as a monster.
So why wouldn’t they add her to a list full of criminals…
Regardless of the reason, it was sure to get plenty of attention…even from the Phantom Thieves themselves.
(This tag/verse will be used for any RP that involves changing my muses heart or visiting her palace. This is considered non-canon.)
P5- Phantom Thief- #{show them all a true criminal!}
A month or so after Jessica moved to Shibuya, she was woken up by a notification on her phone. The weird app kept popping up, no matter how many times she deleted it. Brushing it off as some sort of intricate virus, she decided to start saving up for a new phone and went on with her life as normal. Or…as normal as she had been anyways.
While walking through the courtyard, she overheard a rather loud conversation from a group of her peers. She had been seeing the group around a lot lately, and something about them just looked…odd. They didn’t look like they belonged together, as they all seemed to have outrageously different personalities from what she could tell. After a moment of listening, she sighed at the realization that they were talking about the Phantom Thieves. It seemed to be the topic of choice by everyone, since they had ‘stolen the heart’ of famous artist Madarame. Surely they were just another group of fans, which wouldn’t be so odd. It wasn’t like they were alone after all.
Just as she was about to ignore it, she overheard a loud blonde mention an app. A quick glance at her phone made her curious, but she never imagined what she would find after that…
(This verse is for adding my muse to the Phantom Thieves, so it is also non-canon.)
P5- Muse is 18/Non-High School Based Verse- #{steal back your future}{18+}
After being forced to finish high school in the US due to legalities, Jessica finally moved to Shibuya 2 years after the incident that took the lives of her family. While she may be a legal adult now, being newly 18 at the time of the move, the time alone with her thoughts hasn’t helped her to heal her. If anything, it has only made her resent herself and the world more. Jessica starts out working at the flower shop full time, still finding some joy in being surrounded by the flowers. She is living alone, spending most of her free time finding ways to avoid having any free time. After becoming tired of the fruit tea at the diner, she decides to go to a cafe she had been hearing about called LeBlanc. It is there that she meets Sojiro and eventually the Phantom Thieves, though she may not realize it yet.
(This verse is for any RP where my muse is 18. Examples would be for a college AU or just any AU where an adult muse would be appropriate, such as for romance purposes.)
Persona 3 Verses
Unspecified P3 Verse: tagged as#{P3V}
P3- without a Persona- #{no one can escape time}
After the loss of her family and the destruction of her reputation, Jessica made the choice to finally return to the place she had loved as a child…Japan. It was a bit sudden, but thanks to her late father’s friendship with Mitsuru’s family she was able to find a cheap, small apartment in Iwatodai and successfully get into Gekkoukan High School. She would be starting a little later than the first week back at school, but she hoped that it wouldn’t draw too much attention to her. She was just trying to live a quiet life and get through high school completely problem-free.
She realized on her first day of school that she wasn’t the only new student, but the more shocking realization was that this place seemed a bit…off. There were quite a few people at the train stations that just…didn’t seem well. Everyone seemed to be talking about Apathy Syndrome that was going around, which she could only assume was the cause of such strange symptoms. Despite everyone discussing it almost constantly, no one seemed to have any answers to why or how it was happening. Was it a disease? Was it contagious? It seemed like no one knew.
Well, almost no one…
(This verse is for a P3 RP that doesn’t involve my muse having a Persona/using an evoker/etc. I consider this one the most canon or “canon-ish”.)
P3- NOT part of SEES, but IS awake during the Dark Hour- #{you can’t plug your ears and cover your eyes}
Not long after moving to Iwatodai, Jessica experienced a true living nightmare. What was supposed to be a peaceful transition ended up being quite terrifying, as she quickly realized that something wasn’t quite right about her new home. Staying up late due to the jet lag, she goes out for a walk late at night only to be caught out in the Dark Hour. Alone in the dark and surrounded by coffins, she is confused and afraid. While she doesn’t have a persona herself, she has somehow found herself avoiding being in a coffin of her own. One would think at first that this was a good thing, however a wrong turn would prove rather differently.
Her walk turned into a job, which then turned into a full sprint. She was desperately running from the thing that had attacked her, leaving a rather painful scratch on her right arm. Having no idea what had just attacked her, where she was, or how to get home, she finds herself leaning up against a wall. Her lungs are burning and, despite having not had much sleep in the last few days, she felt abnormally exhausted. Not only that, but the fact that her arm is bleeding doesn’t help the situation any. Not sure of how she is going to make it home, she hopes that the thing that was chasing her has at least lost her trail…
Fortunately for her, it seems that someone else will find her first.
(This verse is for P3 RP where Jessica doesn’t actively use a Persona, but still has some connection to Tartarus/the Dark Hour. It could be as simple as she isn’t physically strong enough to fight or there could be a more elaborate plot that we can discuss in plotting!)
P3- with Persona- #{fight against the darkness}
When she had requested assistance in moving out of the US, she hadn’t expected her company’s new CEO to get in contact with the Kirijo Corporation in Japan. She had only met the Kirijo family once and, having been rather young at the time, she honestly wouldn’t have expected anyone to remember her. However, it seemed that she had stood out to one person she had crossed paths with during her brief stay in Japan… Shuji Ikutsuki. He had taken a particular interest in her, seeing some ‘potential’ that no one else in her family seemed to see or appreciate. Admittedly Ikutsuki felt a bit sorry for the girl, so hearing that Jessica was in need of assistance was the perfect opportunity to see just how much potential she had.
While sitting on the train towards Iwatodai, she practiced what she would say when she arrived at the dorm. It was going to be a strange time of day for her to get in, as her dorm-mates would probably just be getting out of school when the train arrived at the station, but just in case anyone was there she felt she should be ready to at least try and be social… She was scheduled to start at Gekkoukan High School the next day and even though she had tried to insist that she could find other housing, the director had insisted she stay in this specific dorm. While it seemed rather odd, she had this strange desire to trust him… Perhaps it was because he was the only person who had ever seen any good in her.
Little did she know the real reason why Ikutsuki had brought her there…
(This verse is for P3 RP where my muse moves into the dorm and joins SEES, hence having a Persona and all of that fun stuff. This is considered non-canon.)
P3- Muse is 18/Non-High School Based Verse- #{painfully burning one’s life away}{18+}
After finishing high school in the US, Jessica decides that it is time for a change. No longer having any stake in her family’s company, she moved to Iwatodai about 2 years after losing her family. She had heard that the area had been improving since she had last visited as a child, and decided that it would be a good place to make a fresh start since she was now officially 18 and considered an adult. Unfortunately for her, the area had some issues she hadn’t been aware of…such as the Apathy Syndrome. At first it was just a rumor, but when she started seeing people with the Syndrome littering the streets it became something she was interested in. It is while looking into the incidents that she happens upon SEES and learns the unsettling truth of the incidents. Once she learns the truth, she decides that she will do anything she can to help the group.
Non-Persona Verses
Generic Verse (can be either under or over 18, just specify when we start the RP if you want me to use my muse as an adult)- #{default}
All she had wanted was to be liked… To be accepted… She never asked to be the daughter of a company owner. She never asked for any of this to happen. But it had…and still was…
They were all gone. Her parents, her sister, her home…everything she had ever known was gone. She was completely alone, but perhaps that was for the best. This was her fault after all. She was a bad daughter. It wasn’t like her parents had kept that a secret from her. Nothing she had ever done was right. She hadn’t even been born properly, as her hair was naturally a ghostly white that her mother resented. It was odd. Freakish. Unfit for any daughter of hers.
She spent months alone, hiding from any memories of her life. Her parents, her sister, everything. She left school, left the country in a desperate attempt to escape the endless pit of pain and misery that seemed to consume her every living moment. She didn’t really expect anything to change for her, even as she stepped foot into her new apartment. As she started her first day at a new school and began her part-time job. So then why had meeting someone here made her feel so…so different?
Yusuke’s Verses
