Crowley CAN See Stars Still

Okay. So I have seen the theory that The Almighty took away Crowley’s ability to see the stars and nebulas he created by giving him snake eyes. As an owner of a snake, I can help you understand a bit better!

Crowley has bad vision during the day most likely. However, snakes are extremely sensitive to UV light. Explains Crowley’s sunglasses! His eyes could very easily get damaged and his vision would be even WORSE. (one of the many reasons why he only takes them off indoors)

Don’t Panic. HE STILL WOULD SEE THE STARS. At night? That’s a WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. Snakes actually see very well at night because of being able to see infrared light. Also, they are able to differentiate heat. So, Crowley, if he does possess dichromatic vision or not, would be able to see his creations.

Infrared can pass through dense regions of gas and dust in space with less scattering and absorption. So, infrared can also reveal objects in the universe that cannot be seen in visible light. So he’d be able to see this:

there's no way quidditch is actually fun imo. like i know the seeker thing and how illogical it is has been talked to death but the whole overall concept is so stupid. imagine you're a world class chaser and you're amazing and everything you do is invalidated (or validated) by the performance of one specific player who has nothing else to do with the rest of the players. you have good stats but your win record means absolutely nothing.

there's little strategy; a good defense depends entirely the keeper, which is another way all the positions are just completely disconnected from each other. they could all be playing different sports and nothing would make a difference. beaters are there for Violence ("ethically mean-spirited"). god there are so many bludger moments in fic (and in the books too tbh) that are so dramatic and injurious and it's literally just the beaters playing their stupid position the way they're meant to lol.

i know the reasonings behind this are like: jkr fundamentally doesn't understand sports in even basic ways; the seeker position has to be for The Most Special Guy and that has to be harry always because he wouldn't be Special Enough if the entire game didn't ride on his shoulders; jkr is a bad writer. very annoying that this huge insidious piece of worldbuilding is so bad!!!

HMMMM it was probably a purely narrative choice at first and we will lkely never get a proper flashback of the event.... Still I wonder if Arthur getting the rest of his body back during ep1 but not the eyes ties with how he loses control of his left hand and toes later on.

Could it have gone like this? He opens the book, our favourite Malevolent Entity takes control and Arthur is only left with hearing(based on how it's shared at all times after). Arthur hears Parker gets choked to death and probably after getting slapped with the memory of Faroe starts fighting back. It works but the first thing he sees is his partner's corpse. His brain going through trauma both new and old nopes out refusing to perceive with the situation both physically, his eyes, and mentally, shoving the memory in the closet.

Also questionning again if Kayne was lying about being the reason Arthur had control again of said apendages when Yellow was there. It could be a methaphor for Arthur making a huge choice without patreon input. The confirmation that John has the hand and toes back only comes after Arthur had confirmation it was John and not Yellow in his head during episode 24.

am i gonna make up a whole devil fruit that makes absolutely no sense just to have sanuso in an extremely specific scenario from The S-Classes that I Raised ? Sources say yes

enter, the sense-sense fruit -> it can do all sorts of stuff, including dulling senses (ex. touch, so that allies feel less pain in battle), but the thing that matters is that the current user can also connect people's senses together and she does that to Sanji and Usopp

the usual response is "what- what the FUCK this is SO GODDAMN WEIRD" & panic that makes her victims easier to fight and win against for her and her crew

that still sorta happens, but since Sanji's useless against women anyway, he an Usopp manage to figure that if one of them doesn't do anything (closed eyes, staying completely still, just focused on breathing, etc.) then the other can fight just fine

of particular note, no matter what Sanji hears and no matter how tempted he is to peek, he is absolutely certain Usopp will handle it and that he won't let Sanji get hurt

there is definitely a close call or two where an axe flies just past/over Sanji's head or something, but Usopp handles it and Sanji doesn't even flinch

eventually the woman runs away & they deal with the sense sharing for the next few days until it wears off and they never deal with it again

here's where the big OR comes in

instead of never dealing with it again, they could end up doing something sorta similar to The S-Classes that I Raised and there is a lingering effect on the sense-sense power

where, if Usopp or Sanji focus with their Observation Haki, they can share their senses with each other briefly (able to do this because the sense-sense fruit gave them the experience to understand what that felt like, so they experiment until they can recreate it for uh,, reasons i haven't figured out yet)

it can cause a toll on their bodies if they do it for too long, especially for Usopp because his body isn't as sturdy as Sanji's (oh fuck, if he uses sense-sharing while Sanji's in "indestructible mode" that would very much fuck up Usopp)

essentially, using it too much could lead to them passing out from exhaustion. pushing through it could put dangerous pressure on their brains & lead to nosebleeds. yes this is p much magical exhaustion whump bc i love that shit

can't really think of reasons why they'd want to share senses- maybe it's just a curiousity thing for them. and also maybe Robin asking if Usopp can learn Sanji's Sky Walk just by sharing senses? hmm

maybe there are times that Sanji needs eyesight as good as Usopp's to see something far off. maybe Usopp needs more discreet ways of alerting Sanji to danger to himself. so, primarily a form of communication

overall though, i'm just a sucker for all those scenes where the MC passes out from overusing his sense-sharing powers in The S-Classes that I Raised and want to put Usopp in those situations <3
