I love how Howe is like. Just some guy who works for Loghain if you play most routes.

Like if you're a Cousland, absolutely fuck that guy he killed your family, etc etc. But if you're an Amell or a Surana in particular (who are more isolated from regular Fereldan politics in my brain, but I suppose that depends on how you imagine the Circle and how interested in politics your character is) you might have zero idea about who this tool is other than "he's the acting arl of Denerim and he works for the dude who's tried to kill us a few times". Which admittedly is a perfectly valid reason to dislike him, and that is added to once you see the torture stuff while rescuing Anora, but like. At this point you've fought so many people and dealt with so many nobles and you've got the landsmeet looming over your head quite imminently, not to mention the Archdemon. So it's very plausible that your non-Cousland Warden can just kinda forget about him in all but the vaguest sense.

And then Nathaniel breaks into your new castle (his old castle so it stings more for him) to kill you but you barely remember killing his dad in the first place so you're just like oh. Sorry bout that. Wanna join my blood club?

I don't think there's anyone that he would take advice from without really thinking about said advice. He's a very logical person and he doesn't mind hearing advice and he will take it if it is good advice, but if the advice is shit, he isn't going to follow it if he knows that. Even people whose opinions he trusts on certain things don't get their advice followed blindly on everything. He generally trusts Wynne's opinions on spellcasting, but he doesn't care to hear her thoughts on his love life. He's more likely to trust Leliana or Zevran on matters of the heart but there are pieces of advice he's sure they'd both lend him on other subjects that he wouldn't agree with. He thinks Sten's point of view is fascinating and very logical sometimes but he definitely is not sold on a lot of the Qun stuff.

The reverse isn't actually true though lol because he can hold a grudge like Crazy. He has a List of people whose opinions he will almost always throw into the trash pile immediately without even mulling them over. Irving is definitely in this category, he's got a semi-irrational hatred for him. Gideon's parents and also Hector. His own father (another semi-irrational one.) Oghren. Cullen. There are probably more but those are who come to mind

So like, thinking about it for a bit I'd probably go with shape-shifting tbh, ability to be stronger, smaller, taller,, to be beautiful or blend in and disappear, whatever the need is. Especially since I've always loved the idea of characters who can take animal forms so there's that lol opens up a lot of other options too w wings and aquatic animals.

Like ajdkfl other two thoughts are being able to talk to animals cause love those little guys or just ability to straight up disappear cause,,, yeah,, social anxiety is sm fun/s

But tbh think both of those are covered well enough for my liking w the first one lol
