Maybe it was the reverse psychology playing its trick, but you couldn’t deny it was working. After all, who would ever love you like Jaemin? Would anyone ever be obsessed to the point they’d hate seeing you with others? To the point they’d want to be involved in every single aspect of your life?

You didn’t have any answer for that, rather, you only knew that Jaemin would do it for you, he always had been doing so, which would be the initial reason for the breakup, and now—the reason why you wanted to get back to him.

Which brings you to his place. He let you inside gently, as if he wasn’t surprised to see you. His calm demeanour had your mind turning into a fiasco.

“Do you not care about me anymore?” You asked, voice breaking pathetically as you held back a sob.

He looked at you normally, “you’re the one who wanted to break up,” he shrugged.

And it hurt. It hurt to see him being so unbothered about the situation. The fault was yours, you’d agree but it would have been better had he been mad at you instead.

You felt tears pricking your eyes, bottom lip trembling as you took a step towards him, “do you really not want me anymore?” You asked, embarrassed for being a hypocrite.

“You left me, baby,” he said, heart fluttering when you called you the term of endearment.

He had a frown on his face now.

“How would I have any say in that, hm?” He asked, stepping closer and you rushed to pull him into a hug.

“Please, take me back,” your voice came out muffled as you buried your face into his neck, completely missing the smirk which settled on his face.

This was his plan all along.

His monotonous look returned right when you leaned back, and lord he swore you looked beautiful with crystalline tear drops cascading down your cheeks.

Harry glances over to see Layla mid-yawn, and he smiles gleefully at the way her one bottom tooth shimmers from behind her lip. “All right, fine. What Mommy wants, Mommy gets.”

You smirk again at the nickname before he’s taking the small child toward her bedroom, disappearing into the darkness to tuck her into her crib.

And it's then that it hits you. This moment, this relationship. How happy you are to be in your home, with your husband, and your precious child. How a night of drunken mistakes has led you into the best chapter of your entire life.

How grateful you are to him for everything he's given you.

When Harry returns to the living room, this is how he finds you. With tears in your eyes that are mercilessly beginning to slip down your cheeks.

Instantly his expression drops, and he rushes forward, hand pressing to your jaw lovingly. “Hey, hey. What’s wrong? What happened?”

Sniffling, you press yourself into his palm. “I just…I love you. So much. And I love her. She’s so beautiful. And so are you. And I just...I feel so lucky. I'm so happy, H—”

He takes a seat beside you and quickly pulls you into his embrace, burying your face in his chest as he whispers, “I know. I know, baby. Me, too. M’so goddamn lucky to have you two in my life.”

You fist his shirt in the same way Layla does. “I love you, Har. So much.”

He presses his lips to the crown of your head. “I love you, darling. More than anything in the world.”

You smile softly, allowing your eyes to flutter shut as you indulge in his touch. And it's perfect, this moment.

“...even though you gave our daughter shit taste in music,” he adds, and you laugh as you lightly swat at him, now feeling much better.

“She has excellent taste," you argue. "She knows the difference between a good song and whatever the hell the music you listen to is.”

“Oh, is that right?”

“It is.”

“Sure, okay,” he snorts before taking a beat. “At least we know she likes Fleetwood Mac. Otherwise, that could have been a disaster.”

“Oh, we would have had to disown her.”

"Absolutely."

You both smile at the thought before he gently tilts your head back to meet your eye.

“Can I tell you a secret?” he whispers.

“Always.”

“…I’m starting to think Gimme, Gimme, Gimme is better than Dancing Queen.”

Gasping, you sit up. “Oh, yes. I knew it, I fucking knew it. See? Do you see?”

Harry laughs. "I already regret this—”

“You regret having good taste? Well, I guess that checks out.” You place yourself on his lap, knees on either side of his hips while he holds you steady. “You have made some questionable choices in your career.”

“Oh, have I?” His smile is smug as he looks up at you.

“You have. And then you met me. You’re welcome.”

He laughs, and it’s so beautifully full of life. “I guess I never thanked you properly.”

“No. No you did not.”

He leans forward, lips just barely ghosting across yours until your breath hitches. “Then by all means...allow me to fix that.”

You can’t help the excitable tremor in your chest as you kiss your husband. The love of your life and the father of your beautiful baby girl. “Yeah?”

He smirks, arm looping around your back.

“Yeah.”

Today on “I’m exhausted hearing awful takes on astarion” as a trauma survivor myself I think astarion struggles to show weakness in the sense of recovery… like now that he’s free of Cazador, he’s supposed to be strong, independent, always knowing what he’s doing and who he wants to be. And for the most part that’s true, he is all those things, but when ghosts of his past come back to haunt him he feels shame in being someone vulnerable again who needs care. He hides it and bottles it up for such a long time but…

Then Tav comes along, his partner but also cg, and when the dam finally breaks they’re right there reassuring him that he is competent and capable and independent, he’s fought for his freedom and won and no one can deny that. But sometimes he needs coddling and that’s okay, he can be both strong and in need of protecting and support, they aren’t mutually exclusive (because a lot of people treat them like they are and as a survivor myself I do value my independence and not being coddled, but put simply and people don’t think about this with Astarion I’ve noticed, sometimes you just need to crumble and need to be needy and that’s not a sign that you’re recovering wrong or relapsing or anything)

Tav assures him he can be weak and need things if that’s how he feels, that being in need once in a while doesn’t invalidate everything he went through. And maybe he needs to regress that night. And it’s gonna be ok while he does.

Tav sits down with him, assuring him he’s going to be big again soon, but for now he should relish being little and not feel ashamed at all for needing cuddles and bottles and diapers and pacis. He’s still allowed to need things even if he’s won over his abuser. And the baby bat can be happy and get lots of cuddles and treats knowing no one thinks less of him and his beloved Tav will be there for him—he’ll pay them back somehow later and find a way to support them when they need him, but for now no thoughts baby bat. Give him headpats and kisses. Wrap him up into a little baby bat burrito. Put him in comfy safe diaps and be there to change them, and put him in all kinds of pretty clothes (tbh he would look so cute in “classic” baby gear like bonnets or mittens/booties you can’t convince me otherwise)—the entire camp has a whole “spoil Astarion” day because he deserves it and shouldn’t have to always force himself to be strong.

(sorry for the ramble he is very precious and dear to me and i’ve seen so many bad takes on aspects of him that dishearten me as someone who relates to him jddhxndvnd sorrry)

Yes yes YES to this all nonny!!! You got the most galaxy mind for tiny Astarion aaaaaa this poor vampire wants to be the perfect example of a survivor who has made it through without a care past the revenge he wanted- he doesn't want to be seen as some weakling, he doesn't want to lean on others!!

But, in small steps, Astarion is able to let his walls become thinner, allowing Tav and those he trusts in when it comes to his regression aaa♡♡♡

I want to ramble so I'm gonna ramble about my characters typing quirks and then some quirk ideas I had but not really attached to any characters I plan to make. Just kind of thought of them is all and will probably never use them.

Hollies-> she replaced M's with 3+ in order to match the sign she has. Some people didn't get that at first until I explained it to them. I am told it's annoying typing quirks to deal with

Zynier-> he combines the last letter of a word with the same letter at the start of a new word. For example "standstill = stand still." It's supposed to be kind of slurred together speech as he is secretly very lazy and often eepy.

Tikvah-> she adds the prefix and suffix that are supposed to look like her sign. This is what the two look like with no words between "Ɛ>][<3". She also speaks in 'code'. This code is how middle schoolers use to type in numbers in a calculator and turn it upside down to spell boobs the number sequence being 58008. There are a little over 100 'code words' she uses. An example is "hello = Ɛ>]0.7734[<3" it's probably awful to read through but hey I thought it was neat.

Angora-> his typing quirk is where he upper case every value. To show him stressing and emphasizing vowels to show a pitch change giving him a loud and animated voice. Atleast that was my intent. An example of his quirk in use is "thE qUIck brOwn fOx JUmps Over thE lAzy dOg." He also has the most emoticons to help push the idea even more he is animated and very pressive.

Rakker-> his typing quirk makes as many letters as possible have smile-y faces. I don't really have a reason for this other than I thought it fit a clown character. Here's the example. "The qüic:k br:o)wn f:o)x jümps :o):>er the lazy :D:o)g" If you are having a hard time finding all the faces here.

Maebel-> her quirk is straight forward. She is associated heavily with death so her t's become these weird crosses to resemble cross grave markers. "✣he quick brown fox jumps over ✣he lazy dog."

Piapot-> They doesn't have any but if anyone has suggestions for basically a possum reincarnated into a troll I am happy to hear them. They are precious little non-binary trash baby.

Nvidia-> she has prefix and suffix to resemble computer code, plus whenever replaces e's with 3 hinting at her mutations. I am thinking of changing it soon to be instead three i's to replace the e.

Ex. 1 without change

"<p>th3 quick brown fox jumps ov3r th3 lazy dog:</p>"

Ex. 2 with change

" <p>thiii quick brown fox jumps oviiir thiii lazy dog:</p>"

N/a-> Troll opens up dialogue screaming and ends with screaming the resulting message looking something like this "AAA<hello friend>AAA". More a's are added or taken away depending on the importance of the message, or the intensity of the ton. Also a's with switch between upper case to lower case to help trolls figure out the tone of the message. This man is panicking outwardly 24/7.

N/a-> this one is for a specifically a highblood. Basically they assume people intelligence level and add definitions in parentheses when talking. Making it into a long winded rant suppose to be as annoying as kankri (possibly more annoying even.)

Ex.

"You do not have any significance (meaning; the quality of being worthy of attention/importance) to me. Your existence is null (having or associated with the value zero). There is a dearth (meaning; a scarcity or lack of something) any good qualities within thyself. Your personality makes me discomfit (meaning; cause to lose ones composure) because of the scarcity (meaning; very little of) good qualities(meaning; a distinctive attribute or characteristic possessed by someone or something.) you have. The only reason I have brought myself to stay was your adulation (meaning; excessive flattery or praise) towards me. The rest of your attributes( a quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something) are crude (meaning; in a natural or raw state) and decorum (meaning;behavior that is well-mannered) . I am sorry if you find this as a diatribe (meaning; abusive and bitter attack through speech or writing) towards you but it needed to be said and I need to say this to teach you a much needed and warranted lesson."

The words that he gives definitions for will vary based on who he is talking to. The lower the blood caste the lower the reading level he will assume. If he is talking to a burgundy he will straight up provide definitions for words like "big". When talking to a highblood that is still below him the reading difficulty he assume goes to a college level words. If the highblood is higher than him he is not risking making assumptions and will drop the definitions.

If I ever think of more I will reblog this, and add more. But yeah those are my dumb typing quirks I have thought of.

Clones ranked on huggability

Eight. SO HUGGABLE. Good at giving hugs AND receiving them. Soft and squishy, as he is usually wearing at least three layers of clothing. Will happily cuddle for hours. His physical age fluctuates between twelve and fourteen, but he's always heavier/sturdier than he looks; he will lean fully on you or take your weight.

Three. He might squeeze you so tight your back cracks but darn it you're getting HUGGED. If you're smaller than Three, he's gonna lift you up in the air and shake you back-and-forth or up-and-down as he hugs you. (If you're taller than him, he does this thing where he rubs his nose on you like he's trying to burrow into you. What he's actually doing is wiggling in delight.) Three is exuberant in all things but especially hugging. He's usually the person who goes for a hug in the first place (he hugs as a greeting and a celebration and a goodbye...)

Two. Very huggable. He gets puppy-dog eyes at the first hint of possible physical affection. Two hugs fiercely and solidly. Like Three, he holds tight. Unlike Three, he holds still. And he is no miser with time! Hugging him feels like he's trying to transmit all of his love into you right through his chest, or like he's melting into a big gooey puddle. Either way, be prepared to stand there for a good long time. Two hugs like he's praying. also he gets fatter than the other clones so he's physically softer

Seven. Sooo huggable. Like Eight, he's usually wearing layers and layers. Like Eight, he's sweet and small and huggable-looking (if you ignore his mouth with all the sharp teeth, which honestly isn't hard if you're used to him.) He's outside on the farm a lot, so he usually smells like the outdoors and manure, but it's pleasant enough. Seven runs cold, so it's a bit chilly to hug him at first (HIS COLD HANDS AAA), but on the other hand is anything better than feeling someone warm up under your touch? And he's very very gentle; he'll turn his face away so as not to risk grazing you with his teeth. He needs encouragement to hug more than lightly, but if it's less "hug" and more "cuddle" Seven will go completely boneless and drape himself over Three. (Because, yeah, anyone can and will hug Seven, but Seven lives with Three and they cuddle a lot. A lot.)

Nine. Okay, look. Once you get past the death threats, spiky punk aesthetic, and general aura of don't tread on me!, Nine is a very good hugger. He's a very tactile person. In fact, one of the key moments in his rehabilitation is when Two realizes that sometimes Nine often instigates fights because he wants to touch someone. Ninesey still hugs like he's fighting, swaying back and forth and hanging his weight off your neck, but somehow it becomes clear that he's playing and/or expressing his overwhelming affection through this. (also, when Nine hugs little kids—he loves little kids—he's able to match his playfulness or gentleness to their preferences with an uncanny perceptiveness.)

Six. After he stops being a supervillain, yeah, he's huggable. He's unfamiliar with physical touch of any kind, but he hugs fierce and tight and quick, as if he thinks if he doesn't let go you'll pull away. But here's the trick—if you capture him before he escapes and make it clear you want a longer hug, Six will melt. His nineteen-year-old body is lanky and his perpetually-moving pet shadows are disconcerting, but under all that he's very young and very touch-starved.

Four. Not very huggable. He gives rare, precious hugs. He will only initiate a hug once in a blue moon, and he isn't always okay with physical contact even when it's offered. Often he'll refuse; sometimes he'll slip away in the middle of a hug. He's a bit awkward with physical contact, stiff. But if he does choose to hug someone (and let's be real, this is pretty much limited to Two, Seven, and Eight), they can feel in his body how genuine he is. Every time he hugs someone, he sighs, soft and heavy, but his arms are rock-solid.

Five. Nearly un-huggable. He has such focused, dangerous, predatory energy that you'd think he'd hurt you or at the very least give you A Look if you tried to hug him, and you'd be right. Only for Two and his mother will he submit to the foreign gentleness of this thing called "affection". (but when he does, oh, he's so gentle, so very careful.)

joshua is a very... a very light person to me? it sounds weird when i put it like that but he's just kind of floaty, kind of like youth and with a spring in his step and all those bright, youthful phrases and all. he def feels very friends to lovers :(( or even lovely stranger to friends to lovers omg !! the childhood f2l is reserved in my brain for junhui haha but you are very very right that it can fit him soooo well <3
