Meet Kahhori, The Newest Super Hero In ‘What If…?’ Season 2

Marvel Studios’ animated anthology streaming series What If…? flips the script on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways and creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities. Those possibilities continue to expand in the second season, as Marvel Studios introduces new stories, and new Super Heroes, to the MCU.

What If…? asks what would happen if the Tesseract fell to Earth and landed in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America.

The Tesseract takes on a new life and a new mythology, transforming a lake into a gateway to the stars and leading Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, on a quest to discover her power.

Written by Ryan Little (What If…? ), the episode was created in close collaboration with members of the Mohawk Nation like historian Doug George and Mohawk language expert Cecelia King to ensure cultural authenticity. The episode takes place in the Mohawk language and is informed by the history of the Akwesasne region in what is now upstate New York.Doug George is excited for viewers to see the episode. “It tells a remarkable story from a Native-Mohawk perspective which is truly unique and historical, and will give the viewers a new, challenging and entertaining perspective on this land's first peoples.

 The story is dramatic, the characters fully realized, and the action sequences are breathtaking,” says George. “The episode is exceptional in another sense--it is done with the complete cooperation of the Mohawk people from dialogue to adornment.”Added Little, “I had a wonderful writing mentor who worked extensively with the Indigenous community in upstate New York, and I was excited to draw on that experience to build an entirely original corner of the MCU with storylines for new Indigenous heroes written from a place of respect for past generations and optimism for future ones. Kahhori, pronounced ‘KAH-HORTI,’ is a real, Wolf Clan name, meaning ‘she stirs the forest’ or is someone who motivates those around her. In her debut adventure, Kahhori will have to live up to her name to recruit powerful allies into the fight to save her people and change the course of history forever.”

Okay but like I am fully convinced in the bob x rooster x hangman x reader universe the house is kept extra cold so that way everybody can all cuddle and not get over heated (hangman loves cuddles the most but he won’t admit it)

Also that the bed is huge Becuase let’s face it bob, rooster and hangman are tall and big boys so when they’re all deployed reader cuddles with a full body pillow because she’s not used having this massive bed all to her self

After talking with another creator, the lovely @blackcat2907 we both agreed Jake has a southern accent, there is something that screams born in Texas about him but also we see Bob having a southern accent. Both of them hide it well but when Bob gets angry, he has the THICKEST accent and Jake is the one to calm him/translate because of how hard it can be to understand. (I only say this because after seeing both actors in cowboy hats it sparked something in me).

You KNOW those two have both put their cowboy hats on the reader 🤭 maybe Rooster too?

Also, the bed thing. So true. When they're gone there is probably two body pillows. But their favorite hoodies are on the bed too. Maybe because after being gone for a year, they came home on their anniversary and found her that way so they always made sure everything smelled like them extra so she wouldn't miss them.

And like you said, Jake is THE cuddler. He would probably convince all of them to wear shorts and tank tops because "it's hot outside, if you step out you'll sweat like that" and just lower the a.c. to have whoever he convinced to come snuggle with him. Apparently Miles Teller is 6'1 and taller than everyone but when I googled it they were all the same height (may have been updated by now) but Jake totally loves to find a way to tuck Bradley under his chin to cuddle, especially after bad days. You on the other hand? Totally see him just reaching out and dragging you over without warning.

I am SO sorry for the spam of thoughts but I needed to get it out 😂

torrhen grew up around the malicious practice of his father’s profession. in time, he learned that many things people considered to be “immoral” came second nature to him. he was raised to be the perception of his father, his heir. for years, his father pounded into his brain the importance and stress of the family business. 

house dondarrion was built on the importance of being a messenger for the realm. in his father’s eyes, torrhen was a messenger for him. he was the first born son and the heir to blackhaven. 

in his earlier adolescents, torrhen was a sweet child. however, greed and gluttony coursed through his veins when his father got ahold of him. he’d was morphed into the spitting image of her father. over years, he learn to give into the his indulgences.  

with the company of his younger brother, torrhen attended the meetings for the family businesses. yet, unlike his younger brother..torrhen had been molded — rather manipulated —by his father to fit into his role. 

by the age of ten and three, torrhen would fully accompany his father on his job as a sellsword. by the age of twenty, he was his father’s right hand man—practically looking like the spitting image of him. a lack of morals was nowhere (well some were still there, but he wouldn’t dare let a living soul, especially that of the likes of his father get wind of it) to be found. 

years after year, he’d follow into the steps of his father’s job and almost intimidating a shadow like appearance. deep deep down torrhen is aware of his line of work is sickening, but the amount of drilling his father put into his makes him forget. 

as death of the former ruling lord (his father) caught wind to his ears, torrhen was aware of the legacy that he needed to uphold for house dondarrion. however, there was rumors that torrhen was the lighting that struck his father down at the red keep, despite being on a mission on his farther’s orders. still, there is dispute on whether or not he orchestrated the death to his benefit. thus, this is where he got the name the lighting theif. 

now, torrhen’s is the newly appointed ruling lord of blackhaven. he has decided to whether or not to fufill his father’s legacy by living in his shadow or live his own life, learning to step on his own for once in his life.

What If? Scores Season 3 Renewal As Disney+ Dates Early 2023 Release For Season 2.

Bryan Andrews and AC Bradley talked about the Emmy-nominated series and showed the trailer for Season Two. The audience went wild when, at the end of the presentation, a surprise screening of one episode of the highly anticipated next season was shown, and a third season was announced.
