I was tagged by @melisusthewee to share fics I’ve been working on recently! Alas, I’ve still been struggling with burn-out, so I wanted to wait for creator reveals for the DA Poly Exchange to go live so I could include the stuff I created for that - I’m really happy with those works!

1. call me by my name (Rating: E)

The Marquis cut his way through the Horned Knight's bramble-maze to rescue his Bard. Now, he is desperate to keep him.

(Inspired by a da drunk writing circle prompt.)

* There are simply not enough fics for the Last Court. The detail I had the most fun working into this fic is the gradual shift into use of True Names, even within the Marquis’ own head.

2. Corner of the Sky (Rating: T)

The year is 9:46 Dragon. Kieran has been staying in Denerim for months, now, but he still does not feel welcome despite all of King Alistair's efforts. It has also become increasingly clear to anyone with eyes that the boy is not a simple ward: he is Alistair's son, and may well be the King's only heir. As a celebration in Redcliffe for Ferelden's heroes draws closer, the rumors only grow louder. Kieran shies away from the attention, good or ill, but...

What he truly wants may yet surprise even him.

* This is still a work in progress. I really love writing about the dynamics of Kieran’s relationships with King Alistair, the Ferelden nobility, and the city elves.

Quinn Trevelyan has been keeping a secret from those closest to him. They find out just in time to do something about it.

* I just adore Quinn. He was so fun to write, and I just HAD to do something with the idea of him lying to everyone to hide his true birthday...

4. That Which Endures (Rating: T)

They converge by chance within the Crossroads, three remnants of a bygone time. Perhaps Felassan and Tiralin can guide Abelas on this strange new path?

* I love the concept of Ancient Elves navigating the current era, and the idea of a person’s “Purpose.” (I have a feeling this fic is just the start of something new I need to explore further...)

5. When Shadows Wake (Rating: M)

A new thief in Riften hopes to shake things up and earn some coin, but shadows loom on the horizon. Assassins, bears, civil war, dragons... Eira has an ace or two up her sleeve, but is she a match for Maven Black-Briar, whose honeyed words drip with poison?

(A Thieves Guild centric story that also deals with the Dragon Crisis, the Thalmor, and Skyrim's politics.)

* I’ve been slowly working on more chapters of this story, so! Look forward to some updates soon? I still adore my Skyrim characters. This fic in particular is also my attempt to have the questlines interact more with each other and have over-arching repercussions.

Name: Kento Nanami

Name meaning: His family name, Nanami (七海) is written with “seven” (七) and “sea” (海) kanji, but it also can be read as “seven” (七 = nana) “three” (三 = mi). His given name, Kento (建人), is written with “build” (建) and “man” (人) kanji.

Alias: None, but certain people like calling him "Nanamin" which he just vibes with.

Ethnicity: Primarily Japanese but with some Danish from maternal grandfather

THREE HEADCANONS YOU’VE NEVER TOLD ANYONE: 

Nanami is an avid reader and always has been even back when he had been back at the school. Although he was willing to read anything if it interested him, his favorite genres were thrillers, high fantasy, and science fiction. Of course, he did love to read manga too, though was very particular about what he read. In the past, he often read whatever Haibara was reading, not always because he actually liked the story (some were trash in his opinion), but so Haibara had someone he could be excited to talk about it with. He was a secret fan of Naruto.

He likes Ghibli movies. Totoro is his favorite along with Nausicaä. The former because it was a childhood favorite that made him wish he could see yokai too (unfortunately he saw curses which were not cute), and the second because the story really resonated with him.

Nanami wears sock garters.

THREE THINGS YOUR CHARACTER LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME:

Read right before bed in bed.

When given the chance, really enjoys cooking.

TWO THINGS YOUR CHARACTER REGRETS:

Not being able to save Haibara. He feels as if he let his guard down when he knew he should have listened to his gut in concerns to the mission they had to do. Everything that transpired was outside of either of their control, but he still feels guilt over it all as if he should have still done something.

Not speaking to his family more. He keeps his distance for their own safety considering what he does, but there are times that he wishes he could go back home and just talk to them. Even when he had been working in an office, he hadn't really been in contact with them. It was the depression---

TWO PHOBIAS YOUR CHARACTER HAS:

He doesn't really have phobias. Nanami doesn't like closed spaces very much, but he's not phobic. He just feels a normal amount of anxiety being somewhere he cannot move very well. That's about it, though!

Honestly, though, I have a tendency to get into writing or doing other things and forget anyone talked to me sometimes either way so--- 😭

Experience in RP — I've been rping since I was a kid back in forever ago before I even really knew what rping was. It all started on a chat site and I wasn't sure what was going on but I liked it LMFAO. I think it was probably about middle school-ish time for me. 6th grade I guess??? So a while.

Best experiences — AAAAA many! I think some of my best experiences rping was when I was doing things with my friends on Twitter and Deviantart. They always inspired me to draw and we were constantly designing characters / joining art rp groups back then which helped me improve drastically. Ughugh I miss doing things like that sometimes.

Pet peeves / dealbreakers — Godmodding. The quickest way to make me drop a thread is making Ozy do something or saying he did something without consulting with me. That's a pretty big dealbreaker for me as I've been put in really uncomfortable situations as a result of people doing this. Also instantly coming at me with ship ideas is a bit of a put off if we like...have literally done one thing / I barely even know you. I had that happen day one of me making Ozy and it almost made me want to leave before I even did anything. Only time I will shake you around and be like, "yeah let's gooooo!" is if we've known one another a long time / I'm comfortable enough to do that.

Muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — That depends. I love writing things where it's deeply discussion based over beliefs, philosophies, and the like. Emotionally charged threads too since that gets my muse really going, but it doesn't need to quite be angst so IDK AAAAAA. Fluff is okay sometimes, although Ozy isn't exactly 'fluffy' most of the time and it's a 50/50 with him and his fickle moods. Smut is nice to write every now and then too because there can be a lot of characterization in intimate moments like this. I don't think I have any kind of definite preference when I think about it -rubs chin-

Plot or memes — Memes usually (or just throwing unprompted stuff in my inbox)! My attention span is absolutely terrible. I like plotting but I have a tendency to slowly lose interest if it goes on for a while as I like getting the barebones as to what we're going to do, have some discussion, then jumping straight into making a thread. Discussing things as we go along and have things already started is just more fascinating for me.

Long or short replies — I loooove long replies, but those tend to be done at a slower pace unless the muse is really gripping me by the throat. I remember the days when I wasn't working and I could get through like ten threads a day or something but thinking about that now has me like, "how did I even do this?" So a nice mixture of short and long is nice! That way I can pick and choose what I feel like replying to that day.

Best time to write — In the weeee hours of the night mainly -- and with music! ////

Are you like your muse — Not even remotely amg. Ozy's too much of everything. He's loud, he's arrogant, and his confidence levels are off the charts on a good day whereas I prefer to be left to my devices, avoiding conversation or faking it till I make it with people, and then dying when I get home because boy was that too much extroverted activity for me FKJSDFHKSDFDS
