“i know i’ve kissed you like, ten times, but just like another ten, please.” + “wait! don’t pull away... not yet.” // fred weasley x reader 

fred loves to kiss you. that’s all there is to it to that statement, really. of course, he loves everything about you, but one thing he absolutely adores doing, is kissing you. how you succumb to his touch when he cups your cheek and pulls you in closer. if you’re standing, you’d grow weak against him and it feels like he’s turning you into putty as he holds you up. if you’re sitting, even better, he gradually pulls you to shift over his lap or he lays you down.

today was somewhere along those lines when he has you all to himself in his dorm. what started with an impromptu study session, soon morphs into something else when fred starts to get distracted with the way your lips pursue in trying to properly digest what you’re reading, and writing them down as you go. however, you start to read into something else when you take a side glance to fred and he’s already staring.

when you offered to help him with his little problem, he doesn’t hesitate to say yes please and pulls you into a kiss...es. a couple of kisses too many and it’s making you dizzy and lightheaded - all in good pleasure when he hums against your lips, drawing out sweet, sweet mewls that he gladly swallows and all of a sudden it feels like you’re too far away. he shifts back in his seat, enticing you to follow his lips as he doesn’t pull away - only for a split second as he pulls you onto his lap. joining him on his seat, fred bands an arm around you, his other hand coming up to secure your face a mere inch away from his for him to keep kissing you.

there was just something right about this. his lips on yours, warmth brewing on the inside and fire trails on the outside as your fingertips grace his skin; one hand crawling up to grip him by his biceps over his white button up shirt and the other running through his fiery locks. he groans when you shift on top of him, brushing over somewhere that feels a bit to constrained for his liking but he doesn’t act upon that now.

fred loves, loves to make it worthwhile.

he huffs when you try to pull away, to get a breather and you chuckle breathlessly as he doesn’t give up, still trying to place small pecks on your lips, jaw, down to your neck over your exposed skin but ultimately comes back up for your lips. “freddie, ‘m gonna suffocate like this,” you half-whisper, half-scold him, your hand squeezing his arm and the other rests by the nape of his neck. he sighs and shakes his head at you, pulling back just enough to frown at you, “it’s not my fault you’re so kissable,” his hand on your cheek slides down so his thumb can trace over your bottom lip - red and swollen from the kissing and he gapes at it like he’s in some sort of trance, “i know i’ve kissed you like, ten times,” you’re about to retort but when he’s already leaning in, he swallows your words with his own - “but... another ten, please,” - and then with his lips.

you can’t even say no when really, as much as fred loves kissing you, you love kissing him just as much. how he grows weak when your lips touch, his smile etched to your lips that ebb away into moans as his lips part for you. his hands would want to touch you, feel you and most importantly, keep you as close to him as possible. arm’s length away would be deemed too far and if possible - like now - straddling on his lap with your thighs casing him in is where fred belongs, where you belong.

your lungs are starting to give out at the intensity he’s kissing you and you have to stop him with both hands on his shoulders, gently nudging him - “p-please, freddie, just a second,” you laugh weakly at the lack of air in your lungs and he groans, burying his face in your neck as both of his arms knot behind your back, “y/n...” he muffles his disapproval against your skin (though, it’s all in good fun. fred knows when you’re being serious), “i just love kissing you, snogging you, putting our lips together,”

you rest your cheek on his head, stroking from the top of his head down to his neck in a quiet mantra, “freddie, those are all the same thing,”

he snorts, “precisely,”

the two of you stay like that for a moment - to catch your breaths. but as much as you would love to stay like this, your assignments are still waiting by the table that - “love, ‘m gonna have to continue doing my work,” you try to ease him or rather, ease yourself out of his hold but he refuses like a child, tightening his hold around your waist, “wait! don’t pull away,” he whines, eyes clenched against your skin, “not yet...”

fred already knows you’ve given in when you don’t make any efforts to push him away, only welcoming him with arms wrapped around him and succumbing to idly being together in each other’s presence. sure, you didn’t get much done for that afternoon but, being with fred like this, your happiness meter was through the roof.

Happy Valentine’s Day from Trancer 42 and Trancer 8392.  Also, I totally want what Laika gets as a gift one day.  That would be the best ever.

There was a bouquet on Felipe's desk when he came in that morning.  A similar one was on his partner's desk, and his partner gave it a curious look as he picked it up.  His was in blues and emerald greens, with palm-sized blossoms, while Felipe's was full of oranges, pinks and reds.  Roses, peonies, hyacinths, even chrysanthemums.   They were all made of paper, a fact that Arpeggio was surprised about as he picked up one of the blooms and found the stem was a striped paper straw. "Huh?  I didn't know you could make flowers out of paper."  His voice wasn't as deadpan as usual, a hint of surprise and curiosity in it. Felipe, his hair the color of stoplights with hot pink tips, smiled as he set his next to his computer and flexed his fingers, waiting for it to boot up.  "Those are coffee filters.  And tissue paper." Arpeggio blinked as he sat down.  "How do you know?" "Well....I've made a few tissue paper flowers in my life.  Learnt that people on Valentine's day will pay a guy for any pretty flower when its past 6pm and the florists are closed." "Where did they come from??"  He turned to him.  "Did you make them?" Felipe laughed.  "Naw.  Mine don't look as good as the real thing.  They must be from a girl who wants to impress us." The TC stared at him with confusion.  "Huh?" "Crap, Arpeggio, don't you know?  Gonna be Valentine's day soon." He shook his head. "Never gotten valentines as a kid??"  Felipe could buy that Arpeggio didn't celebrate holidays, but he still forgot that Arpeggio didn't have the same kind of childhood as most kids. "That wasn't something...we did.  I guess once or twice I've gotten chocolate, but I'm not a huge fan so I always gave it to other people." Felipe winced good-naturedly.  "Dude, don't do that....  Those represent feelings, you know?" "I didn't.  I don't."  Know, that is, is what he meant, but these weren't things he learnt as a young child.  While kids learnt to read and write and maybe make crafts from leftover items in a home or classroom, he was training to play every instrument in an orchestra, how to run marathons, shoot guns, and memorize volumes of music. "So who are these from?" "Probably Laika." He blinked.  "How do you know?" "Cuz I helped her hand dye about, oh, 300 filters in easter egg paint a few days ago.  S'why my hands were rainbow-y." "I though she was dying your hair." "She was.  Then we did that.  She's pretty handy with paper, scissors and tape." "What are they for?" Felipe stared at him.  He quelled the impulse to holler "THIRD BASE" at him, then started to laugh uncontrollably.  "Dude...you on 88s?  Take some gabber to keep up with the conversation.  They're for valentine's day." The puzzlement didn't leave his face, and it made Felipe laugh, because the alternative was for him to pity him, and that wasn't something he wanted to do.  Arpeggio needed all the time he could get catching up on a social life. "For us?" "Yeah.  Sometimes, you give gifts to friends on V-day.  If you're JP though, you give chocolate, and you're obligated--if you got candy on Valentine's--to give back a gift a month later.  Its called White Day.  When I did Valentine's, I used to hang in the J-town district and got hella chocolate.  Made me a stud."  He could see his detour was distracting Arpeggio so he rounded back to the subject.  "Anyways.  She was gonna give a whole buncha people flowers for V-day.  She likes to make that kinda stuff." "What is she getting Sharp and Tungsten?"  Felipe raised an eyebrow, so he continued.  "I mean, I know its a romantic holiday, so I assume if there's gift giving, they give nice gifts to people...they...you know.  Like." "Well you know that much, you're not completely hopeless." There was a knock at the door and Felipe called them to enter.  Tungsten was there holding a small bag.  It had a lot of candy and envelopes in it. "Speak of the lil devil."  Felipe smiled at him.  "Man, you are popular." "Dude, what?  This is yours.  It was outside your office door."  He brought the bag over, where in delicate cursive, Trancer 42 was written in black permanent marker, and was stuffed with chocolate, candy, and lots of pink and red envelopes.  Felipe pulled one out and laughed.  There were a few labeled with his name, others with their number, and a good bunch with Arpeggio's name on them. Tungsten said, "I thought she was just making you flowers.  She musta made you guys a bag so people would know where to leave yours."  When he saw the boys' confused looks--Felipe's was more amused--he continued.  "I guess you didn't hear.  Everyone was doing valentine exchanges, so Laika and a buncha the girls went and made bags with the buildings' teams numbers on them so people can leave valentines to people without jamming them under the doors like last year.  A bunch got ripped or something." The red-haired Trancer was opening one envelope and tucking into a bag of candy hearts, reading the valentine.  "Yeah, we got a bunch last year; Arpeggio didn't know what to do with them so I put them inna box."  He nudged his partner as he showed him the one he was reading, addressed to Arpeggio.  "Mmmm, looka here, Pege, looks like you're pretty popular with the ladies." He shrugged, which elicited looks of exasperation from the other 2. "What are you getting the lady for the occasion?" asked Felipe.   The younger boy frowned.  "I don't know....flowers don't seem enough cuz she made so many, and she's better at making them.  I mean real ones I could, but...I dunno." "Want something special, yeah?" "I do.  Sharp doesn't know either.  She's not really a jewelry girl." Arpeggio shrugged.  "Well, what does she like?" "Everything." "That...doesn't....help." Felipe's eyes caught sight of the flowers on their desk.  He smiled.  "I got an idea....but we're gonna need someone to keep her away from home for the day." Tungsten and Felipe looked at Arpeggio who gave them a bewildered look. "Uh...I think I'm the wrong person." "That makes it perfect."

Laika wasn't sure why Arpeggio was taking her to lunch on Valentine's day, especially when she wanted to go with Sharp, but the latter was busy with some business, and Tungsten and Felipe said they were busy too.  It was pleasant if a bit awkward at first.  Laika's experience with Tchaikovsky's Children was exactly Sharp, and Arpeggio was different.  A little colder, more aloof, though never unfriendly--at least not to her.  After chatting mindlessly about the weather, work, and even the valentine's day bag she set up for them, she paused then changed the subject.  They'd just finished eating. "How are you and Felipe getting along?" He turned his head slightly, as if thinking.  "Hm?  Well...well enough, since we aren't as...antagonistic as you can see." "You know what they say, the more you fight, the more you like each other," she teased. He gave her a sheepish smile, but it was tinged with embarrassment.  "You don't believe that, do you?" "You look good together," she said with a smirk. He shut his eyes and gave a friendly exhalation.  "I'm sure we do but...I don't think that's really something I'm looking into.  I'd like to, despite the cliche, focus on my career.  Even if Felipe was at all attracted to me, and I don't think he is." Laika wasn't sure either.  "He's a tough nut to crack." "Really?  He's rather easy to read.  Compared to me, I suppose." "You think?  Sometimes I think he's hard to read." "I suppose its because I live with him that I have the luxury of thinking that."  His phone vibrated, so he took a look and saw that Felipe was telling him to bring her back.  He called for the check, paid despite her protests (he convinced her it was thanks for the flowers, which she amusedly accepted), and they headed back for the apartment. Felipe was sitting in his usual spot of the playground and smoking.  Arpeggio gave him a small wave as Laika approached. "Heyyyy," he said casually.   "What were you and Tungsten up to?" she asked, a little miffed. He only smiled as Arpeggio passed them and headed back to their apartment.  Felipe shrugged and followed.  "Well, you have a good night then." "What's all this about?" she demanded but Trancer 42 only headed back, took the stairs instead of the elevator.  Nettled, she made her way to her own apartment, intending to call her partners when she got in.  She came to the door, and unlocked the door, then dropped her keys in shock.  The foyer was draped in hanging paper wisteria flowers, with paper leaves, hanging by plastic hooks from the ceiling, and as she walked through, the living room area was decked out in paper roses, pansies, and more chrysanthemums made of tissue paper and coffee filters of all colors, some bright, other more subtle and faded.  A stand of giant crepe paper roses with bamboo stick stems was in the umbrella holder.   From more hooks on the ceiling are a few pomander balls of flowers made from paper lanterns and more coffee filters, dyed from the center out so they resembled dandelions in pinks and lavenders.  Clematis flowers decorated the sofa arms and back. The large vase on the living area table held a bouquet of roses made from sheets of music, delicately curled from the tips of the petals. Sharp and Tungsten, both wearing crepe paper flower boutonnieres in their vest pockets, were seated at the table, a tea set and small array of petit fours and macarons all set up for 3.  Her hands at her mouth as tears crowded her eyes, she couldn't find the words to say...well, anything. "Happy Valentine's Day," they said together as she quickly came over to throw her arms around them.

Their valentine's flowers gracing their table, red and blue flowers combined into one vase, Trancer 42 enjoyed their job well done.  Munching on a few of the leftover macarons from the set up, Felipe and Arpeggio were having a pot of earl grey tea in satisfaction.   "The set up was really nice," Arpeggio said, sipping his tea.  He'd seen the decorations from the picture sent earlier as a signal.  "But how did you 3 ever get all that done??" "Like I said," Felipe chirped as he chewed a strawberry macaron in relish.  "I've made a few of those puppies back in my day." "You really do have the strangest talents, Felipe." "You're welcome."

88 dandelions celebration 🌼 // dandelions: 88 tag "you can’t leave without letting me hug you first.” + “you look so comfy and cuddle-able.” // husband!fred x reader 🌸 [we’ll set this in modern!au once more!]

on certain occasions, fred was a morning person. and by that, it’s usually when it comes with his job that starts at 10AM sharp. now, on most days you’d be there with him, making breakfast together and occasionally having a morning concert to wake yourselves up for the day but today was different because unlike him, you had the day off. still, it didn’t feel the same not having him in the bed with you, so when he saunters off after waking up (of course, giving you a kiss on the forehead before he goes to get ready), you feel the emptiness in bed already waking you up.

just as fred’s done chowing down his breakfast, he hears the tell-tales of you waking up with a few thuds from the bedroom. he’s able to at least set aside your breakfast he had prepared on the island (nothing too fancy, couple of toast, eggs and some bacon but the thought alone filled your heart). he snorts at your figure slumply dragging yourself out in his oversized shirt hanging on your shoulders, lining your mid-thigh.

he shakes his head at the view, both in appreciation and adoration at how gorgeous someone can look with drool stains on their jaw, messy hair and barely open eyes.

fred tentatively steps into your arms when you spread them out, him walking out of the kitchen to meet you halfway in the living room beside his suitcase. he chuckles when you whine against his suit-clothed chest, arms snaking around his waist, “you can’t leave without letting me hug you first,” your words are muffled, but he catches all the syllables as he strokes your head, the other securing you around the waist.

“excuse me, then? what are we doing?” he retorts, looking down at your side profile as you huff, “you would’ve left if i hadn’t woken up,” you grumble, brows furrowed with your pout on display as you look up to him, chin still tucked against his chest.

“’m not gonna wake up my wife just to hug her goodbye, y’know. she deserves her rest,” he coos lovingly, and when you whine with a that’s not what we agreed on! he pacifies you with a kiss to your temple and soothes you back into his arms, well-aware that sometimes, mornings weren’t your forte but you dragged yourself out of bed just for him. wife or not, fred appreciates that a lot.

“aw, okay, okay,” he hushes you, snuggling you the best he can while standing up, “hug me as much as you want, you have exactly five and a half minutes before i have to leave,”

“m’kay,” your murmur to his clothed skin and snuggle against him, arms banding around his waist tighter. fred already ticks off the timer in his mind. once it reaches two minutes, he feels you growing weak and he sighs, carefully pulling you into his arms, easily guiding you back to the bedroom. he nudges you gently to lay down and despite your protests earlier, you’re succumbing to sleep as he tucks you back in, planting a kiss on your forehead as he uses the remaining three minutes to gaze at you lovingly.

today, morning was a little different. but as long as it had you in it, fred didn’t mind it.

fred spent a good portion of his time of the day searching all over for you. library? yep, not there. the common room where you usually lazed around in? nope, not there either. the seats nearby the corridors that you somehow claimed as yours? nah, not there either. so he’s at wit’s end trying to figure it out until hermione notices the redhead struggling and tips him that-”probably near the corner tables in the library, you know how she is,”

and fred’s on his very way.

he’s absolutely delighted at the sight of you and he internally curses himself for not searching hard enough. he just wanted to see you, always does. so when he does and you’re bundled up in books, cheek pressed to the table as you fiddle with your quill, not even the sliding of the chair can make you flinch. fred decides to move your things so he can put his head onto the table like you, almost mirror-like as he comes face to face, cheek to cheek onto the table.

grinning, he reaches out to push the strands of hair from your face, cooing softly, “hello there, lovely. took me a while to find you,” he chuckles... but his smile slowly fades when you only offer him a small smile and you’re back to wallowing in the pool of emotions you were perfectly drowning in earlier.

he frowns, shifting just a little bit closer towards you, “what’s the matter, love?”

when you don’t answer and shift your eyes to the table, fred tilts his head up to catch a glimpse of your notes and studying material. ah... of course, the boy’s mind fills in. he gazes back to you and quietly reaches for your hand on your lap. he doesn’t even need to look, using his hand to guide himself to find your hand. you gasp softly when his fingers brush against your skin and he quickly grabs onto it.

it grants fred the sight of your eyes widening at him, before they start to relax. he watches as the anxiety that was previously getting ahold of you, dissolve. the feeling of your heart thrashing from within, calms. fred fills his fingers between yours and smiles at you fondly - filled with so much love and care it’s taking an effect on you. his presence alone made you feel better. what made it even better than better? was that fred remembered.

he remembered the first time he saw you all flustered and he hadn’t known what to do - if he should do anything because what if he made you feel worse? so he asked. 

“what should i do, love?” fred inquires, willing to do anything if it meant making you feel better. you were nervous, not quite the one to directly ask for things and fred sees how hard you’re debating if you should even tell him. but you succumb to it and after a deep exhale, you put your hand out, “c-could you hold my hand?” fred’s heart warms. “of course, darling.”

it took a while, a moment of silence, before fred decides to-”i like the way your hand fits in mine, y/n,” he can tell it’s making you feel somewhat better when you blush, using your interlocked hands to hit his chest. he laughs. “see? it’s making you laugh! means you agree!”

“sod off, freddie!”

“no can do,” he tuts, shaking his head as he tugs you closer to him with your hands still tightly pressed together - palm to palm - “i’m not going anywhere.”

at the memory, your heart seems to calm itself. it brings a small smile to your face and what felt like nervousness and anxiety biting your veins, was now replaced with this warm feeling brewing from within.

“feelin’ a bit better there, gorgeous?” he questions, though, much like a rhetorical one when he’s well-aware of the answer. his heart starts to ease when you nod, cheek rubbing against the wooden table and he grins, feeling his heart relaxing a little as he sways your hand in his below the table - it felt like a secret, yet, everyone knew. but it was the little moments like this with fred that made you feel like the luckiest person alive.

the first time you’ve met all the weasley’s would be coming to the burrow introduced being introduced as his girlfriend. he had this proud grin on his face as he puffs his chest out, arm in arm with you as he gives you a grand introduction as you step into the place he grew up in. almost like a missing piece to a functioning machinery, you found yourself fitting in quite seamlessly - already helping molly with dishes, chatting with arthur about muggle-things because you had a fascination with them too, and braiding ginny’s hair? 

if you got past ginny, you’ve scored all the way in.

it’s been merely two days since you came to spend the summer with fred in the burrow and already, fred feels like you’re the missing piece that was meant to fit in the puzzle. fred had no idea he could fall in love with you even more but seeing you spin like matching cogwheels with his family members made his heart so, so full. like everything fell into place - dare he say - perfectly.

so when he’s staring at you from a distance, being in the kitchen beside his mother, she takes note of how his son is absolutely smitten.

“you do realize you can go on over there and join them?” molly retorts, snickering at how fred’s still in a daze as he waves a hand, “oh let me be, i’m not even doing anything wrong,”

molly follows his sight and adoringly watches you play a game of chess with ron - obviously you were going easy on him, but the sight of you carefully coaching him as well as playing against him was heartwarming. molly snorts.

“sometimes i wonder how on earth i got this lucky to be dating an actual angel,” he sighs, only to snap out of it a second later as he takes a side glance to his mother, “no offense, mom,” he laughs, and molly shakes his head with a laugh as well, “dunno, i’ll ask her how she’s an angel on earth then,”

fred can’t even stop his mother in time, dreading for when molly quickly strides her way to the living room - “no, mom! don’t tell her i said that about-!” fred only nervously chuckles when all eyes are on him, even more when he watches as molly whispers something into your ear that makes you giggle at fred’s way. it’s not that fred was embarrassed at what he thought - gosh no. if anything, he was very very vocal with what he thought about you (let’s not forget how he occasionally yells how gorgeous you are). it was... more like he’d prefer it if it came from him, not his mother.

he clears his throat and spins around to gaze out the window from the kitchen, the same time he feels your presence behind him. he anticipates for your arms around him and he exhales deeply at your touch, more so when you press your chest against his back and peek at him from the side.

“ello there, freddie,” you grin, megawatts of brightness literally blinding him. he smoothens his palms over your arms, relenting to turn around so he can hug you as he leans his hip against the counter, “alright then, go on, tease me about what mom said,”

“hm? what’d you mean?” you tilt your head at him and as a small pout forms on your lips, he cups your cheek with a hand, falling back into his trance, “good god... how on earth are you so captivating? i can’t even focus on what i was gonna say,” he rolls his eyes at you playfully, earning himself a laugh from you that warms his heart, playing on his heartstrings to dance along with the sound of your voice.

he actually snaps out of it when you plant a kiss to his cheek, murmuring a oh, you know, perks of being an angel on earth, fred weasley and he’s turning beet red as he spins around to watch you make your way towards the stairs, taking two steps at a time to climb up. adrenaline automatically fuels through his veins and his embarrassment is long washed away, now replaced with a sudden surge of energy, willing to show you just how much of an angel he thinks you are.

“oi! get back here!” he bellows, already running off after you, hot on your trail as your voice echoes down the stairs, “come get me, then!”

oh, i will, fred smirks, following suit to take two steps at a time as well, just you wait.

you couldn’t, wouldn’t, and don’t think you’ll ever believe that this was happening. your day had been fine, well, normal - like any average day, really, but today? oh boy oh boy, today you had a whole thing swinging your way when quite literally the person who you’ve been crushing on silently for the longest time swung and hit you pretty hard, only to say he’ll make it up to you if you allowed him to take you on a date. 

on a date.

on... a date.

so that’s how you ended up at the three broomsticks with fred weasley. said boy was sitting opposite you as the pair of you occupy a small table by the corner. it’s secluded, yet, you feel like you could see everyone from here and most importantly, freddie. see, deep down in your heart, you have some sort of attraction to this ginger haired boy. but you weren’t too sure if he felt the same way you did.

so of course, in the midst of dinner, after the initial few conversations of small talk that shifts into ones beneath the surface level, fred can sense you have something to ask when you grow silent. the different kind of silent he wasn’t used to. “got a question there, love?” he grins, putting down his mug and lets the butterbeer gulp down his throat before he leans forward, wiggling his brows. you swallow the lump in your throat, clearing it to ask softly: “say... why’d you, why this?”

he squints his eyes at you, “not quite sure i follow, y/l/n,”

your mouth opens to respond, only to close when you’re uncertain of what to say or how to ask him this. hey, why would you like someone like me? or why’d you ask me out on a date? isn’t something that you could easily slip across without them having the misperception. you heave out a deep breath and decide to just be honest - as if, you hadn’t been with him all this while.

“i-i mean... why did you ask me out on a date, weasley?”

his face does this thing where he looks rather confused but so, so adorable at the same time. how his brows furrow and his nose scrunches as he lean back a little at your question. to which he digests it and leans back closer towards you despite the table being the barrier between the pair of you.

“you’re joking right?” he asks, and he doesn’t know if he wants to kiss you or laugh when you look puzzled. for someone so smart, the lightbulb above your head seems to disappear when you hadn’t put the pieces together of today’s events.

“y/n, i’ve had the massive crush on you for the longest time,” he snorts, shaking his head at his own statement, “reckon the whole bloody castle could tell by now,” when he notices your cheeks reddening, he shrugs, using his eyes to point at you, “well, guess not everyone, then,”

at your silence, he reaches out to mess with your hair playfully, the affectionate gesture renders you speechless once more.

“i’m guessing you have no idea how i fell off the broom directly in front of you either, eh? or how george miraculously made everyone disappear just so i could have a moment with you?” he raises a brow, and you shake your head slowly, still not processing his words even though you understood him perfectly. your mouth opens once more, this time, a soft question of: “but why me? i’m-”fred cuts you off before you can say anything else”-bloody perfect, you are,” he finishes your sentence, his warm smile ebbing away your worries that tries to fill your system, washing away at the sight of his smile.

“i really do fancy you, y/n. a lot more than you think. it’s only our first date, wouldn’t want to scare you off with my deep and longing confession so, we’ll save it for next time, if that’s okay?” fred sees that at least you’ve managed to grasp his intentions now. how considerate he’s being to let you enjoy this moment without being bombarded with information but you were rather curious to when... when his crush started. maybe it was the same time as you, earlier? before you? you can’t think anymore when fred reaches across and carefully places his hand atop of yours, halting your thoughts from penetrating your mind further.

what he’s doing is working when you flip your hand over and allow him to hold onto your hand. the act alone is making you smile, the blush remaining on your cheeks and as you gaze back up, fred’s adoring the view.

“wow, i didn’t think you’d be able to make me smile this big,” he sighs, almost dream-like that it’s making you chuckle, shaking your head at him, “cheeky,”

“just the way you like it, i reckon,” he pokes his tongue at you and as shy as you were, your shell starts to shift off just a little - allowing fred to see another side of you that he’s grateful you’re showing when you respond with: “yeah, i do.” your hand squeezes his, and fred feels like he’s about to float up to heaven, “i really do.”

((”feelin’ a little cold there, love?” fred asks as the pair of you head your way back towards the dorms and you only give a meek nod. he peels his hand from yours that had been in his coat pocket, grinning at you as he makes quick work to remove his coat. he effortlessly swings it over your shoulder and his, having a coat big enough to cover the pair of you and his hand naturally reaches for your own, almost startling you but... not in a bad way.

his toothy grin comes into view as he tugs you to follow his walking and you blink a couple of times and walk alongside him. he chuckles when you’re silent, trying to look elsewhere despite being so close to him. what fred loves is that you’re not pushing him away, much like how you would to others at the thought of being physically near someone.

a thought pops into fred’s mind that he’s not just anyone to you, much like how you’re not just anyone to him. that allows fred to smile to himself and squeeze your hand, basking in the silence and in your presence, along with the reminder from time to time when you rub circles on his thumb as your hands remain intertwined.

first date: blew his heart out of the park, without you even trying.))

the night was supposed to be quiet in the burrow when it was just you and fred. somehow everyone’s timeline aligned for them to have plans at the same time and... well... you weren’t so keen on heading out and of course, fred loves to be with you so, he picked his side pretty quickly. as soon as dinner had been well-taken, fred drags you over to the fireplace and makeshift cuddle area. a couple of pillows alongside blankets, you couldn’t resist his efforts.

which brings you to nearly thirty minutes of you being able to do a bit of reading and fred’s not too far away (just next to you, a mere elbow reach away) trying to jot down some ideas for prank products. yet, neither of you last long when you constantly look at fred looking at you. he finally sounds his frustrations with: “quit smiling at me, will ya? you’re making it hard to concentrate,” he uses his eyes to point at his quill and parchment with a lot of crossed out words. you giggle behind your book, using a hand to run through his hair given you’re right next to him, “not my fault, you started staring first,”

“oi, that’s barely fair, who told you to be so gorgeous? of course ‘m gonna stare!” he huffs, setting his quill down and crumbles the paper, “i can’t stop messing up my sentences when you look at me like that!”

“you realize you make no sense, right freddie?” you snort, blowing a raspberry when he tosses the paper at your face. “you know what, love? this is war,” he cracks his fingers and you try to make a run for it, tossing your book mindlessly onto the floor and barely scrape out of his hold. he tackles you onto the rugged floor, eliciting a laugh that rumbles from your chest that turns awfully painful and hard to breathe when his fingers curl against your sides, repeatedly rendering you breathless, sucking all the air from your lungs. it’s starting to hurt when you can’t stop laughing and neither can fred when he just loves to see you smile.

your hands somehow get a hold of his shoulders and you pull him down, miraculously aligning your faces together and your lips press onto his. this grants him to stop tickling you, flattening his palms to your sides and he moans when your lips part for him to kiss you deeper. from what started in a frenzy, kissing in a haste, slowly mellows out when your heaving chests and exhales through the nose subsides. passionate and gentle lip locking soon takes over and you chuckle when fred pulls away.

he takes advantage of hovering over you, hands now crawling up to your cheeks so he can pepper kisses all over. he starts with your forehead, then to your closed eyes, over to your nose, cheeks (both sides, of course), then to your jaw, down to your neck, and starts the cycle over again until you’re giggling and painted red with blush. he decides to stop, heaving a deep sigh as he rests his forehead on yours. maybe it was the fire next to you that made you feel hot, but it could also be the overwhelming love you have for the man cocooning you in, brewing in your chest that it spreads through your veins.

fred gazes into your eyes and shakes his head, murmuring over your lips, “you make me so happy,”

you don’t answer him with words, only tugging him back down for a kiss and fred’s heart soars to the heavens. your heart meets his in sky when in between kisses, you whisper i love you, freddie and you catch each word of his sentence echoing into your ears as he makes it a point to stop kissing you just to reply: ”i love you most, y/n. so bloody much.” your heart, races faster than fred’s up into the stars, but he catches up with yours in a constellation, paired together, ethereal and glowing together with love.

 “i would’ve had breakfast ready, but you were sleeping on my arm, and i didn’t want to wake you.” // husband!fred x reader 🌸(modern!au as well! non-related to hogwarts)

you come to wake when you’re greeted with light honking from the cars buzzing outside the apartment along with the thuds from the tenants above you and below you. altogether, they make up your alarm clock, paired together with the soft sounds of fred’s breathing. your ears focus to the noises closer to you instead and your eyes peel open. it takes a couple of times of blinking before your vision focuses and you move your arms to find out where they are, curling around fred’s torso a little bit more and looking up to see fred already looking at you, beaming with a smile.

“g’morning, gorgeous,” his voice is raspy from waking up as well, hoarse, but the syllables of his words still hit against your eardrums like a pleasant melody, a familiar tune you’d want to get lost in forever.

“g’morning, freddie,” you murmur to his chest, before turning your face to bury yourself there. you curl deeper against him and he chuckles, wrapping his arms around you and turning the pair of you to rest on your sides; both bundled in each other’s presence - so tranquil, so... blessed.

“what’s for breakfast?” your words are swallowed against him, yet, fred knows you all-too-well. he laughs into your hair, shaking his head, “you’re already talking about food the moment you wake up?”

you groan and shake a little in his hold, making all sorts of incoherent sounds before you muster up words, “’m a little hungry, and i like to eat with you,” your hands clutch onto the material of his shirt behind his back.

“well, i would’ve gotten breakfast ready but,” he pulls back just a little, catching a glimpse of your eyes, “you were sleeping on my arm. didn’t wanna wake you,” at his words alone, your heart is already going soft in his hands. it’s probably eight in the morning, it’s too early to feel this sweet.

“how are you always so sweet to me, mr. weasley?” you tip your chin up, brows furrowed and pout all cute and all. too precious for this earth, you are, fred muses in his mind. “and how are you so adorable? always so adoringly pretty, and kind, and-”your laugh cuts him off, head falling back and fred reels you back in, slotting your face against him and his arms tighten around you, “see? we’re even, mrs. weasley,” he snorts when you huff, the hot air hitting his skin and of course, the soft grumbles from your tummy cues that it’s time to-”alright, breakfast coming up!”

fred intends to go off to the kitchen to make breakfast on his own, but when you make grabby hands at him, how could he not resist bringing you with him?
