Who knew The Sun could love The Star

Nico loved the Sun

He basked in it’s presence all day

He talked to the Sun

He played under the Sun’s watch

The Sun knew everything about him

Then he moved to America

The Sun seemed to have changed personalities

but he didn’t care

It was still the Sun

Then he only saw the Sun when moving schools

He watched it in the window during lectures

and talked to it during recess

Nico loved the Sun so much

Then he thought he met the Sun

The Sun drove them to Camp Half-Blood

The winter sky there hid the Sun’s remains

Any streak of sunlight was savored

One day he got hurt

He was comforted yet again by the Sun

The son of the Sun at least

But his shine seemed a little brighter

The Sun was not there to comfort him

He still strolled in peace with the Ocean though

Then the Ocean threw a forceful wave at him

The Sun streaked the sky less dim than usual then

The Sun shone down on a part of the Big House

but Nico ran toward the woods

The wave was the Ocean’s fault

He never wanted to see the Ocean again

He met his father

There was no Sun there

Was it wrong to love the Sun

if it were so far away from his territory?

The day the Ocean had nearly killed him

He decided he’d loved the Ocean

The Sun had never to tried

to love him like this

He forgave the Ocean

for he now loved the Ocean for reasons

Unexplainable

Nico convinced his father to help the Ocean

The Sun was beating down at them that day

It was inappropriate of the Sun to be so bright

on such a day of death and sacrifices

He disliked the Sun

He went to his house

to find a Gemstone in the fields of bored dead

The Gemstone was an otherworldly sister

Nico and his father took the Gemstone her world

Where the Sun was excited to meet her

He decided to live and learn about his Gemstone

He couldn’t help but call the Gemstone

his Skull sometimes though

The Sun wasn’t happy about Nico’s

love for the Ocean

Nico’s stubborn loyalty to the Sun

made him agree

but the Sun wasn’t the only reason

he hated loving the Ocean

Darkness taught him to hate the Sun

after 5 days without the Sun saving him

Angry Love forced Nico to confess to himself

that he loved the Ocean more than he wanted

The Sun was never there

He arrived back at Camp Half-Blood

The Sun’s gaze shifted in and out of the clouds

switching who it watched

It rarely was Nico

Nico hated the Sun for not comforting him anymore

He was reunited with the son of the Sun

He didn’t want anything to do with the Sun’s

children

But covered in darkness could work

Not where he could get caught by the Sun though

Nico worked with the son begrudgingly

Maybe he even secretly liked it a little

Since he no longer loved the Ocean

The Small Sun watched him kill

and he didn’t seem to mind

After confessing to the Ocean

the Small Sun called him over

3 days of Small Sun

3 days of Healing

3 days of being shown care

He talked with the Small Sun daily

Laughing with eachother

Chasing each other

Sunshine took care of him

Sunshine looked after Nico

Made sure he ate

slept and drank water

Nico was fascinated by his commitment

He started to hang out with Sunshine

After his shifts in the infirmary

Even during he helped Sunshine

And before when they ate together

Sunshine taught him things

to swim, to read, to do paperwork, to keep healthy

to Love

Solace loves him

Comfort loves him

Sunshine loves him

Small Sun loves him

The son of the Sun loves him

The Sun loves him

Nico loved the Sun once again

but not his father

Just his Sun

He loves his Sun

Nico learned about his Sun

He learned about his Sun’s

life, love, care, soul, heart, mind, body

He takes part in his Sun’s life

He and his Sun love eachother

He and his Sun care for each other

He explores his Sun’s soul

He holds his Sun’s heart close to his own

He listens to his Sun’s mind

He touches his Sun’s body gently and with affection

anon, i am so so so sorry i took so long in answering this but to be fair, i consider this such a loaded question because GOSH the amount of headcanons i have about these two but okay okay i'm finally doing it.

River locks away some encounters with the Doctor and sometimes when she's cheeky - okay, she's always cheeky with them (who are we kidding) - she uses a totally random set of words to unlock those encounters.

Then the Doctor is just chilling with Companion or some random being - no, let's make the stakes higher. Doctor and Companion(s) running away from danger or are in a life-and-death situation and said words get uttered and the Doctor just goes ballistic and the poor companion doesn't have a clue. Their captors end up letting them go.

Said words are in different languages by the way.

River and 11 had kids. And 12. I mean it was implied that River's pregnant in The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon sooo...

The Doctor has a habit of going back in time and meet up with different painters, poets, playwrights, sculptors, etc. to commission stuff with River as the subject.

After Area 51 happened for both of them, they would greet each other with the number of anniversaries they had lived through.

Older 11 does his best to soften the blows he knows young River will experience as she moves along her timeline.

11 bought an entire archeological set and placed them all in his bigger-on-the-inside pocket in case River would need one.

The Doctor hardly slept before River. After loosing her, they couldn't sleep in their bed anymore. Because they kept on reaching for her and kept finding it empty.

Older River loves winding up younger versions of the Doctor because an older Doctor did the same to younger her.

The Doctor has a room dedicated to stuff they think River would love.

River's lipsticks taste like sweets because the Doctor likes sweets.

The Doctor hates it when River puts her hair up in a ponytail. Considers it a crime worthy of being banned by the Shadow Proclamation.

The Doctor keeps one of River's guns hidden in the console.

River has met older regenerations of the Doctor but her memories of them are locked away.

Her memories of 12 pre-Darillium were unlocked when 12 uttered "Hello, Sweetie".

The Doctor (11) hangs red balloons whenever he and River are doing "humany-wumany stuff".

River's love for funny-looking socks rivals the Doctor's love for hats.

An older Doctor taught young River Gallifreyan; an older River corrects a younger Doctor's Gallifreyan.

They both tell each other bedtime stories. A younger Doctor would be told bedtime stories by an older River. A younger River would be told bedtime stories to help keep away the nightmares. When he began telling younger River bedtime stories, he realized he was the one who started that tradition and she was doing it with her past and him in mind.

Nightow naming the chapter 'Wolfwood' has always stuck with me, specifically because of the way it makes the chapter end:

We spend a short amount of time at the end of this chapter with the brief belief that Wolfwood might actually be fine. Us, the readers, alongside Vash, are temporarily allowed a moment of denial before reality comes crashing down again.

And then this. Something as simple as the chapter's end notice, here to inform you that no, this is the end. The end of Wolfwood - the chapter and character, both.
