To know, know, know him is to love, love, love him
Just to see him smile, makes my life worthwhile
To know, know, know him is to love, love, love him
And I do (and I do, and I, and I do, and I, and I do, and I, and I do, and I)
I'd be good to him, I'd bring love to him
Everyone says there'll come a day when I'll walk alongside of him
Yes, just to know him is to love, love, love him
And I do (and I do, and I, and I do, and I, and I do, and I, and I do, and I)
Why can't he see how blind can he be?
Someday he will see that he was meant for me, oh oh, yes

Delores LaVern Baker (November 11, 1929 – March 10, 1997) was an American R&B singer who had several hit records on the pop chart in the 1950s and early 1960s. Her most successful records were "Tweedle Dee" (1955), "Jim Dandy" (1956), and "I Cried a Tear" (1958). Baker was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991. The Hall remarked that her "fiery fusion of blues, jazz and R&B showcased her alluring vocals and set the stage for the rock and roll surge of the Fifties". From 1955 to 1965, 20 of her songs made the R&B charts. Over the years, Elvis Presley recorded eight Baker songs

WHY ONLY B&W? 📸
— Elvis photographies by Alfred Wertheimer
Up until now I though, probably you too, that B&W was the only way to go in the 50s when it comes to photography, but no, it wasn't. So, why having photographed Elvis so much, A. Wertheimer did never experiment with color photography?
There's a reason.
Autographed copy "Elvis '56: In the Beginning" by Alfred Wertheimer. Source: archive.org
"During a review of my photo contact sheets at RCA Victor, Anne [Fulchino] asked me to cover Elvis on Steve Allen's new TV show. She said that even though Elvis was getting a lot of bad press, he was really a sweet boy. So she wanted some "nice" pictures. I was never encouraged to use color film to photograph Elvis. Although Anne had confidence that Elvis would make it, other people at RCA didn't think he would last for more than six months. Shooting color was expensive, black and white was all that was necessary." — Alfred Wertheimer.
— Excerpt from "Elvis '56: In The Beginning" by Alfred Wertheimer
Elvis Presley is pictured with Anne Fulchino, publicist for RCA Victor's Pop Records Division, waiting for the elevator at CBS Studio 50 in New York City on Saturday, March 17, 1956. She hired Alfred Wertheimer to photograph EP for the first time on March 17, 1956.

Put your lips next to mine, dear
Won't you kiss me once, baby?
Just a kiss goodnight, maybe
You and I will fall in love (you and I will fall in love)
People say that love's a game
A game you just can't win
If there's a way
I'll find it someday
And then this fool will rush in

Buddy Holly (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959)
“Buddy, I can still see you with that shy grin on your face
Seems like your hair was always a little messed up, kinda out of place
Now not many people actually knew you, or understood how you felt
But just a song from, just a song from you could make the coldest heart melt“
Eddie Cochran, Three Stars
