Aeneas just suddenly Appears in the middle of Dido's throne room and while everyone's recovering from this he opens with "Ma'am, you would not BELIEVE the shit I've had to deal with"

#please feel free to ignore this #I'm reading The Aeneid #This scene is a little wild because it goes #1) Achates and Aeneas realize all their friends are alive and okay and here in Dido's throne room #2) Venus' cloud disperses so suddenly everyone can see them again #3) Vergil decides that now is the time to let us know Aeneas is extremely hot #4) Aeneas introduces himself and then opens his plea to Dido with 'We are the scraps the Greeks left. We have nothing.' #Just a lot going on emotionally and narratively
