hi! i saw that you reblogged something about not caring about notes and stuff. I had a question abt reblogs, do you read the tags when people rb or would you rather they just add it as a caption or smthn? im trying to figure out which is better jhsdjhsdjh

I do read tags! I tend to put a lot of my own thoughts in the tags of stories I reblog so I also read all the tags of things people reblog from me. However, due to the new update where you can see the tags in the notifications (at least for desktop), I wouldn’t be too worried about where you put comments.

Honestly, I’d just be happy to get reblogs, but I’d be ecstatic to get comments. Thank you for taking the time to ask! (I will say I tend to respond to captions more often than to tags so if you’re looking for an actual response your best bet is the caption.)

Little oneshot of Roman with his Gay Eyes <3

Happy wasn’t normally a word Virgil would use to describe himself. Cautious? Yes. Gloomy? Yes. Mostly content with life? Yes. But happy? There was a warmth in his chest that has yet to fade away since Thomas met Nico. There was this peace that settled over the Mind Palace, and it was, for the lack of a better word, nice. Even when the others were being loud, over-dramatic and messy, it was still enjoyable. 

“Roman keeps looking over here and making weird faces.” 

Virgil paused, a puzzle piece in his hand, at the sound of Logan’s voice. The two of them were in the living room, working on a puzzle with a galaxy print on it, and there was some soft music coming from the kitchen. He turned to look at Logan curiously, before his gaze flickered over to the kitchen. Patton was at the stove, head bopping to the music, but Roman was looking over, standing in a way to make it seem like he wasn’t. “Oh, that’s just his Gay Eyes.”

“Ah.” Logan hummed softly, turning his attention back to the puzzle. He started to put a piece down, but paused, a frown tugging at his lips. “What exactly are Gay Eyes?”

Virgil sighed, eyes flickering to Roman for a moment before turning his attention back to the puzzle. “Just some weird flirting thing with his eyes. He’s been doing it on and off for a couple of weeks. I don’t know why.”

Logan hummed thoughtfully, gaze flickering between Roman and Virgil. He knew he could be rather clueless when it came to flirting and all that nonsense, but he has picked up a few things over the years. And there was one blatantly obvious thing that Virgil was clearly missing. “Well, there is one thing I should make clear.” His voice was light, and he put his piece down and he stood. “Roman’s definitely not looking at me.” With that, he turned and made his way upstairs, feeling like his point was made.

Virgil frown slightly, watching Logan go. What did he mean by that? His gaze flickered back over to Roman and Roman perked up slightly as their eyes met. A shy little grin, and a little wave, and oh... The realization hit him in the chest and Virgil’s face heated up. He pulled his hood up over his head and flopped over, hiding behind the coffee table. He could hear Roman giggling softly over the music, and a new warmth twisted in his chest. 

They’d have to talk about this later, Virgil knew that. But later. Once his heart stopped racing pleasantly in his chest.

i came up with this au while half-asleep on christmas morning, but fleshed it out over the last couple days so here we go. also i word vomited so the actual start is under the cut.

in this universe, everyone has some type of magic, either a bender or a shifter, that manifests around age 6.

BENDERS each have something they can create and/or manipulate, and it can range from physical manipulation to psychic manipulation, ex. water benders, sound benders, mind benders.

SHIFTERS can shapeshift between two forms, a hybrid between human and mob or the mob itself, ex. creeper shifters, blaze shifters, cow shifters.

dream founded and ruled the city of esmpia (i couldn’t think of a better name) with an iron fist, with george and sapnap reluctantly enforcing his laws. until the sleepy boys arrived. after following in the footsteps of his survivalist father philza and his warrior brother technoblade, wilbur was looking to prove himself. when he saw injustice in the city, he decided to gather citizens to challenge dream. with his family and the people of esmpia by his side, they overthrew dream, cast him out, and renamed the city. now, the people of l’manburg live together as a community.

after leaving the city, dream takes in tommy and tubbo, two orphans with powerful magic. dream is a magic bender who can steal aspects of people’s magic, so he takes tommy’s ability to manipulate electricity and tubbo’s ability to shift, allowing him to control electricity and to shapeshift into different animals.

tommy:

tommy’s an electricity bender with the potential to summon lightning bolts, but he can’t control his magic since he’s only just got it fully back

his parents died when he was about 5, and he was left in the wild just outside of esmpia where he befriended 6 yo tubbo. after months of stealing from l’manburg, they were both taken in by dream after he was banned from esmpia, and he raised and trained them for most of their lives

growing up, tommy and tubbo were taught by dream that they were weaker because of their “lack” of magic so that they were dependant on him to defend their home, but tommy was confident that he could defend himself and believed in his abilities

on his 16th birthday, he tried to go out and fight mobs on his own. he returned safely, but dream yelled at and slapped him. neither of them were allowed to leave their camp after that

that night, tubbo convinced tommy that they should leave and start new lives in the city nearby, l’manburg, so they and spend a week walking to join the new city

dream follows them l’manburg, but at the city gates, tommy tells tubbo to go get help while he keeps dream away. dream calls tommy ungrateful and attacks him, and tommy kills him in self defence (though he will respawn later). upon his death, dream returns tommy and tubbo’s magic, and tommy passes out from it

tubbo:

tubbo is a ram shifter, but he doesn’t know how to shift because dream left him in hybrid form for most of his life

tubbo was abandoned by his father schlatt so lived in the wild just outside of esmpia until he befriended tommy and was taken in by dream

tubbo believed dream’s claims that he was physically weak, so he grew up hiding behind tommy’s bravado to plot their mischief. he’s less bold as tommy, but is analytic and book smart

when tommy went out on his own to fight mobs and survived, tubbo stayed behind and fought mobs from their camp and realized that they were both stronger than dream had said. he sees its unfair how dream scolds them, and gets righteously mad when dream slaps tommy 

when tommy sends him into town to get help, he finds a girl named niki and her brother ranboo and begs them for help. they follow him to the gates, and tubbo sees the moment tommy stabs dream. 

as dream falls, tubbo starts growing horns and passes out from the pain of getting his magic back
