#2021 butter comeback

It's been almost a day but I finally forced myself to read some stuff about today's news and as I assumed, it's unclear if they already signed or not. But there must be an understanding that they will. Maybe Namjoon's already signed since he's desperate like that. And Jungkook, obviously.

Apparently tho, the current contract is still running until end of 2024. I don't know and frankly don't really care about the specifics. I've only ever signed contracts for apartments that I've rented.

I also think it's probably what Jimin was talking about in his last live when he said he'd been having conversations with the company on how to ~meet the fans again. The timing would make sense, and him not being able to talk about it so openly would also make sense. Not that I have much interest in law anyways.

I still believe too that it's curious that he doesn't mention 2025 as much as everyone else seems to lol. He could've easily mentioned a comeback in that live if contract talk was so fresh, but he didn't. I'm not saying curious in a conspiracy theory type of way, but just because changes in Jimin have almost always meant something.

I genuinely don't see 2025 happening as of right now, and I would have to see it to believe it. Though I'm not sure I'm still going to be here anyways. When, if it happens it's just plain insane to think it's going to be idol era again where they release two full albums and go on tour each year. It's literally going to be like butter and ptd were with a couple of months with schedule and then radio silence for the rest of the year. At most, they could (probably will) do solo stuff in the time in between.

BTS as I knew and loved was over in 2021 for me, and I think time will only keep "killing" (if you will) the things people love the most about them, so to me it's still soooo over.

I saw people flapping their wings about how were rarely gonna see Jikook….

We know for sure we will see them in:

• run episodes

• brand deals/photoshoots/ambassadorships (Aka baskins, bodyfriend, ioniq, hyundai, Louis Vuitton)

• army kits/membership content

• their government envoy roles/visits

• behind the scenes/visiting each other’s sets/Bangtan bombs

• spotted on member dates

• Bon Voyage/in the soop (they mentioned it during their festa photoshoots while knowing about their solo projects and was adamantly giving ideas as well as being happy they can do it now)

• upcoming DVDs (memories 2021, PTD DVD/documentaries)

We might see:

• seasonal packages like winter & yearly DVDs (we won’t know until a seasons greetings announcement) but it seems likely as it’s general content and not music related and they’re still doing group activities

• performances/award shows (they have a fifa related performance later in the year, they’re planning on a run BTS choreography and might attend award shows together for proof album or for their own solo stages and will support each other)

• song features (fingers crossed could do a collab/performance stage/song cover together )

• vlives (could see them pop up in others lives if in the building, group lives I think would be harder )

What we won’t see:

• concerts

• group interviews

• albums, group songs, music videos + promotion

Then we won’t see will be replaced by members/collab/unit concerts + interviews + music videos + songs and we’ve had a year gap between a song with butter > proof. This time it will be filled with 2-3 comebacks.

Their time is gonna be less 95% BTS + 5% solo music time and be more 50/50.

We won't know for sure until things are dropping/announced. But I agree. We may see *less* of them, but we will definitely still be seeing them at times! 🥰🥰🥰 thanks for dropping all this for us!

Biography

As a kid, Jimin used to have lots of hobbies, following anything that piqued his interest. However, when he discovered dance, he realized this was his calling and took lessons for two years while in middle school before getting into Busan High School of Arts. He interrupted his scolarity once he got recruited by Big Hit. He’s the last member to have joined BTS, two years before their debut. Always hard-working, Jimin has illustrated himself through his dance and his acrobatic figures but he also know for his kindness towards the members and the fans.

Anniversary follow-up

So Jk explained his whole sleeve in the Weverse live on Feb 2, confirming more than half a year later what his tattoo artist polyc already shared on his insta story.

There are numbers hidden in the tattoo and it's the date when he came to Seoul (he claimed yet again).

Thanks to polyc, we knew about the meaning half a year earlier, so bless that man. The fact that he couldn't help himself and shared a quickly deleted story outlining the numbers with that emoji blushing peeking out between fingers... dude knew. I get that... I mean even if shipping is a widely popularized activity nowadays, the reality of something like that is still mind blowing and super exciting if true.

I did a compilation of Jk's obsession with June 4 2011 before, and I admire his consistency. The last time he mentioned the exact date was in 2021 during their Butter comeback vlive show.

Later, we got non-verbal acknowledgements: from his developer notes for their game In the Seom to the tattoo cover up in early 2022.

A key point: Jk keeps the meaning of [June 4 2011] vague and fickle (changes every now and then), but for people who pay attention, it's easy to tell what it means to him.

As a side note: based off how he wishes to NOT link anyone else to the date, he wants to be low key. From what I've gathered so far and the reason why I'm cautious with words here, it is not something they want exposed to the public. (It's also a sensitive period, being loud can only be detrimental.) They didn't have plans in the past, and have no current plans in the present. The future is unknown and it's not my place, or any outsiders' to presume.

Like I've said, it's a tricky balance to toe writing about them and trying not to write too explicitly. I'm glad my tumblr is so obscure that I feel like I can still do this.

This set in a human au where your a college student in the brink of getting broke. Your running out of job options since the customers are either rude or the management is. So you wouldn't believe your luck on one opening. It's a host job, but the pay is good, you call the manager and scheduled a meeting; you got the job

Working there is not so bad and the customers loved your humor and wit. As you go home you bumped into someone, he chide into your face to watch where you're going while you retorted with a snappy comeback, his brothers behind him snicker at your words and you continued your way home.

The manager called in asking you to entertained guests in the VIP room since one of the other host is at the hospital. You agreed but didn't expect your customers were the rude man and his brothers

Another yandere Obey me college human au but this time the brothers keep finding little notes in their bags. Each note is different for each brother.

Lucifer - Praises how hard he's working and how heartwarming on how caring brother he is.

Mammon - How they find his tsundere ways cute, how he's such a caring brother and he is the greatest.

Levi - They love how passionate he is with the things he loves and geeks out with him.

Satan - They loves his thirst for knowledge and recommend books and crime shows for him

Asmo - They tell him how he's such a sweet brother and jokingly tell his horoscopes.

Beel - They praise him for always looking out for his brothers and often tell him new places to eat.

Belphie - They give him ideas for pranks and like to tease him and call him sleeping beauty

The brothers have no idea how the person can slip these notes in their bag so easily. Lucifer thinks this person is buttering them up to get away with things, Belphie remarks how this person must be stalker and Mammon claims what their doing is stupid.

Suddenly it stopped, the little notes in their bag disappeared. At first it didn't bother them since it means their stalker was gone, but overtime they miss the notes, realizing how much it brighten their day a bit. It got to the point that they're trying to find the person, putting their bags at the open and waiting in the corner to catch them. It didn't work and over the month the brothers were getting restless. They were discussing in and empty classroom when they heard people outside, at first they ignored it but what came next caught their attention.

"I'm so glad you stopped doing those notes. They were scum anyway."

"Hell yeah, those assholes fucking better watch their mouths next time they call you a stalker."

"They have the audacity call you that when your trying to be kind to them."

Those words pissed them off a bit, Mammon rushed to the door, intending to give them a piece of his mind when a new voice came.

"Guys, come on the wall have ears, and yeah I'm glad I'm over them. I really did admire them, they have such a healthy relationship with each other even if they're stubborn to admit it but I know they love each other. I really liked them but it looks like it wasn't meant to be."

The brothers waited until their footsteps faded, slowly they came out one by one stunned on what they heard, and the next day they saw Mephistopheles getting little notes is the time they knew they screwed up.

Hi BMT, I wonder what happened between BTS and Hybe these last 2 years. Back in 2019, things seemed alright, the company let BTS slowed down after their renewal (one korean comeback instead of two, an extended vacation). The pandemic ruined everything, so, it's not the company's fault. After Dynamite, Jin and NJ talked openly their mixed feeling about this success. I don't understand why Butter and PTD happened, it seems like the company stoped listening to them until BTS reached their limit.

They entered into the toxic phase of the relationship 💀

Of course the pandemic affected their break plans, they were supposed to go on tour and then a hiatus. After the release of Dynamite and given how succesful it became, I guess the company wanted to ride the wave. The better a song does, especially if it's also at an international, mainstream level, the more money they made. And they also thought they had a chance at the Grammy with Dynamite so when that didn't happen, my guess is they thought they need to perfect the recipe, which brought BTS to 2021 and everything they put out, which they could have done without. At least the limit was reached and they can finally slow down and release the music they want for themselves. Hopefully.

this is a bit random but i remembered you saying in your tags that your will to live dropped after ptd did and like... the real lasting legacy for ptd for me personally is that now i have trust issues every time a kpop group i like is about to release a song. like the preview for back for more sounds good and that makes me a bit optimistic but part of me is also cautious bc a preview is just a small snippet, what if the whole track turns out to be a song that i dislike and that i feel doesn't fit txt at all? maybe a few years ago i would've been purely excited but now there's always that part of me that's like "please don't be another ptd" so i feel cautious before every release

anyway this is just a vent and this is my own personal problem, like i said i think the preview sounds good and it's cool that other people are excited! this is just more of a "what if" nagging thought for me and sometimes i wonder if other fans feel the same or if i'm just being pessimistic

JDKAJDJA i feel u 😔 personally i don't have a problem if i don't like a song one of my fav groups releases, so i won't be TOO disappointed if i don't like it. plus as someone from brazil i am REALLY excited to see them releasing a feature with a brazilian artist tbh 😭 my problem with ptd was the series of unfortunate events that lead us to that moment yk? like they were supposed to promote mots7 (which to me was a wonderful album) and go on tour, but then covid happened so the tour was cancelled, then they released dynamite... which was a BOP ngl i loved it i was just as obsessed as anyone else. but bighit saw how well the song performed internationally, especially in the usa, and seemed to become obsessed with trying to make bts appeal to the american media. so we got butter (and i was FUMING at the time bc txt had a cb with 0x1 shortly after a fcking bts comeback and i felt like they wouldn't stand a chance against bts on mysic shows and stuff 😭) and later on we got ptd which to me is honestly the weakest and most generic song bts has ever released. bts went from a group that co-wrote and co-produced most of their songs to a group that was being forced to only sing other people's generic stuff. (and i won't even mention BE bc that felt like a fever dream tbh it was literally released just as damage control and also at a specific time of the year so bts could win album of the year in 2021 without actually releasing an album in 2021.) and now that bts is on a hiatus i fear that they try to put them txt through a btsification process or smth idk???? but at least for now it doesn't seem to be the case. i don't mind them appealing to the american public and releasing songs that are meant to be a radio hit over there or whatever, as long as they don't lose their essence in the long run... and considering this album concept seems to be following that txt formula we know and love (since it's a continuation of the previous one, apparently), i think everything's still ok for now.

plus around the time do it like that was released they mentioned it on a welive that korean fans were getting kinda frustrated at how much promotion they were doing in the usa and not in korea and they were like don't worry we still have smth BIG coming up for us in korea, and i'm p sure they were talking about the album!! so i think we will survive. i hope. particularly i'm super excited to find out what the album is gonna sound like!! it's the first full album since freeze so hopefully we'll get many great tracks to jam to

I don’t want to be negative but I’m kinda disappointed that the new album is just a collection of their old songs. My excitement level dropped significantly lol. I listen to their old songs all the time and i love them and i want them to make something similar but not the exact songs!we need something new, something refreshing. I was so ready and excited for a new era and new songs but now I feel meh 😑 i just hope my excitement builds up again somehow.

Is it even a matter of negativity tho??? I said a while ago I don't usually have any expectations for their releases except that they look like the company actually invested in them. Even with no expectations boy what a way to kill any excitement about a comeback. There's no logic to it from an *artistic* standpoint; they haven't put out more than two songs in two years. They used to do two albums per year. The only people I've seen genuinely excited about this are *some* of the 2020 armys, which of course, it's pretty much their first comeback 😭😭 and even then other new fans aren't happy about it.

It's a money grab album. No way to sugar coat it. The music is music we already know. If the rumours are true there will be a couple of demos and that's about it. The only probably exciting thing about it could be the additional content that they'll release for the comeback. Which is why half of the fandom are here for anyways, for the Bangtan bombs and the videos and all the ot7 content curated for them. Bighit has consistently used nostalgia as a clutch for every release and even performances, that's why every year there are theories about BTS doing something like hyyh again; because bighit has hinted at it every year and it was never true. This time they took it seriously and are apparently re-releasing hyyh I guess 😳

It also made me think about how armys (I guess they are mostly "older" armys) always wanted to have hiphop BTS back, and they don't say this anymore, probably because they've moved on, but they would say that they wanted the old BTS back, we want to listen to the old BTS, stuff like that. And some super suuuuuper edgy sassy af armys were like "the songs are still there, if you want to, you can go and listen to them". Now some of those same people are like "this is actually the epitome of brilliant marketing people who never listened to the old songs and for some reason can't go on YouTube or Spotify, now have an album to buy so they can finally listen to those songs that have been on the internet since 2013!!!" What a relief, where would army be without this new album. Compilations have always been made to sell only, and that's it. And for the record, when people say they want the old BTS, they mean that they want good music.

It also made me think back to the live they did for BE re-release on February 2021, that Jimin was like "I said we should include at least one new song :/ " and he was right to probably feeling embarrassed about it. It's literally a scam to sell the same product as something brand new. At least they put 3 new songs in this one 🤪

Back in 2020 I thought mots7 and the things they said at the end of the year award shows were kind of pointing to it being the last album and tour, and now I think it probably was. The compilation would've been released at the end of the year as a way to tie it all up nicely. That made sense, at least to me. Ironically, they got a second chance, they got a couple more years to keep making music and being BTS. Not everything was bad, of course, I loved dynamite. I think 2020 was really good musically wise, because dynamite is a nice song and the performances were good. After dynamite, nothing of artistic value happened. I don't even hate butter or PTD, but it's not music that I consider to be good and that I willingly listen to.

Bottom line is, I don't think a compilation/anthology album is bad. It's bad to release it after two years of no music and when nobody knows if there will be more music after this year, because it's likely that at least Jin will have to enlist come December.

No money or time or efforts or even feelings went to producing, composing or writing new songs, it's a safe and lazy decision. In the case they're all enlisting together (I personally don't think they will but in the case), to me it feels like a sour end. The last time they actually put out an album was 2020. It's just sad to me, I don't think I'm disappointed because the bar was already on the floor after 2021, but it's just sad, I guess I could say I am bitter about it.

This person is a clown. BTS are not releasing anything; HYBE is releasing and all they want is the sales 😭 armys actually hate kpop groups and then hide that behind their army identity; that's all I'm going to say.

SAAC SOARS INTO NEW SEMESTER!

Over the last few years, Emmanuel’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), struggled to put on in-person events and fundraise for initiatives, due to COVID-19. This year, the team had an edge.

“We began preparing in the summer,” said SAAC president, Hassan Badran. “We had a vision and a goal.  Our team was ready to develop a plan for this year to support athletes and make an impact on campus and in our community."

The SAAC team, led by Badran, Vice President, Sofiia Briantseva, Advisor, Kristin Whitlock, and other dedicated student-athletes has done just that.

This semester, the officers attended a Conference Carolinas SAAC training event where Emmanuel received the Comeback Award, a recognition the group is proud of.

“The Comeback Award looked at the funds you raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation from the 2020-21 year and compared it to the 2021-22 funds,” said Kristin Whitlock. “We were the school that made the biggest impact. The award was nice, but it also showed our students what their hard work can do. The events are fun, but we get to make an impact on people's lives in the process.”

A few other initiatives the group has spearheaded on campus include a canned food drive and Operation Christmas Child.

“The Canned Food Drive began as a Conference Carolinas initiative,” Sofiia said. “I think what made it so successful was that we created a healthy competition between teams.”

The top three teams in the Canned Food Drive were: 1. Tennis – who brought in hundreds of boxes of cereal and peanut butter, among other items. 2. Baseball – they brought in 1,800 cans of vegetables 3. Swimming – they also brought in hundreds of canned vegetable items.

The items were donated to the Rainbow Pantry in Royston.

Royston Police Chief, Donnie Bolemon, who runs the pantry mentioned that most of the donation will be going to help flood and hurricane relief efforts, but a portion of it will be used in our local community.

“While we were there, Chief Bolemon mentioned that he had just gotten a call and he was having to go to a house where children had been abused, and he was taking some of the cereal we brought to help those children. That made a big impact on our students because yes, most of our donation is going far away, but it’s helping people in the local community as well.”

Up next for SAAC? An Operation Christmas Child Packing Party – happening TONIGHT! SAAC, along with EC Serve has taken ownership of the on-campus Operation Christmas Child initiative, an opportunity to purchase gifts, or make monetary donations to help children in need have a special holiday season.

“The packing party will essentially be a campus-wide event,” Hassan said. “We’ll have music, gingerbread competitions, ornament decorations, etc. It’s a great opportunity for students to come out and enjoy the Christmas vibes before we head out for the semester.”

For Kristin, this group has been a special one to work with.

“When I took over, SAAC had 15 constant reps who were always at meetings and engaged, we struggled to put on events,” she said. “This year, we’ve had constant 30-plus people at every single meeting, wanting to work – this group of kids is amazing, hardworking, and showing that they want to make a difference at our school and in the community.”
