my favorite type of dragon age headcanon is “varric lied”

anyways some of my personal faves are 1) varric and pro-mage hawke are hiding anders, 2) there is an original manuscript for tale of the champion and the one varric published was purposely changed up and exaggerated for hawke’s privacy, 3) varric’s nicknames started as another attempt at anonymity, and 4) the only reason merrill, the literal eluvian expert, is not skyhold’s eluvian expert is because varric is not about to put her in the same location as cassandra and cullen

my personal favorites that i’ve seen from other people are “he lied about orsino” and “all the dungeons look the same because cassandra has no imagination”
