In 1950, Wilhelmina Tuft was publicly poisoned, and her son Ignatius usurped her position as the Minister of Magic. The months that followed were filled with chaos, fear, and uncertainty. Minister Tuft implemented laws that worked against the good of the people; St. Mungo’s was home to the first Inferi sighting and attack; the village of Hogsmeade was overrun with werewolves during the fall festival; and the year ended with a horrific and brutal massacre in the Ministry Atrium on Christmas…

And then things got worse. Between the Death Eaters taking hostages from the massacre for an entire month, the Internal Affairs Bureau investigation of the entire DMLE, the mass hysteria and murder that occurred at the Quidditch Championship game, regular Inferi and werewolf sightings and attacks, the sudden death of beloved Quidditch captain Claudia Stewart… 1951 was similarly eventful. 

And there’s very little hope that 1952 will be any different.
