WHAT YOU GET:
Round Portraits: My first from-scratch mesh! Yay! A whopping 68 swatches, all in gold frame, featuring new portraits & old favorites. Spec map, shadow, all that good stuff. 676 Polys. Not all swatches shown, that gif would be massive. Includes portraits spanning the last 500 years.
Royal Carpeting: 22 swatches total, all shown; pulled from real luxury and royal carpet patterns! Perfect for your palaces and country home getaways, or if you just want to feel fancy.
Grand Hall Portraits: 50 swatches total; 25 portraits in gold and brown frames. Not all swatches are shown--the gif is showing off the new portraits. Vampires frame but it IS basegame compatible! Includes portraits spanning the last 500 years.
Heraldic Wallpaper: 9 swatches total, all shown; heraldic goldleaf on red, green, and blue fields with white, brown, and dark brown wainscot options.
Grand Hall Panels: 32 swatches total, all shown; carved oak panels inspired by Tudor British oak palace and castle walls.

I couldn't resist the urge to recreate Jean-Léon Gérôme's painting 'Naopoleon and his general staff in Egypt' (1867).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like how differently he portrays the characters. Wrapped and half-asleep generals suffering from heat and hot wind with sand. Their figures are bent and almost freely hanging from their saddles. While Bonaparte holds confidently, putting his hand on his knee and looking into the distance.

Regency Era Accessories Part 2:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've converted this turban from Sims 2 creator maya40, when downloading please read the description.
I've recolored a shawl accessory by Sherazade that they've converted from a Sims 3 creator deltasim
Awellah: Includes a Turban and Shawl. This turban will fit the late Georgian era (1780s+ when Turkish Influence was prominent in the West), and Regency Era (1795-1837). The Shawls can fit any era I suppose, but the recolors of the Awellah Shawl are in paisley prints which were in fashion during the Regency era.
Temperance: Includes a Sheer Translucent version of the Awellah Shawl
BGC and Hat Slider Compatible
Below I've included some pictures of shawls and turbans during both the Georgian and Regency Eras.

Salami - an 1830s hairstyle
Tumblr media
I asked my friends for name suggestions and Yasha said Salami. So the hair is named Salami. No, Yasha is not a small child. Next time I'll ask my 8 month old coworker. Moving on.
BGC
NOT hat compatible
Uses parts from a GTW hair, two GF hairs, this hair and this hair
Diffuse map is a little wonky, mostly in the back (see the 360 of the dirty blonde swatch)
Vertices: 8654
Polygons: 11243
Appropriately tagged and all that

There are little gaps and weird mesh things happening inside this braid contraption. I wouldn't say it's particularly noticable or annoying.

I was in need of boater hats for my boys to cover their heads in warm weather. Too tired to search the internet and in an intense fit of procrastination I decided to create my first custom content! “Keep reading” to Download:
Tumblr media
The hat is not perfect (e.g. doesn’t fit many female hair meshes), but it includes classic colours that are true to its worn era (1880s-1920s). Men didn’t wear light coloured boaters which were rather worn by women and children. Of course mix and match however you like.

Once upon a time, I decided to make Hogwarts.
Badly.
It's not much like actual Hogwarts, but I had a lot of fun putting together designs for all the different classrooms, offices and quarters for the professors, common rooms and dormitories, and various other rooms. I set it as a library lot. Unfortunately, it was perhaps a bit over full, and didn't play very well. I did have a lot of fun building it though!
Part of building it meant looking for decorations and I stumbled across @murfeelee's Willam Morris Wall Hangings, which she created for Sims 3. I converted them for Sims 4 and they made a great addition to multiple rooms. The image above shows one decorating one of the dormitory stairwells off the Slytherin common room (the upper left corner shows off the potions classroom).
Although these all have a very medieval feel to them, they're actually Victorian! William Morris was a leader of the arts and crafts movement, which endeavored to move away from industrialization and mass-made clutter and to carefully selected pieces which showed individuality, craftsmanship, and taste. One of his most famous quotes, which is quite Marie Kondo in nature, is "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."
The original set, complete with images of all 15 swatches, can be found here on The Sims Resource.

Presenting... Horatio Nelson! (I did the best that I could with the CC avaliable.)
Inspired by @vermutandherring's amazing post here & the latest "biopic" based on Napoleon Bonaparte; but also I am a cheeky bitch and have just had Old Nel on the brain lately. I can guarantee you I put more effort into sculpting his facial features than Ridley Scott did in historical research, but that's neither here nor there. I spent TWO HOURS trying to find the right hair, caved, and settled on this one.
Uniform by @historicalsimslife, medals by @melonsloth, hat by @revolution-sims
Taken in-game with Reshade 5.6 and some fancy-ass shaders, then made into a portrait with Photoshop.

Advent Weekend #2: 19th c. Updo
Here is the second installment of Advent (a day late). This hair was inspired by a portrait of Caroline von Holnstein from 1834. The painting hangs in the Gallery of Beauties in Germany (thanks @simstomaggie for mentioning this to me!)

Plate III. A Cottage Adapted to Garden Scenery, or as an Entrance Lodge
Follow me on Twitch!
I finally decided to download The Sims 4 and okay... I'm addicted. I initially didn't like the game play, but I'm learning to play it and after figuring out how to slow time I am actually living.
Of course, I'm already starting to build historical houses inspired by the plates of John B. Papworth's book Rural Residences of 1818. It's important to know that this house's blueprint wasn't altered, so it is perfect for Sims that want to live their romantic #Regency fantasy or those that want a fixer-upper house to remodel it.
I'm in heaven! Sims 4 -  Cottage Living is MADE for this book. It's a dream! Download this house here:

Inna Cents - townie makeover
Inna Cent appears in trailers and promos for  The Sims 4: Vampires and could be load from Maxis gallery. I was pretty upset she was not an official townie of  Forgotten Hollow, cause there is smth interesting in her backstory and relationship with a sassy vampire Caleb. Anyway I can imagine my own LORe for her.
Occult sims are most fun to makeover because you can play with fashion and choose for them the most unusual and non-realistic fits. For Inna I choose some looks inspired by Biedermeier\Victorian period, because she probably was turn in to vampire at second half of 19th century. And her prototype surely was Lucy Westenra (from 'Dracula' 1992). But I add to her kinn list two fictional ladies who's also like yellow and historical dresses - Edith Cushing (Crimson Peak) and Belle (Beauty and the Beast) which suits more to her shinny and gentle personality and fashion choices. Roses and butterflies as symbols of her innocent soul
I'm trying not to change face features and keep the original EA genetics. But I changed Inna's skin and make her more pale. Because for me she is not alive anymore and can't be that peachy pink, because her blood system doesn't work. And I hope this doesn't look like 'white washing'
