after i finish my current thing i'm not allowed to attempt designing cross stitch patterns anymore. im only allowed pre-designed patterns. the one i'm working on was supposed to be a small joke thing and now it is. 17x12 inches

This painting came about from seeing a young woman standing on the bluff overlooking Salmon Creek. She was painting plein air style and totally concentrating on her subject. This was a few years ago and I think I was on my bike and took a quick snapshot. It was much later in the studio that I did a drawing of her and her easel then made a painting from it.

Locks of hair from Goebbels children

Bronze case that belonged to one of Goebbels children's nannies. According to the auction house, this case was a personal gift from Joseph Goebbels to one of their children's nannies. On the top of the case, there is a button bearing a sun wheel swastika. Size of the case: 18x14 cm.

Inside the case there are six locks of hair from Joseph Goebbels children. Sadly, no more information is given.

source: Ratisbons Auction House. Sadly, there isn't any official document that proves that these six locks of hair truly belonged to the Goebbels children, only the consignor's word.

Introducing my newest work. It’s a slight step in a new direction for me because of materials used in its creation.

“parallels” 18x14”, acrylic, oil pastel, and repurposed plastic grocery bag on a cradled wood panel I found in the trash.

I’m very happy with the composition which brings to mind folk art and art from ancient cultures. The colors are also a step away from my usual choices, which honestly, was unintentional.
