Hey whatsup, anyone remember DailyBooth? DailyBooth was one of my favorite websites, it ran from 2009-2012 . It is platform whit a cute microblog type layout . The user would take a selfie photograph (everyday) via webcam ( or in some cases a DSLR or point-and-shoot ) and include a description or blurb of 140characters. It was intended to showcase only a square photo selfie of the user. Basically like a virtual photobooth archive / diary....

I thought the site was very cool. There was a nice sized community on there and the users were very cool hipster-art-types

Lots of white tee shirts blue jeans tattoos and oversized framed glasses and choppy mullet haircuts.

mitchell davis was the most notable user on the site in my opinion and I would log on daily to follow his daily booth.

The site was taken down from the internet December 31 2012. Just as the same time that my own DailyBooth profile was starting to gain popularity and some nice quality images that I was shooting myself on a Sony DSC-H9 camera.

Anyways. DailyBooth is gone now however Ive decided to continue the project myself shooting and posting a selfie everyday for the rest of my life (hopefully) this is a project that exists outside of the dailybooth application and you can find videos of Daily-selfie timelapses on YouTube. This idea got my interest years ago and it's a project that I always wanted to invest in however I always procrastinate and never put in time or effort to do it

I just can’t process it sometimes. I hear people being so nonchalant about how I’M freaking out along with the rest of the liberals and progressives, and I sit here, wondering what is in THEIR minds that keeps them so calm.

Sure, I’m a white cis male, I don’t have anything to worry about. I’m not a woman, so my bodily autonomy (or lack thereof) is not at risk. I’m not a Muslim, so I don’t need to worry about not being able to come home. I’m not black, so I don’t need to worry about getting shot by a slightly annoyed police officer.

BUT PEOPLE EXIST THAT ARE WOMEN, THAT ARE MUSLIM, THAT ARE BLACK, AND THE THINGS THAT HAPPEN TO THEM ARE PROBLEMS.

To address everything... yes, there are women in other countries who are suffering far worse than women in America. That much we understand. But we’re in America. You know, “land of the free, home of the brave.” So why should the women who live in America be forced to sit by and let the government tell them how their body should operate? Why should they let Mike fucking Pence claim rape victims are INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO BE RAPED? WHAT WOMAN HAS SOME INSATIABLE LUST FOR THE PROSPECT OF BEING RAPED?

I don’t even need to explain why Muslims should be upset. Donald Trump just fucking signed an executive order that has kicked multiple countries into a no-fly. And none of these countries have committed to any terrorist activities within the borders. Zero.

And the amount of stories I could link to that directly involve African-Americans who have been harassed, mained, or murdered simply because they were black would not be enough to clarify why so many African-Americans are so terrified of even simply leaving their house.

It’s people like Richard Spencer who get punched, not because he’s a martyr who is rising up from the shadows where the alt-right neo-nazis have been secretly waiting to strike back, but because he’s an awful person, and everything he and those type of people stand for need to be struck down, because their ideology continues to perpetuate that only white, heterosexual men deserve to exist. No, punching someone for what they stand for isn’t cool. But when you know that a person like Richard Spencer is so hardcore conservative that his views would never budge even with the most intellectual and fair discussion, you can’t do much more than use the resources you have.

A picture paints a thousand words, is the quote. By that logic, a picture of Richard Spencer being punched in the face says more words about how bad neo-nazis are than what anyone else can say. Even if Donald Trump, as the 45th POTUS, called a conference EXCLUSIVELY to talk about how awful neo-nazis are, it still would not compare to Richard Spencer’s face being punched in.

Plus, that conference would only last like, a minute. #140characters.
