《Focus》是 Jon1st 和 Shield 的第二張 EP，由於之前受到疫情的影響，他們被迫從他們在 Leicester 和Copenhagen 的HOme Studio 網上遙距製作這張 EP。這 EP 緊隨著的，這是他們廣受好評的現場合作演出和經常在 2019 年和 2020 年初穿梭北美巡演以及他們的在線現場表演混音帶《Remote Research Vol.1》。

在《Focus》中，這對二人組繼續把他們的製作、對自己有所影響的東西以及與他們在表演方面的共同背景相結合，他們分別是 World champion turntablist 和 Percussionist respectively 來創造一張真正代表了他們在現場演出中探索如何 “隨心所欲” 地去製作的 EP。他們創造了一張生動而豐富多彩的 EP，將各種節奏融合在一起，形成了一個精心製作的聲景和節奏的選擇。

該 EP 的主打歌曲以 140bpm 節奏為主，加上 “Swang” 中的 Dub 風格的搖擺節奏形成，EP 的第一首單曲 “Distortion” 中瘋狂的 Half step jungle groove，該曲還邀請了 Manchester 老牌MC Strategy 擔任客座演唱，展示了這對二人組對舞池的關注。當中 “Kombucha” 和 “Co-Op Mode” 中輕鬆的旋律、Hip-Hop 氛圍和夢幻，而第二支單曲 “Strangers” 則探索了更具電影美學感的豐富旋律，並通過有力的鼓聲帶來生命力。

這對二人組並沒有採用以現場表演的方法去創作，而是將表演融入了整個 EP 的創作過程。 他們融合了 Shield 的現場樂器和聲音設計，突出了 Jon1st 的唱盤技巧和一系列錄音室技術，他們二人將每首曲目視為對冥想的主題，通過使用 “重新對每個想法” 而進行演變，使用不同方法對現場樂器的錄音進行及採樣 (sampling) 和唱盤，產生了一系列既適合耳機又適合舞池的音樂。
