i've been rewatching so much rtd era doctor who and...... wow. many thoughts. many feelings. hm. hm

#libra.txt #currently thinking abt 9 and the slitheen episodes #where it turns out whoops it wasn't 12 hours and it was 12 months sorry rose! #and like. it flew over my head when i first watched it but now. #oh mickey. ohhh mickey #mickey deserved SO much better than rose EVER gave him #like we see him and jackie and they are pals! #but when rose went 'missing' everyone turned on mickey #like that casual 'oh no one will suspect you're here you HATE me' from mickey to jackie #and augh. oh #said he was investigated for murder #called in for questioning 5 times #and like. yeah. yeah that's really how it is huh #but no one talks about it. #i mean. once you start thinking about it. so many of the characters of color in this show are mistreated #(i haven't seen any of the recent who- past eleven? idk it) #but. mickey and martha deserved SO much better. #both as characters in-universe but also just like. better writing #10 and martha are so compatible!! they're good for each other! #but the romance was unnecessary. they can just be friends #(which is what i like abt 10 & donna) (but anyway) #ANYWAY. thinking too much. #i'm glad i've grown and matured. being able to see flaws and nuance and understand depth. very important
