Getting pulled into Ace Attorney so new au.

-

Kazuki was a lawyer and killed by Giovanni, leaving Hibiki and Ken as suspects.

Red is an ex lawyer, and Blue is an ex prosecutor. Still trying to figure out everything else along with Leaf's role and a future role for Blue.

Hibiki is a lawyer who trained with his father, wanting to be like him, and gets mentored by Red after Kazuki died. Ken is just trying to be a baker or electrician but gets accused of murder.

Silver and Galena were forced to be prosecutors by Giovanni and went with it to be better than him. Silver takes the role of defense when Hibiki is unable to, and with his sister, they land Giovanni in jail. Galena also raised Silver, so he's nicer but still very sassy.

Lyra and Krystal are spirit mediums and have the unfortunate fate of Dolos being their brother in this au. Dolos gets his ass landed in prison, too. Yes, this means Ken ate glass here.

The plot is different but still very alike to that in Ace Attorney. The differences come from the character's personalities and roles not quite matching those in the games to a T.

Silver and Hibiki are childhood friends, too. They met during one of the times Silver and Galena sneaked out of the house. Can't have gay lawyer au without gay lawyers.

Appearance:

Personality: Hibiki is pretty childish sometimes yet also very mature for his age. He's very kind and loves helping people and pokemon. However, that kindness is a double-edged sword, as he tends to neglect himself in favor of helping others.

Backstory: Hibiki Kaneko had been born to Miyuki and Kazuki Kaneko, and grew up in New Bark Town with them and his older brother Kenneth, although they'd visit Kanto often to see their cousin, Red. He was a shy girl, not talking much and barely interacting with many other children. He would play with his brother and cousin, and despite being quiet normally, was very talkative around them. He was a reckless child with almost never-ending energy, and surprisingly upbeat.

All of that would change when he was 8 years old. Red had gone missing, and his parents and aunt were very worried. He didn't think too much of it, wondering when he'd come back.

A week later, it was Father's Day, and he was on a walk with his dad when a large tree almost fell on them. Kazuki quickly took notice, and pushed him out of the way, sacrificing himself and getting crushed by the tree to keep his daughter safe. It took thirty minutes for help to arrive, and Kazuki died in the hospital due to blood loss. This accident traumatized Hibiki. He refused to come out of his room for a week and lost the energy he once had, survivor's guilt troubling him though the day and nightmares at night.

It was when he was 11 that things started to get better for him. After Ken dragged him outside to get him to help Elm with an errand, Hibiki realized he could get stronger and decided to take on the gym challenge, with a goal of being able to protect others so they wouldn't have to suffer like he did, and find his missing cousin. And so, he trained hard, building a team so he could protect the weak and fight off Team Rocket, eventually becoming the Indigo League Champion, and even finding Red and learning about why he had disappeared. He'd also start to fix the rivalry between Kanto and Johto, delivering a speech on July 8th when he was 15 years old.

As of now, Hibiki spends most of his time helping out citizens of KanJoh and fighting off crooks. He struggles with self care, putting others before himself most of the time.

He's got a long way to go, but with time, the scars of his past will slowly heal.

I do have a question regarding your gloved ingo drawing. I want to do an emmet ver (not an edit but it’s own drawing. I wouldn’t dare edit someone else’s drawing) but I wanna make sure the you aren’t doing it/planning on do it/un comfortable with it.

oh totally, go for it!!! I would love to see someone's take on Emmet for it :D I was planning to do an Emmet version eventually but I have no clue if it'll be anytime soon lol so I wouldn't want that to stop you from doing so! Let me know if you do end up doing it because I'd love to see!
