mmm, i think childe would love that i care about my family so much, specifically my nephews and nieces <: i know he values family to a high degree and seeing that i also do the same with my younger niblings would mean the world to him, since that means i would get along swimmingly with his younger siblings as well.

i also love cooking and baking! and i especially love packing lunches and feeding those that i love. so i think he would love it if i pack lunches for him with cute little decorations and notes to read while he leaves for work. or maybe he'd love the way i would feed him little bits of my food for him to try and he loves the small act so much since he's used to being doted on by his older siblings.

he would love the banter we would have together; since he would try to provoke a fight or insane reaction from me and i've got nothing but dry humor and a deadpan expression. he'd love the challenge of trying to rile me up or get a reaction out of me.

he isn’t often this quiet.

childe’s never been awkward around your family before, inherently understanding the hectic chaos that comes with so many people around. he treats them like they’re his own blood and doesn’t shy away. in turn they happily take advantage of him, demanding “uncle taru” take them on shoulder rides or throw them around, and they can’t stand to take turns sharing him.

you notice how he hovers at the kitchen entryway, a muted and pensive expression on his face. he’s vanished before you can call him over. of course it worries you, but you’ve got ice cream cake in your hands that’s fast melting, so you make a mental note to check on him as soon as you’re done.

you find him in your bedroom, away from the crowd. something definitely seems off. it’s your older sister’s birthday and they get along fine, so it doesn’t make sense that they’d be on bad terms or that he suddenly can’t stand to be around anybody…

“brought you something,” you say softly, closing the door behind you. it’s a bowl of brownie scraps that you’ve shaped up into a lumpy heart. “you okay?”

he wraps his arms around you tight from his seat on your bed, forcing you to blindly set the bowl down on your desk before it topples into your sheets. he sighs into the crook of your neck, blowing some shorter baby hairs aside.

“i was just thinking about how badly i want to marry you and start a family of our own.”

it’s a shell shocking statement and he seems to know it, keeping his face buried into your chest so you are allowed to react freely without judgement. after a moment he pulls back, his blue eyes searching yours almost worriedly.

“dummy,” you scoff, your defensive mechanisms jumping up into place after being assaulted with his overwhelmingly cute and rare show of vulnerability. you can’t help but smile, though, all bluster. “you already know i’m yours.”

he promptly rolls you into the bed (you have no choice as he is ten times stronger than you), but you’re laughing as he locks you into his embrace.

“we’ve got to get back to the party! they’re going to cut the cake soon!”

“5 minutes,” he pleads, cuddling up to you. “i just want to keep you to myself for a little bit longer.”

and who are you to resist?

Shumai goodness am so tired i have no words :\\ Okay so the past days, I've been procrastinating like crazyyy!! I spent my days sitting in front of my desk and mot getting anything done!! But since all of my work are now piled up, there's a bit more pressure, so now I guess I'm finally working on my reqs❔ I'm actually quite relived since I finally got to tick off something from my to do list for the first time in ages!! I'm currently just taking a break before I move on to doing my next requirement (heaviest req of them all, well as of now. There will be heavier ones soon 🙄)
