[A collection of photos are posted of the water beneath the surface of the Sargasso Sea.
In stark contrast to the dense fog above the waves, the waters below are crisp and clear. Shafts of light that manage to penetrate the mist and seaweed mats illuminate corpse-like hulls of ships and subs and aircraft meters below, wreathed in alien corals and growths - strange and otherworldly compared to even other marine environments. Shimmering points of light glow - like stars, like eyes - from depths where, even here, the daylight above fails to penetrate, and it's all too easy to conjure the outlines of great and terrible creatures in the distant dark.
Further photos are attached of a few of the wrecks, gutted and skeletal, and blistered with oily black pustules.
Some of the strange growths appear to have ruptured, blooming like diseased flowers from tattered remains of uniforms and crumbling, barnacle-crusted bone.]
Sargasso Sea, under the Sargassum and lost ships
Some old draug brood pods and Deep One egg cases, more detail below cut
[Below the cut are a handful of photos of the contents of a couple of the egg cases that failed to develop maturity, Crowley having cut them open to display the long-dead, half-formed creatures inside: The draug a clumsy attempt at building a human from repurposed marine parts, the Deep One an embryonic fish-like creature with clear - if underdeveloped at the time of its death - limbs, like a tadpole caught in transition to being a frog.]

I'd like to introduce to everyone this horrid thing I created about a year ago but haven't shown many people yet (probably for the best).
This is Baby. AKA The Monster. AKA Sight Tremendous and Abhorred, AKA Vile Insect, AKA A Thing Such As Even Dante Could Not Have Conceived, etc, etc. It's made from bits of scrap fabric I scrounged from various sources and is roughly the size of a human toddler. Its design is based on Mary Shelly's original descriptions of Frankenstein's creature.
But that's not all! Behold!
You can dissect this little abomination to reveal a full set of crocheted, knitted, and scrap fabric organs, all hand-stitched by yours truly!
It has a heart, stomach, lungs, liver, small and large intestine, kidneys, bladder, and, of course, a brain! So it can ponder the horrors of its own existence!
I used this pattern by Less Than Three for the heart. I ended up felting it because I screwed up most of the stitches (I was relatively new to crochet at the time). The result was a bit of a blobby mess, but oh well.
So yeah. This thing lives in my house now (my family hates it). I have yet to reap the full consequences of my hubris.

A new world is possible, my friends. Le Guin famously said: “The profit motive is often in conflict with the aims of art. We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable; so did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings.”

[A blurry and poorly framed photo is posted of several people in white uniforms throwing humanoid corpses into a large bonfire - some like human-sized bipedal fish, some like humans infested with marine life, some further mutated than others.
It’s almost easy to miss that the background is mostly taken up by a single, massive putrefying corpse that a few people with flamethrowers are doing their damndest to clean up the fluids from.]

i swear to god i regret reblogging that estrolabs post because absolutely no one is focusing on the actual issue, which is that it's a phishing site very clearly run by malicious people and giving them any information on yourself could fuck you over big time
their ashwaganda "estrogen replacement" would be useless at best and extremely dangerous at worst, if it actually existed. however the products on that site almost certainly do not fucking exist and never have, and they have zero intention of actually producing them. the listings for the "supplements" aren't on the site anymore.
when scams like this pop up suddenly, they're not legitimate to even the slightest degree. there was never a real product, they were trying to get your money or your card and contact information either to doxx you, harass you, or literally steal from you. it's a PHISHING scheme, not a "making a shitty product to Literally Kill People" scheme. one of these things is far cheaper and far easier for a layperson to do.
while the information on the function of ashwaganda was definitely useful generally, it was/is not the most present danger of this estrolabs/queerquirk situation and people need to be aware of the actual threat these kinds of sites and situations pose.
as i was writing this estrolabs has been taken down, but queerquirk is still up and still advertising it's fake products and has a contact us page. do not give them your contact information, even to send hate. it is not worth getting phished to epicly own the dumbass behind this scheme. report the site and move on.
