Something that was challenging to create

Probably the first batch from everything-else-but-Inktober 2020. I decided to drop the idea of messing with inks and straight up exercised on things I usually fail at / wanted to improve. The whole challenge was, well, a challenge. I remember struggling from day 1 to 30 because I'm terrible at studies, I tend to filter and filter and filter and... But I like the results!! Also this comm I did for @n7viper that made me say "oh, you can handle this" This was quite the experience ;; thanks again for letting me work on this dude <3 I started with a greyscale then added colors, which is a technique I used some times and like, I was sure it was challenging because it's super hard to balance everything out, but when things came out exactly how I wanted them to be?? Woah, alright Picasso, slay

Top 5 (or 10 as you want) house md scenes

1. I wasn't a big fan of the way House and Cuddy got together at first because of that one line: "I love you. I wish I didn't, but I can't help it." it bugged me on SO MANY LEVELS. I don't usually like that trope in fiction, but with time I realised how well it highlights the thesis of the show. It all leads back to "you can't always get what you want" and "you might find you get what you need" and I think the fact that House and Cuddy are the ones to introduce this concept is crucial. House knows that's the next lyrics, but he obviously doesn't consider it too valuable because otherwise he would have mentioned it during his interaction with Cuddy. And it's Cuddy who points out the second part of the whole thing, she's the one who tells him that maybe, you'll eventually discover that what you (seemingly) want isn't what you need and even more importantly, that you can get what you need the most. That's why I love that line. (even tho House probably understood it like I initially did and that thought haunted him throughout the entirety of the relationship) It's less about who House is, she's not saying it because it's him that she loves. She's saying that because of the way that she loves him, which freaks out both of them because they're such control freaks djsidieokdkd. It's another central theme of the show: you have to accept that you're gonna need people and you're gonna have to accept that shutting the world out isn't your best option. It IS what both of them want (Cuddy is in denial about it, but she's also rejecting people and excusing that by them not satisfying her standards... it's that thing Wilson accuses House of doing, finding the tiniest flaw in someone and using it as an excuse for being alone), but it's not what either of them needs. So when she tells him that she's can't help it, she's putting her armour down and inviting him to do the same with his. I always thought that her "pain happens when you care" speech was equally aimed at her own self. She accused him of doing something that she was doing by breaking up with him. (Arlene might be a bitch, but she saw the similarities between these two which is why I loved her Emma Woodhouse-ing in that episode)

2. "Does he care about you?" "Yes, he cares about me."

SHUT UPPPPPPPP!!!!!! IT'S ACTIONS VS WORDS, IT'S WHY EVERYBODY DIES HOLDS THAT MUCH MEANING!!!!!! Because Wilson never questioned House loving him. He knew he cared. It was easy to deduce if you knew House. And Wilson knew House. BUT HE NEEDED TO BE TOLD THAT!!!!!! "I need you to tell me that you love me." (I'm shaking you guys) And House being House naturally turned away from it at first. But he did tell him in the end. He told him with his actions. And that's how you do it! You don't change the character, you just readjust their understanding of the world, expand their ways of thinking. Because House chooses actions over words, he sticks to his philosophy (actually... he applies it to himself for the first time, he accepts that he's a person... it's that fascinating contradictory way of House's character, he calls himself a rebel, but he never goes against his own rules, he takes risks but only in his comfort zone), but he also gives Wilson what he needed. Again with the Jagger line!
