Keep seeing posts that are like “Of course it’s fine and effective to hurt NT kids as an easy way to make them torture themselves into a convenient shape for you but ND kids are different: they experience feelings and difficulties so you have to actually help them!” Thankfully by the time they reach my dash someone has usually pointed out that it’s not great to do this to NT kids either but like. I would like this type of post to be less common.

Sunday mornings are your favourite. There’s no stupidly early training sessions or mission briefings, there’s no planning or plotting how to take down the latest supervillain.

There’s just you and Loki.

He’s still sound asleep next to you, broad chest rising and falling with each deep breath he takes. You can hear his heartbeat in your ear from where you’re tucked in next to him - strong and solid and a constant reassurance that he’s here and he’s alive.

And he’s yours.

You curl in closer to his side, wrapping an arm protectively across his stomach and nuzzling a kiss to his cheek. He twitches momentarily at your touch and you feel his arm squeeze just slightly around your waist.

“Go back to sleep,” he mumbles groggily, not even opening his eyes, but you can hear the slight smile in his words.

You shift in his arms with a puff of laughter, trying to wrap yourself even closer around him. Loki’s hand tucks you under his chin and you feel his drowsy kiss to the crown of your head.

“I love you,” you say quietly, tangling your legs with his beneath the sheets.

Loki hums against your forehead and tired fingers trace over your forearm, coaxing you back to sleep. “I love you.”

You’re safe against his chest. Safe and protected and drowned in so much love it sometimes makes you dizzy.

He was your whole heart and more.

He was enough.

(Sorry this is not great but I wanted some soft even though it’s almost 10pm with me 😅)

#ah #that's adorable #I can totally imagine him doing that #answered #anonymous #Vasco #to me he usually conjures the feeling of being warmed by sunlight #winters in northern Finland where I'm from tend to be pretty rough at least for me they are #they last about six months or so #sun starts to set earlier and earlier until it gets dark before 2 pm #in december the sun barely rises at all it's like this brief moment of twilight at noon between two 22+ hour nights #it gets harder to wake up in the morning and your energy levels plummet you go into battery saving mode #polar night messes up your brain seasonal depression gets really bad #and the cold and dark goes on and on and you feel like you'll never feel warm or happy or properly awake again #but eventually it starts to veer towards spring and on one day you notice that the sun is shining??!?! #not like bleakly and weakly but proper sunlight with warm hue and capability to actually warm the things it touches #you've forgotten what it looks like when it's truly light outside #and it's the craziest feeling to see bright natural light it blinds you and pierces right through into your very core #being kissed by the sun for the first time in months feels unreal it feels SO GOOD #I don't know it's probably not that big of a deal for people around me #but I personally react to things like changes in temperature and the amount of daylight pretty massively #I like to think that Vasco is a first ray of sunlight hitting you after you've spent what feels like an eternity in someplace cold and dark
