Pairing: Daemon Targaryen x Targaryen!reader

Summary: Daemon has asked you to marry him, but you have to wait to talk with King Viserys until Rhaeneyra and Laenor's wedding takes place. As you and Daemon try to hide the affection you feel for one another, everything gets more complicated with you being betrothed to Jason Lannister.

A/N: I am so sorry for taking too long to update -there was another request I had to work on first, and uni started again so I am pretty much either occupied with the lectures or out with my friends... But, since I kept you waiting for an eternity (and since we don't have much Daemon in this one), I wrote two parts and I'll be posting the other one shortly after (: Enjoy!

You clenched your fists under the table, the sight in front of you was causing your stomach to tie up in knots.

Apparently, the frown on your face did not go unnoticed as Jason Lannister, who was sitting to your left, asked you. “Princess Y/N, is everything alright?”

Shaking yourself, you wore a pleasant expression as you nodded at him, a fake smile inhabiting your lips. “Of course, I was just distracted for a moment.” You told him but your purple eyes were still on Daemon. The moment his eyes met yours, you turned your head towards your betrothed. “Would you care to dance, my Lord?” You asked him with a rather flirtatious tone, hoping for Daemon to see the look in your eyes as well.

Jason Lannister’s blue eyes shone with happiness the moment he heard you. He stood up and offered you his hand with a charming smile -he had asked you to dance, a couple of times in fact, but you had always rejected him; hence, he was overmuch excited and wanted to enjoy the moment.

As you held his hand, you followed him into the crowd of dancing people, though your eyes were on Daemon, who had Laena Velaryon inside his arms at the present. You sent him a challenging look when your eyes met. Well, two can play this game, darling.

Ever since the beginning of the feast, Daemon had been restlessly flirting with Laena Velaryon, which had left you feeling jealous as you watched the two laugh and dance together. You could not understand why he was doing such a thing and you hated to see how much of a control he actually had over you; however, you didn’t intend to just sit there and wait for Daemon to have his fun.

No, nobody messed with the dragon, and you intended to bite back.

During the entire time you danced with Jason Lannister, you could feel Daemon’s eyes on you, but you gave it your best and didn’t take a single look at him as you giggled and laughed at Jason’s words even though they were far from being funny. Even after Daemon went back to his place on the table, without Laena Velaryon by his side, you continued to flirt and dance with Jason Lannister.

“Thank you so much, Princess, for the dance and for your pleasant company.” Jason Lannister told you before bringing your hand to his lips. You couldn’t really tell whether it was because of all the wine you had been drinking or the way Jason had been complimenting you while you were dancing, but your cheeks carried a lighter shade of pink.

However, before you two could head back to your place around the table, you felt someone other than Jason holding your hand. You didn’t need to notice his smell for the jealousy falling into Jason’s blue eyes was enough to tell you who was standing next to you.

“Would the Princess be so kind to let me have this dance?” Daemon asked you, completely ignoring the presence of Jason Lannister.

But it seemed like Jason had no intention of being ignored.

He placed his hand gently on your shoulder. “I’ll be waiting for you at our place, betrothed.” Letting his hand slide down your arm, he sent a warning look at Daemon and went back to the table.

You could easily feel how tense Daemon was becoming, you squeezed his hand gently. “Gīda ilagon.” You told him in High Valyrian, aiming to soften him; however, instead, he literally dragged you into the crowd of dancing people so that you two were not easily visible to the others sitting around the table. [Calm down.]

“What are you doing?” Daemon literally hissed between his teeth as he held you firmly from your waist. You had a confused expression on your face. “Nyke ivestretan ao nyke would hīlagon zȳhon bartos lo ziry renigon ao.” [I told you I would crush his head if he touched you.]

You raised a challenging eyebrow at him. “Poghash se vala qilōni ȳdragotan rūsīr Laena Velaryon giez bantis.” You spoke with a bitter tone as you tried to step back, free yourself from his hold but he didn’t let you. Instead, he pulled you against his chest. The way he leant into you caused you to gasp for he was standing too close to you so that your lips could easily touch his if you talked. [Says the man who flirted with Laena Velaryon whole night long.]

“It is not the same, Y/N,” Daemon breathed against your lips, you could feel several people looking at you two. “You are betrothed to him.”

Using all the strength you had, you pushed Daemon away and stepped back. “In that case, you should have known better than to try and make me jealous, my Prince.” You told him with a smirk on your lips. “You are not the only one who can play dirty.”

Of course, Daemon would not give up so easily.

He held you from your left wrist and pulled you against him once more so that he could whisper in your ear. Your silver dress was sleeveless; hence you could easily feel your skin burn under Daemon’s touch. “Nyke kessa henujagon ñuha zālarys va tolvie ezīmos hen aōha mēny skore ēza issare vaogenka ondoso zȳhon ondos, dārilaros.” [I shall leave my mark on every inch of your body which has been tainted by his hands, Princess.]

With slow movements, you freed your wrist as you whispered back. “Jikagon va hae bisa, se ao kostagon mērī ēdrurys hen kunathings, ñuha dārilaros.” [Go on like this, and you can only dream of such things, my Prince.]

Leaving Daemon puzzled in the crowd, you made your way towards the main table, hardly feeling the need to hide the smirk on your lips.

[Time Skip]

There was a confused look on your face as you followed Jason Lannister to the corridor outside the Great Hall. You had this disturbing feeling in your stomach that he had taken the way you’ve been, well, playing with him to drive Daemon crazy a little bit too seriously for he had been constantly trying to hold your hand while you were around the table.

“What is it that you wanted to tell me, my Lord?” You asked Jason as you wrapped your arms around your torso. The upper-chest part of your dress and its back consisted only of lace, hence you felt a little bit cold.

Upon seeing that Jason was walking towards you, you took several steps back, only to feel the damp, stone wall against your back. A frown appeared on your face as you tried to understand what was going on inside Jason Lannister’s mind.

However, you were not expecting him to hold you from your hips.

“I don’t want to wait till the wedding,” he whispered against your lips, his breath smelled like wine and ale -you had no idea how he had found ale for only wine was being served -and you found the mixture totally disgusting.

You tried to push him away but he was well-built. The moment his lips captured yours, however, you lost your patience and slapped him hard in the face, causing him to take a few steps back.

“What the hell do you think you are doing?!” You literally shouted at him; you could feel the fire of the fury growing fast within you. At that moment, all you wished for was to be able to shoot fire, just like your dragon Virion, so that you could burn the fuckhead trying you touch you against your will.

“Oh, so this becomes a problem only with me?” Jason Lannister asked with an angry tone, too, as he pointed himself. It was clear that he was drunk as hell, but it still did not justify his actions and did not lessen the desire you felt to rub his freaking head against the wall until you created sparks with it. “But I am so fucking sure, Princess, that you’d gladly let me fuck you if I were your dear uncle, wouldn’t you?”

You pointed him with your index finger in a threatening way. “Watch your words, Ser Jason,” you spoke with a cold and warning tone, trying hard to keep your temper under control. “I will not warn you again.”

As you tried to walk away, Jason held you from your waist and pushed you against the wall. Pinning your arms behind you to hinder you from hitting him once again, he pressed his body against yours.

“Get your filthy hands off me!” You literally screamed at him, trying to free yourself but his grip on you was just too strong. As a last resort, you spit on his face which, of course, ended up getting him even more violent.

“That dirty mouth of yours should be kept under control, Princess.” Jason told you with a disgusting smirk on his lips and covered your mouth with one of his hands. You were still screaming and cursing him but the voices simply came out muffled as he got rid of the scarf around your neck, only to reveal the marks Daemon had left the previous night.

Even though the corridor was dimly lit, it was enough for Jason to notice the purple marks on your pale skin. Once again, you saw the venom of jealousy flow into his blue eyes as a deep frown appeared on his face.

“These are new,” he muttered, his hand still covering your mouth. “You’ve been laying with other men even though we are to be married soon?” Slowly, he lowered his hand and you gasped for air. “Who was he?”

You spit on his face once again. “Fuck you.” You hissed between your gritted teeth. “Who do you think you are? To assault me like this? I’ll have your fucking head on a spike!”

He held you firmly from your chin, bringing his face closer to yours. His grip was so strong that the way it hurt you brought you on the verge of tears. You pressed your lips against each other. “It was him, wasn’t it?” Jason whispered with a tone full of disgust and jealousy. “You let Daemon fuck you while I was planning our marriage!”

Before you could snap at him once more, he moved his head to the crook of your neck and pressed his lips against the sensitive skin. You tried to free your hands and push him away; however, you weren’t expecting him to bite on your neck. You let out a scream as you began to curse him, again.

Then, you felt the weight on your body disappear as someone pushed Jason Lannister away from you with such strength that caused him to fall onto his back.

“Are you alright, Princess?” Harwin Strong asked you as he offered you his arm. You didn’t even realise that you were violently shaking as you nodded and took his arm. However, when he saw Jason Lannister trying to run away, Harwin quickly let go of your hand and held the fuckface from his collar, raising him into the air. “Do you realise that you have already given me enough reason to behead you right at this very moment, Lord Lannister?” Harwin asked with a threatening tone. Jason Lannister seemed as if he could wet his pants. “If I were you, I wouldn’t try pushing my luck.”

Then, he just let go of the blonde-haired man. Jason Lannister fell onto the floor with a loud thud, followed by a cry of pain.

As you watched him squirm on the ground, you were trying hard to fight the urge to kick his face until it was nothing but a bloody mess of flesh, but the way Harwin held you from your upper arm reminded you to get a hold of yourself.

You took a deep breath. I have better ways of torturing him, you thought and with slow movements, you kneeled next to his lying figure. “I will make sure to convince the King to give you the punishment you deserve, Jason Lannister, you have my word.” You whispered, your voice was as cold as ice and lacked the tiniest bit of emotion.

After leaving Jason Lannister to the hands of Harwin Strong, you walked back to the Great Hall. Every step you took, however, reminded you of the way Jason’s hands wandered around your body, the way his lips tainted your skin and you simply wanted to scream on top of your lungs.

You felt dirty.

You didn’t know how you could get rid of the ghost of his hands and lips haunting your mind and your body.

The moment you stepped a foot in the Great Hall, your eyes found that of Daemon’s -he looked worried. Before you could walk to him, however, your mother grabbed you from your arm as she literally dragged you outside.

“Do you have any idea how terrible you look?” She hissed at you, her hands were trying to tidy your dress and your silver hair. “Where have you been? Where is Jason Lannister?”

“Mom,” you spoke with a tired tone as you pushed your mother’s hands away. “He touched me. Against my will.” You saw her eyes widen with shock, but she didn’t give any reaction other than that. “Aren’t you going to say anything?” You asked, your voice full of disappointment.

“To be honest,” Delaena Targaryen began to speak, though she couldn’t keep eye contact with you this once. “You have been the one making a pass at him whole night, Y/N.”

You couldn’t believe your ears. “You must be joking, right?” You muttered, your whole body began to shake, but this time it was because of how angry you felt. “That man tried to rape me!”

Your mother arched her brows with a warning manner. “Lower your voice, Y/N.” She said and held you from your wrist. “Let’s find you something to cover your neck with, and we will discuss this in the morning.”

“No, there is not a single matter to be discussed, mother.” You spoke as you shook your hand free of her hold. You had a determined look inside your violet eyes. “I am not going to marry that cunt -this little freak show you have been so eager to arrange is over.”

“I do not recall giving you any say in this delicate matter.” It was obvious that your mother was trying to keep her calm, but her voice already carried the hints of a warning. “Now, Y/N, don’t make me repeat myself.”

You shook your head as you took a few steps back. “I don’t care what you think, I told you this marriage nonsense is over.” Slowly, your voice got lower. “And yet here you are, decided to force your one and only daughter to marry the man who has tried to rape her.” Turning back, you began to walk away. “Just leave me alone.”

actually i have more thoughts on hotd here they are. i like the parallels between the burning of the tower of the hand(?) and cersei’s same endeavor though it makes one wonder why they did not simply build the tower out of something that could not be burned. i feel like i don’t know who half of these characters are but i will learn them in time. alicent has many slay dresses and hairstyles but she seems to be struggling mostly. unsure how much of that is evil dad induced/directed. love aegon he seems to just be chilling mostly, love when there are characters in high dramas who just really like hanging out and having sex and chilling like sir ... you will be king soon. doesnt matter to him. aemond and daemon both are exhibiting mental illness and evil behaviour in line with targaryen tradition although i wish they would not be doing that. rhaenyra also doing that but in much more of a regular person under insane amounts of pressure way than a targaryen way. the wigs seem to be of random quality from scene to scene. i dont remember enough of the histories to know if this is true but i feel like the iron men should be more involved here somehow but maybe thats just because they all love talking about the sea and there are a lot of weird gaunt haunted looking men. i know that it will not happen but i wish daemon would hurry up and die so i dont have to keep looking at him and dealing with his actions and effect on the plot. he annoys me

I don't think Daenerys has gone mad, she made a choice, and it was the wrong choice. (Long post)

Disclaimer: I'm a woman and a historian so please don't start throwing 'sexism' and 'jon is only better because he has a d**k' statements at me.

Soo I dont think Dany has gone mad. I think she has PTSD and she made a choice out of anger and desperation.

Let's go back to the beginning, Viserys told Dany from day one that the Targaryens belonged on the throne and it was stolen from them. She grew up with that mentality but she never seemed all the bothered by it. She pretty much knew even if Viserys was given an army he would probably fail. Dany was happy in her life as Khaleesi, it was only after she watched her brother die and Drogo said he would take the seven kingdoms for her than she seemed to think she should be queen.

Dany got a taste for power as Khaleesi and was pissed when she couldn't have everything she wanted. She wanted to claim all the slaves as her own but that wasn't the Dothraki way, even Jorah told her that but she wasnt having it making her very unpopular with the Dothraki.

She went against all the Dothraki believed in when she had magic used on Drogo. Once she really messed him up she lost the great khalessar and any respect she may have had. She was tolerated because she was Drogos wife. Only the women, children and lame stayed behind with her.

Once she gave 'birth' to her dragons she started to be seen almost like a goddess. Everyone kneeled to her even Jorah. She started to show signs that fire was now her answer to dealing with people she doesn't like. Remember Miri Maz Durr who was supposed to save Drogo? She had her burned alive because Dany thought she owed her her life. Dany thought she was a hero and should be treated like one, but remember Miri Maz Durr's words to her:

"Saved me? Three of those riders had already raped me before you saved me, girl. I saw my god's house burn, there where I had healed men and women beyond counting. In the streets I saw piles of heads... the head of the baker who makes my bread, the head a young boy that I had cured of fever just three moons past. So... tell me again exactly what it was that you saved?"

Miri Maz was traumatized and her world ended, she told Dany that a life had to be taken for Drogo's, Dany just wanted what she wanted and unfortunately it was her son's life that was taken. Her solution? She burned Miri Maz on a funeral pyre. Miri Maz lost everything and took revenge, Dany lost a lot and did what? She massacred an entire city of Innocent people. By Danys own logic she should be burned to.

Then what? Dany went and started to free slaves, great! But she used fire to deal with her enemies again. I'm not pro slavery, but the slave traders weren't Danys enemies, she decided to turn up then burn and crucify them all. She took it upon herself to decide how those cities should be run when she had no place there at all. Then she got all the Unsullied who decided to stay with her, which makes sense because she freed them, same with the other slaves. Once again Dany was hailed as a Goddess 'Mysa!' 'Mother of Dragons' 'Breaker of chains' 'the unburned' and all that Jazz. All that praise? Goes to a persons head.

Dany would liberate these cities and then she would leave them in chaos. Dany might be good at liberating people who had no say in their lives and wouldn't embrace the first person to treat them as people, but she sucks as governing.

Dany said she was going to break the wheel rather than stop the wheel. She hadn't even seen the bloody wheel in Westeros. All she had was stories. Dany believed she belonged on the throne just because of her name.

Tyrion? Varys? They chose Dany because at the time they thought she might be the best answer and they hadn't seen her more murderous tendencies. Plus anyone has to be better than Cersei on the throne right? And no one knew about Jon.

When Dany finally got to Westeros she said she always thought it would feel like a home coming, but it wasnt. Why? Because it's not Danys home, she doesn't belong there. She immediately expected everyone in Westeros to bend the knee to her purely because she finally decided to show up and demand the throne. No one knew who she was, no one had ever seen her before.

Dany was used to being in a Khalessar or 'ruling' over a city. Dany has no experience in fuedalism. She demanded Jon bend the knew and said he was in open rebellion against her. Open rebellion against a woman who claims the crown but hasnt actually done anything to get it? Open rebellion against a woman he and the North have never even seen or knew anything about other than she has dragons?

People say Dany saved everyone's arses from the white walkers. That's just not true. Dany claims to be Queen of the Seven kingdoms? Well then the problems of those kingdoms become hers. If Dany had left Jon to deal with the white walkers then yeah he probably would have been killed along with everyone else. But then Dany would have had a white walker problem to deal with on her own. The walkers and the Night King would have destroyed the North and headed South killing everyone in their path while Dany sat at Dragon Stone waiting for people to bend the knee. There wouldn't have been anyone left to do that and the Night King would have destroyed her armies and then her. So no, Dany helped with an issue that according to her own claims became her own.

Dany is foolish to, when she meets Jon she hardly believes that white walkers are even a thing. In the same scene she then tell Jon about how no one believed Dragons would exist again but there they were. So she believes that she's great enough to bring back dragons but the very idea that White Walkers are a thing is beyond her comprehension? This woman has seen magic and visions!

Dany also told Jon it was her destiny to be Queen of the seven kingdoms. Well that's just nonsense and something she's just convinced herself to be true because she wasnt born to be queen. She had two older brothers and an elder nephew and niece, add Jon to the mix and Dany would never have been destined to be queen.

Dany and Sansa didn't get on because Sansa wasn't taken in by Dany like many others have been. Sansa isn't dazzled by titles or dragons. While Dany and Jon were busy squabbling over who should rule Sansa was busy making sure her people had enough food and leather in their armour to keep them warm. Sansa had no interest in the North giving up their autonomy to a woman they had never seen before. Jon had no right to give the North to Dany, he was elected king, that doesn't make him an absolute monarch.

Dany asked for Jon's advice and he told her not to go burning people because 'she wouldn't be different, she would be more or the same". She then Immediately goes and burns the Lannister army without giving them a chance to surrender. She let's a few live, and demands they bend the knee or they die. Thats not really a choice at all, it's dictatorship. Even Tyrion tries to talk her out of that, he knows how Westeros works and Dany doesn't. She then burned Lord Tarly and his son. She won't have the love of those people, she can't demand their love and she can't gain it the same way she did in Merreen. The people of Westeros aren't slaves, they dont want her or need her.

After they won the battle for Winterfell Dany was seen to be on the outside looking in at the feast. She helped save the day, but she doesn't know anyone in the North. The Northerners celebrate with family and friends. Jon and Sansa and the wildlings all drink together, Tyrion is drinking with Jaime and Brienne. Dany expects everyone to worship her because she had been treated like that for years so when it doesn't happen she feels put out. It's not Danys fault, it's just no one has ever put a check on her power until she arrived in the North. The Unsullied and the Dothraki aren't Danys 'friends' they worship and serve her.

Dany finds out Jon is a Targaryen and the true heir to the throne. She begs him not to tell anyone something she has no right to do. He tells his family though and of course it spreads. Sansa doesn't trust Dany and I dont blame her. Jon may not want to be king but he doesn't go around burning people to get respect. Jon already has it, he's a Northerner, he's the 'son' of an honorable Lord. He's was Lord Commander of the Nights Watch, he's been beyond the wall, he fought white walkers, he fought in the battle of the bastards. Jon was elected king in the North. Jon doesn't demand respect because he feels he's entitled to it. He even came back from the dead but he doesn't brag about it. He doesn't call himself 'Jon Snow, The King in the North, the Ressurected one". So yeah given the choice between the two I'd have chosen Jon to.

Varys realises he made the wrong choice, he serves the people and always has. He would place his bets on Jon rather than Dany given what he was seen and he dies for it.

Tyrion knows he's fucked up, Dany doesn't believe the people in Kings Landing are important at all. She's so focused on getting what she wants she doesn't stop to think about the very people she claims to be coming to save.

Dany lost a dragon saving Jon, she lost another one because she didn't have the foresight to check the bloody perimeter and her dragon was killed. She took her best friend and advisor who doesn't know how to fight to the battle and she was kidnapped and killed.

Dany then made the decision to 'kill them all' with fire even AFTER the city surrendered. She could have just flown to the Red Keep and killed Cersei who was standing on the balcony. Dany made a choice and it was the wrong one. Dany isn't mad, she's traumatized and she's realised she would NEVER have the love and respect of the people of Westeros. She has done nothing to earn it, nothing that anyone else hasnt done. She has shown the people that if you say no to her she will burn you to a crisp. She's tried so hard not to be her father but ironically that's exactly what she's become. She said she hadn't come to be the queen of fire and Ash but that's exactly what she's done.

Dany has no head for strategy or ruling. She believes she's there to free people but the fact is Westeros isn't Mereen. The people of Westeros aren't slaves , they don't need their Lords killed. Dany wants to be the savior of a country that doesn't need or want her to save them.

Dany doesn't realise that soldiers of Westeros aren't like the Dothraki or the Unsullied. They don't all fight because they believe in the cause. The soldiers live under the lesser Lords who are the bannermen to the higher Lord who then swear allegiance to the monarch. Those soldiers and Innocents she burned all died pointlessly. She burns the majority then give the fraction of survivers a choice?

Look at all the other kings in Westeros, none of them acted like Dany does save for maybe Joffrey and we all know how that ended. Joffrey at least didn't believe himself to be absolute, he was put in his place by Tywin. The other kings? Robert? He was loved , Renly was loved, Stannis was respected, Robb was loved, Tommen was tolerated but didn't really do anything, but Margery was loved.

In conclusion Dany had good intentions when she started out but she was praised so much it went to her head and she started acting like that was her due. She broke chains and freed slaves and seemed to think that's what Westeros needed. She doesn't know how to rule, she's impatient and doesnt like listening to advice. She demands respect and expects to be obeyed by people she has never met before. She acts like her father even though she claims he was an 'evil man'. Remember when she apologized to Jon on behalf of her house because of what happened to his grandfather and uncle? Who is going to apologise to the people of Kings Landing? How is Dany not an 'evil woman'? Dany did exactly the same thing that made Jaime stab her father in the back. Dany knows what she did was evil.

There is no coming back from what she has done. If there was even a chance for her to at least gain the people's respect if not love she just lost it. She will forever be on everyone's hit list now. Dany has become everything she spent years fighting against.

I think what needs to happen is Drogon needs to die. Dany will always be protected while he is there. Drogon needs to be taken out then Dany.

oo talk more about the tyrells please i always found them incredibly annoying but could never figure out why exactly (book margaery was particularly insufferable to me)

(so like this is entirely a preference thing, not a “i dont like them so neither should you” thing).

I absolutely maintain the position that Tyrell family are the Lannisters with better PR.

If we take it back to Aegon’s Conquest, they literally conspired to get the Gardner kings wiped out in the field of fire so they could ascend as a Great House (Like the Boltons and Freys did to the Starks and Tullys, but on a Much Larger Scale… and it worked). The reason why the Freys are so disliked by the other great houses is purely for arbitrary reasons, but mainly that they rarely take a side during a war until the last minute. Which like.. exactly what the Tyrells do. 

The Tyrells are absolutely the epitome of Attractive-Privilege; they have such a lovely pretty palace and the whole family is just gorgeous and everyone smells of roses and sunshine and we’re all sluts for the idyllic Marie Antoinette (2006) dir Sofia Coppola aesthetic I get it. But if they looked and acted like the Freys (who are Peak, New Money but still Lower Class that no one wants to be around bc ew The Poors), everyone would actually give a shit about the conniving and scheming that built this dynasty. 

We can say that the Tyrells are on par with the Lannisters too, but I always think of that line from The Big Short, “He’s so transparent in his self interest, I honestly kind of respect him” re: The Lannisters. Whether you like them or not, they’re a rich family that have always been rich and that’s always going to be the end-goal. That’s how Tywin basically ends up owning the throne through steep financial debt owed to them. They’re absolutely cut-throat as fuck but its never a huge mystery about which side they’re on- they’re on their side. 

Another thing I think is really funny is how the Tyrells actually got everyone (the readers) dead convinced that they were a matriarchal family because Olenna had some snappy one-liners. But like… don’t forget that most of Margaery’s appearances in the books is her, like 15 years old, being pimped around by her father to every eligible king in Westeros. 

When I say that the marketing that this family is capable of is pretty fucking outstanding… I mean that Mace Tyrell held siege of Storm’s End for a year where Renly Baratheon nearly starved to death as a child. 15 years later, Loras Tyrell has been fostered at Storm’s End and Renly has married Margy to back Renly’s claim to the throne . Stannis has never forgiven the Tyrells nor the fact that they somehow got out of Robert’s Rebellion totally unscathed despite being on the side of the Targaryens til damn near the end. But somehow Stannis is the big meanie who just can’t get over it. Uh-huh. and NOW AT THE MOST CONVENIENT TIME, FLIP FLOP AGAIN TO SAVE KINGS LANDING!!! SURE. But none of this has ever actually made a blip on their reputations because wow isn’t their agriculture so plentiful. 

To be honest, I wouldn’t even really care about what the Tyrells were up to if they didn’t hurt Sansa so bad. Like it still HURTS MY FEELINGS they way this trash ass family made Sansa believe that they cared about her well-being and befriended her and made her feel happy for the first time in a long ass time…. but only because they wanted her to marry Willas for her inheritance of the north. But the second she was married to Tyrion, dropped her like a fucking stone. The only one that’s exempt from this is Garlan bc he went out of his way to dance with Sansa at her wedding and try to cheer her up because she was really fucking depressed. 

Here’s my thing at the end of it. None of these families are morally ~good and that’s not really the point. They’re all shady and they all have their specific end goals in design. But at a certain point its like, dude just say it with your chest??? We love scheming for revenge like with the Martells and the Northern Conspiracy. With the Freys and Lannisters and even Boltons, like I don’t like them but at least I get where their politics are and we don’t have to go through this whole flowery parade of getting everyone to fall in love with them to slide up to success. 

And I’m just so annoyed how they’re considered really good at playing ~the game of thrones~ but other houses that have done the exact same things and are totally transparent in their self interests are considered treacherous and evil. They’re just as evil and treacherous, they’re just way better looking and way more polite about it so while they’re screwing you, you can’t be upset about it.

Alright, since you brought it up 😂 the kidnapping plot. I cannot come up with any good resolutions for it. Everything I think of seems to clean (Sansa completely out playing Cersei), or to cliche (Jon riding in on a white steed to save her) so I was wondering what you think might happen with it. I am definitely ready to Sansa and Cersei to face off again though 💜

oooh okay yes!! i have lots of thoughts about the kidnapping plot!!

let me just say, my absolute dream plot line would be the stuff of fics (no really, im writing it lol) which involves pregnancy & an impromptu wedding the morning of the battle. but i think thats too far fetched for the show, honestly, so im going to let that live in fanfiction. 

as far as what i REALLY think… i agree with what you said about jon riding in on a white horse- so cliche. but on the otherhand, its what sansa had dreamed of with robb. that her brother would come riding in on his war stallion and save her from king’s landing. i think we’ll still get the fulfillment of jon rushing to her rescue without the cliche “knight on a white horse” because in the end, i think sansa will ultimately save herself in some way. or at least get her closure on the cersei chapter. 

personally, ive thought cersei would die in childbirth from the get go. as soon as we as an audience learned she was pregnant, i said to my hubby who i was watching with that that’s how she was going to go out. i think an important piece of her character is the loss of her 3 children and her inability to have another. much like i see daenerys’ lack of children beyond her dragons part of who she is, i see the same for cersei. anyways, i still think this but with a step further. 

i think its safe to say that sansa will be taken from winterfell the night of the battle against the nk. whether she goes willingly or is actually snatched like from her rooms or out of the courtyard, im not sure. i think i lean towards her going willingly, like to spare someone harm. maybe arya is being chased in the trailer by the golden company and if sansa goes, they’ll be called off. who knows. 

the timeline is funky to me here because i know it takes time to get back to king’s landing. the newest teaser “kind of” confirms that time passes- her braid looks much larger to me- and i cant decide what keeps jon from going at once. maybe no one knows who takes her, maybe he’s injured somehow and physically cant go (and the others are also dead/injured/??) or dany takes winterfell over completely and has him jailed or chained or just in general held prisoner yet again. 

anyways, once she’s back at king’s landing, i think at first sansa will be dealing with a lot of emotions. i think her first response is to be upset and possibly even dealing with a trigger of ptsd from all that happened to her there. cersei will put her into the chambers she had there the first time.

 she will have an audience with cersei almost immediately and realize she’s pregnant. they’ll talk and in the end, i imagine sansa realizing she’s not so scared of this queen anymore. we’ll get one or two of sansa’s epic clap backs and leave the conversation feeling confident. it wont be the way it was the first time. she’ll stand strong against cersei. 

i think cersei will lose her baby either that first night sansa is in king’s landing or the very next morning. it will be a few days before sansa sees cersei again and i think that talk is where we get the teary-eyed cersei drinking wine from the trailer. i think this scene will have a lot of call backs to their conversation when sansa got her period for the first time. “i hope you never have to experience this loss, little dove.” i can hear cersei say that to her and probably mean it. that’s one thing two women can bond over, regardless of anything else- the experience of a miscarriage is so traumatic and grievous, that one would never wish it upon the other. 

now, this is where my belief of cersei’s fate differs from what i had originally thought. i think she’ll drink poison out of her grief. i also think more happens- like a letter from daenerys, who is coming to storm king’s landing (if she’s alive that is) and she knows there’s nothing left. this once strong willed woman is knocked so low- she’s lost her family, her children, and the future she’d planned on building with this new baby. and now king’s landing would ultimately be destroyed or heavily damaged from the dragons. what was there left for her? we know she’d planned on doing this once before, when stannis was storming the city, so i dont see why she wouldn’t actually go through with it this time. i dont think it happens until the midst of the fight, when she knows its really over. 

maybe the sacking of king’s landing is where jon comes back into things. im still up in the air on dany’s fate post NK battle but i think with the newest teaser i can confirms she lives. i cant confirm her participation in the battle though. ive also thought for a while now that dany will abandon the NK fight when she loses another dragon (sorry rhaegal) and will return to dragonstone with whoever remains loyal to her. 

at this point, im not quite sure. there’s so many possibilities! jon could beg for dany’s help against cersei and in return he’ll give his support behind her taking the iron throne. or maybe dany never leaves the fight and once everyone is recovered enough to fight another battle, they merely join forces once again but this time to take king’s landing.

to be clear, if dany doesnt die at the NK fight, she does sacking king’s landing. game of thrones ends with her death. at least that’s how i think/feel. the targaryen name will die with her, because jon wont ever use it. even if jonsa isnt end game (lol) he wont take his birth name because that’s not who he is. on that note, i dont see him riding rhaegal into battle nor to king’s landing to save sansa. im hoping there will be no jon on a dragon at all. he will need an army or at least a strong group of soldiers on his side to storm king’s landing and take sansa back. thats why i guess i COULD lean towards dany storming king’s landing and jon using that to his advantage. when he says he’ll be out on the front lines fighting for dany’s crown, he breaks and rushes in to find sansa instead. im also not sure how much of a “fight” there would be- sure, cersei has soldiers and her own army, but dany will still have at least one dragon at this point… we know how that’s going to go. 

i guess overall i have strong thoughts on sansa’s side, but i just cant say 100% on how jon will get her back. i will say im excited for what the scene would be when he realizes she’s been taken. and watching him do whatever it takes to get her back will be incredible.

Okay, so the immediate response to this episode for me is I LOVE seeing everyone getting back together again and seeing talks/interactions between characters who haven’t interacted for a while. I can’t wait for next episode with that stuff to continue

Also SO GLAD Sam went and told Jon about his parents, and I want to see what he’s going to do with that. I don’t think he’s going to say anything yet, but I do think he’ll keep his distance from Dany??? Though I could be wrong >_> Jon definitely doesn’t WANT to be king, and I’m not sure who would believe them if he says he’s the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar-- I mean, the North probs will at this point but who else would?? I guess it’d kinda be like another Dance of Dragons, with Dany on one side, Jon on the other BUT this time with the White Walkers since they DO have the third dragon and are an immediate threat. But also I don’t imagine that happening??? I’m not sure how to explain it, but it’s like the dragons are fire and the white walkers are ice and we need a balance so - even though I don’t like it - I feel all the dragons have to die too TT_TT

Obviously I have 0 idea how this is gonna go down. I know what I WANT to happen, but it absolutely won’t be what happens so I’m trying to think about what might happen without using my feelings as the basis jsslkdjalskjd. But yeah, politics is important to game of thrones, so if Jon actually tells about his parentage that’s gonna bring a whole new aspect to the war. 

And obviously there’s still Cersei, and I LOVE Cersei’s character and I want her to die so badly too, I can’t imagine her making it to the very end but also Jamie’s the one who’s very likely going to kill her going by the prophecy, but they’re obviously nowhere near each other right now so I guess it’s not gonna happen anytime soon, or as soon as I thought it would. I can’t wait to see what happens next episode with Jamie though, like it seems like it could be bad but also he can’t die yet??? RIGHT???? and I need to see the Jamie and Brienne interactions!! AAHH!!
