came in to ‘the boys are back in town’
started by singing ‘without you without them’ backstage/ projected onscreen
julien’s lil dances around stage 😵💫
lucy dacus telling you not to kill yourself literally adds ten years to your lifespan I swear
during the ‘salt in the wound’ guitar solo, phoebe and lucy picked julien up and swung her around. immaculate
julien had to save a bug onstage. when phoebe reasoned that it was already outside, julien argued that it was on its back. phoebe proceeded to dedicate the next song to the bug.
phoebe sneezed and julien said GOD. BLESS. YOU. exactly like that
the whole band is so. fucking hot.
phoebe made the crowd congratulate two of her friends on video, since she was missing their wedding
when the girl next to me yelled SHE TOOK HER JACKET OFF I saw julien had, in fact, taken her suit jacket off and I truly ascended
lucy said something to the effect of ‘I see a lot of gay people out there. I hope all gay and trans people uh… have a nice day.’
julien and phoebe kiss 🥺
during lucy’s part in ‘please stay,’ julien went right up to the screen and just stood there, looking up at lucy’s projection like she was stargazing
did I mention how hot they are. did I mention julien’s arms. did I mention ju-

Omfg ik im late to the party but i just watched Loki season two and by far is it the best show ever. The took a simple character (that everyone loved but didn’t get much screen time), and turned it into a story all its own. MCU far out of thought.
Love and care was put into the show and it’s clear. The creators wanted to tell their own story without the binds of the Avengers, and they did it perfectly while still staying in universe.
The writing, characterization, pacing, symbolism, all of it was *chefs kiss*. I’m sure it’s not a perfect show, but it was entertaining and it was produced brilliantly.
It has easily made its way onto my top 3 best tv shows list.

HL Incorrect Quote #31
Natty: You guys believe in karma, don't you?
Sebastian: Yes we do, but only because we're karma chameleons.
Ominis: We come and go.

Kiseki: Dear To Me was everything I wanted it to be!
Was it perfect? No absolutely not. But it was fun and engaging and gave me something to obsess over for a few weeks (along with IFYLITA).
The finale made me sad and happy and I honestly am really salty about the fact that the gang leaders dads didn’t kiss (they deserved to!).
Side note: Chen Yi and Ai Di’s story is everything I love in a childhood friends to lovers story. The angst! The pining! The fact that Chen Yi is an absolute obtuse dumbass!
My heart’s rating: 10/10 a perfect show no changes. Definitely recommend
My actual rating: 8.5-9/10 definitely recommend. Some issues but nothing glaringly bad. Solid acting and presentation.

“Love Between Fairy and Devil” really said screw toxic masculinity, let’s have our alpha male hero learn how to be the softest gardener boy, and I think that’s really neat of them.

Just started watching "Blue Eye Samurai" last night, and the amount of gender envy I have towards Mizu is wild. The straight guys I watched it with did not understand what the fuck that term meant, and they never will.

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing a fantasy/sci-fi children cartoon show, but the portrayal of authority figures like teachers and parents is done in an accurate/realistic way. The teachers pay close attention in class, so the heroes genuinely struggle to escape their school in order to fight the big baddie of the week. Hiding the truth is also HARD because school promotes a measure of honesty from the students.
The parents won't be that understanding because, big shocker! They would rather NOT see their child go out and fight with risk of life in mind! They won't be so quick to accept the situation and can/will take drastic measures (aka: skip town) in order to protect their kid.
Friends also act differently than what cartoons normally show. Some might be willing to go 'ride or die' and risk their own lives, but the majority will go "Yeah, NO!" as soon as they find out, because big whoop! Humans are somewhat selfish by nature and self-preservation is a thing. Also trust that the authority figures will handle it so knowing who to trust isn't easy.
In other words, I've been doing a rewatch of Code Lyoko and remembered one of the reason it was such a good show. Maybe not in the exact context, but it came very close to what I'm pointing at.

Something I love about The X Files is every conspiracy theory and supernatural thing is true. Does cannibalism produce longevity? Of course. Do ancient cat gods exist and have the ability to control feral cats? Naturally. Is the US government covering up the existence of aliens? Of fucking course they are.
