OTP:

Astarion : I'm sorry, they share a single braincell. They really do. I could write out Nihil's approvals and it would line up to Astarion's 95% of the time. They get along disturbingly well and Nihil would do just about anything for Astarion. They were both thrust in a life or death choice by a manipulative person and made the decision to survive only to pay for it by becoming chained to that person forever. Both use sex to manipulate and are numbed to killing, even having fun in doing it. Both are also just kinda here for the vibes in the worst way possible. Gortash: Ok ok I have been vocal abt the idea that Nihil and Gortash had a strictly sexual relationship with repressed feelings for each other for a bit, but what definitely gets me is both were hated and considered some kind of burden without truly knowing why and were picked up by their gods for their potential (and seemingly at their lowest point). Nihil was freshly widowed and his s/o someone who was one of the only people who didn't think he was a monster. So Gortash, this brilliant, well-spoken and frankly dashing man not only seemingly trusts him and values their partnership genuinely but re-iterates he isn't a monster? It's over boys.

Acceptable Ships:

Shadowheart : Shadowheart was my original plan for Nihil honestly-- also a lot in common, worshipping "misunderstood" gods (though one could argue that at least Kelemvor is just distant, he isn't out here making people commit mass murders for him that I have seen. Bhaal? Got me there), they're fairly secretive people and like people who can respect their boundaries and let them come out of their shell, they want to be kind even if its not supposed to be in their nature... Honestly she should be in the OTP category but its not hard for him to be set up with any of the companions. Lae'zel : Gith have Nihil's whole heart. Really, her biggest drawback that made her not an OTP for him is just that she is snippy towards him asking questions which is really just a no go. But loves her loyalty and decisiveness and does what he can to understand why she is how she is and give her proper space and respect. Also he just loves siccing her on people. It's fun. Wyll: Honestlyyy I kinda accidentally fell in love with them dancing, I was expecting to find them so cute. But Wyll, like Karlach and Gale, deserve far better than a nightmare void of a man. I mean everyone deserves better but mostly Wyll, Karlach and Gale.

Born to Kelehan Faalgard and Dannikah Hjol-- the son of an esteemed fabric merchant and a third generation Seldarine Drow immigrant respectively. Born in a small village outside of Baldur's Gate called Auburn Trail.

Danikkah struggled to keep a pregnancy throughout the first few years of marriage and exhausted every avenue to try and have a child with her husband. Her final loss in her second trimester drove her to seek out a hag living in the forest hugging the south of the village with the reluctant blessing of her husband.

Struck a deal with the hag, Mother Radley; a child with the power to beat the odds in exchange for what the couple cared for the most. Danikkah agreed, believing what she cared for the most was her family's long-standing farmstead. She was given an infused piece of 'a divine's flesh' to eat and successfully fell pregnant.

The family was shunned during the pregnancy when word got out how Danikkah got pregnant and Kelehan's tailor shop took a hit but despite the stress, the pregnancy progressed.

A drow girl appeared in their sheep's meadow a few weeks before Danikkah was due to give birth--With a surprising clarity the girl called Danikkah her mother, as 'Lady Silverhair told her to'. Believing the girl to be a late-answered prayer from Eilistraae herself, Danikkah was overjoyed to take her in and name her Dirzarra-- her soon-to-be son's older sister.

Nicholai was born and when Mother Radley came to retrieve her end of the bargain, she revealed that their daughter was the prized possession she wanted. The family refused and in turn were offered an ultimatum: Dirzarra came with her, or Nicholai would be undone. She gave the couple until their son turned 8, imbuing him with a magic illness that could not be cured until either a decision was made or the boy died.

Nicholai's parents would seek out clerics and priests to help, knowing the sickness could not be cured but willing to try. They were even more outcasts and it spread to the kids as time went on.

Nicholai spent most of his days ill at home, unable to play and help with chores and it only worsened as his time ran out. Days before his 8th birthday, he and Dirzarra were jumped in the meadow by one of the hag's servants. In a desperate attempt to save his sister, Nicholai unleashed his fury and frustration on the redcap and savaged it until it died.

When his time came, Nicholai was rushed to Baldur's Gate and the Stormshore Tabernacle for help, every other temple refusing the family's begging. When it was clear he was beyond saving, a priest of Kelemvor approached to read his last rites as a kindness to the family.

As he was about to pass, Nicholai was intervened by Bhaal, naming himself a savior to the boy and able to rid him of his disease if he vowed his soul and talents to him. Nicholai agreed and was saved, allowing those around him to believe it was Kelemvor that took pity on him and spared him this death.

As he grew, more murders around the village would spring up. The residents were panicked but unable to solve the killings, even when the Flaming Fists and various adventurers were called in. Nicholai proved himself a perfect assassin and worshipped Bhaal fervently. When he was 15, he would have a vision bidding him to kill the hag, Mother Radley. When he did, he would find the contract between the hag and his mother for his birth, as well as letters detailing his illness.

Outraged, his rancid blood bid him to turn on his parents and sister, failing the attempt before running away to Baldur's Gate under the false pretense of wanting a higher education and to eventually join a small group of Kelemvorite priests. There he would seek the attention of the Bhaalist cult, eventually being summoned to meet Sarevok and was christened as an initiate, changing his name to 'Nihil the Rotten'

𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓

Nihil would train under the previous leader of the Bhaalist temple as an initiate from the age of 16, alongside his kin, Orin the Red. He would assume a false position as a medical student and Kelemvor cleric, specializing in the last rites of murder victims whose families could not afford services.

He would attempt to leave the cult at 21, with the help of his lover, a Lathanderan vengeance paladin named Flynn Bardr. However, he succumbed to his Urges shortly after a quick union and kill his new husband. Destroyed at the outcome, Nihil returned to the temple to face his kin and his mentor.

When he returned, the high priest attacked with the intent to kill the traitor, only for Nihil to kill him instead and claim his betrayal a test of his faith and take the high priest role for himself. He would proceed to grieve for his lover and beg Bhaal's forgiveness in private.

a few years later he would meet arms dealer and Banite Enver Gortash and they would agree to a tentative alliance at the behest of their gods. Over time they would both eventually be appointed as Chosen and enact Gortash's Accelerated Grand Design (not canon to RP, they would start a sexual relationship shortly after the theft of the Crown of Karsus.)

Orin and Nihil's relationship, already strained by his betrayal as she did not believe it a test of his faith, worsened as he took what she believed was her rightful place and began to brush her off, deeming her 'beneath him now'. This would lead to her betrayal in the Illithid colony.

Craig Tucker for the ask

First impression None, the first eps I saw he was a non-factor. Literally a nobody to me.

Impression now I've come to finally actually like Craig. They've done more to develop secondary characters and I love it.

Favorite moment Any time his gang and Stan's gang get involved in playing games together, particularly larping kinds with ninjas or cops. I love HOW MUCH more extreme Stan's gang takes it when Craig's just out here trying to be a normal kid lol

Idea for a story He and Tweek have been happily dating for years, on the cusp of graduating high school. Cartman says they're boring and going to get stuck in a rut, one of those sexless, pipe-smoking and newspaper-reading, 50s marriages. Craig's like 'yeah okay fuck you' but realizes he and Tweek are already in a routine and do pm exactly the same thing every day, go on dates to the same places, call each other the same time each night. He tries to spice things up and Tweek freaks out, goes 'CRAIG ARE YOU HAVING A MIDLIFE CRISIS?' and Craig is like 'I'm literally 17, no I'm not having a midlife crisis'. They talk and realize they both like routines/ it calms Tweek's anxiety and Craig's just Like That lol

Unpopular opinion Fandom tends to see Craig as much cooler than I do, lowkey I think if someone he hated had a loud party I think he'd call the cops on a noise complaint, look out his window to see the cop cars, close his blinds, then hop into bed.

Favorite relationship His and Tweek's to be sure. I'm not really all that invested in relationships that aren't Style but they've taken what's kind of a crack ship and made it so sweet. Like they're not perfect but they clearly care about each other, talk, and do things to work out their problems. And I love that they lasted through Post Covid. These guys got married at 18 lbr.

Favorite headcanon Genuinely just that he and Tweek last forever and don't have any real breaks before they get married. I'm a sucker for stories where you meet the love of your life young.

Some more @spider-lilies-if art this time featuring a portrait of my MC Seleni when she's a about 15 or 16. I'm not sure what kind of traditions Vanthelia has when nobles come of age 🤔. Although considering Aris is the king it'd probably be expected for Seleni to make her official debut at court at some point ( lbr Aris would want to put it off as long as possible. He doesn't want others trying to use his treasured daughter, or some spoiled noble's son sniffing around her! Until Seleni seems so excited about attending an official ball and asking her Papa if he'll be her first dance at her debut.) So of course he commissions a portrait to mark the occasion. Just imagine how terrified the poor artist would be while painting her portrait, even without the Accursed King hovering over their shoulder what kind of person poses with a Chimera likeit'sa house cat! Thankfully Aris does love the portrait and Seleni apologizes for any stress they may have caused them, as well as generous payment for their work (as well as discreetly sending a miniature of the portrait to the Princesses fiancé in Nilhiem 🤫)

Because lbr both Aris and Valar would be crying at how pretty Sece looks in her portrait.

I've also made a height comparison of Seleni and Valar over the years. With some possible concepts of what older Valar might look like (I have no idea what courtly fashion is like in Nilhiem is like, so Valar gets a monochrome wardrobe for now). Also I'm a sucker for a potential childhood friends romance/ promise to marry especially since I could see Valar being shorter than Seleni for most of their childhood and teens, as well as Aris possibly even bullying Valar about it ...at least until adulthood when Valar hits a growth spurt and now he can properly bridal carry Seleni.

I'd just like to say it has been a treat seeing how OW has progressed even over the short while I've been chillin' out in this side of the VN gardens. The art has bonkers fluidity and sheer expression, the writing would feel just as at home in a dark fantasy book section, and speaking of fantasy, I just love the unconventional angle it takes in OW. And the setting... Environmental Storytelling: The Game. I didn't think a VN could create as much dread through environmental storytelling as a boss encounter that's ten levels higher than you over the horizon in an RPG. But OW manages to accomplish that with particular settings (albeit there is no magic regeneration to worry about 🤣 just impending death). And every character is so believable and fleshed-out, like someone you could know in real life (barring Klep Oswald, he is simply a perfect, divine being). A large part of them being so fleshed-out-- and in turn, the setting-- is because of how much everyone is the setting, and how much of the setting is them. All of them being unable to move beyond Wonderland or their home town, and both of those places being a reflection of themselves, is so good... I am a sucker for stories that are as much their setting as they are anything else, or more than they are anything else. Anyways, sappy rant over, the person who is the number one contributor to making people unaware of OW think the game is about cat boys is signing out 🐈 (It is about cat boys. In my heart.)

i've been a horrible wreck of a person these last weeks because of my family stuff and also debilitating anxiety because of my work situation, so i've basically been throwing myself into work on this game and trying to get it finished and working so intensely that i'm probably going to crash horribly afterwards

so hearing this is making me both very emotional and also very grateful

grateful that there are people who can enjoy and love the story and its characters and its storytelling

i can't even begin to state how much it's meant to me having people who care about this game, especially with how much of my life it's taken up (basically 99% of it... lbr) for so long now. i've gotten so emotional working on parts of the finale that i've had to stop working because i couldn't stop crying LKDJASDFA not only because it's gotten so personal but also just all the built-up emotions of it nearing its end. and like. i feel like i probably would never have reached this point if i hadn't had so many people bringing me joy and telling me how much they could relate to the chars or how much the characters mean to them.

so thank you very much for this, this really means a lot 🥺💕

For the rqg asks 1, 5, 7, 9, 14, 16 (I know you write a lot for the show and I absolutely adore all of what you do but what are you most proud of?) 19?

1. What is that one moment from the show that you will find yourself thinking back to, intermittently, for years to come?

Grizzop's death and afterlife. I listened to the show out of order, jumped in with my partner toward the tail end of the Damascus Arc and when Grizzop took those hit points for Sasha and went down, I shed some genuine tears and again at his epilogue. That was the point where I decided to go back to listen from the beginning and I was truly lost.

5. Pick a character and make a prediction for their epilogue.

Barnes Carter and Cel are going to move to a cabin by the seaside and live their best non monogamous monster fucking lives. (we didn't see REALISTIC predictions for the finale.)

7. What is something you do not at all think will happen in the finale, but is just fun to daydream about?

HONESTLY all the things that I had been daydreaming about have already come to pass: Aphophis turning up with the steel chair, Amelia and the Vengeance getting their smash on Guivres (I still don't know how to fkn spell it), the rest of the NPCs turning up to help!! Like!! This is what narrative satisfaction feels like!

So LBR the thing that I don't think will happen in the finale but is very fun to daydream about is both Zolf and Wilde making it out alive to their soft epilogue because Ben and Alex are gunning for that tragedy.

9. Which was your favourite arc and why?

The Mr Ceiling and Unreality arc in Paris. It's really the first moment in the show where the lid PROPERLY blows off in terms of how steampunk and science fiction this story is despite being set in the Pathfinder/fantasy world, and even though it seemed clear the party was in a fantasy pretty quickly, I am still a sucker for simulation/unreality stories, especially where characters are forced to go back and do the hard thing instead of staying in a blissful illusion.

14. What’s a detail of the show that you always forgot, and when you’re reminded of it it always comes as a shock?

Aziza's death. The fact that Alex did that felt... almost too much. I really hope it was something that was discussed with players but especially Bryn beforehand, because that level of RPing tragedy and grief isn't something that you want to spring on players, and it has the potential to really veer the character off in a new direction in a way that the player doesn't have a lot of agency over.

16. If you’ve ever created fan content for the show, which piece are you most proud of?

THIS IS SUCH A HARD QUESTION AND LIKE MAKING ME PICK MY FAVOURITE CHILD!!! Like I think there's something good about almost everything that I've written for RQG, from the longer-form Strange Company stuff to the oneshots I did for Kinktober. BUT if I have to choose I suppose I would say I'm probably most proud of the most recent installment of Strange Company (It Takes a Great Deal of Courage) because writing the love confessions and culmination of a slowburn is really hard, because you've got the weight of the 20k build up behind it, and doing that justice took a lot of wrangling. I've still got more SC to go, but unfortunately I have missed my initial goal of finishing ti before the series ended. Hopefully the finale doesn't break my heart so badly that I can't keep going with it.

19. Can you try to put into words the crushing nostalgia you now feel when you think back to the prologue episodes, and how you felt listening to them for the first time vs how that would feel now?

I don't carry the weight of crushing nostalgia that some of you might because I foolishly only got into RQG about six months ago! I pounded through all the content within a couple of months and then started in on shovelling fan fiction in my mouth as fast as I could. And whilst listening back definitely makes my heart hurt in a delicate and aching way, I don't have the 6 years worth of feelings that I know some of y'all are currently going through. My life had also changed a lot in the last six months tho (went from studying to new job, Covid tumultuous times, gender and hormone times). So weirdly when I think back to listening to the starting eps I think about me and how much I've changed and ploughed ahead, and how grateful I am that this show and the community around it has inspired me to get back into writing for the first time in years.

87% of the reason I picked up Inquisition after 2 was because Varric was in it. He is by far one of the best written Dragon Age characters. Currently I'm reading everything Nat related, Skin&Earth (Dynamite Entertainment), GLOW (IDW Publishing), and rereading Fraction's Hawkeye. I usually read more, but that's all I have time for atm.

Skin&Earth sounds familiar, but i’ma look it up anyways. GLOW sounds familiar too. a friend of mine got into Saga and wants me to read it soooo i’ll probably do that between semesters. fraction’s hawkeye is like, the only proper hawkeye too lbr. i’m tryna think if there’s any other comics i’ve read…old man hawkeye is really good. i’m also reading old man quill which is turning out pretty good too. i wish i was following war of the realms, but that might be something i do after the arc reaches its climax since it’s such a huge arc. domino’s hotshots has nat in it so ofc i’m reading that one. uhmmmmm pearl is a good one, even tho it’s bendis. 

i can’t think of anymore! i’ve been wanting to read the umbrella academy since i was told it’s pretty different from the series on netflix ( which i loved ).

Yeah, for me I would have wanted a slow burn with Vic and Matty. I'm a sucker for the old "friends to lovers" trope and l can't remember the last time we had one in soap. This sl would have been perfect for it and I'm feeling the missed potential :/

Emmerdale´s the land of missed opportunities and unused potential, but I´m holding out judgment til I´ve actually seen what they´re going to do with all that. I could totally get behind them as a pairing, if they do not rush it too much, and from the spoilers it sounds like Vic will be hitting the breaks once things become a bit too serious too quickly. Like you said, there´s nothing better than a good friends to lovers story, and I´d love to see those two grow closer by sharing some of the massive stuff they´ve been through lately and helping each other move forward. That would help to establish and explore Matty´s character further and it´d be such a big deal for Vic as well considering how little focus they´ve given her in the aftermath of all the Adam drama. But lbr at the end of the day I´m just happy that both of them seem to be getting some significant screentime.

Asshole!!!! Is!!!!! The!!!!!! Definition!!! Of!!!!!! HERO!!!!” one hundred and six chapters and about half a year in the canon of the manga later and he’s still thinking about it, amazing - you know what, I love how these two’s friendship started with each of them reading too much into what the other was saying and preemptively deciding they’re the best person in the whole universe you go you precious gays do your thing

I love it????? It’s definitely my favorite m/f ship for Bakugou, I drew them once too!! Aside from drawing them in the squad doodles, obviously - they’re incredibly appealing to me, both visually (they’re both gorgeous?? and also pastel colors??? they look so good next to each other?????) and also personality wise, though the second is really because Mina is a lot like Kiri on a lot of things, I can’t deny that

SINCE I ship all pairs separately and you know I love the ot3, I don’t really have any problems with the ot4 either!! SHIP, definitely, I’ve been meaning to draw for that one for ages it’s a very soft and pure ship, what a good (...tbh generally my shipping habits inside the dekusquad are the same as the ones I have with the bakusquad, every ship is good and I love all of it - though I’m more of a fan of the Extra™ and noisy and all over the place type of characters, I find them more entertaining to draw for, so my focus ends up on the explosive squad all times every time hahaha rip)

Wow okay…my personal top 11 is comprised of ppl I foundenjoyable to watch and have fun cheering for, I’m a sucker for dumb fools and hiddenstorylines so yeah. 

But, man if they put this group together I would screambecause noooomg it would mostly be a comedy troupe than an idol group. theymight as well be called 10gagmen1straightman (10G1S)

yoon jisung- I likedhim ever since ep 1. I think that most, if not all of the trainees were chatteringaway during the auditions but I find that he seems to not really censor hismouth. I think a lot of the trainees are very and tense image conscious (theyshould be due to mnet) and Jisung (and the other MMO guys) were more relaxed. He’s funny but not offensive funny…Iremember like when Daehwi was explaining his avengers team, Jisung was likeyeah, go ahead and eat up all the popular members, Dahewi and JKKSJDKSJKJKSTHAT MAN. He seems like a genuinely fun and nice person to be a round, judgingby how he seems close to both his label-mates and his 10/10 group-mates….anyways📢📢📢I LVOETHIS MAN AND THAT ANTI WHO DM’D HIM TO GET HIM IN TROUBLE CAN SRSLY FCUK OFF!!!📢📢📢

kim taemin -  he was so cute in his intro vid but he was sonervous his voice was shaking so much lmao poor thing…. But im fucking….ifthere’s really a meme in this show, it’s taemin…everything they show of him, he’smaking a damn fool of himself. Him screaming in the hiddenbox thing, himfailing to do headstands, him dancing to nayana…yeah I lof the fool!! What reallymade me like him was him acting so surprised and happy when someone called hisname wayyyy back during the first nayana perf. Like….he seemed so amazed to have fans lmao what a gem. Park Jihoon –yeah that wink got me shook. But yeah, srsly speaking, his wink did catch myeye but I thought he was going to be wayyyyyy to cute-ish for my tastes. Kim Yehyeon – He seemslike a really sweet guy and this story is what basically made me stan him (andgave him that 39+ rank rise) my boy is a fuckin saint he went to the emergencyroom because he was too overworked and he had to perform Be Mine will injured..T_T He did not almost die for no screentime and continuous repeats and zoom-insof ppl gulping….anyways he’s also dumb, you should support 

Lee Junwoo – an actualbaby!!!!!!!! He caught my eye in episode 0 but I totally forgot who he wasuntil I saw his famous TATATA dance. What I liked about him was that he didn’t completelygive up after messing up and he kept on going hard @ the dance (he even made itto a C despite those mistakes!) he’s an awesome dancer and has good expressions!I really look forward to seeing his Shape of You stage (I think) I heard it wassupposed to be real good. I’m also screaming because he looks like a baby is ashuge as an elephant IRL 184CM HOOOLLLLLY

kim yongguk – I gotto know him because of that pann post and I support and adore him so much butnot as much as kim sihyun does!!!!! He’s a pretty nice vocalist and pretty goodsinger..but I think because baekho stole the entire stage, it’s hard to judgehis stage presence,  I really do lookforward to seeing his stage and seeing him be more of a savage!

Ahn hyungseop – Ilove him, he’s such a textbook slyth, he even expressed disappointment ingetting a lower rank than before. I can see why ppl don’t like him (similar todaehwi) but I really do adore him and his quirky ways. While I think he’s agood performer, I do think he would be more a B-rank rather than A. I’m stillnot quite convinced of his singing just yet….

Joo Haknyeon – tbh,I feel like he was born to be an idol with a face like that, I think it has amore idol-ish feel than Jihoon’s. I find that he’s a really decent dancer too!I do wish he had a better audition song…like why’d u choose that song and b-boyto it omf. He seems to be a total sweetheart as well! Hanywayz…..i wanna seemore of his friendship with ong, they seem to be good friends as well Y_Y @mnetGIV EHIM MORE SCREENTIME.

Yoo Seonho – it’sa surprised to me how much I like him?? He’s so cute and harmless lmao. I can totallysee why he was casted, along with guanlin, and sent out despite being only trainees for 6 months. they will super popular in thefuture (if cube doesn’t fuck up). I’m not really expecting much from him, beinga 6 month trainee, but he did surprisingly ok in sorry sorry compared to hisexperience, I’m looking forward to seeing his next stage. He also seems to be agreat guy, judging by his fanaccs and activities.

Yeo Hwanung – he’sa great dancer and stable vocalist, why is he being slepton?????????????????????? He seems super sweet and patient with Justin too likegoing through the notes together…

Notable mentions: everyone else, I fucking love and support all of them!!!!!! I just find these 11 really interesting at the moment.

Kim Jaehwan – holyyy shit his voice is sooo good. All theguys in sorry sorry team 2 were good, but the dude carried the vocals for histeam, lbr. Im sincerely hoping he pulls up into the final 11, the vocals would get a huge upgrade holy shit son.

 Im Youngmin – alpacaaaaa aaaaaa!! He’s growing on me somuch and seems to be a very kind person, teaching the be mine moves foreveryone. I love that group so much, they seem genuinely close to each other !!  His rapping is good and he seems to be quitecharismatic on stage

Kim Taedong – His jump from F to A holyyyy shit whattaman!!!  His moves are sharp and he’s astable singer, I’m really liking what I’m seeing from him so far. I think he’s real idol material and he seems likea complete dork too, I loff!!!!!!

Yoon Heeseok, lmaoooo he’s also another living meme. He’san excellent singer, I really want him to work on his dancing a bit though but heseems to be improving quite nicely, from F-B. his shoulders are also killer.
